My brother's wedding is less than 3 weeks away, and I've managed to go from a size 18 to a size 14 in the dress I'm going to wear. When I look at myself in the mirror all I can think of is DON'T SCREW THIS UP. You haven't arrived at the weight you need to be, and there's definitely absolutely no room for error. Any slip up and you'll go from being comfy to potatoey. So every meal choice is a conscience decision of my goals instead of going on a craving whim. Every workout is also a deliberate choice to mold the body I want. It's nothing I can't control. So in the end, I have nothing to lose except for weight. You got this, girl. *end self motivational chat*

Instead of thinking I have an overwhelming total of 80 pounds to lose, I think 1 pound at a time. Just whittle away 1 pound. So far 3 weeks in completed and on week 4 and I’ve lost 9.5. Chipping away at those milestones and making changes, 1 pound at a time. *self high five*

TLDR: a carnivore eats veggies in support of my weight loss journey🍅
This was me today. I got out of work and was already hankering for the last 5 hours of my IF feeding window. And then my Pops says, "I haven't eaten lunch. Wanna come eat with me?" Now typically this invitation would send me spinning with glee thinking of all the foods I wanna eat. But as of these last 3 weeks I haven't eaten out at fast food places/restaurants, at least if not out of obligation which is pretty minimal. And that's when he suggested Souplantation. Now mind you my Pops is a major carnivore. The last time he ate a vegetable was 2 weeks ago which coincidentally was his last trip to Souplantation. 🤣Hahahaha So bad. But ya, he sacrificed his disdain for veggies so I could eat and because I "have been putting in the effort and it shows. And if this somehow contributes to that, then I'm happy to help." I was crying inside when he kept cringing as he munched away at the taste of pickled beets. Hahaha I love my Pops.😂😭

SPILL THE TEA: Everyone keeps asking me if it’s hard to eat clean, and quite frankly, it isn’t. I am not depriving myself of food…just excluding myself from fatty unhealthy foods. What really pains me is the intermittent fasting portion of my “diet”. After 7pm there is strictly no solids. My feeding window is permanently closed til morning, and only water and a cuppa unsweetened tea can be consumed. But oh what I wouldn’t give for some honey, sugar, stevia, ANYTHING to sweeten up this flavored water. But as the saying goes, a moment on the lips, forever on the hips. Cheers!

SW: 215 lbs CW: 207.5 In the first two weeks of attempting a clean lifestyle, I had so much frustration to deal with. There was no gym or trainer to push me along. There was no master chef cooking my meals. I had to control my own accountability issues both in the gym and kitchen. I pushed myself to meet minimum goals to kickstart my body out of its sedentary practically mummified state and made my own meals (thankfully without burning down my kitchen). On top of that I had to deal with spectators speaking their mind on my ‘journey’. I am in week 3 (day 18) and am deaf/dead in the ears to the saboteurs offering cheat meals and skipping workouts to do something less productive. I am doing everything in my power to stay dead inside to useless outsider comments. If you’re not walking by my side, then step aside. Every day is all about consistency: sweaty intense workouts and meals crafted at home. That’s it. Nothing fancy or elaborate. Just good old fashioned determination and work put in. Whether you think or can or you can’t, you’re right. Set your own bar and surpass it. 7.5 down…37.5 to go.

I used to complain about summer, but now that I am determined more than ever to lose weight and maintain it off, I welcome the sweltering heat and the sweat it brings. My goal in every summer workout is to be drenched in my own perspiration. Like Cardi B says, "drippin with finesse." Okurrrr.
