I enjoyed making the characters glow, and working on the background too. Trying to recreate it in my style and to keep the overall concept and mood... Even created a custom brush (again). So if you want me to draw simple backgrounds, choose either greenery or clouds, I think I got the hang of it 😁

My dad who is pretty religious was watching House of the Dragon episode 2. The bridge scene. We all know that chaotic chemistry scene between an uncle and his niece and he's like...OH MY ..uh well you can just tell they are undressing each other with their eyes and he was not ashamed to say that. Just makes me laugh because yes. The chemistry is beyond insane.

god i love how goncharov uses seasons to add to the narrative. the flashbacks that take place in an unusually warm Moscow summer and autum. the version of le train d’hiver that plays during the train station scene during the first time we see snow in italy in the present day gives me chills. the way the fruit stand scene and the apples represent fall, death, endings, the coming cold. the snow during the bridge scene. the literal tagline ‘winter comes to naples’ like exactly. exactly. death follows wherever goncharov goes because he’s trapped in this cycle and he’s also driving the cycle himself. ough
