When people decide they want a castle, they have to have a vision and then hire an architect to design it. That's why I'm fascinated by them- a wealthy person's idea of what a castle should look like. This one was built in 2019 in West Linn, OR. It has 10bds, 13ba, $6M. Well, this one sure has a lot of turrets. No drawbridge, though.
Well, it's elegant, but it's got a regular entrance.
Interesting entrance. They get right down to business- the first thing you see as you enter the front door is the wine cellar. And, it's huge.
Powder room next to the wine. Look at the sink- it's the Eiffel Tower. I like the color of the toilet, too.
The entrance hall rises a dramatic 3fls. with balconies. The blue tower is an elevator.
I don't see a sitting room. They go right into the kitchen. It has a nice brick pizza oven and blue cabinets.
The pantry is large and is used to store all the dishes.
Beautiful library.
The dining room looks like it's on th 2nd fl. I like the long room and window arches. I wonder what they store in the small doors.
There's also a shower room.
Since the dining room is on the 2nd fl., maybe the turrets are the sitting rooms.
I have no idea which room is the primary, b/c there isn't one that's very large. They're all about the same size. This one has a fireplace and a balcony.
And, this one is a twin of that one, but it doesn't have the balcony.
This could be the primary, too.
Here's one of the spacious baths.
Another bedroom that's about the same size as the others.
Cute bath.
Here's a home theater that's disappointing.
Looks like a sun room.
This part of the house is another full living quarter.
It even has it's own kitchen and you can see a living room with a stone fireplace on the right.
There are several outdoor areas.
It's a huge home on 68.48 acres of land.

This may look like your ordinary mansion, but don't be fooled. This 2018 estate in Battle Creek, Michigan has everything, including being fully equipped for an apocalyptic takeover. 5bds, 9ba, $5.75M. According to the description, they spent $10M developing it into a potentially off-grid compound, so it's a steal at $5.75M.
We've seen mansions before, so we'll just take a peek at the home part, (hint- it's blindingly WHITE), then cut to the chase to the special features.
You get the idea. Click on the listing to see all 138 photos, but wear sunglasses, b/c this house is too white.
It has a sauna and a therapeutic pool and spa.
And, there's also a home theater.
The 290.55 acre lot has a lot of ground to cover. There's this fenced-in area that looks like it's for growing your own vegetables.
I don't know if they haven't set the greenhouse up yet, or if they removed everything, but it looks like the equipment is new.
There's a house that was probably already on the property when they bought it.
On a remote part of the huge property is the entrance to the bunker.
This is your spacious apocalyptic bunker ready to be filled with supplies, etc.
The soil beds are ready for you to start your indoor garden (would also make a great pot grow room).
There's storage everywhere down here.
It's gigantic.
Such a large area, it must sprawl way out underground.
Another bathroom. I counted about 4 down here.
Sleeping quarters.
Another living area with a 2nd kitchen.
A bedroom?
While everyone else is trying to escape the apocalypse, you can be having a relaxing soak.
No idea what this is- maybe a deeper, more secure space? Soundproof? Okay, I've been informed that this is a firing range. So, I guess they're preparing to battle it out if they have to.
In the meantime, you can enjoy the beautiful property. Screw those ugly decommissioned missile bunkers, this is a mansion bunker.

there are so many absolutely fascinating and startling and compelling stories about early modern jewish agents for noble/royal patrons making use of their marginal/go-between positions to take enormous risks for potentially enormous rewards that i wish could be made into good and nuanced and thoughtful films. like omg the sheer antihero vibes of some of these guys. the real personal brilliance and moral messiness of some of these successes and relationships on a truly international scale. the meteoric or wildly oscillating rise in individual or family status even re: non-jewish society. the complicated potentially fraught relationship with their jewish communities. the betrayal of being tossed aside or blatantly extorted by a patron you had a seemingly-close relationship with for years and years. i know fiction can't do it justice but i kind of think it should try!

it's actually spinning me how i saw so many tiktoks talking about how dangerous the brandon estate is in london. i was like, why does that name ring a bell. until i realised - it's the literal filming location of rose tyler's ends aka the powell estate.

Painter SEAK Claus Winkler Honored (U) Hnw Individual A few weeks ago I invested in work material and bought nails. The last weeks i started hanging the paintings with in my studio-gallery. They are all from both/ every side painted. So its some times hart choosing which side i want to see. Today I hang the painting in the right corner on my stairways wall. I painted the paintings side you see in the photo in 2002. Since 2013 Iam painting although the paintings backside with my todays standards going hyper high value detailed, hyper nuances with colors. The large painting on the left side with in this photo I would charge a few couple of million dollars/ euros. I painted the painting like it is. When the money is high enough I want paint playing with that visual idea against Don’t know if that is the reason. Now that I think about it, I might charge for the painting from 2002 although at least a million euros? I although hang lots of the other paintings today. The painting on the right side, that from 2002 is a small ‘ a ‘. I painted inthis style my small ‘ a ‘ in many countries alto und the world, in the 1990s, the 2000er years. I just accept payment per iban/ online banking.
