31 Nights of Halloween Horror: day 10

I watched this one earlyyyyyy yesterday so I’d have time to post yesterday, and I still forgot until I was laying down for bed lol. I gotta get better at this lol. My choice for yesterday was the new Hulu movie Grimcutty

I rated this 5/10. Average teen horror about a creepy internet meme that becomes real because the parents start freaking out about it lol. Acting was fine, plot was fine. The Grimcutty was pretty silly looking though, not very scary. I guess if that thing was choking me out in the air in real life it’d be creepy, but as a movie? Not so much lol. Worth a one time watch.

I didddddddddd enjoy seeing Usman Ally who played the Hook Handed Man from ASOUE as the dad. His character was kind of a dick, but it’s fiiiiiiiiine lol. Also the mom was played by the beautiful Shannyn Sossamon, who I haven’t seen in a movie since I thiiiiiink Sinister II. She’s great too though.

Watched a Jewish horror movie called Lullaby on Hulu.

Omg I love it so much. Some parts took me out of the experience at moments but those were few, and the Rabbi had tattoos!!!! Like I know they're not suppose to but I was living! I love religious leaders with tattoos. Makes them seem more empathetic, and self aware.

Definitely recommend it.

This movie had me thinking about converting compared to the thousands of Catholic horror movies I've seen. Also, I just love how Hebrew sounds when spoken. So cool.

I'm really not appreciating how streaming is being used as a general dumping ground for anything the studio isn't 100% sold on.

I just saw No One Will Save You and that should have been in theaters. It's a great film and easily could go up against the other horror out now. Same thing happened with Annihilation and Prey.

Stand by your films! They're well made and audiences actually do like it when movies are willing to get a little weird or off the beaten track.
