Hear me out: Since nightsisters don't have horns, but non-dathomirian female zabraks do have horns, Maul spends all of his life just quietly assuming that all the female zabraks he meets outside of Dathomir are trans. He sees one, he learns her pronouns and he's just like: "Okay, whatever she says. Good for her, but none of my business."

Yes even angry Maul can be found with a very worn and annotated copies. He will deny he likes them. He critiques them! If it’s very late at night he will still be reading them until the lights finally flicker off.

Savage quite enjoys the Hobbit the most and keeps his copy very well preserved saved for some dog eared pages. Some of his favorite parts

Feral might enjoy the return of the king the most, fierce battles, both great and small and the many journeys the characters go through.

headcanon about zabraks: zabrak hair is wiry and strong. It can end up being difficult to style bc it tends to have a mind of its own but there's still a good sized industry for zabrak hair products.

it's also difficult to grow out, partially due to genetics. some zabraks genetically cannot grow hair on their head, some can to varying degrees of fullness, some can grow a full head of hair. those who can grow some hair often find that it grows on some patches of their scalp but not others.

it's up to the individual if they decide to simply shave their scalp or style their hair. some see it as a nuisance, others like putting in the time it takes to care for their hair.

it's also extremely rare to see a zabrak who has long hair, naturally. I'm talking past their mid-back. A zabrak who has hair that long either has really fucking good genes or a really good hair routine or often both. Or extensions! There's a huge section of the zabrak hair industry that focuses on wigs, extensions, and the like.

since we are all in agreement that zabraks are like, cat-lizard-alien people, then they should have an aversion to water (or some kind of chemical) due to their biology, and an affinity for a different chemical, like how cats love wool and sheep because wool is full of lanolin, an oil produced by nursing cats that induces nursing behavior in kittens and adult cats alike.

adult zabraks are reduced to kittens when they smell a certain kind of fabric/a certain alien species that naturally produces lanolin/its space equivalent. because in a galaxy that large, it has to be possible. even funnier if iridonia is home to a second native alien species that evolved to produce space-lanolin so ancient zabraks didn’t eat them.

•Zabraks•

They purr like cats when they’re happy, or excited about something.

They have a heat cycle. During heat cycles, the males get very aggressive, and will be very overprotective of their mate.

Their horns are very sensitive, but the base of their horns is the most sensitive. By sensitive I mean, it turns them on when you touch them. (I suggest you don’t touch their horns while they’re in heat….Let’s just say, It may not turn out good for you..I’m talking not being able to walk for a few weeks)

This may sound really weird to some, but the way the brothers sleep, is in a cuddle pile. They’ve always slept like that.

Savage Opress sounds like a tiger when he roars, Darth Maul sounds like a lion when he roars, and Feral Opress sounds like a Jaguar when he roars.

Maul’s purrs are very violent, and it sometimes sounds like he’s growling, But nope, it’s just a purr.

I’ll update this whenever I have more headcanons!

Zabraks and Biting

Maybe it was instinct, maybe something left over after years and years. Even still it was not uncommon that Zabrak significant other would be littered with bites. 

Slightly sharper teeth that leave indents upon flesh. Should the bite be a bit too deep there is gentle care to tend to the bite, however a bit of pride that the mark will be there for some time. 

Often upon thier love’s neck, shoulder....at times some others with bites all about them.

Iridonian zabrak headcanons (maul’s ancestor species):

#1: iridonian zabraks are actually herbivores, contrary to the stereotype that they are vicious hunters.

#2: They have a lot of energy and still sometimes wrestle it out (especially with horns). Both men and women have this tendency, but it’s just a tendency.

#3: There is a stereotype among the Jedi that they are more dark leaning (canon), but this is false and due to a common and pervasive misunderstanding of what the dark side is. (AKA the slippery slope that being energetic and not patient and slow is a ticket to the darkside).

#4: Eeth Koth and Agen Kolar have copped a lot of shit because of it, but they have risen in the ranks nonetheless.

#5: Eeth leans more heavily into the ‘patient and calm’ stereotype as a nervous defense against any accusations, and Agen is a tad too aggressive on the field and feels guilty about it. To compensate he is a rules lawyer for the Jedi to prove to everyone he is devoted.
