#Happy Birthday Tomioka-San!
Text
Well, today, February 8, is the birthday of our beloved Water Hashira, Giyuu Tomioka. So, to celebrate, a dose of love and smiles for this emo that everyone loves and deserves love. (Of course I had to do a second part, this guy deserves love)
Warning: This fanfic contains tickles. Also remind them that I don't speak English, so if they find any errors, let me know to correct it. I hope you like it!
Summary: This is a aftermath to my previous tickle fic. Giyuu will receive a kind gift from his partners
Lers: Iguro Obanai, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Mitsuri Kanroji, Rengoku Kyojuro and Uzui Tengen
Lee: Tomioka Giyuu
(Part 2)
The party was fun, they danced, they told some stories, they ate together. Tomioka was happy, although he didn't show it, he felt extremely happy to be with his classmates and friends. Although he would have liked Tanjiro to stay a bit longer, but he couldn't because he was entrusted with a mission.
'There's still a little bit of food, would you like another plate? I don't want it to go to waste', Mitsuri and Rengoku's eyes lit up and they quickly helped themselves to more food. 'It was to be expected, do you want more?', Obanai denied, he preferred to see Mitsuri eat, Muichiro was already full, Gyomei and Sanemi accepted a little more and Giyuu still hadn't finished his plate. 'Thank you, ehhh Tokito, what's that next to you?', Sanemi pointed to a gift next to Muichiro, who looked at him confused, he didn't remember how he got there. 'I don't know, is it supposed to be a gift?', Mitsuri avoided laughing at his answer and took the gift. 'This is Tomioka-san's gift?', Muichiro thought again and nodded slightly remembering. 'I think so, happy birthday'
'Open it Giyuu, what is it?', Giyuu opened his gift, it was a scarf with almost the same patterns as his haori, he couldn't help but smile a little. 'KYAAAA!!!', Mitsuri noticed that smile and got very excited, the hashiras looked at her confused until she pointed to Tomioka's slightly smiling face. 'Wow, Tomioka, you should smile more often! You have a very striking smile, I like it. What do you think Rengoku?' 'Totally agree! Your smile is so cute Tomioka, you should smile more!!' These comments embarrassed Tomioka, who covered her blushing face with his haori. Shinobu and Gyomei smiled when they heard that their classmates were having fun in their own way.
'EEEE!! Tomioka-san is blushing!! So cute~', Mitsuri kept throwing such comments, which made Obanai jealous. 'Hey Mitsuri-Chan, do you want to see something amazing?', Obanai whispered in her ear and she nodded excitedly. 'Sanemi, give me permission', Obanai whispered to his friend, he didn't ask anything and they switched places. 'I hope that's how you learn that damn piece of trash not to make Mitsuri blush or praise you', Obanai pressed on one of Giyuu's hips which made him jump. He felt all the eyes of his companions on him, his blush appeared again and it got worse with this.
'That...? Tomioka did you...?' 'No!', Tomioka knew what they were going to ask, it was bad enough that Obanai and Sanemi knew, and now the other hashiras, it was humiliating
Giyuu frowned and looked at Obanai, who was smirking under his mask. 'Please Giyuu, you know you can't help that', he raised his fingers and slowly approached him, Giyuu stepped back but collided with Rengoku's chest, who imprisoned his arms while laughing. 'Hahahaha careful Tomioka! You could fall! Now why don't we let my aniki tell us more of what he knows? Obanai?', Rengoku found this discovery amusing, but Giyuu knew he was in danger, now that Tengen, Rengoku and Mitsuri knew, they won't miss the opportunity to tickle him.
'Rengoku, let me GYAH!!', his words were interrupted by a shriek. sting that Rengoku gave to his stomach. 'Now now Tomioka, let you go? This is just beginning! Coochie Coochie little one!' Rengoku began to scribble his fingers on Giyuu's stomach, who gritted his teeth trying not to laugh. 'No! R-Rengoku! St-stop!' 'An unnecessary reaction! Let me show you an extravagant way to make people laugh like him!', Tengen raised his fingers approaching Giyuu, who started to get more nervous and embarrassed.
'Dohohon't!' 'OHHH SO CUTEEE!! I WANT TO MAKE TOMIOKA-SAN LAUGH TOO!', Mitsuri tried to get closer but was stopped by Obanai, he only stopped her to say something in her ear, whatever he said made her smile and moved to new heights.
'Tengen, go get his ribs! I'll take his hips!', he quickly approached and climbed on his legs to make sure he didn't escape' 'Whatever you say!', Giyuu felt like he was going to die, the 3 worst lers of the hashiras now knew his secret. 'No-! wait! GYAHAHAHAHA!! NOHOHO!!', he arched his back as he felt 10 fingers on his ribs and hipbones clinging to those places like magnets. 'HIMEHEHEHEJIMA - SAN HEHEHEHELP!!!', he tried to ask the Stone Hashira for help, but he found this a way to make Giyuu feel happy, so he only recommended stopping when he couldn't take it anymore. 'Hahaha! Take that Tomioka! Do you know what's the best? He enjoys being tickled!', Sanemi exclaimed when he then felt Shinobu's angry look, because they had promised not to talk about that secret. 'Oh oh oh! Really?!', Uzui laughed more as Giyuu tried to nod.
'Ohhh what a softie, isn't that lovely?!', he teased to switch places with Rengoku, this time holding Giyuu so he wouldn't move. 'Of course! Tomioka, you could have told us that! We are your friends! Isn't that so guys?!', Rengoku decided to give him a little rest, tickling his side and part of his stomach. The other hashiras only nodded, well except for Obanai and Sanemi 'Stahahahap! Dohohon't tehehehase me! Plehehehehease! Ehehehehe!!'
'Oh Tomioka-san's laugh is so adorable! You know you can tell us to tickle you as many times as you want, we're delighted!' Mitsuri smiled as she gave his hips a few friendly squeezes. 'Okahahahay okahahay! Now stohohop!', he was lying, he was enjoying a certain part. 'Oh please, we know you don't want them to stop, you love tickling!' 'Yohohou're nahahat one tohoho tahahahalk, hypocrihihihite', Giyuu replied, now part of the gazes were directed at Sanemi. 'Oh, so you too, Shinazugawa?', Sanemi knew how to control his embarrassment
'You already screwed yourself!', he approached moving his fingers, at that moment he regretted having answered him. 'Nohoho! Sanemi! Plehehehase NAHAHA!!!', Giyuu dropped his head on Uzui's chest, it was the only thing he could do, he couldn't kick or wave his arms, he was trapped and helpless as Sanemi attacked the space where his armpits and ribs met
'WAHAHAHA!! SANEMI!! I'M SOHOHORRY!!' 'Prepare to meet the wrath of the Wind Hashira!!', Mitsuri, Rengoku and Uzui, just laughed and also helped Sanemi 'destroy' the Water Hashira. Sanemi his ribs, Mitsuri his thighs, Rengoku his hips and Uzui his armpits, after all Uzui only needed one hand to keep Giyuu's arms away from his body.
'HAHAHAH!! HEHEHEHEY!! NOHOHOHO FAHAHAHAIR!!! YOU ARE TOHOHO MAHAHAHAHCH!!', Giyuu squirmed at the combined touches of the 4 hashiras
'It's not like he's asking me to stop, it's obvious that he likes it' 'SHUHUHUT UHUHUHUP!!', well he couldn't deny that, he was having fun but it was definitely too much, besides he was already tired from the round he had before with Shinobu. 'Oi, who are you silencing?', Obanai approached Mitsuri and took one of his hips but unlike her, his tickles were stronger and more precise. 'GYAHAHAHAHA!! I'M SOHOHORRY!!', Giyuu was on the edge now, it wasn't long before tears of happiness rolled down his flushed cheeks.
'STAHAHAHAP! *hic* E-ENOUGH!! *snort* PLEHEHEHEHAHAHAHSE!! *hic*' 'That's enough, let him rest for a moment', with that order given the 5 of them moved away from Giyuu who was panting on the ground trying to catch his breath
Muichiro walked over to his 'brother' and hugged him 'Are you alright?', Giyuu smiled goofily and nodded. 'Cute~', Mitsuri cooed at that scene. 'Sanemi, Obanai we'll have a serious talk about this later, okay?', Shinobu smiled at both of them, but his intentions weren't good. 'O-okay Shinobu, it-it's not necessary. T-thank you... It was the be-best birthday', Giyuu smiled at his companions before closing his eyes a little tired.

Can you make a Lee Giyuu and Ler Shinobu fic?
For Shinobu's birthday, Giyuu is one of her favorite victims and I suppose she could blackmail him and tickle him for that special day for her.
Please
Well, maybe not her directly since she doesn't like (somewhat) blackmailing someone in order to tickle. But Giyuu will get on Shinobu's nerves and that will make him tickle... (but I will take or try to take your suggestion into account)
A/N: I can't say it's a ship, interpret it however you want!
Tumblr media
Lee: Giyuu Tomioka
Ler: Shinobu Kocho
'Isn't the morning beautiful?! Today is a good day! What if-?!' 'GUYS GUYS GUYS!!', Rengoku and Tengen stopped, giving their friend the chance to join in. 'Hey Kanroji, we were going to go to...-'
'TODAY IS SHINOBU-SAN'S BIRTHDAY!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GIVE HER AS A GIFT!! HELP ME!!', Mitsuri pulled Kyojuro's cloak desperately, she had so many options to give her friend but none of them convinced her that much.
Tengen moved Mitsuri away a little and calmed her down, she wasn't the only one in that situation.
'Well, we were just going to Himejima's estate, he's been planning something for her... You could help us if you like', needless to say what Mitsuri's response was.
'Since we're all here... I guess you
know that Kocho's birthday is today, the good news is that I have everything prepared to celebrate here. Even the girls at Shinobu's estate know it... The bad ones... I didn't have time to complete some things, among them is to go get the cake and keep Shinobu away from here...'
'Mmm... I know of something that will keep Shinobu away from here... Or rather... SOMEONE', Sanemi laughed and left the house without saying anything else, leaving everyone intrigued.
Where was he going? What did he have planned?
'Shinazugawa... Let's see if I understand... Are you telling me to provoke Shinobu to tickle me so you can plan the party?', Sanemi nodded, pushing him in the direction of Shinobu's estate and grunting when Giyuu put his strength and decided not to go any further. 'Oi... What the hell is wrong with you?! WALK THE FUCKING TIME!!'
'And why don't you come in and be the one who receives the tickling?'
'Because you're her best friend, her favorite victim and because she wouldn't scold you for it later', well, he had caught Giyuu in that situation. Even though Sanemi was right, Giyuu did not agree...
Shinobu had nothing more to do on her estate, the girls had already congratulated her and convinced her to go out so she could distract herself and have fun, something Shinobu had accepted and was about to do until...
'OUCH!! HEY-!!' 'AND YOU BETTER NOT SAY ANYTHING!!', Sanemi ran away after having pushed Tomioka to Shinobu's office, who screamed but calmed down when she realized that it was Giyuu. 'Tomioka-San? You scared me... Tell me, what brings you here?'
Giyuu sighed, turning around and approaching Shinobu for a hug and pat her head
'Happy birthday Kocho. I know that as a doctor, your duty is to stay and treat patients, but I would like you to have a little fun and de-stress this day... I love you very much, friend'
'Awww, thank you very much Tomioka-San! I thought you had forgotten... I was just about to leave, what do you say we go out to eat?', she smiled
He could have said yes, but if she went out, her surprise party could be ruined and Shinazugawa would probably hang him for doing so... It was now or never... 'Tomioka-San? Yoohoo! Hey hey Tomioka-San? Are you listening to me?'
'Yes, I'm sorry... It's just that, I'm surprised that even though you're an adult, you haven't grown a single centimeter...', Giyuu was going to regret that, he was sure of it.
Shinobu smiled and moved one of her fingers, motioning for Giyuu to come closer.
He had to, if he made her chase him, she would be even worse off than she already was. 'Now now Tomioka-San... Raise your arms and if you dare to lower them, you'll know what will happen...~'
'Hehehe Kocho... I didn't mean it... I just...-' ' I said... Arms up, you know what happens if you don't...', the movement of her fingers was enough for Giyuu to raise his arms nervously.
But it didn't last long, as he almost immediately lowered them, covering his ribs as Shinobu began to move her fingers like spider legs. 'SHI-SHINOBUHU!! C-COHOMEHE OHOHON!! NOT THE-THEHERE!!'
'Tomioka-San... I said arms up... This is your last chance... Very good! Now... Where was I~?'
Shinobu smiled to repeat the same movement again, also trying to contain her laughter when she saw Giyuu start kicking his feet in the air, she didn't know if she was trying to hold back her laughter or keep her arms up, but she wasn't achieving either of the two.
'Why did you say that Tomioka-San? You have hurt my feelings... I could have expected it from Tengen, Obanai or Sanemi, but from you? I'm disappointed...'
'I'M SOHOHORRY!! KOCHO!! I'M REHAHAHALLY SOHOHOHORRY!!!'
'Mmmm, are you really sorry? I don't know, you wouldn't bother me like that if there wasn't some reason...', oh fuck, she had realized! '...So Tomioka? Which is the reason? Tell me and then I'll stop tickling you...~'
Giyuu shook his head, Sanemi's words immediately coming back to him as he was going to confess the truth.
Shinobu just sighed and shrugged, reaching down with one of her hands and starting to play with the buttons on her uniform. 'Your uniform bothers me a little... Unbutton it!'
'B-BUHUHUT-!!', he couldn't even think of excuses to avoid it anymore.
He lowered his arms and unbuttoned part of his uniform, it was enough for Shinobu to continue. As if that were not enough, Shinobu this time chose to sit on his lap, smiling and raising her arms and giving him one last chance.
'Last chance Tomioka-San! Confess why you did it and I'll set you free!'
'...No...'
'Oh well, you asked for it~'
It was only a matter of a few more minutes for Giyuu to give in, he couldn't take it anymore! Shinobu's weight preventing him from kicking, his arms above his head making him more vulnerable and sensitive, added to the fact that his skin was somewhat exposed made him feel that that tickling session had been a torture that lasted HOURS.
'Know? I'm starting to think you forgot to buy my gift and that's why you did this. Did you want to give me your person as a gift so I could tickle you~?'
'THAHAHAT'S AHAHAHA NOHOHOHOT THE REHEHEAHAHASON!! *snort* STOHOHOHOP!! *squeal* NO MORE!! NO MOHOHOREHEHEHE!!!'
'I gave you many chances to tell me the truth... But your snorts are cute, if you make one more, I'll give you another chance. So-!', her sentence was interrupted by a snort from Giyuu.
Keeping her word, she looked at Giyuu, giving him the last chance, without stopping... What did you think? Shinobu didn't fall for such games of deception so easily, so Giyuu had to take a deep breath to at least say a sentence without laughing.
'SURPRISE PARTY!!! OKAHAHAY!! I SAHAHAIHIHID IHIHIT!!! I'M DYIHIHING KOHOCHOHO!! PLEHAHASEHEHE!!!', she finally stopped.
Shinobu let Giyuu hold her as he tried to catch his breath, perhaps she had overdone it. After making sure Giyuu was okay, he let him explain the situation. 'And that's why... Excuse me Kocho... I didn't want to ruin your surprise...'
'Well, if you had told me that instead of calling me "dwarf", I would have understood and you would have been saved!'
'I know...', Shinobu raised her eyebrows as she smiled at Giyuu, who understood why she smiled that way.
Well, maybe it wasn't a bad birthday for Shinobu after all...

┊┊┊✧ ⁺ ⁺╚══ Kimetsu Daycare ╝
Premise: Kiriya calls the former pillars to celebrate his coming of age ceremony. Since the three of them have children, his sisters offer to take care of the lot. Welcome to a hell of a day in the Kimetsu daycare.
Word count: 4026
Note: This is based on the families I created for the three of them in my previous work (you can read them here Sanemi, Giyuu, Tengen).
Warning: Spoilers, this story takes place after the original manga timeline.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
A day to celebrate has come, Kiriya-Sama’s coming of age ceremony. It was finally happening, him being officially an adult and as a healthy as one can be gave more than one reason to celebrate.
He sent crows to call for the former pillars, he had acquired a letter his father left for him to read after his passing if he ever reached said age and in it there was a section dedicated to every single pillar, even the ones no longer with us, he wanted to share his words with them as means of celebration.
His sisters volunteered to take care of the children so he could be a host for the adults without having kids running around everywhere, it sounded like a good, well thought plan. But the Ubuyashiki clan was anything but sloppy, everything had to be done to perfection, they had to have everything under control.
Kanata and Kuina had a list for everything. A list for snacks to buy, a list of toys to prepare as well as games, a map of the state listing the best rooms to hold the activities, even a list of their guests with notes gathered by informers.
“Ok, so Shinazugawa-san has five children, Tomioka-san one and Uzui-san has three. It should be ok with just the two of us, two of the children are old enough to help. Let’s go over the list Kanata.” They were pacing around the room chosen to be the designated day care for the evening, making sure they had everything ready, from toys to art supplies, to snacks.
“Sure, ok. Shinazugawa Sanehiko, age 9. The oldest of the lot and the levelheaded one. Brother of Genma, age 5, Remi, age 3 and Senri age 1. His youngest child will stay with her mother since she was born recently. From this list the girl is the one known for being a little troublemaker.” Kanata was now checking the toy box making sure they had toys fitting all listed ages.
“Tomioka Yuki, age 3. He’s pretty much a clone of his father. Never liked him much so he might be troublesome. Known to be quiet and well behaved though, but spoiled.” nodding in agreement her sister was adding more sweets into the baskets as a way to persuade them later on in case of tantrums.
“And lastly the Uzui household. Uzui Shingen, age 8, brother of Tenya, age 3, they’re both a little eccentric but not enough to worry about. They also have a half-sister, Sachi, age 6, who’s personality is just like her mother’s and is probably the one we need to look out for the most. The brothers are also not reliable, according to the information gathered they don’t get along with her.”
“Seems like it will be a long evening….Let’s go make sure the rooms where they will be staying for the night are ready. We probably need extra futons for the Shinazugawas.”
The state was quite far from majority of the other’s houses, except for the Uzui household, so they had prepared not only dinner, but also rooms for everyone to enjoy the celebrations to their full potential and a bountiful breakfast for the next morning. This was everyone’s birthday, not just Kiriya’s but his was more significant, a milestone that had to be celebrated beyond typical family traditions.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Once everyone arrived at the state, party mode was on.
Kiriya was a sight to behold, he looked just like his father just that without the scars, just as handsome, just as gentle natured. It gave mixed feelings to the former pillars, a lump of tears clogging their throat. They were happy for him, happy he was able to reach this important milestone, healthy, happy they managed to break his family’s curse. But they were also sad his father couldn’t see this moment. Angry they couldn’t protect their master.
After hugs and introductions, the children were taken to their playroom for the night while the parents stayed together at the main hall. Kiriya was being spoiled by the women of the equations and he was living for it. The night took an unexpected turn for the host, but he was enjoying his coming-of-age ceremony just fine.
Meanwhile the pillars got to catch up.
“So, are you telling me you lived with your wife for seven years before you got her pregnant?” Sanemi was out of words, he knew how Giyuu was overall as a human, but there should be limits to how dense a person could be.
“Yes, is that a bad thing? How long was it for you?” his clueless self was the common cause of laughter around. His wife had made some ohagi for the Shinazugawas as she learned about their obsession with the treat on their last visit to the household, so the three of them were munching on the sweets as they chatted.
“Ugh, three weeks? Something like that, under a month for sure.” Giyuu was the one speechless now. Tengen was cackling in the background overjoyed with the new information gained.
“You both are the worse. Shinazugawa, you need some restraint. Tomioka, you have problems man…I thought you’d get her full by the time Shingen was born. You both looked so ready.” Giyuu was deep in thought trying to analyze his own past, Sanemi smirking on the side, taking Tengen’s words as a compliment.
“It took a while for us to move forward. We were part of the same family, even if it wasn’t by blood.” nodding Tengen understands the dilemma quite well, he was forced to take three wives at a young age, it did take him a while to get intimate with each of them separately and he has a good outgoing personality, unlike Giyuu.
“How about you, Shinazugawa? Is baby Sae the last one?” Giyuu kept on sneaking glances at the sleeping baby in her mother’s arms, he really had a thing for babies.
“Stop staring at my wife Tomioka, or I will gauge your damn eyes out of their fucking sockets.” scowling at his old pillar mate, he cleared his throat. “Can’t say for sure. We don’t really plan them out if you know what I mean. They come when they want to come.” shrugging, he sipped on the fine sake provided by their welcoming host.
“And you’re no one to stop them from coming. Am I right?” Tengen was wiggling his eyebrows suggestively at Sanemi, which made his wicked grin to grow wider.
“That’s right.”
It’s funny how well the three of them get along now a days, getting older had its perks, they see the world differently now and even if Sanemi keeps being as snarky as ever, Giyuu a sour sad looking lad and Tengen the sleaze ball he always was, they now see what they have in common instead of what makes them different.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
The evening was lovely.
Tough the Ubuyashiki sisters were not quite enjoying themselves at the moment.
Sachi was wailing like the world was about to end, desperately calling out for her mother. They didn’t think this through, maybe it was a bad idea to separate them from their parents. They thought the youngest ones would be the ones to cry for their mother, which they prepared for, but this one was old and they had no idea how to calm her down.
“Can’t you do something about your sister, Shingen? I’ve never seen someone cry this much.” Sanehiko had a headache, and he was in charge of taking care of his siblings, he wanted to shove a toy down the child’s throat, but he does his best to repress such violent thoughts the way his mother taught him to.
“She’s not my sister.” that just made her cry even louder. She wanted nothing more than her siblings recognition.
“I only have one brother and he is behaving, even when he’s only three. She’s the annoying daughter of the other woman.” Shingen didn’t like Suma, he couldn’t really understand his dad, why did he have to have four wives? Was his mother not enough? Was he and his brother not enough? He was going through a difficult age where he started questioning adults and trying to find his place in this world, but Sanehiko, the closest in age, never had to worry for something like that and didn’t know how to comfort his new friend.
Sachi was now hitting his back with both of her fists, crying even louder for calling her mother ‘the other woman’. Kanata decided to take the child out and look for her mother as the rest of the kids were starting to get edgy because of her, leaving Kuina as the only guardian of age in the room.
Thankfully things went smoothly as soon as the crying girl was removed.
Tenya was a flamboyant child, at least according to his father. He had interesting tastes in life and would chose to engage in very different activities than the others, he was currently making feather necklaces for him and his brother to wear, utilizing the art supplies given by the care givers. Like a true Uzui, fashion was important at all times.
Genma was trying his best to keep his sister off of Yuki-kun who was now pulling at her hair after she bit his cheek. “Nii-nii let Remi go! Yuki is mean! Have to bite!”
“No more biting Remi, mother will be upset!”
“Ppa laughs when I do.” she was now chewing on her brother’s hand, Genma’s eyes silently calling for his older brother to interfere.
“Remi enough. Come here, I need you to help me with Senri.” being the eldest had its good side, even wild little Remi would listen to him.
The love-hate relationship Remi had with Yuki resembled the one their parents used to have back in the day, even if her mother suspects her daughter has a cute little crush on the youngster. They’re still too young to know the difference.
Once Sachi was out of the room and Remi on baby duty, the room was pleasantly quiet. Shingen was reading a story to his brother, Genma and Yuki, while Sanehiko was helping Kuina bring out some snacks.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Tenya, unlike Yuki seemed to enjoy being around Remi. He would constantly cling onto her and even made her and Senri a matching feather bracelet for them to wear, making little Yuki sulk in a corner of the room. Is not like he wanted Remi pestering him around, he also didn’t want one of those crazy looking bracelets, but he wanted to be part of the group, they were the closest to him in age after all but he didn’t know how to approach them.
Sanehiko being the older brother to four, knew what was going on. He beckoned Yuki to play with him and they spent all night playing boardgames along with Shingen. They were having a blast; it was a shame their houses were all so far away from each other.
Specially for Yuki who was an only child, he deeply craved for this type of connection with others, unsurprisingly, the oldest ones were the ones that brought him under their wing, he was way too mature for his young age, he felt more comfortable with them than with the other toddlers.
By the end of the evening he was silently wishing Sanehiko was his older brother. Even if he gets a sibling one day he knows he would never have an older brother no matter how much he wanted one, he would always be the eldest, so in that little head of his, Sanehiko became his older brother that day, the one he looked up to, the one he wanted to be like, the one he wished to spend his time with.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
On the main hall hell broke loose. Suma had to leave with her child as even her father was now annoyed and tired of her bad behavior. Tengen isn’t a strict father, if he was being honest, he probably neglected his own daughter. He is constantly training his eldest son or lounging around with his youngest, teaching him the ways of a flamboyant high maintenance man. So this was probably his fault, he needed to discipline not only his daughter, but her mother as well.
“You have it rough, Uzui. Who would have thought being a manwhore would bring such a problematic life as an adult.” Sanemi was enjoying this. He was proud of his family, they were all well behaved, sweet children. Their mother had high standards of education, the two eldest even knew how to read and write by now. His wife wasn’t of high society, they were farmers, nothing fancy there, but she was the brightest star in his eyes, and he wanted to brag about his success, feeding off others’ problems.
“Yeah…don’t ever do that man. Keep just one wife...” he thought Tengen would snap at him, shove him around, banter for a while. Never thought he would agree to his statement.
Sanemi scoffed, offended by his reply, “Like I would ever do something to hurt my wonderful wife. She’s more than I deserve.”
“Hurt, huh…? Yeah…you’re right. I never thought things would get out of control you know? I thought bringing one more wife into the family would be just one more mouth to feed. Never thought it would cause such chaos.” Sanemi was a little startled by this, Tengen wasn’t one to open up, not to him at least. “I fell in love. I brought her to my house. Gave her two beautiful sons. All I wanted was for her to be happy and I concentrated on her and my first born for a long time, everything was wonderful back then. But Suma…she kept on pushing she wanted a child too, always asking for my affections, and who am I to deny her? She’s my wife too I can’t just give my entire life to one of them and ignore the others.”
“Of course you can man, is called divorce. You’re just looking for excuses.” the term made Tengen squirm in distaste. He’s thought about it, what’s even more scary, he knows his darling love had thought about it, but it wasn’t that easy.
“I can’t just leave them, Shinazugawa. Life doesn’t work that way. I made a promise to protect them, keep them by my side.”
“You made a mistake, Uzui. But that wasn’t bringing the woman you love to your house and giving her children. The mistake was keeping the rest around. Of course they would want their husband to pay attention to them, of course they would want kids of their own. You can’t have it all man.” he never thought of Sanemi as a wise man, he could see how much growth he’s done in the past ten years and makes him wonder if he had changed at all, but he assumes not.
“The other two don’t mind honestly. If it was for them we would have more kids than you already. They get along really well and love her like if they were real sisters and they kindda have each other if you know what I mean.” he pointed over to his eldest wife’s hands all over Makio, slightly drunk already, making Sanemi gasp in understanding. So that’s how he managed to keep that many wives happy. Makes sense.
“So the annoying one is the problem. Can’t you like I don’t know leave her? Or better, you leave with your woman and your sons. Get another house just for the four of you, leave the others in the old house and visit your daughter when you can. They’re capable women, I’m sure they can survive without you.” It wasn’t that bad of an idea, he needed to think this through for the sake of the people he loved. Sanemi might be a little to harsh and drastic but he speaks truth, he needed to find a way to support his crumbling family before it was too late, set his priorities in order.
Giyuu was feeding Sae who was now being held by her mother, much to Sanemi’s distaste. He couldn’t get his paws off his little baby and his wife allowed him to hold the newborn.
“Tomioka you really like babies, don’t you? Or is it baby fever again? Go get your woman pregnant your poor child could use a sibling to play. Must be awfully boring having you as his only playmate.” Tengen needed to distract himself, bullying Giyuu was always the easy way out.
“W-what are you saying. She’s just so small and soft…is distracting.” baby Sae was now holding onto Giyuu’s finger, gazing up into his eyes.
“Don’t you dare fall in love with my daughter, you would end up with my nichirin shoved up your ass.” Sanemi was now holding his wife from behind, nuzzling her neck with his face. The alcohol was getting to him by now, making him needy for his wife’s attention.
“Oh for fuck sakes, get a room you two. So much sweetness is making me sick.”
Giyuu froze at Tengen’s words, hogging the baby to the side in case their parents decided to act upon the suggestion, he wasn’t ready yet to say goodbye to lovely Sae.
Kiriya was now walking up to his comrades, the night was still young, but the children were probably tired already, Kanata looked like she lost a couple of years of her life span when she brought the Uzui child back, his sisters also needed to rest and enjoy their coming-of-age day.
“I have an announcement to make.” he sat on the middle of the room, the former pillars making their way over to sit around him like they used to when his father was still alive.
“Don’t tell me you’re getting married, Kiriya-sama.” Kiriya’s face got bright red, he’s been eyeing a potential candidate, but he hasn’t acted upon his one-sided feelings yet.
“Nothing of the sort. My father, he left a letter for me, for this day if it was to ever come. In it he left a message for all of you, thought it would be appropriate to share it on this day.” the faces of the three of them fell, immediately sobering up.
“The letter addresses every pillar except Rengoku-san, not just you, I wanted to voice out his thoughts even if they aren’t here with us today, in his honor if you’ll let me.” the lack of arguments from the rest made him continue.
“Sanemi, my child. I hope you’ve found happiness in this awful world full of darkness. Your heart is the purest I’ve ever seen; you deserve nothing but love and a prosperous life. I entrust you the safety of my children, I know I can count on you for anything.” Sanemi was sobbing quietly, his wife gently rubbing his back as his knees got wet with the long rivers of frustration tears streaming down his face.
“Obanai, Mitsuri, pretty sure I’m late to the party, but hope you’ve found what you needed in one an another. Love has always been surrounding you, my children. Please don’t forget to share a bit of the love you have for each other with this beautiful world and its inhabitants.”
“Muichiro, your kind heart always reached those in need. I’m sure you continue filling the void left by demons in many. I know you’ll keep going with our mission regardless of what happens.” They were now all in tears, even Giyuu had a hard time keeping them hidden.
“Shinobu, our lovely little flower, your knowledge will be of great use to this world. Please continue to help those in need. You’ll always have a big place in our family’s heart, you can rely on my children when in need.”
“Tengen, your boisterous laugh and courage always brought smiles to my face. Even if you had to retire early, I will be forever in your debt, without you this beautiful family of strangers wouldn’t have been the same. As one of the eldest, please take care of your brothers and sisters pillars, they love you as much as I do. Never forget that, rely on them, they are your family now.” Tengen felt a hand on his back, Sanemi was giving him a harsh pat, reinforcing the words of his master, they would be there for him now, he could continue opening up to them, they’re a family, they have been for a while now and they would help each other out no matter what the struggle is.
“Gyomei, I hope you got to live something close to normalcy at least once by now. You deserve the world, your kindness and understanding for this universe are beyond any other, please don’t forget to take care of your health and much like Tengen, please be that older brother the rest of the children need.”
“Lastly Giyuu, my boy.” he stiffened, still with the baby in his arm. “I know you’ve always struggled with yourself; I know it’s been hard for you, and I gave you a terribly heavy load by making you a pillar. But please know I did it for your own good, your potential has no limits. Trust your brothers and sisters, rely on them. Love has many faces; you’ve been loved by many ever since you arrived in my care. Make sure to save space in your heart for all of those who’ve been with you all this time.” Tears dried out in his eyes even before falling, he could feel the love his master had for him, he could feel how his words were true, he could feel his brothers beside him, supporting him and his family. He could also feel the ones that left this world earlier, he could swear he could hear his fallen comrades sobbing at the words of their master, very much like the ones present in the room right now. But it could all be in his head.
Kiriya on the other hand, could see them.
He could see the fallen pillars holding the ones still alive in a warm embrace. Tears and smiles present in their faces.
He could also see his father, mother and sisters. All sharing a loving smile with his now adult son.
They’ve all been through a lot, but the roots of love are strong, deep and would keep growing over the years.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
It was now time to leave, Tengen and his family would go back to his home. It was close enough for them to walk there and he needed to think about many things.
Tenya had fallen asleep by now and was being carried by his father. Shingen was on his mother’s back telling her all about the games they played together and asking for permission to go on playdates with Sanehiko and Yuki during the summer months.
Sae had now been safely returned to her father’s arms, reluctantly. Her little hands kept stretching out to Giyuu, making his heart break in millions of pieces. Maybe Tengen was right, maybe it was time to give little Yuki a baby sibling.
Said child was now in Sanehiko’s arms, refusing to leave his newfound older brother. “Father, can we bring him home with us? Please…” not even his adorable puppy eyes could allow this request to be fulfilled. Sanemi was now on high guard as two of his children wanted to be abducted by the same family.
Yuki was quickly exchanged for Remi. She had also fallen asleep, on Tenya to be exact, and needed to be taken to their room for the night. Sanemi had baby Sae and his wife was carrying Senri, it was his duty to take care of his younger siblings and he was proud of it.
“You can come visit us whenever you want, Yuki-kun. Right father?” Sanemi wasn’t thrilled with the idea, but the words of Oyakata-sama lingered within the three of them. They must be united, they’re bothers now, they need to support each other’s family. Live for those who weren’t able to hear his last will.
“Yeah, you can kid. That goes for you too, Uzui. Seems like my daughter is sort of dating your kid, make sure to bring them often so they can play for a while.” Who would have thought Sanemi would be the reliable older brother type. He was to Genya and his siblings, but this was a new side of him for the former pillars.
“Yeah, see you around lads.”
“Let’s go to bed kids, it’s way past your bedtime.”
Giyuu was the only one who didn’t reply, but deep within he knew he would be visiting both of them more often from now on, honoring the will of their beloved master, savior, father, and be the family he wished for them to be until it was time for them to reunite in a different, less chaotic life.

happy birthday giyuu!!! have some angst, have some fluff!
link to ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/53172199/chapters/135767104
Giyuu readied his sword into a position he often found himself in.
From dawn until he had to return to patrol, Giyuu slaved away at becoming stronger. Faster. Better. Maybe then he would deserve his rank. Make Sabito’s sacrifice worth it.
With a huffing Breath, Giyuu focused on the bamboo stick in front of him. The servants in the Water Estate behind him had begun to start making breakfast, the family who’d tended to the grounds for generations chatting with each other as they went along their routine.
Sweat dripped down his brow as Giyuu’s calf muscle spasmed, the soles of his feet searing with pain. His eyes locked on, uncaring towards all the thinly sliced pieces scattered around the Water Estate's training grounds.
There was supposed to be nothing showing. His body, still as the surface of water. Everything invisible, though under the surface, a raging storm of currents would be about. His sword barely scratching the peace on the water, yet cutting down anything below the calm waves.
Total Concentration Breathing.
Water Breathing.
Eleventh Form.
Dead Calm.
Bring his katana around. Faster than Sabito's, back when they were young and naive towards the true cruelties of demons. Back when their biggest concerns were the callauses forming on their small hands and going to visit the seaside when they were older.
He was an ocean. That was what Urokodaki-san told him. Keep a calm impression, but below, the churning waters would not be able to be stopped, drowning anything he wanted and ripping it all apart viciously.
Deep Breaths, Giyuu reminded himself.
Why was it so hard to breathe?
His ears rang as stars danced behind his eyelids. Giyuu loosened his grip on his katana, the sword falling to the ground. He clutched at his chest through the fabrics of his kimono, mouth choking for air while his hands grasped at dirt.
Hm. His fingers felt tingly. Was that normal? Giyuu's head was spinning, a raggedy breath strung out from his lungs, quietly exhaled.
Something made it past his muffled hearing. Was it shouting? Giyuu couldn't hear himself think.
"He doesn't have a pulse!" Giyuu's eyes shut. Then, it felt like he was being crushed at the depths of the sea.
The Water Hashira's consciousness returned for a glimpse as his eyes peeped open. Shinazugawa sneered, looking down at Giyuu through long lashes. "Tch. Not so high and mighty anymore, huh Tomioka?"
"Mnnnf." Giyuu groaned, reaching out blindly and managing to grab the Wind Hashira's open uniform. With an almost stunned step, the man shook it off and continued his trek to the Butterfly Mansion.
The newest hashira had been passing near the Water Estate on his way to a long-term mission, when one of the servants had run to him sobbing that their master had died.
Quick inspection, however, found that Tomioka Giyuu actually had a heartbeat. A sluggish one, but enough so that Sanemi would pick up his colleague in a princess carry to transport to their organization's hospital.
Sanemi sighed, looking down at Tomioka's serene face. Damn, they were only seventeen.
Late afternoon sun shone to Giyuu's eyelids, making the Water Hashira wake.
Laying down, Giyuu slowly blinked his eyes as the sun cast right into them. Where was he? What just happened? When the Water Hashira gathered his thoughts, he immediately recognized the location.
The Butterfly Mansion.
Giyuu scrambled out of the uncomfortable bed, springs squeaking as his bare feet his the cold wood floors. Stumbling forwards, Giyuu caught himself on the wall and leaned heavily on it as his vision spun and blacked out and became too bright. With a small, shy groan, Giyuu clutched at his head.
Damn it. He messed up the Eleventh Form. The ringing in his ears subsided, yet the floor was still shaking as Giyuu unscrewed his facial expression.
He had to get out.
Giyuu’s fingers trembled as they struggled to open the window, gritting his teeth as he steadied his legs. Why wouldn’t the window open? It usually did, in the Butterfly Mansion.
“What’s going on?” Giyuu felt himself freeze as a boisterous voice echoed from the doorway. Slowly turning, the Sound Hashira leaned languidly against the frame, shock evident on his face. Footsteps came closer as Giyuu remained standing beside the window, caught in the act.
“Tomioka-san?” Kochou’s mouth dropped open. “Are you trying to leave through the window?”
“What the fuck.” Shinazugawa murmured, as Giyuu felt his face burn.
“This isn’t the first time.” Another huffy voice came from the hallway, making the hashira turn. There stood the Flower Hashira’s younger sister, Shinobu. She carried a load of laundry against her hip with her uniform sleeves rolled up. “He’s escaped his rooms as soon as he wakes up, what, five times? I just put him into this room where the windows don’t open.”
They turned back to Giyuu, who felt himself heat up even more. The hashira did not need to know that.
"Well then," Himejima huffed, "I suppose we must keep an eye on Tomioka."
"I mean, a window escapade? And multiple? Flamboyant!" Uzui made a gesture with his hand. "Didn't know that you had it in you, Tomioka!"
Giyuu opened and shut his mouth. What was he supposed to say? They would all make fun of him, for sure. A grown man trying to escape a hospital room via window? Pure comedy. Gods, Giyuu was so stupid.
Then, they'd all be looking after him as if he was just a small child. Something not to be trusted, something unreliable. That was what the Stone Hashira said. To keep him trapped inside white walls, keep his voice locked away.
Giyuu already did that to himself, though.
"Look, your heart basically stopped. Where the fuck did you think you were going?" Shinazugawa spat.
"It is very dangerous!" Kochou huffed and nodded in a serious facade, before switching right back into a nervous expression. "Stop standing, Tomioka-san, go back to bed!"
Before Giyuu could start to protest, Uzui had held him up underneath the arms while Himejima untucked the bed. The two huge hashira forced Giyuu right back under the covers.
"Here, my wives can make you a flashy meal!" Uzui ruffled Giyuu's hair, to which the Water Hashira flinched to. Uzui stopped, looking down towards his bedridden colleague.
"His head must be in terrible pain," Kochou explained, "when the heart stops, even for such a short amount of time, the head takes the worst impact."
"We must pray for your health, Tomioka." Himejima continued. "Who knows the reason your heart stopped in the first place."
Giyuu mumbled something. Shinazugawa snapped. "Oi, say it louder! Not everyone can read minds!"
"It was on purpose." Giyuu cleared his throat to get at least the Wind Hashira to hear. All the hashira slowly turned to look at their quieter coworker.
"...you can do it too?" Uzui's response made the other three only more horrified.
"The hell is wrong with you two freaks?!" Shinazugawa yelled.
"You can't be saying anything, marechi." Himejima replied.
"Neither can you, Himejima-san." Kochou said in a singsong voice, before directing her attention to the patient in bed. "Why would you try and stop your heart from beating?"
"Not stop it," Giyuu corrected, "slow it down."
Silence filled the room. Giyuu fidgeted with the edge of the blanket. All eyes were on him. Judging him.
"Why would you think to do that?" Himejima finally asked.
"Water Breathing," Giyuu answered, "I'm creating a new form."
"I thought that Water Breathing was the oldest style," Shinazugawa blinked, "Thunder and Wind following. Nobody's succeeded in making a whole new form to such an old technique."
"I know." Giyuu swallowed. How much more talking would he have to do? The sooner the hashira left, the quicker he would find his shoes and sneak out the door instead of the window.
"I think you shouldn't do it anymore." Kochou huffed. "Why would you even slow down your own heartrate for a form of Breathing Style?!"
They watched as the Flower Hashira left the room. Uzui turned back to the rest of them. "So, escaping through windows. You know how to pick locks?"
"No," Giyuu replied.
"Yes," Shinazugawa answered at the same time. They all looked at the newest hashira, who shot a dirty look before snapping his head away.
"How would you get out then, Tomioka?" Himejima wondered.
"I can force the window open." Giyuu microscopically shrugged. "I try not to damage it permanently, though."
Uzui cackled, patting Giyuu on the back with surprising gentleness, shooting a goofy grin at the seventeen year old. "Well, I'll be back with the trio and some good food! Don't force open the window just yet, Tomioka!"
Shinazugawa started rubbing his nape in an almost embarrassed manner. "I mean, this might not be much, but whenever one of my lil siblings or I would get sick, my mom used to make us some hachimitsu-lemon tea. No sneaking off just yet."
Giyuu blinked as the albino also left the room. He glanced over at the last hashira left in the room.
"I will be meditating here, Tomioka. Please stay put, we would not want to lose a valuable hashira such as yourself." Himejima sighed, lowering himself to the ground.
Giyuu flinched. Himejima didn't seem to know what he was saying. Maybe he said that to all the placeholder hashira, before they died. That made more sense.
Giyuu remained tense underneath the covers for another period of time, while the rest of the world moved around. What was he supposed to do? He was too afraid to move, with Himejima in the room. Kochou's fluttery voice could be heard outside, talking to Shinazugawa.
The door burst open. Himejima looked up from his praying while Giyuu jumped. In the doorway stood the Wind and Flower Hashira, both with cups in their hands.
"Here. Drink." Shinazugawa held out the steaming cup of tea to Giyuu, mouth twisted into a disgruntled grimace yet eyes watchjng caeefully to see how Giyuu reacted.
Reaching out, Giyuu remained mindful of the heat as he took a sip. After tasting it for a second and swallowing, Giyuu looked back to the new hashira.
"Did you just squeeze the lemon?" Giyuu asked. "It's very refreshing."
"They had some in the kitchen, so..." Shinazugawa shrugged nonchalantly. "You'd better get better soon, I'm not covering your patrol area!"
Giyuu glanced back down at the mug of tea. "Of course, Shinazugawa."
"Hmph!" Shinazugawa rolled his eyes, plopping down onto the bed. Giyuu's eyes widened a fraction before shuffling over to make room for the Wind Hashira.
"Now, my turn." Kochou looked at Giyuu sympathetically. "I'm sorry, I don't have something as good as Shinazugawa-san."
Looking into it, Giyuu was met with a putrid scent and murky waters. Medication. Placing Shinazugawa's cup on the side table, Giyuu took the medicine and downed it in one gulp. He quickly went back for the tea to rinse it out.
"The life of this band of hashiras has returned!" Giyuu flinched as the four Uzui's entered, loud and cheerful. Shinazugawa hissed as Uzui flicked his forehead, and the three women instantly went to coddling the bedridden one or chatting with Kochou.
"Here, eat this!" One of the wives, Giyuu thought it would be Suma or the one with the longer name, offered a riceball. "It's plain! Good for your stomach, light but nutritional!"
"Suma, he almost died!" The one Giyuu definitely recognized as Makio slapped Suma's head. "Give him some damn space!"
Giyuu couldn't manage to get a word in. Uzui shouted over his two bickering wives as he collapsed to the ground next to Giyuu's bed, resting his head near Giyuu's knees. "Girls, calm it! He has a headache."
"Don't forget brain damage." Shinobu added from the doorway before sauntering off.
"Anyways," Kochou brought back attention to herself, the doctor in the room. "I'd like to watch over you for a week or so at the bare minimum, and for you to not use that new form ever again!"
Giyuu couldn't answer the woman. He needed Dead Calm. A tribute to Sabito, blocking any attack coming from ang direction without even seeming so. Looking at Kochou's worried expression, a similar person came to mind.
Tsutako-nee always gave that kind of sad look to their parents, when they'd become so bedridden that they couldn't raise their heads. Kaa-san wouldn't be able to drink water and tou-san's horrid breathing would haunt their small house until the man died some months later.
Giyuu had nightmares about that. He never wanted to become like that.
"He usually escapes within the first hour of waking up," Shinobu told her sister, "he's stayed here, dully concious, for four hours."
"We could have an affect in him!" Kanae gasped. "He enjoys our company so much that he's willing to stay!"
"Or it's too awkward for him to leave." Shinobu pointed out. "And crowded, too. Did all five of them fall asleep on him? He might be a hashira, but nobody can get out of that unnoticed."
"Well, it's very sweet." Kanae sniffed. "We might finally get him to open up. Tomioka-san's been very reclusive when it comes to his fellow hashira."
Back in the room, Giyuu felt his eyes droop closed.
its still 11:40pm where i am!!! its still his day!! i will try to write the rest of the oneshots counting down, ive had a very busy two weeks

Its the windmill's birthday!
Sanemi like to think of himself as a calm stable individual
He likes to think of himself as a level headed person, a person who wouldn't dare lift a single finger on a person.
So as any calm, sane, stable, and level headed person would do, he was keeping himself from wrapping his hands around the water pillar and choking the everliving life out of those blue eyes.
"Fuckin hell, is there anybody else here? I would take the fucking seaweed head then to be in the same room as mister 'I'm not like the rest of you'"
Now, any sane person would know not to reply to Sanemi since he looked as if he was about to commit murder at any moment but Tomioka Giyuu was everything but sane.
"Hello Shinazugawa, do you know what the date is?"
To be honest, Sanemi couldn't have given a single flying fuck about the date. To him everyday was the same. Clean up from the night before, help Shinobu out in the mansion, Complain to Iguro about some slayers, check on Genya, get assigned a mission, kill demon. and repeat.
He was on the way to check on Genya the stone mansion when an emergency hashira meeting was called thus landing him here, in the same room alone with mismatched haori.
It's safe to assume that Sanemi was pissed.
"Why the fuck would I know the date? And where the fuck are all the others? Himejima-san wouldn't dare being late to a hashira meeting"
"..."
"Well don't just be a stand alone silent bitch, say something!"
"You really don't know the date?"
Huh?
Okay what was so important about the date that Tomioka fucking Giyuu, the guy that didn't give a shit about time, to be so persistant for him to know the date?
Well, Sanemi knew around 4 days ago it was the 25th. So if he were to add 4 days to 25 he would get
"The 29th of November. There, happy now?"
"...Thats it?"
If Sanemi was pissed before (which he was) he was a boiling over volcano now.
"Yes thats it. What else do you want me to say edge lord? A couple days after that one American holiday?"
"Wow, didn't peg you to be the forgetful type Sanemi, thought that was Tokito's job."
"Fuck you, my memory is just fine!"
"Tokito refrain from cursing. Obanai stop picking fights with little kids. Sanemi are you really that stupid?"
"Fuck you Shinobu, i'm not stupid"
"Shinazugawa I will kindly ask you to refrain from cursing. We have a child here"
"Himejima-san, that 'child' just cursed out Obanai"
"Ara Ara Tomioka-san! You should speak up a bit more frequently, other people didn't even notice you!"
"e-eh, Tokito-kun, Shinazugawa-san, we shouldn't curse each other out!"
"I agree with Kanroji"
"Aren't you in lo-"
"Shut it Tokito"
Sanemi snorted, happy that he wasn't stuck with depressed emo nerd, but it wasn't long until Obanai's words caught up to him.
"Iguro what did you mean by me being forgetful? I don't think anything important is happening today"
"HAAAH? YOU FORGOT!?"
"Mitsuri if you could lower your voice"
"Right, sorry Shinobu. You forgot!?"
Now Sanemi wasn't angry, he was just confused.
"Alright, first Tomioka drilling me about the date, second Shinobu calling me an idiot and third you telling me I forgot about something? Okay if I forgot about something what did I forget about?"
"Your birthday silly!"
Oh. Oh. OHHHHH.
Oh shit
Thats what he forgot about.
So what, he's 22 now.
He never really celebrated his birthday, too focused on surviving in the hellhole he was supposed to call home. After his father sperm donor was killed, he kind of forgot his birthday existed.
"Wait- how did you guys know it was my birthday?"
"Thats for us to know"
"Iguro you little shit-"
Sanemi sighed and flushed a little red, embarrassed that he forgot, and came face to face with Tomioka the mother fucking Giyuu. Wayyy to close.
If Sanemi was a bit pink then he was a fucking tomato now. One thing he noticed was that Giyuu was holding an ohagi.
"Here, happy birthday"
Sanemi snatched the ohagi from Giyuu's hands and took a bite. It melted right on his tongue and hit the spot. It was the perfect amount of quantity, quality, and sweetness.
"I hope you like it. Genya told me how you like and how to make it. He's a sweet person, your brother. He's also adorable when he focuses. Hope you enjoy it 'Nemi'"
Sanemi likes to consider himself as a very nice person.
So as any calm, sane, stable, level headed person would do, he lunged for Tomioka's throat and proceeded to strangle the everliving shit out of the water hashira.
"STAY AWAY FROM MY FUCKING BROTHER!"
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHINAZUGAWA SANEMI!!!!!!!!!!!
Sanemi is my favorite hashira by far. He is also one of the most complicated character I have ever seen. Happy birthday you emotionally constipated white-haired menace!

I miss Tomioka-san 🥲
So then, I'll write a one-shot with him. I want it to be set up after their war with Muzan. Yes, Tomioka is dying due to the awakening of his demon slayer mark but then, he finds you, and for some reason, you reminded him of the late Shinobu Kocho.
And yes, this will be GN!Reader
Prompt: "If you act like that, no one will really like you."

"If you act like that, no one will really like you." The words he had just heard rendered Tomioka speechless. This person... They definitely reminded him of one of the best hashiras he has ever known. Shinobu Kocho.
Tomioka turned to look in your direction with wide eyes. It's his last year, and he's thinking that perhaps he was just hallucinating.
You know that the man who was in front of you was the former Water Hashira. Back then, when you were still a kakushi, you were the one who held his sword for him at Hashira meetings.
You had always been watching him, admiring the Water Hashira from afar.
You had always adored the man, as even if he wouldn't know, he had saved you once from a demon back when you were still younger. However, you noticed how he stood out from the other Hashiras, as he was cold and distant, worse even than Obanai Iguro's frigid attitude.
Tomioka seemed to be detached, and you always wondered why. But of course, that never stopped you from adoring the man.
The great war came, and you thought that he had perished with the other pillars; however, he was there. He survived, and the rest is history.
But yes, even though he had survived, he had unlocked the demon slayer mark. It had worked to their advantage in the fight, but in return, he wouldn't be able to surpass his 25th birthday. And that terribly hurt you. Even if you knew your emotions wouldn't matter to the Hashira, you still cared.
When Tomioka needed assistance, as a former kakushi, you volunteered yourself to work for him. Well, your job isn't as hard as before, as all you need to do is make sure that Tomioka is alright.
And for some reason, there and then, you formed a bond with the man. Giyu Tomioka's nice, but despite this, he's still detached. The only times you'll see him happy are when his friends visit him. Even Sanemi's visits make his eyes light up a bit.
You wish you could do that. You always did.
But of course, there are times when his attitude changes. Perhaps because of the pain and nightmares. He sometimes felt like he was worthless, especially after losing one of his arms. You would sometimes find him inside his room, just staring at his haori, perhaps wishing he could wear it again and do all the things that he had missed.
And those times, he would close the doors in his heart. He'll avoid everything, and his care for the world will fade. You can't help but watch him at those times, not out of pity but out of care. All you wanted to do was help him.
But today is a different story. The Water Hashira's temper had been bad all day. You can talk with Giyu now because of the bond that you have forged. But that isn't enough. And perhaps you still don't matter that much.
That hurts.
You had prepared tea for Tomioka, mixing it with some painkillers to soothe his aching body. And yet, for the first time in your service on him, you saw how he lost that calmness. He kicked the teacup and pushed away the tray, making every ounce of your effort go to waste.
Yes, you had feelings for the man; that's why you devoted yourself to him, but what he did now is too much.
"If you act like that, no one will really like you." You blurted it out, not caring about keeping yourself together as you picked up his mess. That's it; if ever he kicks you out of his house, you'll just accept it. You did your best to help Tomioka for almost four years, but perhaps that wasn't enough.
Tomioka's voice flooded your ears and heart out of nowhere, and the heaviness of his sorrow coloured every syllable.
"Shinobu Kocho had always told me almost the same words."
You were left astounded, and all you did was look back at the Water Hashira, who is now crouching down, picking up some of the broken pieces that came from the teacup that he just kicked.
"Tomioka-san. Let me—"
"I'm a jerk, aren't I?"
"Tomioka-san, I didn't mean to—"
The next words that came from his mouth caught you off guard. Tears welled up in the corners of your eyes as you stared at his blue orbs, wishing that you would just drown in them.
"Y/N, I've always been watching you, and I appreciate everything that you did for me, even back when I was the Water Hashira..."
So does that mean that...
"Yes, I know the kakushi who has always volunteered themselves to help me with my sword or assist me even if I radiated an unwelcoming aura, was you. You had always been there for me, and I see it all."
Once more, Tomioka managed to catch the tray just as you were about to drop it. A small, sad smile crept up his lips as he looked back at your surprised expression. He is wishing that he could wipe your tears away, but he knows that he couldn't.
"And I know that I saved your life back then. Y/N, you don't need to deal with my mess if you want to pay back."
"Tomioka-san, it's not like that. I'm here because I chose to."
"But you'll just see how miserable I am now. I'm not the Water Hashira that you have known before, Y/N."
"And I don't care about that."
You said, snatching the tray from his hand. Wiping your tears, you stood up and offered your right arm for him to hold.
Tomioka wrapped his arms around yours and managed to stand up. He was looking at you intensely, waiting for your next words because, deep inside him, he doesn't want you to leave as well.
He had watched the people around him come and go, and what was worse was watching their deaths. Shinobu's death really took a toll on him, as she was the only Hashira who tried her best to bring the best out of him despite his closed doors. And he knows that Shinobu, his friend, would never want him to be sad.
Shinobu wants to bring the best out of him, right? And what you've been doing since day one has reminded him of that faint memory.
The Water Hashira's hand was still wrapped against yours, and you couldn't help but feel that your heart was beating too fast. You looked down at your feet, gathering the strength to speak up once again.
"Tomioka-san, I want to devote my life to you."
"You're insane. You know that in just a few months I'll perish—"
"And I don't care about that." You repeated your words earlier, which made Tomioka lose the strength to hold on to you. "Why?" He asked, biting his lower lip in confusion.
You stared into his eyes and finally spoke the words that you had always wanted to tell him. "Because I've always loved you. I always will, even if you leave me soon. I'd rather give myself to you while you're here than regret everything because I didn't do anything before losing you."
Tomioka suddenly had an urge to embrace you. He pulled you into his arm, and you buried your face on his chest, inhaling his tranquil scent.
"But... what if this is the last time Y/N?"
"Then I'll do everything for you now. Heck, I'd even give you my life if I only could."
A faint chuckle escaped from his chapped lips. Wondering why, you pulled out and noticed how pale the Water Hashira already is. You wanted to just kiss him there and there, wishing that it would take all the pain away, but you couldn't.
"Why are you laughing?" You asked, even if you find his laughter soothing. You always wanted to hear this. He looked at you, and his blue orbs scintillated like never before. That made your world stop.
He's beautiful.
Tomioka suddenly patted your head and pinched your cheek, making you blush. "What are you doing?" You asked. But Tomioka suddenly planted a surprise kiss on your forehead, which froze you for a moment.
He didn't let you speak, as he had already said, "You're definitely too flushed right now to be the person who told me no one would like me if I continued this way."
"I'm sorry..."
"No, I'm sorry for being a jerk. You're right. Shinobu's also right. I don't know, but you two seemed to know me better than myself. And... if my friend is still alive, she would thank you for staying with me despite being a pain."
"I told you, you're not a pain. Tomioka-san, there's still time. It's not too late to be happy. I want you to be happy."
You finally had the courage to initiate the kiss that you have always dreamed of. It wasn't like watching fireworks like you had imagined; instead, it felt peaceful, both of your hearts beating in symphony as your lips moved with his.
As you pulled out, drunk with passion, you were met with the softest smile Tomioka had ever given you. He caressed your cheek and spoke up.
"If this is the last time, I want to spend it with you, Y/N."

shinobu (x giyuu) oneshot
happy birthday butterfly queen! <3
Tumblr media
He felt empty inside. Like always.
"Oi! Watch where you're going!"
He looked down to see a short girl with side bangs (obviously self-cut) dyed at the tips with purple and an annoyed grimace on her face. Ah. He had bumped into someone.
"Gomen," he muttered, not unkindly.
"Say it like you mean it!"
His patience wore thin and he met her eyes, which were strangely absent of pupils, a gradient lavender filling her irises.
"I-"
His head pounded with memories that were blurry but large, of a time where demons were not fairytales and when he wasn't....him.
-----------------
"Tomioka! Hurry up!"
He looked up as she ran across the field, a light dress flowing around her knees that fluttered in the wind, giving her wings that made her look like she was flying away.
"Wait, then."
Giyuu paused, feeling the tickle of stalks of flowers around his ankles.
"Also, you've had too much sake."
His lover laughed, the moonlight shining on the corner of her face, a pale cream butterfly resting on her slim finger.
"Who cares? This is my 18th birthday!"
She clasped her hands behinds her back and tipped her head back.
"The moon is beautiful tonight, isn't it, Tomioka-san?"
"Yes."
A light breeze came over the air and he saw her small shoulders quiver slightly in the distance. Faking an irritated sigh, he took off his patterned haori and draped it over her, buttoning the top up.
"Don't catch a cold today."
She laughed quietly, the sound carrying over the field and turned around to face him, burying her face into his chest. So warm, she thought. Can we stay like this forever?
Giyuu hesitated for a second, before returning the gesture, enveloping her into his embrace.
"Happy 18th."
He was sure she hadn't heard him.
-----------------
"Giyuu?"
He shifted and looked down at her, resting in his arms.
"Hm-?"
"The battle's coming up soon. I can feel it."
A silent sense of dread settled over the room and in his stomach.
"Ah."
"Will we survive?"
He laced his fingers through hers.
"Don't talk like that."
She huffed lightly.
"Well, I'm sorry for caring."
He took a deep breath, letting the soft scent of white musk and wisteria that always followed her waft over him, calming the jittering nerves.
"We'll live, not just survive. I'm sure of it."
"And then what?"
"And then we'll step down from our positions. Get married. Have a peaceful life with the rest of the demon slayers."
A short pause.
"Will you stay?"
Tomioka leaned down and brushed his lips over the surface of her hand, hands that had slayed so many demons but were still ever so small and innocent.
"Yes."
-----------------
He ran through the hallway, Tanjiro at his heels. A brush of feathers rushed past him.
"Cawww! Dead!! Kochou Shinobu is dead!! She died after a confrontation with upper moon two!!"
The words whizzed around in his brain, and he tried to make sense of them. Please, Giyuu thought. Please don't let it be her. He looked back at Tanjiro, whose warm red eyes were widened and brimming with tears. He could feel his stomach plummet right down to the ground.
-----------------
"Where is her body?"
The words sounded bitter and dry as they came out of his mouth and into the space between him and Kanao. A despairing silence filled the void until Inosuke came up behind him.
"Douma absorbed her into him."
But if Douma was dead, slayed by Kanao and Inosuke, then....
No. Why was the world so cruel that he couldn't even say a proper goodbye to his lover?
-----------------
He shook his head slightly and exchanged a hand forward.
"Sorry."
"Hmph!"
She crossed her arms, and he spotted a familiar butterfly pin in her hair- where had he seen it before?
"Then, you can make up for it by buying me an iced coffee," she said, gesturing to the cafe down the street. Before Giyuu could reply, she smiled.
"My name's Shinobu Kocho, by the way."

Obanai with a female tsuguko who's somewhat the complete opposite of him? Like she's sweet, gentle and soft-spoken. She's also clearly his favorite 😂😂😁 I live for the trope where the guy gets melted into a puddle of love by this cute and sweet girl 😍😍😍
Iguro Obanai X Tsuguko Fem! Reader Headcanons
⇢ A/N: Okay but kny new manga chapter made me (༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ), my boy Iguro I’m so-
Type: headcanons (I’m planning to write a one shot of this)
Genre: Fluff
Tumblr media
It was a surprise, specially for the three new boys finding out that the sweet (y/n) was Iguro’s Tsuguko, specially for Tanjirou since he and the pillar first encounter was awful.
(y/n) liked to be helpful and caring with the others, she even helped attending to Inosuke’s recovery, the girl always had a smile on her face and talked with a sweet soft voice.
The three boys had a soft spot on the girl, and they start wondering how someone soft and delicate like her could be the successor of someone like Iguro.
But they didn’t knew that Iguro’s heart was full with (y/n), since the first time they meet with her “please be my master”.
All he could said was “ok”, he was stunned with the girl’s beauty, and his heart finally melt when she wildly smiled and got closer to hold his hands “thank you so much Iguro-San!”
Iguro is always a blushing mess when he is around (y/n), the girl always looked at him with her bright eyes and smiled at him.
Or when she is with other people and sees him far away, she smile and wave at him.
Even Kaburamaru loved her, the snake like to roll up on her like it do in Iguro’s body.
He saw how the girl struggle with her hair, since she liked to have It loose, so Iguro bought her a brooch for her hair.
When he gave it to her he didn’t imagine how she was going to react, or what was going to happen.
Their first hug happened that time.
Iguro thought he was going to pass away.
And then (y/n) said to him “can you put it on my hair” while she was still hugging him.
His hands were shaking but he did what the girl said, they both were really happy, (y/n) liked the present and Iguro couldn’t be happier to watch the girl’s beautiful smile.
Since the first hug she keep doing it, to great him, to congratulate him or simply when they chat.
In one of the reunions that the pillars had Sanemi’s told Iguro how soft he was with (y/n)
“You are too soft with that girl, you need to take your job seriously”
“I don’t need to be soft, she is the best Tsuguko over here”
Their first kiss...
Firstly the kiss was a mistake, (y/n) was going to give Iguro a kiss on the cheek, he gave (y/n) a bouquet of flowers for her birthday, her original plan was ruined, he moved his head and they kiss through the mask.
He's never seen her blush like that before, her cheeks were dark pink and her eyes were teary, she was apologizing and her words were difficult to understand for all the shuttering.
“I-I-I’m ssssso so sowy- sorry! P-plewse d-don’t ha-ate me”
How to hate her?, impossible, he could never hate his angel.
That was the beginning for multiple kisses.
(y/n) lips were soft against his cheeks, forehead, chin.
She also had kiss Kaburamaru’s head.
(y/n) even saw his face without the mask.
“Iguro-San is still really pretty at my eyes!”
“Didn’t you mean to say handsome?”
“Nop, pretty!”
When he told (y/n) the feelings he had for her, he firstly apologize for not being enough for her, “nonsense” she told him, “Obanai-kun has helped me to be stronger, that means he is strong, he helped me to be brave because he is brave, I’m still learning things about you, and I wish with me you could learn to love you like I do and that you are the most amazing person ever”
(y/n) saying she loves him gave him tons of happiness, his insecurities made him believe that despite all the contact that they had, (y/n) was going to reject him, but she was truly an angelic being.
They were so in love, he could die for her, and even he doesn’t know, she could die for him too.
She was the fluffy ball full of love in their relationship, he was a guard of hers, he wanted her to stay healthy, safe and happy, even he was a little bit intense with some situations, like jealously.
Obanai is a jealous guy, one time (y/n) to fall but Tomioka caught her on time, by grabbing her waist.
“Are you okay?”
“Yes, thank you so much Giyuu-San!”
A bad energy flooded the place.
“Get your nasty hands out of (y/n) body, disgusting bastard”
Saying goodbye to each other’s involved being lovey-dovey.
“Iguro-San I’m going to a mission with Zenitsu-kun”
Then he kissed her on the forehead “stay safe, come back soon, angel”
Zenitsu thought “Life is so unfair”

Well, today, February 8, is the birthday of our beloved Water Hashira, Giyuu Tomioka. So, to celebrate, a dose of love and smiles for this emo that everyone loves and deserves love.
Warning: This fanfic contains tickles. Also remind them that I don't speak English, so if they find any errors, let me know to correct it. I hope you like it!
Summary: Shinobu plans a surprise party for Giyuu along with the other pillars, but he doesn't plan to celebrate. Will Shinobu manage to convince him?
Ler: Kocho Shinobu
Lee: Tomioka Giyuu
(Part 1 - Part 2 in process)
'A SURPRISE PARTY?!', Mitsuri exclaimed before putting her hands to her mouth to keep from screaming again. 'Yes, tomorrow is Tomioka-San's birthday and I want to surprise him, do you have any plans for tomorrow? It would help me a lot to have someone else helping me' 'The truth is that I was planning to train tomorrow, so-', Obanai could not finish his sentence due to the enthusiasm of Love Hashira, who said that she would gladly help and attend the party. 'I'll make a little space to help Mitsuri and at the party'
'I'll help too, that party will need a touch of extravagance', 'I'll support too! It will be a lot of fun!' Uzui and Rengoku agreed to help, calming down and making Shinobu smile, who turned his gaze to those who still hadn't said anything. 'Who is Tomioka? Muichiro's question made Sanemi snort
'It's the Water Hashira. Tokito, you've been talking to him a lot lately, remember?', Gyomei replied calmly to the boy's doubt. 'Oh, my brother... I must have forgotten his birthday, but if I'm going, I'll bring some balloons,' he smiled. 'I'll go too Kocho, that's a nice gesture from you to Tomioka. And you Sanemi? Will you attend?', Gyomei touched the head of the aforementioned, he stayed muttering for a few minutes. 'Ok, I'll go, but just this once', he crossed his arms and turned his head
'Then it's done! Let's give Tomioka a good dose of joy!' Mitsuri exclaimed excitedly. Each Hashira gave a contribution: Shinobu his estate, Mitsuri, Obanai and Sanemi the food, Gyomei and Muichiro the balloons and gifts and Uzui and Rengoku would help decorate.
The next morning. The Hashiras went to work, trying to keep Tomioka from realizing what they were doing. Kagaya/O.S also agreed to help them, entertaining Giyuu and treating him to lunch. 'Shinobu-san! We're here!!', Shinobu turned his head to find Mitsuri, Obanai and Sanemi with various food packages on their shoulders and hands. 'Oh, what a joy to see you! They came very early!', she approached and took some packages and entered the room where Rengoku and Uzui were decorating while Gyomei and Muichiro inflated the balloons. 'What did I tell you? This party already has an extravagant touch. Himejima, Tokito, very nice choice of colors', Uzui patted the shoulders of both hashiras. 'Thank you, Tokito chose the colors. I'm glad you liked it, well let's continue with this. Shinobu, what time will Giyuu arrive?', the gazes turned to her. She thought for a moment, she didn't know what to answer 'When I told Oyakata-Sama about this, he told me that he would invite him to lunch. Maybe I'm on your estate, do you need help before I leave?', she looked at his companions, they told him not to worry, they could finish on time. Shinobu wished them luck and said goodbye, the first place he went to was the Oyakata-Sama farm, but he was no longer there, he had left a few minutes ago. 'Oh, Shinobu-San!', she recognized the voice and turned, Tanjiro was in front of her. 'Hi Kamado-Kun, how have you been? Oh yeah, one question, have you seen or talked to Tomioka-San today?', Tanjiro denied, he had been with Inosuke and Zenitsu almost all day before separating and walking alone for a while. 'No, I'm sorry, has something happened to him?' 'Oh no no, don't worry. Today is his birthday and we are planning a party for him, but it wouldn't be a party if he wasn't there'
'EHH?! It's his birthday?! I didn't know!' Tanjiro felt embarrassed, which made Shinobu laugh. 'Don't worry, if you see him tell him to please go to my farm', after that, they said goodbye and she kept looking. Almost 1 hour had passed, but he had not been successful, he was about to give up until he found him about to enter his farm.
'Tomioka-San!', Shinobu exclaimed and ran towards him. He tried to take him to his estate, but he couldn't, Tomioka kept insisting that he was fine. Shinobu knew exactly what to do to convince him, he asked him for a glass of water and they both entered the estate, they talked for a while until Shinobu ran his finger along Tomioka's ribs making him snort.
'Kocho, no,' Tomioka moved away from her a bit, but was quicker and moved closer and straddled him hips. 'Kocho, yes', she laughed and with her index finger began to gently go up and down his ribs. 'Ko-kocho please n-no!', he put his hands to his mouth to avoid laughing and please his friend, but he wouldn't give up so easily, she already knew the way to make him laugh. 'Oh come on Tomioka-san! You don't have to be ashamed, we're friends!', her fingers started to move like spider legs up and down, the touch although it was very soft was driving Tomioka crazy, he was trying with all his might not to laugh.' Stahap! Ple-please!', Shinobu looked at the clock and knew that she had to hurry up, she gave him the last chance to accompany her, but he still didn't give in. 'Oh well Tomioka, you know what will happen next', his fingers now began to squeeze his ribs, getting between the gaps in each rib and staying in a place that saw his laughter grow. 'GYAHAHAHAHAHA!! STAHAHAHAP!!! NO NO NO NO!!! SHIHIHINOBU PLEHEHEHEHAHAHAHSE!!! I CAN'T!!', he began to kick the floor hard and try everything to get those sensations away from his body. 'No~ come on Tomioka, you're a hashira~ is it that bad?~', Shinobu sneered at his friend's futile escape attempts 'Besides, I know you like being tickled~'.
'WAHAHIT!! YOHOHU!! WAHAHAHA!! NOT THERE NOT THEHEHERE!!!', he felt the tears touching the corners of his eyes, while his cheeks burned from the enormous blush. 'Tomioka-San, since today is a special day, I wrote a song for you~ it's called Happy Birthday Tomioka-San~', she began to use Giyuu's ribcage as if it were a piano as she hummed the song. 'HAHAHAHAHA!!! OK OK!! *snort* I'LL GO WITH YOU!!! *screech* BUHUHUT PLEHEHAHAHASE STAHAHAHAP!! *hic* I CAHAHAHAN'T!! *snort* I BEHEHEHEG YOU!!', she didn't trust her partner's words, but finally let him go as she saw some tears spilling out. She got off him and sat next to him, laughing as he snuggled in trying to get his oxygen back. 'Thahahat was so mehehehan', after a few minutes they both got out and headed to the party venue.
'Kocho, why are there screams?', Tomioka looked at her confused, to which she shrugged and they continued walking. When he opened the door a big 'SURPRISE' and confetti were waiting for him, he saw his colleagues and friends gathered to wish them a happy birthday. Some approached to hug him and give him his gift, Shinobu whispered 'Happy birthday, Tomioka-San' before walking away.

Moment’s Silence
Modern AU Rengoku Kyoujurou x F!Reader
It’s Kyoujurou’s birthday!! Since this special date also coincides with another big event this year, I had an idea to merge the two. I hope you enjoy!
SFW+NSFW
2.2k words

"Good work today!" You snatch your handbag, greeting Uzui-san on the way out. Glancing at your wristwatch, you quicken your pace a little.
5.48pm…
You have to pick up Rika from daycare, secure a cake and prepare dinner within 2 hours in order for your schedule to work out. If you were lucky, Kyoujurou would be tied up with club activities, giving you an extra 30 minutes…
"Mommy!" You spot the familiar puff of yellow and red making its way to you. Bending over to press a big kiss to her cheek, you haul her into your arms and make a mad dash towards the shopping district.
"Did you prepare what I asked you to?" Rika nods, pointing to her tiny backpack. "Good girl!"
"Mommy, there's a big crowd." She gasps a little, pointing a chubby finger towards the mass of bodies clustered in front of the bakery.
"Tanjiro-kun!" You yell over a couple huddled in front of the bakery's glass display, hoping that he heard you. Within a few seconds, your red-headed student peers out from within the ornate doors and flashes you a smile.
"Sensei! Here's your cake." A neatly wrapped box with a silky red ribbon in a bag is placed into your hands, and he bows. "Thank you very much! Happy m-"
"Thank you, I'll see you in school."
Rika waves to him over your shoulder as you turn on your heel. The sun's setting already, street lights flickering on as you finally make your way back to your apartment.
Heaving a sigh of relief, you jam the elevator button and finally have a moment to take a breath.
"Mommy, I could have walked." Rika frowns, her eyebrows- shaped much like her father's- furrow. You chuckle, nuzzling your daughter's hair.
"It's alright. You're not too heavy, anyway-" Just before the elevator doors can slide close, a hand jams itself into the tiny gap, scaring the life out of you.
"I'm sorry!" To your surprise, Kyoujurou steps in. Your husband stares at you for a few stunned seconds until Rika squirms around with delight.
"Daddy!" You hand her over to Kyoujurou, but not before he's able to lean in for a quick peck on the lips as a greeting.
"Rika! I've missed you~" He blows raspberries into her neck, earning ecstatic giggles that ring through the enclosed space.
"I thought you had club duties?"
"Hm? Oh, I exchanged shifts with Tomioka." He extends an arm to grab the paper bag before halting.
The two of you are holding paper bags, identical paper bags. From the Kamado Family bakery.
"Kyou, did you buy a cake for your own birthday? You should have known I would get one for you!" The lift doors jerk open, and the three of you cross the threshold into your house.
"It's not that, my love…" Kyoujurou murmurs, setting Rika down and ruffling her hair. "Did you forget? It's Mother's Day too."
Oh. Oh. Now that explained the crowd at the bakery today. You sigh, setting down the keys and your handbag.
"Now, I know what you're thinking." Swivelling around, Kyoujurou and Rika are standing side by side with their arms crossed over their chests, mischievous smiles on their faces. As much as the sight sends pangs through your heart, you will not be swayed. "You cannot split one entire cake between two people."
Simultaneously, the both of them groan. You leave them to their machinations to get dinner started.
Cooking in the Rengoku household is a thrill. Over the years, Kyoujurou has managed to participate in the kitchen without causing mass destruction, and sweet little Rika sits on the countertop, cheering the both of you on.
After getting Rika washed up and changed, Kyoujurou peeks over your shoulder while you're peeling the sweet potatoes. Today, you'll be making an indulgent version of Kyou's favourite dish- sweet potato rice.
You allow him to take over chopping them, and you turn your attention to preparing the rest of the ingredients. The two of you work like a well-oiled machine. Once you've sliced the cabbage and scallions, Kyoujurou has the sweet potatoes in the oven. You warm up the leftover white rice from yesterday in the rice cooker, along with the soft-boiled eggs.
"Rika, help me set up the table please?" Kyoujurou handles the plates, and Rika sets the cutlery down. Two blue and red bamboo chopsticks for you and Kyoujurou, with a smaller pair of training chopsticks for herself.
The soft ping of the oven has you up and scooping the rice into bowls, while Kyou retrieves the ingredients from the counter.
"Can I help?" You hand her the furikake shaker, which she accepts with glee, sprinkling the sesame seeds and seaweed over the rice.
You watch, content, as they wolf down the meal, rice grains sticking to their cheeks. Rika definitely took after her father more.
"You may each have one slice, as a treat." You slide the cake from its white box onto the middle of the table, lighting a candle and placing it amidst the dainty curls of white cream. After singing happy birthday and taking an ample number of pictures, the three of you settle into easy conversation over dessert, until Rika sits up, remembering something.
"Happy birthday, Daddy!" She pulls a card from her bag, sliding it across the table towards Kyoujurou. He's beaming, holding the crayon drawing delicately. You giggle when you spot tears in the corners of his eyes, threatening to spill.
"Thank you, Rika!"
"Wait, Mommy, I have something for you."
A pink carnation, layers of petals made of pink, frilly paper and a stem of wire wrapped in green tape. It's a little rough around the edges, but you can tell it was made with love. God, now you feel like a fool for making fun of Kyoujurou's tears.
"C'mon, my girl. Let's wash up the dishes. You'll be on towel duty!" Rika salutes, and they march off to the kitchen.
You resolve to having to change Rika's clothing again, as her father flicks soap bubbles onto her and she retaliates by using a spoon to divert the water from the faucet onto his shirt. Smart girl.
---
An hour of cartoons later, Rika is snoozing on Kyou's lap. You stick Kyoujurou's gift to the fridge with magnets, and place your carnation into a small glass bottle on top of your vanity.
"My daughter is the cutest thing in the entire world." Kyoujurou coos, tucking her under plush covers. As quietly as possible, you close the door behind you.
"Let's go take a shower." Kyoujurou whispers, and you arch an eyebrow.
"What if she wakes up?"
"If she's guaranteed to inherit one thing from me, it would be how I sleep like a log." He chuckles. As if to prove his point, you hear cute little snores from her room. "See?"
Hurrying into the bathroom, you feel like a hormonal teenager all over again. When was the last time the two of you had sex? Kyoujurou is by no means neglectful, but working as a teacher is hard. Pent-up stress and tension has built up in your body, and you're aching for a release.
As Kyoujurou strips, you admire his broad back, well-toned with defined muscle, and the shallow divot that runs down to his tailbone. Warmth worms your way into your core, awakening a tingle within you.
He must have felt the weight of your gaze on him, as he turns around and spots you staring. He huffs and grins, the barest hint of a blush blooming on his cheeks.
Your shower is barely large enough to accommodate two, but thankfully, Kyoujurou enjoys the same temperature as you. The hot water beats down on your back, and you can’t help but moan as the heat works its way into your aching muscles.
“Massage my back?” Kyoujurou asks, turning to the showerhead to rinse the soap from his hair. You gladly do so, running your hands up his slippery skin, feeling a shiver roll down his spine. Digging your thumbs into the base of his neck and rubbing circles until you feel the tension dissipate from his shoulders allows you to marvel at his physique. Every shift of his body grants you a ripple of tough muscle to gawk at. After taking your time on his lats, you slide your hands lower. Just the slightest pressure from your fingers makes Kyoujurou arch his back. He hums, turning to capture your lips in a deep kiss.
“Thank you, my love.” His eyes have a hint of hunger in them, and you can feel heat that isn’t from the steam rising in your body. One of his hands comb back the hair from your face, while the other skims down to knead the flesh on your rear. The slightest brush of his body against yours hardens your nipples, and you gasp when he brushes a thumb across one of them.
“Let me return the favour.” Kyoujurou lifts you onto the bathroom counter, the cool marble a deep contrast to your hot skin. Slowly, he kisses the sweet spots he knows so well on your neck, playing with your chest until you begin to heave in anticipation. You feel light-headed, in the consuming embrace of your husband, content to stay that way until the ache in your pussy grows too strong to be left unattended. His wandering hands clutch the soft curves of your hips.
“You’re gorgeous, beautiful, stunning.” He kneels on the floor, lifting your legs over his shoulders and leaving red spots as he sucks and bites down to the growing wetness between them. Two fingers come to coax your slick from between your folds, Kyoujurou admires the glisten of your swollen cunt before he finally flicks his tongue out to toy with your clit. The pleasure halts your breath, and you savour the sensations of his hot breath and tongue, building and building. You can’t help but run a hand through his wet hair, rake your fingers across his scalp which earns you an eager groan.
Kyou pulls back with a gasp, licking the remainder of your wetness from his lips. He helps you down from the counter and wraps you with a towel, ushering you out of the bathroom and into your bedroom.
“Sit back.” You crawl onto the bed and push him down into the soft pillows. His beautiful cock bobs between his legs, twitching when you lick down his shaft. You spit onto his head, a hand spreading your saliva down until it drips onto his heavy balls. With slow, deliberate strokes, you suck his balls, keening under the low moans and sighs of your lover. Kyoujurou’s hard cock in your gentle grip, the heady scent of his precum… It feels so good to have him all to yourself for once, to have him be pleasured by your touch, straining to hold himself back from thrusting his hips upward. With a hand still on his length, you take the tip of his cock into your mouth, swirling your tongue as you inch your way down his thickness.
“Wait- ah, fuck!” Kyou whines, digging his fingers into your shoulder. “Feels...too good.”
You lean back, a thin string of spit between your lips and his cock beading onto the bedding. Kyoujurou lies on his side behind you, holding your thigh up with one arm and propping himself up with the other. He drags his length between your slippery folds before positioning at your entrance. Easing himself in, you feel him shudder and grunt. Every inch sliding in, warming you up from the inside, filling you. Gentle until he bumps against your cervix, fully sheathed within you.
“Love, you feel so good…”
“Kyou…” You whimper, clenching around the ample size of his meaty cock. “Please?”
Gingerly, he thrusts his hips upwards, at an angle such that his full length rubs against your g-spot, again when he pulls back. You busy yourself with fingering your clit. The pressure builds back up again, growing, growing. Your moans are breathy, mingling with gasps of his name. Kyoujurou licks the shell of your ear, nuzzles his face into the crook of your neck. It’s gentle, needy.
“I’m...gonna…” You stutter, and Kyoujurou goes the slightest bit faster, pressing into you enough to tip you over the edge. He continues through your climax, until you’re left a trembling mess in his arms. With ease, he flips you over onto your back and slides himself in again. He kisses you, tongue and warm breath consuming you entirely, muffling both of your moans of pleasure.
Gradually picking up pace, you encourage him by holding him closer, wrapping your weak legs around his torso. Whispers of your name, so tender from his mouth, spoken like a prayer into your ear. The room’s filled with noise from just the two of you- the rhythmic, wet noise of your sex mixed in with moans and sighs.
“Inside, please.” Kyoujurou’s breath ghosts over your collarbone, the steady pace of his hips meeting yours growing more erratic, desperate. With a stutter of his hips, he finishes, resting against you for a few silent moments like a blanket.
“Thank you, my love.” Kyoujurou spoons you again, stroking the silhouette of your body. “Happy Mother’s Day. Thank you so, so much for granting me this happiness.”
“It’s not Mother’s Day anymore, Kyou. But happy belated birthday, love.” You giggle, planting a tender kiss on his lips. “It’s 12.04am.”

hi! a request! so in japanese culture, saying "aishteru" is only reserved for couples with maximum level of romance? how about lets say its years after muzan's defeat, giyuu and reader live a peaceful life together. giyuu looks back at all of the pain and suffering he endured as a demon slayer, but his thoughts are focused to the happy moments with reader. being the airhead he is, he says "aishteru", and reader is shookt bec giyuu literally confessed his deep and unconditional love for her lmaoo
hi anon thank you for this request this made me really soft while writing it! im sorry that it took too long to write, but i hope you still like it! :( and i hope i did our boy justice bc it’s my first time writing about him. here’s soft!Giyuu for y’alls! - marianne
my requests are open!
Tumblr media
Life truly is beautiful when you’re not off on missions and don’t have the impending doom of Muzan looming over your heads.
It’s been 5 years after Muzan’s death by the hands of the hashiras along with Tanjirou, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Kanao, and the now back to human Nezuko. He’s lost so many people in his life already and yes he still lost countless of friends, fellow demon slayers, and Oyakata-sama which was the trade off he never wanted, but their deaths were not in vain, because life was now peaceful and beautiful.
Giyuu looked at you beside him, you were reading one of the books that was given to you by Obanai and Mitsuri for your birthday recently, you looked so peaceful and soft all wrapped up in his arm, a small smile on your lips as you continued to read, already engrossed in the story.
You were someone that he never expected to come into his life amidst the raging battles and the constant loss of important figure in his life - you were the one person who stayed with him all throughout the entirety of the nightmare Muzan has subjected everyone in the corps to.
And despite the severity of the situation that was at hand before, your kindness and gentleness to those around you never wavered, instead it just seemingly increased tenfold. Such as that time when you were able to cheer him up unknowingly when he had just returned from a mission he had failed to accomplish, letting the demon get away.
“Giyuu-san,”
He looked up from his sword to see you smiling at him softly, you were fresh from a mission, having just returned last night as well. There were still some healing cuts and bruises that peeked through the collar and sleeves of your uniform, but nothing could ever make you less … pleasing to look at, if anything Giyuu finds it admirable how you were able to take everything in stride.
“I just wanted to drop by and give you this,” You gave him a neatly wrapped bento box that contained his favorite meal, simmered salmon with daikon. “I heard you last night over dinner whispering about how much you missed your favorite dish.”
Giyuu was unsure as to what to say to you, but he couldn’t help the smile that formed on his lips. “T-thank you, (Y/N)-san”
Having you in his life was a breath of fresh air he never knew he was craving for. You were his rock, the only person to be able to fully see past his stoic expressions and silence.
Giyuu never questioned your ability on being able to read his emotions accurately, and he will never question it, because he’s thankful that he doesn’t have to explain himself to you as much.
“We both know you feel guilty about what happened to Rengoku-san,”
Giyuu just looked at you, a little confused, because you stood by the door frame, with a calm look on your face. He could never understand how you could still be so strong in the news of having just lost one of your colleagues, heck, you were all family at this point.
You both have just lost a member of the family and yet here you stood, calm and collected.
“I should have been the one to have been tasked with that mission,” Was all he was able to say, still not trusting himself with words, because he is not sure how to process these emotions that are bubbling up inside of him.
Crossing his room, you took a seat beside him as he gazed outside his window. “We all signed up for this with the knowledge that each mission could very well be our last. Kyujuro fought with his heart blazing to keep the innocent safe.”
A tear made its way down of his cheek, no longer able to contain his emotions.
Gently grasping Giyuu’s hand into yours, you offered him a soft smile. “He wouldn’t have traded his place with you even if it meant him keeping his life, he would have wanted all of us to take his death as some sort of inspiration to continue the fight against Muzan,”
Even when the nightmare was drawing to a close, you were still there by his side, ready with your warm embrace to shield him from the world, with your words to put his mind and heart at east, and you presence to make it known to him that you will never leave his side, and that you are more than ready to follow him into the fight once more.
He woke up with a jolt, gasping as he tried to make sense of where he was, but all he could see what the familiar decor of the infirmary back at their head quarters. So could that all have just been a dream?
Okayata-sama, Shinobou, Muichiro, Genya - ?
“Tomioka,” You were sitting beside his bed, reading one of the books that Shinobou left lying around in her office. Seeing how shaken Giyuu looked when he whipped his head toward you, and growing realization in his eyes as tears started to form, it broke your heart.
“No,” He croaked, tears threatening to spill from his eyes. “please, no.” Giyuu knew it was pointless begging with you, because he knew it himself that no one could give back the people they have lost during the battle.
You could feel your own tears forming in your eyes, it hurt knowing that you have lost people whom you care for deeply and no longer be able to see them, but it also pained you to see Giyuu’s walls get torn down and finally break right before your eyes.
Carefully climbing onto the bed with him, you wrapped him into your arms, his arm wrapping around your waist in a weak attempt to hold onto you.
Giyuu is not a man of many words, and he appreciates that you understand that and don’t hold it against him in times that you seek his loving presence. You have mentioned that he shows his affection to you more so in actions such as compared to words.
And to think that despite the suffering he has endured in his life as a demon slayer, you were always there to shine your bright light to help him get through it and open up your loving arms to give him the warmth and affection that he never thought he needed.
There was a warm feeling in his chest, despite having been married to you for 5 years, he still has some difficulty pinpointing his emotions, and the smile that he just can’t contain whenever he’s with you.
“Aishteru,”
Beside him he heard you giggle softly, causing him to stiffen. Had Giyuu said that out loud? He’s always wanted to say it back to you, but not like this, he wanted it to be special and be said to you at a place that was of significance to you both.
“I love you too, Tomioka, with all my heart.” You said quietly, just loud enough for him to hear, kissing his cheek.
Giyuu, and he was fairly sure of it now, is the luckiest man on earth.

HGW, Day 4: Character Death | Giyuu x F!S/O
NOTE: Hey hey, bbys! This one doesn’t deal with actual character death, but more of how Giyuu dealt with his loss. Also, this one is connected to Day 3 of Hurt Giyuu Week. But y’all can bypass that and just read this. UwU
*** Warnings: Mentions of Character Deaths, Mentions of Death of an Unborn Child, Grieving, Depression, Language, Angst, SO MUCH ANGST
If Giyuu was ever given the chance to change things in his life, he would still have chosen to have had the chance to meet (Y/n).
Even if choosing her meant that he was going to lose her in the end.
The pain was still fresh in his mind, as well as his heart, but that was nothing new. He felt so numb that he could barely function, but that was also nothing new. In the months that passed by after (Y/n)’s death, he slowly regressed into something that was nothing more than a shell of his former self.
Hell, he even felt that he was no longer human; but simply a machine that went on with the motions— as was expected of him.
Because (Y/n)’s death had hit him hard— much harder than Sabito’s; not because he wasn’t as close to Sabito as he was to (Y/n), but because he had already planned out his entire life with her. The future he had planned wasn’t just for himself, but for both of them— as well as the family that they were supposed to build together.
And to have had that destroyed in one fell swoop… it broke the heart that he thought was already starting to mend.
However, no matter how bad his days got— and no matter how difficult Shinazugawa made life for him, what with his sneers and his accusatory glares— not once did he think about giving up, because he knew how much that would sadden not only (Y/n)— but also Sabito, and his sister Tsutako.
But even his own resolve couldn’t block out all of the hateful words that Shinazugawa was throwing his way at that moment.
It seemed that it had been a bad week for Sanemi, as he had been very distracted as of late— even during missions. And his mood was made even worse, considering the fact that it was also (Y/n)’s birthday that day.
Those two had spent almost their entire lives together— and it was pretty difficult for the Wind Hashira to come to terms with the fact that it was the first time that he wasn’t going to celebrate his closest friend’s birthday with her.
“If you hadn’t fucked up, then she would still be here!” Sanemi bellowed at Giyuu, all while pointing an accusatory finger at the other man. “It’s your fault that she’s gone!”
“Shinazugawa-san, please calm down,” Shinobu cut in, while Rengoku and Uzui pulled the livid Wind Hashira away from their comrade.
“How can I be calm when it’s his fault that she’s dead?” Sanemi hurled at Giyuu once more.
Still, he chose to remain quiet— as he was sure that there was a smidge of truth in the other man’s words. If he had just caught up with her in time, then she wouldn’t have been turned into a demon.
She would still be with him— most likely enjoying a slice of Castella as well as a cup of tea, with Sanemi beside her scarfing down the cake that he so ‘disliked’.
His life would have still been the same bliss that it was, had he looked after her better.
“It’s all your goddamn fault!” Sanemi yelled again, as he thrashed against Rengoku’s and Uzui’s tight hold on his arms.
It was obvious to everyone that Shinazugawa was just using Giyuu as a scapegoat, as he was the one who had dealt the killing blow to (Y/n); but everyone also understood that— no matter how unfair it was to Giyuu— it was how the Wind Hashira was trying to cope with his own grief.
However, Giyuu was tired of it; he was sick of always being the one that was blamed with everything. So, with tears pricking the backs of his eyes, he snarled, “Did you ever think that I wanted that to happen? If I could have traded places with (Y/n), I would have done so in a heartbeat. Because the gods know, as much as I do, that she deserves to live more than me.
“She was pregnant with our child! And she was… we were…” The pain in Giyuu’s voice was made even more evident by the way that his bottom lip quivered. At that point, tears had begun to fall down his face, yet he made no effort to wipe them away— as he knew that it would be fruitless. Not when more tears would only replace the ones he’d wipe away.
To think that he had been so close to attaining another bout of happiness with the love of his life; it made him take in a stuttering gasp of breath, if only to try and calm down his frantic emotions.
All the fight seemed to leave Sanemi after that revelation, since he had stopped trying to free himself from the hands that held him back. Still, his own tears didn’t cease falling. “I… didn’t know, Tomioka. I…”
Sanemi wanted to apologize for all of the harsh words he’d hurled at his comrade, but his pride kept him from doing so. And that left him stuck between opening and closing his mouth in search of the right words, as well as clenching and unclenching his hands into fists— as he was very uncomfortable with his own previous actions.
But, finally, after a long stretch of silence, Sanemi finally managed to muster out, “I’m… sorry, Tomioka.”
Giyuu merely shot him a watery smile at that, before answering, “Don’t apologize. It’s not like I deserve it, anyway. Especially after what I’d done… I don’t think I deserve happiness at all.”
