Now that I'm older I understand why Kaiba was so pissed off by Yugi. When I was 10yo it seemed so EASY to just "believe in the heart of the cards" like come ON Kaiba
As an adult, if someone who was kicking my ass at my favourite game (on live TV no less) told me that the reason I'm losing is that I don't BELIEVE hard enough, I would launch myself across the arena and start throwing hands

Kiya, you're the first person who I follow, who are a Yuuji & Sukuna fan but not shipping them. Like, it's so cool....Most JJK fan that I know are people who love either one of them, hate both of them, or love both of them (and must shipping them romantically)....Do you think in the end, Yuuji is the one who will kill Sukuna for good?
Thanks @epickiya722 for sharing your fanfics and many reviews and analysis (especially for BNHA & JJK). Love reading them 💐🌻🌷
I prefer tumblr then twitter. I sometimes tired to see many negative comments around fandom. You're right, Kiya,.there are many people who love to talk negatively about a certain fandom, like if you hate it that much, why not just stop watching or reading them (yes 'a certain fandom' that I mean are BNHA & JJK)......
Is that rare?! To like both characters and not ship them?
Anyways!!
To that question, I do!! I'll be honest, I think out of all the characters, it would make sense if Yuji is the one to land the final attack and ending Sukuna for good. It honestly frightens me a little that this makes it possible that some of the other characters may be put out commission. But! Let's think about it!
I apologize beforehand because I know this is going to get long!
It makes sense to me that Yuji is the one to kill Sukuna because out of the characters, who annoys Sukuna the most? Who does he view now as his "main dish" because of his unbreakable resolve? Yuji Itadori!
This kinda plays into some thoughts of mine I'm working on.
For one, I think of Yuji and Sukuna's relationship as more twisted version of Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi (to an extent, Ryou and Yami Bakura).
A while back, in this post, I talked a little about how JJK share some similarities to YGO, which apparently Gege likes, I don't know, I read a post. I believe so with the references thrown in there and again, similarities that could be coincidences.
Yuji and Yugi have similar names, spiky multicolored hair (black, pink and blond... Yuji used to be blond), they're high school students who wear blue uniforms, raised by their grandfathers who also happen to look like the spirit possessing them in some way, they stick to their morals, got possessed by a spirit with a "King" title through a cursed objects...
Both stories involve something about souls, Kenjaku rocked the Bandit Keith special, in the anime, you can see Gojo hold a DVD that looks like Bonds Beyond Time (I have a post here showing so)...
That's all I can capture, but thinking about all that I wondered "well, how funny it would be if Yuji turns out to be Sukuna's reincarnation? Like his soul reborn just like Yugi is to Yami/Atem?"
If that's the case, then for sure it would be possible for another similarity to be thrown in.
At the end of YGO, guess what happens to Yami and Yugi? Spoiler, Yugi beats Yami in a duel for Yami to pass onto the afterlife.
In a way, it was like he was putting his past self to rest.
So couldn't it be possible for Yuji to do the same to Sukuna? Put the King of Curses to rest as he should be? Sukuna was reawaken into an era he does not belong to. It's something I don't see talked about a lot. A clash of generations.
Think of Gojo and the Higher-Ups. Gojo doesn't like their ways of handling the Jujutsu world. Another example, Kirara's technique is more "new age" which the HUs don't care for.
With Sukuna, in 248, he's used his opponents being people who fight him to prove something or fearing him. Now? Yuji breaks that mold. He's not someone fighting Sukuna to entertain him or even fears him. He's mad at him, he hates him and doesn't seek for his praise or to please him. He has accepted that he is a Jujutsu sorcerer.
Sukuna was used to his "old" ways, that he didn't account for Yuji to come at him with a different or "new" vibe.
So yeah, Yuji being the one to kill Sukuna would be fitting in my opinion. He was created to be Sukuna's vessel, but who says he couldn't also have been created to be Sukuna's threat? I mean, it is funny that Yuji was able to suppress Sukuna with ease.
Okay, that was long! 😆
**
Seriously, it's like do some of these people ever enjoy anything and want to talk about those things?
I get not enjoying something, but the endless cycle of complaining that "this chapter is too short", "that wasn't how I wanted it go", even "break again"!
Like, damn! Is there anything in the chapter you did like? Oh, now writers and artists can't take breaks? Wonder why we have strikes...
I'm not always optimistic, but I like some enjoyment in my life, too. Post some funny memes, write about why you like a character, ramble about a ship fic you like ans trust me you will feel so much better, folks.
Also, thank you, Anon!! 🌸💜💫
I don't think of myself as a bigtime blog with analysis and theory posts, but just someone who likes to share her many thoughts. I don't except anyone to agree with me or anything. I just have thoughts that I just post.

OK it’s time to talk about one of my fav charecter moments ever due to rewatching it today
the fucking kaiba/yugi/yami duel
context
yugi is fighting in a competition a man named maxamilion pegasus kidnapped his grandfather he needs to beet him to win his soul back
kaiba is fighting in a competition a man named maxamilion pegasus kidnapped his brother he needs to beet him to win his soul back
they need to fight each other before they can even try and get their family back only one will win the other will lose their loved one forever they meet on the top of his (pegasus’s) castle to fight on top of two towers
during fights yugi get’s possessed by an old ghost taped in a necklace that’s also holding a fragment of the soul of literally just the devil
meaning yami (the ghost) is rather violent and will do literally anything to win this fight
kaiba starts to lose the fight for his brothers soul and right before he loses he steps on to the edge of the roof and if yami finishes the fight there is a very good chance he will die
yami attacks yugi stops him kaiba wins
and i think this is perfect
from yami’s POV its kaiba’s life or his hosts grandfather yami has killed for far far far less than this it’s perfectly reasonable for him to make this choce very in charecter he was very recently sending people to hell for bullying his host’s grandfathers soul being lost forever actually one of the more reasonable reasons for pulling this kinda shit
yugi stops him he calls off the attack at the last second and as a reaction is actually viceraly afraid of himself and tries to call off dueling (which would lose his grandfather) cuz he no longer trusts himself to do what’s right this also makes a lot of sense yugi’s always been the empathetic touchy feely one he’s not going to kill anyone he’s not like him he and yami are litealy mirrors of each other his actions also make a lot of sense
i actually think what kaiba does in this moment is the most interesting because yes it is drastic but it is actually completely in line with the person we know he is and how he grew up from future show knowledge
kaiba is trying to save his brother mocubba who he swore to always protect when their parents died and they where left at the orphanage we know that at this point in the show we’ve been shown that through flashbacks so the choice kina makes sense it’s definitely justified but what we don’t know yet and what makes it such a good scene to me
we haven't learned about his father
his adoptive father who hated him who (depending on the canon you follow) was literally grooming him to completely replace his old dead son kaiba grew up super in an abusive situation but also one where he actively chose that (as much as a young teen can) due to knowing it would lead to the best life for his brother
what really makes the tower action makes sense is the last time seto ever saw his father
seto bought out majority in his adoptive fathers company and in response
his father kills himself rather than live in failure most of what we know about that man is he tought kaiba that to lose is to die
kaiba threatening to jump off that building isn’t only due to him knowing yugi wouldn’t attack it’s also cuz he genuinely has nothing left to lose he is actually suicidal in that moment not calling a bluff
and i think it’s the most in character way he could have handled that situation ever
because the kaiba we know if he lost that fight would have had to die due to it to follow his character motivations
and anything else would have been dishonest

Got a new Solomon Muto event in Duel Links!
Yugi: Grandpa! Solomon: Yugi!? Oh no! You found me! Yugi: Sigh...It’s fine if you want to Duel, but you shouldn’t be here alone. Solomon: Then you should Duel me! You can keep an eye on me, so that’ll alleviate all your worries. Yugi: Sure, i guess...But I don’t know if you’ll be much competition... Solomon: Don’t underestimate me! Remember - the deck you’re using is the one I built in the first place! Yugi: That’s true...But I did swap almost every card in it...(And I can’t use physical cards in this world anyway...) Solomon: If you’re so confident, I’ll let you put your Egyptian God Cards into your Deck! Yugi: I can’t do that! Besides, i left those cards at home, in a safe place! Don’t you realize how hard he had to fight to get those Egyptian Gods? Solomon: “He”? Who’s “he”? Yugi: Uhh...Never mind! (Oops...I forgot my Grandpa has never met the Pharaoh.) Solomon: Yugi...Are you talking about the soul of the Pharaoh? Yugi: Huh? How did you know? Solomon: (I knew it. When Yugi reassembled the Millennium Puzzle, he gained the soul of the Pharaoh.) Yugi...the one who possesses the Pharaoh’s soul inherits the power to face the ultimate test. That is the task of the chosen one. Yugi: Grandpa... Solomon: So no matter what happens, you must not lose! Yugi: ...Right! Solomon: Ho ho...Now I must get going. Bye, Yugi. Yugi: Bye... .......... Yami Yugi: (...You’re letting your grandfather escape?) Yugi: Huh...? Ahhh! He tricked me! He jumbled me up with all his words! Yami Yugi: (...........)

Series Description:
Yugi was born a girl, inspired by the fact that I found out that Atem is in  fact commonly used as a girl's name. Yes I am aware of the fact that  mythology states that there was an Atem who was the father of Bast, but  once my brain had started ticking, well… here you go. There will be 9 main stories in this series but I make no promises how many side stories and one shots will pop up by the time the series ends. This lines up with the 9 Gods and Goddesses of the Egyptian Ennead and is the reason for the series name.
Story Links:
Kemet -  Before the downfall, before Egypt went to hell, there was a Thief who wormed her way into the palace...  (Complete, One Shot)
Dishonour - Finally, after years of waiting... they've got him. (Complete, One Shot)
Jb - After the events of earlier, the Pharaoh and her Shadow need a moment alone. (Complete, One Shot)
Mahad’s Tale - The moment everything went wrong in Ancient Egypt as told by Mahad in chapter 3 of Kismet. (A comic of Mahad's side of the story by https://twitter.com/fullmoondraws. 1 page up so far.)
Season Zero -  After working on the Puzzle that her Grandfather gave her for eight years, Yugi finally managed to complete it. What she couldn't know was how much trouble one little trinket could cause… (Complete, 27 chapters)
In Sickness -  Jou has been ill and now Yugi has come down with the same sickness. Can  the spirit of the Puzzle, Oneesan work out what's wrong with her   Imoto-chan before the sickness takes it's toll?  (Complete, 1 shot)
For Those We Love -  A sudden attack out of nowhere leaves Yugi with no choice but to travel  to an island in the middle of nowhere and compete to save her Ojiisan's  soul. Can she defeat Pegasus, save everyone and somehow, finally, work  out how to interact with Oneesan, all without getting herself killed? (Complete, 27 chapters)
Refrain - Duelist Kingdom was hard on the Kaibas and Seto can't sleep.(Complete, 1 shot)
Kin -  After surviving Duelist Kingdom, Yugi is looking forward to getting back  to normality. Well, what passes for normal when you're the one who  completed the Millennium Puzzle, one of your friends is the host for the  spirit whose rampage ended your elder twin's reign back in Egypt and  old adversaries of your grandfather have moved into town.   (Complete, 15 chapters)
Kismet -  After a close call in a raging inferno, Yugi is left with more questions  than answers.  One thing is certain: as she is, she cannot win the  oncoming fight and with the future of the world at stake, she needs to  know more. Thankfully, looking to the future can sometimes give you  answers to the past... (Completed, 19 chapters)
Unwind -  A little relaxation is good for the soul.  (Set between chapters 5 & 6 of Kismet. Complete, 1 shot.)
Semestral - A collection of drabbles and one shots set in the time skip between Kismet and Battle of the Gods (Complete. 44 chapters)
Fantasia - A game to be tested, a set of rules changed and an unfair plot interrupted lead a set of adventurers into trouble. (Being written, will update VERY slowly because this arc hates me, 2 chapters so far)
Battle of the Gods - Battle City has arrived. Yugi and her twin sister, the Spirit of the Puzzle, need to compete to earn the keys to unlock the Pharaoh's missing memories and powers, but there is danger on the horizon. Will they reach their goal or will the sun set on them, and the world? (Posting, 44 chapters so far...)
Side B - The King A dip in the ocean at the end of the worst day of Yugi's life, leads to a trip from which there may be no return... (One shot, Complete)
Side B - The Pawn The cost of self sacrifice burns deep, and Amane, having risked her life and soul to protect a friend, finds herself making a journey that could end badly... (One shot, Complete)
Side B - The Knight Jonouchi Katsuya knew it was a bad move the moment he made it, but coming back from it could be more challenging than he knew… (One shot, Complete)

To Pieces
Before Duke can make his next roll, their game is interrupted. A panel in the wall rotates, revealing a secret, hidden door as the clown from earlier pulls his masked face out of the hole from which he was spying. In his hand dangles Yugi's treasure.
"Ryuji!!" the clown shouts, calling Yugi's opponent by his given name. "I forbid you to lose to Solomon Mutou's grandson!! Don't you dare let me down now!!"
"Stay out of this, Dad!!" Duke snaps back.
"give me back my millennium puzzle!!" cries Yugi. He starts to get up from the table, to try and lunge for his prized possession, but the clown holds up a finger.
"Ah ah ah!! You surrender if you leave that table!!" the clown, Duke's father, warns. "It's been 20 years since I fought your grandfather for this Puzzle. I won't lose it again! So sit down, kid, and listen up!!"
Yugi grits his teeth but he does as he's told, slowly sinking back into his seat. He doesn't take his eyes off the Puzzle, dangling by its sturdy, metal chain.
"you don't understand," he pleads. "the millennium puzzle is part of me!! it's my other heart, my. my other soul, please. please!! just give it back--"
"In your dreams!!"
"Dad!! This is my fight!!" Duke shouts again, his voice serious. But it wavers as he continues. "SO please... Don't. Get in the way..."
"What are you saying, Ryuji? I'm just trying to help you? I'm your cheerleader!! Can't you see I'm doing this because I love you...?" There's a note of pain in the clown's voice as he talks to his son that makes Duke flinch and Yugi's stomach turn. "Look, I know something that will show you I care!! See! If I do this, his will to fight will fall apart!"
Yugi watches in horror as the clown pulls and pries at the corners of the Puzzle with his gloved fingers, twisting and fiddling with the relic.
"you're not-- you can't!!" Yugi grips the edge of the table as he tries to keep himself seated. His heart pounds in his throat. His stomach twists and aches.
"Yugi, what was that you said? Your bond can't be broken? Well then let's just see what happens when I break this thing!!"
"STOP!!!" Yugi cries, his voice raised in desperation. "please, stop!!! please!!!!!!"
The first piece comes loose with a click!
A nervous hush falls over the room.
Yugi is frozen, unable to even breathe. He watches in horror as the small, golden piece falls to the floor.
The second piece slides out easily. The clown laughs
Structural integrity compromised, the rest of the Puzzle crumbles. As the golden pieces rain down, scattering across the tile floor, Yugi's heart breaks too.
An otherworldly wail of agony tears itself from his throat. Their game forgotten, Yugi throws himself to the floor, desperately scooping up the fragments of his heart with shaking hands.
For a moment, he can't speak. Wide eyed in shock, it's all he can do to try and pick up each piece, to hold them all despite his trembling.
The clown just laughs and laughs, still holding the chain and the few remaining Puzzle pieces attached to it. "There's your so called bond!!! In pieces, all over the floor, where it belongs!! Don't worry, Yugi! My son will put it back it back together soon!"
"how..... how could you..." Yugi sobs, finally finding his voice. It's quiet, far away. But then he slams a fist against the cold, hard tiles as he screams, "how could you break my other heart, you bastard?! it took me eight years to solve the puzzle!!"
"Too bad, Yugi! You won't get another chance, you surrendered the moment you left that table! Admit that you're nothing but a loser-- huh?" Cutting himself short, the clown watches as Duke stands from his seat. Without a word, he walks calmly across the floor to kneel beside his broken opponent.
"Yugi, I'm sorry. This was. Not the way things were supposed to go," his voice is dry but gentle as he helps gather the scattered golden pieces.
"Is that all of them?"
Yugi nods. He holds tightly to as many pieces as will fit in his shaking hands, letting Duke hold onto the rest as he helps Yugi to his feet.
"Ryuji...." the clown starts, only to be silenced by a cold, piercing glare from his own son. Duke snatches what's left of the Puzzle from his father's hands.
"I said stay out of this, dad!" Duke snaps. He sets the shattered relic on the edge of the table, halfway between them, and urges Yugi to do the same with the pieces he holds. "Our game's not over. This is my battle, and I'm not accepting some unfair victory. Sit down, Yugi. Let's finish what we started."
Yugi nods weakly. Takes a deep breath, wipes the tears from his eyes with the back back of his hand, then nods again, this time more assuredly.
hang in there, other me. i promise. i swear i'll see you again.

Have some Duelist Kingdom angst with my girl Nana because aha I keep thinking about this scene in my head
The only sounds that can be heard in the guest bedroom is the ticking of the clock on the wall and the distant hoot of an owl outside. The only light sources come from the glowing full moon through sheer curtains and the lamp on the end table by the bed.
The Puzzle sits alone on the coffee table in front of her, the eye designed onto the front of it almost staring back at her. Nana swore she could almost feel something pulse from it; a sense of anxiety. In the -- what, year or so now? -- since her little brother had solved it, it had seemed dormant and unassuming, at least around her and the others. Her suspicions and unease had never come directly from it, but rather the strange incidents that had cropped up around Yugi and their friends. People going insane, needing to be hospitalized for mental breakdowns after bullying the others; arson cases happening more exponentially; people dying.
All because of it; all because of him.
Now it seemed like it was anxious, a pressure around it that demanded to be acknowledged. It was if it was ordering to be returned to Yugi.
"Why should I?" Nana asks aloud, hands curling into fists in her lap.
It looked insane; her sitting alone and having a staring contest with a 3,000 year old artifact, demanding answers.
But, really, why should it be back with her brother? All this item and the stupid ghost that had lived inside had done was cause problems. It had cost others so much. Pegasus wanted it so desperately that he stole away her grandfathers soul.
And then there was that Duel.
Her brother looked so haunted and frail. The Spirit had caused lapses in his memory before they even knew of his existence, made him tired and unable to really question what was going on with himself until he learned there was another half to him during the Shadow Game they played against the Spirit of the Ring, Bakura.
Him knowing now kept that from happening; it let him work with his other half on what he thought was equal footing. He thought he was kind and helpful.
Until he almost killed Kaiba.
Now Yugi had to face what else this spirit made him, his body, do. It was violating; it was vile.
Nana sat forward, her normally bright aqua eyes glowering down at the item. "You've done enough to throw Yugis life into pure chaos," she told him, bitterly. "He's a kid and you've done nothing but use him to mess with other people's lives in some sick game! Why should I let you go back to him? So you hurt him even more? So you can go back to doing whatever and using him as your scapegoat?"
Silence. Of course. It's not like she solved the Puzzle nor did he have a host to talk from at the moment.
Even still.
"You can't go around doing these things," she continued, furrowing her brow. "You can't keep treating other people like their pawns or they're expendable. Or that they do anything wrong and you have to hurt them in the worst way possible. You can't use someone to kill somebody!"
Nana faltered after a long moment, running her hands over her face. She brushed her long, blonde bangs back behind her ears, hands curled up in front of her face. "You do these things and you're no better than Bakura or Pegasus," she said, the edge never leaving her voice. "I don't know who hurt you. Or how you ended up in there. But it doesn't give you the right to do these things to other people. I don't care what the Book of the Dead or any hieroglyphics or anything else say; you're not some god who gets to make judgement calls without consequence! And Yugi sure as hell isn't!"
Her brother had always been the kindest soul she'd ever met. He tried to treat everyone with kindness and understanding, never afraid to reach his hand out to those that needed it. He hated even the notion of violence; even when they were little, if he saw a fight break out that his sister would always go to protect him from, he would cry his heart out.
He was kind. He was the true light in their family, no matter how much they joked Nana shone as brightly as the sun. It was Yugi.
Her hands twitched. She was met with silence yet again and she sighed, rising to her feet. What was the point of any of this? She doubted he was even listening to her.
"...I wish he never solved you," Nana said, her voice quiet, the cracks beginning to show. "None of this would be happening if he hadn't. We would be safe at home with Grandpa and he wouldn't have to wonder what all you used him to do. You really are cursed."
Her hand grabbed the rope it dangled from, wrapping the chord around it. She felt a pulse from it, and it felt...
...Almost like regret. Sorrow.
Nana bit her lip. Had he been paying attention? More importantly; was that feeling real or what she'd hoped he was feeling, and she was just imagining things?
...
Finally, she shook her head, and dropped it into her backpack. She slid the bag behind her pillow; the door and windows were locked, sure, but she didn't trust Pegasus or his goons not to try and find a way in and take it. Even as much as she resented the Spirit, she couldn't risk the Puzzle falling into their hands. They'd never save Grandpa if they did.
She pulled the covers over herself as she climbed into bed, turning off the lamp as she pulled the bag and her pillow closer underneath her head.
"You might as well get comfortable, since you're...well, whatever the equivalent of grounded would be for a millennia old ghost in a cursed object," she sighed, closing her eyes. "Just. Quit trying to make things worse for everyone right now. Alright?"
Nothing.
Nana closed her eyes, letting out a soft sigh. As restless as her heart felt, she knew she'd need the sleep.
The real challenge came tomorrow.

I have no idea what this is about, but fine. Have more word vomit.
She closed her eyes briefly, before she drew in the power of her own item, letting the symbol shine brightly on her head for just a moment before it dimmed, and the screams of the other Young Five members rang in her ears.
“Holy shit, Reika what the hell?!” Mei squeaked.
“Katsuo asked me how I knew what Pegasus did. I was only giving a demonstration,” she said with a roll of her eyes. “So yeah, no one’s dead. He stole their souls.”
“That is not remotely better. How do we get their souls back?” Sora questioned.
“We don’t. There’s nothing any of us can do while we’re in Domino. But… I think if Yugi wins tomorrow, Pegasus will be stopped.”
“You do? Why?”
“Because I’m not the only Muto with a Millennium Item.”
Hideo’s eyes widened. “Yugi. And he’s competing in the tournament! So does that mean Pegasus kidnapped your grandfather in order to get to Yugi’s item?”
She nodded slowly. “That’s what Yugi and I suspect, anyway.”
“Fuck, man, what is Pegasus’ problem?”
“He’s a rich megalomaniac just like Gozaburo. It’s a dirty business tactic we should all be used to,” Sora said with a soft sigh.
“Gozaburo never fucking killed anyone in front of us.”
“Probably because the Big Five would never allow it. Minako once told me she found a blood stain on Gozaburo’s office carpet,” Katsuo said. “But now that we’re adults apparently they have no problem with showing us the brutality of the business world.”
Mei shook her head. “I don’t know what came over them. They’ve never done this before. Especially Uncle Ken… to be happy to see Seto die - ”
“Let’s not act so surprised, Mei. We knew they were working against Gozaburo. It stands to reason they would have gone after Seto eventually,” Sora said.
Reika sighed and spun the sapphire charm on her necklace. “This is much more difficult for her than it is for the rest of us. I mean, Johnson’s her uncle.” Though Reika couldn’t say she’d be too surprised if Uncle Takeo was a part of dirty politics like this.
Mei nodded slowly. “Yeah. I’ll see you guys tomorrow for the finals.”

Yu Gi Oh OCs!! The boy with the purple hair is Avram and the one with black hair is Kai!! Kai is a ghost that haunts the card Trap Master which is in Avram's deck. Kai often torments him, giving him nightmares. Kai starts to trust Avram and gives him the nickname " Soulmate " I wanted him to have a nickname like Yami has for Yugi uwu Avram is for DM! He is of royal descent from Romania! He likes to go by Avi, but only with friends!! He comes across Yugi and his friends when Avi was trying to hide from his guards during a trip to Japan. Yugi lets him hide in his grandfather's shop! Avram is able to tell whenever Yami is in charge of Yugi's body, he gets a different vibe when the pharaoh is out, It seems that his skills with seeing Kai helped him. Kai doesn't like the pharaoh because he always tries to talk to him and set Kai on the "right path." Kai was k!lled by his girlfriend because she thought he was cheating, as his apartment was being torn apart and stuff stolen, he managed to slip his soul into his deck of cards before they were taken too. I chose the trap master card because I really liked the art and I thought its ability was pretty good in a duel!! I wanna draw Kai as the card at some point too!
Tumblr media
Also Idk if this card was a thing in DM or if it was introduced later?? But I liked the art too much lol so Avram's special I guess I used Yami and Kaiba as bases for the ygo style!! I didn't get to finish Kai's so its not yassifed like Avi's is lol I really like them!! I enjoyed trying to make a character with that ygo hair lol and I hope I got it right!! If you want to know anything about them or ask them a question I'll happily answer!! <3

Watching Duelist Kingdom and the Kaiba Corp Grand Championship back-to-back is hilarious in terms of the things Yugi and Yami will get into a "We can't!" / "We must!" argument about.
Defeating Kaiba at the risk of his life so you can get into Pegasus's castle to try to save your grandfather because his soul has been sealed into a card? Legitimately stressful. That's a toughie.
Breaking the KC tournament rules by having an unofficial duel with Vivian so she'll perform unlicensed medical care on your grandfather's sprained back instead of escorting him over to the medical facilities that are a few buildings away? I'm not sure that one's worth getting so worked up over, boys.

Okay, okay, okay. I've been thinking about this for... a while-a while now and I know I mentioned before, but I didn't say why exactly!
(Work with me here, I'm, like, half awake writing this.)
Again, I think it would be wild if Itadori turned out to be Sukuna's reincarnation. You know, a reborn soul.
I know, I know. It's implied that Kenjaku created Itadori for the purpose of being Sukuna's vessel (I don't remember if it's ever been explicit that Kenjaku created Yuji for that purpose) so yeah, in a way to be his reincarnation. Now adding onto that, what if Kenjaku managed to somehow keep another piece of Sukuna's soul to turn Itadori into that full reincarnation? Knowing Kenjaku and anything can happen, hm? (Look, Kenjaku be having a lot of tricks up their sleeves, alright. This is the same story where a sword has a hand attached to it and a guy that swallows curses and uses them like damn... DUEL MONSTERS...)
Again, what if Yuuji Itadori isn't just Sukuna's vessel? But also his modern day reincarnation?
I say this because one of other anime/manga.
Yu-Gi-Oh.
Wait, I know, what does YGO have to do with Jujutsu Kaisen, let alone Itadori being Sukuna's reincarnation? Is it because of the recent YGO reference in chapter 241?
Yes, partly!
It's because of that reference, the "trap card and Kenjaku looking like Bandit Keith" reference that I realized it is possible Gege Akatumi may have already been making references to YGO but for the sake of the story!
(There's also the scene in the anime where Gojo is holding a parody of the YGO crossover movie, Bonds Beyond Time, in episode 6. Also, I just think it's awesome that Megumi Ogata voices Yuta Okkotsu. Ogata is the voice actress of Yugi in YGO Season 0.)
I realized that JJK does share some similarities with YGO when it comes to their protagonists.
Both Yuji and Yugi are high school students raised by their grandfathers and have absent parents (I swear though that you do see Yugi's mom like once in the anime).
Both get possessed by an ancient spirit by coming in contact with a cursed item that houses a piece of that spirit. Said spirits are merciless and brutal (especially Sukuna and season 0 Yami, but in the second anime series Yami got better). Both spirits also hold a "King" title. You got the King of Curses and the King of Games. And they hold up to said titles. In their pasts, they backed up those titles.
Then there's Yuji and Yugi's hair. Yuji used to be a blond! So three hair colors? Black, blond and pink hair? (Yugi's is more magenta, I know.) When Sukuna and Yami take over, there's little differences, but the most notable be the eyes and hair slicking back (some of Yami's bangs are pushed back).
Yuji and Yugi even got similar names!
They also got to collect "pieces". Yuji - Sukuna's fingers, Yugi - Millennium Items.
There's also the thing with souls in both these stories.
That's all I can really think of!
Honestly, this post was written for fun and really, I won't say this is concrete and it's a "hard-core theory you must believe".
I just think it's crazy that there's similarities between JJK and YGO. Could be coincidence, could be Akatumi having fun. And I do think it would be kinda crazy that Yuji turned out to Sukuna's modern-day self.
And maybe I wrote this post as a first half to another... because again, I have thoughts and I like sharing my thoughts sometimes.

Tell me more about your blorbos from that 2000’s anime, the yoyo-go
wow i love yoyo-go it is my favoriteee. i gotta make it clear i take everything from the show and not the manga. Which you can watch for free on their website (use an adblocker but honestly only watch the show with a friend and make fun of it)
i have two core blorbos from yugioh and they are the closest thing to being the main villain (who isn't in most of the show for some reason) and a barely relevant side character who the writers forget more often than not. Spoilers for season one mostly but who fucking cares it's yugioh.
Uhh basic rundown of the show first. I'm mostly talking about Season One. The important thing to know is the protagonist is named Yugi, who has something called the millennium puzzle which houses a thousands year old pharaoh from egypt with no memories of his past named Yami(Dark) Yugi. Everyone plays a popular card game called 'Duel Monsters', which is made by a guy named Pegasus. In Season One he hosts a tournament called Duelist Kingdom which takes place on a private island, and forces Yugi to participate by trapping his grandfather's soul in. Like a video tape or some shit.
The overall main villain is named Yami Bakura and the random side character is Tristan. An important facet of Yami Bakura is that he is just possessing the body of the actual Bakura (who is basically a non-character). Yami Bakura is a thousands year old spirit from egypt and I don't think he has memories from his past? I haven't actually watched the season where his tragic backstory is revealed. He plays the role of a secondary antagonist in the first season. While he isn't part of the Duelist Kingdom tournament he is here bc he snuck on the island.
Yami Bakura is actually in an artifact called the millennium ring, which is one of the many millennium items. There are like seven, but not all of them contain spirits, just the Puzzle and the Ring. There are seven items in total and he wishes to collect them all for. ultimate power or something? show isn't clear but what does matter is that all the items being wielded by one person is very dangerous.
Tristan is literally just a guy. He's a normal high schooler who is friends with Yugi, as well as joey who is a secondary protagonist. He is supposedly closest to Joey which yeah but also Joey is not paying it forward. He and Joey used to bully Yugi for being a nerd but then through some anime logic they became friends. In my opinion which is very biased he's vaguely characterized as being very headstrong and a problem solver, who doesn't get all of the magic and card game things happening around him but still tries his best to keep up and help. He's also canonically really, really strong, which the show often has to forget for anything to happen since every person who actually plays the card games is built like a twig.
OK I am now going to get to the fun blorbo bits. My crack theory with a lot of evidence is that Bakura and Tristan are become bffs during season one off screen. After some weird shit goes on with Yami Bakura (which is relevant, but Tristan thought it was a bad dream) Bakura and Tristan are seen together VERY FREQUENTLY. When the show wants to do something without them, they go off to do something else together. If they're on screen they're together, if Bakura is off doing sus things Tristan is always the one to ask "Where's Bakura?"
Before the final duel Bakura, Tristan, and another character (who I hate) believe that Pegasus is using cameras to cheat in the duels. Pegasus has another millennium item that allows him to read minds and see what the other player is holding. So they sneak around at night, looking around the main dueling area. They then break into a tower after finding nothing.
While this is a big interaction the stuff that happens between them after that isn't super important. Because while something big happens Yami Bakura wipes Tristan's memory of it. The important part about it for me is that Yami Bakura gets to see that Tristan is at least a bit competent despite the show they're in.
During the final duel (Yugi vs Pegasus) the show switches between the actual Duel and Tristan/Bakura.
Tristan and Bakura talk about how Pegasus has the souls and bodies(they're separate right now) of two characters, and therefore is holding all the cards. Tristan decides to be the only dude who does anything productive and goes off to find either of the two, since if he does Pegasus wont have as much leverage over all of them.
After a few scenes that I described in three paragraphs Tristan finds a soulless body of a character named Mokuba, Yami Bakura saves Tristan after he's cornered, they run together and again Yami Bakura saves Tristan from falling to his death. However they both are cornered at the top of a very high tower and Pegasus' Goons catch up to them.
So Yami Bakura summons two monsters and literally kills the guards just cus. BUT instead of turning on Tristan and killing him he talks to him, revealing his goal that he wants a new body to possess. He threatens Tristan, demanding he hands Mokuba over.
Tristan refuses. Instead of making good on his threat he reminds Tristan that he will kill him and have one of his monsters devour his soul. I'm pointing out again he really could have just done so already instead of giving Tristan chances to comply. For a third time he tries to reason with him, implying that he wouldn't kill him despite stating that yeah he's an evil spirit in the ring possessing his friend.
Tristan fakes giving in, throwing Mokuba's body to him before laying his ass out which yes was the best moment in the show. Tristan takes the ring off Bakura's body and literally chucks it into a small forest on the island. Tristan then carries Bakura and Mokuba back to where Joey and another character are watching Yugi duel. Later in the next episode the ring just appears on Bakura's neck again by magic so lmao rip didn't quite solve the problem but it was still cool as hell.
That is sadly pretty much the last they interact in any meaningful way, which sucks SO MUCH ASS. In season 2 when Bakura/Yami Bakura gets put in a card game coma by a different villain he's the most concerned for him and they have a few more small interactions, but that's kind of it. Tristan gets shoved to the side and Bakura straight up doesn't show up for half of season 2, and makes no appearance in Season 3 and supposedly 4. BTW the writers also straight up forgot about everything above by season 4 which makes me SO MAD but season 4 is so bullshit anyway from the 3 episodes i've watched (and it apparently gets worse).
OH-K so here's where my blorbo bingo brain comes in. I personally headcanon that Yami Bakura has a long-standing grudge against Tristan after the events of season one. While he is (as stated by his edgy ass) a puny mortal who knows nothing of magic, he is still cunning and strong enough to be a proper threat, especially since he is personally close to his host. The only reason he didn't kill him in that scene is because of a separate headcanon that the spirits in the two millennium items are biased to liking the friends of their hosts, as well as hating their enemies.
If me and my sister ever seriously wrote like a fanfiction rewrite a core element that we would want to include would be a prominent dynamic between Bakura, Yami Bakura, and Tristan. Idk, I think it would be interesting, especially since every other character pays no attention to Bakura in the show. Especially if at some point they had to work together again. Hell, the whole Yami Bakura doesn't want to kill Tristan thing could come back through Yami Bakura seeing him as a useful pawn to his schemes.
I think Tristan has a lot of thoughts on the whole thing, but doesn't know how he feels about the spirit in the ring. He obviously doesn't like the fact that Yami Bakura has to control and possess his friend, but it's not like he has any other options. He's also saved Tristan's life and refrained from killing him, so overall I think he is spirit neutral.
im gonna stop myself this is so long and im not reading over any of it again.
TLDR: Tristan and Bakura are friends, Yami Bakura hates Tristan and sees him as a threat because he foiled his plans but has a weird respect for him. Tristan has complicated feelings about the whole thing. None of my thoughts matter because the writers set all of this up and dropped it for no reason.

And here’s the third episode! Pegasus gets the most interesting heart-to-hearts in this game. @waifines We also get some insight into why Pegasus only made 4 Blue-Eyes!
Solomon: Huh!? Aren’t you... Pegasus: Oh! Mr. Muto! Solomon: Maximillion Pegasus! [Duelist Kingdom flashback] Pegasus: We’ve run out of time! Yami Yugi: !! Pegasus: How close was that!? If you had been able to complete that attack, i would have lost. Yami Yugi: ...Grr! Pegasus: I have taken the measure of your talents this day, Yugi Muto. When next we Duel, we shall play for far higher stakes! Yami Yugi: Grandpa! Pegasus: We will Duel again, Yugi! How else will you ever reclaim your Grandfather’s soul! Yami Yugi: he’s trapped inside the TV set! Solomon: Yugi.... ......Yugi...... [end flashback] Solomon: That was not a good time...But it’s in the past. And I’m not above forgiveness. There’s something I promised myself to ask you if we ever met again. Why did you stop making Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards! Pegasus: ............ Solomon: If you think they’re too powerful, you shouldn’t have created them in the first place. I find it hard to believe a game designer of your talent wouldn’t realize how strong they were. Pegasus: Since you’re related to Yugi, I’ll tell you. it’s because of the Millennium Items. Solomon: Millennium Items!? Pegasus: Though I am the creator of this game, it didn’t originate in my mind. I was inspired by what I saw in ancient Egyptian stone tablets. Solomon: Ancient Egypt! Pegasus: I didn’t create the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card because I wanted to sell it. Somewhere in my heart, I knew I needed to resurrect that card for the modern world. The same goes for the other legendary cards. Ones with the power of the Egyptian Gods... Solomon: I see....Do you think it’s fate that those cards ended up in Kaiba’s hands? Pegasus: I don’t know. But it was not for me to decide. Solomon: I have my own connection to ancient Egypt. And Yugi carries on my legacy. I wonder if it’s destiny that we ran into each other again. Except in a different world. Pegasus: Mr. Muto, you should discover where this destiny leads you. Even though I cannot join you in your travels... Solomon: If it has anything to do with Yugi, I’ll follow it to the end. Pegasus: Thank you, Mr. Muto.
