stan marsh hcs: his s.o having depression

note: characters are in college for this set of hcs - i'm really feeling down currently, hence the horrible hiatus. but this helped so thanks for requesting anon :,)

when he first finds out, he's pretty surprised.

he came over one day, unannounced, only to find you still in bed and staring at the ceiling.

you were having a particularly harder time getting out of bed than usual, your depression being the one to blame. it felt easier to just stay in bed, so you did.

your room was a mess: empty dishes piled on your desk, clothes strewn across the floor, a pile of laundry sat on your chair waiting to be dealt with, and your curtains weren't even drawn properly. only a line of light escaped the blackout curtains.

"Y/N?" he was taken aback by you and your room

it finally clicks in his mind how horrible it feels to see the person you love be in this state

he's able to empathise with you

and he'll do whatever it takes to help you

i can see him trying to help you get out the house more if you're prone to staying inside, even if he's running an errand and you stay in the car. he's happy for you to accompany him, and his heart swells if you ask to join before he offers

if you want physical affection to feel better, he'll happily give it

will rub your back reassuringly when you hug/cuddle

i feel like he's very strong on words of affirmation, both giving and receiving, so he'd definitely reassure you everything is going to be okay

because it is. everything is alright and will work out fine :)
