I saw ur response about that arranged marriage au with Capitano and i can't stop myself from laughing just thinking about his soldier teaching him "How To Communicate with Your Lover 101" 😂

Like, imagine his soldiers asking him to demonstrate of how he usually express his love to reader 🤣 so, one of the fatui soldier decided to act as "his lover" and.. Oh boy, it went REALLY awkward bcs he just *STARES* at them like he is a monster staring into their prey's soul 😭

RAHHHH I LOVE THIS!!! Fatui soldiers being the best wingmen for their boss. + If we think about it there's probably a book in Tevyat related to couples communication/advice 101, the soliders probably tell him that it might be more helpful than them (they're not sure how much longer they can last in this conversation) Capitano ends up purchasing multiple and now he reads them alone in his office and internally he thinks "damn couples actually do this? i messed up 😭 they hate me now 😭"

That poor soldier, being in the Captain's presence is already hard enough but having him standing in front of you, staring into the depths of your soul without a word?? They're not sleeping tonight. And now the soldiers have an amazing story to tell around the campfire at least, the time the 1st Harbinger demonstrated his ways of affection in front of them.

And he just keeps staring until one of the soldiers has the courage to interrupt and ask him if that's really how he shows affection and Capitano just... nods like it's normal. And now Capitano is not an idiot because he can still clearly see how his soldiers are scratching their heads awkwardly and sending each other strange looks, and he immediately knows that this was not a good demonstration in the slightest. He would just clear his throat and be like "ahem. apologies for wasting your time. back to training." And then the soldiers would honestly feel bad and throw him a little advice like "sir, maybe you should gift them something nice to show your appreciation for them." 🥺 "or perhaps lord capitano, maybe a letter would be nice!"

Though these good ideas he's still a bit lost, because 1. he doesn't know what you like very well, and he doesn't want to accidentally gift you something bad. But then he realizes he can just ask the attendants! Yes, this is going good. As for the letter... he wonders what he should ask you. Are you doing well? Normally these are questions you ask someone in person, especially since you two live in the same house... but you seem to be a bit on edge while he's around. Maybe writing it down will be easier for you too! Hopefully you'll respond.

What made you ship it?

so... I have a very specific list of qualities I look for when it comes to my favorite male characters. And Grimmjow fit them all 😂💕

When I first watched Bleach the only thing I shipped was IchiRuki, bc naturally that was the only way to go for me tbh, but then Grimm appeared and I was obsessed. When it comes to otps for me, first I find a fave character, then I consider the possible pairings. Not any other way. And with Grimmjow... well the only option for me was Ichigo tbh.

Not to discredit any other Grimmjow ships, I've done a few of them myself, but with how passionately these two throw themselves at each other I truly couldn't look any other way. Lol

So tldr; Grimmjow's got slut potential and I dig that, and they're too into each other for me not to see "gay" plastered all over them 💫

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

Hmmm 🤔maybe how inherently feral it is, canon-wise. Also how harmonious their overall designs are together, there's nothing nicer than a pair that looks good together, at least as an artist. Also how easy they are (for me at least) to write/draw; I have a hard time focusing on one thing for long enough to get good at things (hence the many AUs lol!) so for me to have a ship I draw constantly for more than four years now... is truly astounding lmao. They helped me grow soooo much so they hold a dear dear place in my heart just bc of that alone.

And because of that last one: how easy it is to apply AUs to themmmm ;w;<33333 I can legit think of anything and make an AU out of it and not struggle too much to find the perfect place for them in it.

And also,, sort of fave sort of least fave- that it's not an overly popular ship in general (ik it's popular in the Bleach fandom itself, but rather; not popular like a ship from BNHA or JJK). Why; bc I get to have my quiet space where I draw all the ideas I want and yet have had verY few people throw insults at me for some of my darker stuff 😂 Bigger fandoms I've interacted with (as a viewer mostly) have had issues popping up left and right, people getting upset over dumb shit and letting that grow to huge proportions, "antis" everywhere... yeahhhh no thanks 😖

but also-- it gets verY quiet at times specially for someone who's so picky. Like, if I could find a fandom space like the exclusive bottom Bakugo enthusiasts I followed on twt (and even bought a whole zine about) but for GriMMJOW??? WOOF😭💕 so yeah,,, love-hate situation on this last bit lmaooo

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

A few 😂😭 everyone who's followed my art for a certain amount of time can probs tell how the 'tism really affects how I enjoy ships lmaoooo I have to enjoy them a very specific certain way so... that means I don't partake at all on a good few of the popular tropes for the ship. Some I can think of rn; damsel-in-distress!Ichigo, overly hurtful!Grimm (although this one is more old fandom I think 🤔? I remember, in a lot of fics back then, Grimmjow was portrayed a lot as this violent rapist adgdfddfdff not for me lmaoo), ofc top!Grimm, Grimmjow acting all macho relationship wise, and too much angst (I think this ship (and Ichigo in general lets be honest) can call for a lot of angst in fic so I totally get it- but ...meh, if it's not romaticized/sexualized angst, idc for it adgdfgf I don't like it when they actually suffer 😭)

OOH OH! ALSO --- making them OOC in AUs CAN be great actually (to me at least). I know a lot of people (not just here, but in any ship/fandom/etc) don't love OOC characterizations of their fave characters/ships (hence why it's a tag we use tbh) but I personally love that at times??? I won't do it all the time and all over the place... but AUs where there's space to make Grimm less violent? or Ichigo less friendly/loving??? While still within their canon character potentials--- hecC yes. >:)ccc

Also ofc; that I wish it was still common to tag ships as top-bottom like it is with HoEn/EnHo (bnha), VK/KV /trigun, KRBK/BKKR (bnha) etc or at least tag it some other way along the ship.... it would be sO much easier to filter out stuff i don't want to see instead of having to mute/block a whole person I would still love to see stuff from.

BuT I am aware most have no preference whatsoever lmaO so... yeah nothing I can do there except not follow people pfFFF 😂😭 (and wait until I find peeps with similar tastes aasdfs)

So, is Ingo here the actual Avatar or just an airbender? I saw that you pointed at them both waking up from hibernation, so they were frozen together? And how did they end up in different nations, were they separated?

I love at/la so you basically got my brain going by mixing two of my hyperfixations dnkshskshsk

WARGHH HOLY MOLY!! IM SO HAPPY YOU ASKED IM HYPERFIXATED AS HECC RIGHT NOW!! (keep in mind, im only at book of water right now, so im going off information i have based on what ive watched so far, so it might end up changing a bit as i go! <3) I haven't truly decided if Ingo should be the avatar yet, but with the way I set it up, that might be what i go with. Originally when i was making this Au though, he was just an airbender lmao And yes!! they were frozen together! (which was Ingos doing in an act of desperation and pure adrenaline.) As for how their story of how they got there- They had an airbender monther and a firebender father, so they each inherited one from their parents. Since they needed separate training, Ingo was sent to the air temple to train with his monther, and Emmet was taken to the fire nation with their dad and uncle. Emmet was trained and put into the fire nation army. The second he found out about the firelords plan, he fled to the air temple to warn his brother and mother. However, the firenation managed to get there just as fast. The twins were told to flee, and while doing so they got ambushed and Emmet was labeled a traitor. Emmet got his scar after taking the blunt of a blow to protect Ingo while they were fleeing. They crash their bison which is where Ingo incases them in the iceberg. Once they get out of the iceberg, after discussing and realising what happened, they split up. Emmet travels to the fire nation to sneak info back and forth, while Ingo continues to explore the other kingdoms (Or learning different bendings, depending on if he's the avatar or not lmao) EKJWEKNJWFKJN WARGHH THANK U SM FOR THEINTEREST AND FOR ASKING WAAA!!

Slight Origin Story?

Adder was originally just a college student in a rich family, despite this he wasnt rlly.. stable.. Always attacking others when being told what to do thus is often was called a spoiled brat by the other students in the campus. He did have one friend though, his was Hugo, a boy who he knew since childhood.

But then... a certain incident to happen... While one day, there was a campus party & smtn just snapped in Adder, this of course was from the pressure of his father who rlly gave no friks for him at all.. Adder to RAMPAGE & kill any known target that was "in his way" but then he was shot.. by Hugo? His friend! But why? Bcs of what Adder did what was the thing that trigger Hugo to kill him...

Adder was then reborn as a Sinner in Wrath, despite being the first level it was very much a warzone there, despite that he actually enjoyed killing ppl... As it was a way he can FINALLY take out HIS ANGER on the ones who wronged him.. Maybe is that what Mom wanted?

Years later he rose up the ranks, essentially becoming a tyrant till he went into the rank... of a God, who needed to be redeemed when you're now a God? He didn't, and he now had what HE wanted... To be in control.. No more being told what to do by some puny mortals or "peasants". His kingdom grew extensively, becoming bigger & bigger. But since it "was" still TECHNICALLY a part of Wrath, he took some of its culture & gave it his own twist..

And this is how Adder came to be! (And yeh I kinda changed his origins a bit bcs him dying in Highskool felt weird & I feel very iffy with that tbh)

I could see a piece of it with Etho while he’s taller then BDubs and Impulse canonically and irl, he would be actually smaller then the two of them since astroids are smaller then planets yknow.

That’s probably not AU Accurate for Etho to be smaller then them but could be a super cute concept that when they tickle him they just sorta hold him in their arms together and tickle the hecc out of Etho.

For more AU accurate stuff that he would be taller than them from what I’m assuming, the concept of Impulse wrapping his tail around them is super cute! I could see him using his tail to brush it up against Ethos tum and pull giggles out of him like mad.

I could also see like Etho getting sad since he’s not in a position to be near them and getting super touch starved and sensitive and then when they do finally see him again he just melts at any touch and absolutely losing himself in silly hysteria when tickled since it’s been awhile since he was last tickled.

The two of them teaming up on Etho to tickle him as well is also a super cute concept!

forces au time wheeeee

ill add onto this with more details as i think it out but ANYWAY

Gadget's backstory:

gadget is trans girl (hey now custom hero is perfect for some self projection)

she had transphobic parents (i didnt), and seeks out someone online that might be supportive

unlucky for her that someone is Zer0 (infinite before the ruby), an edgy pricc who seems nice enough at first

but soon enough revealed himself to be a canine supremacist fascist

shortly after that her parents somehow found out about gadget's online life and, well, ill spare the details there.

the war starts soon after and gadget is on the run, and feeling isolated

Sonic:

sega are fuckin cowards.. when yall say he were tortured for 6 months actually DO SOMETHIN WITH IT

anyway infinite psychologically tortured sonic with illusions. being drowned, crushed, you name it, he did it the bastard

worst part were seeing his friends die in gruesome ways, and developing massive guilt over being caught in the first place and letting them all down.

after being busted out he sees "oh shit, its actually a hellscape out there like in that teaser trailer"

determination to fight and to keep his emotions from being seen.

eventually we arrive at a final battle of sorts, sonic panics over the idea of friends dying for real.. combine that with chaos energy from the emeralds and

dark sonic emerges, no mercy for infinite or eggman

in fact he beats the latter to DEATH, shocking everyone including himself when the power dissipates

everyone gets a glimpse of how sonic really felt all this time and it aint pretty

after being looked over by the med team sonic isolates himself in a resistance dorm room

a few days after, shadow visits to check in on the poor boi

sonic spills it all out.. HE SAW THEM DIE-- HE LET THEM DOWN

shadow is understandably shaken, but does not hesitate to be there to comfort

oh and tails prolly distressed that his bro will never be the same again.. a fate worse than death? he aint sure but he isnt doin well either. no one is

After the war, with Gadget:

gadget found companionship in tails during the last few weeks of the war, but hasnt really opened up much

an offhand mention of having known infinite leads shadow to question gadget about it

but tl;dw its war trauma on top of childhood abuse and betrayal and she cant really cope that well

shadow does his best (we love him for it) but its not an easy road to recovery for the wolf

oh and gadgets also sensitive to everyone else being ✨TRAUMATIZED✨ gahh she needs a hug..

surprise robo angst!:

okay this may just be inspired heavily by @wonderinc-sonic and their cyber virus au but anyway

eggman during the war sends out a virus to disable all eggtech, since he got word of some civilians hacking it

this means that omega, metal, etc will fuckin DIE unless they are out of those bodies

using pieces of some stolen scrapped tech relating to a "roboticizer" and a chaos emerald, the resistance is able to give our robo friends new organic bodies!

this is something none of them take well

omega takes a massive hit to her self esteem as her greatest trait, firepower, is forever gone

and metal... poor thing has been bottling up some feelings that let loose with the whole being a mobian thing

oh yeah both omega and metal are trans, and we got some metamy yuri as well

now back to shadow and sonic

shadow has ended up taking after sonic a bit in trying to be there for absolutely everyone even when there isnt much he can do

it takes such a heavy toll and team dark encourage him to reconnect with his old therapist because of it...

speaking of therapy! sonic.

his mental health has been absolutely shattered.. unfortunately to the point where he's been hurting himself

so his friends and shadow make frequent check ins while making sure that he is seeing a therapist for well, everything.....

it will be difficult as hecc but eventually everyone will (somewhat) adjust to this new era of mobius

after some time sonic actually starts feeling okay enough to move back into tails workshop

shadow comes by to check in and thats this other audio drama

I weirdly feel like I was asked this before, but then again couldn't find such an ask, so maybe it was in tags? Anyway, glad you like them haha!

IDK how to explain it, I guess I could share some of the thought process? I dunno if it'll be helpful to anybody, but I can try!

(long post ahead; this is kinda hard to summarize shortly, plus I wanna show some visual examples)

There's basically three categories I tend to consider & they are often connected and not fully separate things? Everything has an effect to everything, kind of. These things are Theme, Colors, and Setting/Role.

Theme = Something I might choose to base the character's design on, which influences everything from colors to outfit shapes and details.

I guess good examples for this are my Telepath twins, whose appearances from details to colors are inspired largely by their chosen theme:

Milo's theme is Moth, specifically an Imperial moth that is brown and yellow, hence his colors, fluffy collar/coat. Silas' theme is Monarch butterfly, which is why his outfit has oranges and blacks.

Colors = often based on the theme, but sometimes I can choose more freely by starting the process from colors instead, where I often consider what colors would contrast well/what colors would fit the character's personality for example.

Good examples for more color-based/colors as starting point for the design are Yaguro, Chouma and Mari. (Yes more moths, sorry lmao)

Their colors are largely inspired by their personality/story. Chouma has red contrasting his green to look more intimidating/striking to kind of further press home the point he's bad news, Yaguro's largely purple/blue color scheme with just hints of yellow is bit more "harmonious" I guess, to indicate his calmer nature despite his tough guy appearance. Mari is very bright and colorful to match her cheery nature.

(.....to be fair, their colors were also chosen cuz they looked cool lmao, but usually I have some level of conscious thought put behind it)

Setting = What kind of world the character lives in/what is their role. If it's a more fantasy setting (as my oc stories often are) giving them urban clothing/modern looking stuff tends to not work for me that well lol.

Pretty much all characters are influenced somewhat by this, but good examples of where the setting/role is the primary influence would be, well, actually the AU you mentioned, as well as The steampunk aesthetic of Stringmaster, so these two Tomuras. I feel like this is a bit self-explanatory lol

Like said, typically these three major...let’s call them my “design pillars” or whatever, are intertwined and all have an influence over what I’ll make. Typically I have one of them as the main starting point though, (Theme approach, color approach, or setting/role approach for the design) and I add stuff from the other two. I sometimes might even make some small rules to sort of keep things consistent if characters share something, such as their being; all moth spirits have dark scleroses and fluff, all corrupted moths have less fluff than non-corrupted ones, to give one example.

Of course, naturally, my own personal preferences influence design choices a lot too; I like making long-haired guys a lot, narrower eyes and generally pretty colorful characters hehe.

Everyone has a different way to approach this though of course, so you might find a different way of doing this is better suited for you! This is, like said, just my design process, how it sorta works.
