just some stuff about how SAGAU thinks about your obsession with playing music when playing the game.

Whenever you graced Teyvat with your presence through your acolytes, there would without a doubt be music playing. More so than the silk smooth sound of your adored voice.

On the first occasion that you decided to play music when playing genshin, the characters merely thought that it was something you did every now and then. Play a small tune, because everyone could use a little wonderful music in their life. The more often the occurrence appeared, the more they recognized you as a music lover.

They are beyond interested with your world's music. Some have sounds that don't possibly sound like they could be from an instrument. Rock seems much more common in your world then theirs. Lots of them make little mental and physical notes about it, along with your music tastes and all time favorites.

And so music is now closely connected to you. Performances you hear in game are known as wonderful, because of your approval to the sounds. Some play tunes they heard when passing your team, and those songs are branded as "Their Grace's favorites", and have a high reputation no matter the place and musical customs.

Instrument player's on your team tend to listen closer, trying to learn the notes they hear so they can repeat the melody with their own hands to the public. Xinyan finds that much of her inspiration comes from the guitars heard playing when you play music, as they always have such interesting sounds and riffs.

Whilst the flute isn't an instrument heard daily when melodies come from you, Venti repeats songs both with the Dihua flute and lyre, depending on the type of song he chooses to repeat from you. The drunkards in angel's share always love the slower songs played on the lyre, especially since the songs were first heard by you.

Yun Jin tends to listen more to the lyrics of the melodies. Songs with stories behind them always catch her interest, if it wasn't already on you. Her stories always need rich inspiration, so what's possibly better than well written stories within songs played by none other than yourself?

Guess who’s slowly getting into genshin again and stuck in idol au brainrot

La Signora, Childe and Scaramouche (now known as Kuni a solo artist) were like triple H and had a good 3 year run before they disbanded because of a very bad scandal between childe/Scaramouche and their company sort of going bust

La signora was the main vocal and centre

Childe was the visual and lead vocal

Scaramouche was main rapper and the leader

La Signora is now a popular soloist (think hyo or taeyeon) under the name Rosalyn

Her company is called Harbinger‘co and her manager is Pantalone

Childe is obviously with DCKZ and is hoping to make his first solo album soon working with some other idols (cough Lumine cough)

Now Kuni in my version is a solo artist under a unknown company named Riverbend because he wanted a fresh start

But he obviously got very popular not only because of his past but because of his singing voice because oh boi his voice is just as good as his raps

And yeah his career as a soloist shot up from there and he is also working on a full album

Now Yunjin is another soloist (think kwon eunbi because glitch is definitely one of yunjin’s songs)

She was an opera singer and trained most of her teen years on her voice and dance.

She was in a gg with Barbara and Xinyan for an experiment trying to merge idols from different companies, they were pretty popular but then Xinyan announced she was leaving the group due to personal reasons and the other two got split (Barbara had her growing popularity and yunjin wanted to work on her own projects)

They still keep in touch (they are besties) and rumour has it they may or may not be having a reunion concert soon.

Yunjin likes to mix classical music with her samples and then her manager will bop their head along with the beats.

She really wants to work with Ayaka due to their sounds being so similar but so different at the same time and their concepts are very similar.

They both have a sort of princess vibe and are the pride and joy of their company.

Yunjin is working on a mini album trying to figure out a new but familiar sound for her fans, she’s hoping to collaborate with xinyan for this and also a member of a small trio named Mona who is more of a classic/hyperpop producer.

Mona, Fischl and Kuki are a trio named Amethyst Dreams (probably will change)

They are a mix of hyperpop and rock music with a dash of that girl crush vibe

Mona is their producer she works her ass of for her two friends and their success because they are from a very small company.

She’s also the main vocalist along with the centre/visual she can play the violin

Fischl loves the hyperpop concept the group has along with the little bits of rock they try to add cause of the sort of gothic concept of the group

She’s the lead vocal and the maknae of the group who plays the electric guitar and the sax for some reason (kuki has tried to get her to do a solo for their upcoming album)

Kuki is a punk rock fan, she plays drums and has a killer voice also her raps slap so hard that people have taken to call her the rap goddess (think Youngji)

Like she spits fire and on variety shows she is not afraid to diss the hosts

Main rapper and also centre (her and Mona share the role)

They are coming out with their first full album soon

Nilou is still a sort of trainee but is probably gonna debut with a new group with Layla and Candace maybe faruzan idk

They are called Lotus Paradise or Waves of harmony (probably gonna change)

They are a girl crush sort of group but do experiment with the concepts

Nilou is the lead dancer and centre

Layla is lead vocalist and maknae (I think not sure about that yet)

Candace is lead rapper and leader of the group

They have a very large fanbase fro a group who hasn’t debuted yet due to Nilou/Candace and them being popular in past survival show and gaining fans from that

Their first mini album has like an oasis theme and some of the songs are about their struggles trying to debut hence the theme of oasis

Candace is also a producer but not many know about that

“How did you even score tickets?! Let alone front row ones?!” You tried to loudly talk to Yunjin through the loud crowd. You couldn’t hear what she said, but you saw her giggle, as your face contorts in confusion.

“Don’t worry about it y/n. Today’s my treat, I know how much you love that bassist, I just had to score us spots when they were in town!” She said, with a warm grin on her face. You couldn’t help but smile back and just give her a hug. No words were needed nor enough for you to express your gratitude to have someone like Yunjin be by your side. 

While waiting for the band to enter, you reminisce about the time you met Yunjin.

You finally got out of highschool, now attending that was your first pick in all the ones you applied in, though some of your old friends were lucky enough to be able to get in the quite prestigious school you are in now, they sort of forgot about you after highschool, at least that's what you've always said, after all, they had different dreams, ambitions, and interest compares to you, some of them dreamed of becoming doctors, others wanted to become teachers, and you decided to pursue music, as you never thought of any other career you’d enjoy. Were you going to make lots of money from using your hobby as a full blown career? You didn't know. Were you gonna enjoy doing music professionally? You didn’t know either.

Good thing you had pretty good grades in highschool, so you had a scholarship, a dorm, and a stipend. All the accommodations you acquired made you think that everything in college was gonna be a breeze, until you got one call.

“Hello? Is this y/n l/n?” a woman, who sounded formal, but polite, asked you through the phone. 

You struggled to put your phone in your ear, as you were carrying multiple cups of ramen for your week's worth of dinner, should’ve grabbed a basket before grabbing all of this stuff, you thought.

“Hello? Yes, this is y/n.” You did your best to sound composed, despite struggling with your baggage.

“Good afternoon, I am the school staff in charge of affairs related to scholars. On the school’s behalf, I would like to inform you that from now on you’ll be sharing your dorm room with another student.”

You tried your best to not drop a cup at the quite surprising news you received, you thought the dorm wasn’t gonna be shared, since it is quite late, but you were glad the phone call wasn’t the school kicking you out, or something.

“Hello? I hope you do not mind sharing, we know this is quite abrupt, we did originally plan the room being for you only, but we miscalculated the amount of students occupying the dorms, so we had to transfer this student to yours.”

You didn’t realize that you already spaced out and immediately hurried to reply when you heard the woman's voice again.

“Ah! Of course, I do not mind. But when is the said student transferring to my dorm?”  You said. “We informed her that her transferral will be done ASAP, she might arrive late afternoon tomorrow.”

Well, that was a lie.

You rushed home carrying your eco bag filled with cups of the same ramen you’ve eaten as dinner for a few weeks since you moved into your dorm so you could have more time to clean up your place. You spent the entire night doing your supposed best tidying up your dorm, moving your stuff from the room with a spare bed to your room. You spent most of your time thinking where to put insignificant small trinkets from the spare room to wherever you thought it’d fit that you eventually just passed out on the living room couch.

*knock knock*

Silence.

*knock knock knock* 

SIlence again.

The once gentle knocking turned into continuous frantic banging on the door, and you eventually woke up, scrambling to the door, opening it fast.

You were still groggy even though the banging on your door was loud, but if something were to wake you up, it would be the strong knock you got to your forehead.

“AH! I’m sorry! Are you okay!?” The person knocking hurriedly tried to help your poor self, covering your face, specifically your forehead after the hit you endured.

You moved your hand to see the person who hit you, while still covering your forehead. “Yeah, I’m fine.” You definitely weren't, but you still tried to hide the pain in your voice.

“I’m really sorry! This is quite a bad first impression… All my rehearsals for nothing!” The girl dramatically exclaimed. She was odd to say the least, but you were glad she forgot about your forehead.

“You must be y/n!” She said, holding out her hand, for a handshake, you assumed. “I’m Yunjin, I heard alot about you, but I did not expect… This…” She continued, while looking around in the dorm.

Right, you passed out while cleaning up, and decided to set an alarm early on so you could just finish up the next day.

“Wait, what time is it!?” You rushed to grab your phone back on the couch, leaving Yunjin hanging. As you searched for your phone under the pillows you hear your new roommate comment

“Hey, didn’t mean to sound rude or something back there, your dorm.. Is fine.. It's just a little disorganized, that's it.” She said, trying to justify what she said back in front of the door, while moving her bags to the living room.

“Sorry, I did try to clean up a little bit overnight, but I decided I’ll finish up this morning. '' You explained, while looking at your phone’s clock. 10am, that is most definitely not late afternoon.

“Is that so? Then I too am quite at fault for coming unannounced.” She said while walking to your fridge. “Your forehead looks really red, let’s do something about that.” She grabs the tray of ice in your freezer and puts the cubes in a clean towel she took from the shelf, and approaches your disgruntled figure on the couch, and pats the towel on your reddened forehead. 

She sits beside you and tries her best to be as gentle as she can since she noticed you flinch after every dab of the cold towel hit your skin followed by quiet ‘ouch’s and hisses.

“I never got to properly introduce myself, did I?” you shift your aimless gaze at her, uttering a small ‘yeah’, awaiting her dramatic introduction like the one she did earlier, but it never came.

“My name’s Yunjin, I am a music major, I heard from the dean that you too majored in music? No one I know previously also majored in music, I’m glad I met someone who’d want to pursue the same stuff I do.” She said, in a soft tone you didn’t expect, as you assumed that she’d keep up the arrogant exterior she portrayed earlier.

You and Yunjin continued to talk about random stuff, from songwriting, to movies, and to music bands you two enjoyed, and as you find out that she too enjoy listening to a group with an idol as the main singer, a huge guy with horns adorning his silver playing drums, and a white haired bassist possessing a voice as refreshing as the winds blowing on a calm sunny day, you warmed up to her, despite you still being reserved and quiet, she stayed by your side, even when you two graduated and lived separately, she kept contact with you, and often dropped by your house to cook and drag you out of your house.

Your train of thoughts gets cut when you feel an arm wrap around yours, as your body gets dragged up.

“Y/n! Their performance is starting!”

✦Yan Yunjin Headcanons✦

Ok, I went a little self-indulgent on this one- but we aren't going to reference that anymore-

Tw: self-degradation (I think it's pretty brief), obsessive behaviours, anxiety (not major)

Type: Obsessive + Possessive (But in a different form)

Yunjin. Yunjin is a performer, right? Well she gets obsessed with you once she notices you being at every one of her performances after the first time you saw her. She already puts every minute into perfecting her opera, but ever since you came along- she's doubled what she did before.

Every breath and step she puts into practice is all for you. In hopes of catching your eye once again. She wants to feel your eyes on her and see your little smile at the climax of the show. She feels performing is all a lie if the one she admires most does not enjoy her work.

Usually, she is a carefree, friendly person, but to herself, she is brutal like no other. There's been a few occasions where she cried out of frustration, believing her act wasn't perfect. But even in her tears, she picks herself up to practice for the big day.

"No, the flow wasn't right. I can't show myself like this!"

Every time she sees you there, she's both ecstatic and anxious. She's worried she'll mess up, but when she gets on stage and starts her act, all her worries slowly fade. But that doesn't mean her mind is running on full drive. Every second of the performance, she ensures her every move and look is what she's practiced. Occasionally stealing a glance at your face to see if you're smiling yet.

'I hope that high-note didn't sound horrible- ugh my anxiety is eating me-'

Once she feels you've seen each other enough, she strikes up a conversation with you, stating how she's noticed you watch a lot of her performances. From there, she tries her utmost best to be a good, kind friend; hoping you'll develop an interest in her.

She is the type to not express her darker behaviours in front of you, but behind the scenes, she might give a few passive-aggressive comments to anyone who harbours your attention for too long. She loves your attention and craves it: especially your praise and approval.

I doubt she'll kill anyone- since she's so wholesome. But if anyone dares to hurt you emotionally or physically she is busting out her polearm to go fight.

"I can't believe that brute! I'll show that monster not to mess with them!"

She is very physically affectionate, friends or lovers- I mean she was jump-hugging traveller at some point. I think she's pretty normal in general, other than she gets really swept up with her practices and not wanting to share your attention all that much.

Crack headcanon: If you ever walk in on her putting on her stage make-up she'll try to hide and maybe even push you out the room- especially when she's only got the pure white base on (I'm not kidding- like Chinese Opera performers have WHITE face skin/base). Oh, and she'll never put any form of makeup in front of you ever again.
