Gojo probably came up with the whole “nobody should have their childhood taken away from then” after he got traumatized by geto’s betrayal and riko’s death, eleven years prior to the main story. He was still 16-17 when this happened, which definitely took a toll on him.

so yeah basically he has a perfectly normal family (everybody in the Gojo clan can use Infinity to some extent, gojo was just born with it AND six eyes so he’s just special) he probably was treated a bit differently, but not in a bad way. Boy was NOT being worshipped for his power like what let him enjoy his life without “canon this canon that”
