Dude no way!! Jamil in Brazil???

My entry for @merotwst and @cleumuu Jamil's summer contest! Some notes on my creative process under the cut 👍 I talk too much, so sorry 😫

So when I first heard about the theme I immediately thought this could be the perfect excuse for me to finally drag Jamil to Brazil for a well deserved vacation. I took inspiration mainly from Ilha Grande on Rio de Janeiro, since it was probably the nicest place I've ever traveled to with my family! However, I am a silly billy after all, and took like 4 photos in total during this vacation, and what I thought would be an easy task to collect reference photos for the background turned into a huge challenge for me. This piece was originally supposed to be like a full groovy card, with the basketball club in the background enjoying the beach while Jamil was on the center of the image but the compisition was not working out no matter how hard I tried, and in the end had to throw it all away and start a new concept from scratch :)

This second time I chose to illustrate what I remembered from the island's little village. My personal favorite parts of my visit was to walk around the center at night, browsing through the stores and stalls, having ice cream and unsuccessfully trying to pet the cats that ran around the place... and I think Jamil would like to do that too! Sure, going to the beach to enjoy the sea and sun is fun and all, but something about quiet night strolls feel so much more peaceful and calming, a perfect opportunity to clear your head after a busy day.

I also referenced one of Michiko Malandro's outfit to dress Jamil with in this piece, I just had to. But in the end he kinda ended up looking more like Najma lolll they look more like twins than Floyd and Jade do fr 😫 but anyway, Jamil finally got to travel to cool places, and meanwhile, I'm doing the favor to care of Kalim so our favorite vice housewarden makes only the absolute best of his summer break! brozone and the bunker part 2

so you go down the stairs into another foyer/entry way area. i wanted the space to look way too lived in and a bit crowded. branch had a lot of time down there and gathered several things. I'm sorry if I stop giving details about the pictures, I'm struggling to get this put together 😞

i know theyre just decorations but the spider webs fit the 'not much activity' space. then theres the hallway. i couldnt remember the order their rooms were in the drawing, just that branch was under floyd. so on the first floor we have clay and Floyd.

First clays room. I gave him lots of books bc I've read a lot of fanfics where he's a bookworm and likes dinosaurs so he got that too. Dinosaurs and books was all lil branch remembered about his brother. I also gave him a chess table to play his bros and himself. I added a bit of viva in there with perfume bottles on one of the nightstands. He has a desk and several knickknacks. And I feel like he would play basketball.

Floyd's room is a comfy space where you'd feel comfortable talking about your feelings and having a good cry. Leaning into the 2000s emo with posters, records/chs and pictures on the wall. He's got his makeup and nail polish. On his desk is a mirror for makeup and a notebook for journaling and songwriting. And he's got his guitar.

We go down the stairs again. I was struggling at this point to fill the space, I packed way too much clutter in the first two rooms. On the left we have Bruce and on the right we have JD (far) and branch (near). There's something funny about having the oldest and the youngest next to each other

Ace Fact Sheet

(Voted 16th-most-popular-character on the jpn server (tied with Sam and Trey) in a combination of seven different character-ranking surveys held throughout 2021)

At the beginning of the game Ace mocks the player character for being magically impaired, but then comes to accept them after the events of the prologue.

Ace will cheerfully speak his mind in every situation, sometimes to the point of derailing the mood of the room. He hates indecision, possibly due to his own quick decision-making nature.

We see Ace handle a variety of situations with ease, but he is often unmotivated when it comes to doing work. He seems to have little patience for those who struggle to achieve their goals and no particular goals of his own for the future, making him a mirror image of Deuce. It is particularly shocking for Ace when Deuce is the first of the two of them to learn his unique magic.

Floyd refers to him as Kani-chan (crab), and Rook calls him Monsieur Heart.

Ace has a brother 7 years older than himself who has already graduated from Night Raven College (while this brother has no official name, he is often called “Jack” by the jpn-server fan community for “Jack of Hearts”). Their parents are not magic users. Ace tells us, “When I got my letter of acceptance, my brother was even happier than my parents”.

In Deuce's ceremonial robes vignette, Ace is late to a ceremony where Deuce and Jack are awarded for their track and field achievements because he was up late the previous night, on the phone with his brother.

We learn that Ace’s brother is something of a prankster who once bought himself a luxury watch, presented it as a gift to Ace on his birthday (inside a box that he had Ace unwrap), only to say he was joking and swap it with another box as his “real” present, which was empty.

Ace speaks often of his brother, who taught him the importance of mixing lies with truth when trying to deceive someone, in order to sound more convincing. It may be from his brother where Ace has learned his more back-handed tendencies.

In his labwear event Ace asks Ruggie for permission to harvest mandrakes to help Ruggie with his side job, only to try and sneak away to sell the mandrakes on his own to pocket the profit.

In Ace’s school uniform vignette he offers to carry heavy bags of sugar and flour in exchange for “the piece of tart with the most cherries at the dorm’s tea party tomorrow”. When Trey asks “You don’t have some ulterior motive?” Ace responds, “You’re lookin’ at the very picture of innocence”, but by the end of the vignette it is revealed Ace was trying to trick Trey into revealing the topics on the history exam for first-year students.

According to Deuce, playing card games with Ace is impossible to enjoy, because he always cheats.

Ace taught himself sleight of hand tricks by watching his brother (to which Cater says ‘you’re the type to steal talents’). While his brother was his example, it is Ace’s magicless father who is the most talented of the three at sleight-of-hand and inspired both boys to pick up the hobby.

When the family comes together during holidays, Ace says that he, his older brother and father have competitions together to show off their tricks.

He is also capable of imitating the voices of his fellow students to an impressive degree, and was able to mimic a few lines in mole-language in order to talk to Heartslabyul’s hedgehogs, but he seems to have no talent for rote memorization.

He is also good at sports and refers to himself as a "promising newcomer" to the basketball team. He once saved Riddle from being struck by a Spelldrive disc by catching it in midair (although Riddle admitted he would have easily deflected the disc without Ace’s intervention).

Both Ace and Deuce challenge Riddle in a duel for the position of Housewarden of Heartslabyul dorm in Book 1, but Ace is disqualified for punching Riddle in the face after Riddle makes a disparaging remark about people with poor upbringing and magicless parents.

He is one of several reluctant participants in the Phantom Bride event, happy to mock Deuce from the sidelines until Riddle goads him into joining by insinuating he is a coward. In his Phantom Bride vignette it is revealed Ace is the only one of the first year students who has been in a relationship.

He had a middle school girlfriend with whom he would go with the amusement parks (but “she would refuse to ride anything but the merry-go-round and ferris wheel”) and movie theaters (where “she wouldn’t watch action and horror movies”).

He ghosted her after deciding they didn’t have enough in common. After a group of girls called him out for this poor behavior, he decided he prefers spending time with his male friends and that he has no more interest in relationships.

Despite this, Ace gives an impassioned speech to Eliza about how she will never be able to find someone who meets all her expectations and should instead be with someone who will stick with her “through all the hard times.” He also lectures her retainers for enabling her behavior (including references to Trey and Cater and their behavior towards Riddle).

In Ace’s vignette, Ortho applauds this unusual passion and sincerity, but Ace stubbornly insists it was an act he put on to save them from the ghosts. After seeing the abilities of Riddle, Rook, and other upperclassmen during the event, Ace decides he would like to “become strong enough to surprise them" and focus on his training rather than his love life.

In Book 1 on the ENG-server, there was a continuity error during Riddle’s overblot where Trey’s unique magic, “Paint the Roses”, was instead written as “Sleight of Hand”.

As of this writing (2022/9/3) Ace’s unique magic has yet to be revealed on either server, but it makes you wonder…

What we do know is that he seems to specialize in wind-magic, collaborating with Grim during the Prologue to control Grim’s fire magic with his own wind spells.

There is also an early-design-stages battle menu illustration in the game guide where the characters were originally going to be separated by elemental magics, with both Ace and Trey marked as having wind abilities. This is, however, a pre-finalized version of the characters, so Trey’s focus has possibly been changed.

Concerning Ace’s last name, I am going to quote Wikipedia: “Trappola is an early 16th-century Venetian trick-taking card game…It is also the earliest known trick-taking game where the ace has been promoted above the king.”

That afternoon they unfortunately couldn’t find Rook before club activities started, mostly because Ace didn’t have the time to search all day, since there was a practice game scheduled for the basketball club that day. He invited Inky to join since they weren’t in a club and would likely only be bored out of her mind with Grim doing his own thing at Scarabia for now. They agreed of course, because they could cheer for Ace as well as watch Jamil play.

The game itself was against one of the local basketball teams, sage island had a few as it turns out, though most were simply hobby type teams, but this one was from the small college in the middle for the magicless residents of the island.

Ace hurried to the changing room so he would not be late as Inky helped set up before everyone arrived, though that was mostly clearing out the sports mat wagon as well as making sure the balls for everyone’s warmups and the game itself were all properly inflated. That and ace brought his music box with him this time.

“Heads up guys, I invited- the prefect to come watch..!” Ace said as he pulled the basketball jersey over his head, allowing a brief pause so his voice wouldn’t be muffled by fabric.

“Really? Yay, leafy sea-dragon! I’m gonna squeeze it when I get out!” Floyd grinned mischievously. Leafy sea-dragon had somehow become the prefects new nickname. Where it came from? Their underwater hair reminded him of the tendrils of, you guessed it, a leafy sea-dragon. Despite the incident in Octavinelle nearly accidentally turning the school’s ‘beloved’ prefect into past tense, it was not blamed on the octatrio. The breathing potion she had been given wound up wearing off too early due to not being of this world. Azul has generously apologised for this and has taken a few measures to show that he is actually sorry for miscalculating and not realising that the potion may work differently. You know, like providing proper lunches and a good table to study at when needed.

All that aside Floyd was now luckily excited for the basketball match, unlike before which Jamil, who’d been oddly quiet this whole time, had noted.

Why was he quiet? Because suddenly he felt.. nervous. Not like usual before any other basketball match, nervous in an energising but also almost anxious way. This wasn’t a major match, just practice. So why? Was it because.. Inky would be watching him? An image flashed across his mind of them wearing his jersey weeks back when they came to Scarabia for the first time since the winter holidays. ‘میں حیران ہوں کہ اس کا دن کیسا گزر رہا ہے۔’ he thought. ‘کیا وہ اپنی کلاسوں سے لطف اندوز ہوئی؟ کیا گریم نے اس کی پریشانی کا سبب بنایا؟’, well even if Grim did, surely she’s fine. Either way, Jamil pulled the red sleeve he wore with his jersey over his elbow. He had to focus. Perhaps if he did, he’d impress them, the object of his affection. It would surely then make him appear cooler, more desirable in their eyes. And that was what he wanted. Besides, he was looking forward to the game already anyway, who wouldn’t? There aren’t many basketball teams on the island, so getting to play against one another was a wonderful way to improve your own skill and test your team’s overall ability to work together.

They left to the court they were using after they all finished changing. The team would get there soon so for now it was warmups so they could play comfortably. After a thorough 20 minutes of ‘casual warm up exercises’ courtesy of coach Vargas (and a bone crushing hug by Floyd for Inky) the other team arrived, so Floyd, Jamil, Ace and the others could finish up. While they did Jamil noticed that the enemy captain was chatting up the prefect, and he noticed that they seemed to look mostly anywhere but that captain, more specifically his face, while the captain was trying to gently get her to do that.

Finally then the coach let him and the others off the hook so the other team could warm up. Leisurely Jamil jogged over to the prefect who had stood up to help hand out a water bottle to anyone who needed it.

“Thanks” he said to her. “Did Floyd crush you too much earlier?”

“No, it was nice, fixed an issue I had with my back, actually..” Inky answered, no longer avoiding eye contact and looking straight at him. It surprised Jamil because he never realised just how obvious the prefect was, when it came to looking at people when speaking.

“An issue with your back?”

“Yeah, my back tends to need cracking a lot because of posture and whatever else and I have difficulty doing it myself. Also my trapezoids are still swollen because of strain so my back and that area hurts easily. I’ll book a massage appointment one day, have to be able to afford it first though.” Oh yeah, Crowley still pays the prefect in air particles.. that needs to be fixed, maybe Jamil should talk to Kalim or the headmage directly. In the mean time though, he can do something else.

“If you would like, I could massage your back later, after the game.. I might have time as far as I know”

“Sure, but first I think we’ll both need a bath or something.. don’t know how long I’ll take though”

“Scarabia does have a large communal bath.. do you have a bathing suit? You could take a shower in the shower stations to rinse off and then I’ll join you.. in swim trunks of course. The warm warmer can help relax your muscles properly and the bath itself is quite pleasant.” He suggested. It took him a minute to truly register what he’d said to the prefect, to which he’d almost made a face, but it wouldn’t have been one of disgust, rather it would have been one of surprise since he’d offered that without thinking, so he wasn’t sure if Inky would say yes or if he’d overstepped by accident.

“I do, only a school issued one that Crowley ‘oh so graciously’ paid for.. but yeah that sounds amazing actually. Wait, won’t that be more work for you?” She asked, though was that just Jamil sort was she starting to blush? Then again.. he is a guy and even if they’d be wearing swim gear he did just offer to bathe with her. Wait. She agreed. So.. that means he’d actually get to be that close and enjoy Inky’s company in actual peace and quiet. Kalim would be busy later that day with his own stuff and he could luckily be left unsupervised since Jamil would be in the dorm at least.

A bit after that it was time for the game and now the ‘enemy’ team was struggling to avoid Floyd and his passes, it felt more like he was trying to shoot them with the ball rather than hoops and Jamil was really going for it today. They couldn’t get past them and even if they did, scoring was even harder to do. Even if Ace was the most approachable one, if they got past him, they had to avoid Floyd and then get around Jamil. Though she wasn’t at all interested in sports back in her home world, she didn’t mind attending games and the like for her friends. And if, this time, she got an amazing excuse to stare at her crush, why say no to that? All in all they were crushing it anyway and this game in particular was much more interesting to watch than any at home.

Naturally the club won the game but still their victory was worth cheering for. It showed they were a good team despite Floyd’s mood swings, learning to work with instead of against them. After all of that Jamil and the others bid farewell to the team and went to their changing rooms, to rinse off and the like.

“Oi sea snake, saw you chatting with leafy after warm ups, you trying to flirt?~” Floyd smirked, clearly just trying to get under Jamil’s skin.

“No.”, he denied, maybe a bit too quickly to be convincing. “I was worried you had hurt their back when you nearly crushed them in that hug of yours..”

“True, that’s always that but, like, your conversation was a liiittle too long for just that” Ace suddenly spoke up from behind them.

“Well, the prefect mentioned that their back hurts easily and that their muscles are always tense, so I offered to massage them”

“You know how to massage things too? Jeeze, what *don’t* you know how to do? You’re like.. insane or something! I mean, you can cook and clean, you’re good in school, basketball.. and now it turns out you’re a masseuse too? Man.. I thought Inky was exaggerating when it said you were that amazing..” Ace said in slight shock, not realising he’d actually blurted that out.

“One of Kalim’s siblings has chronic pain, so all servants were required to learn it. In any case.. Inky said what?”

“She said- wait uhh.. actually I’m not supposed to say anything so forget I mentioned that, yeah?? Good, great, amazing.. gotta go!” Ace sputtered, if the prefect knew he said anything at all about what it said about Jamil, it would be a lot worse than running out with his shirt half way pulled over his head. So that’s what he did. And that made Jamil look at the door with a surprised expression, the prefect didn’t want him to know what she said about him? But why? From what ace said it was positive things, so was Inky hiding something? Was this about the letters? He’d have to ask.

Back at Scarabia he was in his room fishing out his swim trunks from his closet. It had been a while so they weren’t at the front, but the back instead. He made his way over to the bathing area, knocking firmly and rather loudly on the door in case the prefect was still showering, but they told him through the door he could come in. He did, shutting the door behind himself, locking it too, so that no one could come in, even if he spread the word this place would be occupied for a while. Only then did he look at the prefect. Truth be told he was a bit surprised at their hair, it was somehow curlier now than it usually was, it looked very pretty, it suited her. She waved at him, but was that just Jamil‘s imagination, or was she.. staring at him?

Oh yeah, she most definitely was. But he was too. Even if it was a school issue, it’s not every day you see the person you like in swimwear and Jamil thought she looked good anyway.

He guided her to the warm water spouting from overly fancy vases held up by statues of women, modelled after those in the Twisted Wonderland equivalent of Greece. It was far too fancy for his liking but this was built in reference to Aljah’s bath back at home, the sibling he mentioned to Ace and Floyd. Sweet kid, they were friends with his sister apparently and very into Greek mythology and the like at the moment.. well they had been for years but what gives, today and especially right now there’s no need to be specific. As they sat he checked in on them and how Inky felt about the temperature, was it good? Or too warm? Cold? He breathed out and sort of let himself relax when she told him it was fine, moving her legs underwater to enjoy the sensation.

“I thought.. you know.. at the game today, I thought you looked really cool. I don’t like sports and I’m not really into them either, but I liked watching you play.. I think you know, but I do admire you a lot- uhm visually and because you’re amazing.. not sure you know how much but I think you might.. well I think you might’ve read a ‘letter’ I lost. Kalim came to me by the way, he was worried because a you were in your room all the time.”, The prefect confessed, scooting closer to and leaning on Jamil slightly, resting her head on his shoulder. They sighed, more-so to express their comfort right then and their enjoyment in Jamil’s company, though their voice changed with a laugh. “Gonna be honest here I thought you hated my guts after your Overblot.. I’ve never been happier to be wrong in my life. Thanks for the towel when you picked me up that day.. and the party situation too.” Another pause followed after it breathed in and out, coming just that little bit closer. “I’m glad you’re here with me”

Those words touched his heart, set it ablaze all over again as he put his arm around her shoulder, holding her there in his embrace but not too tightly, resting his head on hers and taking a breath. “I’m glad you’re here with me too.”

In the silent chamber a creak echoed, all was quiet and unmoving until… a coffin opened itself from the inside and out poked a head, the long face bore a confused and startled expression, maybe even scared. A brief look around told them they were not where they were supposed to be and they did not care to find out any more than that. “..Oh hell no..”, they spoke before retreating into their coffin, pulling it closed once more.

Oh Jamil is not that bad… is he? Oh no, is he? Is Jamil bad?

In all honesty, I remember him throwing Ace under the bus and I’d assume that he’d be a tease sometimes lol So I can imagine how this + having A WHOLE FLOYD around would make Ace’s basketball career much more miserable than whatever Deuce and Jack have going on.

AHHH POOR CATER— To be honest, Cater is a victim of us first watching twst (the first four books) with an official ENG translation; rewatching it now, he feels much more understandable and fun as a character. But alas, we still don’t have any ships with him that would click with us enough to ship-ship him with someone ✊😔  

So for now he’s #singleaf, but honestly seeing just how much trouble the other guys cause to each other at all times, he’s probably better off like that lol

It could be interesting! We’re not super invested in either of the ships to be honest, but there are fun aspects to both of them, and jealousy could add another layer to Epel’s and Vil’s antagonism towards each other. Especially considering that it’d probably be Epel who’d be jealous, not Vil.

I just read your post about "how the twst cast might feel about murder/murdering. " Which left me wondering how the Twst cast might feel/think about life and death.

I feel like non-human characters such as Octovinelle, Savanaclaw, and diasomnia might view it differently than humans.

In Octavinelle and Savanaclaw case, i think topics such as Murder and/or cannibalism aren't necessarily seen as 'wrong' or 'bad'. I think we can all agree that nature is scary, and to survive, you'll have to be on top of the food chain. and in order to survive, you'll have to 'Kill' someone from your kind to eat or protect yourself.

A perfect example would be Ruggie: he came from poverty. His mother died shortly after giving birth to him, and his father's whereabouts are unknown after he claimed to leave for work. He was raised by his grandma. He did a few odd jobs here and there in order to get around. So i think he would know what 'survival' might feel like or how far someone might go to survive. I bet he went through agonising days and nights starving for food. I wouldn't put it past him to do (or already did) shady things to survive. Also, apparently, Ruggie can chew through bone, which hyenas also do! Nice bonus.

Then there's the Leech twins. Jade did mention once that their parents taught them self-defense when they were little, and their Mom often worries about them. It's also implied that they 'lost' a lot of their siblings. The coral sea that they came from are dark and cold, and most of the food they consume down there is raw. So i wouldn't put it past them to be completely desensitised from all the gory aspects of life not only because of survival but because of their "business" connections their father has. They have probably seen a lot of unhinged things since they were little.

BUT i do think that the Leech twins are a special case, lol. Unlike the other non-human characters, i believe that both of them would not only 'kill' in to survive but also because of boredom. You know how often these two mentioned how they hate to get bored and how they want to be amused? Yeah, i bet they killed/harassed a few mers just because they got bored and wanted entertainment. And it's not unheard of to hear/read about animals in the wild harassing other animals for entertainment, for example Some dolphins have been observed slapping little fish around for fun, or even tossing them up on a beach to watch them suffocate slowly. Again, nature's cruel.

As for the fae? it's hard to say, but seeing as they've been alive for so long (especially Lilia) and, of course, the war that happened in the past. I think it's fair to say that they see life and death in a different light than humans. But do fae have to kill in order to survive? i'm not entirely sure.

That being said, of course, there are expectations of humans doing the same thing or thinking the same thing, just like the non-humans. I mean, have you seen Rook? ;-;

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Anon! Like I already said, I don’t really have much to add, but I’m glad you enjoyed the original post and thought about the topic yourself. Yes, both merpeople and beastpeople would have different level of tolerance and understanding of the cycle of life and death than just regular people. Different morals and different norms due to having completely different circumstances.

God reading about Ruggie made me think again about just how out of touch Leona actually is sifuhisduhs

I also remembered about the Leech twins talking about Halloween and how many kids disappear every year, and how when Floyd went missing they pretty much accepted that Jade was going to be the only child now. Of course it would be a devastating thing, but definitely not something shockingly unusual, and it’s an interesting thing to consider. Oh and of course these two would kill for fun, we know they are considered really dangerous even by the merpeople standards lol

As for fae, I’m not sure if they have the same necessity to kill to survive, but there are so many different types of fae, so maybe it differs from one species to another. The fact that they live longer and are in general tougher than human beings would make them a bit too “careless” around people though: people are too fragile, their lives are short and they are afraid of death. I feel like it’s not very common for fae to reflect on these things either; I think Lilia’s position on the matter is quite rare. The grandpa is very open-minded…

twst mermay 5 — casual wear

in which floyd is dealing with the heartbreak from knowing you didn't like him back ft. floyd leech, ace trappola, and jamil viper; floyd x reader

╰┈➤ 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: fifth prompt! this was probably the hardest one so far because i didn't know where to start or how to write floyd's character for a scenario like heartbreak. i think basketball club is also pretty fun, and their interactions should be explored a bit more. :D ╰┈➤ 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐨: mermay masterlist

Floyd had the urge to snap something in half. 

His footsteps were notably heavy as he walked out of the store that he, Ace, and Jamil were in. Hands in the pockets of his teal jacket, he was gripping the inner fabric. He wanted to snap something, he wanted to grip something until it cracked and broke, but at the same time, he didn’t have the energy to do anything except walk ahead.

“Hey Jamil,” he could hear Ace whispering from behind, “what’s up with Floyd?” 

“I’m not sure,” Jamil replied back in an equally hushed tone, but Floyd had the sense that he wasn’t being completely truthful. “But it’s better to leave him alone.”

“Do you think it’s because of what [you] said,” he asked. “Is he bothered that they’re buying Azul a bunch of clothes?”

Floyd gripped the fabric tighter. He wanted to snap, but he wasn’t in the mood. 

“Drop it,” the Scarabia student warned. “Let’s just leave him be until he calms down.” 

Their whispering stopped, but the merman couldn’t let go of what Ace said. There’s something about another person saying out loud the things in your mind, like a sort of confirmation. It’s one thing for Floyd to merely feel bothered by the irritation felt when you said why you were shopping along with Jade. It’s another for someone to pinpoint the reason why it started in the first place, especially if that someone is a freshman like Ace Trappola. 

It’s not that he’s embarrassed to act in such a manner in front of a freshman—Floyd never cared about image, and he doesn’t think there’s any reason to start caring. If he wants to shoot hoops with scary accuracy, he’ll do it. If he wants to gobble on a burger and leave a mess, he’ll do it. If he wants to mess with someone until their face goes red, he’ll do it. But rather, he’s irritated that someone else could say his dilemma out loud without any problems while he’s dealing with the embarrassment of feeling something as cheesy as heartbreak. 

Really, he should have been expecting this. Floyd wasn’t dense. Compare the way you act around friends like Ace versus with him, and there wasn’t any notable difference. You carry the selfishness characteristic of Night Raven College, and you’re vigilant and clever, but none of those qualities change the fact that you have a bigger heart than many of the students. You would share a bag of chips with him for a few seconds before handing the same bag to Ace and Jamil. 

But compare the way you act around everyone else versus Azul, and it’s a different story. You don’t display it—because he knew that showing such emotions could potentially land you in a room with a safe at the back and a golden contract presented to you—but there’s a spark in your eyes when you see Octavinelle’s dorm leader, even from afar. One of the greatest teachings of the Sea Witch is to never underestimate the importance of body language, and she has yet to be proven wrong. 

Still, what reason did Floyd have to stop hoping? So long as you never confirmed anything, he could still hope that you brushing his hair back on occasion meant something. So long as you never chased for Azul, he could still chase after you. 

But then he saw that white paper bag in your hand. He heard Jade say that he was there to accompany you in shopping for clothes for Azul. And he most definitely heard you say that you want to give him an outfit where he can be looser while still maintaining class, all for the reason that you wanted him to enjoy land fashion more and hoped to be just a little more relaxed. And from glimpsing at the way you chose the clothes for Azul, Floyd could tell that you knew him well and took the time to learn about the sort of person he is. 

And that’s when he knew there was no more chance. He hated backing down, but he also didn’t want to start anything bad with Azul or with you. He wants Azul to be happy, he wants you to be happy, and he wants to be at peace. When did it get this complicated? And he hated asking this sort of question—because why look back to the past when looking forward to the present was much more fun?—but why couldn’t he go back to when things were simpler? 

“Yo, Floyd.” 

He felt Ace’s hand tap his back and glared at him. If he was to wallow in such feelings, couldn’t he be left alone at the very least?

“Ace, what did I just tell you?” Jamil’s irritated sigh punctuated his sentence. 

“Hey, just wanna let you know,” Ace shoved his hands into the pockets of his newly bought red jacket, appearing to ignore Floyd’s glare, “I’ve been there before, and I’ve seen a ton of guys getting their hearts broken too.”

Floyd’s face relaxed, morphing into brief surprise. 

“Love sucks, you know,” he continued. “Whether you’re going for a girl, another dude, or anywhere in between, if they don’t like you back, then it’s gonna hurt for sure.” 

From behind them, Jamil watched with a stunned expression. 

“And well, since we’re here,” Ace’s eyes started shifting towards the surrounding stores and restaurants, “what do you say we get some grub in Pizza Planet? They’ve got this limited time flavor of pizza, and as a pick-me-up, tab’s on me. Sound good?”

Floyd’s laughter was instantaneous. It was loud enough to cause people to turn their heads and stare at him, but he couldn’t care less about them. “You’re funny, Crabby,” he said. “You better hold onto that promise, k~? Because I’ve been curious about that flavor too.”

“Ahaha…” The Heartslabyul student’s laugh sounded slightly more nervous. “Of course I will!”

“Well then,” Floyd took hold of both Ace’s and Jamil’s wrists, taking a good look at two of his friends as a grin made its way on his face, “we gotta get there quick before the dinner rush starts! Let’s go!” 

And with a panicked Ace and Jamil dragged behind him, Floyd let out a laugh as he ran across the streets.

So I recently started obsessing over Jamil… but I’m in this little conundrum where I don’t entirely see him liking my self insert. She’s small, shy, doesn’t talk much, really nice, and kinda airheaded at times… well, till she gets comfortable around someone. Then she has a bit of a problem with volume control and can talk for hours as long as her friend is engaged. She’s more likely to cuss a friend out if they piss her off, but she’ll forget to be pissed after sleeping. Spiteful and petty, for instance she will learn a game or activity just enough to be an annoyance to the person that pissed her off. She’s still an airhead but she’s not gullible, she’s been taken advantage of and doesn’t like it. Lastly big helping of Depression an Anxiety where she sometimes doesn’t leave her bed for over 24 hours and is too anxious to have her inside thoughts in the outside unless in a comfortable environment. Chaos child, especially over the text. If she has a friend’s number they’re gonna get random sleepy thoughts and cursed pics at ungodly hours. She’s still a sweetheart that will do anything for people she cares for and ask for nothing in return except their company, but when bitten she will bite back. Or punch, she’s not afraid to aim for the kidney.

Anyway… maybe some headcanons of Jamil’s first reaction to her and then as he gets to know her? Please?

Jamil:

-Jamil, who just thinks the mc is just there. Completely unassuming, and during certain events (his overblot lmaooo) thinks cool easy person to manipulate. Only for her to come back and be ready to throw hands because Kalim is like, yeah you're friend shaped. They are friends now.

-Anyways I think that's how him getting to know mc would start because Kalim exchanges numbers, and thinks the cursed pictures at 3am are hilarious and shows Jamil, who is like: :/ "why were you awake at 3am Kalim?" "Jamil ignore that and look at the funny picture!"

-Jamil gets mc's number is like: "please stopping sending memes to Kalim at 3am I don't want him falling asleep during class." He isn't impressed when the reply is just '"no <3" She has now made Jamil's list of people he would leave stranded in the desert.

-He thinks mc and Kalim are chaotic. Then he catches mc and Ace having the weirdest conversation before basketball practice which he hears every word of. "Mothman is the safest cryptid to smash, but I think I could take a Skinwalker." "I could take Siren Head." "Deadass?" "Deadass." Jamil doesn't know what either they are talking about, they have been talking about this for thirty minutes, please stop.

-Floyd casually mentions in passing once that Shrimpy bit him on the arm because he tried squeezing them. Jamil prays that you do not encourage Kalim to start biting because that will be the last straw.

-Development starts when Kalim asks Jamil to check on mc with him, because they haven't left their dorm for two days. Grim says she's sick, but they also aren't answering anyone's messages. When they enter the dorm seeing her wrapped up in bed, Kalim immediately trying to cheer her up, while Jamil stands off to the side.

-"Have you eaten anything?" a quiet no. "Let me make you something." He feels as though he owes them that much. He just doesn't intend for it to be a gateway that leads to him receiving random thoughts and cursed images.

-To which he uses them like receipts to remind mc that they better be going to sleep at a reasonable hour.

from RS: Floyd and Riddle having sweaty and dirty sex after basketball practice and equestrian club. Namely Riddle got caught in the rain again, and had to follow the Queen's rules but Floyd has other plans.

skfjhf the idea of riddle and floyd having nasty gritty locker room sex is so good, especially because to me, riddle is not quiet. also this would never happen and he would choke floyd for trying but lucky for him floyd is into that ;)

Kanye's Donda Basketball Team Kicked Out of Morehouse Basketball Tournament

Ye formally known as Kanye West, has gotten his Donda Academy Basketball Team kicked out of Morehouse College basketball tournament this coming weekend. The college cancelled the event all together amidst the recent controversy surrounding Ye's remarks in an interview. https://inside.morehouse.edu Morehouse Decision Morehouse college's decision was fueled by Ye's remarks toward the Jewish community which demonstrated antisemitism. The college is mainly concerned with the image Ye's reputation portray in any way shape or form. The players had no impact on the decision itself, but the problem at hand is their affiliation to a certain likeness or behavior thereof. A lot of people including that are a part of the Morehouse community are calling out the school's decision. This is due to the school depriving the players opportunities to showcase their talent without regard for that purpose. Such comments by people reads: "Ya should feel sorry about ya selves. Bending over to the evils. God don't like ugly." "I am saddened that you took this stance. Those young Black men did nothing wrong. This poses a bigger question, who do you answer to?" Yandere!Jade and Floyd who have recently become obsessed with an idol from the surface.

It was Floyd who saw an advertisement for sneakers on Magicam and he really liked the style and colors, but what caught his eye was the person endorsing said shoes. You were so cute in your sports outfit, showing the sneakers off in such a fashionably athletic way. Apparently this was some sort of collaboration? Floyd didn’t really care about the shoes or the collab at that moment; he was more interested in you as you offered a casual smile to the camera while holding a basketball in your hands.

So of course he asks Jade about it, who also has no idea. He’s never even heard of you or this brand or anything related to your management team and company. He’s just as lost as his brother, and after a quick online search they learn that you’re an idol whose group recently disbanded and you chose to go down the solo path. And from the looks of it, your career is still flourishing. Obviously you’re doing well for yourself if you’re scoring sponsorships and collaborations.

Jade assumes this is where their curiosity ends. He’s never really understood the appeal of idols. He’s aware that music is made of many varieties and genres and that it often brings people together, much like delicious food, but he has no interest in idol culture. It’s never stuck with him. He will admit that you’re definitely a nice sight, but that’s as far as his opinion goes.

Floyd, on the other hand, is absolutely hooked. He hyperfixates on you almost immediately as he immerses himself in every detail he can find about you online. He watches videos of past concerts, interviews, and music/lyric videos of your songs for as long as his attention will hold. He scrolls through all of your socials, drinking in every photo and selfie you’ve posted—occasionally reading the captions and comments to get a taste of your personality and your fanbase. The amount of gross people who call you adorable nicknames and ask you to spare them a glance… Yikes. Now that’s really hard to read.

Truthfully, he was expecting to find ridicule in your profession; he thought it would be annoying and stupid and he’d hate it and he’d never want to see those sneakers or your face again. But he doesn’t hate it. He loves it, so much so that Jade and Azul have caught him humming your songs whenever he’s lost in his own world.

And it isn’t long before Jade’s curiosity is piqued once again and he falls down the same rabbit hole Floyd did. Only Jade is more meticulous with his search. Whereas Floyd tore through every bit of content containing you, devouring it with an insatiable appetite, Jade peruses it as if he has all the time in the world, savoring images of you as if they’re fine wine. He categorizes his favorite articles and videos, linking each of them in the notes app on his phone. He essentially creates an entire profile for you, where he details all sorts of facts about you. Like Floyd he also wants to know everything about you, so he’ll spend hours late into the night researching you, digesting the information he finds and then immediately looking for more to add to your profile.

His search leads him to a very fortuitous piece of information. According to the most recent post on your socials, you’ll be going on tour. Jade reads through the dates and locations and is pleasantly surprised to find the Coral Sea as one of the tour destinations. What are the odds! Jade wakes Floyd at once, proudly showing him the post. It energizes Floyd immediately, his bad mood ebbing away into childish glee as he grabs his twin’s phone and stares so intently at the screen as if he’s trying to determine whether or not this is a dream.

Well, now they must make plans to attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It falls in the middle of their spring break; the timing couldn’t be better! And once tickets go on sale, Jade and Floyd are the first to snag two. It will be their first time attending a concert and it brings them back to the days where they played in their little band with Azul.

In the weeks leading up to spring break, the twins are very motivated. It’s almost unnerving how much effort they put into their work and studies, as if doing well will somehow please the idol they’ve started worshipping. And maybe it will. It’s encouraging to think about it in that way—that every high score, every successful deal at the Lounge, every fulfilling day will impress you. And when you’re the one cheering for them through the tiny screens of their phones, they feel as if they can accomplish anything.

It’s unhealthy. Maybe they’re aware of that when they find themselves stalking your socials, occasionally refreshing the site in case you’ve shared a new post. They want to be the first to see it, the first to like it, the first to save it to a very special folder that’s littered with pictures of you they gathered from a slew of various online sources. And on the days that you don’t post or do much at all on any of your platforms, they feel so weary and depressed. It’s as if their mood depends solely on whether or not you grace them with your online presence.

Aside from your life as an idol, what little information they could dig up about your private life makes you all the more appealing. You’re so sweet and modest, always remaining humble despite the fame. They learn who your friends and family are quickly. What’s great about the internet is that it’s easy to connect every looping string and dot until they’ve made note of every account that serves some sort of importance to you. Every connection is put aside for later use.

When spring break finally arrives, they’re overjoyed at the prospect of being able to return home to see you. It’s not often human artists tour in the Coral Sea, so it’s really amazing that you’re doing this. That’s what makes you so special and wonderful! Azul’s practically sick of their enthusiasm as the three of them depart through the mirror. He claimed to want no part in the concert and that he couldn’t see the appeal in spending hundreds of well-earned Madol on merchandise and other goods for the sake of ‘love and support.’ Leave it to the scammer to recognize the con. Not only are the twins dedicating so much time and devotion to you, they’re also willing to spend lots of money on anything related to you. The will of the fan is indeed strong…

The twins are more than happy to go without Azul, and after mentioning it to their father, who seems to approve of it, he pulls a few strings to allow his beloved boys a chance to meet you one-on-one. No lines. No crowds. No VIP passes needed. It’s wonderful what power, influence, and wealth can get you if you tug at the right strings.

They just can’t wait. Floyd wants to wrap himself around you and squeeze you! Not until you pass out, of course. You’re his favorite human idol. He doesn’t want to hurt you…not yet, at least. And Jade really wants to have a nice conversation with you—wants to truly bond with you and maybe even hug you himself. His heart is uncharacteristically giddy as the day draws near. Floyd’s gotten more restless, too, twisting in his sleep nonstop. It seems like they’re both too excited for the concert to even function, and when the day finally dawns all of that excitement multiplies tenfold.

With the help of a potion that allows you to breathe underwater and a few modifications to the stage, equipment, and sound, you’re able to perform a flawless concert. The twins have never understood why fans are often moved to tears when they see and listen to their idols’ performances, but now they can faintly comprehend the gist of it. It really is an emotional moment for those who have waited so long. Surprisingly, you have a lot of fans in the Coral Sea. But it makes sense, especially when you consider just how popular human trinkets are among the sea life.

You’re absolutely breathtaking on the stage as you sing from the bottom of your heart. Every song is so enchanting that they wonder whether or not you’re actually a siren in disguise. If that’s the case, consider themselves thoroughly bewitched. There’s just something about you that’s so…you. And they both realize that, as the concert reaches its finale, the admiration they feel for you goes beyond that of a fan’s love. It isn’t even love. It’s obsession, twisted and spiraling. As dark and deep as the ocean itself.

They want you. You, you, you. Every part of you. From your voice, to your body, to your amazing talents. If you were theirs, you could perform for them and only them. No one else would be permitted to lay eyes on you, lest they have them gouged out for such a grave offense.

The first thought that crosses both of their minds when they see you is that you’re so small compared to them. Floyd swims up to you, arms outstretched excitedly. You welcome the hug with a bright smile, but Jade’s more aware of the security and the way they watch with laser focus, ready to intervene should Floyd prove to be a threat. And Jade can only hope that Floyd will behave.

“You’re so cute up close! Like a tiny, colorful fishy.” Floyd pinches your cheek in a way that’s meant to be endearing. Jade catches the poorly concealed grimace and he stifles a sigh. “Oh! My name is Floyd and this is Jade.”

You gaze at Jade with what he thinks is fondness. “It’s nice to meet the both of you! I hear you’re fans of my work.”

“We are.” It’s not often he feels shy or flustered, but now that he’s actually in front of you, hearing your voice and speaking to you… It’s a lot to process. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”

Floyd smiles a broad, toothy grin and you admire his teeth for a second. Before he or Jade can comment, you’re wriggling out of Floyd’s tail and reaching for laminated sheets of paper.

“I wanted to write the both of you special letters because I had heard that you’re both important guests. It wouldn’t be very welcoming or polite if I couldn’t provide you with a gift. Please consider it a token of my gratitude. I can’t thank you enough for your love and support.”

You’re too precious. Jade skims through his letter and finds that it really is personalized. You took the time to hand-write every letter. Even your signature is signed in swirling ink and it’s something he wishes he could tattoo on his body, if only to have a piece of you on him at all times.

“Ooh, look at this.” Floyd whistles as he observes the document. “Hey, Jade, isn’t this really thoughtful? It’s a shame we didn’t prepare any gifts…”

“Indeed.” He shares a covert smile with his twin, something that goes unnoticed by you. Jade reminds himself of the security that loom nearby and he realizes he can’t exactly do anything with them here.

Well. He could. Both of them could. Their father could easily pay whatever price falls their way. If he wanted to, he could probably buy ownership of your company and then you’d belong to Jade and Floyd. The thought has his body temperature rising. He’s certain Floyd’s having similar thoughts because he spies his twin’s tongue as it darts out to wet his lips.

“Oh, there’s no need! Meeting the both of you is more than enough, so please don’t worry about preparing anything.” Your innocent expression is almost too much to bear. He wonders how it might look with tears streaking down your cheeks, face scrunched in pain or pleasure—or perhaps both—as you’re devoured by the both of them.

Not in a literal sense. But maybe—just maybe—if given the chance they might sample you, your blood, your soul. Your everything. A small bite, really. Who can blame them? You’re too adorably vulnerable to resist, after all.

Perhaps their father ought to ready his checkbook, for he’ll be needing it if he intends to play damage control with hush money.

Yuu: Kodi! Happy birthday!

Kodi: Ah, yes, you too!

Yuu: ??? It’s not... my birthday?

Kodi: Hmm? Oh, I’m so sorry! It seems like I’m a bit preoccupied at the moment... Thank you for the birthday wishes, but I must be going-

Yuu: WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. I’ve been instructed by the headmaster to do this birthday interview with you; you can’t just run off like that.

Kodi: But the lounge is bustling with customers!! And we’re so understaffed because of the sudden food poisoning in the school’s cafeteria, and Azul will have my hide if we get another bad review on Kelp-

Yuu: I’ll take your shift after this! How does that sound?

Kodi: Oh, Yuu, I can’t ask you to do that.

Yuu: Think of it as my birthday gift to you. Besides, Crowley says these interviews are mandatory, and I don’t want to face another scolding from an overdressed bird man.

Kodi: Haha... Guess we’re both in a sinking boat, huh? Then that’s fine. I’ll answer any questions you have.

Part 2

Yuu: So, how does it feel having everyone celebrate your special day?

Kodi: It’s great! People don’t normally pay much attention to me, so it’s refreshing to have the opposite for the day. Haha, actually when I ran to the basketball club this afternoon to tell them I had an extra shift at the Mostro Lounge, I thought they had forgotten all about it. But to my surprise, I got flooded with presents from my team members right before I walked out the door! They were all very sweet.

Yuu: Oh, yes, I remember hearing from Ace about that. He said that you lingered by the entrance before leaving with “the saddest puppy eyes” he’s ever seen, so everyone decided to give you their presents early.

Kodi: I... thought they really forgot about me...

Yuu: Yeah, he said you looked like you were about to cry when no one wished you “happy birthday”, even though you mentioned it several times the week befo-

Kodi: So!!! What other questions do you have for me, Yuu?;;;;;

Yuu: Oh, right. Did you receive any birthday wishes from your family?

Kodi: Of course! My mother and her relatives sent me their cards and presents through the mail! The package just got delivered to Octavinelle today, but...

Yuu: Is there something wrong with the present?

Kodi: My family owns a small farm in the Village of Harvest, where we mainly get our profits from our persimmons.

Yuu: That sounds tasty.

Kodi: The thing is.... I don’t... like persimmons.... that much.

Yuu: Oh.

Kodi: And I tell them this year after year, but my grandmother insists on sending me a carton of persimmons for my birthday without fail! “Ya’ bettuh git sum vitamin C, Kodi! Otherwise, awl yer teeth’ll fall out like yer great-uncle Grant-“ But great-uncle Grant was 89!!! Ain’t that when your teeth start to fall out again?? What does that hafta do with persimmons? And then she goes on and on about how sickly pale I look all the time, and how I always end up usin’ all the sunscreen whenever we go work in the orchard! Ain’t mah’ fault that ah’ burn so easy-!!!!

Yuu: Sorry for bringing that up. Let’s move on.

Part 3

Yuu: So, you mentioned you grew up in the Village of Harvest. I’ve heard it’s quite the secluded area. Does that mean you know any of the other students who were raised there as well?

Kodi: Ummm... Ah, yes! I was really close childhood friends with Epel Felmeir! A first year in Pomefiore. Do you know him?

Yuu: Yes, I do.

Kodi: We used to spend a lot of time together back then! We were both pretty frail looking kids, so we got along with each other just fine. Even before we came to Night Raven College, we’d fantasize about becoming great mages who could beat the shi- I mean, defend ourselves against our bullies. Epel was usually the one to pick fights with others back then, though. He followed me around like a puppy, claiming to be my bodyguard because I didn’t know how to stick up for myself.

Yuu: And how’s your relationship with him now?

Kodi: Ahaha... I wonder too? The minute he saw me when he entered the school, I got met with, “Huuuh??? When did’ja git so lame????” And then he refused to talk to me the entire first week of the semester.

Yuu: Must be his rebellious phase.

Kodi: But things have gotten better! We started to be able to eat together during lunch! And he’s stopped running when I greet him in the hallways! He’s even got me this neon green vest for my birthday!

Yuu: Why’s that?

Kodi: I said to him that I wanted to get noticed more often this year, so he suggested wearing this!

Yuu: ...Are you sure he wasn’t joking when he said that?

Kodi: I’m just happy he isn’t angry at me anymore. Anyway, I’ll go ahead and tell Azul that you’re covering my shift. Thank you again for offering to do that. Also, I think it’s best if you stayed away from me for, let’s say, the next two hours or so?

Yuu: Why?

Kodi: Jamil told me that he’s bringing the club over after their activities for a special birthday surprise. I begged them not to throw pies at me this year, but I don’t think Floyd is the type to listen to anybody.

Yuu: Good point. Thanks for the interview. I’ll go ahead and take my leave now.

Floyd: Huh? You don’t know, Koebi-chan? How even when you eat dinner, before sleepin’ you get hungry?

Floyd: Me and Jade are still growin’ ya know~

Screen: Are there certain treats you like?

Floyd: Hmm… It changes depending on the day… Lately it’s been peppermint candy…

Floyd: Last week it was melon-flavored gummies… Yesterday I ate biscuits with almond in ‘em.

Floyd: I think I prefer the chewy stuff over the flavor. Also, stuff you can only eat on land.

Floyd: Koebi-chan, if you find any rare treats make sure to share with me, okay?

Screen: Okay. By the way, what kind of food do you like?

Floyd: That is… Takoyaki! Ah, do you know what Takoyaki is?

Floyd: Tomatoes, broccoli, strawberries, fresh cream, chocolate, anchovies, potato chips, konjac jelly…

Screen: There’s a lot you’d like to try out.

Floyd: Yeah yeah. In the end we’ll test who can make it the strangest…. It’s laughable how disgusting it is!

Floyd: Azul is a stickler about wastin’ food so we gotta make sure to eat it all.

Floyd: Next time, you should join us, Koebi-chan. It’s a promise.

Screen: You usually have your collar open, is it uncomfortable to have it buttoned?

Floyd: Not uncomfy, more like too irritating. I may be good at stranglin’ but it’s not exactly my taste.

Floyd: When I came to shore, I didn’t like the clothes. It’s like always havin’ seaweed clingin’ to your body.

Floyd: Plus, you know how ya gotta wash your clothes right after wearin’ them?

Floyd: I was thinkin’ why humans gotta do something that’s such a pain.

Floyd: But now I like pickin’ out my clothes. It’s fun wearin’ different colors.

Floyd: Koebi-chan did ya know? The In the sea you can see a bunch of different dark colors.

Floyd: Besides clothes, you can wear shoes and accessories… It’s fun dressin’ up differently on land~

Floyd: But, after buyin’ so much, storin’ it in my room’s getting troublesome.

Floyd: Jade’s room’s always clean and got some spare room so I ask him to leave some of my stuff there.

Floyd: But he always says, “No.”

Floyd: Ahhh, I wonder if they’d let me use another dorm room for storage.

Screen: You collect anything you like?

Floyd: Ehh? Jade and Azul’s got their plant’s ‘n’ coins they like to collect…

Floyd: I get bored easily, so I don’t care much for any collectin’… Oh, that’s right.

Floyd: I wasn’t trying to collect ‘em for anythin’, but the other day I bought some moray eel goods.

Screen: What sort of stuff did you buy?  

Floyd: A loose fittin’ graphic T-shirt, a mascot keyholder with a funny face.

Floyd: Since there’s a legend about the Sea Witch’s capable moray eel underlings,

Floyd: At sea, moray eels have a pretty tough image. Plus, we’re carnivorous.

Floyd: But on land, the moray eel goods they sell up here are weirdly cute so it’s interestin’.

Floyd: Makes you think about how humans see moray eels.

Floyd: I bought the T-shirt and gave one to Jade and he happily wore it. Aha~

Floyd: Azul said not to go out wearin’ it but it’s so cute. Isn’t that terrible~?

Part 3

Screen: Between your mermaid form and human form, which one do you like?

Floyd: When I was human form, I didn’t know how to walk, and my body was so heavy…

Floyd: I felt like turnin’ back to my mermaid form right away and headin’ back to sea.

Floyd: But recently, I’ve been thinkin’ this form ain’t too bad.

Floyd: At Coral Sea, there’s nothin’ but other merfolk but at this school there’s so many different people.

Floyd: So, I’m never left bored.

Floyd: Also… I can do fun things I can only do at sea like basketball and dancin’.

Floyd: Lately I’ve gotten into parkour~

Screen: What’s parkour?

Floyd: Oh, you don’t know? You kick off handrails or walls, and climb up buildings~

Floyd: It’s a sport where ya gotta move around any obstacles as much as ya can to get to the goal.

Screen: Seems difficult.

Floyd: I don’t think about whether it’s hard or easy.

Floyd: Since I was a kid, I liked playing around things like obstacle courses.

Screen: Obstacle courses at sea…?

Floyd: Yeah. You decide the goal, then swim through the planned route in the sunken ship.

Floyd: Sunken ships have a lot of broken places here and there, so ya gotta swim around a lot of obstacles~

Floyd: To not let your swimmin’ speed drop, ya wanna avoid the obstacles with the minimum movement possible.

Floyd: Then, the first one to reach the goal wins!

Floyd: …Come on, isn’t that like parkour? So that’s why I like it.

Floyd: It’s fun pickin’ up a new skill, plus it’s like swimmin’ up on land.

Floyd: There’s no right or wrong way to avoid ‘em or any strategy, so it’s kinda more…freeing?

Floyd: For me, I hate havin’ any strict rules…

Floyd: Oh, but the other day I overslept and used parkour to enter the classroom through the window. The teacher was pissed.

Floyd: Aren’t I impressive for workin’ so hard to not be late? Next time I’ll try not to get caught. Aha~

Yeah, of course! It was one of the reason we got so into TWST in the first place. Toboso is such a hard worker that loves her projects so much, it’s very inspiring and admirable. We love her writing a lot and wouldn’t be in twisted wonderland at all if it wasn’t for her, especially for her writing.

Floyd is usually so spot-on with his nicknames though, and with Kalim he just said something about him being cute. He… should know, right?

Crewel is definitely aware about the game; he is still quite a youngster after all. But I think it depends on his mood. If he is playful, he could tease Trein with the pocky thing, just to see him get confused, and then flustered, and then say something about Crewel being immature. He’ll still manage to make Trein play the pocky game with him though. Maybe after Trein loses to him in chess or something~

Yep! Well, to us he is. We haven’t thought much about anything nsfw with him yet though, but I guess the trope of a soft and gentle princessy prince works very well with him. (Especially if you play with the idea of him being unexpectedly and unintentionally creepy)
