There was an anti-SOGI convoy from Chilliwack to Vancouver yesterday by the local anti-LGBTQIA2S hate brigade, and normally I'd be pissed off for the next week, but I'm currently running on a cloud of pure Schadenfreude.
You see, one of the absolute geniuses involved decided to bring his big, expensive tractor as a pace vehicle (not legal on hwy 1)...
And then, instead of pulling over, dude decides to go all Tilldozer on the highway patrol in Surrey:
So, after driving to the next exit (2km past the spot in video one, at a max speed of 50km/h) and driving onto the OTHER highway, buddy decides to head back to the freeway, bouncing off of the cop cars the whole while...
...except, he hit the edge of the median while attempting to push his way in front of the cop car onto the freeway and basically fuckin' PITT'ed himself.
He lived, word is he broke his back, but frankly that's getting away light if you watch the full footage of the roll-over
Meanwhile, the local groups/servers I'm in are like:
(here's the cop car he was bouncing off of by the way- one of the videos floating around from other drivers specifically mentioned the door coming open after one of the hits)
Oh, and he fucking bragged about it on FB from a couple of cities earlier and named his farm. You know, the farm that's now down a $250k+ tractor because of his stunt.
And the absolute cherry on top?
These are the same people who just started collecting signatures to recall the BC Education Minister in order to intimidate the province into removing queer-inclusive books from the library. They need to collect signatures from 40% of the riding she was elected in to succeed.
So, guess what city they need to collect those signatures in?
Anyways, nvr4get the Great Surrey Tractor Chase of '23 😉

i want to leave everything behind and drive again. just hours on end. i wish i could just take the truck down idk US 101 or smth. or maybe across Canada Hwy 1. some long winding highway with mountains and views and change. i want to watch the last of autumn slip into winter from the pavement and painted lines.
i like my little truck cabin. it’s my safe little spaceship. wish i could afford a transmission swap and a little camper topper and i’d be set.
i love being road-bound. there’s nothing behind you after a while and forward feels nebulous. the only real time marker is albums and the gas gauge. 40 mins on average per album. 220miles on average for a full tank of gas. anywhere gas stations and grocery stores. a pocket knife, an apple, a block of cheese. doesn’t matter. side roads and dead end frontage roads and service roads to nowhere for a quick piss and then it’s 60 mph again.
Traveling 34 miles (55 km) west of Dinosaur, Colorado, the Dinosaur Diamond encounters the small city of Vernal, Utah. Vernal borders the western end of the Dinosaur National Monument; other notable attractions nearby include Steinaker State Park, Red Fleet State Park, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, and the Ashley National Forest.
Continuing along the Dinosaur Diamond, US 40 and US 191 converge within Vernal, heading west for 30 miles (48 km) to the city of Roosevelt. Roosevelt is located on the edge of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. Heading 29 miles (47 km) to the west is the county seat of Duchesne, located within the reservation. Nearby Duchesne are Starvation State Park and Kings Peak (the highest point in Utah), which is part of the Uinta Mountain range. The Uinta Mountains are one of the few mountain ranges in the contiguous United States which run east–west, and are the highest range to do so.
Within Duchesne, US 40 and US 191 diverge, and the DD continues 55 miles (89 km) south along US 191 over an unnamed mountain pass, through the small town of Helper, and into the larger city of Price. The numerous attractions surrounding Price include College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum, Manti-La Sal National Forest, Huntington Lake State Park, Scofield State Park, and Ninemile Canyon which features numerous petroglyphs. Also nearby is the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry, a prehistoric mud trap which claims to be the densest concentration of Jurassic dinosaur fossils in the world.
Traveling 63 miles (101 km) southeast along US 191, the DD encounters the city of Green River. Notable features surrounding Green River include the San Rafael Swell, Green River State Park, and Goblin Valley State Park. Also nearby is Crystal Geyser, a rare (but man-made) cold water geyser caused by the expansion of carbonized "soda pop" water within. Within Green River, US 191 converges with I-70 for a short while and diverges again, south towards the city of Moab, 55 miles (89 km) from Green River.
Just south of the junction of US 191 and SR-128, the city of Moab features a number of nearby attractions. Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, and the Newspaper Rock and Potash Road petroglyphs.
Leaving Moab, the DD continues north along SR-128 to its terminus with I-70 in Cisco. Traveling east along I-70, before completing the "diamond" back in Grand Junction, Colorado.
SOUTH BAKHMUT /1330 UTC 17 SEPT/ Ukrainian Forces are now reported to be in control at Klischiivka and Andrivka. Heavy Fighting continues at Kurdiumivka. UKR’s operations in the Bakhmut Area of Operations (AO) Continue be Assessed as Fixative and Attritional.
Fighting North and South of the Urban is Attriting RuZZian Materiel and Manpower to no Purpose.
Despite Bakhmut’s Minor Status as a Transportation Hub, with the Intersection of HWYs and a N-S Railroad, RuZZian Forces cannot Advance on either the H-32 or M-03 HWYs as long as Ukraine firmly holds the Natural Bastion of Chasiv War.
RuZZIAN Losses in the Bakhmut AO are believed to be in excess of 40,000. RuZZia's continued fixation on the City, and Ukraine’s adroit use of continued ‘pressure’ Attacks have served to divert and Fix in Place Considerable RuZZian Military Assets that could be used Elsewhere.
Ukrainian Armed forces spokesperson
@SarahAshtonLV
Reports today that by Contesting Bakhmut, Ukraine has pinned more than 52 Thousand RuZZian Personnel, approximately 274 Tanks, a Thousand Armored Vehicles and 150 Artillery Systems into what is a useless Fight over a place of Zero Strategic or Tactical Significance.
On September 16th, 2009, Mitrice Richardson was in jail for acting bizarrely in a restaurant in Malibu, not being able to pay for her food, and having less than an ounce of marijuana on her. As you get to know Mitrice through the episode, all of this was so out of character for her. It’s likely Mitrice was suffering with bipolar disorder but it crept up slowly through the years, barely detectable. That night, it’s believed she had a mental breakdown after not sleeping for five nights.
Her mother, Latice, called the station and said since her daughter would be at the jail until morning, she would come pick her up. Morning came sooner than expected. Mitrice was free to go from the station a little after 12AM on September 17th. Latice was not notified. Mitrice was in Malibu, a place she was not familiar with, 40 miles away from home. Her cellphone and purse were in her car, which they had towed off to a tow yard on the Pacific Coast Hwy.
After Mitrice left the police station, she walked off into the darkness, never to be seen alive again.
In regards to Mitrice’s disappearance and strange death, you might start to question everything…
Day 11, Tues June 6: Flagstaff Arizona, Navajo Territories, Gallup New Mexico, and Durango Colorado. 565 km
Route 66 intertwines with the Interstate 40 east of Flagstaff, so I turn to Garmin for some back roads. I end up taking the Leupp Road and Hwy 264 through the Navajo Territories. What a morning, what an experience. The Navajo Territories cover 27, 500 square miles over Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico. Unbelievable clouds, scenery, buttes, mesas, and hard dessert landscapes. You have to be tough to carve out a living here. There is so much remoteness, some areas with no power, just a tough, vast, beautiful landscape.
Another early start, I make it to Gallup, New Mexico, in four hours. Arizona does not observe DST. The Navajo Nation, however, does so it caught up with me today and cost me an added hour, so I get there just before noon.
The ride north from New Mexico to Colorado on Hwys 491, 371, and 140 again take me through the Navajo Territories. On the way, I pass herds of horses, sheep, and cows and one classic shot of a male Llama standing on a butte looking over his herd. And over head, the beautiful New Mexico sky.
As I traveled north, I start seeing more irrigation and greenery, enabled in part by perhaps better soil but almost certainly by the higher elevation and cooler temperatures.
As I pass into Colorade (no welcome to Colorado sign, just to the Southern Ute Indian Reservation), the climb continues. No irrigation here. Colorado is just naturally higher, cooler, wetter, and greener.
Beautiful green mountains and valleys, along with distant snow-capped mountains, tell me I have definitely left the desert and entered the highland region.
As I come back from dinner, the clouds start to darken. It's been a long day, and I turn in, to the sound of falling rain.
🥭 : how important to my muse is their hometown, or where they’re from? are they proud of it, or considered a hometown hero? did they move away, or do they wish to?
He's from copperwood, tx. Its a small middle of no where rural town that sits off hwy 87 at the very bottom of tx. It aint got nothing more than four gas stations, two fast food chain joints, five churches, and maybe a max population of 5,501 residents. It aint much of nothing sitting on the very edge of a swamp and woods; and its where hell came to exist in the run down craftsman the mcmeen family rented thanks to the church. Dallas' hometown doesn't mean much to him, not really. There are about a handful or two of folks he'd think kindly of and the rest he'd watch drown if the tide rose too high. They turned a blind eye a lot of them did to what his father did to him; and the very night he killed his father a couple of them even accused him of staging the whole thing. They wanted him to be the monster, not their pastor they let chaperon their kids church camp bus rides.
He isn't considered a homeown hero, if anything he's considered an unfortunate soul that survived and now has to bear the burden of what his father did. He at least isn't alone -- his grandmother picked him up when he turned 16 and he moved his ass out of copperwood, tx and now lives in cold river, ma. Its better, not too many bible thumpers up there to demand he show respect to his dead beat shit father.
🍎 : how stable is my muse’s mental health? have they been diagnosed with any mental illnesses and / or conditions? do they have any undiagnosed mental illnesses and / or conditions? do they or should they attend therapy?
Not very. We'll be 110% honest here, he is not mentally stable or sound. He's been through too much and his doctors explained that to him when he was being watched. He'd come to them point blank and asked them what exactly they were looking for, and they'd explained to them after he delicately said ' i don't want bullshit answers. I don't want sugar coated. What are you looking for in me? ' they were trying to see if he showed symptoms like his father, if he bordered on possibly picking up where his dad left off. I mean after all this was a 15 year old boy who brutally bashed his father's (40) head in with a book end out of his sisters bed room. They were a tad concerned.
He was diagnosed with ptsd, depression, anxiety, and a few other things depersonalization disorder as well as dissociative amnesia. The amnesia cleared up after a couple of weeks, but he was still being watched for it there after in case something triggered him. He had several therapist from the age of 16-18 before one finally stuck. Eleven years he's been seeing the same man and regards him highly, they are in each others emergency contacts believe it or not. He takes therapy rather seriously and because of it he has gotten better with expressing his emotions, it was his therapist that encouraged him to write songs and follow his dream of being a guitarist.
🍍 : how comfortable is my muse in their body? how do they feel about their height, weight, strength, and body type? how important is being attractive to them?
Now? very. Before dallas struggled a lot with self image, especially after he healed and saw his scars. He went through his teen years thinking he was rather ugly due to the damage his father had done to him. It was a struggle a lot growing up and he got to the point where he didn't want to be shirtless, he didn't wear short sleeves or anything that showed his arms. He was skinnier back then, lanky and tall and while he is genetically dispositioned to be muscular and larger with his mental issues he wasn't taking the best care of himself.
Now as an adult he is very confident in how he looks, he has worked endlessly to cultivate the appearance he wants and has succeeded. He has tattoos all over covering his scars so they are visible and he feels more himself wearing short sleeves and sleeveless shirts. While he hates lifting he does put it into a regimen to do so just so he is able to use his upper body strength. He runs and walks a lot, he swims a lot too now -- focusing on things that put him at a higher level of endurance rather than brute strength. ( not to mention that when he does get tapped into his corrupt blood and nephilim blood he does inherit a extreme amount of strength )
He is grateful to his height, he enjoys being tall -- he cant imagine not being able to see over peoples heads and the thought makes him anxious and just he doesn't like the idea. His weight doesn't bother him, when his hit around twenty two and started taking care of himself he bulked up and gained weight. He looked at it as the heavier you are the harder it is to get you off your feet or knock you over, he was right. Now he is very content with his body type; he doesn't dislike how he's shaped or how anything on him looks. He is even proud of how he looks now.
Not obsessed. Lets put it that way, he knows how to dress now, he knows how to appear to others -- he's gotten very good at dressing himself according to who he is surrounded by. He isn't the most stylish but he isn't hopeless and while he doesn't always fix his hair; he knows being attractive will get you farther. He has learned people help pretty people and if he can be pretty; he tries his best.
oh that'd actually be so fun hwy are you guys better at this streaming thing than i am. we'll do a free mediashare stream (sending videos costs nothing) at 40
- Saturday I was telling my SIL about my first experience with peel-n-eat shrimp, while making us some. I was so hick I didn't know how to peel it but that wasn't what I most remembered about that day.
This was 1983, around the same time this pic was snapped. In fact, I thought the guy with his back to our little black and white TV was probably there when it happened. It was a party celebrating our graduation from Air Force Technical School at Biloxi, MS and Ken was part of the class. Another class member hosted it.
Turns out he wasn't there that day. I know because he called me about an hour later. I hadn't spoken with Ken since D (cutie far left) and I left Biloxi in the Spring of 83. When I answered the strange number, I immediately recognized his voice and when he asked if I remembered him I burst out laughing saying of course, I just was remembering him. Then I mentioned the party where I first was offered a bowl if peel-n-eat shrimp I didn't know how to eat then a bowl of pot - if that was cool. Awkward!!! The pot certainly was not cool because the AF was piss testing us almost monthly and a positive test meant getting kicked out, no second chances. Ken said he didn't remember that party.
Then I recalled he was older, married, and had a toddler. Not cool probably.
Anyway, Ken and his wife were from a nearby town. We processed into the AF together, shared the same basic training flight in San Antonio, we attended technical training at Keesler, and Ken and his wife even came to our wedding in December of 1982! However, after tech school, we went our separate ways. I went to Texas and on Saturday, Ken and Carol are coming over to catch up on where they went.
At first I was excited about this. I am interested in people in general and Ken mentioned they now live 20 minutes from St Louis, so maybe he could give me insider info about that exciting town. Ooh maybe we share some interests like restaurants, bars, breweries, etc! You know old man sports.
Anyway, after his call I sent him a text with my address. Didn't get a reply but no biggie. Yesterday, after discussing D's availability and preferences, I sent another text. No reply. So this afternoon, I sent a text saying - did you still want to get together?
Ken called shorty after. He apologized for not replying to my texts and confirmed they'd driven in yesterday. They still wanted to meet. D asked me to set up dinner somewhere. She has social anxiety especially when it comes to hosting people here. So I suggested it. There was a slightly awkward silence then he said they were hoping to come to our house. I was fine with it because I love to host and really if we were going to be catching up, we had 40 years of catching up to do. Then he said a strange thing.
He said he was talking to his brother who recommended taking Hwy 60 and...
I confirmed and filled in the last two turns to get here and said, "Don't you have a smart phone. You can't get lost anymore right?"
No, he replied I refuse to get one in protest.
WTF?
I didn't even know how to address that so I laughed and said, call if you have trouble finding us.

. ASHTON RECALLS By Ashton Hester COMMUNITY WELL SERVED RURAL SALEM RESIDENTS - (Last week I posted a story written by Doris Rogers in 1977 regarding the death of Erby Bennett's mule, which he had owned for 40 years. Following is another story by Doris, in which Mr. Bennett was also involved. It was in the January 12, 1977 issue of the Keowee Courier. Due to its length, I am only posting half of the story this week and will post the second half next week). . .Days were lazy back then, especially summer days. . .Early in the morning on those summer days people of the Fall Creek community above Salem came to the community well to get their water for the day. Water to drink, water to cook with, for washing clothes, cars, for bathing and for watering the animals. . .And as they waited their turn at the windlass, the people dreamed and shared their hopes for the future. . .In 1935 this well was dug by the three Bennett boys, Vondiver, Erby and Oliver, and their friend Tommy Hancock. By hand, with picks, shovels, ropes and buckets, they worked their way down 55 feet to what was and still is the best-tasting water in the area. . .Over the years 15 families have been serviced by the community well--eight families at one time--which still has the original windlass. There in Bennettsville, Route 2, Salem, stands the provider and old friend, which now has a new cement-block box. . .Several times new residents wanted to put pumps into the well to prevent walking and carrying their buckets of water, but the two older Bennett men wouldn't allow it. Their reasoning was that unequal consumption would result in unfair advantages and would eventually leave the well dry. . .TO BE CONCLUDED NEXT WEEK

ADVENT SEASON: The 4th Advent Candle was lit on Sunday: The candle of Peace for all mankind. On Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, the white center candle of Christ will be lit to welcome the Christ Child, Emanuel, God with us.
SHARING: Recently, I stood on my porch and looked at some maple trees I planted, from one gallon cans. They are huge now. Mixed with them now are oaks, pines, cedars and dogwoods. All of the trees have a foliage that is green, but different shades of green depending on the season. We must take time during our busy lives and enjoy the wonders of Nature, God created. Let us be thankful during this time as we celebrate the arrival of Jesus Christ, AMARTIN
O HOLY NIGHT: The beloved Christmas song “O Holy Night” was banned from churches in 1847 because the poem was written by an atheist and French poet, Placide Cappeau, and composed by a Jew, Adolphe Adam. Imagine the feelings you would never have experienced if that song of unity and serenity of Christ’s birth had never been heard. The story is told in the Franco-Prussian War of 1871, a French soldier started singing “O Holy Night” on Christmas Eve. In the middle of battle, the soldier stood up, unarmed from his trench and faced the Germans as he began singing the hymn. Germans in return sang a carol of their own language. The war ceased for 24 hours, and soldiers from both camps celebrated Christmas before returning to battle. Since 1933 the cherished hymn has gained wide acceptance.
