There is a thing about Mirabel, that shows and highlights how and why, she is the one who is gonna save the family from their own toxic ways of coping with their pressions and trauma.

*She is able to admit on her own how unhappy she is with her place in the family, even if just for herself in her head or alone.

The rest of the family had to be "pressured" by Mirabel to open up (even if you could argue, about Mirabel didn't ask to they to talk about their feelings or problems [aka she asking Luisa about magic/ Luisa talking the pression to carry all, she asking why he "left but didn't leave"/ he saying that his "gift wasn't helping the family" in other eyes or even his but because others don't see him as helpful doesn't mean he doesn't want to help, or even how she goes to "hug Isabela to save the miracle"/ to listening and cheering Isabela to break her "Señorita Miss Perfecta Isabela" facade.

Her being able to admit how hurt she is, is the first step to help others to do the same.

Her journey not only helps her family or helps her see her family,but it helps she seeing herself and she standing for herself and others.

I personally think that due being "the Madrigal that can't be nothing more than a disappointing", if it was only herself with her hurt she wouldn't speak much,or maybe at all to Abuela (remember the "let the rest of the family what they do best"scene?) against her treatment to her, because the lack of the gift and the lack of communication probably think that she was the problem. So seeing the others hurt made her realize that she wasn't the problem here and the reason everything is falling apart is not her (or not just her) but the family being pressured and cracking under this "everything is fine" facade.

It the end she cares about the family to let them continues the unfairly cycle under this system of hurt she also live.

So she lets the walls come down.

And see how further this roots (of trauma) goes down.

Breaks the camel's back.

I agree. This is why I love “Waiting On a Miracle” so much because it’s Mirabel finally admitting to herself that she’s NOT okay, after years of sort of lying to herself and acting like she was. She was the only member to look deep down in herself and come to grips that she isn’t in the right spot, when the rest of the family couldn’t. It’s one of the main reasons why the family couldn’t see the cracks when Mirabel warned them, because they were all in-denial. When it comes to Mirabel herself and pushing the other family members in a way, I sort of see it as a good thing. I’ve said before how much I love how determined Mirabel is, she wants to desperately prove her worth and save her family, so she keeps pushing through without giving up. She’s flawed of course, but she has the best intentions and truly cares for everyone, it’s what part of makes her a character you can talk to, as Jared as explained before. She doesn’t back down, or isn’t afraid to show her attitude, and that gives her layers as a character. And yeah, seeing her family hurt as well, seeing that they weren’t this perfect amazing effortless people she grew to love when she was younger is what made her realize that she was enough, that they all were, it’s the flame that got lit when she argued with Abuela, coming to the conclusion that she was the main problem, and that nothing would be good enough for her. In my eyes, that’s why she didn’t see Abuela was in the wrong in a way before, because she didn’t know that her family was suffering, as well as Abuela was kind and soft spoken to her in the beginning stages, but slowly became more stern and toxic, especially during the course of the movie. Of course in the end, Abuela was able to see the damage she had done, and the family as well had their eyes opened, being able to come to grips that they can be themselves and no longer have to hide anything. They can all communicate, and be there for each other. They know they’re not perfect, but they’re enough, and their bonds are stronger than ever before. Because of Mirabel having this open perspective that no one else had because she didn’t get a gift and learning that there are always other sides to people, she was able to bring her family closer!

I absolutely love the style of this poster design. It’s an advertisement for the British bike company, Perfecta, and was painted by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha in 1902. The use of colour and the delicate, flowing line style give the subject an elegant and laid back feel.
