Hairy Beast . They are actually called Trichobothria Hairs; In effect, each hair is its own ear that filters out background noise and zeroes in on biologically relevant information, such as an unwary cricket's hopping or a spider's sneaking. hey! umm well idk if u know him, but he is a character from Lor, his name is Dallin. maybe if u could do a hc on him i would rlly appreciate it. just do it if ur ok with it. and maybe if u get interested in this ask u can get some of his "personality" in a short story where he goes on a little adventure with Quinn around the mountain.
here is the link: https://universe.leagueoflegends.com/en_US/story/shield-of-remembrance/
only do it if u are ok with it. pls i dont want to force anything. and always ur work is rlly great!
[A/N: Hello darling. I apologize for this being so late, I haven't gotten around it since I had to read the story first. In the picture, Dallin is handsome, not gonna lie. Thank you that you think my work is great. Thank you for requesting. You may ask again for more.]
(LoR) Headcanons of Dallin with a Gender Neutral s/o feat. Quinn
Tumblr media
Dallin was a Greenfang Warden. You had encountered his dog, Rigby, at the market, sniffing the kilo of meat in your basket.
Dallin had apologized for Rigby's behavior.
He was working at the time you met him and politely refused your invitation for tea and biscuits, treats for Rigby as well.
He told you that he'll hold the invitation some other time which you agreed to.
When the day you and him drank tea, you two talked about each other and found something a common ground.
You knew Dallin loved dogs, obviously, and a certain azurite eagle named Valor, Quinn's loyal pet.
He also told you he liked the outdoors and exploring Demacia's forests, which is the reason he became a Ranger in Demacia's ranks.
During your time of friendship with him, you got to know Quinn, Dallin's boss apparently.
She was a fun woman to be with and often stole you from Dallin to have girl talks.
In one of your many girl talks, Quinn had hinted that Dallin liked you.
"No, no! Not like as friends, like as in a crush "i have a crush on you" like."
"Oh...Yeah, not gonna happen."
"What? Why not?" Quinn munched on her sandwich, breaking a piece off for Valor, who was currently perched on her shoulder, looking majestic as ever.
You leaned in, your voice low as a whisper "Does he really?"
"Yes." She swallowed thickly, downing the last piece of the sandwich. "Watch this!"
"Hey Dallin!" She called. Dallin was running on the training grounds while the Laurents were practicing their techniques. Quinn made Dallin stop on his tracks and look at her.
"You like her, right?" Quinn shouted, pointing to you. You panickedly tried to shush her.
"Yeah!" He shouted back.
"Oh yeah? Then keep running!" With that order, Dallin ran a lap once more.
"There you go." Quinn stood up, Valor taking off. "You got a date. Don't waste it! Good luck!" Then she ran off to who the hell knows where. ✨~Requests are open!~✨

non-spoiler, new or expanded lore tidbits from the demacia novella, focusing on demacia and its allies:
blue-cloaks: a nickname for demacian soldiers. also referred to as “wearing the blue”
additional locations within the great city of demacia: defender’s way. trumph bridge. the tower of shield arch. victory hill. garden of orlon. north ward. argent gates
stonehorn minotaur: a tribe of minotaur which had been a part of the refugees which first founded demacia. famed for their craftsmanship and strength.
time in demacia is kept in respect to bells, ie “first bell” or “tenth bell”
tianna crownguard has been high marshal (the highest rank of the demacian military) for 12 years
the founding: used to refer to the settling of demacia by refugees of the rune wars, 300 years prior to the crowning of the first king
the mage-seekers were established at the founding as the force against the mages of the rune wars
traditionally the dauntless vanguard stands at sixteen companies of sixteen shields, each containing 8 soldiers. this amounts to a standing force of 2048
falconships: shallow and open water vessels which demacia uses, customarily adorn with birds of prey as their figure heads
bulwarks: large kite shields, twice the size of a regular shield used in demacian shield walls. only able to be wielded effectively by the largest of soldiers
havenfall: a coastal area iconic for its large white cliffs. these sea side cliffs reflect the light of dawn and dusk and take on the colours of the twilight hours
the guardian and the judicator are two constellations seen clearly from demacia, possibly the constellations of the aspect of the protector and the aspect of justice respectively
the bridge of offerings is a large and graceful arched bridge which spans the silverrun river
in addition to having “normal” animals such as chickens and oxen, demacia also sports “fusion” animals such otter-hawks which are reed dwelling aquatic birds comfortable with swimming beneath still water
last harvest: a regional feast day held within the demacian heartland, characterised by bountiful food and garlands and bouquets of flowers
everpeak: an eyrie-fortress formed of white towers and connecting arches at the highest point of the greenfang mountains. one of the few fortresses to host raptor-knights. was commissioned by king argostan from the stonehorn stone masons.
the stonehorn minotaur built much of the fortifications of demacia, including those dating back to the founding
demacian folk lore (whether real or not) includes nymphs and fae creatures
demacia prides itself on cleanliness and bathhouses are common in all settlements, regardless of size
founders road is a long white stone paved road which extends from demacia’s eastern boarder all the way west to the capital, marking the original route the refugees of demacia took upon first entering the land
custodian wall: the eastern boarder of demaica. a line of linked fortresses guarding the greenfang pass
similarly to how all demacians might offer prayer to the winged protectors, minotaur citizens of demacia will often also honour their ancestors with a motion of bringing the hand to your heart, your forehead and then the sky
the skaggorn, neighbours to demaica’s east, are folks rumoured to have been originally of the freljord who forsook their raiding culture and moved south to settle permanently
in the centuries after the founding, demacia sought the creat alliances with the nations to its east through peace and even the sword if need be. the furthest east of these allies is nockmirch
alderburg: the seat of power of the nockmirch. their ancestral home and a hilltop fortress. additionally, the nockmirch blacking the top half of their faces with charcoal and whiten their hair with ashen when in mourning.
king jarvan iii and lord eldwyn had been close friends in youth and battle brothers on the field of battle. they often shared and studied each other’s tactics
minotaurs are herbivores, possibly also ruminants like cattle given kriel’s jest
minotaurs are shod, meaning minotaurs have shoes fixed to their hooves like horses and oxen. this means it is someone’s job in demacia to put minotaur shoes on hooves. minotaur farriers is a job.

Once upon a time, in a land turned to smoke…
A brief guide to the history of Felix Delamere; Part I
The Delamere family are a line of aristocrats who have owned a stretch of land for generations; Duskspell.
This town was situated in the area between Demacia and Noxus, between the Greenfang Mountains and Nockmirch.
The most recent sovereign of the land was Helion Delamere. The family had always prided themselves on their land's defenses and Helion enforced a very strict law. No shenanigans allowed.
Helion and his wife Celeste had three children by the time she fell pregnant with her fourth; Remy the oldest at 8, Dexter at 3 and Lawrence only 2.
There were complications in Celeste's third trimester of pregnancy which resulted in her needing an emergency c-section, a blood transfusion, and for their fourth child to be delivered a month and a half prematurely.
Remy, being the only child old enough to really understand what was going on, spent all of his time at his mother’s side as she struggled to recover, as well as holding on to the hope that his baby brother survives the early birth.
In that time, Helion remained at home looking after the middle two children the best he could with the aid of housekeepers and nannies.
Ultimately, Celeste and the new baby survived, albeit with some difficulties that stuck with them through life.
Felix Ellery Delamere was born with complications to his respiratory and immune system, as well as some growth and digestive problems but he was strong enough to survive.

@lightshielded sent:
“  it’s better to expect disappointment.  ”
There was genuine surprise on the Ranger-Knight’s face at the words. For a moment, she thought this was some joke she wasn’t getting before it finally settled in her just how serious Jarvan was. Compared to other nobles she’s dealt with in the past, he certainly was something different but even this felt unexpected. She settled back into a proper composure of her rank, hands rested neatly in the small of her back with her feet roughly shoulder’s length apart.
“Perhaps, but expecting disappointment brings a sad life. Always thinking the worst is going to happen or that failure is always more likely than success can’t be healthy for the mind. Perhaps you don’t mean it to that extent, my liege, but even the slightest presumption of failure has more often lead to it than not.” One of Quinn’s hands came from behind her back to make idle gestures as she spoke, one brow raised while the other furrowed slightly from the remnant confusion of his words. Perhaps she shouldn’t question them and respond in the way she had, but it only felt natural to do so.
“If I may speak freely for a moment: Dalin, the Greenfang Warden under my command, wasn’t the best when he first became a ranger. To be truthful with you, I almost thought he signed the wrong paperwork to enlist and meant to join the general military instead. He had this defeatist attitude in him the entire time which, strange as it may sound, made me want to make him better even more simply to remove it. In time he did improve and I had to tear that attitude out of him because even though his wits were sharp and he had a solid sense of judgement, it still was a detriment to what he could be. He’s so much better now that he’s not always expecting failure on his part or those around him.”

Some head cannons about Demacia
So I was thinking about this at work the other day.
The reason Demacia is so isolated is because they don’t need to go fucking anywhere. Just look at their positioning, they are in a good in terms of production and farming. in a nice temperate valley area for farming and based on the fact that their steel is so superior means that they don’t got to go to anyone for supplies. They don’t need to talk to anyone about trade because everyone would probably go to them, they got the best steel, they got the best farming land and they probably have a shit load of marble judging by all the white in their architecture.
Tumblr media
Found this version here [link]
We can see that Noxus needs to expand in order to stretch out it’s control of resources, there is a massive gap between Demacian territory and them so it’s clear that area doesn’t contain resources worth getting, they are expanding southward and eastward. But Demacia has found the area it wants to hold and has a firm grip on it that no one is going to fight.
It would also make sense that Demacia is the end of Runeterra’s silk road, much like China they have what everyone wants and feels no reason to expand their control or fight anyone for their resources, they have what everyone wants and they got to come to them to get it. Biasing it off the deeply rich architecture and extravagant clothing that Demacia is fucking wealthy. They clearly aren’t a trade empire since they aren’t on any major trade rout; unless the Freljordians suddenly feel like going to Shurima. So they must be sitting on some amazing resources that keeps them satisfied and without need to expand. Just look at what they have made:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also biased on the lines Darius says to Garen in the card game it’s clear that no body fucks with Demacia because of: geography. They are blocked in on the north and south by mountains and by sea on the west, with the greenfang mountains also acting as a natural barrier in the east anyone invading would have to go into Demacia through a easily defend-able territory that would be horrible for attackers. They also have, as stated, the best steel which means that their equipment probably outclasses everyone else. So much so that as Darius comments it doesn’t see any use because attacking Demacia would be near suicidal for even the might of Noxus because they are so well entrenched in their territory. So Noxus expands around Demacia to the south and north but refuses to enter into the two valleys that lead to Demacia because that would leave their forces easily set up for an ambush.

Dragon Tribes
Although there are Dragoncycles in SVTFOE, why not having actual dragons in SVTFOE? Here are the list of dragon tribes in Lizards & Dragons trilogy.
Frostfangs: Ice Dragons who live in cold climates and can breath and eat ice. Tend to be distant.
Emberfangs: Fire dragons that have dominion over fire and cannot be burned but are very susceptible to water
Greenfangs: Jungle dwelling dragons that have dominion over plants. Their abilities allow them to become one with nature as well as grow plantlife from their very bodies.
Rockfangs: Tunneling dragons that can dig through entire mountains and sustain on a diet of rocks and minerals
Breezefangs: A form of sky dragon that has mastered the art of flight so perfectly that they live in a secret hideaway within the clouds.
Batfangs: Dragons that have adapted to living in darkness with their wings being attached to their arms like real bites and sustain on blood.
Werefangs: Former humans who were cursed by a malevolent dragon to become just like it when their feelings reach the surface. Marks of this curse are horns, dragonic wings and tails.
Shadowfangs: Dark Dragons that have mastered the art of Shadow Manipulation, allowing them to step into the shadow world and even going as far as to steal the shadows of others if they so pleased.
Brightfangs: Light Dragons descended from the sun who live a wholesome life and practice using light magic to help illuminate the world.
Bonefangs: Dragons that live near barren deserted placed who create bone armor in order to protect themselves from enemies.
Rexfangs: A dragon species that lack the strength to fly in order to gain powerful jaw muscles that could tear through anything as well as a powerful predator instinct.
Aquafangs: Water dragons that live under the ocean, can breathe underwater and communicate with sea life as well as manipulate water.
Vinefangs: Dragons who live in forests that can shoot vines from their hands in order to grab objects or tree branches.
Ironfangs: Dragons that eat metal and use it to create weapons for them to use themselves such as sword or cannons.
Snakefangs: Dragons who have developed longer necks like snakes, each snakefang has the characteristic of a different species of snake.
Devilfangs: Cursed dragons with sharper horns than most normal dragons and who can wield forbidden magic to curse others.
Boltfangs: Lightning dragons who harness and control the power of electricity in order to paralyze or roast their prey.
Apefangs: Dragons who lack flight but have developed stronger tails and arm muscles in order to become adept climbers in the jungle.
Asianfangs: Dragons descended from oriental dragons that possess strange abilities one might call magic such as being able to create and climb clouds.
Mixfangs: They are dragons with one parent being from another tribe, thus sharing the other tribe's features and powers.

Dragon Species
While going on the Septarian species idea kick, @wildtige429 and I have been pondering another species that was mostly never shown in the actual Star vs series: The anthro/monster dragons, another what if species of Septarsis. I mean sure we got Dragoncycles, but I don’t feel that it’s enough for me. Anyway, we were talking about the different species and I came up with about 20 of them. So far, I only came up with the names with a couple from Wild Tigre. So here they are: Frostfang, Emberfang, Greenfang, Rockfang, Breezefang, Batfang, Werefang, Shadowfang, Brightfang, Bonefang, Rexfang, Aquafang, Vinefang, Ironfang, Snakefang, Devilfang, Boltfang, Apefang, Asianfang, and Deadfang . Like the other Septarian species, I feel that there may be potential as well. Will post info once the full description of which species is which when it’s laid out.

Nobody else happens that even if they do not match any shipp, if they listen to one every now and then does an idea come to mind with it? It's happening to me with the greenflame. If by the time I finish my thesis the idea is still fresh in my head, I will draw it, if it does not stay then I will end up with the greenfang (Lloyd x Akita) that I left unfinished.

Send “📖” to find my Muse’s diary.
“…Today finally happened. My first successful hunt!We had ventured to hunt outside the walls, as per usual. The border forests and lands yield better results than within the range of the petricide forest around any settlement of the kingdom.
We had travelled towards the Greenfang Mountains, a small mountain range between Jandelle and Old Bargate. Between the two mountain ranges lies a path that is often frequented by travelling merchants, that venture East to the neutral lands and beyond. On one of our past hunts we heard tavern tales of a beast making the area its home, preying on the merchants that pass through there. Frey considered it a suitable target for us to pursue.
Hours passed until we finally tracked it down. I still do not know what it was. It definitely was different from any native creatures. Scales covering limbs and chest, claws as sharp as daggers. Teeth more jagged than any Silverwing I have ever seen. Reptile? Mammal? I do not know, nor do I care much any longer. It attacked us almost immediately. But we proved quicker than it, easily evading the sweeps from the claws that tried to grab us. Several bolts were shot, but the scales were preventing them to wound it.
But then I saw it, the opening we needed. It had scales on the outside, but not the inside. I separated from Frey, drawing its attention to focus on me. I still hear her cursing me for doing something so foolish. My plan worked and it turned to me, lunging and swiping at me. I tumbled aside and when it thought it cornered me, it opened its mouth to bite at me.That’s what I waited for! Instantly I shot three bolts at it. One missed and the second hit a set of scales of its chest. But the third! Oh it hit the mark and inside the beast’s mouth! I think it even partially came out through the back of its head! Blood everywhere, dying my leather suit crimson. But within seconds the beast dropped dead at my feet.
So this is what it feels like to have success in the hunt. To kill with your own hands and by yourself. The rush of violence and ecstasy of the kill. I still tremble in euphoria. Tomorrow we hunt again, I can not wait!I will relive this moment again and again. Until nothing remains! They shall fear me, as I once feared them! And I shall relish in every spilled drop of their blood. Nothing shall halt me, nor dissuade me from my goals!…“
