Hello Tumblr! I’ve been putting off on posting this for ages (just over a week since I’ve started here, but shhh), but I’ve been working on a little AU for Pokémon.

Everything’s the same, except for one thing: weredragons exist.

Now I know what you’re gonna think; “Sp1derC1der, what’s this AU called?” And I am lucky to tell you guys that it’s called the Draco Scaled AU!

As a sneak-peek for you guys, I have designs! (Don’t worry. I have everyone’s designs, but I want them to be a surprise.)

First up, we have everyone’s favourite divorced/married rivals, Maxie and Archie! 🎉🎉

So, Maxie’s dragon form’s two metres in height, which is tall for us people, but absolutely TINY in terms of weredragon height. He’s also a drake (a flightless dragon) that just so happens to look like a Velociraptor. He mainly has sun-based powers (gotta keep that Groudon inspo), but he’s also quite fast. In fact, he chooses flight over fight in terms of instincts.

Archie, on the other hand, is absolutely MASSIVE at around 42.2 metres and he’s also a sea serpent. Obviously, he has water-based powers (duh), but he also has thick, impenetrable scales. I think he also possesses a single braincell tbh

Studying linguistics is actually so wonderful because when you explain youth slang to older professors, instead of complaining about how "your generation can't speak right/ you're butchering the language" they light up and go “really? That’s so wonderful! What an innovative construction! Isn't language wonderful?"

Let Danny’s Parents Be Criminals

I hate the reveal gone wrong trope in the dpxdc fandom because we know Jack and Maddie end up supporting Danny and Dani in the end. His parents have some major flaws but wanting to torture their actual child isn’t one. What they are guilty of is going way too hard on any plan they cook up without thinking of the consequences.

If I were writing a dpxdc fic and I wanted Danny in adoptable status I’d just have Jack and Maddie in jail on charges of domestic terrorism after they killed off GIW agents and destroyed the GIW’s bases. They realized their ghost kids were in potential danger and went at the government the same way they went at ghosts, guns blazing and with reckless driving.

They end up in federal prison and they Vlad wins custody cause he’s rich and there is your runaway Danny plot starter.
