This is a post of "mourning", confusion, anger and sadness, and my first long post, so sorry in advance if it makes ZERO sense.

It was announced yesterday that the character of Adar will be recast in Rings of Power. And I'm no actor, no studio staff, just a very disappointed viewer.

Joseph said "... as an actor, it remains my wish, my job description, to explore new characters and worlds." Which is fine. I get it. Many actors are like this and want new challenges constantly. But then maybe you shouldn't take on jobs with two or more seasons of commitment. Especially in such a high-profile show. And if you think "it will be a first-season cancellation anyway," you should simply leave if you don't believe in the success.

If it was planned to be a one-season arc, then WTF is Amazon Studios thinking. There was even an episode titled Adar. And then the character became really beloved so they thought, "let's keep the character worst case scenario, we can recast him"? But the character became a fan favourite BECAUSE of Joseph, because of his talent, because of the depth he gave to Adar. So they should have rather killed him off.

As it will be really difficult for the new actor Sam Hazeldine - who is surely a nice and talented guy - to win the audiences over as the new Adar.

I think if you play a character or create a show, it cannot be just about money. It means also commitment and responsibility.

Adar won't be the same and it's such a shame.

Where did the idea to write come from?

One of the books of Dentistry that I studied, talked about the tendency of human beings to decrease the size and number of teeth because of the industrialized diet we currently use. We might compare Homo sapiens with our ancestors, the Australopithecus.

It is clear artificial intelligence and robotics can cause changes in human development (the theme I use in #OOutroLado story idea), but Heirs of Planet Life Trilogy (OSFilhosDoTempo) is to make us think about the future of humanity and, especially, the preservation of the environment.

It follows the Synthetic Theory of Evolution about the survival of beings and transmission of the characteristics that best adapt to the environment to subsequent generations, genetic recombination and mutations during this process.

I add that to the Einstein-Rosen bridge, which would make it possible to travel through wormholes and spatial folds consequent to the Theory of Relativity, allowing time-travel.

O filme AIR – A História Por Trás do Logo, vai contar a história real da lucrativa da parceria entre o jogador de basquete e a Nike, que deu origem ao tênis Air Jordan, a linha de tênis mais famosa da Nike.

O filme gira em torno de Sonny Vaccarro, um executivo da Nike que tenta convencer o fundador da empresa, Phil Knight, a apostar em um contrato com o novato jogador de basquete Michael Jordan, que um dia se tornaria um dos maiores atletas de todos os tempos além de comandar o vitorioso Chicago Bulls. Na época, em 1980, o atleta estava entre assinar com a Nike ou com a Converse.

Em entrevista ao SXSW, o diretor Ben Affleck contou que teve que cumprir duas exigências do jogador: que Howard White, vice-presidente da marca Jordan, estivesse no filme e que sua mãe, Delores Jordan, fosse vivida por Viola Davis.

“Ele me contou sobre seu pai. E então ele falou sobre sua mãe. Foi a primeira vez que vi esse olhar cruzar seu rosto. Era um olhar de reverência, admiração, amor, gratidão e inocência. Ele disse 'nada disso teria acontecido sem minha mãe.' E eu disse: 'Quem você gostaria que interpretasse sua mãe?' Ele disse: 'Bem, tem que ser Viola Davis.’”, contou Ben em um trecho da entrevista.

“É como dizer: 'Posso jogar basquete na sua quadra?' 'Sim, se você conseguir o Michael Jordan.' Viola Davis é a melhor atriz que já vi. Esta é uma indústria difícil. É difícil saber se você é bem-sucedido de fato. É difícil saber se você conquistou algo. Mas, honestamente, sempre senti que se um dia fosse diretor e tivesse Viola Davis em um filme meu, isso seria algo incrível. Isso significaria muito pra mim. E hoje significa.”, finalizou o diretor.
