“Your hands are cold,” was the first thing Malleus said to you upon arriving at your door. He had held out his hand, wanting you to hold on to it as he whisked the both of you away for your date, but it was cold. It felt as if you had dunked your hands in a basin of freezing water before you came out. Maybe he shouldn’t have asked you to walk around campus. It snowed earlier that day and Lilia had informed him that it would only get colder on your walk. “Should we stay inside? I don’t want you to freeze.”

You shook your head and laughed. “I’ll just get some gloves from Sam’s store. I forgot to get some when I went there today.

“But your hands…” Malleus trailed off. His eyebrows furrowed as he tried to think of a solution. He could give you his own gloves but wouldn’t it be too big on you? He would also have to keep his own hands within his cloak to prevent them from freezing as well but then he wouldn’t be able to hold your hand properly. Well, it would only be until you get to the shop, right? He could also make some for you. It would only be temporary but it would give your hands some warmth.

“I have an idea.” You held out your hand. “Give me one of your gloves.

Confused but curious enough to listen, Malleus gave you one of his gloves. You smiled in satisfaction as you pulled it on. Your fingers couldn’t reach the end and the wrist seemed to be loose on you, but you didn’t seem to mind as you grabbed his gloveless hand with yours before shoving it in the pocket of your puffy jacket.

Malleus couldn’t help but smile. It was a simple idea, a little stupid, but an entertaining one. “So do we stay like this until we get to the shop

You nodded, a grin on your face as you shut the door behind you. “Yup! Now, let’s go before it gets colder.”

Listen, Rollo goes through enough of a crisis already over the fact that he likes you, one of those insufferable Night Raven College students who use magic so carelessly and gaze at it with wonder and excitement. But you flirting with him? He goes through all 5 stages of grief over that.

Up to the point where you start actively teasing him, Rollo does a good job at convincing himself that the reason he’s just particularly fixated on you of all the NRC students, is because he just hates you the most. Nevermind the way his heart skips a beat when you smile at him while touring the City of Flowers before he revealed his true colors to you. How you had invited him to sit with you and share some local food as you exchanged experiences and thoughts. 

He tries to ignore the way his heart is beating faster when he sees you at the Masquerade Ball. He tells himself it’s likely just that he’s anxious about not having succeeded with his plan. He pushes down the idea of kissing you breathless and being held in your arms gently as you run your hands through his hair and kiss his forehead- 

God, what am I thinking…they’re my enemy, he thinks to himself. With a hateful expression he makes his way over to you, determined to tell you how he’s not done yet and one day he’ll erase magic from this very world. That you’ll fear his name and- oh god you’re winking at him. 

He’s blushing furiously but he still has that angry expression on his face, so it just looks a little like Riddle when it’s off with your head. His mind is going haywire though. They winked at me…oh no…oh fuck…abort immediately, he decides to just avoid you and glare at you from a distance but at this point it is too late. A certain hunter had already told you how Rollo had been staring at you this entire evening whenever you weren’t looking and that he “probably wanted to have a dance with you”

So you make your way over to him and ask him. His heart skips a beat and he wants to reject you and tell you off but what he wants even more is to indulge you and have a nice evening with you. “What makes you think I’d want to dance with you?”, he spits out and crosses his arms. Yeah. That’ll work. Good job, Rollo.

“I don’t know, you seem pretty desperate”, you shrug, trying to suppress a smirk. The AUDACITY, he thinks but can’t say anything in response, just taking your hand and starting to dance with you. He remains silent and you poke his cheek. “You can be so cute when you stop being cranky for two minutes”, you tease and he can feel his cheeks burning. At this point you’re well aware that he’s got a little crush on you, because against his own perception of things, he wasn’t exactly subtle. 

He looks after you with rage written on his face and confusion in his heart as you and the other NRC students leave to head back to your own school. That’s all he can do. Watch you leave.

What did he care anyway? You were just an obnoxious magic enthusiast who-

He looks at the mirror in shock when he notices the soft smile on his face upon seeing your note. He hates magic so much. But maybe…maybe he could make an exception for you and you only. 

Definitely rants to the gargoyles about how much he hates you and the way your eyes sparkle in the sun and how your laugh sounds like a thousand beautiful symphonies. Yeah he definitely hates you, no doubt.

He sometimes posts about school events on his Magicam and on pictures he’s on he tends to find little compliments from you. This makes his day every single time but god forbid anyone notices.

He eventually starts conversing with you over text, having quite a few long conversations and bonding despite how much he wants to deny it. You’re still flirting with him shamelessly and never miss out on wishing him a good night with a heart emoji attached. He sends one back once or twice, claiming his hand slipped on the keyboard.

When he sees you again, at the culture festival, he sits at the table with you and a couple of your friends. You ask him whether he is going to watch the VDC and he insists he sees no reason in watching a singing competition. “I mean we could always go backstage and kiss for a while if you’d prefer that”, you say nonchalantly and so casually, it makes Rollo choke on his drink. The other students at the table are definitely staring at you two and Rollo wishes he could merge with the ground at this moment.

He pulls you aside after the incident to a hallway where there’s no people. “What the hell did you think you were doing?”, he hisses at you and clutches onto his handkerchief until his knuckles turn white. “I apologize for putting you on the spot”, you say sincerely, “you look pretty when you’re flustered, though.” “Do you ever shut up?”, his breath hitches in his throat. 

“If you take me up on my offer I would”, you wink at him and find yourself with Rollo’s lips on yours within seconds. As soon as he gets to kiss you, the very thing he had been longing for for months now, it’s like a switch flips in his brain. His kiss is fiery and aggressive at first but then melts into your touch just like he had wanted for so long, kissing you softly as he feels his hands shake. He feels you smile into the kiss upon noticing how gentle and loving he is now and Rollo holds onto you, resting his head against your shoulder breathlessly as soon as the kiss was over. Both of you remain silent for a while before Rollo speaks quietly, his voice shaking: “I love you.” 

You chuckle and pat his head. “I know”, you kiss his forehead gently and he closes his eyes.

Rollo hated magic, he knew that much. But somehow every moment with you felt so magical and made him so happy…

Azul is used to people being mean to him and also to casual, neutral interactions but never has anyone been so blatantly verbally affectionate with him and this man doesn’t know how to handle it. 

It all started when he had asked you to come to the Mostro Lounge VIP room as Valentine’s Day was getting closer, because several people had declared that they were ready to sign a contract with him if he could get them a date with you. So he presented the terms to you and offered you help in a class you were bad at. He didn’t think you’d accept so easily. 

“So, let me get this straight, all I’d have to do for this is to go on a date with one of those guys involved in the whole contract thing with you?”, you raised an eyebrow and Azul nodded, extending his hand to you to seal the deal, as you had blatantly refused to sign a contract. But that didn’t matter. After all, he’d already get what he wanted from whoever you would pick to go on a date with. You shook his hand and Azul smiles at you. “Well then, shall I show you who was ready to make a contract with me for your company?”, he showed you his typical business smile and you just replied dryly. “That won’t be necessary. I’ve already picked.”

Azul was confused. “But you don’t even know who asked?”, he raised an eyebrow and threw Jade and Floyd a questioning glare. They didn’t seem to know what was going on either. “I said ‘someone involved in the whole contract thing’”, you reminded him, “do you have any plans on Friday?” Azul’s face fell. He was already blushing and glaring at the twins who were snickering quietly. “No?”, he croaked and pushed his glasses back with his eyes widened. “Great!”, you smiled at him and got up, waving him goodbye, “I’ll see you at 8 then? I’ll pick you up at Mostro Lounge!” 

As soon as you had closed the door behind you, Jade and Floyd started wheezing uncontrollably. “What just happened?”, Jade asked under his breath, “did they just scam you into a date?” Azul’s expression darkened, as did his blush. “I DON’T KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED”, his voice cracked and he wanted to curl up in his octopus pot, “stop laughing.”

Once you've learnt of his past, you've become much more gentle and less teasing with your flirting. He deserved the reassurance that you were serious and genuinely liked him. You’d often tell him that you thought he looked nice when he wore a new outfit and complimented him for his achievements in class and his business strategies. You even went as far as to tell him that his octopus form probably looked cute. He just didn’t know what to do with you. 

Upon being asked whether you were trying to make fun of him, you looked into his eyes with a serious expression and told him you meant everything you had said to him. 

As he took you and your friends to the Atlantica Memorial Museum to return the elementary school photo, Grim was excited. “Maybe we’ll bring back some sort of treasure from the ocean!”, he exclaimed. “But we already have Azul”, you insisted and the octopus merman blushed immediately. “Please just stop”, he begged and sighed, although your words definitely made him feel good, “not in front of people…”

Over such a short time he had already learnt to expect your flirting. That didn’t mean it made him any less flustered. 

Once you had returned the photo and had a moment alone with him, you took his hands into yours and told him you were proud of how far he had come. Azul squeezed your hand gently, a silent ‘thank you’ for the love and affection you were so ready to give to him after all of his hardships.

Malleus doesn’t actively recognize your flirting as such. Don’t get me wrong, he’s so on board with this and really flattered but until you tell him directly what you feel for him, he still assumes you just see him as a good friend.

“Shall I give you a blessing?”, he smirks as he asks you this question on your birthday. You cup his face gently. “You’re my blessing, Malleus”, you say with a soft smile on your face and Malleus looks at you with his signature surprised expression. Lilia chuckles, mumbling about how bold you are. Malleus is just awestruck. He doesn’t know what to say at first. He’s blushing and then takes your hands in his. “Thank you. I feel honored. It means a lot to me to hear that”, he says genuinely and his thumb brushes over your hand softly.

Malleus loves your little affections so much. He didn’t know how starved he was for them until he experienced them for the first time. He treasures so much how ready you are to speak your mind, especially when it comes to telling him how you feel about him. Little does he know that’s only a small part of how much you truly love him. 

You were a little late to the Masquerade Ball during the student exchange meeting, eventually opening the big door to the entrance hall of Noble Bell College for your big entrance. Malleus spots you almost immediately, marveling at how beautiful you looked, dressed up for the occasion. Your eyes meet his across the hall and you make your way over to him straight away, taking his hand in yours. “I really like this song they’re playing right now. I think it’s time for our first dance of the evening”, you smirk at him, just waiting for him to follow you. Sebek is yelling at you how you could possibly have the audacity to not just assume you could dance with him but not even ask Prince Malleus Draconia ‘Would you please share a dance with me?’ first. But Malleus adores when you’re bold. After all this time of people being too afraid to even talk to him, he’s fascinated how assured you are to approach him with your wishes and requests with no hesitation. 

“You seem quite determined”, he chuckles and leads you to the dancefloor. He’s absolutely relishing in the fact that you walked into this event dead-set on getting a dance with him, implying your upcoming dance wouldn’t be the last one that night either. It makes him feel so special. More than the treatment he receives from others as a prince does. Because it feels like you have seen right through him, accepted every part of him and decided you wanted all of it. 

You dance through the evening with Malleus, telling him how much you liked the song he presented as a gift for the other students. “I could listen to your voice for hours”, you brush a strand of hair out of his face and Malleus leans into your touch. “I would gladly sing for you again. You need only ask”, he smirks. 

You later stop by his room, knocking on the door softly. Malleus opens it, having taken off the heavier, pompous parts of his masquerade outfit; now only dressed in a pair of black pants and the see-through black shirt worn under the complex and ornate fabrics of the costume. His hair is slightly disheveled and he has his bangs pushed up, letting you see his dragon markings. Upon seeing you, he instantly smiles. “You look so beautiful”, you mouth, making Malleus chuckle and smirk at you. “So do you”, he insists. “I’m never going to overshadow the talking gargoyle but I’ve made peace with that”, you sigh and step into the room, Malleus closing the door behind you. He laughs at your comment, then gazes out of the window. 

“The night in the City of Flowers seems to show a different expression than during the day”, he says and turns to you, seeing you smile at him with a mischievous expression, “that face…you are also interested?” His smirk matches yours now. “Malleus, what do you think I came here for at this hour, hmm?”, you chuckle, pulling out a map from your pocket, “so…you can teleport us out of Noble Bell College without being seen right?” Malleus puts his hands onto his hips. “Nothing easier than that.”

After you explored the city at night, you end up sitting at the roof of a tall building, looking down on the beautiful city. “I’m very glad I got to share these memories with you”, Malleus takes your hand in his again and you look into his eyes, cupping his cheek gently. “You’re so precious to me…you have no idea”, you mumble quietly, smiling at him fondly; filled with unconditional love. Malleus squeezes your hand and looks at you with the same expression. “I think I’m starting to understand”, he whispers as the sun rises on the horizon.

Malleus loves when you’re bold with your flirting, he loves when you show your teasing side and flatter him with a clever line. But he just as much craves the moments when you’re calm and serious, just smiling at him and letting him know how much he means to you, even if he doesn’t know yet whether you intend for it to be romantic or see him as a good friend. “Malleus, what’s up? You usually aren’t super active around this time… Sorry I’m not dressed very properly.” You brushed your hair out of your face with your hand, leaning your other hand against the frame of your front door. Malleus stood in front of you, towering. “I apologize… If I came here too late. I can return tomo—“ “Don’t worry about it.” Your smiling face turned to surprise. “Hey… You’re all fancy looking. And you’ve got… Flowers?” Malleus turned his face away subtly at your question. “Yes, they’re for you.” “Oh, really?” You grinned at him, a bit mischievously. “That’s really nice of you. I’ll make sure to take care of them, okay?” After Malleus handed you bouquet, you swiftly entered your house again to put them in a vase. While you were pouring the water, you gestured your head to him saying, “Hey, what’re you doing still outside? You can come in, you know.” He was taken aback a by this, but quickly regained his composure. “Ah… You’re right. Pardon my intrusion then.” You chuckled a bit, amusedly. “What’s wrong, Malleus? You’ve been acting kind of weird, you know?” Malleus turned his head a little to the side, his hand against his chin. “Have I? I’ve been feeling strangely… Ah.” His face of contemplation turned to surprise. “Is something…” You started, then bore the same look as him. “The water…!” Quickly you turned off the faucet, the vase overflowing. “My hands are all wet too now… Well, that was embarrassing.” You paused, quietly placed the flowers into the vase. You then turned to face Malleus, your eyebrows raised, the slightest glint in your expression. “Oh, that’s right!! Malleus!!” “—Whatever is the matter, y/n?” Malleus folded his arms, his diamond green eyes flashing in confusion. “Well, to be blunt, you’ve been acting kind of weird ever since you arrived!! Not in a bad way, of course!” You said excitedly, without any maliciousness in your voice, almost like a child playing detective. “Have I? I suppose I’ve merely been… Preoccupied. I apologize if I’ve been making you uncomfortable.” You looked at him, still a bit suspicious, but decided to take his word for it. You looked back at the flowers, delicately arranging them. “If you say so, Malleus.” He shifted his sight to the flowers as well, spacing out a bit. “Y/n… The reason I came here. I have an invitation for you. A… Personal one.”

“Tell me about the stability of these gentlemen, doctor. Only then, we’ll call it a day.”

"There are at least a hundred new recruits that are planning to be enlisted as of today, General Vanrouge. You might be disappointed with the results," the military doctor spoke, walking side-by-side with the general while he flipped through the lists of subordinates.

"And why must that be?" questioned Lilia as he analyzed the printed faces of young faes. Alphas, that's what he's expecting in the field. At the most, the strongest in their recruit. The division is not in need of weaklings.

"You see—" the doctor took the papers from the general, "—most of the recruits are betas. Some are even mere rookies. Lacking in discipline I tell you."

Lilia gripped on the hilt of his sword in dismay, "Albeit, I am not even surprised." He sighed and walked outside to the training field.

"Stability, doctor. Let's ignore their position. It's out of our control. What I want—" he faced the doctor who gripped the papers to his chest. Lilia, the strongest alpha in the frontlines, narrowed his eyes at the innocent fae, "—is their mental capability. I can train them in where they lack. However—"

Unfortunately enough, could this day get any worse for the already annoyed fae, a bomb exploded at the distance. Startling people left and right, some even flinching and running away while Lilia's eyebrows immediately arched downwards.

"These brats," he spat.

The doctor, who's a mere beta himself, could smell the irritation radiate from the general even as he's walking farther away from him. He pulled on the collar of his uniform and gulped, praying to Her Majesty Draconia that her own trusted soldier would calm down.

His temper is not one that should be mocked about.

"Agent y/n was on that field! We need immediate response!" yelled a sergeant.

"So much for these new recruits," gulped the doctor once more.

While his heeled boots stomped on the musky soil of the Earth, Lilia was in no mood to participate in idle chitchat. He listened very carefully to the panicked and fearful voice of soldiers left and right. His nose being able to identify their pheromones, trying to detect that one scent within the crowd.

After all, hearing just the name of the alleged victim was enough to make his veins pump in adrenaline.

"Are they okay?"

"What happened? Wasn't Agent y/n observing the trainees?"

"Good grief, thankfully it didn't ignite the other explosives."

"Stand back!" roared Lilia as the new recruits scurried instantly, with no hesitance, to stand tall in a straight line.

There was black smoke that scattered among the atmosphere on where the explosion happened. A small-caliber projectile exploded due to reckless behavior along with incautious treatment — not much of a big deal when it comes to Lilia just as long as no one's injured. A simple snap of his fingers was enough as the smoke turned into nothing and on the ground is where you laid.

The agent.

Naturally, the scent of fumes was still present in the atmosphere despite the lack of the cloudy smoke; that did not stop the beta recruits (and some omegas, even alphas) from having their heartbeats palpitate at the frightening scent the general was exhausting. It was strong. Definitely dominant.

You were coughing and wheezing from the explosion. Admittedly, you were careless enough yourself as you instinctly jumped and tried to defuse the explosion only for it to explode on your face and throw you on the ground. It hurt but it wasn't deadly. That is, if the general wasn't present at the moment.

You felt a tight and firm grip on your arm that pulled you up to your legs. You are an omega and yet you stood at one of the highest positions in the military. Coughing out the remnants of the smoke in your lungs, you reckoned you are covered in ash and dirt at the moment, not really professionally sightly.

"Thank you—" you mumbled only to gain more of your senses when you heard his booming voice.

"You bloody hellbounds are better off with your hands tied behind your back and jaws in a muzzle." He gritted his teeth, glaring at the recruits who looked like their life is at stake. So much for being an aspiring frontliner.

"Back to your pens and see to it that you're better off punished and kneeling when I come back." Lilia's eyes followed the sergeants that mercilessly ordered — some even ushered — the recruits back to their stations.

"Sir, I'm fine. Let's keep your head levelled, shall we?." You coughed, once, and gently let your pheromones dominate — or try to — his endearing one. It was getting to you as well. Feeling your own heart beat faster and your eyes grow hazy. Hopefully, this would not activate a spontaneous heat despite your continuous intakes of suppressants.

"Keep your lips sealed, y/n. You're not in a stable position." Lilia tried to steady his voice and you still hear the authority in them. "To let an agent of your standing get easily injured over some mild explosion..." he rattled on while he hooked his arms under your legs and bounced you in his arms.

"The least I could do is to refrain you from going feral. You could've—" You coughed. "—could've hit them or blast them off with your magic or something then we'll be in for more trouble." You hooked at arm around his neck as he walked over to the infirmary.

He was terrifying, indeed. Everyone held high respects for the general. Most especially when it came to omegas like you. The ratio of omegas from the alphas and betas in the field was not that big. However, those of your kind hold high importance to the frontliners — even one that can calm the mightiest of alphas.

"I said keep your lips shut."

You exhaled a chuckle through your nose and laid your head on his shoulder. Hearing the clanks of his pins and letting your fingers trail through the hilt of his sword. He doesn't scare you, at least not in this case. "Yes, sir."

Not even now that it's been centuries since you last saw a scowl on his face.

"Again, really?" came forth Lilia, with now a shorter stature and hair painted in pink and black. Arms crossed and an eyebrow arched as he eyed you in one of biggest lakes in Briar Valley.

You simply laughed pushed back your hair. You fell into the lake, that was it. No injuries, just a simple accident that Lilia is no surprise you're very vulnerable to. "At least it's not a bomb this time."

"A...bomb?" Silver questioned as he glanced at you and Lilia as if he's watching the ball bounce in a tennis match. He stepped on a log and reached his hand out to you to which you grabbed and now hoisted back on the wooden deck.

"Long story, my boy." the elder fae shook is head with a grin in his face. "It's a story for another time."

"Ah," you hummed, "Then should I keep my lips shut until then?"

Finding out Hornton is Malleus

I know this isn’t how it’s gonna happen/has happened (I’m still getting caught up on the game) but I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about all the different fun ways the prefect could find out that their weird friend Hornton is actually Malleus Draconia and all of them are delightful.

Imagine if the prefect said something kind of derogatory out loud (just something like a snide comment or a harsh joke), not thinking anything of it because they’ve never so much as seen the guy- only to be overheard by the Diasomnia crew.

Just Sebek standing there about to combust while Lilia is trying to clamp down on a fit of giggles as they watch Malleus just loom behind the prefect looking kind of stunned…

~☽ ♡ ☾ ~

The color had left Silver’s face, Sebek was so horrified that even he needed a moment before he could speak. All that had managed to escape Lilia was a sharp sudden noise somewhere between a gasp and a laugh. The looks of donning horror on the other first years was more than enough to prompt the prefect to look over their shoulder. They started slightly at the tall figure,

“Oh-!” They turned to greet him, beaming immediately, “Hey Hornton!”

Every human soul present was suddenly holding their breath. Malleus was gonna smite them where they stood and the poor ramshackle prefect didn’t stand a chance. All of that was lost on the prefect of course, who just quirked their head at the sudden change in atmosphere.

“Of all the insolent-“ Sebek’s first attempt at speaking was swiftly subdued by Lilia’s hand over his mouth.

“Good afternoon prefect!” Lillia chimed, earning an unfiltered look of bewilderment from Silver and Sebek. Then his eyes glittered mischievously “Well Malleus, are you not going to greet your friend?” He was obviously getting a kick out of this.

“Malleus?” the prefect echoed the name moments before their brain began to play the worlds fastest game of connect the dots. “Ah.” They breathed, looking dumbfounded as they recontextualized their entire friendship with Hornton. Malleus, who’s face had not yet betrayed the rollercoaster of thoughts and emotions he had embarked on, folded his arms lightly.

The prefect smiled nervously, “Ssorry I uh- If I had known- that is if I knew I knew you-“ they shifted awkwardly. Everyone was a breath away from doing or saying something when Malleus finally allowed a look of pure delight to spread across his features.

“Oh no, no! I quite appreciate hearing all of your thoughts about me! It’s not everyday I’m treated to such boldness, child of man.” It might not have come through to anyone but Lilia, but the prince was downright giddy as he offered his hand, “May I escort you when you make your way to your next class? I would like to hear more of your thoughts in detail….” he leaned in slightly to even out the difference in heights, eyes lidded in the smug sort of look he wore on the rare occasions he decided to tease someone else.

The prefect’s shoulders relaxed, a sighing sort of chuckle escaping their chest as they gently shook their head and shrugged,

“Yeah, sure Malleus. Why not.”

“Hornton, if you please…” He pouted.

“Sure, whatever you prefer.”

Hi! This is my first time requesting but I just want to say your writing is amazing! I just stumbled upon your blog and saw the little event you had going on and that you take fem!twst requests too 👀👀 so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind doing date prompt 4 with fem!malleus 👀 I'm down Astronomically for them so maybe like introducing them to some human halloween traditions back at home with corn mazes and hayrides or whatever. It's up to you tho, I can't wait to see what you come up with! Keep up the great work and don't forget to take breaks!! ♡

Sweater Weather Event

☾ Pairing: Fem! Malleus x Fem! Reader

☾ Date Prompt 4: Pumpkin Patch

☾ Notes: This request has too much power so I ended up doing headcanons because I got a lot of ideas. I'm so happy you requested fem!twst because no one else has, anon! It was a powerful one.

✦ Fem!Malleus goes along with your plan to go to a pumpkin patch. Briar Valley does have these but she’s never been to one herself. So, when you suggest this as your date for the weekend, she’s very excited to go.

✦ I imagine matching outfits with her because it would be cute and why not. I could see her wearing a long dress with puff sleeves and a straw hat and if you don’t wanna wear the same thing, at the very least the color scheme will match which will be up to you two.  

✦ Before getting there, she assumed that it would just be a bunch of humans looking through pumpkins and bringing some home. While she wasn’t entirely wrong, Malleus didn’t expect to see hay rides, some food stalls, and a corn maze to top it all off.

✦ Although her face is blank, her eyes are pretty much sparkling, especially at the pumpkin patch. She really wants to pick out a pumpkin with you but she also wants to check out everything else. Since she knows nothing about this, she lets you lead her around, making sure to keep you close by either holding your hand or keeping an arm around your shoulder because wow, there are a lot more people than she thought would be here. Plus, she doesn’t want you to get hurt by all the children running about.

✦ First stop was the corn maze and she got you through it pretty easily. How? I don’t know other than the fact that I’m sure she’s good at mazes. Who’s to say she didn’t explore abandoned mazes as well and just got good going through them? Not me, but I can make a headcanon out of it. But she did like how peaceful it was as the two of you walked through, and she may or may not have stolen a kiss or two whenever you were trying to determine which way to go.

✦ Food stalls were next and all she got was some apple juice the farm was selling since she wasn’t that hungry. She did end up getting some donuts to share with Lilia, Silver, and Sebek. ✦ When the two of you finally head to the pumpkin patch to get your pumpkins, Malleus is inspecting nearly every single pumpkin wanting to know which one to bring home. She remembers you saying that you’re getting pumpkins to do some pumpkin carving, so she’s asking nearly everyone what makes a good pumpkin. Most end up being in awe or scared of her because tall, pretty woman asking questions. 

✦ She’s towering over almost everyone here which is pretty intimidating and not to mention, the fucking Princess of Briar Valley. She gets kind of pouty when no one really answers her questions until a nice elderly couple exploring approach her and help her pick out a pumpkin. Malleus is very happy when they do so and tells them she’s in their debt, which they laugh off because it’s literally just pumpkins but she would be so happy that someone approached her and helped. 

✦ She gets five pumpkins; one to carve with you, one for Lilia, one for Silver, one for Sebek, and one she can carve on her own. And no, she doesn’t carry all of these pumpkins including the food she got for them. She just teleports it to Diasomnia since she doesn’t want you to carry it on top of your own things but it’s in her room so the rest don’t find out. She wants to present it to her Diasomnia family when she gets back because Malleus also wants to tell them about her adventures with you at the pumpkin patch.

✦ Oh! And while you’re waiting in line to pay for your pumpkins, she’s eyeing some scarecrow plushies and notices you looking at them as well. She buys them. You guys have matching plushies to commemorate your date and the first time she went to a pumpkin patch now. Congratulations. I’m jealous. 

✦ Unfortunately, because of the long line, the farm is already closing for the day by the time you pay for your things. She’s a little sad but brightens up again when you tell her that you guys could come again the next weekend. 

✦ Malleus would, overall, have such a fun time looking at all the food and activities since she’s never been to one and she’s with you! When the two of you part ways and she’s back in Diasomnia, Lilia ends up texting you thank you for taking her young mistress out because now she’s raving about it, even if it doesn’t look like it. She really hopes that you guys go back and it becomes a yearly tradition because she had a lot of fun.

⋆｡ﾟ☁︎｡⋆｡ ﾟ☾ ﾟ｡⋆ malleus is used to being the only being that everyone in nrc is scared of, so seeing that you experience the same thing when meeting new people oddly puts him at ease that he isn't alone. though it took a while before the both of you would start conversing because malleus is unsure on how to approach you without scaring you like all the others, he really cherishes your relationship with him. he enjoys conversing with you, especially since your caring and affectionate attitude makes him feel a little less lonely. he also gets flustered when you tease him, unsure how else to respond! as a partner, malleus is very loyal to you. though it majorly stems from the fact that he does not like being left alone, he will sometimes follow you around silently as you do your activities, constantly checking up on you if you're alright. he also likes to impress you so he does his best to cook your favorite food, since you like eating! it's only a good thing he didn't enlist lilia's help for this. when he sees you burdening yourself again with even more work late at night, he stays up with you as company. there are even times where he offers to help you with it - if there was something he could do to help, he would jump on it so that he could see you just a tad bit more relaxed. malleus sometimes brings you out on late night walks when you're getting stressed with your work for some fresh air and relax for a bit with him.
