2023 reading list: Green Arrow: The Sound of Violence (2023)
"I was just listening to my favorite sound in the whole world." "Which is?" "Y'know. The sound of family."
(ID under the cut.)
ID: Four animated gifs and two still edited panels from Green Arrow (2001).
1: Connor Hawke and Oliver Queen, both in their respective Green Arrow costumes with quivers and bows at the ready, stand in front of the Star City skyline. The city is cast in faint greens and blues.
2: Mia Dearden approaches Oliver on a rooftop, where he sits with his legs hanging over the edge. A narration bubble reads, "I don't know what I'd do if I lost you, kiddo." Mia slowly fades away to reveal empty sky.
3: Oliver, heavily desaturated and cast in shadow, in front of a blue background. About half of his face is visible. White text reads, "If he dies, so do you." The text is repeated at decreasing opacity across the background.
4: Onomatopoeia, a villain with a black mask and a blue design resembling a bullseye, stands in front of a purple sky. He says, "Blam." Then he fires his gun, lighting everything in bright whites and yellows as a sound effect reads "Blam!" to mimic his speech. As his gun smokes and the light fades, he says, "Onomatopoeia."
5: Dinah Lance, dressed as Black Canary, hugs Oliver from behind. The background is faded images of Oliver fighting people. Narration scrolls over the image. "Now I just..." / "...want..." / "Blood." The "Blood" bubble then shifts to be white text on a dark red background.
6: Onomatopoeia, silhouetted in blue, falls from a great height into a replica of his own mask. He slowly disappears into the black.
/End ID.

Do you think Belos is not as complex as his fans makes him out to be?
I don’t think it’s a case of more or less complex, it’s that a lot of Belos stans mischaracterize him to the point they make him a different character. The stans ironically completely erase what makes Belos, Belos.
The “Belos” a lot of Belos stans present is the guise he wears to manipulate others and himself, hiding his actual character and nature beneath.
Belos is one of my favorite villains, because he manages to be a truly reprehensible villain with no redemption in sight, while also having a lot of layers to his psychology. He’s a villain whose thought process/general psychology I find fascinating to think about, as I think it’s quite well-written and reflective of people like him in real life.
There’s this perception that in order to be interesting, a villain has to be sympathetic or redeemable in some capacity.
It’s popular to give villains sympathetic motives or backstory, and even redeem them, to avoid the simplistic “I’m doing evil things because I’m evil” type.
And this type of villain can absolutely work, it’s just not necessary for every story, or for a good villain. You can have a complex, layered villain whose psychology is fascinating to think about, without them actually being sympathetic in any way.
Belos doesn’t think “I’m doing evil things because I’m evil.” He justifies himself with a twisted line of thought built around his own selfishness, insecurities, immaturity, and possessiveness, as well as the Puritan ideology he embraced.
A big part of his character is that he warps reality in his own mind to suit his needs. That’s why his mindscape is literally layered, with the beautiful, heroic paintings at the start hiding the true, ugly memories. He isn’t just lying to other people; he’s lying to himself. He’s so caught up in his own delusions and persecution complex, he’s lost sight of reality and starts to be confused by his own lies, built into the very structure of his mind.
The show makes it clear how his view of the world, that he is an oppressed victim, is delusion. It shows Caleb embracing his brother warmly in the Boiling Isles, despite the aggression he displays. It shows people were friendly and trusting during the time period he arrived, and only lashed out at him once he began to kill and oppress, like the demons avenging their brother Blue Fang. His fake child disguise used to manipulate Luz is shed to reveal the true sinister man underneath as his real inner self.
His misery is of his own making. He killed Caleb, he refused to change. Even after four hundred years, he refuses to do anything but whine about what witches and demons took from him, despite the fact he was always the aggressor.
Belos’s story is the story of a man driven by an extreme selfishness, a desire for coddling and protection, to have everything revolve around him and his needs, at the same time as he claims to want to purge the sins of others for being selfish and evil. A man who is so caught up in his layers of lies and manipulation, he himself loses sight of what he believes, and eventually descends into crawling, whining slime. It’s a pathetic end that is his own fault.
But Belos stans want to ignore the story being told in favor of believing the simple narrative he presents at face value - that he was a mistreated kid whose brother abandoned him to cruelty and persecution on the Boiling Isles. They take the story to be a simple “tragic orphan was wronged and now he’s bitter” instead of an exploration of the psychology of this kind of truly reprehensible human being, who absolutely does exist.
The thing they portray is fine for a character story, but it’s not Belos. It’s so blatantly missing the entire point of his character, that they might as well just create an oc.
We have to shed this idea that a complex villain means a sympathetic one. You can have a rich, layered character who has basically always been a piece of shit, and remains so. Sometimes those are the best villains out there, depending on the themes of the story.
So no, Belos isn’t less complex than they make him out to be. He’s just a different character entirely.

I know that we’ve moved past this discourse but in my re-watch of Phases 1- 3 for Falcon and Winter Soldier I have a lot of thoughts on Age of Ultron and Civil War. In case you can’t tell by the large large portion of anti-Tony posts I reblogged over the past few days, I really dislike Tony Stark (which is it’s own post that I will get into at a later date) and a lot of it comes from his actions in the Age of Ultron and Civil War movies (for all my Glee fans who follow me who are unfamiliar this man is the Rachel Berry/Lea Michele of Marvel). I am full prepared to get hate for this as this is going to be disproving everyone’s favorite arms dealer that they like woobify for absolutely no reason. Also warning this is kind of a lengthy read
One of the first things we learn about Tony, in the first Iron Man movies is that he owns Stark industries which is known as a weapons manufacture for the US government. And while in the first movie he is confronted with the repercussions of this business, he only cares when its at the expense of American/his own life. So he decides to end his contract and he takes on the Iron Man mantle, which is a great starting arc for him (which shits the best the next three movies because he doesn’t actually learn anything). In Age of Ultron that is the first time he is experiencing the wrath of a country ravaged by his weapons. In Iron Man when he gets captured, he is traveling with Americans and on American military base and when he is captured it is by an fringe group that wants weapons, so even though he recognizes the his weapons have bad results, he still has no idea the impact it has on civilians who live in those countries. Enter Sokovia.
The Sokovians all hate Tony Stark and the rest of the avengers from what we can see. This is a country who has been victim of bombings by the United States air force for years, and as a result are living in a war torn society with limited resources and massive amounts of damage. The two most notable characters that we meet from Sokovia are Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, two teens who as children watched their parents and apartment building get blown up by a Stark bomb, which also trapped them. When we meet them in AOU we learn that they are working for Hydra and harbor deep intense hatred towards Tony Stark and they want to him to suffer like he has cause their suffering. Now before we move on lets clarify some misconceptions, the Maximoff’s believe they are joining SHIELD and not Hydra, this was at the time when SHIELD was massively inundated with people working for Hydra and as a result these kids were mislead into joining an organization they thought would protect their country. Note number 2, when Wanda and Pietro watch their parents get blown up Stark is still making bombs so the “Tony stopped building bombs” defense doesn’t really work here as it takes prior to the events of Iron Man 1.
So let’s talk about the Maximoff’s and Tony, a lot of Tony stans out there think that Wanda and Pietro were entirely unjustified in their hatred of Stark and believe that they(mainly Wanda) should be more at fault for the events surrounding Ultron, but there are several issues with that. One being that Pietro and Wanda are radicalized teens who believed they were joining an organization to help their country and have spent years orphaned and surviving on their own. Even though Tony didn’t directly bomb the country, he still made the bombs that they watched kill their parents, and the one that they saw laying in front of them trapping them in the rubble for days. This hatred for Tony, the Avengers, and the US, isn’t coming from no-where. These teens are victims of a larger issue that the US has that Tony helped foster, and sure while it might be slightly misplaced because Tony didn’t bomb them, if you saw that the man whose name was on a bomb that killed your parents, being treated like a hero in another, you’d be pretty pissed off (not to mention Tony misplaces he’s anger on Bucky when Hydra brainwashed him, more on that later). The second issue is that Tony and Bruce have started working on Ultron prior to the events of the movie, the only thing that comes out of the movie is the actual creation of the being with the scepter, so the creation of Ultron has nothing to do with Pietro or Wanda, all of that falls on Tony. Now I’m not saying the twins don’t do anything bad in the movie, they do, Wanda going into the Avengers minds is bad, working with Ultron is bad. However this is not a black and white situation and they believe that they are doing what is best for them and their country and the second they realize that Ultron is in fact the bad guy, they immediately switch sides to help out the Avengers. If the twins were truly bad people, they would have continued working with Ultron where they were promised a safe haven and a perfect life, something neither of them have experienced, but they don’t they not only help the Avengers but both of them are willing to sacrifice themselves as a result. Pietro does actually die trying to save Clint and Wanda almost dies before Vision comes and saves her. These teens are not not bad people with an ulterior motive, but trying to right a situation where they have been wronged.
So then we move onto Civil War, where things continue to get worse in regards to my feelings surrounding Tony. Before we jump into that we are going to address the issue of Wanda apologizing to Tony, the only thing Wanda would have to apologize to Tony for would be the mind invasion thing, that’s about it. Tony on the other hand has several instances where he should be apologizing to Wanda at a minimum and honestly he should probably apologize for his involvement about 95% of the time. Not to mention why harp on Wanda for not apologizing when we have no proof that she didn’t, I mean she’s living at the Avengers complex and Tony honestly seems to be the only one who has an issue with her so...
Now we are moving onto the much bigger issue, the accords. Tony only starts to believe in some kind of oversight when a woman confronts him about Sokovia and how her son died there and then Tony starts to recognize that “hmm maybe we should have someone keeping an eye on us”, not in the first three Iron Man movies when he cost people lives, or in the battle of NY, or hell even in Age of Ultron as he watched a country fall, the dude felt nothing. Now what’s worse in my opinion is that, it takes an American born citizen dying for Tony to even care. If Tony genuinely cared about what happened over there we would have seen it much sooner because he is living with someone who has lost three members of her family to decisions he made. But Tony doesn’t care because Wanda is not an American citizen. Not to mention rather then recognize his part in Ultron’s attack (as the primary created of their device) he pushes all their responsibilities to the Avengers as a whole which significantly eases his burden.
He gives the Avengers three days notice before the Accords need to be signed and that's a huge issue, anytime you are signing a legal document, particularly from the government, you want to check that thing and make sure you are not being taken advantage of in some kind of way. Tony knows this as a business man who worked with the government for years. It also makes sense that a lot of the Avengers would take issue with the accords. Tony is a rich white billionaire who is least impacted by what the accords want to implement, because his powers come from the suit he is subject to less harsh oversight then most of the others, so it’s no wonder why he thinks its a good idea. This is why he struggles when people try to explain to him otherwise, Tony has a rich billion are who has never had to work a day in his life is not going to understand the concerns of some one like Steve or Wanda or subjected to much more strict and harsh conditions. Not to mention, he has access to the best lawyers in the country and it is stated by Maria Hill in Marvel canon that no one in the government could touch Tony even if they wanted to because he holds that much power.
The interesting thing that comes out of this is how so many people hate Team Cap, team Cap never once said that they did not want their to be oversight and repercussions for their actions, they however wanted things to be fixed so that people were not signing their rights away and having them violated. Team Cap didn’t think that they should be able to run around doing whatever they want, they just want more clear terms. You do also realize that Peter is like Wanda and Steve and would have also been sent to the Raft or something like that because he is an enhanced individual. And it makes sense that Team Cap thinks this way because several of them are held to more strict standards as they have enhancements and the others have seen first hand the bad things that the government can do. And the funny thing is Team Cap gets proven right several times throughout the movie, we see when many of them are being held in the raft in inhumane conditions and are having their rights violated, we see this when several members switch sides or at a minimum end up recognizing that things were worse then they realized. The only person who starts pro accords and stays that way is Stark because he continues to be the only one not affected by them. Not to mention we see him continue to break them several times throughout the movie.
The other major issue with Tony in this movie is the way he treats Bucky and Steve. Now Steve and Tony have never liked each other and Tony has belittled Steve and his trauma from pretty much the first movie, now Bucky is a new character and we learn that he is responsible for the death of Tony’s parents as we was being used as a sleeper agent for Hydra who brainwashed him and turned him into a super soldier. Tony has every right to not handle learning that shit about his parents, but attempted murder and not being able to recognize external forces is a much larger issue. Tony Stans this is a personal call out for you, if you think that Tony is completely justified in trying to kill Bucky and Steve because Steve didn’t tell him about Bucky and Bucky was brainwashed, then that means the Maximoff’s and their anger towards Tony is justified equally, keep that energy the same babes.
These two movies show the biggest issue surrounding Tony which is his inability to take responsibility for his own actions. Tony has so so many flaws that get highlighted constantly that we just kind of glaze over because the fandom is in love with him for whatever reason. But one of his worst is that he doesn’t recognize when he is wrong and as a result of this, his fans put the blame on others unfairly as a result. In Ultron Tony takes absolutely no accountability for the inception and creation of Ultron so his stans don’t either and put it on Wanda who had nothing to do with it, they completely mischaracterize everyone on Team Cap in Civil War because Tony talks about them being the bad guys (also his reaction in the Raft is disgusting), so they truly believe that Team Cap are the bad guys (like seriously y’all do you know how hard it is to find a good team cap fic, like if someone could please point me in the direction of some that would be great). In doing so they also grossly mischaracterize Tony, Tony would never be a kind-hearted sit down and talk things out and baby Peter, outside of the fact that he hates kids. We are shown several times that he shows absolutely no empathy towards them, I mean he belittles Peter constantly and calls Harlan a pussy in Iron Man 3. Not to mention this man is a billionaire who also used to work for the government and is so out of touch with reality that he would never be understanding about issues that a lot of the team has. In fact the way that Tony stans characterize Tony, is much more inline with how Steve would act. I’m not saying don’t like problematic characters, I love me a good morally gray problematic character, however the woobifying of Tony and gross mischaracterizations of literally any character that disagrees with him is in fact toxic and a huge issue of stan culture. Not to mention some of y’all are like really mean to people who are anti-Tony, like aggressively so.
Anyway those are my thoughts on Civil War and Age of Ultron, if you see a post come out very soon about the parallels between Tony and Wanda, but how Wanda is in fact the better person/character, don’t be surprised. I’m currently hype fixating on Marvel and I have decided to make this everyone’s issue, if you follow me for other things I’m sorry.

Captain America: Civil War - My Thoughts
I know this is like 5 years late but for this, I’d like to resurrect a barely dead discourse that succeeded in not just dividing the Avengers but also dividing the fandom. Before we start, content warning for spoilers and let’s dive into this mess.
So, basically, the entire conflict of civil war stemmed from General Thaddeus Ross (who is a hypocritical dick, btw) coming to lecture the Avengers on being destructive despite conducting destructive experiments (ahem, the Abomination and the Hulk) but I digress. Then, Ross presents the Sokovian Accords which is really lengthy and we see Steve reading like a few chapters(?). Now, let us note that the Accords were presented to the Avengers after a mission-gone-wrong killed about 11 people in Lagos (lay-gos, not lah-gos that pronunciation gave me headaches as a Nigerian).
So, the Sokovian Accords were written by 117 countries and vetted by the UN asking for the Avengers to be under oversight (which SHIELD would have done if HYDRA hadn’t infiltrated it in the first place but it is what it is). Somehow, Steve made it about “our right to choose” (how?! Cause I’m not understanding) and decided to not sign*.
*he later got back to sign, then backed out when he learnt that Tony had placed Wanda under house arrest (even though it was for her protection. I do believe Tony should have fully informed Wanda about keeping her in the Avengers’ Tower)
My issues with the plot of Civil War are:
1. The Sokovian Accords were not read out loud or placed on some kind of PowerPoint slide for the audience to understand why Team Cap is against the Accords. No, the fandom wiki is not a source because that one is from Agents of SHIELD and not a lot of MCU fans are familiar with that show (yours sincerely included). Assuming the contents were read out loud or discussed by the Avengers, I’d have understood why Team Cap refused to sign the accords but since none of that was given, I’d remain Team Iron Man for this one.
2. The Sokovian Accords is not the American Constitution. Then again, the MCU fandom tends to be American-centric and most Americans seem to have this belief that the world revolves around them (and it manifests itself in Civil War discourse).
3. Contrary to popular opinion, the Sokovian Accords were about 117 (mostly third-world) countries asserting their sovereignty and boundaries, not taking away rights from the Avengers. If we go by what the MCU wiki claims about the accords, yes, some parts are absurd (like asking for blood samples and using trackers, why are those necessary?). However, when 117 countries state that they want you to respect their boundaries, I think it is best to comply. Unfortunately, respecting boundaries is one thing the USA has a problem complying with and guess who happens to represent America?
4. The Accords affected only their hero lives, not their lives as a civilian. I doubt the UN would limit the Avengers’ movements as civilians
5. Let us not forget how Steve and Clint protect Wanda from accountability and responsibility. Wanda in the MCU is like y/n in many fanfics where everyone (except for the “big bad villain” who in this case is Tony and 117 countries) seems to love her and want to protect her from facing the consequences of her actions. Anyone *ahem Tony* who has a bit of problem with her is suddenly the enemy. Not to mention how Wanda seems to have a knack for causing destruction in African countries (Johannesburg, Lagos, Wakanda)
6. And fandom behaviour from the Team Cap stans
7. Also, why is Civil War not an Avengers part 3? It’s better than making it a Captain America trilogy and then trying to frame Steve as being right.
8. I do believe that the accords were sped up which left little time for the Avengers to discuss and compromise on certain issues. If they were given more time to discuss, compromise and negotiate, I think the movie would have ended better than it had.
9. In addition, I also agree with Team Cap stans on how the UN arbitrarily deciding to shoot Bucky on sight is a human right violation.
10. “The safest hands are our own” why does this sound like a white saviour talk point from Steve? The accords is about 117 countries wanting you to respect their boundaries and the best you can come up with to refute that is saying something a white saviour would say?
11. “Even if the whole world is telling you to move...” just shut the fuck up, this is no way comparable to 117 countries trying to assert their sovereignty.
12. Look if I have to choose between surrendering a few rights as a hero and just dismissing that of civilians as potential damage, I’d go with the former because the people whom I’m suppose to protect come first. For me to dismiss their deaths as “we can’t save em all” is just not it.
13. “She’s just a kid”, a few years later and I still hate that term. One, it’s infantilizing an adult white woman (something white men have historically done and we all know how that went) . Two, while Tony was obviously wrong for not informing Wanda about her house arrest, he was right to keep her in the Tower when they were people who would harm her with every chance they could find. **
** after watching WandaVision, some people might find every reason to want to harm her.
14. Let us also discuss the motivation of those in Team Iron Man vs Team Cap
Team Iron Man
Tony: feels guilty for the events of Age of Ultron, believes that he’s stepped out of line and the Avengers need oversight.
Natasha: believes that the Avengers should listen to the public and the UN after all, if they had one hand on the wheel, they can still steer.
Vision: believes that the Avengers as a whole bring challenge which brings conflict and then catastrophe.
Rhodey: a soldier; believes in following orders especially when it is from the UN and 117 countries.
T’Challa: dude is just there to kill Bucky. I’m sure if Bucky was on team Ironman, my guy would have joined team cap, lmao 😂.
Spider-Man: not really there for a reason except to bring in Steve to Ross. I do agree that Tony shouldn’t have dragged him to the fight without Peter making an informed decision.
Team Cap
Steve: didn’t want to sign because it takes away his “right to choose”. Idk what that means or how it is relevant to the Sokovian Accords but okay. However, I understand his mistrust considering a few movies ago, we found out HYDRA had infiltrated SHIELD and as much as I believe governments are corrupt and the UN is shit, you cannot just enter a country anyhow without warning ahead of time.
Bucky: was his motivation given? I mean, I believe he joined Steve’s side to stop Zeno from unleashing the other winter soldiers. Not that that’s a bad reason, it isn’t.
Sam: again, I don’t think the movie gave us a reason for him being against the Accords. Did he also believe it was taking away his “right to choose”?
Wanda: undecided as of moment of discussion. Joined team cap because Tony placed her on house arrest. While I agree that Tony should have informed her that he was putting her under house arrest and stated the reasons why, I believe it was for good reasons especially when some people might decide to carry out witch hunts (you get it, witch hunts? 😅)
Clint: only joined because Wanda was placed under house arrest. We aren’t given any reason why he would oppose the Accords.
Scott: fan boy of Captain America, need I say more?
15. Also, to Team Cap stans blaming Tony Stark for Team Cap being imprisoned, grow the fuck up. The people in Team Cap are all adults who made their own decisions yet Tony is to blame for them breaking the law (because they did break the law), wtf.
16. “Are you capable of letting go of your ego for one damn second?” Like Steve’s ego didn’t play a part in all this too, lmao.
17. Okay, the final battle was intense and while I believe Bucky was also a victim, I can understand why Tony lashed out at him. The one to blame here is Steve because even if he had no clue Bucky was responsible for the Starks’ death, he still lied to Tony by not telling him who was responsible. It is more appalling to learn that Steve, in an attempt to “protect Tony and Bucky”, was actually covering for HYDRA!
Also, the way Steve stood emotionless while Tony watched a footage of his parents being killed. Yet, he could shield Wanda from watching the news because of how it affected her, okay.
“I can do this all day”, fuck you, Steve
18. Clint exploding at Tony is so fucking hilarious. Tony is right, Clint has a family yet he decided to fight in a war that didn’t concern him. Also, his comments about breaking backs is so tone deaf after Rhodey just broke his back!
19. If Sam was Captain America, I think Civil War wouldn’t have happened at all, from the dialogue in the Raft.
20. Overall, this movie is a fucking mess and I hate it for dividing both the Avengers and MCU fans.
Before I close with this, I want to add that I am not anti-Steve but Civil War really made me hate him. I get, Steve is supposed to be a Boy Scout and shit like that, but he’s a Gary Stu in the MCU, let’s be honest about it. Civil War should have been an Avengers movie, rather than a part of the Captain America trilogy. The Avengers should have been given more time than three days to discuss the Accords and make necessary amendments; after all that went down in Lagos, Wanda should have been made to sit out missions and maybe we could have had someone like Doctor Strange help in training her; Crossbones would have made a great villain but it is what it is; Peter’s introduction to the MCU could have been as him actually interning for the Stark Industries and forming a kind of acquaintance with Tony Stark before Tony finds out that he’s Spider-Man; Steve should have told Tony about HYDRA‘s hands in his parents’ deaths. Anyway, I’ll go read Civil War fix-it fanfics and fanfics where the Avengers are more like family. Fuck Civil War and I’m outta here.
Edit: okay this was a thought I had when I was trying to sleep but it was too good to ignore. Rhodey has a point about Steve arrogance (if that’s the correct term) in saying “the safest hands are our own” and here’s why:
Like he stated “this is not the World Security Council...neither is this SHIELD nor HYDRA” (paraphrased). This is the UN as well as 117 countries. Look, I am as anti-government as one can go and I don’t believe that the UN are reliable (plus, if we really want to go by the AoS version of the Accords, the Accords are flawed and they need amendments), however, given the US records on disrespecting boundaries in many third world countries, I can understand why 117 countries are wary about a bunch of superpowered Americans entering their country.
To us, the Avengers are saving the world. To these 117 countries and the people who have families who were killed in the crossfire (Zemo is a good example), the Avengers are a bunch of nuisances who leave destruction wherever they tread.
I am still neutral on the whole Accords as I don’t know exactly what it entails but for Steve to go “we are surrendering our rights to choose” (again, how is the Accords threatening the Avengers’ right to choose?) when asked to be under oversight is tone deaf.

LOKI EPISODE FOUR : THE NEXUS EVENT
Tumblr media
GIF CREDIT TO: @luke-skywalker SPOILERS AHEAD. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
SYLVIE | there's a lot to process in the short time we get of young sylvie. it didn't seem like she was doing anything that caused a nexus event. when we see her, she's simply playing with her toys on asgard. sylvie asks about what her crime was later on with renslayer but it's never clear cut as to what she did. the only thing we know is that she escaped from renslayer which is why she's so hell bent on capturing and pruning sylvie. i have a certain thought on this later.
WE SURVIVE | the words loki tells sylvie just when she’s given up and accepted that she’ll die on lamentis. that’s what makes loki a loki - yes, he fails over and over again but each and every time we’ve witnessed his ‘death’ he comes back or when things seem to possibly end for his story, loki still manages to survive.
LAMENTIS | based on the namesake of the episode, this is the nexus event that caused them to be found but what was it? personally, from watching the episode and keeping in mind that this is 2012!loki, i think that the nexus event was hope and acceptance between them. i think there’s genuine hope despite being stuck on a doomed planet about to become smaller flying rocks in space. in every apocalypse so far, we’ve seen that basically anticipating and accepting the end of the world doesn’t cause a breach in the timeline because what is there to hope for? it’s all going to be destroyed anyway no matter the little fake hope you have inside yourself telling you that everything is going to be alright. loki and sylvie up to this point haven’t had that kind of hope before ever in their lives. with the acceptance part, i think it's self-acceptance and acceptance of their roles in the universe. roll with me here, loki throughout the mcu has never accepted his fate or what's supposed to happen; he's always fighting it and trying to come out on top as a ruler of people whether it's earth, asgard and sakaar. he doesn't accept to not be a ruler or on the losing side of a battle against earth's mightiest heroes and at odds with the other marvel characters. he doesn't fully accept himself either because he didn't know he was adopted until at least one thousand years later and he couldn't accept that he wasn't destined for something other than a shadow or simply his title as the god of mischief. it made a lot more sense in my head tbh. a lot of people freaking out about this moment being loki falling in love with sylvie/himself but i don't think that's it. loki for once genuinely cares about someone else and i think it's platonic cause while i have little faith in the mouse house giving us more than confirmation that loki is bisexual, i don't think they'd make loki fall in love with himself.
LOKI'S TIME CELL | a nostalgic reveal we get is sif in this looped time cell plucked from loki's memory. apparently, he cut off a chunk of her hair because he thought it would be funny. in typical sif fashion, she proceeds to beat him up in retaliation as well of sharing some biting words. it's interesting how after a few loops and knees to the nuts, loki apologizes to sif about the prank and admits that he's afraid of being alone and acts narcissistic and like a pompous asshole if you will because of this fear. i think this is a bigger break through of his character than the one we saw in the first episode because he's admitting it to someone from his life that he highly respected but acted like a child to her to get her attention even if it was negative. i wish for more vulnerable loki moments because it continues to prove that loki isn't just the god of mischief, he can be more (as thor said in ragnarok).
MOBIUS VS LOKI | honestly, this whole interrogation scene screamed mobius being jealous of loki making pals with sylvie and i loved it. what i like is that mobius does air the sentiment that we all have in our heads after realizing that loki and sylvie did somehow click to create the nexus event. it's narcissism to the max. again, i think loki truly cares for sylvie in a platonic or even a familial sense since they both don't make connections too often with others (romantic or platonic).
HUNTER B-15 | i was wondering what happened with her after her run in with sylvie at the roxxcart supermarket. clearly, sylvie unlocked a memory within her subconscious as well and is starting to doubt herself. we don't see what memory of hers it was but it's enough to make her break protocol and go against the TVA later on in the episode. in conclusion, we have no choice but to stan this queen. also seems like she wasn't reset in that final battle so we'll hopefully see her in the next episode.
RAVONNA & MOBIUS | their friendship is put to the test in this episode. while being of a higher position than mobius, ravonna does seem to care deeply for mobius. she said so herself, she wants to protect mobius...but from the truth instead of the false danger about sylvie that she's filling his head with. ravonna clearly knows a lot more than she's letting on and that the TVA is an elaborate lie. i think she wants to protect mobius from the truth because she doesn't seem to have other close friendships like the one with him. it's also clear she cares for him when he's pruned (supposedly!) by another hunter. also, there's this other analyst/field agent mobius always brings up when we see them in her office so i wonder if it's someone who also knows about the grand lie the TVA is or is even some alternate variant of kang the conqueror who we know is supposed to be introduced in the third ant-man movie. it'd be interesting to see if kang is teased one way or another in the final two episodes.
DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU DESERVE TO BE ALONE? | the question mobius poses to loki when he starts to believe that they may be telling the truth. it's an interesting question to pose because we've been hearing it and have seen it throughout the mcu with loki. the time loop loki's stuck in, sif tells him that he'll always be alone. throughout the mcu, loki has been alone in his plans and mischief despite being surrounded by his family, his future enemies, and his people. loki has known nothing but being on his own, being his own island of chaos. as sylvie put it earlier, they're a product of the universe trying to break free, chaos. mobius knows that this nexus event has something to do with the two of them, for once, accepting that they're not alone or that they're not just a cosmic mistake, there's hope for them to be whatever they want and not just confined to their mischievous roles.
RAVONNA & SYLVIE | in the elevator, sylvie confronts ravonna about her crime as a child. it's something everyone wants to know, what does a young loki have to do to be charged and reset by the TVA? ravonna seems to know that this something she can leverage and torture sylvie with so she claims to not remember. sylvie says that it must've been important and severe enough to mess up the sacred timeline. maybe she wasn't supposed to know that she was adopted until later in her life like our loki. she's supposed to be causing trouble and be this terrible villain but what if with sylvie knowing her true parentage at such an early age, she learned to accept herself/identity and made peace with it. that's another thing that could've caused the nexus event between the two, they had found self-acceptance even at just the brink of death. maybe they're supposed to do so but later in their lives in their own timelines so that's why it's enough to destroy the TVA as mobius hinted at earlier. happy that sylvie decided to keep ravonna for information so i expect the next episode to have them in ravonna's office or still in the timekeeper chambers as ravonna tells us what is going on.
THE TIMEKEEPERS | when sylvie beheads the central timekeeper, we learn that they're mindless androids. it never ends, there's no throne to sit upon after killing them so it seems. it was all just a giant hoax but this further feeds into my personal theory that kang, one way or another, is behind all of this. what i find really interesting is how the other two timekeepers laugh when sylvie beheads one. whoever is behind controlling the fake androids, they have a way to see what is happening and communicate in real time with the TVA agents and variants. hopefully in the final two episodes we see what the hell is going on and how the TVA came to be and why.
LOKI POST CREDIT SCENE | so apparently, loki isn't reset or something of the sorts. he's actually sent to another world. i believe this is an alternate new york where we'll see president loki as you can see the remains of the old avengers tower. this makes me think about mobius' fate to be similar to loki's; possibly sent to either the same place or a similar world. we see three human new lokis here. from the credits, we have classic loki (richard e. grant), kid loki (jack veal), and boastful loki (deobia oparei). apparently there's also a crocodile!loki and i'm here for it. can't wait to see how our favorite variant gets out of it next week!
oh god, this was so rusty and unorganized but hope if whoever reads this can somewhat understand the points i'm trying to get across.

Make Her Mine - Chapter Two
Tony Stark x Reader Warnings: Dark!Tony, mostly just mild swearing and stalker behavior here.
A/N:- Also re-editing this chapter from original female character to reader.
Word count: 2000 approx.
Letting yourself into your room, you locked the door behind you before heading towards the bedroom.  Sitting on the bed, your accountant's brain began to work through your survival plan for the next seven days.  You knew a week wasn't a long time, but since credit cards could be tracked, you knew that cash was the only safe way to stay under the radar and you were now woefully low on that.  You also figured your sister might be the first port of call for tracking you down, so that left your best friend.
Calling Sabrina, you gave her a very brief account of your predicament and that if she was willing to help, she really only had until about four o'clock to get what was needed from your apartment.  Being better to you than your own sister, you told her where to find your getaway bag and also asked for some basic workout gear, figuring you didn't need anything fancy to outrun an Avenger.  Then you told her where to find you and the name you were using before hanging up to wait for her arrival.
One hour later, a text message told you she was outside your room, and upon opening the door you checked to make sure no one else was there before you pulled her inside and locked the door again.
Dropping your bags, she pulled you in for a warm hug before stepping back to give you the once over.  "Angel, what exactly is going on and why do you look like crap?" she asked, taking your hand and leading you to the nearest couch.
Sighing heavily as you sat down, you stared at your hands before speaking.  "Do you remember the reservation I had Monday night for La Scala?"
"Is that the Italian place you've been going on about for the last three months?"
"Yes.  Well it turns out that when they were switching over reservation books, they lost my booking and the best they could offer me was a seat at the bar until a table became available.  Obviously I was fine with that, until I drew the attention of Tony Stark and had to turn down his offer to join him."
"Wait, are you telling me you said no to THE Tony Stark?  The same Tony Stark who probably doesn't even know the meaning of that word."
"Exactly, and whether or not he knows the meaning of it, he definitely doesn't like hearing it.  Apparently he's had Happy Hogan trying to find me since then, which was made kinda redundant when my boss sent me to deliver reports to one of his meetings this morning."
"Well damn, Y/F/N, that must have been some shock.  What happened, if you don't mind me asking?"
"No, it's fine.  I mean you have a right to know, since I may or may not have put you in harm's way."
"You what now?"
"Look, I think it's safe to say that Tony Stark is not the hero he appears to be and I think I may have pissed him off a lot more than I should have."
"Y/F/N, what did you do?"
"I barely gave him any information when he questioned me before the meeting, and when he had me threatened and brought to his office afterwards, I said I'd report him to Human Resources."
"Wow, you never do things by half, do you?  But that doesn't explain why you're hiding out here or why you think I might be in danger?"
Refusing to look at your best friend, you took some deep breaths before continuing.  "Well because when a meeting with Steve Rogers interrupted us, he told me to go back to work and then wait for Happy to drive me to his place afterwards.  Obviously I didn't do that and I don't know if he's willing to let this go.  If not, I don't know who he's willing to hurt to get to me."
"Fuck Y/F/N, all this because his ego couldn't handle the word no."
"I know right.  I'm so sorry for putting you in the middle of all this, but I didn't know who else to trust.  I love my sister, but you and I both know she'd sell me out in a heartbeat."
Wrapping her arms around you once more, Sabrina held you tight as she thought through the situation.  "You know Y/F/N, this situation might not be as dire as you think.  Considering who my husband is, do we really believe that Tony Stark is willing to go up against New York's mob boss just to get to you?"
"I don't know, Sab, and that's the worst part.  I don't know what he's capable of.  I mean Happy threatened to have me arrested for stealing money from the company if I didn't go to his office.  You really think Sebastian can protect you?"
"Oh Angel, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt Seb won't let anything bad happen to me.  But what about you?  Should we see what he can do for you?"
"No Sabrina, you've done more than enough.  Hopefully I'm just overreacting and this will all blow over.  If not, then I have my getaway bag and more than enough cash to start over.  Your husband would be proud of me." you finish with a chuckle, hoping to ease the tension lines you could see appearing on her forehead.
The next hour was spent with a bottle of wine and some girly chit-chat until Sebastian texted Sabrina to let her know he was in the lobby.  Giving your best friend a smile and a hug, you said goodbye and decided to head for a relaxing bath, not knowing the shitstorm that was about to kick off at Stark Industries.
*************
No pun intended, but upon arriving at your desk ten minutes before clocking off time, Happy was not a happy camper.  After finding your desk empty, he made enquiries from Melinda who informed him that you weren't feeling well and had gone home early.  Deciding that it was best not to upset Tony unless absolutely necessary, he brought up your employee file and got a hold of your address.  Getting in the car and driving to your place, he was pissed to discover that it was locked tight and no one had seen you all day.  Swallowing his anger, he headed off to Tony's to relay this development and see if he really was serious about pursuing you.
Upon walking in, Tony told him to take you to the living room and he'd be right out.  However, on entering said room and seeing only Happy, Tony was full of questions.  "Happy, would you care to tell me what is wrong with this picture?"
"I know Tony, I can't explain it.  From what I've been told, shortly after you sent her back to work, she complained about not feeling well and no one has seen her since."
"No one?  Are you fucking kidding me?  Nobody just disappears without a trace.  F.R.I.D.A.Y. I want a trace put on all credit cards in the name of Stark Industries employee 2474789, back timed to two months ago.  I want to know where she's been and where she might go."
"Tony, don't you think all this might be a bit excessive over someone who clearly wants nothing to do with you?"
"You know I was kinda resigned to not knowing who she was, but my god, when she walked into that meeting room and I discovered that I've technically been supporting her for three years.  I can't explain it, Happy but she's awoken something in me.  F.R.I.D.A.Y. what's the status of recent activity?"
"Nothing Boss.  The last credit card purchase was Tuesday at the cafe in the lobby of Stark Industries.  Mint flavored hot chocolate with whipped cream, around lunch time."
"Damn, how does one disappear and go over twenty-four hours without financial support?"
"Um Tony, I don't want to state the obvious, but do you think she might be using cash?"
"Cash?  Seriously Happy, people still do that?"
"It would explain how she's getting by, while staying off F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s radar."
"Ingenious.  My little girl's a clever one, it seems.  Thanks Happy, but I think I can handle her from here.  You can show yourself out?  F.R.I.D.A.Y. pull up any footage you can for Y/F/N's apartment for the last forty-eight hours." Tony ordered, as he headed towards his lab.
Sitting at his workstation, Tony combed through all available footage from your apartment, starting from half an hour before he knew you left work.  Noticing nothing out of the ordinary, he was prepared to try some other approach when he saw a young woman exit your building carrying what appeared to be two black duffel bags.  Watching her deposit them into a black SUV, he waited to see if her face became visible.
"BINGO!  F.R.I.D.A.Y. freeze frame 17a and run facial recognition on that individual."
"Facial recognition scan identifies the young lady as Sabrina Stan.  Wife of Sebastian Stan.  Current head of the New York mob."
"New York mob connections, huh?  Well that could explain her ability to fly under the radar.  Still, let's try this without starting a war.  F.R.I.D.A.Y. I think it's time I stopped fooling around, run Miss Y/L/N through facial recognition and let me know the second you find her."
"Will do boss."  Fifteen minutes later, he heard a beep and looked up from his desk to see footage of you walking through the lobby of the famous Waldorf Astoria towards the elevators.
"Well I'll be damned, either my girl has expensive taste or her mob connections go deeper than a passing acquaintance.  F.R.I.D.A.Y. do a complete, deep data scan.  Cross reference everything to do with Y/F/N Y/L/N, the Waldorf Astoria and the New York Mob.  I need to know if I have to mobilize the Avengers."
Two hours later, having torn himself away from his pet project to play Iron-Man, Tony barely gave himself enough time to rehouse his nanoparticles armor before harassing his A.I.  “F.R.I.D.A.Y. do you have the results of that search?"
"Indeed Boss.  It appears the connection is nothing more than an acquaintance.  Mrs. Stan and Miss Y/L/N were both part of the same book club and writing group a year and a half ago.  It seems a friendship developed out of it."
Though it bugged him, all the bother you were putting him to, this new information coupled with you appearing to be somewhat of an introvert, gave him renewed confidence in his plan.  Having so far found you utterly fascinating, he knew that once he had you, he would make sure you never said no to him again.

starker reclist - AUs
Hey guys! Welcome to the second part of my personal Starker reclist, dedicated to AUs. Last week I posted my canon-based recs, you can find them here.
I tried to incorporate as many tropes as I could, hoping everyone will find something special within their interests. There are a few a/b/o and underage fics, all properly tagged in case anyone wishes to avoid them. I also tried to highlight soulmate AUs because I reckon it’s a somewhat popular trope. Enjoy! ❤️
Last updated: April 25th, 2020. All new fics added will be marked with ***
• 007 AU by @darker-soft-starker (T, 4k, completed)
Summary: Undercover and bored at an art auction, Tony finds entertainment in Peter Parker.
Review: Look, I’m a simple woman. Daniel Craig has owned my ass ever since Casino Royale and I was reading 00Q and Hartwin before I even shipped Starker. Point is, I like spy movies, ok?! So naturally I couldn’t leave this fic out of my reclist. I you need further incentive, consider this quote: “What, a little late night espionage not romantic enough for you?” Peter retorts, whipping a pistol out from his jacket and aiming it at Tony’s chest.
• 3 Times I Told You I Loved You & 1 Time You Said It Back by @starkeristheendgame (E) background Peter/Steve, Peter/Bucky, Peter/Scott
Summary: Peter Parker confesses his love to Tony Stark three times. Once at ten, once at fifteen and once at twenty. Finally convinced that Tony will never love him back, Peter ventures out into a different path, desperate to find the love he seeks from someone else. But you know what they say about star-crossed lovers.
Review: This lovely fic holds a very special place in my heart. I’m so invested I decided to wait until it’s finished so I can read it all in one sitting. Peter’s longing and heartbreak hurt my poor soul but I trust Jensen to give me that promised Starker endgame - I know it will be glorious when it finally comes.
• A Night on the Town by @scarletmanuka1 (G, 2.3k, completed)
Summary: Nightclub AU. Years after the events of Endgame, Tony has hit rock bottom. The Snap left him crippled, Pepper has abandoned him and has taken Morgan with her, and he's feeling old and lonely. Peter arranges a night out at the nightclub that he works at to try and cheer Tony up.
Review: I love get together fics, especially if it involves oblivious!Tony getting his shit together and going after his man. Seeing him bitter and broken after Thanos was hard, but special kudos to IronBros moments because that friendship is true goals!
• Age of Adeline by @starkerforlife6969 (completed) background Harley/Peter, Bucky/Peter, Wade/Peter
Review: I’d never in a million years think about this movie as a Starker AU but gosh, this is everything I needed in my life and it completely devastated me but I loved every minute of it. As a devoted monoshipper, I was surprised to realize that I got emotionally involved with all pairings, even more so with Starker, which totally paid off. Gorgeous, powerful and heartfelt. God bless SFL.
• assume makes ass for u and me by @pretty-well-funded (M, 1.6k, completed) tw underage
Summary: In Tony’s defense, he was sure the kid was a rent boy.
Review: This 1.6k fic caught me completely off guard and now I’m crying because I need MORE. I love the premise, the dialogue is criminally good, their voices are amazing and I can’t get enough of cheeky!Peter charming Tony with his wit and filthy mind.
• Bamf!secretary Peter by @starkerforlife6969 (M, completed)
Review: Who could ever resist some corporate espionage drama with bamf!Peter leaving Tony speechless and horny? Not me. I’d read more 30k of this verse because competent, sassy Peter Parker is such a kink, omg.
• Biker!Tony by @starkerforlife6969 (T, completed) Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Review: Same age AUs are not usually my thing but I can’t resist cute high school sweethearts written by this fandom goddess. Plus, protective!Tony calling Peter “doll” does things to my heart - and Peter’s.
• Breaking Character by @cagestark (E, 8.3k, completed)
Summary: Tony Stark, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, and spy for SHIELD. Working with another SHIELD spy, the infamous Spider, he will take down an infamous human trafficking ring in New York. But the act they have to put on will demand more from Tony than he ever thought he'd have to give. Not that he minds.
Review: The spy trope seriously needs more fic like this one, because I’ll have bamf!Peter lying back to save his country while Tony freaks out any day. Cage hits the perfect balance between plot building, fantastic sexual tension, clever dialogue and the hottest smut sequence. What a ride! (Pun intended).
• Curiosity Killed the Cat by @areluctantsblog (T, 1.5k, completed)
Summary: Peter has been modelling in an art school for years. He's used to strangers' eyes roaming his body - clothed or naked - and he knows that it's not him they are looking at. Not him who they are interested in. He's just a model, a tool for their work. And for a long time he doesn't notice the one pair of eyes that, despite seeing him but rarely, is looking right at him.
Review: Very soft and atmospheric, this fic left me in a bit of a daze and it took me a while to realize it was over. Great writing will do that to you.
• Detective!Tony, Graffiti Artist!Peter by @starkerforlife6969 (M, completed)
Review: Oh don’t mind me, just appreciating this author’s talent at writing from the filthiest smut to the softest “Tony saves Peter in all ways that matter” like this ficlet. We stan.
• Eat at Pete’s by feyrelay + glorious art by @peachbabypie (E)
Summary: Peter gives him an unimpressed look, “If you didn’t do your work, then you wouldn’t be able to earn my time though, would you?” Pfft. “Kid, I have more money than god. I can splurge on your delicious pancakes and attention, trust me,” Tony informs him loftily. Peter smiles that wicked, crooked little smile that's just for him. It's not even and perfect like his the-customer-is-always-right one that's more frequently on offer. “I didn’t say you couldn’t afford it. I said you wouldn’t have earned it.”
Review: How can we ever say no to dom!Peter putting Tony in his place and hopefully on his dick + Tony loving every second of it?? Their dynamics are fantastic and that TASTY COUNTER DIALOGUE KILLS ME. EVERY TIME. Check it out and come scream with me: sub!Tony rights :D
• Fire and Ice by LeafyGreenQueen773 (M, 3k, completed) Soulmate AU
Summary: AU where when someone writes on his or her skin, the same thing shows up on their soulmate in the same place as a Mark that fades away in a few hours.
Review: This was the first Starker soulmate fic I’ve read and it made my heart ache so soft and good. Lovely and bittersweet, quiet and painfully honest.
• Genius, Acrobat, Playboy, Philanthropist by @scarletmanuka1 (E, 28k, completed)
Summary: After Peter's aeriel acrobatics partner, Adrian Toomes is fired from The Avengers Circus Troupe for theft, he is shocked to discover that his replacement is non other than legendary performer, Tony Stark - the man that Peter had hero worshipped since he first learned how to tumble.
Review: After reading this fic I realized I need more Circus AUs in my life. I could read jealous idiots falling in love while doing beautiful acrobatics for the rest of my days. Original plot, nice character development and I really appreciated how the author inserted little canon things here and there.
• Happy to Disappoint by @deaded-blush (M, 60k, completed) tw underage, domestic violence
Summary: Adrian Toomes is in quite deep with notorious mob boss Tony Stark. But when Tony comes to collect the debt owed, he's surprised to discover Toomes has an adoptive son. The chance meeting changes the direction of both their lives...
Review: Hands down one of the best Mafia!AUs I’ve ever seen. Read it all in one sitting and by the end I was SHOOKETH and utterly obsessed with this story. Nothing about it is okay so brace yourself for whump!Peter and lots of h/c. Bonus points for an incredibly satisfying ending that will make you gasp out loud.
• Hey Baby, Slip between my Beta-Pleats and get to know my Alpha-Helix? by @starkerforlife6969 and @darker-soft-starker (E, 37k, completed) A/B/O
Summary: Even though Tony can't tell the difference between Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo, Peter really has no other choice. His heat is around the corner, so even though he loathes the party-going, booze drinking, smug playboy know-it-all that is Tony Stark. He'll just have to do.
Review: I can’t believe life went on as we know it (or did it??) after these two geniuses wrote together. This is the Starker version of “enemies to lovers” we all wanted and deserve, where spoiled-bratty-posh princess Peter finds the perfect balance for his chaotic energy in goofy-unapologetic-charming playboy Tony. Their falling in love is just so tender, so genuine and so good, it’s impossible not to cheer for these two sweethearts through this delightful, carefully crafted story.
• If you let me by @css1992 (E, 12k, completed)
Summary: Peter had tried dating younger guys, but it just didn’t do it for him. They were often too eager, too fast, too rough. Just too young, in general. Not that older men couldn’t be too much, too, Peter learned it the hard way. The man looking back at him from across the room seemed like a good one. He knew he shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but he was gorgeous. Possibly the most handsome man Peter had ever seen in his short life.
Review: I remember the first time I read this fic it hit me in such a powerful way I cried a bit and was too overwhelmed to do words and tell the author just how much I loved it. But I never forgot this fic or the way it made me feel. It’s so evocative, so sexy, so raw, so heartbreaking, so sweet and so gentle. Great atmosphere, even greater characterization and some of the hottest smut I’ve ever read. Treat yourself and check this out right now.
• I’ll be Home by @starkerforlife6969 (M, completed) A/B/O
Summary: The story starts when Soldier Tony comes home for a few days, and is introduced to the love of his life.
Review: Will I ever stop reccing SFL’s works? Maybe, but today is not the day. This gorgeous, breathtaking fic attacked me in my own house during Christmas day and made me cry like a baby. I’m a sucker for reunion stories - the longing, the heartbreak, the power of endurance. This fic reminded me that no matter how long or difficult the journey, love will always find a way.
• Little Spider by @stfustucky (iwillpaintasongforlou) (E, 5k, completed)
Summary: Peter Parker is one of the country's best hitmen, known in the underworld as the Little Spider. He spends his days in the lap of luxury with his billionaire fiance Tony Stark, and his nights doing dirty work for various shady characters. Life is good, right up until someone puts out a hit on Tony and wants Peter to pull the trigger. It... might be time for them to have a talk.
Review: Omg this fic was so deliciously good in a totally surprising and sexy way. Bamf!Peter took my breath away with the perfect balance between his two personas. Tony getting off on that sheer power and confidence is a BIG MOOD and my second favorite thing in this fic. The first being the badass power couple they make.
• love somebody like you (E) by @intoxicatelou
Summary: five times Tony was Peter’s roommate and one time he was his soulmate instead.
Review: Who doesn’t love some forced proximity mixed with the unbeatable soulmate trope? This plot is the hottest take and my heart cannot handle young!Tony with his brilliant mind and sassy charm protecting and flirting with Peter, unfff feels everywhere *cries in Starker*
• Love Thy Neighbour by @darker-soft-starker (T, 2.3k, completed)
Summary: Tony's new neighbour is kinda weird.
Review: I know I keep saying that same age!AUs are not really my thing but I’m the softest bitch for feel-good, cozy domesticity, and I love how this charming story shows that ordinary life become magical when shared with someone special. I could babble all night about how eccentric and confident Peter seduces our man of science that for once has absolutely no idea of what’s going on - but you really should see it for yourself right now :)
• Mafia Boss!Tony Break Up Make Up by @starkerforlife6969 (E, completed)
Review: Man, this fic was so rude to my heart. The heartbreak, the rough sex, the guilt, the hopeful make up, the gorgeous ending. My body literally cannot take the stress, why are Mafia AUs so doomed and beautiful and more importantly, why is SFL so good at writing them???
• Microcosm Series by @bloomblood (M, 32k) tw underage
Summary: Tony and Peter become each other’s heroes after the Snap, saving themselves before they offer aid back to the world.
Review: I haven’t read many post-apocalyptic fics but this series’s raw atmosphere sucked me in. I adore the quiet intimacy, the slow and tentative healing, and all the silent and complex emotions underneath apparent simplicity. Big aesthetic mood, just as its lovely author.
• Musechaser by @nightskygardenia (M, 10.5k, completed)
Summary: Eighteen year old art student Peter Parker is desperately searching for his muse, someone who can bring his creative skills to the next level through inspiration. Lucky for him, his next class just so happens to feature a gorgeous model by the name of Tony Stark, a man Peter's convinced is his muse, to the point of staying after class to ask for private modeling sessions.
Review: Another big aesthetic mood, this fic paints a gorgeous imagery. I love the setting, the slow pace and the building anticipation until the sexual tension finally breaks. Peter is adorable and Tony exudes confidence; their voices are spot on and their chemistry is palpable and intense.
• My Best Friend’s Dad by @darker-soft-starker (M, 17.6k, completed)
Summary: Peter is home for the summer, back from his first year away at college. Having stayed over at Harley's house every weekend since they were fourteen, he never used to think much of his friend’s dad. A few years worth of college experience has Peter noticing Tony in a different way. This time, Tony notices him back.
Review: Turns out that Tony Stark being a dad and a daddy is too much for my body. I worship this fic. I wanna get married to it and have its babies. No words will ever make it justice *sobs* no but seriously, secret relationship is a perfect Starker trope and this one will take you to the edge of your seat until the very end. A+ characterization, lovely build up, infuriating cliffhangers and the wholesome happy ending we all deserve. This is the kind of fic that leaves you a bit depressed once it’s over, because you suddenly realize you’ll never read it for the first time ever again. So get to it and make sure to enjoy every second!
• One Call Away by @readysetstarker (E)
Summary: Tony didn’t need the phone sex gig. He was more than well off, his own sex life was in great shape, but damn, there was just something about listening to someone else get off to his voice.
Review: Omg who could ever resist sex hotline + daddy kink + identity porn? Dev is coming after our own hearts and bodies with this hot combo. I love the balance between their cute chemistry and the hot phone sex, plus the identity porn is deliciously fun. I was so happy to know this fic is getting longer than the author had previously anticipated because I’m definitely not ready to let it go.
• Open Road by @starkerflowers (E, 2.5k, completed)
Summary: It’s not love, but it’s good. TW: implied abuse (not between Tony/Peter); bruises/violence; panic attack.
Review: This refreshing not-quite-a-love-story will capture your heart, make it hurt, make it ache, make it hope and finally, make it heal. This fic is so gorgeously written I honestly cannot rec it enough. Yes, it’s dark and angsty, but it’s also gentle, hopeful and deeply evocative.
• Panty Raid by @starkerforlife6969 (M, completed) A/B/O
Summary:  Imagine Tony being forced to do a panty raid as an initiation for his fraternity. So Tony, keeping up his playboy appearances, sneaks into the omega dorms. And he sees sweet innocent Peter who is so alarmed by the alphas raiding their dorm Tony can’t help but comfort him.
Review: Unf this fic is just too charming and cute, my heart cannot take it. Frat stories are so fun they make me forget my preference for age gaps and realize I could read more 50k of protective young!Tony any day, please and thank
• Pete’s Eats by @darker-soft-starker (T, 9.3k, completed)
Summary: Peter has a YouTube channel where he just drinks wine and teaches people how to cook things if they live in a mediocre apartment. While cooking and drinking he just talks about stuff like memes and school and, most importantly, his undying thirst for Tony Stark.
Review: This is legit the funniest shit I’ve ever read, everybody else can go home. I was already sold on Peter being a relatable thirsty dork, but Tony’s A+++ characterization (for a moment I thought it was RDJ on the big screen) and the identity porn side trope killed me for good. And what a way to go. I’m an angst hoe but I could read this forever and would be okay with it.
• pondus, pondera by spqr (M, 9.3k, completed) underage prostitution but not between P/T
Summary: Peter sells his virginity for $5,000 when he’s fifteen.
Review: Ugh I’m so weak for the angsty hooker trope, I just love the potential to simultaneously explore whump, mutual pining and gentle recovery. Trust spqr to deliver it all with a carefully crafted slow burn, god-tier characterization and a heartfelt and satisfying get together. This fic is a gem.
• Powerful by @cagestark (E, 4.6k, completed) SIM!Tony
Summary: After finding out about Peter's abusive ex, Tony privately vows revenge.
Review: This fic took my breath away and made me realize that dark!Tony with a soft spot for Peter is everything I need in my life. Precious Peter being empowered by a viciously protective Tony is now my absolute jam, and it was fascinating to see see their dynamics mutually feeding each other’s nature. This fic is gorgeous, sexy and liberating.
***Red Light District series by @starker-stories (17k, ongoing)
Summary: Everyone knows that Tony Stark is a playboy who has dozens of women passing through his life and through his bed. What everyone doesn't know is that Tony Stark is deeply closeted, longing for something he can't ever have -- a life and a love with another man.
Review: I’m completely in love with this series and not only because it explores the good old hooker trope which I’m very partial to. It’s so well written and atmospheric, if a tad bittersweet and heart-wrenching. Great narrative tension, Tony and Peter’s chemistry is insane, their voices and dialogue are amazing and the smut is looong and scorching hot *chef’s kiss*
• Samadhi by @starkercrossedlovers (E, completed)
Summay: Tony goes to yoga to try and deal with his anxiety and ends up falling for the instructor, one Peter Parker.
Review: Okay so yoga fics are among my guilty pleasures and I can’t get enough of feel-good fics like this one. Peter’s such a sweetheart, so thoughtful and amazing with Tony. I love it when they take care of each other and find solace together, this fic made me soft :’)
• Single dad baker!Peter and lawyer!Tony by @starkerforlife6969 (G, completed)
Review: I’m not usually a fluff girl but this fic is just too wholesome to go by unnoticed. Nothing hits my soft side harder than a cynical character reaching that turning point that makes them start to believe in love. Fuck yes, YOU SHOW THAT MAN SOME HAPPILY EVER AFTER PETE
• Soft Kitty by @ko-fiandfanfiction (E, 33k, completed)
Summary: Peter wasn’t wearing something Tony would call normal, not that there was anything inherently wrong with what he was wearing or anything. It just struck him as…different. To put it plainly. Tony is not sure what to make of this new development.
Review: For those of you who love some occasional feminization, this is the perfect treat. Soft, sexy and sweet, it combines top guilty, pining Tony with oblivious idiots in love, two of my favorite tropes. Amazing slow burn with glorious sexual tension, infuriating dancing around each other and a very satisfying get together. Bonus points for including the “Avengers living together in the Tower” trope, this is the 2012 team building fic we deserved.
• Solitaire by @darker-soft-starker (M, 29k, completed)
Summary: After a traumatic experience, Tony loses his marriage and his business empire in one fell swoop. At rock bottom, it takes real change to pick up the pieces, to dig himself out of the funk he's been living in. It's not pretty. Along the path of healing Tony meets a bright young man, Peter Parker, who makes the entire journey worth it.
Review: Oh man, this was a tough ride on the soul. Few things hurt me like reading whump!Tony but his healing journey is so beautiful it’s all worth it. Top notch characterization, amazing dialogue, FEELS EVERYWHERE, and a gorgeous portrayal of loneliness, friendship, hope and love.
• Someone Who Makes you Happy by tuesday (T, 6k, completed) Soulmate AU
Summary: Peter was born with several marks already marring his skin, including an interlocking AES over his heart. A scar-sharing soulmate AU.
Review: This fic is absolutely stunning and it makes my heart ache in all the right places. Great worldbuilding (I LOVE the scarring concept, so unique and fitting to these characters), A+++ Tony characterization (the wit and the self-hate are so spot on I could weep) and a journey full of longing, until they finally get to be on the same page.
• Splice by Mezzymet (E, 35k, completed) A/B/O
Summary: "He's not...." The doctors polite nature and disposition hadn't been able to mask the odd tone of his voice, like he had been reading someone's death certificate. Only Peter hadn't been on his death bed. "Peter isn't like the other kids.
Review: I keep coming back to this story because it’s such a fascinating and unique take on this trope. Very well thought and put together - the world building is fantastic, the sex sequences are breathtaking, and Tony’s gentle thoughtfulness makes me wanna cry.
• Stopover by @cagestark (E, 10k, completed)
Summary: A stopover is just a break in a journey. Tony is on the run from the organization he used to kill for, and when he stopped for gas and coffee in the small town of Stopover, IL, he had no plans to leave with anything more.
Review: *sigh* this is the mob boss!Tony fic I’ve waited for all my life. Even more impressive than the delicious smut checking all my kink boxes was the phenomenal build up, the overall urgent atmosphere that surrounds those “on the run”, combined with the gentle wonder of stealing a moment in time to find solace in the most unlikely place. Breathtakingly moving.
• Student Body President Election by @starkerforlife6969 (T, completed)
Summary: Tony and Peter are competing for Student Body President and a smear campaign takes things a little too far.
Review: GIMME ENEMIES TO LOVERS AND ALL THE HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA. This ficlet is so fun and adorable it will make your heart smile. Great plot idea and the usual bonus points for protective!Tony being a sweetheart. Will have more 30k, pls and thank.
• Such a Softer Sin by @css1992 (E, 18k, completed) background Peter/Norman
Summary: Tony is a self-made man. Peter is a sugar baby – someone else’s sugar baby.
Review: Another fantastic slow burn that hit me hard in the feels. I love it when fics explore the characters’ personal struggles before they get together, and while the Peter!whump destroyed my heart, Tony’s parallel journey of growth took my breath away. css1992’s talent took the good old sugar baby trope to a whole new epic level.
• Summer Daze by @darker-soft-starker (NR, 4.3k, completed)
Summary: Starker no-powers au where Peter watches construction worker Tony from his bedroom window as the older man works across the street.
Review: Ahh yes, the classic “food as metaphor for love” trope, my absolute jam. This fic is so adorable and endearing, pining!Peter in his wooing mission makes my heart ache and the sweet anticipation is so good. There’s something about this fic that gives me nostalgia; it’s as soft and warm as a summer breeze.
• Tamed by @cagestark (E, 8.3k, completed)
Summary: Tony Stark, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, and spy for SHIELD. Working with another SHIELD spy, the infamous Spider, he will take down an infamous human trafficking ring in New York. But the act they have to put on will demand more from Tony than he ever thought he'd have to give. Not that he minds.
Review: It’s no wonder this is Cage’s most beloved fic. Bad boy!Tony being all soft for Peter is everything we deserve, not to mention a mesmerizing (and HOT AF) first time together. This fic shows how rich and captivating Cage’s writing is - she’s able to transform that old basic trope into something unique and heartfelt. If you need one more reason to read this, please consider: best first bj ever :)
• Teacher!Tony wrong number by @areluctantsblog (T) tw underage
Summary: Peter’s using a replacement phone and mistypes Ned’s number asking for help on a physics problem.
Review: I have such a soft spot for this fic! It was one of the first AUs I’ve ever read and I’m completely in love with their dynamics. Peter’s underage but this fic is carefully written and pretty tame, so I’d rec it to anyone looking for the good old “they probably shouldn’t, but then again nothing’s happening” trope.
• The Bleedover Effect by tuesday (T, 11k, completed) Soulmate AU
Summary: The first time Tony got punched in the face by nobody there, he had a lot of very complicated feelings about it that mostly boiled down to, "I deserve this." A pain-sharing soulmate AU.
Review: Tuesday truly is the queen of soulmate AUs, we have no other choice but STAN. First of all, I adore the concept here - being such a sucker for whump, this could easily become my favorite soulmate trope. As usual, her Tony voice is perfect and his devotion to Peter hits my fragile heart every time. Kudos for the soft and hopeful ending. The series has been discontinued but the sequels are very much worth the read, if you’re up for it :)
• The Catfish Chronicles by @stfustucky (iwillpaintasongforlou) (E, 32k, completed)
Summary: Peter creates a fake profile under the name “Benjamin” trying to catch his scumbag boyfriend cheating. Tony creates a Tinder profile for "Anthony" looking for love late in life. Funny how two geniuses who fight side by side every day can only manage to fall in love after they've accidentally catfished each other. This is... gonna get awkward.
Review: My identity porn thirst might be showing but who cares, I want these two idiots pining after each other in every possible way. This was such a fun and exciting ride! The suspense had me legit freaking out and their get together was lovely and wholesome. I particularly adored how thoughtful and sweet Tony was dealing with Peter’s insecurities, that was handled really well. A treat!
• The Concept of Domesticity by @peters-tofu (E) mpreg
Summary: Tony has accomplished nearly everything he's set out to do, now he wants something different. A family of his own? Sounds easy enough. But he's far too impatient for a relationship, so surrogacy it is. Meanwhile, twenty-two year old college student Peter Parker has just volunteered to be a bearer at an agency.
Review: Can’t say I’m a big fan of this trope but since every rule has its exception, here it is! The only Starker mpreg I’ve ever read is so so good and adorable I can’t help smiling every time I think about it. I just love their dynamics, the soft domesticity, the cute bantering, and the fact that Peter has one baby daddy all wrapped around his little finger but what else is new ;)
***The Date by Neuropsyche (E, 33k, completed)
Summary: Tony has a high society gala and he needs a date.
Review: My favorite fake dating AU so far, this fic is so sweet and wholesome. Confident!Peter is my jam and it was amazing to see their sassy bantering evolving into genuine affection towards each other, not to mention the delicious hot smut with dom!Tony :D
• The Final Heist by @starkerforlife6969 (G, 10k, completed)
Summary: Tony’s only got one more heist. He does this, he can be retired on an island in the Mediterranean in a month. All he needs is a world-class art forger. (White Collar inspired)
Review: Honestly, the amount of times I’ve mentioned SFL in this list is getting embarrassing. I must have done something really good in another life to get such a talented author writing something inspired by one of my favorite TV shows. I feel like this fic was personally crafted for me; it’s original, romantic, sexy, fun, clever and so very atmospheric. I’m a lucky hoe.
• The Heart Benefits of Exercise by @areluctantsblog (E, 14k, completed)
Summary: Personal Trainer Tony and Gym Newbie Peter. Peter can hardly keep it together watching Tony demonstrate different exercises and lift weights. Tony is very much aware of the effect he has on his trainee, and after a session, Peter begs to be shown a whole different array of exercises.
Review: This fic was a lovely surprise, very relatable and entertaining. Love myself an adorable Peter thirsting over Tony (can’t really judge lol), especially if it comes with a good amount of pining and hot, kinky smut :D
• Tipping the Scale by JayPendragon (E, 119k, completed)
Summary: Peter has a rhythm. A system. All runs like a well-oiled machine, engineering pun intended. Every wheel of his life is churning perfectly. He doesn’t expect Tony Stark of all people to throw a wrench in it.
Review: Hooker!AUs are my kryptonite, I’m so here for the “fuck first, talk later” and the general pining + misunderstandings + h/c combo this trope provides. This amazing longfic delivers it all with a well-paced, delicious slow burn told from Peter’s POV, which is always a delight to read and makes you fall even more in love with him. If you also enjoy this trope you’re in for a treat!
•  To Catch a Spider by Thekeyandquill (E)
Summary: After the war, Peter Parker left his career as a spy behind to live a simple life in the south of France. But when someone frames him for the theft of plans for a new weapon, he must re-enter his old life and get close to the real thief's likely next target - one Tony Stark. A To Catch a Thief AU.
Review: TKAQ is so skilled their writing should be experienced like fine wine. Amazing research, top notch world building and characterization, and the loveliest atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re inside a movie. Clever, organic dialogue and a sexual tension so palpable you can almost taste it. This is a gem. Make sure to check their other works.
•  Two White, Two Black, One Pink by @starkerforlife6969 (E) poly fic: Peter/Tony, Peter/Steve, Peter/Bucky, Peter/Strange Summary: Peter has three (maybe one day: four) men in his life who mean the world to him. Review: Ugh, this fic is pure bliss. It has legit ruined me for any and all other poly fics. Words just cannot describe how gorgeous, poetic and unique SFL’s writing is, or how deeply it has affected me. So if you enjoy Mafia AUs, poly fics and soft-but-also-bamf!Peter taking care of Tony AND being taken care of by the men he loves, give this a chance and experience transcending storytelling.
•  Uranium Heart by spqr (M, 11k, completed) Soulmate AU Summary: It’s probably better, Peter thinks, that he doesn’t know who his soulmate is. He wouldn’t want to lie to them about Spider-Man, but he doesn’t think he’d be able to tell them the truth, either.
Review: Be still my heart. This is such a gorgeous fic! Not only it combines two major tropes in a coherent 11k story, but I also appreciate how spqr explores these characters and their dynamics in a very unique and realistic way. I strongly recommend checking their other works, especially Landslide.
•  Waiting Game by @cagestark (E, 6k, completed)
Summary: Peter hasn't seen Tony in fifteen years. Not since he had their hasty marriage annulled, graduated college, and moved across the country. Their twenty year high school reunion will find them reunited. They've both changed, but one thing hasn’t. Hint: it's their feelings for each other.
Review: This fic literally made my heart BURST WITH FEELS: the whole build up and anticipation, the slow disclosure of their past, the first uncertain moments of their reunion. I also appreciate the powerful and moving message underneath it all, that true healing comes after we overcome our demons at our own pace. A masterpiece.
•  Wooing Peter Parker by Neuropsyche (E, 62.5k, completed)
Summary: Tony and Rhodey dodge the press and sneak into the library where they meet Peter Parker - who immediately catches Tony's eye. But Peter isn't a one and done kind of guy and Tony's going to have to work for what he wants this time.
Review: This is the kind of fic that warms you all over and makes you smile non stop. It has so many elements I love in fic: cute flirting, clever banter, hot sex, soft domesticity, boys being reasonable and talking their problems out for a change. If you’re looking for something light, sweet and honest, this series is a must read!

Have any theories for SM3?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of these are practically the same, I’ll answer them all in this one.
Peter: This could go two ways, and remember this is just me guessing lmao. I kinda have the feeling that Peter will isolate himself from his family and friends? Because he’ll feel like he’s going to put them in danger. So I’m thinking he’s on the run refusing the accept help and doing it all on his own.
This is where I expect the directors to take advantage of Tom Holland’s acting range. This is the perfect time for Peter to start getting some flashbacks (irondad :D), hallucinations, and finally dealing with certain traumas (Ben, Vulture, Titan, Thanos, Death, Tony’s death, his identity, Mysterio, etc). And also, IF Homesick is the real title of the movie, then it’s self-explanatory.
Or. Knowing how goofy this Spider-Man is, Peter might go to Fury, Strange, or Happy panicking (similar to how he did when he came back to life in Endgame or when Ned found out he was Spider-Man) about what happened and asking for help.
Relationships: Given Tom’s comment and how there’s so much going on (new villains, new storylines, new characters, Peter’s identity, etc) I kinda have the feeling this could also go both ways. One, Peter might cut communication with Michelle (and the rest of his friends and family) to protect them. So, Michelle might try to contact him and he’s going to maybe break-up with her for the same reason. Same with Ned, since he’s his guy in the chair and best friend, he’s going to try and help him and Peter won’t let him. Kinda have the feeling he’s going to tell Happy to take care of May (I really hope they let Marisa Tomei have more creative liberty with her character on this one).
Also, I think how this goes depends on where they’re taking Spider-Man in the MCU. If this is the last spider-man movie in the franchise, we might say good-bye to some characters and expect others to do cameos along with Tom for future movies. I think Ned is going to be the one they’re going to choose to do cameos with Tom given that he’s the one they chose for IW and Endgame:
Tumblr media
(Imagen belongs to MCU direct on twitter)
Or. I didn’t want to make this parallel because it involves a dead actor but, with all of my respect, I feel like Marvel might pull a sentimental phone conversation like the one Mia and Brian from Fast & Furious had in F&F:7. I think Marvel might go this way with Michelle and Peter but I’m not sure. Also, Jon Watts loves to give spideychelle stans fanservice, so you might expect the popular spider-man kiss to happen.
Tumblr media
Family: It would be great to see flashbacks of uncle Ben. Like, Peter remembering stuff about him and more. Also, irondad flashbacks. I think they might add something about this, maybe not a flashback but Peter talking about Tony. Marisa said May might be a community organizer in sm3 so that means we might see May finally getting more screen-time.
Bringing back Homecoming actors: THEY NEED TO BRING BACK MY GIRL
Tumblr media
I know some of you want her to become a villain but I highly doubt this is going to happen because it’s a little out of character for Liz. Laura has insisted multiple times that Liz is a kind-hearted down to earth girl. She has a good heart and might be able to understand Peter’s actions. Give her more credit, she’s not some dumb cheerleader just like many of you think. You also need to think about the fact that this is not Liz’s movie lmao and a revenge arc might be a big role (and I highly doubt Marvel will respect her and give her the credit/screen-time she deserves) that can take a lot of the movie. Also, some of you are plain disrespectful with Laura’s age, she doesn’t look 30 at all (and I know you all know this) and you want her to be an adult (and I know some of you do it because you don’t want anyone in between spideychelle but mocking her age and calling her old is not ok). If she’s in the movie, let’s respect Laura, please.
I think Liz might be a key role in Peter’s journey in this movie. I think she’s going to help him somehow. By either doing the right thing and going behind her dad’s back to help Spider-Man (yassss, my girl might get some action) or giving him an important piece of information. Or she might give Peter advice or a heartfelt speech.
Villains: Am I being too kind to Marvel if I say something like this might happen?
Tumblr media
Not the same villains but you get the point. But I do think they might have a grand scene like this one for the movie. After all, a lot of people are going after Spider-Man. Mysterio might be alive.
Post-credits scene: If they give Holland a fourth spider-man movie just like with Thor, I think they might do the Norman & Harry Osborn reveal.
Tumblr media
(Let’s all manifest this Norman Osborn♥)
I kinda have the feeling Tom will get Harrison the role of Harry. I don’t know why, I just have the feeling lmao. Imagine being Matthew’s son in a movie, I can’t relate lmaooo. The second post-credits could be some spider-verse introduction scene. This girl was in HOCO and IW:
Tumblr media
She’s supposed to be Cindy Moon. Let’s see what happens with her.
Scenes: Remember the plane scene in FFH with Happy? I think we might get a similar scene in sm3 but with Strange. Maybe Strange telling Peter that Tony would be proud of him (Am I giving Marvel too much credit? lmao). But I have the feeling that he’s going to be the one to deliver the sentimental speech to Peter. You know, the one he gets in every movie.
Tumblr media
Not probable but might happen (none of these are facts, calm down):
1. AI Tony: Downey said he’s done with Marvel but who knows, anything can happen. Maybe Tom can convince him. I’m just putting this out there just in case.
Tumblr media
2. Multiverse with Tobey and Andrew: I don’t know if this is confirmed yet but knowing how the MCU loves pleasing the dudebros, I’m guessing it’s a big possibility.
3. Major character dying: I don’t know if the poor kid can take more pain but since they’re doing Peter the same way they did to Tony, I’m saying it’s possible. Might be Michelle, Ned, or who knows, maybe Flash.
4. Avenger: They might make Peter a full permanent member of the Avengers team or might even be the new leader. Or we might see a new Avengers facility.
That’s all I got. Thank you!♥

X-Men Abridged: 1964
The X-Men, those wacky mutants that have sworn to protect a world that hates and fears them, are a cultural juggernaut with a long, tangled history. Want to unravel the tapestry? Then read the Abridged X-Men!
(X-Men 3 - 8) - by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby
Tumblr media
Fantastic Four 28
The X-Men’s sophomore year basically serves as a recruitment drive for  Professor Xavier and Magneto: both our heroes and those nefarious villains try to recruit various mutants (The Blob, Namor, Unus the Untouchable), all with absolutely no success.
Tumblr media
We also meet Magneto’s home team, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. (Later on, they would drop the ‘evil’, because why would Magneto call himself evil? He believes he’s doing the right thing.) The Brotherhood consists of:
An acrobatic toady;
A white-haired speedster whose entire personality is that he loves his sister;
A fashion victim with nebulously defined disaster powers;
A creepy, sexist illusionist, who is by far the most useful on this squad. He is literally the only reason Magneto briefly conquers a country.
Tumblr media
i, too, enjoy towers of mashed potatoes (X-Men 4)
Magneto is fleshed out more: he still remains fabulously extra, but he develops an obsession with owning strongholds and/or land. In this year alone, he owns one island (1), one manor (1) and one asteroid (1). He also briefly takes over the nation of Santo Marco. Magneto also does some astral projection, because magnets can... do... that? (Just go with it.)
Tumblr media
he is just so ridiculous <3 (X-Men 7)
Tumblr media
magnetic intensity indeed. like toad and rogue, I would fall in love with magneto in a heartbeat (X-Men 5)
While the Toad’s and Mastermind’s loyalty to Magneto is never questioned, Pietro and Wanda, meanwhile, show plenty of reluctance in following the mutant despot. They even help the X-Men once or twice, but ultimately remain loyal to Magneto because he saved Wanda from an angry mob. (The mob is traditionalist rather than racist: They want to burn her because she is a witch, not because she’s a mutant. So it’s fine.)
However, this year does mark the first appearance of anti-mutants sentiments: a crowd attacks Hank after he saves some kid from a water tower, simply because they suspect he’s a mutant. I always thought it was Claremont who introduced this theme, but apparently, he merely expanded on something Lee started. It also introduces the conflict between Xavier’s views and Magneto’s: the hippie professor believes in peaceful coexistence, the flamboyant villain in the dominance of homo superior.
Tumblr media
they were so mean, Warren, they even took my glasses! (X-Men 8)
It’s also the first example of Professor X opening up his home to a villain in an attempt to reform them. The Blob, petty and churlish, refuses, but I have to admit I would read the fuck out of a What If? where the Blob accepts Charles’ offer.
This year also lays a lot ground for the X-Men themselves, fleshing them out. Hank becomes loquacious and smart, Warren reaches peak himbo and Bobby establishes himself as the jokester. Scott, meanwhile, becomes a lot more emo, tormented by his uncontrollable powers and his love for Jean. She also loves him, but neither of them actually does anything about it. In other character development, Jean straightens her hair.
Tumblr media
in 2021, I aspire to have the same confidence as Warren goddamn Worthington entering a fucking room (X-Men 4)
Meanwhile, Charles is apparently also crushing hard on Miss Grey. (Which is fortunately dropped and mostly forgotten about, because ick.) That, combined with the fact that almost every male character notes how sexy either Jean or Wanda is, really does show how badly all of this aged. I haven’t really read old Fantastic Four or the Avengers, but I do hope Sue and the Wasp have a trifle more personality than this.
Tumblr media
don’t fret, Jean, the only competition you have to worry about is Magneto (X-Men 6)
But! Charles does other weird stuff too! In a shocking display of extreme teaching methods, Professor X pretends to have lost his powers so the X-Men can prove themselves against the Brotherhood in space. Cyclops nearly dies, but despite that, Professor X graduates his X-Men! He then leaves and puts Cyclops in charge. Solid leadership skills all around.
Tumblr media
this is just adorable (X-Men 7)
Oh yeah, the X-Men also fight Namor and the Fantastic Four, and Iceman starts his bromance with the Human Torch. For those keeping track in the future: this is the point where the young X-Men are time-abducted for their All-New X-Men capers. (X-Men #8, to be exact.) Bobby also has an unhealthy obsession with eating icecream.
Tumblr media
it’s 1964, do you know where your teen-age mutant hoodlums are? (X-Men 4)
Must reads: X-Men #3, the introduction of the Blob, and X-Men #4, the introduction of the Brotherhood. The rest are all variations on the same themes and... not that great.
Didn’t you take Art History? This era is characterized by cheesy, cheesy writing and the kind of art that seems better suited to a Disney comic than a superhero epic. Stan Lee tends to overexplain everything we see in the art. Despite Kirby’s style not really being my cup of tea, he does effective work and some of his spreads are actually gorgeous. Check this out.
Tumblr media
so… daddy longlegs is not a mutant? (X-Men 3)
Best new character: The Blob. Hear me out.  He is a different kind of villain than most of the villains introduced in this era: he is petty and small-minded, rather than megalomaniacal and dramatic, which makes for a nice change of pace. Then there’s the fact that he looks grotesque and that even the X-Men, who should know better, mock him and body-shame him. (Nice going, calling him ‘fatso’ while he probably even couldn’t lose weight if he tried, because, you know, it’s his mutant power). He is like a foil to the Thing: mean and selfish where the Thing tries to be heroic and rise above his circumstances. The Blob is an unhappy man who does unhappy things; some authors have realized that he’s more than just a fat joke: there’s something inherently cruel about his mutant power.
Tumblr media
then again, Fred does call Jean a cute tomato, so maybe he deserves everything the X-Men throw at him (X-Men 3)
Most audacious retcon: Nobody seems to have a grasp on how strong Professor X and Marvel Girl are. One issue, Jean can toss around a crowd of women, the next, she can’t pick up Hank.  Charles seems to be just as strong as the plot demands.
Ugliest Costume: The Scarlet Witch. Pink and red? O honey, no.
Tumblr media
wanda, what is that headpiece (X-Men 4)

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: New World Order (1x01)
Watching this show is going to be strange for me because I genuinely ship Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson with one Steve Rogers... so basically I just want to watch them sitting around being sad about him being dead the whole time. But I'm open to the possibilities, here, I really am...
Cons:
Positioning the bad guys here as... well, as communists who want a world without borders, and then making them into terrorists... let's just say I'm side-eying this pretty hard. You have that twist at the end, where the United States brings forth a new symbolic hero, a new Captain America, and my brain immediately started spinning forward as to where this is going to go. See, we've got anarchist baddies who want to destroy all the flags on one side, then we've got this pretender to the throne on the other side. But the issue won't be that there's something inherently flawed with the whole concept of a militarized heroic folk legend for Americans to idealize... it'll be about how it's the wrong man carrying the shield. At some point, in a moment of triumph, Sam will take the mantle on for himself, and then we can safely and comfortably cheer as our hero takes down the big bad commies who don't love 'Murica enough. I want to be wrong. I want them to mix things up, to challenge things, but all I can see is that the ultimate heroic conclusion is going to be "government control of Captain America is Bad, but Captain America himself, and what he stands for, specifically America, is good."
While I know this episode needed to set up a lot of puzzle pieces, I did think there were moments of somewhat clumsy exposition with both Bucky and Sam's story-lines. We've got Sam who's worried about his sister and her kids losing the family home and boat, and going to get a loan. There were some good moments in here, but it was a bit paint-by-numbers, and some of the dialogue fell into that "as you know..." trap where characters were having a conversation, then needed to stop and tell us it's a conversation they've already had a million times before. They're having the talk for our benefit as the audience only. That's a tough needle to thread, and they didn't quite thread it. The same thing happens during Bucky's therapy appointment. First off, the whole waking up out of a dream thing, cut to a therapist talking about nightmares... another cliché. And then we have the therapist walking him through the three steps, and restating them for the benefit of the audience, even though in the ordinary course they wouldn't lay it all out like that again, since Bucky would already know. It's a small thing, I'm nitpicking, but there were some rough aspects to the start of the show.
Pros:
First off, let's just acknowledge that the show looks great. That whole opening action scene with Sam rescuing the guy, flying around, helicopters blowing up, the base jumping tech... damn. It felt like I could be watching an action sequence on the big screen, in any standard MCU movie. Maybe not the climactic fight, but one of the shorter, introductory ones for sure. And that's what this was, wasn't it? A strong, exciting, high-energy start to the show.
I really love Sam Wilson, y'all. There's something so incredibly powerful about watching a show like this with a black man in the leading role. He's such a good person, he's charming and funny and bad-ass but compassionate. He's a little cocky but nowhere approaching an asshole about his power and fame. He's stubborn but that just shows that he really cares. The movies don't have a ton of screen-time with Sam, if we're being honest, but I already really liked him, and here I'm seeing the chance to flesh out the details and let Anthony Mackie do his thing on the silver screen. It's all really working for me so far.
I like the side characters we're folding in here - his sister seems like an interesting character with a lot to offer, and I love that Sam has these nephews in his life to care for, something to anchor him to the world in a way that Bucky, who I'll talk about in a second, kind of doesn't. It provides a nice contrast between them. I also really liked Torres, the man who helps teach Sam about the Flag Smashers (ugh, that name) and seems like a solid dude who wants to make a positive difference in the world. I hope we see more of him too.
(Also, while I'm sure Rhodey was just a brief appearance in this first episode, it was so good to see him too! I'll miss him in the MCU, if he doesn't keep popping up.)
The last thing I'll mention on Sam's side of the story is that bank loan scene. It was such a punch in the gut to see Sam denied the loan, and one of the reasons being "you don't have any income for the past five years." Well... Sam didn't exist. He got Thanos snapped. This feels so realistic to me, that the system would not pivot to adapt to the new situation, but instead leave more and more people out in the cold. Then you have the bank employee trying to get selfies with the Falcon, all excited to meet an Avenger, all while denying him and his family the money they needed to make ends meet. It was such a devastating scene, and you could see so much hope draining out of Sam's eyes. I'm anxious to see where this goes.
And then you've got Bucky Barnes... let me just say, that despite the fact that he's a super assassin, whenever I see Bucky on the screen I just want to wrap him in a blanket and protect him from all harm. When I saw how Sebastian Stan was debuting on the show, in a flashback to his Winter Solider evil days, I literally said out loud, "oh no, poor Bucky" as if I wasn't watching him murder a bunch of people in cold blood. I have such an intense desire for him to be okay, so seeing him not being okay, but trying in these small ways to atone for his past actions, makes me so proud of him already.
Despite my undying belief that Bucky Barnes is deeply in love with Steve Rogers and that nobody will ever take Steve's place in his heart... I thought the date scene was actually very cute. The flowers, the board game, just chilling in the restaurant... I don't know. I hope that woman is in the show moving forward. I want Bucky to be happy. I want him to make new friends, forge connections in the world. I also really liked the stuff with Yuri, and when the reveal happened about Bucky having killed his son, it was a severe punch to the gut. Maybe I was supposed to have guessed it before the show told me, but I didn't, and when I realized why Bucky had befriended this old grumpy man... oh god. It's all too tragic.
On the one hand, it makes me a little nervous that there are only six episodes in this season, and in the first one we didn't even see Sam and Bucky interact. On the other hand, it's a pretty smart move to keep us waiting, at least a little, for the duo to emerge and develop a rapport. I can't wait for the fun banter, as I think Sam and Bucky are both funny, snarky people albeit with different attitudes and ways of expressing said snark. And I also can't wait for some more serious content between them, as they ruminate on all they've lost in the wars they've fought, on how hard it is to be suddenly missing five years of your life... and on Steve Rogers, a great friend (*ahem* boyfriend *ahem*) that they've both recently lost.
They're also holding back on Sam taking up the mantle of Captain America. I wonder if that will be a point of contention between Bucky and Sam. Bucky was there, Bucky gave his blessing, honestly, when Steve handed over the shield, and it was the only thing about Steve's ending in Endgame that didn't make me insanely furious. I want this to be a point of conflict with them, I want them to argue about the best way to honor Steve. So much juicy material here! And I'm intrigued by this "new Captain America" concept, even though I'm wary about where they're taking it, in terms of theme... we shall have to see!
All in all, this was very standard Marvel fare. I like the characters, the action is creative and enjoyable to watch, there are some emotional gut-punches and some funny lines here and there. Nothing mind-blowing, nothing so innovative and fresh and new, but just more of the same... a same that I've come to really love over the past decade or so.

little lady bird [sebastian stan]
a repost, originally posted in my former writing blog
relationship: sebastian stan x female!reader
warnings: swearing, none; mistakes here or there
request (anon): Hi darling, can i request something where the reader and Sebastian are married and have a baby girl so she visited the set of endgame and show everyone his little lady and obviously everyone adores her, like Anthony making fun because his baby girl is such a copy of Sebastian and Chris being such an uncle also Scarlet and Elizabeth 😍🙈 Thanks 😘😘
notes: i really hope i got this good. i’ve been writing and re-writing some parts and although i am honestly happy with how this turned out, i’m hoping anon would like it, too.
summary: evelyn stan is taking the hearts by storm
Ever since you and Sebastian Stan got married, not once have you visited him on set. But now, you were missing him badly and your little daughter, Evelyn, would cry whenever she realized her daddy wasn’t around.
One night, you were alone in your bed, craving for your husband’s touch, when you heard the cries of baby Evelyn. Immediately, you rushed to her side and began to feed her some milk. She was two years old, already sleeping in her own room with protective barriers, or railings, around her bed.
“I know you miss daddy,” you said, rocking her from side to side. “I do, too, Ev. But he’s got to work and so does mommy.” You work as a teacher nearby and you drop off your daughter at your mother’s place during the day. You also liked knowing that Evelyn would be pretty close to her grandmother.
“I promise, when daddy’s work is over, we can finally spend some time together…I hope,” you said with a sigh. Sebastian’s work has begun to take a toll on him. And you were happy that he was living his dream, but you wanted to spend time with him, too. For him to spend time with your daughter. Evelyn needed her father just as much as you needed your husband. “He’ll be back and we’ll spend some quality family time together. I promise. You’ll see, Evy.”
But you knew you needed to do something. And quick.
Evelyn was getting restless without the attention of her daddy. And if you were being honest, so were you. Being alone sucked. And although you loved your daughter to the littlest bits and pieces of life, you couldn’t spend every single moment with just her.
Sebastian was only supposed to be gone a few days for the Avengers Endgame film. But there were so many delays that he’s been gone for two weeks already. That was definitely much more than the family bargained for.
He would call and message and video call you everyday, getting to see Evelyn play and sleep, whatever time he would catch her in. Evelyn would also reach for the device that you would be using when she would see her father. She would call out the name she calls him with and Sebastian would answer with his sweet, but gruff, voice.
“There’s my little lady bird,” he would say when she would see the little girl. He got that nickname when he realizes that Evelyn would sometimes sing with the birds outside your house. “Little lady bird, how are you?” And that would mark his and Evelyn’s conversation that were filled with nonsense, but still, you would record those moments with another device, just because you loved seeing father-daughter moments.
But what could you do to be able to see him again at this very moment. ‘Maybe I can go on set,’ you thought. You’ve heard of other families visiting their loved ones on set, so why couldn’t you? ‘I can get a few days off of work. Of course I’ll bring Evelyn, that’d allow mom to spend some quality time for herself, too. Yeah, I think that’ll work.’ And so you went inside your room, leaving the door open in case Evelyn needed you, to think of ways on how you can get inside the set. You did have one idea that surely wouldn’t fail.
So here you are, at the set of Avengers Endgame. With help from Sebastian’s agent, you managed to get in without any worry. Even Evelyn seemed to know where you guys were, she had an excited look in her eyes and she was facing the front rather than your chest.
“There he is,” the agent said, pointing out your husband. He was busy chatting with Elizabeth and Anthony. They were filming what they said is a wedding scene. “Would you like me to bring you guys to him?”
You shake your head. “No, it’s alright. I’d like to surprise him.” You thank the agent. With a heavy huff, you whisper to your daughter what she should do. When you reach Sebastian, he had his back turned to you.
As if on cue, Evelyn reaches out for her father’s back and cried out her name for him in a cheery, longing voice. Sebastian jumped before turning around to face you and the baby. “Evelyn!” he exclaimed. He gently cradled her face before kissing her. “My baby.” You clear your throat and smile. “And my other baby,” he said, laughing. He brings you in for a hug, careful not to squeeze the little girl in the middle. “I’ve missed you two. I can’t believe you’re here!”
You let go of him and fix Evelyn’s position on your hip. “Why?” you teased. “You hiding something from us, Mr. Stan?”
“As a matter of fact, Mrs. Stan, I am,” he replied. Your eyes widen a bit but he laughs it off. “You’re not suppose to see the ending, doll. How can it be a surprise when you watch it during the premiere?”
You roll your eyes. “You’ve already told me that it’s a wedding scene.”
Anthony and Elizabeth, who have been watching the exchange, take this time to their advantage. They’ve already met you, but not Evelyn. After they greet you, with Elizabeth giving you a half-hug, Anthony asked who the little bundle of joy is. “She looks exactly like you,” he pointed out to Sebastian.
“She does, doesn’t she?” you confirm. Chocolate brown hair, piercing blue eyes..same shaped nose, thin lips. Evelyn was a carbon copy of her father. “Seb thinks she looks like me.”
“No offense, y/n,” Anthony started, and you’ve already waved your hand as if saying “none taken”, “but she looks exactly like Sebastian Stan. Look at that! You can cover the rest of her face,” she used his hands to conceal some of the features of the baby from afar, “and all you see are her eyes, it’s very Sebastian! Very Winter Soldier.”
Sebastian rolled his eyes. “Okay, yeah, yeah, whatever.”
“What’s her name again?” Elizabeth asked. “I heard it earlier but I want to make sure. I don’t want to call her by any other.”
“Evelyn,” Sebastian replied. “Her name is Evelyn Stan.”
“Lovely name,” Elizabeth commented. “May I hold her?”
“Of course,” you said and you hand your daughter to the now red-head actress. “She’s not very fussy. She’s a good girl,” you tried convince her. Although Elizabeth is obviously good with children, you can’t help but list the qualities of Evelyn…it’s a proud mom thing. “She likes you.”
Elizabeth smiled “Oh, I hope so.” She rubbed Evelyn’s back and cooed, “Aren’t you the cutest baby ever? Oh yes you are, baby Evelyn. You’re a very beautiful baby.”
“She’s going to break hearts one day,” Anthony remarked. “And hopefully she doesn’t get her heart broken, you’re very good with guns on and off set.” He patted Sebastian’s shoulder and laughed. “But count me in if you ever need back-up.”
Sebastian smirked. “You love her already.”
“Of course!” Anthony had no reason to deny it. “She’s a very beautiful girl, made by two gorgeous and amazing people, she’d just be as awesome. Plus, she looks like you.” He laughed.
“Oh, she’s such a sweetheart,” Elizabeth said. “Look, she’s already asleep!”
“Shh,” Sebastian hushed, “she’s a very deep sleeper but who knows what will wake her up. This is a crowded area.”
Just then, Chris and Scarlett appeared from behind the three actors. Chris immediately noticed the baby and gasped. Scarlett had to look past Chris just to see the baby. Scarlett gasped as well, her hand covering her mouth.
“Oh, she’s adorable,” Scarlett said. “She’s no doubt Sebastian’s.” This earned Sebastian a “ha!” from Anthony. “What’s her name?”
“Evelyn,” you replied. “Ev or Evy for short.” You shrugged.
“Little lady bird, too,” Sebastian added. “Though that’s my nickname for her. It might feel weird if others call her that, too.” He shook his head. “Nevermind, don’t call her that.”
“Little Sebastian might be good, too,” Anthony joked.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes. “Isn’t that the horse or donkey, I forget, from Parks and Recreation?”
Chris laughed softly. “That’s Lil’ Sebastian. There’s a difference.”
“We are not calling Evelyn a nickname after a horse,” you said, “it’s like calling Renesmee Nessie, like she’s the Loch Ness Monster or something.”
Elizabeth laughed, though she tried to keep her volume at the minimal. “I didn’t know you were a Twilight fan.”
You rolled your eyes. “Am not. I just remember watching that part.”
Chris asked if he could hold Evelyn. With your permission, Elizabeth handed the baby over to Chris and you smiled at the thought that Chris was very good with kids. Evelyn must have felt the shift because she woke up. You and Sebastian made a face, scared that she’d make a fuss. But Chris rocked her and she leaned her head on his chest as if she was listening to his heartbeat.
“That’s amazing,” Anthony said.
“You’ve always been a children person,” Scarlett chimed in. “It’s a gift.”
“Children are so innocent,” Chris said, “they’re God’s gift.”
Sebastian smirked. “Stop being so dramatic.”
“I can’t help it,” Chris chuckled, “your baby girl is going to be the death of me.”
“Aww man, not you too!”
“Aren’t you glad that you’ve got people on your side when it comes to your daughter?” Anthony rested his arm on his friend’s shoulder. “I mean, come on, dude, you’ve got to admit that’s already really cool.”
Sebastian pursed his lips in thought then nodded. “It would be fun to scare off her suitors when she’s got a dad and two uncles guarding her already.”
“Oh, don’t talk about her growing up yet!” you groaned. “I want to enjoy my time with her.”
“Pretty soon, she’ll be going to prom,” Chris Hemsworth appeared, joining in on the conversation. “Oh, she’s a wonderful little gal,” he said when he laid eyes on the girl Chris Evans was holding. “Sebastian’s?”
Robert joined in and nodded. “Obviously. Look at those eyes, very piercing shade of blue.”
“Thank you for your input, Hemsworth,” you whined. “Now all I can think of is her growing up into a lady already. Ugh, she’s only two years old, guys! Let her live a little bit more before she starts worrying about boys and dating!”
“Or girls,” Scarlett added, shrugging her shoulders.
“Or girls,” you repeated and you see Scarlett smile.
There’s a tiny sound coming from young Evelyn and everyone turned to see her yawning. Chris Evans handed her back to Sebastian and he, in turn, hugs her close to his chest. “God I missed her so much.”
“We both missed you,” you said, smiling at the sight of them. You take out your phone and capture the moment. “Picture, everyone!” You walk back a bit and everyone poses for the photo. “One…two…three…everybody say ‘cheese’!”
“Cheese!” they obliged.
When everyone but you and Sebastian dispersed, you give him a small, soft smile. “When are you coming back?”
“As soon as possible. But I have an idea. Why don’t you two stay here with me first? I’m sure you took some time off from work.”
“I did, yeah. Our bags are still packed in the van, we were hoping we could stay in your hotel.”
“Babe, you’re my family, of course you’re staying in my hotel, in the very same room.”
You laughed. When your laughter died down, you looked at the sleeping baby in your husband’s arms and sigh. “How did we get so lucky?”
Sebastian grinned. “How did I get so lucky? My queen,” he gestured to you with his head, “and my princess, the little lady bird,” he lifted her a bit. “You’re both so beautiful, so amazing, I can’t live without either one of you.” He leaned down and said, “I love you, y/n.”
“I love you, too,” you said.

hola - welcome to another reaction post
Agents of SHIELD - s7ep11: Brand New Day (WARNING – SPOILERS (obviously))
-          So straight off the bat, reading the tagline, looks fun - “(in order to win against Sibyl/Nathaniel) they’ll have to get creative, and maybe even a little out of this world.” Intriguing. Looks like we could be in for some fun stuff this episode, but I’m really wondering how we’re going to turn this all around in just three episodes (counting the finale as two), so I’m guessing there’s gonna be a big thing to happen that’s gonna end it all. Like, someone’s gonna die, I’m just gonna say it, it’s gotta happen?
-          Also, because I can’t restrain myself, I have been on Tumblr and Twitter today, and I haven’t actively stopped to read what I’ve seen, but because I am rubbish at avoiding it, I have figured out that we’ve got some flashbacks this episode, which appear to have Fitz in them??? I bloody hope so gosh.
-          Right, I’m gonna start it. Deep breaths.
-          Recap, okay.
-          RIP Jiaying.
-          Deke is so oblivious but I still love him and wish that Daisy and Deke had been a thing.
-          Daisy’s been crying nooo
-          So they lost the Zephyr. (And what’s left of the Fitzsimmons fam)
-          They went to space??
-          Daisy’s gonna fight this bitch. (I know I’ve seen it already in clips but still).
-          I’m discovering it’s really hard  to type and pay attention.
-          “I wanna be an agent of SHIELD” 1. I mean, that’s the show but 2. She says with the face of “but like actually don’t trust me look at my evil grin mwhahahaha”
-          Space woowww
-          How do all these randos know how to fly the Zephyr??
-          Did Deke just make a Die Hard reference? (rhetorical, yes he did); I mean I haven’t seen the entirety of Die Hard, but I watched bits last Christmas and I’ve also watched enough B99.
-          …Motherfucker. (again actually something I learned from B99, not Die Hard)
-          Aw Mackelena babysitting
-          Proof?
-          Oh so the team’s finally learning what we learned about time in Endgame.
-          “A Brand New Day” got it
-          Bro I was gonna say that (about it’s basically Project Insight) but he said it better cos he’s Coulson and he’s cooler.
-          “My sister” look at these two
-          Ha lies I bet she’s fucking lying
-          “Sibyl said” the new version of Simon Says
-          Hold up did she just give her the keys?
-          DON’T MAKE ME WATCH THIS AGAIN
-          IT’S A FITZSIMMONS BEST BITS
-          And I’m going to cry
-          DON’T hit my BABY
-          Elizabeth’s eyebrows are to die for
-          WHAT DID THEY DO TO DEKE NO
-          Where’s she going huh
-          Look Sousa put suspenders on
-          Are they his battle suspenders
-          Cos that’s the cutest thing ever
-          I love him
-          “I ALREADY HAVE A SISTER TO SAVE HER NAME IS JEMMA SIMMONS” OMG
-          Science Daisy
-          So she’s really never flown a quinjet huh
-          “It’s your last chance to stay behind” *assertively puts on seatbelt”
-          That moment when you don’t know if it’s a cut to the next scene or Mack’s caught them
-          No wait he’s got his shotgun axe. Bitch ready to go yes.
-          Oh wait he’s telling her off.
-          No he’s agreeing.
-          Omg yes Mack
-          Where does all that water go – I’m assuming there’s a drainage system?
-          So they left Mum and Dad behind rip
-          Is Kora just in the background reading a book.
-          Protective Nana Jemma
-          Nate you never cared about ‘your old man’.
-          Sousa just leaves his seat
It’s a nice parallel to Goose in Captain Marvel
-          They have an auto-grav setting? But like, the quinjet isn’t made for space.
-          Daisy, ever the optimistic.
-          Mmmmmmspace
-          Oooof pulling the Bahrain card.
-          If May hadn’t done it, she wouldn’t have had a cool backstory, so put that in your pipe and smoke it Kora
-          Mmmmmcreepy messages through a virus in 1980s aesthetic. What a…. well… aesthetic.
-          Sassy Coulson back at it again.
-          I mean you are a fucking robot can’t you just plug yourself in or some shit; I’M NOT VERY SCIENCY OKAY
-          Oh great another “last mission” convo
-          Sounds like you will.
-          Thanks I’m crying
-          Oh wait he doesn’t remember the kiss I forgot that, shit.
-          Can’t just break a fucking window Nate, you’re gonna have to pay for that. Like literally with your own money, please and thanks, I don’t think the team brought any money with them.
-          Ooh love a good Coulson talk.
-          Honestly where would the team be without May? Dead, I think.
-          Burnt toast.
-          Did she just say Grant Ward.
-          Yes she did.
-          Ward would have been worse without Garrett? Uh I think not, not if someone had just called Child Services, and gotten him some fucking therapy.
-          “What are your intentions with Daisy?” Dad Mack coming through, “no funny business” and all that.
-          “I don’t have any intentions.” WHAT A LIE DANIEL HAHAHAHAHA YOU CRADLED HER HEAD ON YOUR LAP WHEN SHE WAS INJURED, YOU CARRIED HER BRIDAL STYLE OUT OF THAT BARN, YOU WERE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE THIS WHOLE MESS, BUT LOOKED RIGHT AT A SLEEPING, RECOVERING DAISY AND SAID “IM RIGHT WHERE I NEED TO BE”, YOU SAT AND NAPPED IN A CHAIR BY HER BEDSIDE THE ENTIRE TIME, YOU DIDN’T SAY NO WHEN SHE KISSED YOU, SO EXCUSE ME MISTER “NO INTENTIONS” BUT I THINK YOU MIGHT BE WRONG
-          “Well then you better get some” omg we stan mack even though his voice is so deep I often miss what he says
-          “omg shes like so into you gurl” is basically what I just heard. (picture 2000s american teenage girl, phone pressed to ear, chewing gum really loudly etc.)
-          “sir” HES SO POLITE
-          I’m loving this chat and its so true, every single one of them would massacre Sousa if he hurt Daisy.
-          “just like a damn comic book” ahaha haha…. ha. yep.
-          But I do love a good comic book joke in the show.
-          Wasn’t it in like s4, and Coulson said something about Daisy being Director and she was like “ha yeah maybe in the comic book version”? idk man im rewatching SHIELD because I have the worst memory but that was funny too
-          These two’s eyebrows in this scene god.
-          Honestly if you get the chance to rewatch this scene just watch Mack and Sousa’s eyebrows as they turn to look at each other it’s adorable.
-          Alright Sousa no need to be so mean I think it’s a great name.
-          These two giggling together omg the one things I didn’t know I needed.
-          19th century definitely was.
-          FINALLY SOME NEW FITZ AT LAST
-          “can you give us a moment” “yes” “…..oh”
-          What are you suggesting fitz my darling
-          …sooooooooooo….
-          Some time to have a kid maybe.. idk… grow old together…
-          What bloodwork? Did I miss a thing?
-          Snuggling Fitzsimmons ahhhhh
-          I didn’t think Kora would be so sad omg. Now I feel bad for her shit it wasn’t meant to be this way, I-
-          Fitz looks so different omg
-          Omg Fitz grabbing onto her and hugging im soft omg what a beautiful trope
-          WHO’S FITZ WTF OMG NO FUCK SHIT CRAP AHHHHHHHH
-          A kickass fight scene nice
-          Uh oh
-          Nice one May
-          “Sunshine” what an asshole
-          They’re gonna decimate everything wtf
-          Wasn’t there all those ships in the trailer
-          “quake”
-          Look at these cuties
-          Thanos could turn you to dust too.
-          SORRY too soon
-          Uhhhhhhhhhh what the fuck is happening
-          They’re just wiping out shield
-          Rip the Triskelion
-          DON’T YOU TOUCH HER LIKE THAT oh look now I’m being protective wtf is happening to me
-          Urgh absolutely disgusting
-          Well shit
Uhhhhhhh so this is problematic. I mean, by all accounts, they could just leave this timeline and go back to the OG one. I mean, there’s a canon timeline where Steve learns early that Bucky is alive, Loki has the Tesseract and Steve just told a elevator full of Hydra agents “Hail Hydra” (so a highly chaotic timeline, that the avengers just left) so they could just leave but like, that’s unethical, i guess???? Oh well.
Let’s go have a look at the new trailer for the FINALE!! ARGH omg its all ending and I’m sad
WELL im going to cry aren’t I? ffs
Daisy’s accepting that this is their last mission.
“This is what we were fighting for.” Which issss….?
It really is the end, huh.
The finale will make me cry. There’s not many SHIELD episodes that have made me do that. I think the one that made me cry the most was the spy’s goodbye. And I seem to remember crying when Fitzsimmons were at the bottom of the ocean,  and then laughing through my sobs bc the shot of Fury coming down from the helicopter, arm outstretched like Jesus was the most hilarious thing I had ever seen; but other than that? Not many.
I’m excited and terrified at the same time. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF. HELP.

Tom Hiddleston: The Ultimate Loki Stan
Anyone who knows anything about Tom Hiddleston knows that 1) he is wholly committed to researching and connecting with the characters he plays in a way that few actors do and 2) he loves Loki as much as anyone does.
So here are some of the things he's had to say about our beloved trickster:
► "I think he went, like with everything else, to—Joss Whedon and I discussed it—to a sort of... it was just, like, the worst place imaginable. I think he went to, sort of, all of the darkest recesses of the universe. I'm sure he had a brush with—several brushes with death. I think he ran into the shadiest characters you can find in the Nine Realms. I think he had to rely on his wits to protect himself. It was really, really, really unpleasant, I think. I don't have any frame of reference for that, except for imagining what it might be like to be kidnapped by a terrorist or something and have to survive a very, very frightening and precarious existence. But whatever it was, it was important when Loki came back for The Avengers, that whatever compassion he had left was absolutely shriveled to a minimum because of the experience that he had. Harrowing, I think, and scarring for life—in a way that Thor and Odin and Frigga find very, very difficult to understand." [x]
► "Loki is someone, as I built him, that I found interesting because his villainy—his bad-guy credentials—come from an emotional heartbreak. If Thor is the quarterback, Loki is the artist. So he has a disposition to a kind of... gifts that are suited to his mercurial intellect, his tactician's brain. He's sort of got a very curious mind. But then, as you see in the first film, he finds out that the narrative of his entire life is a lie. That he was the adopted son of Asgard's mortal enemy. That he was left out in the cold to die. He's not Thor's brother. He's not Odin's son. That sense of betrayal is what kind of calcifies and hardens his heart into something very malevolent. And because I started with that, I love him. You know? I see his... I see his pain. He's just someone who's like, tipped over into the dark side. He's far gone in his desire for vengeance, and gratifying those dark instincts." [x]
► "I feel like Thor: The Dark World is a chance as an actor to find new depth, new dimension, new iterations of Loki’s psychology, of his physicality and his capacity for feeling. On one level, he is an off-the-rails, psychopathic agent of chaos, but on a human level, his psychology and his emotional landscape is very, very interesting because he’s so intelligent and yet so broken. This film is a chance to find where his capacity for heroism and his Machiavellian menace meet." [x]
► "It’s interesting because he does care, sometimes too much. I believe he likes to think he doesn’t, but there are moments when he lets his guard down, and you can see how affected he is by a few simple words."
► "The opposite of love isn't, in fact, hate; it's indifference and that love and hate are united by passion. And Loki hates Thor, which means he must—in his heart—still love Thor."
► "I think—perhaps for the first time since Loki discovered his true lineage—you see him authentically show his emotions. It was really important to me with Loki that having been the antagonist—a character who's always in control of his emotions, who's charming and playful and a master manipulator, a chess master with people—that we break him down, spiritually. And Frigga's death is something that shatters him."
And here's a bonus quote on the nature of Loki—specifically in regards to his sacrifice in Thor: The Dark World—from Kevin Feige, in whom I'm eternally disappointed for not doing a better job of protecting Loki when it came around to Thor: Ragnarok.
► "This is the kid we first meet alongside his brother, being told by his father, that they are both born to be kings. And then he quickly learned that’s not true. Not only that’s not true—you are not really an Asgardian. You are not even the son of Odin. You belong to this hated and despised species. And he has a misguided attempt to try to win the love of his father back. His father rightfully rejects it and he ends up letting go and plummeting himself into the abyss. The Avengers is all about his grandstanding and this is an attempt to get a throne somewhere else. We meet him at the beginning of The Dark World. He is lost and he is a broken man. He is able to spin events, without ever really lying to his brother, without ever actually betraying his brother, into what he's always wanted, which is sitting on the throne and saving his brother."

hi I love your blog so much as a tony stan and winteriron hoe i am living for it, i was wondering, do you have any fic recs for angsty de-aged tony fics? There doesn’t have to be a pairing involved. again I love your blog and HCs so much 💞💜💖💛❤️💞
Omg, I love you. I’m so happy that you like my blog! So I absolutely love the kid!Tony ideas, but I’ve only read a few that I really enjoy. I know someone was writing a Kid!Tony fic based on my HCs and they had an awesome title picked out, but I don’t know whatever happened to them. If I read anymore then I’ll add them to the list!
Play Date by Akira_of_the_Twilight
“Forgive me, Captain,“ FRIDAY said. "I needed a moment to be certain I hadn’t erred, but based on my facial recognition systems, I can safely say that Mr. Barnes and Mr. Wilson have located Tony.”
“What the fuck?” Bucky rose to his feet.
The kid tried to run, but Sam caught the rugrat and restrained him.
“Let me go!” The kid struggled. “My dad isn’t going to pay any ransom. You’re just wasting your time.”
Ransom? Facial recognition?
Bucky stared at the kid—really looked at his face.
Amber eyes, oval face, olive skin, strong but narrow chin, a slightly larger than normal forehead, and a nose somewhere between small and medium in size.
“Oh, fuck. Tony?”
The tears were back in Tony’s eyes. “Fuck you, you assholes!” He wiggled one arm free and punched Sam in the kneecap.
Put Away Childish Things by arsenicarcher (Arsenic)
Tony and Clint are captured by villains who can only get what they want from a child-Tony. So, obviously, they de-age him. Because comics.
Purple Fleece and Honey by Morethancupcake
"Protecting Tony Stark is like keeping an open fire in the palm of his hand. It’s like fighting the rain. It keeps him alive, in a way.”
All it takes is a tiny Tony, and suddenly being right doesn’t seem important anymore.

Childhood is the Kingdom Where Nobody Dies by MemoryDragon
Seven-year-old Tony Stark wakes up on a Hydra base, lost, afraid, and alone. He has to overcome his fears before it’s too late for the Avengers and Captain America.
Aliens really are out to get you aren’t they? by Some_sort_of_trash
Neither Peter Parker nor Tony Stark are known for having the best of luck. To normal people, an alien targeting specifically one person is enough to make you wonder if maybe you have done something to piss off several galaxies. Peter? He’s just glad that at least this turn of events is cute. Weirder things have happened.ORTony is temporarily turned into a toddler for a glorious 48 hours and Peter takes it upon himself to take care of him.
When We Were Smaller by 27dragons
Originally a prompt fill for the imaginetonyandbucky blog on tumblr, in response to these prompts:- Imagine a BAMF kid!Tony and a dangerous/protective!Bucky (the how, where and why can be your design) trying to get back home/to the Avengers/some place safe. -Anonymous- I don’t know if your ask box is still closed, but I just wanted to ask for the idea before I forget it- imagine Tony gets deaged to maybe 4 or something and that’s how Bucky first meets him and no one tells him that he is supposed to be a forty-something year old man, so when one day this guy with a glowing chest whose smokin hot comes walking in and Bucky asks who he is, Tony tells him he’s the four year old he’s been hanging out with for the last few weeks. Maybe you could give poor little Tony daddy problems- cuz he definitely has them- or make him really shy or quiet or something -lover-of-the-green-eyed-god
*** BONUS***
Kidding Around by MusicalLuna
Tony may not be the most self-aware guy in the world, but there are a few things he knows:
1. Iron Man and Tony Stark are one and the same,2. he’d make a terrible father,3. and his teammates don’t trust him.
So naturally, he’s the only man left standing when Loki ages them all back to toddlers.
This is going to go well.

Okay! Time for a slightly longer Avengers: Endgame thoughts post!
First, I do really, really like the film overall, so let’s get that out of the way right now: I had moments of wanting to cheer, tearing up, all that, and I want to see it again immediately.
Having said that...I do have Some Thoughts, which are not 100% positive.
Spoiler warnings, obviously! Only read if you’ve seen/don’t mind spoilers!
First, the AWESOME. OH MY GOD SO MUCH AWESOME.
--STEVE IS WORTHY OH HELL YES *screams in delight* And Thor’s genuine excitement about this! So perfect!
--STEVE ROGERS STANDING ON THAT BATTLEFIELD FACING DOWN THANOS’S WHOLE ARMY. This is a brilliant Steve Rogers character moment, it’s a brilliant narrative moment, it’s a gorgeous shot visually, it’s EVERYTHING -
--AND THEN EVERYONE ELSE SHOWING UP AT HIS BACK, YES YES YES, I WANTED TO CHEER AND CRY, LOOK AT THEM ALL TOGETHER AND FORMING UP BEHIND STEVE AND “AVENGERS ASSEMBLE” AND *screams more*
--Valkyrie getting to be king! She already has ideas for change! It’s a small moment but so satisfying, seeing where she is now versus her introduction in Ragnarok.
--”AMERICA’S ASS”
--actually everything about that Steve-on-Steve fight scene, Chris Evans’ delivery of every single line, the name-drop of Bucky being what worked
--I actually really love pretty much all the time hops, and Tony going with “Howard Potts” as his alias is both hilarious and heartwarming
--Morgan! Tony being a Good Dad! 3000!
--cheeseburgers, oh god my heart, this moment actually made me tear up
--Tony’s death felt well-earned, satisfying, and in-character, and that “I am Iron Man” - oh god yes, see above about in-character and also heartwarming and heartwrenching simultaneously
--Sebastian Stan continues to be very pretty
--Thor doesn’t magically get his old pirate-angel body back - I have a LOT of other less positive thoughts about this representation, which we’ll get into in a sec - the thing is, I do like this one aspect of it, because he doesn’t need to be magically “healed” of his fatness or anything like that; he’s chubby and damn heroic and still good at being a hero, and speaking as someone who always struggles with weight, that was actually really lovely
--Paul Rudd continues to be weirdly superhumanly likeable
--Gamora’s reaction to Star-Lord
--Nebula! Karen Gillan is fantastic throughout, and so central to the storyline
--Sam taking the shield! I love this - Bucky’s tired of the fight, which Steve knows; Sam has the heart and the will, and he deserves it, and Bucky’s clearly fine with that, and I’m so excited to see Sam Wilson as Cap
--just everything overall felt so fulfilling, like, yes, this is good, thank you, MCU, thank you
The Ambivalent (sure, yeah, okay)
--Clint and Nat: I actually really like Nat’s choice and sacrifice, doing it knowingly, and it also feels in-character for her as a dedicated protector; I don’t quite get why we’re pushing Clint to the forefront so much in this movie when he’s been so absent, and I dislike the implication that he somehow has more to live for because he’s got a biological family, versus Nat’s found family
--Thor’s killing of Thanos and the “I went for the head” and also the arm - yeah, look, you learned something! But also...it really just makes you *not* doing that in Infinity War seem...even dumber. But at least you learned, I guess?
--the Girl Power(tm) moment in the final battle. You know, the super-unsubtle obvious shot. Like, part of me went YES!! and another part of me cringed because WOW, that felt...not at all organic and incredibly staged
--Steve Rogers part one: I don’t actually mind that he took a side trip and saw Peggy and got some closure. It’s a nice nod to the end of First Avenger. And I love Steve getting to retire - not die - as Cap: he can still do so much as himself, maybe art or activism or support groups or all of the above, and he deserves a chance to find out who Steve Rogers is when not Captain America. Having said that, this is ambivalent because I really don’t like how it was done. More on that later.
--I love that Harley showed up at Tony’s funeral, but at first neither I nor Awesome Husband knew who the random person even was. We figured it out, but if you don’t know, it’s really unclear
--Carol. She’s wonderful and amazing in every scene she’s in, but also...weirdly...underused. Were they afraid she was too powerful?
--maybe I’m just kinda over Chris Pratt, I don’t know, but a lot of his dialogue didn’t land right for me? Clunky. Trying too hard to be funny? Maybe.
--I don’t really understand how time travel works in the MCU, but whatever, let’s just roll with it
--Loki! Fantastic to see again, also underused, but I’m very curious to see what’s next
The Not So Positive
--ALL the Thor fat jokes. This is a big one, and it pulled me out of the movie as I was watching it, as this kept happening. It’s obviously a serious manifestation of his trauma and PTSD, and yet pretty much every single character cracks a joke, and no one actually tries to support him. I’m...not a fan of that. (Side note: having just rewatched Infinity War, there’re fat jokes there too, about Quill. Do the writers/directors have an issue with fatness?)
--after Nat dies, there’s a whole lot of scenes of Rooms Full of Only Dudes, and Primarily White Dudes, at that, directing the narrative
--speaking of, how about a memorial service for Nat?
--Steve Rogers part two. (We’ll get to Steve and Bucky in the next point; this one’s about the time travel.) Like I said above, I don’t mind him wanting to take a side trip and get closure; he deserves that. And if I’m understanding MCU time travel right, he created an alternate branch, so “our” reality still all happened and everything. So. My first problem here is that we can assume he spent that alternate reality still Being A Hero - fighting evil, saving Bucky, getting into a happy triad of Steve/Peggy/Bucky if you want to imagine that - but we’re not shown any of that. We’re shown him...suddenly pining a lot for Peggy, which feels odd anyway: part of Steve’s arc has been him finding his place in this new century and his new found family. And then we’re just shown the dance. SHOW US STEVE AS A HERO IN ALL TIMELINES, PLEASE. But I digress. If this is a branching timeline, the way Steve shows back up on the bench shouldn’t work. He shouldn’t just live through all the years and wander over to the bench at the right time, because he’s not in the right timeline for that. (Maybe there’s something we’re not shown, like him tinkering with his time travel GPS? If that’s the case it needed to be much clearer.) There’s also no particular reason he needs to get or stay old (maybe he wants to experience aging, idk?) - we’ve established that we can de-age, for example, Scott. And Steve Rogers is a stubborn kid who will always want to be able to fight whatever might be coming - even if he’s still retiring as Cap, doesn’t he want another few decades with his current family - Bucky, Sam, Clint, Morgan Stark, everybody? Now he’s...much older than everyone, physically and mentally, and I guess that can still work but...it’s going to be a whole strange adjustment for him and for everyone...but anyway, the time travel as it’s shown seems to...break their own rules, and also I don’t like how suddenly emphasized his desire for Peggy is in this film, and I don’t like having to just sort of...guess about what Steve does in that timeline. (Also, side note: why is *only* Steve returning all the stones? Wouldn’t having a partner be helpful? In case things go wrong, as things so often do? AS WE’VE SEEN IN THIS VERY MOVIE.)
--STEVE AND BUCKY. This is the other big one. We all know I am a Steve/Bucky fan, but honestly I’m not even factoring that in here. It’s not about shipping. It’s about the fact that Steve’s narrative arc, Steve’s character arc, has been so entwined with Bucky up to now - and here they barely interact. The person Steve lost - the person Steve keeps losing - is Bucky. The person Steve shares memories of couch cushions and moving in together and Sarah Rogers’ name with - is Bucky. We’ve had to the end of the line, we’ve had even when I had nothing I had Bucky, we’ve had (paraphrasing here, I know it’s not an exact quote) he said Bucky’s name and suddenly I was a kid in Brooklyn again, we’ve had all of Winter Soldier and the relevant parts of Civil War, we’ve established over and over, canonically, that Steve and Bucky save each other. Bucky knows Steve even through brainwashing. Steve fights to save and protect Bucky. They love each other. (Friends love each other. It’s okay to show that.) They sacrifice for each other. And that relationship - in a film that’s meant to be a culmination, a wrapping-up, and closure for Steve Rogers - is almost entirely absent. And I’m not okay with that, emotionally and also as a narrative choice for Steve’s arc - like, as a writer (and English professor!) myself, this legitimately bothers me. I don’t feel fulfilled and I don’t feel happy about it. Especially not - as in the article I reblogged a bit ago - when we’re given other reunions, like Tony’s joy at getting “the kid!” back, with real pathos. I know the film’s already over three hours, choices have to be made, etc. But we could’ve had fewer fat jokes and a few more seconds of Steve and Bucky interacting, y’know? I just...I don’t like it. It doesn’t feel good or right.
Okay! Those are my thoughts.
Once again, I really really like the movie overall, and overall I am left happy and wanting to watch it again. That’s true. There’re just...some things.
I may or may not attempt to write my fix-it fic. There are so many already and I’m not sure what I could add that’s new, and I think I still don’t understand MCU time travel. But I also really want to deal with some of these emotions. We’ll see.

With Malekith Defeated, Thor Returns To Asgard To Tell His Father, Odin That While He Will Protect The Nine Realms Till His Last Breath, He Cannot Be King Because He Would Rather Be A Great Man Than A Great King...
Giving Odin Mijonir, He Tells Thor That Mijonir Belongs To Him So Long As He Is Worthy, However, Odin Is Unable To Give Thor His Blessing, But Simply Tells Him To Go...
As Thor Leaves, We Get A Surprise As Odin Transforms Into Loki...
Tumblr media
Allow Me To Explain, While Thor And Jane Reunited With Selvig, Darcy And Her Assistant, Odin Was Visted By A Guard Who Went To Svartalfheim And Discovered Loki's Body And It's Actually Revealed Here That The Guard Was Loki, Who Survived His "Death" On Svartalfheim...
As The Credits Roll We Get A Mid Credits Scene, With Sif And Volstagg On A Planet We Would Come To Know Later As Knowhere Where They Meet With The Collector (Played By Benicio Del Toro) To Give Him The Aether As The Tesseract Is On Asgard And It Is Unwise To Have 2 Infinity Stones In The Same Place...
After More Credits Roll We Get An End Credits Scene Where Thor Returns To Earth And Reunites With Jane (Or So We Think!) That Is Not Natalie Portman In This Scene, That Is Elsa Pataky, Wife Of Thor Himself, Chris Hemsworth (Yeah It's Natalie In The Apartment But Outside It's Entirely Elsa)
Why?
Well, Apparently Natalie Portman Was Told That She Was Working With Patty Jenkins On The Movie But When Patty Dropped Out Of Directing The Movie And They Were Passed To Game Of Thrones Director Alan Taylor, Natalie Was Pissed And Didn't Want To Do The Picture...
Tumblr media
However, Being Under Contract She Had To Do It...
But After The Picture Was Done Filming, They Asked Her To Come Back To Do The End Credits Scene And Natalie Said Screw You To Marvel So, Instead Marvel Got Hemsworth's Fast And Furious Wife In A Brown Wig...
Tumblr media
This Movie Is...Okay....
While Not The Best Entry In The Thor Movies, I Wasn't Bored, The Action Scenes Were Good And Both Hemsworth And Hiddleston Did Great, I Thought Kat Dennings Was Funny At Times (Despite People Believing Her To Be Again, The Jar Jar Binks Of The Thor Movies And I'm Glad They're Bringing Her Back For The WandaVision Show On Disney +) And Some Of The Other Actors Like Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo And Jaimie Alexander Did Good In Their Roles....
But Again Like Iron Man 3 The Problem Is The Bad Guy...
Where On The Mandarin They Royally F-ed Up, This Villain Is Boring And Doesn't Have Enough Character Development With Him To Even Give A Crap About What He's After But Aside From That, I Say See This Movie...
Till Next Time, This Is Duke, Signing Off...
