Other things - Daily Diarrhea Diary - Decent. CPAP timer - i have worn it. Most of the nights. i think i’m 3/9 missables now. i’m not positive. But... yea. i’ve been.. sick. i was hoping that i would be able to swoop in here and tell you all about the appointment i had today but... ok so rolling it back a little bit
The Car: Sir noticed the trunk was stuck on Friday, which is not good. He contacted my grampa to ask for help from Gooddeeds. Yesterday someone came and fixed it! Yay! ...only they left the car door open which drained the battery completely. So. When we went to try to leave today for my appointment - the car was Dead. Fully battery drain. Yep.
Appointment: So here’s a list of Stuff The Appointment Is For, ye? It’s a lot.
- 6/22 totally normal period ~5ish days. Unsure of finish date exactly.
- 7/20-23 started very late the 19th/very early the 20th. Seemingly normal period, but shorter.
- 7/28-31 bleeding, sort of normal period. Not Heavy heavy.
- 8/7 bleeding, one day, enough to tampon throughout the day, but by the end of the day, done.
- Wednesday (8/31) first started very faintly spotting, Thursday big sploosh day, Friday slow down trickle, Saturday ending spotting, Sunday the very faintest spotting, essentially done.
- 9/10-12 spotting again.
Other Things:
- Left foot swelling.
- See above for period things. Thought maybe ovarian cyst burst? Terrified/paranoid about ectopic pregnancy.
- Lower left abdomen discomfort, border of pain/discomfort, never quite reaches pain (constant, more noticeable when i need to urinate, eases when i've urinated), very mild (both) kidney discomfort (comes and goes, is there much more often when i need to urinate, is almost never there when i do not).
- 99% of the time at least mildly chilly, if not downright Cold. Sweater is best friend.
So, suffice it to say, i probably have a uti which my actually be developing into a kidney infection, i may have had an ovarian cyst pop or i may have an ectopic pregnancy (terrifying), my thyroid is out of control (i’m hypothyroid, low, so i’m Low Low apparently), the foot could be a lot of things that could also be delving into diabetes?!, and... yea. It’s a lot. Phew.
i’ve been really really not feeling well. So. That’s why i haven’t been posting. But here i am, posting. Oh and ontop of all of that my migraines are out of fucking control, so that’s fun. Blehhhhhhhhhhh.
i did take a shower today! That was lovely. Very excited about that. Very exhausted. Uh. yea. Stuff and things.

Dawn Of The Simfected: Meet The Neighbours
You can create your own Sims or add these ones to your game. They'll all play a part in the challenge. Find them under suesimming in the gallery
The Partner
You've always liked your neighbour Dizzy. She's odd but sweet and always takes care of everyone in your building. When the virus hits, you two decide to team up and what you learn about her really surprises you. First, she's a very country Sims and can clean and cook fish like you've never seen. Second, she's packing and thank goodness because the neighbours seem to want to snack on you. Third, she's hot. She's the prefect survival partner.
The Herbalist
While hiding in the woods waiting for the worst of the R8-GE virus to pass, you meet Jayla. She knows everything about plants and how to use them to heal. When someone in camp falls deadly ill, Jayla steps in and saves them. When winter starts to draw near, you know you have to move your group to lower ground to avoid the worst of the snow and Jayla agrees to go with.
The Rooftop Camp
At The Caboose you can get warm coffee, a cold brew and whatever Bill is cooking up. He has a big heart, a great sense of humour and nothing scares him. Not even Sims that want him on the menu. He sets up camp on the roof of his building and provides a landing spot for Sims fleeing the city
The Kid
One night you meet this little runt, running from a bunch of hooligans. You feel sorry for the kid but the virus is everywhere and you know by taking her in you are exposing not only yourself but the whole group and it's a extra mouth to feed. On the other hand, you can't let the poor kid fight this thing on her own but then again, she's made it this far so she might be useful.
The Del Sol Gang
The Nomads are a feral tribe of Sims that run Del Sol. Made up of four classes: Chiefsblood that rule the tribe with an iron bloody fist, Scavs that provide for the tribe, Enders that act as enforces/soldiers and Worklings. If you cross paths with Nomads, you better run. They'll take everything you have and either make you a workling or end you. The most feared Sims in Del Sol Valley, even worse than the dead.
The Sulani Rescue Team
When R8-GE hit, Tess was just a seaplane pilot flying tourist into Sulani & Ed was slinging drinks at The Sand Bar. Now Ed does supply runs at night with two of the dead to help carry the goodies he finds, he found by feeding them plasma fruit & plasma packs he can stop them from attacking him. Tess flies supplies out to other communities like those in Henford, Chestnut and Bridleton. She also goes on rescue missions with Ed to save Sims trapped by the dead.
The Big Guns
The Oasis Springs base has held up well with such a small force to defend it. They've kept most of the herds out of Oasis and raiders know to keep well away. The time has come to train those left after R8-GE and take back Simnation. Colonel Gregory won't settle for anything but the best of the best as she knows you'll have to go into the deadlands aka Strangerville to save Simkind and that won't be for the weak.
The Ranch
This family lost many friends to the R8-GE virus. They've worked the land on Yellowrock for generations and when Sims found their way to the ranch, the family knew it was time to build a new community on the land they knew so well. Who needs cars when you have horses right? And plenty of crops to feed everyone. Heins finds himself the unlikely mayor of this new little town.
The Manor
When the R8-GE virus hit, Holden didn't wait around to see what happens. He put a fence around his farm, secured his animals and got the manor ready to receive more Sims. He had Dr. Nostrum move in and build a clinic. His farm soon turned into a small town, a safe haven and a place to not just survive but thrive. He hopes to create a future for his little girls even if the world has gone to hell.
The Harbour
When the world was taken over by the R8-GE virus, no one was left to look after the animals. Fisherman Herbert and Vet Frances are working around the clock to save not only pets but their owners. Brindleton has become a safe harbor for all. The docks are busy day and night with Sims arriving, buying food and trading items. Frances finds herself in the role of mayor since the old went ran off into the woods when Sims started to turn. She's turned the vet clinic into a clinic for Sims too, although she doesn't really know how to treat Sims. So say "moo"...oh dear, we mean "aaah".
Your New Best Friend
You go to check on your downstairs neighbour, a army vet that you think might have an idea about how bad this virus could be. Sadly, you find a note asking someone to please take care of Soldier. You can hear movement in the next room but you're pretty sure whatever it is, is no longer your neighbour. You take Soldier, close the door and tape a note to it "Do not enter. Dead inside"

BREAKING: UNIDENTIFIED "FLYING SAUCER" found by two human hikers in the eastern Yellowrock area, claimed to have seen "LITTLE GREEN MEN" fleeing the scene!
The two went on in greater detail about the green men, specifying that they "Definitely weren't the goblin kind," though investigators haven't ruled out the possibility.

I hate Skinwalker stories (the way white people tell them)
You know, keeping up with the theme of indigenous/decolonial topics this week, and knowing that Halloween is right around the corner, let me... talk about this thing. Because it annoys the living hell out of me.
The yee naaldlooshii, which white folks coined "the skinwalker" got very, very much appropriated by white people and turned into just one random horror story monster. Of course, the same is true for the wendigo. Both kinda share the same fate.
Both are creatures that play a role within the mythology of their respective cultures (the Navajo and the people of the Great Plains) and serve multiple purposes within those cultures. But of course to white folks this did not matter at all. White folks went: "Oh, scary monster, hehe" and then promptly went to incorporate it into their horror stories.
They ignore all the historical and cultural context. They ignore what these creatures or rather symbols mean to the cultures they were from. They just are used for cheap scares, in just a very basic version of cultural appropriation.
We see this both in terms of horror stories and general horror media, but also in the way a lot of white folks keep talking about running into skinwalkers or wendigos somewhere. (And especially somewhere far away at times from the areas where they belong.)
Skinwalkers and Wendigos are just this horror staple, that gets picked up by white people again and again. We see it in Urban Fantasy again and again, at times even as central themes (the horrible Jane Yellowrock books are the first thing that comes to mind here).
And like... just stop it. Stop it.
I know white people really do not understand how it is having their cultural markers taken and appropriated, because most of them have not much of mythology they feel linked to. But... yeah. Just leave your hands of stuff that isn't yours.

Nell Ingram draws her powers from deep in the earth, and uses them to help Psy-LED, the Psychometric Law Enforcement Division, which solves paranormal crimes. When a local vampire calls to report a dead body on her compound, Nell knows she and her team have to be ready for anything.
But the dead body is just the beginning of a mystery that involves supernaturals of all kinds, including some of the most powerful vampires in the country. As Nell gets closer to the truth, she begins to understand that the perpetrator is tracking her too—and that there is something personal about this crime. Something with roots that go almost as deep as those in Soulwood.
By book six I am totally invested in Nell and the Psy-LED crew. The mystery is always so interesting and the romance between she and Occam, so, so sweet! Does it matter that Nell comes from a line that has an affinity with plants and the Earth? A kind of brownie or sprite, which sounds kind of cute and sweet, but her powers are tied to her land which can be hungry. I find the personification of her “Vampire tree” as a Green Knight who will protect she and her family very interesting. Especially since that Knight seems to be evolving, now able to communicate in a very humanistic way. I’m curious to see where Faith Hunter is taking that character and if it/he can evolve into reality. In fact, when you look at Nell and the Green Knight’s evolution, it seems like it’s Nell that is becoming more plant-like and the Knight more human. Like I said, interesting!
When the Angel in the latest Jane Yellowrock book gave the Vampire’s their soul’s back, a kind gesture I’m sure, but causing all sorts of havoc in the vamp community. They now have “feelings” which are damned inconvenient for a bunch of bloodsuckers. When an ancient vampire from the Spanish Inquisition comes to town his intentions seem to be connected to Soulwood and Nell’s family, so as expected, Nell goes all twigs and twines in defending her territory. Sweet and salty Nell is now coming into her own as a threat and I love that evolution!
Amidst all the doom, gloom, and interspecies fighting, Nell and Occam are planning their wedding. These brief moments are such a contrast to all the darkness in the story and really create that impact of blinding love conquering all that makes their union so wonderful. I really enjoy this plant woman and her cat man. They are a fun couple to root for! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
