thats fucking stupid. in the few frames we are given of it of the different angles, its clearly just a fucking box. no depth leading to the curve of the hull, no visible door and likely no door whatsoever bc it would complicate things. a box that probably is in the shape of its opening. lets be real. this is a design that was easy and convenient for the cg modeler to make. ive done 3d work for a class. its hell. i dont blame them. but anyways. ppl who worked on this probably just saw the grates on the surface of the deck and was like oh we dont know what that looks like on the inside but its a perfect place to throw poor ole jay in! grab the trusty basic 3d cube. use difference to cut it out. add texture. and to be honest? yeah the story doesnt need an entire storage space to be built for realism sake. why would they do that for a cg lego show. lets get lazy about it, what do the kids know, whats important is that jays life sucks. the sparseness serves more of a purpose the bleak hopelessness of the pit jay has dug himself into

my point still stands. this is just a hole. it aint right. this is not how old ships were built. this cell was made for jays specifically for the sake of simplicity in both the production standpoint and story. its dumb but serviceable for a narrative purpose

Remember that this Mari is specific to the Hikiko AU.

For reference, the Hikiko AU is an AU of my own design; it’s loosely based on Omari, but with some pretty significant tweaks and story changes. As such, these are the basics you should know; Mari is still alive here, 19 years old, and attending a Junior College a few hours away from Faraway Town. If you’d like to know more, feel free to check out the about and AU pages for everything that’s been revealed thus far! And if there’s anything missing there that you’d like to know… Well, you can always try asking Mari. Just keep in mind that this AU is quite a bit different from the canon timeline or classic Omari, and Mari won’t have knowledge of any of the events that didn’t happen in her world. Likewise, this blog is not affiliated with the Hikki or Omari projects in any way; honestly I can't even keep track of who it is that's actually making them, let alone be in contact with the creators.

This blog is not spoiler free!

If you haven’t played the game or know the story, I highly recommend doing so before interacting with this blog or reading any further. While there’s plenty of divergences, the blog also contains some parallels to pretty significant spoilers and will definitely give away some big twists. Omori is a pretty intense emotional roller coaster of a game so I definitely would suggest experiencing it for yourself if you can handle the content it entails. It isn’t necessarily mandatory to interact here, but will probably add to your experience.

Guest characters may pop up from time to time.

On occasion I might let other characters from the AU participate in an ask or pop up in art. That isn’t to say it’ll happen every time, but I figure that’s a fun way to switch things up– and possibly provide some details Mari herself might not be as keen on discussing. That said, I can’t guarantee that an ask addressing them will always make it to the intended recipient– that depends on how likely they are to be able to find it. But do feel free to try if you’d like! You might just learn something interesting in the process.

Mari is an unreliable narrator.

Much like Sunny in Omori, she’s not always going to be honest about what really happened or how she’s actually feeling. Her experiences aren’t always true to reality, often laced with hallucinations, delusions, and dissociation. After all, Mari is someone who strains herself very hard to maintain an image of perfection and stability– and that’s one thing which has remained a constant here. It’s going to take quite a bit of effort to peel back that mask of smiles.

Roll for Panic Attack

*Trigger warning: mentions of depression and suicidal thoughts*

I am afraid of a lot of things. Clowns. Death. Answering the door when i’m not expecting it. Sticking my foot out over the edge of the bed at night. You know, rational, normal stuff. But right now, I'm scared of something that feels like it shouldn’t be as scary as it feels. For the 2nd time in my (albeit young) life, am taking online classes at my local community college. My first time was 2 years ago, and it sent me reeling into a deep depression. As ridiculous as it sounds, I never want to get back to that place. Who would have thought, right??? But im getting ahead of myself, so let me explain the past so one can see where the issues in my grimy future lies.

Sophomore year of high school is where our intrepid young hero begins (read in the voice of Brennan Lee Mulligan: DM to the stars). As anyone in a fiery hellscape would do, I explored a program that gave me a glimpse of freedom: Running Start. In this wonderful program, high school students can attend college classes either online or in person, and not only earn college credit, but can be at the high school less. Great! At first, I thought it would be amazing! I love to learn, and I love not being at the highschool. Suffice it to say, I rolled really low on my perception. But my perception got steadily higher the farther I got in the process of applying. I felt like it might be too much. That I might not be able to handle this. But everyone in my life told me, “you’ll be fine! You’re a smart girl! And your so independent!” So I continued on… feeling like something was off.

Cut to a month before Junior year starts. I feel…. Nothing. I’m bored all the time, and nothing really makes me happy. I’m so scared im going to fail college and it hasnt even started yet… To my family, I am the same. After all, I am used to faking emotions thanks to all those years of thinking panic attacks were SUPER normal right! But I began to explore what was happening. Our hero rolls her dice: 18. I realized something that made me break down in tears of shame. I realized I didnt feel love for my family. I knew I loved them, but I didnt feel anything.What was wrong with me? I tried to imagine horrible fates befalling my family to see if I could muster up some feelings then. No dice. (get it? Dice? RPG’s? Shut up this is comedy GOLD) My sister found me sobbing in the garage. Grabbing my mother, they went to see what was wrong with me. I explained how I was feeling, and even voiced my fear of being depressed. My mom wrote it off as burnout. Which to be fair, I don't blame her for. I had been acting just as I always had.

Skip ahead some more. High school is in full swing, and my college classes begin. Things feel...okay. I was taking 2 classes: General Psychology, and Introduction to Art. Psych was tough, and its reading was intense. 1 page took about 10 minutes, so 6 pages: one hour. The professor thought that because we were online, we needed to make up for being lazy and not going to a classroom. We had around…. 120 pages on a good week. Wanna do the math there? Let me break it down for you: 10 pages=1 hour, 120 pages divided by 6=  hours. About. Add to that the 5 hour assignments every week, 1 hour discussion forums, and hour long tests every week. Our total for this class hours per week: 27. Now, remember, I was also taking highschool classes too, and one other class. Also remember that I was 16. With an undiagnosed anxiety disorder. All it took was a month to break me, and send me hurtling towards depression with all the force and speed of a bowling ball dropped from the top of the Empire State building.

Thanks to my natural ability to repress my emotions and fears, my body decided to send a clear message that something was afoot! I began to get full body HIVES. We went to the doctor, and she basically went, “umm wow, that's definitely an immune system reaction…. But you aren't sick…. And you haven't been sick…. So I don't know why this is happening…” Always what you want to hear from a healthcare professional! So at this point you might ask: did any of this alert you to the fact something was off? No. At this point, I was in complete denial that anything was wrong. Surely getting up in the middle of the night to count pages and double, triple, quadruple check that I had planned every single second of my week was written on my planners pages. What did catch my attention, terrorizes me to this day.

I am religious, and I do my best to pray every night. During this delightful stage of my life, I began to ask God to let me die. I asked that when I went to bed, that I wouldnt wake up. That it would all just stop. That way, I wouldnt keep on down this path, suffering. I thought if I quit, everyone would be disappointed in me. What a waste. How pathetic, right? Of course, this was myself talking. But I wanted to die. I didnt even care if I went to heaven. I thought even if I ceased to exist, it would bring peace. Inkey, dark, peace filled sleep. 

This is what scares me. Because I can never get to that place. I hated myself so much. But what was worse was how I felt about my family and friends. I began to resent them a bit. Just a little. How dare they love me! Why do they have to keep me here? I knew that if I died, it would destroy them. I had no illusions that those I loved would be better off without me. While I thought I would cause them shame and disappointment in life, I knew that in death I would kill them with me. And while I might not have felt love as I do now, I never wanted to cause them pain or suffering. Ever. So here I am now. Better, because I can tell you it can get better. Scratch that, it WILL get better.

And now to the present: a full circle of sorts. I am so scared that this course will be too much, that I wont be a college graduate. Please understand: I honestly thought for a long time that I wasn't going to go to college. Not because I couldnt. But because I didnt see the point, at least for the art fields. And honestly I still do. But I know that even with a stupid certificate that I probably could have taught myself all the same information for a 10th of the price, it will open doors for me. And to be perfectly frank, I want to make my family happy. I want them to be proud of who I am. I want to be proud of myself. To prove that no stupid mental illness will take this away from me. Not again. I know I can pass and even excel in a college environment. In fact, during my tenure at Running Start, I was invited to join the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.But I want to be able to mentally handle this. I want to be strong enough for ME. I know that finishing this won't make me weak, or if it is too much that it means I am lesser than. But I'm going to try damnit! And if it is too much, then I will stop, or at least work with my therapist to see what would be best for me. 

And so, our hero begins her journey. Roll for Initiative.

legitimate advice for new phandom blogs

hey !! so i know sometimes posts like ‘RULES FOR THE PHANDOM XD’ are made and they’re all like “numba one. dan is a squishy bean respect this uwu” but this isn’t gonna be like that lol. im just going to list a few actual things that might help people new to the phandom learn about and become integrated into the community! of course these aren’t ‘rules’ and u dont have to listen to any of it ofc,,, im not here to control ur blog, just here to say what people normally do. feel free to rb whether u are a new blog or not, ill appreciate it either way!

1. be interactive! 

here, unique to our corner of timmy darn communism, we have a lot of like virtual traditions that everyone knows. these help you to make friends and also grow ur blog with some new mutuals. here are some examples.

networks: networks, or nets, are a sort of selective gc, usually with a theme or concept that it’s based around, in which all who wish to be part of fill out an application form that determines whether they get in. this is kinda the one with the most work, as u also have to make a group blog and info post, but it’s definitely worth it. i have made my closest friends in nets (such as @phleurnet which i birthed), and a lot of people on here would say the same. if you want to know more or apply, my friend diana runs an update blog @phandomnets! (examples, these are all open btw: x x x)

meetups: meetups are not in real life, don’t worry. a meetup is when someone organizes a specific time at which we all post thing around a certain theme! for instance, on halloween on tuesday, my friend milo hosted a halloween meetup. usually people post selfies but if u are uncomfortable with that, u can post art, music, or anything else related to the theme. a blog called @phandommeetupwatch keeps track of these! (examples, all happening soon/just happened: x x x)

follow forevers: a follow forever is a big celebration post when u reach a follower count milestone, no matter 50 or 5k. u tag all of the blogs you love, and they reblog it to appreciate u! it’s really positive and shows people how their work has paid off. usually people are tagged in alphabetical order, and sometimes people bold their favorites but the stylization is up to u. (recent examples: x x x)

milestone activities: sometimes people do things for their followers when they reach a follower count that involves their followers requesting something! there are many many forms of this type of thing. a common one is blog rates, in which there is a set template and the blogger rates each blog that sends in an ask using the template (info post ex: x; rate ex: x). there are also url edits (x), name/url moodboards (x), and more. u can certainly come up w an idea of ur own, being creative is great!

talk to people: that’s right dude!!! ye!!! u can message a blog u think is cool, or send an ask if u think something they made or are talking about is interesting, or add something sweet in the tags (more on etiquette later) when u rb their post. additionally, sometimes people stir up discourse, and u should participate in it if u want (past discourse examples: x x). u can also send asks when people reblog ask games, which are a list of questions with a theme (new one of mine ex: x). 

2. play around with your blog!

customizing your blog can start giving you what we call a branding, making you distinguished from other bloggers. this can include everything from as simple as using an icon to coding your own about page. 

themes: a blog can be way more appealing if it is aesthetically pleasing. admittedly, i often follow people just because of the smoothness of their mobile theme. a mobile theme is rather easy to construct as u can do it on ur own with a phone. it is how ur blog looks on a phone. although u don’t have to do this, i recommend sticking to two to four colors on ur theme and avoiding stuffing it with a lot of bright things because it can distract from content. additionally, bloggers often make their descriptions short and succinct. (my fav mobiles: x x x.) on a pc, your blog theme can be customized completely on html, meaning there is a lot of freedom. u don’t have to learn to code for this, bc u can find free themes anywhere, just search ‘free tumblr themes’ on google. once again, be creative, but u shouldn’t overload. (my fav pcs: x x x.)

about pages: in order to avoid chunky descriptions but still let people know the key deets about themselves, bloggers create about pages. sometimes these bout pages are uncoded but u can also use html code if u want to. some common things in an about page are interests, maybe personality types/horoscopes/hogwarts houses, original content, and links to other social media. (examples: x x x)

urls: urls are a key part of your blog’s brand. ‘rebranding’ is what people say if they change their url! if u are tired or bored with your url, changing it is an opportunity to change your theme and other parts of ur blog as well. (url change ex: x). 

saved urls: saved urls are basically when bloggers hoard sideblogs in order to reserve the urls used for them. if you ever encounter a blank blog that has ‘saved’ as its title, that’s probably it. sometimes people like to give away their urls, either as a constant thing (ex: x) or by doing a url giveaway (x). either way, it’s a good opportunity to change it up!

tags: in order to keep their blog cleancut and organized, a lot of bloggers have special tags for certain people, certain topics, and/or certain types of media. many people in the phandom particularly have tags for dan and phil that match (strawberries and cream, lune and sole, etc). if they have many of these tags, there can be a page for their tags on their blog. this page can be coded with special html or just a regular tumblr page, it doesn’t really matter. but it’s very useful for those who visit your blog, and makes it easy for u to navigate older posts as well! (examples: x x x)

3. learn to make og content!

producing original content helps you establish what your strengths are and why people should follow you. it also allows u to contribute to the fanbase, and gives u a chance of being noticed by dnp! and the validation is lovely. there are many options if u want to make something. 

gifs: gifs are an ART here in the phandom, and its mechanisms still perplex me to this day bc ive never tried it. u probably already know what a gif is, but if not, its essentially a short animation made in photoshop that repeats. gifmakers are often distinguished by a unique coloring (example gifmakers: x x x), such as my friend emily’s smooth dark blue tint (x). it can be a long process to learn how to gif but it is very rewarding in the end, from what i’ve heard. (tutorials: x x)

art: there is a very wide range of phanartists, all with such talents, either digital or traditional, that you can draw inspirations from for your own work. you can make cartoons, comics, realism, abstract, nsfw even, or any mix (or none) of the former. artists on tumblr definitely deserve more attention than they get here on tumblr, so be sure to show appreciation towards them! (my fav artists: x x x)

edits: edits are the Graphic Designs of our community and are usually very aesthetically pleasing. they can be centered around a certain event, like a video or something dnp made, or just for fun. the more practice you get making them, the more dexterous u’ll become. they can be a great tool if u like the design aspect of art but don’t want to actually draw. (edit makers: x x)

icons: icons are just the little profile picture that u can insert for ur blog. it’s really easy and fun to make them, kind of like a lazy version of edits. you can make them using photoshop or an app like picsart or medibang, and it doesn’t take a lot of time. more on how to use icons in section 4. (examples: x x x) (my lil tutorial: x)

moodboards: moodboards are nine pictures arranged 3 by 3 that have a certain color scheme. it’s kind of like a collage except the photo feature here separates the pictures for u. there are a lot of innovative moodboard makers that stun me w how pretty it looks or how they arrange the pics. moodboards are also an easy and fun option! (moodboard tags: x x x)

textposts: this is by far the easiest and more common form of content u will find. it’s just writing about dnp in a textpost! if a textpost isn’t very serious, people also call it a meme or shitpost. shitposting is defs on the rise here so its a good business to get into. it’s also a great outlet for ur emotions or personal connections to what dnp do! (example talk tags: x x x)

4. tumblr etiquette!

i know tumblr might seem like a simple social media (or perhaps not after u’ve read all the above?) but there’s a lot of things that u just....u just don’t do. it’s sort of like virtual manners, and if u don’t follow them, then it’s unlikely that people will like ur blog. once again, this is by no means me forcing u to run ur blog a certain way. it just happens that the types of ppl who break these rules are who we mock in gcs :////////. so yea, here’s some advice.

credits: if u decide to use someone’s art, edit, gif, or icon on the theme of ur blog, check what they require of u before u use it. most content creators strongly ask for credit in the description of ur blog, either by link or like ‘icon/header/art by ____’. it is just a common courtesy to the person who spent time on that, and if u think credit will ruin the aesthetic of ur blog, a) u probably don’t have an aesthetic in the first place and b) learn to appreciate art, binch. 

anonymity: anon asks can be very powerful either negatively or positively depending on how u yield them, so make sure that u are careful with what u send. compliments are always welcome and criticism as well, but blatant rudeness or hate will do nothing. u will only make someone feel bad about themselves and it will not accomplish anything. also, u face the threat of all their friends turning u into a meme. 

sensitivity: a lot of people here are way too easily offended by harmless jokes, a common example in the phandom being when we insult dnp affectionately and people take it way too much to heart. please don’t start drama over something w no real meaning. however, there are times when it is indeed necessary. if u want to criticise a blogger, be respectful of them simultaneously. by all means, if u spot someone being racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynist, or the like, feel free to call them out on it. but beforehand, make sure that u have done ur research and are educated on the topic, or u could turn out to be blatantly wrong. 

adding to posts: everyone makes this mistake when they start out here and that’s totally okay, but adding to every post u reblog is incredibly bothersome. a rule of thumb would be don’t add anything unless what u say will actually improve the post significantly. if ur additions are along the lines of ‘LOL’ or ‘i relate!!!!’ or ‘philly is a smol bean XD’, learn to use the tags for heaven’s sake. they’re there for not only organization but also for commenting. some exceptions, though, would be if u are mentioned in the post or the op is your close friend. 

respecting privacy: this should already be obvious to u, but respect dan and phil’s boundaries. do not tag them or their main tags (#daniel howell, #danisnotonfire, #amazingphil), in any phanfics, phanart (like specifically with them as a romantic ship), or phan edits. do not talk to their family members, expose their personal info like address or phone number, and do consider that they are real people just like u. we may make things based around phan, but it is kept in a community for us and not for dan and phil’s eyes. this is very important.

i need to finish a whole ass mini-documentary before duke's film portfolio submissions closes at midnight bc im 99% sure that's why i havent heard a single thing back from them about my application. i indicated when i submitted the common app that id add a portfolio so i guess it's just not considered done till i add one? which SUCKS bc now im totes gonna blow any chance of getting in, bc theyll see my portfolio & go "she waited to the last minute... to turn in this?" they only allow video submissions for the film portfolio, unlike basically every other college with a film portfolio option, bc usually they let you submit art and like, screenplays. but no only video so i have like,,, 2 things i can submit (out of 5 allowed) but both are Extremely Invalid for various reasons...

i have a shitty clown horror short film some upperclassmen made last year that i was a production assistant for, but im still a little salty that im credited as "production assistant" with like 5 other people, who all had jobs that were not production assistant or, it seemed, no job bc all they did was hang out all night both times we shot and i did like, a lot of extra work. i think they did more pre-production prep work than production work, but still... they just kinda chilled in a computer room with a bunch of fake blood and equipment talking the entire time. in general, those two nights make a very interesting, but an entirely separate story that involves filming in a creepy elementary/middle private christian school till 5am two friday nights in a row and me making a prosthetic neck piece for special effects armed with a youtube video and no previous prosthetic-making-knowledge. outside of that, i know i only worked on the film during filming, but like, cmon. i did a special effects job pretty damn well with little warning, i worked with the director on light and sound placement in multiple scenes, im 99% sure i suggested edits to the script that actually got used when we were first filming, i showed a bunch of people older than me how to make coffee when they ran out of monster and red bull, and i totally handled talking friendly-like to a bunch of bigoted, privileged teenagers with good film equipment extremely well for someone who wanted to kill them all at least 50% of the time when she was really just there to get more experience working on films!

unfortunately, im not credited for any of those jobs in the description, only production assistant, and, at least for the last two, some wouldn’t really count for a portfolio, even if they do require skill.

the second thing im working on is a short documentary on the 2017 stonewall columbus pride festival, bc i was there last june even tho i dont live in ohio. i have all my shots and i interviewed like over 40 people, but im iffy about using people i talked to that were under 18 and definitely not using the people under 16. also, i mostly shot film hoping i could come up with a coherent story/theme for a portfolio work later on and now that “later on” is “when i have less than an hour before portfolio submission closes”. i also got a TON of shots from the parade and im not entirely sure how im gonna use those now. another thing is that i defs dont have time to record a voiceover, so im making use of a BUNCH of creative commons licensed music and putting in shots between interview clips that are just words to explain things and pull it together a little bit. i asked some good questions at least and i have a bunch of good interview shots!! but like, ive only made an intro and a part with peoples ages, so i dont have any of the real, yknow, meat of the film. Mike let out a hiss as he stretched his arm, quickly reaching up with his other arm in order to soothe the sore bicep. He cursed at himself for not doing the extra warm routine before doing the cartwheels and flips during rehearsals. 

Right now, he was just looking forward for two things. Those two being a warm shower and you. He preferred having both at the same time but he knew you were in the middle of editing so he buried the idea at the back of his head, just until both of your schedules lighten up.

He shared a small apartment with you, a film major attending in NYU. The two of you have spent three years in your little space, more than glad that the two of you had the chance to live in a district renowned for its support with arts and theatre.

Mike began walking back to your apartment, already thinking of which movie the two of you were bound to watch.

Being with a film major like yourself, most of your afternoons and evenings consisted of watching movies while eating healthy snacks for the sake of Mike’s current job. These moments usually end up with you rambling about the cinematography of the film, its interpretation and impact to the audience, and even picking out some aspects that you would have changed.

Mike finally reached the door of your place, unlocking the door before removing his shoes and leaving his bag by the door. He plops down on the couch where he has left you this morning.

You still haven’t changed your clothes. You were still wearing his hoodie and a pair of shorts. Your glasses were slightly crooked, probably from rubbing your eyes too much he guessed. The pieces of your hair which fell from your bun framed your delicate face. Your eyes were still trained on your computer screen, the expression on your face was something he couldn’t read.

He scoots closer to you, placing his palm on the back of your neck. He slowly rubbed your shoulders, feeling how stiff there are. 

“You’ve been sitting here for so long, babe.” He muttered as he started to knead the muscle. He felt you jolt from slight discomfort before melting back into his palm.

Your haven’t faced him once since he has arrived and Mike grew a bit weary. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He whispered, his eyes scanning your face as he searched for any hints of discomfort.

“We’re done.” You whispered back, not turning your head even one. He felt his chest tighten, a shock running down his spine. He was hoping he heard wrong.

“What?” Mike panics. His mind instantly ran through all his actions for the past few days, mentally listing down anything that could possibly caused you to want to end things with him.

“We’re done.” You repeated. You couldn’t even process your own words. All you knew was that you were done. His hands immediately grasped yours, placing kisses onto your knuckles as he cradled them to his chest

“Y/N, what? I though we were happy. Why do you want to-”

“Our film is finally finished.” You whispered with a shaky breath as your were flooded with emotions, squeezing his hand. Mike suddenly stops and drops your hands to his lap, blinking twice before realizing that you were talking about your class’s final project.

He let out a sigh, leaning back into the couch. “You scared the shit out of me, Y/N!” He exclaimed, rubbing his eyes to remove the tears that were about to form. The sudden rise in volume made you turn your head to face him.

“Why?” You chuckled, still confused. “Why did that scare you? All I said was-” Your face fell as you realized how polysemantic your statement was.

You immediately jumped on top of him, wrapping your arms around him. “No, no, no! I didn’t mean it like that! I was talking about the project we’ve been-”

Mike wrapped his own arms around yours. “Don’t worry about it, babe. I should have known you were talking about your film.” He said while chuckling. You felt the vibrations of his laughter against your own.

You only tightened your arms around him. “I’m really sorry for scaring you.” You apologized again. Mike kissed your forehead sweetly before peeling you away from his body so he can face you.

“Stop apologizing,” He started, moving one of his hands from your waist to tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear and fixing your glasses. “And show me your class’s new film!” He continued, smiling at you from ear to ear.

He swore he could fall in love with you again and again. Your eyes twinkled with passion when he brought up the film. “Let’s watch it later! Once it’s finished rendering.” You leaned back forward, giving him a kiss on the lips before the scent of sweat hit your nose.

Your nose crinkled at the smell as you pulled back. “And after you shower. You stink.” You say, which earned you a poke on your side.

“I was about to before you gave me that scare!” He laughed, lifting you from his lap and placed you gently on the couch. He hovered you for a couple of second, giving you a chaste kiss. You could still taste the orange juice that he drank this morning from his lips.

He pulled away, not after pecking your lips one last time, to go to the bathroom. You slapped his butt as he walked away. “Don’t take too long!” You yelled out to him, giggling as he wiggled his butt out to you when he walked away.

After half an hour, the film finished exporting and you already have it opened in your laptop. Mike sat beside you with an arm around your shoulders. He reached for the spacebar so he could play it but you caught his wrist.

He looked at you, confused. “What’s wrong?”

“Just know that this isn’t the final final editing.”

“Babe, it’s going to be fine-”

“Like I know I’m the one in charge of the final editing but yeah. If you see any mistakes or a glitch, just tell me and I’ll-”

He quickly placed his finger against your lips. “Nonetheless, your film will be amazing.” He reassured you. You leaned back into his chest, finger hovering over the space button.

“You don’t even know what it’s about.” You muttered under your breath.

“Sure, I do!” You raised your eyebrow at him. He just nodded. “I’m not kidding. I know it’s about an orphan schizophrenic women who fell in love with a writer and she finds out that her parents were killed by him,” 

You looked up at him with awe. “Wow, I didn’t realize-”

“Shut up, I’m not done.” He interrupted you. A smile crept up your face as you nodded for him to continue telling the plot of the film.

“Then it turns out her parents were alive! Her, being an orphan and falling love with a writer, it was all part of the illusion.” He finished.

“Whoa.”

“See? I listen to you when you rambled about it.” He said, proud of himself to be able to memorize the plot.

“Alright, hot shot. What happens in the ending?” You asked him cockily, knowing that he wouldn’t know the answer.

He just stared at you with a pout. “Y/N, you know you never told me that.”

“I know, I just wanted to annoy the shit out of you.” You stated rather boldly, turning to face the screen.

“But good news is, you get to find out now!” You pressed the spacebar, the all too familiar opening credits appearing.

You nestled further into Mike, resting your head on his shoulder as he let his head fall on top of yours. He held your hand, rubbing circles at the back of it.

He gave you a kiss on the cheek. “This will be amazing, I know it.”

The closing credits of the film rolled down and your eyes were welling up with tears. You were extremely proud of what you’ve done and how the entire film turned out to be. 

The two of you sat in silence. You were a bit nervous to look up at Mike. While you are indeed proud of your work, you weren’t in the mood for a negative reaction right now. And that was what you were scared off.

It’s been a couple of minutes now and he was still silent.

You let out a slightly disappointed sigh. “Mike, you can tell me if you didn’t like-” You immediately stopped talking when you felt a small drop of water hit your cheek. You reached up to touch your eyes but they were relatively dry with no tears falling from them. Your gaze shifted upwards, only to land on Mike’s tear-stained face. He was silent yet the tears didn’t stop. His hand was holding yours tightly, as you were going to disappear in any moment.

You quickly shifted your weight to the back of your knees, turning around so that your entire body was facing Mike. You gently cradled his face in your hands, wiping away the tears.

“Mike?” You whispered, your eyes trying to catch his gaze.

When they did, he pushed your hands away from his face before hugging you tightly to his chest.

“I don’t want to lose you.” He whispered, his voice breaking. He buried his face into your neck. You felt warm tears slipping from his eyes to to your shirt. You held him close to you tightly, whispering and reminding him that he won’t lose you.

You pulled away slightly so you can make him face you.

“Where is this all coming from?” You ask worriedly, rubbing soothing circles against his cheek.

Mike sniffed, wiping the tears away from his face. He took in a shaky breath. 

“I’m sorry. The ending of the film was too much.” He said as he ran his hands up and down your sides.

“And add that with the melancholic music score and the cinematography,” He chuckled at how silly he must look right now. “I’m just really sorry, it hit me hard.”

You were out of words. Your heart fell when you realized how much the film affected him. You cradled his jaw with your left hand, leaning forward to give him a kiss.

He quickly reciprocated, positioning his hands on your waist as your lips moved against each other.

“I love you.” You mumbled against his lips. You felt him smile in the kiss as he mumbled an ‘I love you’ back.

You pulled away slowly, giving him one last peck on the forehead. “You’re okay?”

He nodded, a lazy grin plastered on his face. “More than okay.”

He pulled you down towards his body, until your face was nuzzled against his chest. “That film was beautiful.” He said, wrapping his arm around your shoulders.

“It really was, it had me in tears.” He chuckled.

“Thank you.” Your cheeks misted with a rose tint. “I’m glad you liked it.”

“You’re going to kill it out there. You’ll be breaking hearts, spreading smiles, and just flooding people with emotions.” He spoke softly, tilting your head so you were facing him.

He was grinning down at you, eyes filled with nothing but pure adoration for you. He looked at you with pride.

“You’re an artist, Y/N. You’re the one to watch.”

How do you switch from motability to owning a car with the UK's new car insurance policies?

Ok we've got a small problem. At present we get a car from motability, but we want to switch to owning our own car, but we have a major problem with this new all cars must be insured at all times or declared SORN scheme. The problem we have is that our motability car goes back in October. We're in a rural location so we need a car ready for when the switch over happens. At present with the motability insurance their insurance only insures one vehicle, the motability one, and can't have additional vehicles added to it. We've got a few quotes from insurance companies who have told us that when the motability lease expires they will give us the no claim discount based on the motabiity insurance, but they wont give us that discount until the motability car goes back. So what we want to do is get the new car before October, put it on the drive, check everything is ok with it, and then insure it when we start using it on the road when the motability vehicle goes back. Only problem is with this new law we can't do that without declaring the vehicle SORN. Some of the vehicles we've seen come with a few months road tax, so we don't really want to lose that by declaring it SORN, just for a few weeks (or is the tax disc still valid when you remove the SORN on the car?), we also don't want to insure the vehicle before the motability vehicle goes back as we wont get any NCB from the new insurer and that will cost us about an extra 500 in insurance (our current insurance price is about 500-600 but with 0 years no claims it goes up to around 1,000-1,100 - we have 3 years no claims with motability and I've held my driving licence for 6 years). I've read that you don't need this compulsory insurance if the vehicle is in trade, or between registered owners. That is one option, but how long after you buy a vehicle can you keep it in that status, would we be able to keep it like that for a few weeks or is it pretty much instant when we get the car. Obviously I realise I would need some kind of temporary one day insurance to drive the vehicle home after purchase.""

I had neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and terrible pain in my knee. I had MRI on back, knee and neck because those were the worst. That total was about $1800. I was told by the doctor that the mri on my back said I have two herniated disks and I should do therapy. I listened to him and went four times per week for four months. The Mri on my neck came back good. But my knee showed a tear in mcl. I had surgery on that and had to see the surgeon in his office twice plus hospital bills which equals a bill of $14,500. I then needed 2 months of therapy on my knee. Also all the pain meds ive been taking through out the whole process is around $600. I had a ekg for my nerves to test if they were good and that cost $800. So after doing my research I find websites that say the settlement amount s should be all bills multiplied by 3 depending on the persons insurance carrier and coverage. Well this person has $200,000/$200,000. So far all my bills have been paid through my insurance. When I do the math for what all the bills are is comes to roughly $28350. I didn't include the four days per week for therapy and seeing the doctors. That has to be a big chunk also. My lawyer called me and said he was made an offer of $42,000. He gets a 1/3 of that. I think they low balled me soooo bad on this. If i use the X3 multiplier method then it should have been somewhere around $85,000 offer. Remember I didn't even include all the visits to the therapy. Is this a good offer or should I decline and wait for second offer? My lawyer thinks we should wait it out because he has such a big insurance policy that we can get much more especially since that was our first offer.""

I was made aware of this error when I received a license suspension letter yesterday. Since then I have notified the state of Florida Of the error. I then received notice that my insurance was still not acceptable because Florida requires that if I have a florida registration, i must have a Florida policy. I called my insurance who confirmed that although they provide Florida coverage, I was under a nc policy even though I provided them with a Florida drivers license number since my mailing address was currently nc. I have had no lapse in coverage, but my insurance company cannot switch it back to florida until I am living there again at the beginning of the new year and can provide a valid address of where I will be living. I do not know where I will be living when I get back yet because I will have to find a new place to move into. Does anyone have any advice as to what to do in this situation? When I first moved to FL and transferred my tags, it cost me almost 500 dollars, so if i transfer them to NC for the time being, i will then have to pay 500 dollars again once I go back to FL""

Here's the situation: I've had health insurance for the past few years through Nationwide, which is/was provided by my employer. The cost is taken out of my check every week. I received a letter from my employer last December stating that I did not have to change anything in regards to the Affordable Health Care Act. Two months later, I received a letter from my insurance company saying that I have inadequate coverage and need to visit healthcare.gov to find different coverage. I found new coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield through healthcare.gov (I was planning on going BCBS anyway). I asked the woman who I spoke with when I should cancel my previous insurance benefits. She replied Wait a couple of weeks until you get all of your new information from BCBS . Here's where the issue comes in. When I contacted Nationwide (my previous insurance company) to cancel they said I had to fill out and send back a form. Basically, the form asked why I was cancelling. Go figure there was no option for them not having the correct benefits. Anyway, I sent that back and proof of my new policy (they wanted the effective date) Nationwide DENIED my request to cancel stating that I only had 30 days from the time my new coverage began to inform them. Even though their coverage doesn't meet the AHCA requirements, I cannot cancel until my company's open enrollment (December) Can they legally decline my cancellation request?""
