right before you throw rocks at me, this post is not about the doctor being similar to tacteun, even though, i could find the point here... this is more about the master with whom doctor acted as if she is better, who tried to change the master, who did not let the master find out who he can be on his own, because the doctor always was in the master’s life, changing it, wanting the master be like the doctor, and then, appears that doctor is in the beginning of their entire race, the master is no longer himself, and there’s no chance to be himself anymore, because doctor always will be part of him, everything he is - is because of the doctor. And she goes and tells him straight in the face - SHE IS BETTER. so he wants to hurt her, and he does it by doing something that was done to doctor, because that would mean he is superior to the doctor, and while yeah, he could hate tacteun for what she did, but
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the doctor while saying all the things that the master is the person who is the most like him, acted as the friend, he still behaved like something more
Tumblr media
and for the master he were special, while also he felt like the distant star he would never reach, something above the master, something better.
Tumblr media
i don’t know what i was trying to say here i just love being hurt and im pretty sure if we think hard enough about all of these we would find more shit to hurt ourselves so im stopping here

Could someone please do me the honor of creating this? I sadly do not have the patience or writing skills.
Doctor Who/The Labrynth fic
12 forgets Missy's b-day. She takes her revenge by tricking 13, via lipstick, into creating a Labrynth with Missy being the goblin queen. They kidnap 10&Donna, 11&ThePonds, and 12&Bill. Missy takes away the companions and tells the doctors that if they want to get them back they need to reach the goblin castle at the center of the Labrynth. The Doctors get separated after Missy goes back to her castle. Hijinks ensue, obviously it's safe 13 helped build it but not too safe Missy was there as well
-all the "kidnapped" companions plus 13's fam are watching on a large flat screen enjoying themselves immensely
-river gets a distress call from the tardis and goes to investigate
-Character roles (loosely): 12 is Sarah(obviously), 11 is Bluto, 10 is Sir didymus, 13 is Hoggle (but when he was being helpful)
-Doctor and their test: 10=bog of eternal stench, 11=firegang, 12=the masquerade, 13= trash heap
-They all meet up outside the goblin city and take it by storm
-the Doctors are pretty cross that entertainment occurred at their expense
》Nardole has been tied up the whole time《

Where I never dared to stand
Tumblr media
» Pairing: purely Spencer Reid x fem!Reader [NO JEID whatsoever] » Wordcount: 4k » Warnings: JJ's POV (3rd person), based on Where I Stood by Missy Higgins, we're staying within the realms of canon with this one - this focuses on JJ's feelings and my own interpretations regarding those, spoilers mentioned for s12!Spencer and 13×01 300, heavy spoilers for 14×15 Truth or Dare, kind of for 15×02 Awakenings too (i used a part of the conversation between JJ and Reid about what happend in 14×15), reader is Garcia's college roommate & friend, no time line mentioned but first meeting of Spencer and Reader is said to happen somewhere after JJ married Will to mid s10 (so somewhere from s8×01 to about s10×12, reader and Spencer are together when s10×13 happens), no mentions of Maeve only a vague mention that the last years have been rough for Spencer), » A/N: multiple mentions about reader being a woman / female, use of she/her pronouns, no body description, no mentions of readers clothes --- pls take a look here for more info about my reader descriptions in general » IMPORTANT!!!: i just want to say that i hated the way the writers where forcing the climax of 14×15 through out the whole s14 both on the characters and us, and i hated just about everything about the whole thing in general tbh, (after making Will such a big part of JJ's life JEID was over and done with, i never liked them as a ship in general; just wait until i'll unleash my hate for JJ in the future (hate only regarding the way she is treating Spencer, otherwise i like her for the most part)).... the only reason this fic happened in the way it is, is because i lost track of my initial plan when i got inspiration from the song, but then i kind of got carried away while writing; i tried to capture and bring out JJ's inner conflicts, the guilt she feels about all of it etc
Tumblr media
Jennifer Jareau liked you from the moment she saw you, no doubt about it. There was something about you, that uplifted the whole room you were in; it was hard to not be in a good mood when you were around.
Penelope had brought you along for a girl's night one evening. You had been her dorm room-mate in college and fate brought you back into each other's lives, when it just so happened that you moved into the same building she was living in. From then on, you joined them for girl's night on most occasions and it was just a matter of time until Penelope invited you to a party where not only the girls would be attending, but also the rest of the BAU team. It so happened to be Penelope's birthday party.
Everyone could see the sparks fly when Spencer and you met each other then. One look at the both of you was enough to see it; that this was a once in a life time, soulmate kind of thing. The kind of love you could only find in movies or books, the stuff all the cheesy romance movies JJ liked to watch were made of.
Something had stirred in her heart when she saw the two of you interact at Penelope's birthday party; a small ache, something she couldn't quite place at the time. So without further thinking about it, she brushed it away, forgetting all about it in the following days. That is, until the next time she saw the two of you. Together.
It was at one of Rossi's dinner parties not too long after Spencer and you met. Everyone was already accounted for in Rossi's backyard, except for Spencer. The doorbell rang and Rossi went to open the door; when he got back a big smile was plastered on his face and he was wiggling his brows suggestively. After him, Spencer walked in. With you. Holding hands.
Then and there the ache found it's way back into her heart, a little more persistent then the last time. This time she knew in an instant what it had been.
Jealousy. She couldn't stand your hands on him.
At the realization she had felt dizzy. Had it been any later in the evening she probably could have blamed the dizziness on the wine. But the glass she held in her hand was her first and she had barely nipped on it. No, it was because she was jealous, and the guilt she felt at the same time collided with it and mixed into an even bigger ugly thing that almost swept her off her feet.
Here she was, standing next to her husband and the father of her child, feeling jealous over another woman holding hands with her friend; a friend who she knew once had a thing for her, a friend who she may have had a thing for herself at one point but never even had went on a date with - actively avoided it even, if you thought about it. A friend, who she shouldn't have any feelings for that would call for her to be jealous when he got romantically involved with someone else.
A friend, she instead should be nothing less than happy for, after all the shit he had to go through in his life. She should be happy, that he finally had something good in his life, something that made him smile, something that made him happy. All she wanted was for him to be happy.
Will had commented that Spencer and you looked good together, that you made a cute couple. No matter who much that jealous part of her hated it, she had to agree.
That night at Rossi's she drank a couple more glasses of wine to flush out her confusing emotions than she maybe should have. When someone said something, she successfully played it off as being able to let go for an evening since her mother was watching Henry for the whole weekend. Luckily Will was okay with it, and even was pampering her the next day when she had a bad case of hangover.
After a short time, when JJ had sorted out her feelings, she really was happy for Spencer. So incredibly happy for him; that he had found his person. His safe haven. His forever.
And everyone could see it. That the two of you were perfect for each other.
She didn't think she had seen him this happy since... Ever, actually. Life had never been exactly easy on Spencer, but the last years had been especially rough for him. You were his rock when Gideon died, were there for him when his mom got worse and additionally stayed with her when he had to leave for a case after he took her in – oh, how much Diana loved you. You were the only person except for Spencer who she would let come close when she had an episode and was chasing the nurses away he hired. After he had been arrested in Mexico you as good as moved into his place to help (the nurse with) Diana. Whenever JJ came to visit her with the boys, she was amazed by the way you cared for Diana, so patient and understanding and affectionate, and how she would let you take care of her.
When Spencer had to go on mandatory leave after prison and the whole shit-show with Cat, JJ watched as you broke down the walls he had build around his heart in those three months he was locked away. She watched as you crumbled them down until you reached him again and then you gave him a new ground to build on, a ground back in safety and trust and love.
You broke his walls down, like JJ would never have been able to. Sometimes she wasn't sure if she could stand the fact, she just knew she should.
Back then, all those years ago when Spencer had sat down next to her on the jet with the Red Skin's tickets in his hand and asked her to go, she was scared. She knew that now, had realized it when Spencer and Penelope had been abducted by Meadows and the Messiah, when Emily spoke with her in the restroom and JJ was going crazy with worry about her best friends. Before, it had never really clicked for her, that maybe that was why she had invited Penelope to come with them to the game. Because a little voice in the back of her head had been whispering to her telling her to run, to turn away from him. She was scared of what could be, of what others might say and think.
Scared of hurting Spencer.
Deep down, she knew even back then, that she wasn't right for him.
And then, a year later, she met Will and the more serious their relationship got, the more any feelings for Spencer became platonic in nature. And it was good the way it was: working with each other, being friends. Maybe even something like best friends. It was enough.
She was happy with Will. She loved Will. She couldn't imagine life without him. The what if's and could have been's about Spencer hadn't been on JJ's mind in a very, very long time. Never really gone if she had to be honest, but not at the forefront of her thoughts all the same.
Tumblr media
And since being honest was the keyword for today, here in this jewellery store forced with a gun pointing at her and Spencer and the other hostage, a rapid back and forth that could spiral more out of control with every passing second, the Truth she had to admit today, could change everything she had in her life.
"Truth." JJ swallowed after she said it and bit on the insides of her cheeks. Stand strong, show no fear; that was what she repeated in her head again and again, trying to fight of the raging panic that kept rising up in her chest ever since the guy had fired a warning shot in Spencer's direction just a moment ago.
"I want you to say something, you're afraid to say", the Unsub spat through gritted teeth. Saliva was pooling at the corners of his lips and the hand he was holding the gun in was shaking uncontrollably, “That you'd never tell anybody. And you better make it good!” He didn't take a step closer, he only shifted his weight from one foot to the other, but with the way he accentuated every word he was screaming with a movement of his hand, she felt like he was coming closer. Like he was placing the barrel of the gun closer to her body with every twitch, until he'd be able to press it right onto her sternum. “'Cause if it's not, it's gonna be the last thing you ever say!”
Her nostrils flared as she took a slow breath in, trying to calm her nerves enough to find an answer and to give him the answer without a waver in her voice.
“What's it gonna be?” This time when he shifted his weight, he did take a small step closer to her.
By the way her nose was aching and her eyes were burning she knew it would only be a matter of moments until the tears would fall. She blinked to keep the tears away a bit longer and avoiding eye contact with the Unsub, only looking at him for a second. When she answered, she cursed herself for how shaky her voice was. “There are only four people it trust in this world.”
“Boring”, he commented in a weird sing-sang before he pointed the weapon down and shot the Judge in the leg. The gun was immediately pointed back at JJ. “Next!”
The gunshot had drowned out the whimper she hadn't been able to hold back. And when the deadly attention was back on her, she immediately went back in to position - stand strong, show no fear. The second part almost wasn't manageable any more for her. “Uhm”, she let out, again racking her brain for an answer, something the would finally accept. What could she say? What was she willing to say?
“My, uhm.” The pained whimpers of the woman in front of her as she slowly slid down the cabinet distracted her, she wasn't sure if she was welcoming the distraction or not. JJ felt bad for even remotely feeling thankful that the woman was in pain. “My baby, I lost, I um-”, she looked around, first meeting the Unsubs gaze, then at a random point at the wall and back to him. The emotions bubbling up in her almost choked her and she had to clear her throat. She didn't want to tell him this, but she had to. “- wanted to name her Maggie.”
“BULL!”, he screamed and JJ jumped. “Come on, you can do better than that!” Again, waving the gun, closer and closer.
Spencer tried to get his attention and pull it away from her, calling out the Unsub's name. “Casey...!”
Now the gun was pointed at Spencers head. “SHUT UP!” And again with the uncontrolled waving and twitching. JJ felt like she couldn't breathe.
She jumped again when Casey suddenly was right in front of her, forcefully grabbing into the hair at the back of her head, pushing her down to her knees with the tight grip and possibly even pulling some strands out. “Okay, okay..”, she mumbled, whimpered. What could she say?
“Last chance! Something you'd never say aloud. Not even to your partner here.” For a moment he waved his gun at Spencer again. “Your deepest, darkest secret. Impress me, or I'll kill him.”
It was the first thing that came to her mind when the Unsub demanded this, and threatened Spencer's life. It was the only thing that fought its way through the panic. The panic that had clouded her mind for anything else but the need for survival. Hers. Spencers.
She couldn't hold back her tears any more. In a desperate attempt to catch Spencer's gaze, she darted her eyes to his direction. At the same time the guilt that was already coming over her and trying to pull her down, before she even said one word and it made her look away from him.
“COME ON!”
So she said it. Hoping, it would be enough to save their lives. Hoping, her fear of losing her best friend would stay just that. A fear. Hoping, that they would walk out of here alive and that nothing would change between them. That even after saying what she was about to say, they could go on like before, that they would be okay. Selfish as it was, JJ couldn't lose him. She just didn't know who she was without Spencer in her life. Her best friend, her confidant. Her fi-... She knew she should know it, that it made no sense to feel like this. But she couldn't help needing him.
With a shy look on her face, she turned to her friend, took a deep breath.
"Spence, uhm,” she started, shooting him a pained smile to ease his nerves and her own. And he looked at her, waiting for her to continue, with a sad but still vary and concentrated shimmer in his eyes. He was sitting weidly stiff and there was ovment in his shoulders but she wasn't able to focus on anything else than his face.
Or not, because JJ had to look away. She didn't think she could say this while directly looking at him. This was just too...
“I've always loved you", she admits, helplessly shrugging her shoulder as she said it. You meant more to me than anyone I loved before you, before Will.
It took Spencer a moment to understand, what she is saying. How she meant those three words, that they had said a lot of times to each other over the years, in a platonic way.
His eyes slightly widened when the words sink in. The true meaning behind them.
“And I wasjusttooscaredtosay it before.” Her words came out in a blur, almost undistinguishable. She exhaled and looked away, shook the hair out of her face with a quick motion of her head. And as she tried to bite back her tears, she scoffed. “And now, things are just”, the sob leaving her throat almost sounded like a laugh, “far too complicated to say it now.” I am married and have kids, my kids are your godsons. You have a girlfriend, the love of your life waiting for you at home. These are the things she didn't say, didn't need to say. Didn't want to say in front of everyone else in the room.
Maybe she did laugh. The situation was so absurd, so surreal. It almost didn't feel real if there wouldn't be this gun pointed at her.
With tears running down her face she forced herself to look at Spencer. “I'm sorry”, she breathed out. “But you should know.” In case I die here. In case you die here. I had to let you know.
He didn't give away what he was thinking or feeling, had closed off the expressions on his face after the initial shock. The whisper of a sad smile stretched his lips as an acknowledgement when she stopped talking.
The giggle the Unsub let out, made the bile rise into JJ's throat.
“Hot damn”, he laughed, switching between looking at her and Spencer. “That's what I'm talking about.”
Neither of them looked up at the man standing over them, caught in a silent conversation. Did I just destroy everything? - Don't worry. At least that was what she hoped he was saying with his eyes.
“Now those are some last words right there.” Could this guy please, please, please just stop waving the god damn gun around!?
For the fracture of a second, everything fell from JJ's shoulders. The guilt, the sorrow, the fear. She did it, her confessions had been enough. Worthy of saving them. Just when the muscles in her body relaxed, the gun was pointed back right in to her face, mere inches away. “But not good enough to safe your life!” Spit landed on her face.
JJ readied herself, even with the immense fear shooting through her whole body so harsh her body felt numb. The hole of the barrel drew her eyes to it, hypnotized her. For some reason, she started a countdown in her head.
Three, two – BANG!
Casey's legs gave out and he grunted as his weapon fell out of his hand and he helds his stomach. Then, he collapsed, his dead-weight body falling into the space between her and Spencer. Her brain had problems catching up after already checking out, after making some kind of peace with her immediate death.
She looked from the dead body, to Spencer and the gun in his hand, too stunned to ask or think about how he had managed to free his hands and where the gun came from.
Tumblr media
They didn't speak a word to each other after their team burst in, there neither had been the time nor a fitting occasion to talk. They didn't speak until some time later in the evening, after the team made it back, just in time to get cleaned up and celebrate David's & Krystall's marriage.
When they finally shared some words when they both headed to the bar to get something to drink, they didn't talk long.
JJ was nervous. A whole lot of new what if's regarding Spencer were now on her mind. What if he hates me now? What if he wants nothing to do with me any more? What if he leaves me? She hated herself for being so selfish when the last one crossed her mind. She had been prepared to take this secret with her to her grave. But she had needed to say some thing real, something that would not only get the Unsubs attention, but also Spencers. Only then could she have made sure to get a chance at getting them out of there. She was sorry for spilling her secret, for doing this to him and burdening him with it. But now it was out an she couldn't take it back.
“So I, uh, I didn't get a chance to... say it back there, but...”, she started before saying anything else about her confession, having to start the conversation at least somewhere. “Thank you... for saving my life.” She smiled at him.
“You're welcome.” He nodded his head, a small smile stretching in his lips as well. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” She laughed nervously. “So uh, Luke was right, two guns, huh? Since when have you been wearing an ankle holster?”
“Around the time I got out of prison”, Spencer smirked.
“Right.” JJ nodded, then quickly looked away, internally working herself up to get the next words out, the ones she so desperately wanted to ask him. “Look, uh, I... Are- are we, okay?” That was all she could hope for at this point. It was all she wanted. That they were okay.
He smiled at her reassuringly and nodded. “Of course.” His smile and the soft tone his voice held eased her nerves instantly.
She held back a sigh of relief and smiled. “Good.”
They fell silent as they wait, Spencer for his water and JJ for a glass of wine. She softly drummed the tips of her finger on the wood, before she turned around to find where you were standing. When your name fell from her lips Spencers eyes darted to you, not even having to search the room. Like a magnetic pull, something that just came natural to him, knowing where to find you. “She looks beautiful tonight.”
Spencer silently nods as his eyes roam your body, how the fabric of your outfit hugged itself around you. “Yeah”, he breathes out, almost inaudibly. “She is.”
The glass clinking as the drinks were served caught her attention and she turned to take hers into her hand. With her free hand she touched Spencers arm and squeezed lightly. Their gazes met and they shared a smile before she walked away.
Just when JJ got back to the table the music changed into a soft and slow tune. Will took the glass form her hand and pulled her away to dance with her. Happy, she leaned into him, and enjoyed the moment. Enjoyed being in his arms.
She couldn't help but look as Spencer and you found your way to other side of the dance floor. He pulled you so close to him, not even a sheet of paper would have had space between the both of you. He was smiling down at you as you were slowly swaying to the rhythm of the music together and you were smiling up at him just as bright. Lost in each others eyes. Every so often he would lift your intertwined hands from his chest up to plant a kiss to your knuckles, or he would brush the tip of his nose against yours before he stole a quick kiss from your lips. Not for one second losing the bright smile, that all but screamed that he was drunk on love.
Spencer was JJ's first love, and the first love is something special, something you can't just erase out of your heart as if it never had made it's home in there in the first place. He was a big piece of her heart and would always be. But she had never even dared to try and stand where you were standing now. By his side; as his partner, his equal. His other half. His forever.
Even if she wouldn't have Will and her two beautiful boys - and don't get me wrong, she wouldn't trade her life with her family for the world-, the way the two of you were clinging to each other right now, looking like you were deeply sunken into your own little universe where no one else existed; and so full of bliss and love for each other... There was no way she would destroy this, no way she would break you two apart.
There was nothing in the world that could break Spencer and you apart.
JJ couldn't hear what you were whispering about, she could only guess by the way you looked at each other and giggled occasionally. The longer you danced it seemed like you were melting into each other, merging your bodies and souls together to form one.
Emily's speech from earlier ringed in her ears then. Penelope says, that this was fate. That [their marriage] was in the stars. [They] are twin flames. Two souls, that are always meant to be together. […] The thing about twin flames is, that nothing can keep them apart.
It was similar to something she had heard Spencer himself say once: "There's an old Buddhist saying, that, when you meet your soulmate, […] the act to bring you together was 500 years in the making." She thought both descriptions were fitting for what you and Spencer had.
As she let her eyes linger on your swaying forms, she suddenly felt like she was intruding something personal and intimate, so she averted her gaze and turned her head away. She rested her cheek against her husbands chest as she faced the other way and closed her eyes. JJ hugged Will closer and as his own hold on her tightened he rested his chin on the crown of her head.
It wasn't fair that she loved Spencer. Because she loved Will and her two boys too. Her family had made her who she was. But so had Spencer.
It wasn't fair to anyone involved.
She had never meant to hurt him, never. She just wanted him to be happy. And you made him happy.
No matter who much she loves Spencer now, had loved him before and would continue to love him, she could never love him as much as you did; the woman who stood where JJ never even had dared to stand.,

interview
"Hi y/n, welcome to London!" Marie, the interviewer said.
"Thank you! I am really enjoying looking around." y/n said smiling, her bright smile as sweet as always as they got straight into the interview.
"Well, obviously you are wonderous, three golds at the Worlds already this year, I mean being 19 and so talented, what is that like?" Marie asked.
"Very, very stressful." y/n said with a laugh and the group watching her laughed a little too.
"I bet." Marie nodded.
"I think also, because I am naturally quite a happy person, it seems to have shown during interviews and cameras so now I feel like I cannot be angry or upset, because everyone expects something else from me." y/n explained and Marie nodded.
The interview continued for a bit, until Marie got to her final section, smiling at the young girl who hadn't stopped making the room chuckle since she stepped foot in it.
"And finally, we know you are a big football fan, you have talked about it a lot, who is your favourite player?" Marie asks.
"I think that such a hard question because I like so many players for so many reasons, but I mean Sofie Lundgaard, she's fantastic. Also, pretty, Sofie, I'm single." y/n said.
She looked toward the second camera as she spoke, making everyone laugh again before the interview wrapped up.
"Oh my! She knows who I am?" Sofie asks as she looks up from the video, tearing her eyes from the stunning girl as Rachel snorted, used to the Danish girl's obsession with the swimmer.
"Yep." Yana grins, popping the 'p' with her lips.
"Great, she'll be unbearable now." Missy sighs as the group walk out to warm up on the pitch, Sofie stuck her tongue out at her friend, leaving over to push her when Yana spat out some water.
Both Missy and Sofie shrieked, jumping out of the way but Yana was focussed on something in the stands, and when Sofie and Missy turned they both gasped.
y/n was sat happily in the stands, talking to one of her friends who must have come over from Denmark with her for the few days of interviews she had.
Sofie's eyes had doubled in size as she took in the gorgeous girl, smooth skin and sweet dimples which had appeared as she threw her head back, laughing at her friend.
"Come on love bird." Missy sighed and Sofie tore her eyes away as they began to run.

Sofie sat laughing with her teammate Yana as they answered questions for an interview which would go on the Youtube channel, Yana grinning evilly when asked what Sofie liked to watch as a test of their friendship.
"Sofie here is really into her swimming, you, patriot for Denmark and all that." Yana grins. "Though, with how many competitions of a certain Denmark swimmer she watches, I don't know... Maybe it's not the swimming." Yana hums.
"Shut up!" Sofie hisses but the crew had already begun to laugh, causing Sofie to groan and throw her head against the table with a thump.
Yana grins evilly at the camera before feeling a little bad for the blonde and rubbing her back kindly as Sofie leans back up and sighs.
"What can I say? I love my home country." She hums and this again causes everyone to burst out laughing.

y/n took a deep breath in, her limbs weightless as they floated around her, the swimmer took another deep breath before pushing of the wall and beginning to swim down toward the other side.
The pool she had found was not busy, maybe because it was half six on a Sunday morning. But y/n could never go a few days without swimming, the water was more home than ground was.
y/n did several lengths before she came to a stop, head popping up before she pushed herself underneath the water, using the side to hold her underneath.
The world quietened and blurred above her, the water for that minute, kept her safe. However, she hadn't taken a deep enough breath for longer than a minute and a half, and so pushed herself back up and to sit on the side.
y/n sat quietly, regulating her breath once more as she watched her feet in the water, her braided hair now heavy against her suit clad back.
It was only after a minute, did y/n realise she was no longer alone. She turned her head, looking in the next lane, where to her surprise, Sofie Lundgaard was, head lent back and eyes shut as she floated for a moment in the water.
Her muscled shoulder tensed as she kept herself afloat, and y/n suddenly felt very hot as she lowered herself back into the water to try and ignore the woman beside her.
"Ingen er her normalt på dette tidspunkt." Sofie hummed as she looked back up.
no one is usually here at this time.
"Jeg bliver stort set sindssyg, hvis jeg ikke svømmer i et par dage." y/n admitted with a soft laugh.
I pretty much go insane if I don't swim for a few days.
"Really?" Sofie asked, not overly aware she had slipped into English.
"Yeah, more at home in the water than on land mum used to say." y/n smiled softly relaxing back, her eyes darted up to the clock, showing 6:48.
Sofie and y/n didn't talk much for the new few minutes, an occasional comment or question with an answer would be thrown, but for a bit they just swam side by side, enjoying the feeling of one another's company.
When the clock hit 7:30, y/n sighed and slid up the pool side. Sofie gulped and looked away from the muscled arms which tensed as they pushed y/n from the water.
y/n smiled at Sofie, nodding as she grabbed her towel and walked toward the changing rooms, but as she went to leave the room she changed her mind.
"Would you like to get breakfast?" y/n asked as she turned to face Sofie.
"Thought you would never ask." The blonde grinned and pushed herself out of the water as well.

y/n hummed as she prepared for her final race of the day, it was just a friendly, Denmark's best against each other, but that did not mean she was not prepared.
She had gotten back to Denmark a week ago, after spending three weeks in London, a trip which had lengthened for no specific reason.
She heard the call, the shot and then she dived as soon as she hit the water, y/n knew, she knew she had won, because she was away suddenly.
She pulled ahead, a good few strokes from everyone else, she turned and pushed again, knowing this one was only two lengths. Which after a week of long racing was nice to think.
She pulled ahead further, the commentator shocked as anything as she slammed her hand on the wall, sighing in relief as she pulled herself up, shocked at the way her coach had paused.
"Hvad?" She asked him.
what?
"Hvad?" She asked again, pulling a towel around her body to keep her warm. Her coach just turned her body and pointed to two letters next to her name.
DR
Danish Record.
y/n let out a yell of shock, her fellow swimmers running over to congratulate her as she slammed her hand over her mouth, eyes trying to find someone, who once they had been found grinned wildly.
y/n grinned back, looking briefly at the pool before grabbing her coach and fellow swimmers, the group all jumping in, her coach slightly begrudgingly.
Breaking records was something y/n had been doing from the age of 14, and every time she did, she would jump into the pool. But y/n had just been thrown into today's race as a back up, almost as a joke.
Because breaststroke was not her stroke, but she had somehow just broken a Danish record with it. How? She didn't know nor care as she and her fellow swimmers sunk into the waves of blue, being watched by a very proud blonde.

"Mama" you were woken up by your 4 year old girl Lola at 7:30 by her squishing your cheeks, you fluttered your eyes.
"Hi Lol'" you smiled "what are you doing up so early?" you and your wife and 3 children decided to go on a holiday to California for 10 days, 5 in disneyland and the rest you decided to just explore the rest of California, you and JJ had only been there for cases so you figured you could at least take a look around while you were here.
"Beach" she smiled letting go of your cheeks and lying down flat on your body.
"You wanna go to the beach today?" you chuckled.
"Mhmm" she smiled.
"We'll try our best okay? I can't promise that we can because we have to see what everyone else wants to do, but if we all say yes we'll take you to the beach okay baby, does that seem fair?" you kissed her forehead and swiped the hair out of her face before rubbing her back, she nodded and slowly fell back asleep.
Your wife, JJ, stirred next to you as she started to wake "Good morning Y/N/N, I love you" you held Lola as you leaned down to kiss JJ "Good morning Lol'" Lola woke up at hearing her name.
"Mommy?" she questioned half asleep.
"It's me honey" JJ smiled kissing the top of Lola's head.
"Good morning baby" you grinned "sleep okay?" you questioned as you rubbed Lola's back.
"Yeah" she nodded "How's Lola up?" she furrowed her brow, preparing to hear the worst.
"Missy's hoping for a beach day" you tickled her.
"Oh yeah?" JJ smirked.
"Yeah" Lola smiled back.
You were about to say something when your 1 year old started crying "I'll go get her" she smiled kissing you and then walking out of the room.
"You wanna stay here or go with mommy to get Rory?"
"Rory" Lola smiled climbing off you to run to your one year old Aurora.
"Alright, I'll go wake up Ellie" you smiled.
"Elle?" you knocked on the door quietly not to startle her, she had recently turned 13 and was heavily stuck in the "I'm a teenager now" phase which you and JJ dreaded but you know that you could handle it.
"Go away, too early" she flung herself around onto her stomach and groaned into the pillow.
"Ha ha" you said as sarcastically as you could as you sat on the end of her bed, "we're having a beach day if you wanna join us?" you smiled knowing Ellie would never refuse a beach day.
Ellie slowly turned around and sat up "a beach day?" she furrowed her eyebrows.
"Yep" you and Ellie both looked at the door to see JJ holding Rory holding her blanket in one hand with and a spare apple juice for Ellie in the other, with Lola drinking an apple juice in front of her "beach day" JJ repeated as she placed the drink next to Ellie.
"Thanks" Ellie whispered to JJ as she leaned down to kiss her head.
"No problem" she smiled "we're gonna leave soon so get ready" she announced to everyone.
"Beach dayyyyyyyy" Lola said excitedly jumping up and down.
"How many of those has she had?" you laughed to JJ nodding your head to her empty apple juice.
"One" JJ laughed, just as shocked as you were.
"Who wants ice cream?" you smiled as you held Rory in your arms walking behind JJ who had most of the bags in her hand, Ellie had some whilst holding Lola's hand, JJ walking behind them.
"I do I do" Lola turned around.
"We'll find a space and then we can get some? okay Lol'" you smiled.
"Okay" she nodded turning around, she looked up at Ellie who smiled at her, Lola doing the same, you watched them talk about random things until JJ pulled you out of your thoughts.
"Here okay?" she bent down to place the bags on the floor and get your towels out to sunbathe after you nodded your head.
"Yep" Lola smiled as she exaggerated the "p"
"Thanks Jen" you smiled as you leaned down to kiss your wife on her head.
"Jen?" Lola looked up at you with a confused face "who's that?" she shrugged, Ellie and JJ laughed slightly.
"Me baby" JJ turned around to face Lola.
"Your name is JJ though?" Lola's face grew even more confused.
"Mommy's name is Jennifer sweetheart" you chuckled "You know how your name is Lola but we call you Lol' and how your sisters are called Ellie and Aurora but we call them Elle and Rory, those are called nicknames, names that are shorter and sometimes easier to say when you're in a rush or when the names are tooooooo long" you laughed a little bit, everyone around you also laughing, Lola nodded slowly still trying to understand what you were getting at "Well, we call mommy JJ cause that's her nickname, but mommy has more than one nickname, sometimes I call her JJ, sometimes I call her Jen, sometimes I call her Jayje" you said as you sat on the towel that JJ had placed out for her.
JJ sat on the towel next to you, with Lola curled up on her side and Ellie's head on her lap, Rory sitting in your hip.
"Elle?" you questioned "do you want to come with me to get some icecream?" you smiled slightly, something was bothering her and you couldn't quite figure it out, you thought maybe if she was on her own with you then you might get around to it.
"Sure mom" she smiled lifting herself up from JJ's lap by her elbows.
"Great" you smiled as you handed Rory to your wife "what ice cream do you want?" you spoke to Lola and JJ.
Lola stamped a finger to her chin and thought for a while "vanilla no chocolate no" everyone laughed "strawberry" she finally decided.
"Mint chocolate chip for me please" JJ grinned looking up at you.
You looked over at Ellie who shrugged "I'll decide on the way"
"You having a good time honey?" you spoke softly at Ellie.
"Mhmm, just missing my friends" she replied honestly.
"That's okay, you'll see them in 4 days, you can use my phone to call them if you want?" you offered as Ellie's phone broke on the second day here, Lola accidentally dropped it off one of the baby rides and it smashed.
"Really?" Ellie beamed at you.
"Sure" you smiled.
"No problem" you kissed the top of her head "is anything else going on? or just that you miss your friends?" your hands landed on her shoulders as you got to the back of the queue.
"Mom there is one thing" Ellie turned around to see you, your hands still on her shoulders "I'm just really worried and nervous to start this new school" you could see Ellie's heartbreak, you could tell she was nervous about this and that it was eating her up.
"Oh babe, why didn't you say anything sooner?" you hugged her tightly.
"I don't know, you and mom are just always working, and with Lola and Rory, I thought you didn't have enough time to hear my problems" Ellie cried.
"Baby listen to me" you pulled her out of the queue and bent down so you matched her height "you, Lola, and Rory are the most important things to me and mom, our work should never and will never come before you guys and I'm really sorry if I ever made you feel like that before, but I want you to have a relationship with your mom and I where you feel comfortable telling us about things, I never want you to feel like you can't tell me or your mom something okay?" you smiled gently, Ellie doing the same.
"Okay, I love you" Ellie sniffed.
"I love you so much Elle" you hugged her "come on" you held out your hand for the ice cream queue.
You and Ellie walked back to where your wife and children were, you made Lola sit down before handing the ice cream to her, she thanked you profusely earning a small giggle from everyone else.
You all sat down and ate your ice cream, everyone was quiet they were either enjoying their ice cream or looking at the calm of the water.
"Does anyone want to swim?" JJ spoke up.
"I do" Ellie replied.
"Let's go" JJ stood up and placed Rory down in her chair which was placed in the middle of you and JJ and held out her hand for Ellie to take making her slightly embarrassed which made you laugh a little to yourself.
"Do you wanna go swim with mommy or stay with me baby?" you spoke softly to Lola.
"Stay" you could tell she was getting a little tired so you shuffled back a little on your chair so Lola could lie down on you comfortably whilst being able to watch over Rory at the perfect angle.
Rory fell asleep first and Lola wasn't long to go after, she shuffled herself to watch JJ and Ellie swimming, your one hand on Lola's back and the other on Aurora's chair bouncing it slightly so she stays asleep.
"Mommy and Elle mama" Lola pointed to them splashing in the sea.
"It is honey" you smiled, swiping the hair off her forehead.
"Are you sure you don't want to play with them?" you asked once more, just in case.
Lola nodded before curling herself into you more, you kissed her forehead as she drifted off, you watched your wife and daughter in the sea whilst absentmindedly rubbing Lola's back to help her to sleep, every couple of seconds your eyes shot down to a sleeping 1 year old.
"How was that?" you whispered as you smiled at Ellie who ran over to you.
"So much fun" Ellie whispered back as she quickly realised why you were whispering "mom is such a good swimmer she should be a competitive swimmer" you and Ellie laughed.
"Sure" JJ came up behind Ellie and placed her arms on her shoulders.
"You wanna head back to the hotel or do you wanna swim?" JJ asked.
"I'll swim" you smiled "can you take her?" you nodded your chin to Lola.
"Absolutely" JJ smiled taking the four year old into her arms.
"I'll swim with you" Ellie offered.
"See you in a bit okay?" you leaned down to kiss JJ and Lola, you reached down to kiss Rory, who smiled in her sleep.
You came back a little while later to find a hyper Lola and an awake Rory, Lola was running around JJ and Rory was calming Rory down.
"Hey hey hey" you walked over to your now stressed wife to take Rory in your arms "what's going on? what happened?" you smiled at JJ gently.
"Lola got into the sweets and the drinks whilst I took my eyes off her for one second" JJ groaned and chocked back a sob almost.
"Alright alright okay um Elle" you nodded to the baby for her to take, you wrapped your arms around your now almost hysterical wife "take a walk, seriously, get some ice cream, take Elle or go alone but please I got this" your foreheads touched.
"I'll take Elle to get some ice cream and we'll get some ice cream for everyone" JJ took a deep breath "you're so perfect" she whispered as she kissed you once more.
You smirked slightly "I love you" you reached down to pack up the small things first before they left.
"Elle come here" you called her over as you took Rory from her arms "you okay to get some ice cream with your mom?" you looked at her with desperate eyes, she nodded and smiled, she ran over to JJ and hugged her from he side, JJ's arm fell around her shoulder as she stroked it lightly as they walked.
"Home?" Lola looked up at you with sad eyes, almost knowing that she was naughty.
"Home" you repeated.
"Why? I was having soooooooo much funnn" Lola drawled.
"Lo" you bent down to kiss her forehead, almost sensing JJ's frustration right now, you were thankful that Rory was sleeping "we did have fun didn't we" you encouraged her to talk whilst you packed away everything "why don't you tell me your favourite thing about today whilst you put your shoes on hmm?" you spoke absentmindedly whilst putting Rory in her pram.
"No shoes mama" Lola huffed.
"Lo, don't be naughty, put them on" you huffed.
"No shoes, I stay here" she screamed as she slammed her foot in to the sand.
"Lola Jareau, shoes. right now." you took a deep breath.
"No" she screamed again only this time waking up Rory, Aurora started to cry.
"Lola" you turned around to see her looking away from you, knowing what she did wasn't right.
"Shit" you muttered under your breath as you know had two crying babies.
You finally managed to calm Rory down, Lola sat down and faced away from you the entire time just watching the water.
You finally packed everything away when JJ and Ellie came over, you explained the situation and they agreed to take Rory and start walking off without you whilst you talked to Lola.
"Do you have anything to say Lol'?" you questioned as you sat next to her, putting an arm around her.
"Was I a bad girl today?" she looked up at you with red eyes.
"Lola you're never a bad girl, okay?" you sighed "but what you did just now wasn't good okay, it was a bad thing but you're not a bad girl"
"Okay mama" she sniffed as she climbed into your lap.
"But Lola please, whenever me or your mommy or Elle asks you to do something you do it" you sighed.
"I put my shoes on. right now" Lola grinned as she climbed off your lap to put her shoes on.
"Thats my girl" you kissed her forehead, you did her velcro up and then you did a once more over to see if you missed anything, whilst you were sure that you had everything, you picked Lola up to meet everyone.
You met up with JJ not long after, you found her at the car, Ellie was putting the bags in the boot whilst JJ was strapping Rory in her car seat.
"Hey babe" you kissed the side of JJ's head.
"Oh, hey honey" she whipped her head around she whispered to you "I'll talk to you later, not in in front of the kids" she smiled as you both realised she had been crying again.
"Mommy cry?" Lola looked up at JJ.
"Yeah Lola, mommy was crying but she's feeling better now" JJ smiled as she took Lola from your arms to hold her whilst you helped Ellie put the things away.
You held the door open as Ellie sat in the middle of Lola and Aurora, Lola climbed in but needed help with her seatbelt from JJ.
"I'll drive" you whispered to your wife as you walked around to the driver side.
The hotel was about an hour away from the beach, you had been on the road for about 20 minutes, before Lola and Rory fell asleep.
"You should get some rest too, honey" you smiled at Ellie through the mirror, she nodded as she tried to sleep.
"You alright?" you whispered to JJ as you linked her fingers with yours, pulling them up to kiss her knuckles.
"Yeah just overwhelmed" she replied honestly.
"We got this Jayje" you sighed, she looked back at the sleeping children in the back as she smiled to herself making you smile too.
"We got this" JJ repeated.
"You know what's so funny?" JJ questioned after you drove in silence.
"Hmm?" you looked over to her for a second.
"How we can walk over to grown men with guns and look them in the eyes and talk them into putting their gun down but we couldn't get a four year old to put her shoes on cause she had a sugar rush" you and JJ laughed out loud.
A couple of minutes later JJ started to yawn "go to sleep babe" you said absentmindedly as you took her hand in yours.
"I'm not tired" she said with a yawn, you chuckled to yourself "okay fine" she sighed dramatically, making you laugh as she shuffled down slightly, making herself comfortable to go to sleep.
You were 15 minutes away from the hotel whilst Lola started to stir "hon, go to sleep" you smiled at her through the mirror again just like you did with Ellie, Lola nodded and easily fell asleep, you pulled up back to the hotel, you quietly woke JJ up, you both smiled at each other before you undid your seatbelt and you both leaned into each other and met in the middle to kiss.
"Gross" Ellie rolled her eyes, making you both laugh hard.
"Come on" you patted JJ's thigh before you both jumped out, you got Lola out of the car and JJ got the pram out of the back whilst you and Ellie helped her with the bags and Rory.
You got to the hotel a few minutes later, you laid down on the bed with Lola curled up to the side of you, Ellie on the other side, whilst JJ was walking around with Aurora.
"You doing okay?" you spoke up to JJ who was walking around with Rory.
JJ looked at you softly "I just love you so much"
"I love you too" you smiled back taking in how perfect your life was.

Quarry - Chapter 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) x f!reader
Summary: Din Djarin is on what he expects to be his last bounty hunt for Greef Karga. After all, Nevarro is swiftly moving away from its previous reputation as a Guild member’s paradise, and Din has more important concerns now, like finding a Jedi to train his mysterious foundling. However, after capturing a wanted starship engineer who would rather go anywhere other than “home,” the Mandalorian is forced to reassess his priorities.
Your taste of freedom had been brief but glorious. Now you are a prisoner of the most infamous bounty hunter in the Outer Rim – it’s only a matter of time before he turns you in. There isn’t much you would not do to keep from being sent home, but as you find yourself growing closer to your captor and his strange little companion, you start to wonder whether escape is really what you want.
Set after Chapter 13: The Jedi but before Chapter 14: The Tragedy.
Chapter Tags & Warnings: Reader is Mando's bounty, second-person POV, no use of Y/N, minimal descriptors of reader character, starship mechanics

As Mando vanished from sight, the brash, curly-headed engineer he had left you with sighed heavily and grinned down at Grogu, cradled contentedly in her arms.
“All right, kiddo – what do you say we have a little something to eat, and then we get started on those repairs, eh?” Peli said, tapping him softly on the nose. Grogu squealed and wiggled his ears in agreement, and you couldn’t help but smile a bit at that. You admittedly hadn’t known him for very long, but you were beginning to understand that nothing inspired as much enthusiasm in the kid as the suggestion of food.
“How about you, missy? You hungry?” she added, this time directed at you.
What a question. Were you hungry, you wondered? At this point, you had fully lost track of how long you had been with Mando, how many hours – or days – it had been since you had last eaten. Or drank anything. Or relieved yourself. Or done anything even remotely close to caring for yourself.
In that moment, with that single question, if felt as though all your neglected needs came crashing into your body at the same time. Hunger yawned, wide and all-consuming, in your gut, leaving you feeling a bit faint. Your throat was drier than Tatooine’s characteristic desert air. And you found that you might end up making a fool of yourself if you didn’t find a refresher soon.
“Actually,” you said tentatively, “would it be all right if I used your ‘fresher? I was going to ask Mando before he took off, but – ”
“But he’s got that kriffing awful ship head all exposed out in the open, right?” Peli finished knowingly.
You nodded. “Yeah. Not used to having passengers, I guess,” you replied as you tried not to bounce up and down on your toes waiting for her response.
The engineer laughed, loud and easy. “I guess that just goes to show that no matter where you are in the galaxy, a bachelor is a bachelor!” You offered a small chuckle in response – she was right, of course, but you had more pressing matters to deal with than commiserating about the galaxy’s men. “Have at it, honey,” she said finally, waving you deeper into the hangar. “Inside the office, all the way in the back. You’ll see it. But – make it quick!” she added, pointing a finger at you that clearly communicated that she would be coming after you if you were gone for a suspicious amount of time.
“Sure, of course, thank you,” you reassured her hurriedly, and before the chatty woman could say anything more, you darted toward the enclosed office space.
Luckily for you, the office was small, and your new babysitter had been right – the ‘fresher was mercifully easy to find. You accomplished what you needed to accomplish with little fuss after that, thank the Maker, and you were even able to take a few moments to freshen up at the sink. The water was surprisingly cool on your face and neck as you washed away the dirt and sweat from the last few days, and your long, disheveled hair greatly benefited from the rough finger comb you were able to give it before re-doing your braid. There wasn’t much you could do about your dusty boilersuit, but you at least managed to cuff your sleeves up to your elbows and unbutton a few buttons to help with the desert heat. By the time you re-entered the hangar, you were almost feeling like yourself again – apart from the gnawing hunger and biting thirst, of course.
You spotted Peli settled in the shady portion of the hangar on a small barrel that she had pulled up to a rickety, rusted card table, while Grogu sat beside her on his own stool. He was eagerly chugging some thick, viscous liquid you didn’t recognize from a steel mug, and he cooed happily when he saw you approaching.
“Come on, pull up a seat,” Peli said, gesturing at the various storage containers and crates scattered around the space. “It’s not much, but we’ve got some bantha jerky, a few lamtas, some ahrisa I picked up at the market yesterday… I already gave the kid all the blue milk I had, though, so you missed out on that.” She shrugged good-naturedly, and Grogu let out a gratified burp, his upper lip sporting a pale blue mustache from the liquid in his cup.
Your eyes landed on a plasteel crate a few feet away, and at an encouraging nod from Peli, you kicked it over to the card table and sat down. “Thank you,” you said softly, your stomach giving a powerful rumble at the sight of the modest lunch. You weren’t exactly familiar with anything you were looking at, but you knew meat, fruit, and baked goods when you saw them, and you would take any of these things over the mealy ration bar in your pocket that even Grogu had rejected. You would save that for when you were back in deep space, when you didn’t have the luxury of food that wasn’t synthesized in a lab somewhere and optimized for its caloric and nutritional density.
The three of you ate in relative quiet for a few minutes, the only sound the child’s munching as he moved on from his blue milk to the bantha jerky. For your part, you found that while lamtas were a bit too sour for your taste, the baked balls of ahrisa packed a pleasant spice that was somehow refreshing even in the arid heat.
“So,” Peli began through a mouthful of food, breaking the silence. “What are you in for?”
You felt your eyebrows raise, immediately back on the defensive regardless of her casual tone. “I’m sorry?”
“Mando called you ‘part of the job.’ Said I’m not allowed to let you wander off. So you gotta be a bounty, right?” she explained, gesturing at you with a piece of jerky. “What’s he turning you in for? Assume you’re wanted for…something?”
You swallowed the remaining bite of ahrisa in your mouth, and it settled like lead in your stomach. “I…I ran away,” you said eventually. You hoped she would leave it at that.
“What, like from home? From prison?”
Yes. Both, you thought instantly. “Why do you ask?” you demanded instead, a touch of annoyance making its way into your voice.
“Usually, it’s just me and the little guy when Mando comes into town. He’s never left anyone else with me before,” Peli answered bluntly. “Look, I’m just trying to figure out if I need to keep a blaster on you the whole time you’re here, or if maybe I’m actually going to get to crawl up in that ship and get my hands on that carbonite unit instead of letting my droids have all the fun.”
This startled a laugh out of you. The two of you may not have gotten off on a particularly good foot, but you found yourself enjoying Peli’s honesty, her unpretentious way of communicating. And you supposed you could appreciate that this probably wasn’t the type of job she got every day.
“Got it,” you said, nodding. “You need to know if I’m dangerous.”
“Exactly!” the engineer cried. Her voice was loud, her gestures broad and uninhibited. “It’s a fair question since you’re gonna be hanging out here for a few days. I can take care of myself, of course, but I gotta know what I’m getting into. You understand.”
“I could lie to you. I could tell you I’m not dangerous when really, I’m a wanted murderer or maybe a spice smuggler. How will you know if I’m telling you the truth?”
Peli laughed sharply at that. “You think I’ve lasted this long in a place like Mos Eisley without picking up a thing or two? And I’m a hell of a judge of character. I could tell if you were lying, easy.”
A wry smile tugged at the corner of your mouth. You imagined she was telling the truth. For a moment, you contemplated how much of your story you wanted to share with her. If all she needed was the reassurance that you weren’t going to hit her over the head with a hydrospanner when she wasn’t looking, you reckoned you could give that to her.
“Would it be enough for me to tell you that I’m not…violent?” you asked, genuine. “What I’m wanted for…I didn’t hurt anybody. I’m not going to hurt you. Or the kid.”
This much you could be honest with her about. You had never had a taste for violence, for bloodshed. Your only crime was fleeing a place that had inflicted more pain on you and your family than you could measure. You weren’t about to hurt someone else.
Peli studied you for a beat or two, then nodded slowly, seemingly reassured by whatever she found on your face. “Yeah. Yeah, I think I can work with that,” she said. With a heavy sigh, she slapped her knees, dusted her hands, and stood. “Well, day’s not getting any younger! Better get to work!” She brought her thumb and index finger to her lips and whistled shrilly. “Pit droids! Get up in the cargo hold! Start disassembling the Razor Crest’s carbonite unit!”
The pit droids, who had been puttering aimlessly around the hangar, quickly jumped and scattered, beeping and whirring as they loaded several tool bags up the gangplank and into the hold of the ship.
“Feel free to pop a squat wherever you like,” she added to you. “Maybe just stay where I could see you easy, eh?”
You offered her a small, tight smile in response. “Sure. No problem.” Nodding at Grogu, who was currently waving a halved lamta around and giggling, you asked, “What do you want to do with him? Is he okay on his own?”
“Oh yeah, he’s fine,” Peli replied with a wave of her hand. “Usually, he just sits and watches me work. He gets into stuff on occasion, but this place isn’t exactly baby-proof, so what can you expect?” She shrugged. “If he gets up to too much mischief, holler for me, and I’ll have BD-72 follow him around.”
You nodded, and with a quick pat on the head for the child, the woman disappeared into the ship, and two of you were left in the dusty hangar.
___
For a while, you found it pleasant enough to simply sit in relative quiet with Grogu, enjoying the satisfaction of a full belly and quenched thirst after so many hours without. The ambient heat of Tatooine’s atmosphere would take some getting used to, but shaded as you were under the sandstone overhang, you found it manageable. In the distance, you could hear the sparking of a fusion cutter and the banging of metal on metal, as well as the occasional squeal from a put-upon droid. On the whole, there were certainly worse ways to spend the afternoon.
Of course, that didn’t stop the open door into the hangar complex from calling your name. It would be so easy, you knew. Peli was occupied and would be for hours yet. There were no droids you could see who might sound the alarm if you slipped out the door. And Grogu? Well, he was only a child – and an exceptionally small one, at that. What could he do to stop you if you really had a mind to leave?
As though he could sense the direction your thoughts had taken, the boy cooed at you, and you glanced over at him with a small smile. He had what appeared to be the last piece of bantha jerky gripped in his tiny, green hand, and with a wiggle of his oversized ears, he offered it to you.
The air left your lungs, and everything inside you melted at the gesture. You had always had a soft spot for children, ever since you were barely out of childhood yourself. But this one… Somehow, in a matter of hours and a handful of interactions, this one had wormed his way under your skin and buried himself in your chest, dangerously close to your heart. You wondered if perhaps it had been the same for Mando – if Grogu’s purity and innocence had inspired the same affection, the same devotion in the bounty hunter as he was beginning to in you.
Gently, you reached out and accepted the offered morsel of food, bringing it to your mouth. Grogu grinned toothily, and his answering laugh echoed off the walls of the hangar.
Perhaps you would try to escape tomorrow.
___
You jumped into action after that, needing something to occupy your hands and needing even more to distract your mind from the fact that you were willingly choosing to not run away. First, you collected the leftover food from lunch and put it away in the cooler locker Peli kept in her office. Then, the dishes, which made their way to a utility sink near the back of the hangar. Finally, mindful of the engineer’s instructions to stay where she could see you if she were to poke her head out, you found a large basket of worn, heavily stained work rags sitting on an equipment rack, brought them back to your seat on the durasteel crate, and got to work folding them.
When the basket was full to the brim with neatly folded rags, organized by size, color, and approximate level of wear, you were tempted to tackle the equipment rack itself, but you knew from experience how particular starship engineers could be about their tools. What looked to you like a disorganized jumble not unlike a shelf in a pawnshop could have been how Peli preferred to store her tools. You supposed it wasn’t your place to judge. You resolved to try to find things to do that didn’t have anything to do with her equipment.
For his part, Grogu proved Peli’s prediction to be correct. He appeared quite content watching you wander around as you tried to entertain yourself, though occasionally he would drift off to follow an insect or prod a little clawed finger at a derelict piece of equipment. The soft wonder with which he seemed to view the world made your heart clench, and you found yourself trailing after him as he toddled from one end of the hangar to the other, not out of concern for his safety, but just for the simple joy of watching him explore.
Time passed quickly then, and it wasn’t until you heard shouting coming from the ship’s cargo hold that you realized that the twin suns were sinking behind the high sandstone walls, casting shadows into the hangar bay.
“Oh, for kriff’s sake…” you heard Peli curse, emphatic and frustrated.
A minute passed, and then, “Fragging bantha crap!”
A handful of seconds, along with some straining sounds and the echo of a heavy piece of metal. “Damn it! Hey, missy! Come give me a hand here!”
Your brow raised in surprise, and you made eye contact with Grogu, who had been tracking a lizard across the ground with an eager gaze.
“I don’t have all day!” Peli bellowed.
You both startled at the urgency in her voice, and without another thought, you reached down and scooped Grogu from his perch. “C’mon, kiddo,” you said, propping him against your hip. He babbled softly at you as you carried him across the hangar and toward Peli’s voice, into the open belly of Mando’s ship.
The cargo hold was a disaster zone. Wires and tubes hung from the ceiling and sprouted from the walls like vines in an overgrown jungle, a seemingly endless array of tools lay scattered across the deck, and the padded back panel of the carbonite unit lay in pieces around the prone form of the engineer, who was currently laying on her back with her head and arms tucked into a gaping hole in the exposed bulkhead. Her three loyal pit droids hovered anxiously around her, one of them holding a mechanic’s light steady above its rusted head while the other two held various pieces of the ship aloft, as though they had been in the middle of a task and had paused partway through.
“Stars,” you muttered to yourself, taking in the sheer mechanical carnage before you. “What kind of bomb went off in here?”
“Funny,” came Peli’s deadpan reply from inside the wall.
You quickly smothered an amused grin. “You okay?” you asked. “What do you need?”
“Ideally?” she replied, wiggling her arms out from where she had been working and dropping a fusion cutter to the ground with a thunk. “Like six extra hands? Maybe a vibrohammer? Might be more effective than what I’ve got going on here.”
With a weary groan, she used her gloved palms to push against the walls surrounding her workspace and slid the rest of her body out of the hole. Her curly hair was even more wild than usual, fluffed up in some places and matted down with sweat in others, and dust and engine oil streaked across her pale face, darkening her safety goggles.
“I need to get back in there another layer. The carbonite unit is more than just these panels, goes deeper than I thought,” she said as she rose to her feet, kicking the toe of her boot against one of the padded panels on the floor. “I reckoned maybe I could just reach on through, but I can’t move my kriffing arms in there, it’s too tight. Help me get this bulkhead off its bolts, will you?”
You nodded. “Sure – let me put the kid down.”
You did a quick scan of the cargo hold, looking for anywhere you could reasonably sit Grogu that wouldn’t result in him getting crushed by falling starship parts or electrocuted by hanging wires. After a moment, your eyes landed on the bare, militaristic bunk tucked into the back corner. Above it, in the little steel-walled alcove, hung a hammock that you knew immediately was the ideal size for your tiny friend. That must have been where Grogu slept when he was traveling with Mando, hanging directly above his caregiver’s bed.
Picking your way through the detritus, you gently tucked the child into the hammock. “Stay here, okay? It’s not safe for you down on the floor,” you told him. With a little scratch behind one of his ears, you made your way back to where Peli was waiting.
“Got a spare hydrospanner?” you asked, and she nodded, tossing one in your direction.
“You take the left side; I’ll take the right.”
Peli had been right about needing another pair of hands for this task. The durasteel bulkhead that she had exposed by removing the outer layer of the carbonite unit was massive – taller than the both of you by several feet, wide enough to accommodate the frame of most humanoid species, and completely solid. Even with each of you loosening your own set of bolts, it took several minutes for you to be able to release it from the ship’s frame.
After the last bolt dropped from the bulkhead and into Peli’s waiting hand, you asked, “Are we pulling this out of here, then?”
She nodded, dragging the back of her wrist across her sweating forehead. “Yep. You wanna grab that side?”
Quickly, you pulled the sleeves of your boilersuit down from around your elbows, tucking the palms of your hands into your sleeves for a bit of protection as you grasped your side of the durasteel sheet. “Sure. On three?”
The engineer mirrored your stance as she braced her feet wide apart and took hold of the bulkhead on her side. “One, two three – ”
With a grunt, the two of you heaved the massive metal panel away from the ship’s frame and slid it off to the side. It took a bit of panting, strained debate to decide where you wanted to settle it, but eventually you elected to lean it precariously against a part of the wall that hadn’t yet been disassembled.
“Damn, girlie. Stronger than you look,” Peli said breathlessly as she pulled back her goggles. They left an outline of conspicuously fair skin around her eyes, the rest of her face grimy.
You offered her a somewhat puzzled smile and wiped the sweat from the back of your neck with your sleeve. “I think that’s a compliment?” you replied, also a bit winded.
The other woman chuckled. “Sure, it is.”
“So, what’s going on in here? Sounded like you were having a rough time, and not just with the bulkhead,” you observed, leaning back against Mando’s pile of shipping containers to catch your breath.
Peli groaned heavily and sank to the floor. She folded her legs and accepted an offered canteen from one of her droids. “Well. First of all, these mobile carbonite units…the original tech is complicated enough. You take all those mechanicals and condense them into a fraction of the space, when they were originally designed for mining transportation, it’s almost impossible to tell up from down. Everything looks the same.” She took a deep pull from the canteen, screwed the cap back on, and tossed it over to you to share. “And to get to anything to repair it, you basically have to take the whole damn thing apart… Then, of course, you take into account that this one is integrated into pre-Empire hardware, and you’re just asking for trouble.”
You nodded along and took a heavy drink from the canteen, encouraging her to continue.
“Everything about this is…temperamental. By all accounts, this thing shouldn’t work in the Razor Crest. But it does. Or I guess…it did,” she winced with a shrug.
The engineer fell silent then, leaving each of you to contemplate the ship’s predicament on your own. You thought back to what Mando had said when he had asked Peli about the job. He had referred to the malfunction with the carbonite unit as a pressurization issue. That was consistent with what you had experienced when he tried to freeze you – how there had been a moment when ice-cold gases had shot out near your ankles, but there hadn’t been nearly enough, and the force with which the gases expressed had been noticeably weak.
You wondered…
You took the opportunity to briefly survey the disassembled parts cluttering the floor, the wires and tubes dangling uselessly from the ceiling and the walls. However, despite the amount of time Peli and her droids had spent tearing the ship apart in and around the tech in question, the specific parts you were looking for hadn’t been exposed yet. She would have to go deeper before you would know for sure.
Just as this occurred to you, Peli broke the tense silence. “Well, since you’re here, why don’t you make yourself useful?” she said as she hauled herself back onto her feet and tugged her goggles back down over her eyes. “Hand me that power prybar, will you?”
Another hour or two passed in this fashion – Peli working in quiet concentration, occasionally asking for you to pass her a tool or carry away a chunk of hardware, and frequently tossing scrap in the direction of her droids, who gamely caught each fragment and placed it off to the side for later use. Inch by inch, piece by piece, you watched as Peli disassembled the rest of the carbonite unit and surrounding mounting hardware, all the way back to the external hull of the ship.
It wasn’t until you could tell she was nearly finished that you found what you were looking for.
Tibanna gas hoses. These would run from tanks stored inside the ship’s bulkheads, to the canisters stacked along the frame of the carbonite unit’s main freezing chamber, and then out. You took a step forward, then another, your eyes narrowed as you examined the flexible tubing. It looped over and back on itself in a complex network, with many branching arms and connection points that clearly indicated that not only was this design retrofitted to function with the ship’s original systems, but it was also intended to support more than just the carbonite unit. Likely the hyperdrive or the weapons array, if you had to guess.
Angling an ear toward the exposed hose network, you closed your eyes and listened intently. You knew what the problem was now. You just needed confirmation…
After just a moment, it happened. Softly, distantly, almost imperceptibly, you could hear hissing.
A triumphant grin split your face before you could reign it in. It was a gas leak. You knew it.
You stepped back then, allowing Peli into the place where you had been standing to continue her work. You had no doubt that she would come to the same conclusion you had once she examined everything more closely. Despite her earlier proclamations that she had seen the inside of just about every variety of ship in the galaxy, it was becoming clear to you that she had never actually worked on carbonite technology before. But you couldn’t deny – the older woman was tenacious and whip smart. She would figure it out eventually.
As Peli bent to inspect the gas hoses herself, you watched as a frizzy curl at the crown of her forehead danced as though caught in a faint breeze. That was it, you knew. Right there was the leak – unable to be seen otherwise, but able to be felt, heard. Any moment now, she would shout her victory and begin her repairs in earnest.
Except…she didn’t. Peli didn’t notice the delicate whisper of tibanna across her forehead or hear its hiss in her ear. Instead, she reached for a plasma torch and brought it up near her face, as though ready to peel back more of the ship’s durasteel underpinnings.
You moved without thinking, shouted without breathing.
“Peli, no!”
You nearly tackled her to the deck in your haste, wrenching the plasma torch from her outstretched hands and flinging it as far away as you could manage. Distantly, you heard a raucous clang and a mechanical scream as it collided with one of the pit droids, knocking it to its mechanical knees, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care about that just then. Your heart was pounding heavily in your chest, your breath catching in your throat. You were sweating in a way that had nothing to do with the Mos Eisley heat. That had been…too close.
Peli, however, was livid. “Fragging hell, girl, are you trying to scare the shit out of me?! What is wrong with you?!”
Wordlessly, you took hold of one of her hands and brought it to hover just over the faulty hose.
As you watched, her eyes grew wide, her face grave. She waved her hand over the leak, feeling the cold air on the bits of her skin exposed by her fingerless gloves, and you knew she understood what she had just avoided.
“Well. I’ll be damned,” she said, her voice more serious than you had ever heard. “That’s a gas leak, isn’t it?”
You nodded once. “Tibanna gas. Highly combustible.”
Peli’s pale, sweaty throat worked as she swallowed thickly. “I just about blew up this whole ship.”
“Yeah.”
“How in the nine hells did you spot that? If I couldn’t feel it on my own hand, I wouldn’t know it was there!” she demanded, incredulous.
You worried your bottom lip between your teeth, suddenly a bit self-conscious. “I heard it first. Then I saw it blow your hair,” you admitted. “Not a lot, just a little. But…I was looking for a leak, so…maybe I wouldn’t have seen it if I weren’t really looking.” You shrugged.
“You were looking for a gas leak?” Peli’s eyebrows were almost to her hairline. You made an affirmative noise in response. “Why?”
You sighed and looked away. This was it, you supposed. “Because Mando said the issue was mainly with initial pressurization. And when he tried to freeze me, I noticed that the tibanna gas in particular wasn’t nearly as pressurized as it needed to be to maintain stasis inside the carbonite. I didn’t notice anything wrong with the inductors or the gas mix gauges when you were taking the unit apart – everything was calibrated to the proper settings. So I knew it had to be a leak. It was only a matter of time before you found it.”
The other woman folded her arms across her chest and leaned back against the nearest bulkhead, clearly processing your explanation as best as she could. “And what would you have done if I hadn’t had  a plasma torch out right by the leak?” she asked after a moment, and you wondered if perhaps she already knew the answer.
With a deep breath, you replied, “You would have figured out the problem on your own. You just needed more time. Without the plasma torch…I would have just let you get there.”
Peli cocked her head at that, her gaze shrewd and something like a smirk hovering at the corner of her mouth. “I just needed more time, huh?”
You nodded. “You’re clearly capable,” you added softly, hoping desperately that that didn’t sound as condescending to her ears as it did to yours. You meant the compliment sincerely – in the brief time that you had gotten to watch her work, you had observed her to be a skilled engineer, and you had known your fair share of those in your life.
“‘Capable,’” the older woman echoed with a scoff. “You’re just full of surprises, aren’t you, missy?”
“I suppose so.” You couldn’t tell if she was impressed or annoyed.
“What do you make of the containment issue, then? A gas leak isn’t going to cause that. Do you have any theories there?”
Her tone seemed more sincere than it was mocking, so you indulged her. “I think it’s a problem with the power. Either the connectors are old and need replacing, or the ship – the Razor Crest, did you call it? It could be the Razor Crest’s hardware. Or…maybe the amount of power the engine is able to divert to the carbonite unit in comparison to the rest of the ship.” You paused for a moment, twirling the end of your braid around your finger as you mulled it over. “I’d have to take a look at it myself to be sure, but I’d be willing to bet if we can get a reading on how much power the unit is actually receiving, we’ll be able to tell.”
Peli blinked back at you in silence for a spell, and you felt your nerves start to get the better of you in the stillness. However, before you could begin babbling additional explanations or apologies, her face softened, and she began to laugh. “Well, call me a bantha’s uncle,” she said, good-natured and amused rather than frustrated. “When you mentioned that…hundred-hour certification course in carbonite tech earlier, that was you speaking from experience, wasn’t it?”
“Actually, it was 200 hours,” you replied shyly.
She smiled at that, nodding in understanding. “So what you’re telling me is I’m not the only starship engineer in this hangar right now. Am I right?”
You hesitated. “Technically, I was never an engineer. But…yes. That’s what I’m telling you.”
Peli appeared to consider your response, and after a moment of indecision on her face, she said, “You know, on Tatooine, we have this kind of…unspoken rule. Your past, before arriving on this planet, is no one’s business but yours. You’re certainly not the only one around here with secrets to keep. So I won’t ask you anything else.” You could feel your shoulders loosen at her words, not realizing how much tension you had been holding throughout this conversation. You could tell she understood – that there were some things you just couldn’t talk about, couldn’t explain to her just yet – and you deeply appreciated it.
“But, for what it’s worth,” she added, gesturing to the veritable explosion of ship parts surrounding both of you, “I think we both know that this is a big job. And I think we also both know that the carbonite unit isn’t the only Razor Crest system that could use a little attention. If you’re willing to help out, and I mean really help, like I know you’re capable of, we’ll get a lot more done before Mando gets back than if I did it all myself.”
“And that would mean that you could charge Mando more for the additional repairs. Right?” you asked, grinning at the audacity of her suggestion.
“Naturally,” Peli shrugged. “Girl’s gotta make a living. And Mando’s generous. I know him, he’s good for it.”
“You should open a parts warehouse. You’d make a decent saleswoman,” you countered.
She scoffed, immediately wise to your attempt to stall the conversation. “C’mon. It’s gotta be better than sitting around on your exhaust port for who knows how long until he gets back.”
You smiled wryly. “You’re not wrong there.” You thought of that basket of stained work rags out in the hangar, the almost neurotic way you had folded and organized every piece of fabric with a level of care completely inappropriate for the task just to have something to do with your hands. “I’m…not exactly used to idleness.”
“You and me both, sister!” Peli agreed heartily. “Now, I won’t take no for an answer. You’re absolutely wasted just lazing around here. Have one of the pit droids grab you some goggles and a pair of gloves. We’ve got work to do!”
And so, with very little opportunity to protest, and very little desire to argue, you and Peli fell into work alongside each other for the remainder of your stay.

What Dies Doesn't Always Stay Buried (Missy/Gomez! Master x reader x Thirteenth Doctor)
Summary: you left your home to travel with the Doctor after the loss of Missy, but what happens when she comes back?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: implications of the reader going through the different stages of grief, references to overdrinking, mild swearing, starts sad but ends happy, the beginnings of a surprisingly healthy poly relationship between Missy, reader and the Doctor, suggestive comment made by Missy near the end
A/N: is this an incredibly niche pairing that I wrote for? yes. but I can't get the thoughts I have of Missy x 13 out of my mind, so I can't be bothered to apologize for it. I just sort of spilled out a bunch of nonsense onto my keyboard so the plot, storyline, ending, literally any of it might be garbage, but eh. most people probably aren't going to see this anyway, and if I cared that much I wouldn't be posting it in the first place
Tumblr media
Everything felt dull and gray after you lost Missy. It was like nothing you did mattered anymore. You started acting reckless and stopped caring about the consequences of your actions. Not that you thought about them too much before, but at least then you had Missy to enjoy the chaos with. Not anymore.
You honestly didn't think there was anything or anyone that could ever make you feel happy again. Until the Doctor showed back up and did just that. Out of all the people you thought could possibly make you feel better, never in a million years would you have ever expected it to be them.
They found you wasted in some shady bar on a planet you'd crashed Missy's TARDIS on, drunkenly trying to pick a fight with an alien who was much bigger than you. After paying your tab and apologizing profusely to both the bartender and several of the patrons, they dragged you outside and propped you up against the wall of the bar's alleyway.
"What the hell were you thinking? What are you trying to do, get yourself killed?" Something about this random stranger seemed awfully familiar, but considering you were utterly wasted it was difficult for you to recognize them for who they were.
"Look here, blondie," you slurred in annoyance, shooting them an unimpressed glare. "Who are you-" you jabbed your finger at their chest to emphasize your point "-to tell me what to do?"
The stranger scoffed and rolled their eyes at your rude behavior. "I'm the Doctor, obviously." She looked down at her frame before adding in a mutter under her breath, "though I suppose I do appear a bit different than last time."
Your eyes widened almost comically at her words as you finally put two and two together. "Oh, hey, I know you-" You went to give her a friendly pat on the arm but instead toppled forward, landing against her.
She let out a soft "oof" as she caught you, sighing as she realized just how out of it you appeared to be. "Alright, that's it. I'm taking you with me."
"Wha- hey, no, you can't just take me in like I'm a stray dog," you protested as she took you by the arm and helped you to her TARDIS, doing just that.
You didn't remember much more from that night other than waking up with a killer hangover, but since then you'd been staying with the Doctor and accompanying her on her travels. She gave you the option to go back home, bringing it up several times in fact, but each time you refused.
Missy was gone, meaning you had no home to go back to. And while you never told her the real reason why you didn't want to leave, you were sure The Doctor knew.
At first you wanted nothing to do with her, refusing to leave your room. Eventually that grew boring, and you found yourself reluctantly making conversation with the Doctor whenever you bumped into her on your mindless walks through the seemingly never ending halls of the TARDIS.
It brought you peace, as they reminded you of the ones that Missy had in hers. You'd sit there on the floor, staring at the ceiling as you wallowed in your grief until either the Doctor found you or you fell asleep.
You wanted to stay soaking in your ceaseless pain forever, feeling guilty anytime you found it in you to smile or laugh. Especially whenever it was caused by the sonic screwdriver wielding blonde.
It felt like betrayal, to be able to find happiness and peace with your former love's best enemy. But after everything you'd been through, you couldn't help it.
You knew you'd cling to the next person you formed a connection with after Missy's death, regardless of who it was. And even though you tried to keep your distance, tried to brush off your feelings as the misplaced love you still had for Missy, it was more than that. Much more.
The feelings you grew for the Doctor weren't shallow or fake, they were very much real. After being alone and miserable for so long, you were able to get rid of your grief and let it all go, finally accepting that you were happy.
You and the Doctor were in love, and even though you still cared for Missy you were finally able to accept her being gone. Until all hell broke loose when the one thing you never expected would happen did- she came back.
The Doctor had taken you on one of her standard 'let's land on this random planet and see what comes of it' trips. The two of you were walking hand in hand through the ruins of some ancient civilization, stopping occasionally to study the crumbling architecture.
You listened as she happily rambled on about the city's people and what inevitably caused their downfall, smiling to yourself at her childlike nature. As you glanced around the room that she'd told you was once used as a temple of sorts, your eyes caught a small compact mirror that lay on the ground.
Letting go of her hand, you knelt down and carefully picked it up. It was much too modern looking and not nearly damaged enough to have come from this time period. "Hey, Doc, what's this?"
She stopped mid sentence and moved to crouch down next to you, carefully taking the compact mirror from you. "I'm not exactly sure." She admitted as she turned it over in her hands, studying it closely. "Obviously it's a mirror of sorts, but it doesn't appear to be from this time period, or, hell, even this planet."
Before you could respond, a silky voice cut through the room, one that didn't belong to either of you. "That would mine. I must've dropped it, silly me."
Both of your heads snapped up immediately, the Doctor's eyes narrowing in suspicion as yours widened in shock. You couldn't believe who it was. There was just no way. It was impossible. It couldn't be her.
"Who is it?" The Doctor asked cautiously as she stood, carefully pulling you off the ground with her. You wanted to say something to reassure her, but your words seemed to fail you. There was so much that you had to say, and yet when you went to speak, nothing came out.
An amused chuckle came from the same shadowy area that the voice had. "Oh, Doctor, surely you haven't forgotten me already." The person to which the voice belonged stepped forward, moving out of the shadows and in toward the light.
Your previous suspicions were confirmed almost instantly, your jaw dropping as you took in the sight of the woman before you. It was Missy, just like you'd thought.
Her hair was down and looked curly from being unbrushed, she was lacking any makeup, and her clothes looked like she stole them from the previous Master, but it was definitely her. If you hadn't known her so well, you might not've been able to recognize her at first, but you figured that was possibly done by her on purpose.
"Missy," you breathed her name out, your hand instinctively reaching out for her. She smiled at you softly, moving her own hand out to take yours as she took a few steps closer.
"Hello, dear." Her eyes traveled along the features of your face slowly, as if she was trying to take you in. "I take it you missed me."
She flickered her gaze from you over to where the Doctor stood. She hadn't spoken once since the dramatic reveal, uncharacteristic for her as she usually could never shut up. "What's the matter? Didn't expect to see me again so soon, now did you?" Missy asked proudly, seeming quite smug.
Instead of speaking, the Doctor just continued to stand there for a moment before lunging forward and pulling Missy in for a bone crushing hug. You're not entirely sure what was said, but it sounded a lot like the Doctor muttered "I missed you", followed by a soft apology.
Both you and Missy were speechless. Neither of you had been expecting this tender display of affection to come from her. Anger, maybe, sure. Sorrow, even, you might've thought. But not this.
You watched in awe as Missy hesitantly used her free hand to pat the Doctor's back, her proud demeanor softening as she melted into the hug. After a few moments, you felt her tug on your hand gently as a subtle invitation to join the two.
That was all it took. You moved over to them, wrapping your arms around the two loves of your life as you let out a quiet sigh of content. Part of you had been worried that the Doctor would try to keep you away from Missy as a means to protect you, so you were relieved to see that didn't seem to be the case.
"I love you." Your soft voice cut through the comfortable silence, causing the four heartbeats belonging to the two Time Ladies in front of you to quicken. "Both of you."
"Ah, well, I love you, too," the Doctor replied somewhat awkwardly, as you'd never said that to her before.
Missy let out an amused giggle before speaking, having already heard this sentiment coming from you before numerous times. "So do I. I couldn't stop loving you if I tried."
It didn't slip past you how she seemed to be addressing both you and the Doctor, and judging by how the blonde's cheeks flushed it apparently hadn't gone unnoticed by her either.
"That's- that's great, then." She stammered out nervously, avoiding looking Missy directly in the eyes. "Let's head back to the TARDIS, then, shall we? I'm sure Missy must want to change into something that's more her style."
"Yes, let's. And if you're lucky, I just might let you help me out of the clothes I'm wearing." Missy added in a low purr, something that made you grin in delight while the Doctor's face turned redder still. It was nice to know that even in this new dynamic involving the three of you, some things hadn't changed.
