First date!
🐢💙❤️2003 TMNT x Reader💜🧡🐢
Tumblr media
Word Count: 862
CW: Gender-neutral reader, referred to only as ‘you’, turtles my beloved, I am feeding you turtle fluff today. <3
🐢💙Leonardo💙🐢
💙 A first date with Leo would be pretty cozy, I’d think. He wishes he could take you out to a fancy restaurant like other men could, or even take you to a movie theater, ANYTHING so romantic, he wishes he could do. It really does make him feel so bad that he can’t provide you with romantic experiences like this, not unless he was disguised, but he can’t risk it either.
💙 But, you’re able to snap him out of it! You suggest a little stay-in date, and honestly, he wasn’t really aware what a stay-in date was, so you end up explaining all the things you two could do.
💙 That actually lifts his spirits a bit, and you reassuring him you didn’t need anything fancy and were happy just spending time with him made him feel so warm and fuzzy.
💙 The two of you would make dinner together when the brothers were out and Splinter was sitting in his room. The two of you had a romantic time, making spaghetti together and enjoying the meal… Soft touches, subtle flirting and sweet exchanges with one another, and the food was delicious too!
💙 After that, Leo would turn on Mikey’s stereo, playing some romantic music, then offering a hand. Once you take it, he’d pull you into a slow dance, your bodies pressed together in a warm embrace as you two would sway, his eyes staring into yours warmly. It was truly a cozy night.
🐢❤️Raphael❤️🐢
❤️ A first date with Raph would be pretty fun! He already knows what he wants to do, he’s had it planned out for months if you two ever did get together— Yeah, he’s daydreamed a lot the moment you’d possibly say yes.
❤️ He gets Donnie to make another helmet, just for you specifically. Once that’s done, the plan is set into motion. Raph approaches you and asks if you want to go somewhere special, and once you give him the yes he was waiting for, he takes you up to their garage.
❤️ He would take you for a ride on the Shell Cycle through the city and soon make it outside of the city to a nearby patch of grass with a blanket and even a picnic basket, (bro had this all set up).
❤️ The two of you would end up enjoying the sandwiches he made while admiring the stars, it was just the two of you, and it all felt so so right.
❤️ You guys ended up cuddling that night and sharing a few kisses before he had to bring you home. He was very grumpy about that fact. 💔
🐢💜Donatello💜🐢
💜 With Donnie, he wasn’t sure what to do for a first date. He’s not experienced in the romance department, (not like any of his brothers are either but), mostly because he’s always thought more about science than what it would be like to love another.
💜 Well, how about a small adventure? Not the most romantic, but it would still be fun! The two of you set off in the Battle Shell, picking up some fast food and stopping in an empty-ish parking lot to eat.
💜 After talking and eating, you two would set off again and find yourself at an old scrapyard that seemed pretty much abandoned! After Donnie would give you that look, you couldn’t deny those little puppy eyes.
💜 Honestly an interesting experience. Donnie found some pretty neat things he could use for his inventions, and you found some pretty cool old things, like you found an old antique lamp, which was pretty cool!
💜 You guys would get back to the lair and end up cuddling on the couch. Not long after, both of you were passed out with a soft blanket draped over the both of you. His brothers found you guys and Mikey took pictures to tease the both of you later, (little stinker).
🐢🧡Michelangelo🧡🐢
🧡 As I mentioned in the last fic, (the ‘03 turtles are in love!), you guys had a rooftop date… And to say it was a fun experience would be absolutely correct.
🧡 Mikey, being the goofball that he is, had this little dining table set up and he had a fake mustache on along with this apron, acting like a waiter once you first climbed onto the rooftop, greeting you with a big smile.
🧡 He’d push in your chair and hand you the menu, pouring you a glass of Fanta, while asking you what you’d like to eat. This menu only had pizza on it by the way, so what did you order? Pizza of course!
🧡 He’d take your menu and soon grab a box of pizza, tossing aside his apron and mustache, making you laugh at his silly antics. He’d serve the pizza with a wink, and you guys would have a small dinner date while watching the sunset together!
🧡 After dinner, you and him would have fun dancing on the rooftop. Similar to Leo, he’d play music, but instead of an embracing dance with romantic music, you would be listening to more cheerful music and having a good time! Dancing to your heart's content and laughing. If you ever did end up getting tired, he’d carry you home without issue.
RAAAH, okay, felt a good amount of inspo today so I was quick to dispel it 😭 also GOD DAMN, thank you guys so much for the support on the last fic! I didn’t expect it to get so much traction like at all, so glad to see you guys like my writing! :) Next one I’m planning is first kisses with these lovely turtles <3 so I hope to see you guys there too!

Movie Night 🎬
Move night headcannons with the TMNT boys
Warnings: it'll rot your teeth (sweet sweet fluffy goodness)
Movie nights with the turtles boys is the epitome of comfort
But movie night starts early evening with a grand dinner (it's splinters rule)
It's his fatherly instincts to feed all the people in his household
Sometimes you, April, Casey, and Vern take turns on getting take out
But a majority of the time Mikey and you cook. Yes, you and Mikey.
Doesn't matter if you're dating or not, yall both be in the kitchen.
Mikey firmly believes cooking together is a love language and loves to do it with you, no matter what you're relationship is.
If you're his girlfriend, he loves showing you how to cook his favorite dishes and covering his hands in flour and making hand marks on your ass and boobs
He adores this time with you <3
If you're friends with the guys or dating one of his brothers, he sees this as bonding time.
He sees you as a sibling and wants to show how much he adores you and how happy you've made his brother(s)
After you all (yes all) have sat down at the dining table and had dinner: its movie time
You got blankets, you got never ending snacks, you've got commentary from Mikey and Donnie and Raph telling them to shut up. And then Leo shushing them all.
These boys will NOT turn down snuggles if you ask
Doesn't matter if it's simply you laying your head on their shoulder or putting yourself in their lap, or sitting in between their legs resting against their chest
Raph likes action/adventure movies, something with cool fight scenes, a car chase, some romance, and slow motion explosions. He doesn't like really gorry or nasty bloody films, he prefers pg-13 violence.
Mikey likes long sagas or franchises, or even shows. He likes binge watching anything. Romance, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, action, etc. He enjoys several different types of movies. But his favorite is space or sci-fi and fantasy, stuff that's really cool but sadly fake.
Lots of people think that Donnie only watches documentaries and I don't think that's true. Yes, he loves a good documentary, but I feel like he enjoys "history" movies with small twists or ones that aren't entirely accurate. Like the 'Mummy' movies with Brendan Fraser. He likes romance movies but would prefere a sci-fi film with a romance sub-plot *cough* star wars *cough*
Speaking of star wars, Mikey and Donnie constantly binge the entire franchise, they've seen all the movies and shows and will quote them the entire time. (It's really cute)
Leo likes mystery movies, shocking I know, but he likes to try and solve it before the end. He's a sap for Hallmark Christmas Movies, he likes romance okay. He likes action movies involving some form of martial arts (especially if one of the characters has katanas)
Leo and Donnie like to make bets before any mystery movie about how it ends. The score is 6-8 (Leo's in the lead shockingly)
If you're like me and don't like people getting sick (🤢🤮) (that type of sick) they will mute the TV, and or cover you ears and eyes so you don't have to see it.
Same thing with flashing and bright lights on the screen.
Leo and Mikey places bets on who falls asleep first. It's always Raph or Donnie.
If Splinters in the room, no one makes dirty comments or jokes about what's on the TV. But the second he leaves all bets are off.
After the movie(s) you'll either be escorted home by your favorite boy or you'll spend the night.
The best nights are when you fall asleep in your turtles arms, all warm and snuggly after a long week.

Leo Blues
Leon (Future Leo) realizes that his younger self is feeling a bit blue and decides to help him feel better.
I wrote half of this months ago and the other half today. Shoutout to my friend @little-banjo-frog for giving some ideas and helping with the fic!!! :D
This is part of an AU but you don't really need to know context. Just that Future Leo is back to past, and maybe some other family members, and he is hanging out in the lair with others.
Oh also this is inspired by @tmnt-event-blog 's prompt (basically what motivated me to finish it haha)
Word Count: 2530 ☆ Fandom: rottmnt ☆ Warnings: a very brief implication of death/losing someone close ☆ AO3 Link: Here!! ☆
Tumblr media
Leon knew himself well. Not himself himself, but his younger self. Leo was a younger version of Leon after all, and Leon knew what it did mean when he sulked away from everyone.
Today Leo was less chatty, he didn’t leave his room other than to get breakfast and join his brothers to help them with some things. These two things were more than enough to tell Leon his younger self was in a bad mood.
That is exactly why right now Leon was on his way to Leo’s room. He didn’t tell anyone else, since he knew how he used to be around on such days. Always hiding his negative emotions and keeping it to himself. Not wanting to share the hurt and make anyone else sad. Leon was worried that he wouldn’t talk to him either, but he had to try his chance. What were your future selves if not to help you when needed, right? Ignoring the 'annoying them till they start throwing stuff at you' part, of course.
He knocked the wall before opening the curtain and entering Leo’s room. As he expected, he found the boy sitting on his bed with legs crossed, his phone in his hand but his eyes blankly staring at the ground. Leon wasn’t even sure if he heard him coming. He most probably didn’t, considering how he flinched when Leon put his hand on his shoulder and sat next to him.
 “Hey, pequeñin ,” He said as he kept his voice low and smiled softly.
 Leo gave him a confused look before smirking. “Hey, anciano .”
 The older turtle rolled his eyes, but said nothing. He wasn’t here to jokingly bicker with his younger self. “Haven’t seen you around a lot today.”
 “Eh, got stuff to watch and catch up.” Leo shrugged.
  Lies. “Ah, so feeling blue , huh?” Leon stated the fact, but not without smirking at his word choice.
 “Blue suits me well after all.” Leo replied casually, with a wink and matching smirk.
 Leon felt himself relax a bit, at least his younger self felt comfortable enough to open up with how he was feeling to him, even if it was in the form of joking. “Has no one ever told you being this blue is too much?” Leon asked.
 “I thought you’d know the answer already, considering we share the same sixteen years of the past.” Leo answered.
 “Heh, you’re right. How did I miss that?”
 The two sat on the bed for some seconds, enough for Leo to slowly lean towards his bed frame and for Leon to come up with a quick plan to repaint Leo’s mood.
 As he got up he said “I’ll be right back, and don’t worry I’m not bringing anyone.” to Leo. The other was quiet, only watching him leave.
 Leon’s first destination was the living room. The last place he had seen Leo’s tablet (which he probably had forgotten to pick it up yesterday). Entering in, he saw it was still on the same spot as before. The room was empty, nobody other than Splinter who was enjoying his usual commercials. Leon smiled at the nostalgic scenery. No matter how long passed since he returned to the past, he still couldn’t get used to the fact he once again was back at home. Back to the casual chaotic life he had before the apocalypse. The little simple things would forever make him feel warm.
 After picking up the tablet, he walked towards his next destination: His room. Or rather his, Future Mystic Hands’ (they really needed a shorter ‘official’ nickname that both Mikeys would accept) and Case’s room. He took the extra blankets (Mikey Two wouldn’t need them anytime soon) and left.
 Next up was the kitchen, which was the final room to visit before returning to Leo’s room. As he came close to the entrance he heard the chatter. Casey, Donnie and April’s laughter filled the kitchen. The three were sitting on the chairs, mugs of three different kinds of drinks on the table. Casey was the first one to notice him: “Hi Sensei!”
 "Hey Case," Leon ruffled the boy's hair as he walked by him. Casey grumbled in protest, but Leon could see his grin. What a hypocrite.
 "Will you join us Big Blue?" April asked with a smile, "Mikey's made hot cocoa."
 "Sorry guys, got other plans."
 "What other plans?" Casey questioned, raising a bow.
 "Finally catching up on some TV series." He answered.
 "All by yourself?" April asked.
 Leon got two mugs. "Yeah, myself and I."
 "I see, you mean you and Leo ." Donnie pointed out. "And here Future Boy was telling us some future stories."
 Leon turned to squint at Casey. "What kind of future stories?"
 "Ummmmm…" Casey looked away. Bad sign. A very bad sign.
 "Nothing you should worry about." April said and sipped from her cocoa.
 "Somehow this makes me worry even more." Leon deadpanned. Then he turned back to what he was doing.
 Donnie smirked, "You'll most likely find out soon anyways."
 That could only mean an embarrassing story. But hey, two could play that game. "Well, maybe you'll find out more future stories too."
 "Oh ho ho, tell us all of them man." April sounded excited to learn more embarrassing stories. Leon couldn't blame her, there were a lot of crazy silly things going on even in the doomed future.
 "Maybe not all of them." Casey chipped in, looking with somewhat pleading eyes to his sensei.
 "Perhaps." Leon replied, meanwhile finishing with preparing the tray with the snacks, leftover pizza and hot cocoa mugs. "But not yet."
 "Leaving us at cliffhanger?" April huffed.
 "I didn't even start saying anything."
 "The trailer was enough."
 Leon grinned, "Soon in the lair… stories from the future." He said dramatically.
 "Three V.I.P. tickets, please." Donnie said after sipping his probably way too sweet coffee. "For the premiere."
 "We accept payment with story sharing." Leon smirked.
 "Deal. Junior shared plenty."
 "Sweet."
 Leon turned to look at his protégé. Casey watched with confusion. Then Leon realized that the boy didn't know– or rather didn’t remember. "Do you remember cinemas, Case?"
 "Yes?" His eyes shined brightly the moment he connected the dots, "Oh!"
 "...Future didn't have cinemas." Donnie announced his own findings as he thought out loud. "I hadn't considered that."
 "I believe you guys can fill him with some culture of the present?" Leon asked.
 "Of course, there's so much for the Future Boy to discover!" April got her arm around Casey's neck and pulled him closer. Casey smiled, putting down his mug of tea to side hug her.
 It was good to see the boy had gotten better at being relaxed. Being always on alarm was a hard habit to break from after everything he went through.
 As the three began talking about all the places and things his future lacked, Leon left the kitchen and headed back to Leo's room.
 The boy was now under the blanket. Leon could tell that he still was on his phone from the subtle light.
 "Hot cocoa delivery," Leon announced.
 "Mikey's?" Leo asked from the spot he was in.
 "Yep."
 He peeked and then reached to him, "Gimme!"
 Leon gladly gave him one of the mugs. "If you come out we can share the snacks."
 This perked Leo's interest a bit more. He squirmed out of the blanket, no more laying on the bed. He noticed the rest of what Leon collected on his short trip in the lair.
 Leon took his place next to him and wrapped the blankets he brought around them. He placed the snacks and pineapple pizza between them, and the tablet in front of them. "What do you wanna watch?"
 Leo shrugged, "Dunno."
 Good thing Leon was still a Leo. He knew what his comfort movies were and he could use this to his advantage. “Kung Fu Panda?”
“Sure. Are we doing a marathon?” Leo asked.
“You bet. After all, it has been a while since I last saw them.” Leon grinned. He barely could remember the movies, or the days he would watch them with his family thanks to Donnie, in the middle of the apocalypse. He really hoped they could do that again, just not in an apocalyptic situation.
Leo looked at him, with a glint of sadness. He quickly looked away towards the screen. “You better plan watching Secrets of the Scroll too, then.” He said. Voice completely normal, as if it wasn’t him who was hiding under blankets a short while ago.
“You know I will.” Leon hummed. He hadn’t missed that look, and he would help himself. “Before that… is there something you want to talk about? You seemed like you wanted to say something a second ago.”
He seemed uncertain for a moment, “Ah, no. Nope.”
“Are you sure?” Leon knew that this was a lie. “Because whatever you say, stays between us.”
“Yeah, yeah… just…” Ah, there it was. “Remember last night’s patrol?” He said a bit quietly.
Leon nodded, “Yeah. Didn’t you guys end up kicking Stockboy’s butt?”
“Yes… but…” Leo pulled his legs towards himself. “I almost failed.” He whispered.
“But you didn’t.” Leon pointed out, urging his younger self to talk.
“But I almost did!” Leo repeated. His hold on the mug tightened.
“And why is it a problem?” Leon questioned, genuinely. He wanted to know why Leo found it such a big problem.
“Because the last time I failed, everyone I loved almost died .”
Leo sounded so tired, and equally panicked. And Leon couldn’t even blame him. Not when he did the same thing. Not when he did lose them. Not when he froze once he heard the words.
Leo took a breath, “Sorry, I… I didn’t mean to. I…”
Leon looked at him. The boy he once was. So young, sad, broken… Unfairly punished by a cruel fate. And never ever let himself relax, to be seen weak. Especially after the apocalypse. After losing so much. After becoming a leader, responsible for whatever is left. This boy had almost experienced it. He almost had the same life as him. And even though he managed to escape the hell, he still was suffering from it. Even though he literally had sacrificed himself, he had given his everything to save everyone, he was still hurting thinking of what could’ve been. Of what happened.
And, oh, how unfair that was.
  He put his mug aside, then gently took the mug Leo was holding from his hands (who looked at him confusedly) and put it next to his. Then he pulled the boy into a tight hug. “It is okay, Leo.” He said, voice small but powerful. “It has passed, everything will be alright.”
“But what if I make another mistake? What if everything goes bad again, because of me ?” Leo responded, his voice trying to stay strong but clearly close to breaking.
“You will make mistakes.” Leon said. “You will make so many of them. Just like I did. Even after everything that happened. Even when I was a leader.” He pushed away the memories full of pain, regret, and shame that creeped from the back of his mind. He had learned to accept them, once he had time to recover and focus on himself. Or rather he was learning to, it was a hard process to return to what you had locked to survive. He didn’t want Leo to do something similar, or let his fear destroy him. “And you know what? It is amazing that you make mistakes. It means you are trying something new. You are trying to be better. To learn. That you realize them means you are trying to learn from them.”
“And what if I don’t have time to learn from them the next time I make a mistake?” Leon knew Leo had shut his eyes and was doing his best to not let everything out, to not break in front of him. He was holding Leon tightly too.
“You will have time. Trust me.” Leon affirmed. “After all, what is important is the fact that you are trying. You aren’t giving up. You are trying to be better. And I am so proud of you.” He broke the hug and looked at his eyes. “I know you think otherwise, but you are actually a much cooler dude than me. You are even teaching me new stuff every day.”
Leo smiled a bit, a shaky one. “How so?”
“You were the one to remind me what I always fought for, you are the one to remind me who I was– or rather, I am .” Leon smiled at him. “You are beating yourself up for something impossible, and while I know it is hard to not to do so, I also know you are strong, Leo. And you are never alone.”
And with those words, Leo finally let himself relax and smile. Then Leon saw as tears fell, right before Leo hugged him tightly. He didn’t say anything, but he didn’t really have to. Leon knew how much it meant to be reminded of having someone by your side even at the worst times. For someone to confirm even when the world felt like it was ending (which was not an unfamiliar concept for both of them, sadly) things would turn out well. So he held the boy, until he stopped crying and shaking, letting everything out after who knows how long.
When Leo broke the hug and sat, leaning to Leon instead of his bed, Leon patted his head. “How blue are you feeling?” He asked, handing back now luke warm hot cocoa. Somehow, they hadn’t gone cold, which to be honest was weird.
“Less than before.” Leo smiled. “I never had thought I’d end up getting hugs from my older self, but here you are.”
“Isn’t it insane?” Leon replied with a smirk.
“It is.” Leo grinned. Then he added. “Thank you.”
“Don’t even mention it.” Leon replied. “Now drink your cocoa and get ready, because I want to watch Kung Fu Panda.”
Leo grinned. “Sure thing, old man.”
“No, even after those hugs? You are cruel.” Leon teased.
“Those are just facts.” Leo smirked. Then he sipped the hot cocoa, “Mmm, this is good.”
“I bet it is.” Leon said as he sipped his. Oh, it was even better than he remembered it to be. “It really is…” He nodded. He had missed this so much.
“So are we watching the movies or..?” Leo asked, a fake hastiness in his tone.
Leon laughed, “Yeah, let’s start.” He grinned as he opened the movie.
He didn’t think much of it, but he was grateful for Leo. He wouldn’t ever talk about it, but those words he told his younger self? He needed to hear them too. He had forgotten them. He may have had his family back, but still sometimes it was hard to remember things weren’t always bad. That things would be okay in the end, and that he wouldn’t ever be alone.
So in the end of the day, both blue masked turtles had ended up feeling better– or as they would call it, less blue.

Hi! I love your account so much and how it's based for TMNT which makes me so happy! If requests are still available I would like to request a Bayverse Turtles headcanon helping their s/o move into their new apartment or in the liar with them. Thank you so much for having this amazing account and for having an amazing work! ☺️🥺💗
PERIOD I GOT YOU💜💜💜 thank you so much!
If y’all haven’t noticed already, I have a really, really bad habit of writing too much, where I could turn a headcanon/Oneshot into a full-fledged fic. But this was later requested as just headcanons! I hope you enjoy!
PS guys- Don’t be shy to request just one turtle! Especially Raph, since I’ve gotten used to writing him very well :)
PPS, please see my bio to know if requests are open or not! I won’t like beat you up or scold if you request something while they’re closed LMAO it’ll just take way longer for me to get to it :,)
==========
TMNT Headcanons: Moving their S/O into the Lair + Their New APT!
Leonardo
Tumblr media
- Leonardo takes it upon himself to move you into the lair. Of course, he runs it by Splinter first. He defends your name like his life depends on it.
- Because, that’s just how Leo operates, he talks highly of you, especially to his father.
- He defends you, because, although Splinter has heard of you only a handful of times, he has yet to meet you. Leonardo knew what potential danger would await you if you became invested into his family. As much as he knew the downfall of secrets, that’s what he had to do with you. Until it got to be too much.
- You were being watched. Leonardo had carelessly left your apartment window after another in-home date with you one night, only to be seen by a foot ninja. Word got back to Shredder, and he wanted you. He wanted to break you. To use you as a way to get to Leo, and then his master.
- Leonardo felt like absolute shit. He didnt mean to fuck your life up. Because, your life as you knew it, was fucked unless you either moved far away from Manhattan, or lived in the sewer.
- “I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if Y/n got taken by him, Father. I know, it’s my fault for this mess…for developing feelings, but…is that selfish of me? To love Y/n?”
- Master Splinter knows his son all-too-well. Leonardo has a history of constant selfless acts, that he almost never thinks about himself when it comes to his softer feelings. It’s not selfish of him. Its entirely normal for Leonardo and his brothers to feel loving feelings toward a human. It’s simply in their nature.
- So as Leonardo’s self-doubts are wiped away when his father puts a reassuring paw on his bicep, he knows he’s doing the right thing by bringing you down here. It isn’t selfish at all, he’s looking out for the ones he loves.
- So when you’re packing your bag, bringing the essentials for your stay in the Lair, you’re wondering if you’ll be welcomed. Your boyfriend hadn’t actually told Splinter until now.
- “Love, I'll come by in 5 minutes. Don’t go anywhere.”
- Leonardo sprints to your apartment window. He wants to get you to the lair quickly, and safely.
- You slide your window open when you hear the knocking- and you watch as Leonardo steps inside, only to embrace you into a big hug,
- He says that its his fault. His fault that you have to flee your own apartment. That you have to retreat to the sewers because moving to a different part of New York didnt sit right with you. That he understands- he understands if you hate him, that-
- Oh, Leo. Shut up.
- You shut him up with a kiss, and he scoops you up as your legs wrap around his waist. You both stay like this, enjoying the taste of each other, and knowing that you loved each other as much as you could imagine. You’re going to get through this together, and Leonardo makes a promise. That he will forever be devoted to you as long as you let him be. That he wouldn’t let anything bad happen to you, not while he’s still breathing.
- You wrap you arms tighter around his neck, and go in for another deep kiss before he put you down to get your things together.
- Once you get down there, you have to meet his family. Only Splinter knows. He knows that Leo has a secret, and it may upset Raphael.
- It does.
- “You always tha one talkin about keepin’ secrets, Leo! Now look, they’re a target!” Raph exclaims once Leonardo brings you into the Lair.
- Splinter took the liberty of filling in the other brothers, and Raphael didnt take it so well. He doesn’t think you’re a burden, but he’s just upset at his brother for not practicing what he preaches.
- But, it’s not Raph’s place. Splinter mediates the two of them before they get into a serious fight, and Raph storms off somewhere in the Lair. Leonardo will deal with him later. Right now, you’re his priority. Getting you comfortable, introducing you to his father, the whole 9 yards. You stand there awkwardly, feeling the tension in the air as you fiddle your fingers, wondering how his other brothers would react to you.
- Donatello is okay with it. He gets a new friend, and someone to talk to. He can’t complain. He understands the dangers of being wanted by the Shredder, He welcomes you with a firm handshake and brief introduction.
- Mikey is excited. Leo gave a glare when he hugged you after hearing you’d be staying in the lair for the next couple of months until everything is settled down. He doesn’t care- if anything, you’re someone he could talk to that’s not his brothers!
- You aren’t sure about Raph, he doesn’t seem to take it well, but when Leonardo (who, surprisingly, has a large room to fit another person in) helps you settle down in his room, Raphael softly knocks on his door. It may be that he felt as though he left a bad first impression for you, and he wants to change that.
- “It ain’t my choice. And I know coming down here is a last resort. I don’t want ya ta feel like ya walkin’ on eggshells ‘round here…cause of me.”
- Leonardo couldn’t be more grateful.
- He helps you unpack. He tries to mimic the way your room looks so you can feel more at-home. As the days go on and you go back to retrieve items Leo said to bring to “Y/n-ify” his room, it starts to feel like home.
- As you spend the nights sharing a bed with Leo (which by the way, was a major positive during this whole thing,) you come to terms with your relationship. It’s meant to be. He’s meant for you. Leo did this for you. What other guy would defy his fathers orders about humans and staying hidden (defiance was more Raph’s thing,) move you in, and stay by your side in all of this?
- Leonardo loves you. You’ve known this since you first started dating him in secret. But now, as you lay by his side, you realize you’ve fallen in love with the right turtle.
- Leonardo is not known for going against the beliefs about humans, but, he sometimes has to see it the way Mikey sees it. That some people in this world are meant to be intertwined with one another, and you were one of those people.
===================
Raphael
Tumblr media
- Raphael had convinced you to move to a nicer apartment complex in the city. It took some time, as you were just not in the mood to think about moving, but it was getting bad.
- The muggings, stabbings, shootings. Sure, you had 4 mutant turtles to come save the day, but they weren’t gonna be around to be your personal body guards ALL the time.
- “Baby, I’ll help ya an everythin,’ promise.” You didn’t need a promise from Raph. He helped you pack, he helped you take down those hard to reach pictures on your walls, you name it. He was there. You knew he would continue to stay by your side, as loyalty was a trait he possessed the moment he became comfortable enough to become friends with you. This loyalty continued even stronger, especially after he came to ask you to be his.
- He meant it when he said he would help. Of course, his brothers offered to as well, they were your friends. But, he tells them to stay home. He’ll help you himself. He wanted you to rely on him only.
- It’s very sweet of Raph to take it upon himself to help you out. You move out at nighttime, with the essentials packed last. As Raphael loads them onto the ShellRaiser to take to your new apartment.
- This is a nicer complex, and of course, everyone is asleep in the area during the time you move in. Choosing 2AM to do so was a great idea. You were able to take in the easy to carry boxes yourself, leaving Raph to haul up the heavier ones Via the fire escape without the risk of being seen.
- Hours pass, and by the time all the boxes are placed in your new living space, the sun is rising.
- The first thing you do is plop in your bed in your new apartment. Surrounded by boxes, you yawn and pull Raph down with you. The unpacking can wait. Right now, you want to sleep.
- You ask if he’s going back to the Lair, but he gives you a tired smirk.
- “Now why would I go home when I could be sleepin’ here wit ya?” He asks as he brings your body into his. Spooning was Raph’s favorite thing to do with you, he loved the feeling of his arms wrapped around your body. You were safe in them.
- Being alone with Raph. Since, well, it’s YOUR apartment. He comes over often, there’s no annoying brothers there. Just you and him together.
- Cuddling. Lots and lots of cuddling. Date nights usually happen in your apartment if they aren’t on a bike ride or stargazing (yes, big ol Raph likes a good stargaze.)
- There’s significantly less crime in your area. Raphael worries less- but that doesn’t stop him from patrolling around on your rooftop with his brothers. Leonardo is all for patrolling wherever, but spends less time in relatively safer places.
- Back to cuddling. As Raph gets more comfortable being in this new space, he finds nice cuddling spots for you both. If he had to choose, your couch is his favorite. Sure, he’s a big guy and that means less space, but, it forces you to be pushed up against his plastron. No complaints here, he loves it.
- You give him a spare key to your apartment window on your one year anniversary, because his home is your home. It’s only right. You have a home on the surface and in the sewer, and you wanted to give Raphael the same.
- He had the biggest smile on his face when he opened the little velvet box. When he picked up the silver key, he was over the moon.
- “Because…I want you to have it.”
- He kisses you so hard after. Nobody has ever done something that sweet for him. He loves it. He loves you. He totally loves you.

Donatello
Tumblr media
- okay, Donatello found a way into your heart. It was simple. So, so simple.
- He was just…there. Right place right time. It works out for the both of you. Donnie is known for going off to find scraps for his inventions. He usually goes to Best Buy’s and scans the area, usually they dump old parts in the trash.
- He finds you instead. Closing up said Best Buy.
- He falls in love. He’s known to do that. To fall in love very quickly. But, it’s worth it. You’re worth it.
- You see him while he’s dumpster diving for parts, and it’s shocking. Not scary, but, why would a mutant turtle be looking for parts?
- Anyway, that’s how you meet.
- He comes around more. He wants to get to know you more. Soon, you invite him into your apartment after more small conversations after your closing shifts beside the spare-parts dumpster. Even though he’s a mutant turtle, he doesn’t bother you. Nothing about him does. He comes through the fire escape every once and a while.
- You get to know each other more, and honestly, after a lot of hang outs and deep conversations with the tech savvy turtle in purple, you had developed feelings.
- You confess on impulse one night while watching a movie, and you leave Donatello in shambles. At a loss for words. He’s finally getting the thing he’s seen humans have. Love.
- He deserves it.
- Meeting his brothers. Donnie is absolutely terrible at keeping secrets, and once someone knows about them, he has to tell Leo.
- Leonardo warns him. That you may become a target if he stays around too long. But, he disagrees. Nobody would hurt you, would they?
- Ah, yes, they would.
- You come home to your apartment broken into, and absolutely wrecked. Nothing is stolen, but things are broken, tossed around.
- It’s a warning. A warning from God knows who.
- So when you call your boyfriend, he’s absolutely scared for your safety and comes over without a second thought.
- He sees a shuriken on the floor beside your bed, and he knows what he has to do.
- Donnie is nervous. But, he calls Leo. Although Leo’s furious at his brother for risking the safety of the family, he knows that keeping you safe is important. Nothing bad can happen to you.
- Leonardo brings Raph and Mikey. They have lots of questions, mostly about your relationship with their brother. You try to answer all of them until Donnie asks them to stop and focus on the bigger picture.
- Leonardo realizes the severity of the situation; and he calls his Sensei. To see what his options are.
- Living in the sewer. You’d have to stay in the sewer for a few. Until they got this thing sorted out between the Foot.
- Bayverse Leonardo can read people like a book. He sees through everything, even through you. He can tell you’re being truthful when you say you wouldn’t tell a soul. He’s inheriting Splinter’s intuition. And because of that, Splinter grants permission for you to stay in their home for a few despite not even meeting you.
- You meet him the second you get down in the sewer. He’s the one to thank, and as he smiles sincerely at you, he realizes he made the right choice. Donnie made the right choice to be with you.
- Settling down and getting to know Donnie’s family. He makes it very clear he’s dating you, and (although Raph refuses to believe Donnie until you share a kiss for proof.) that Mikey couldn’t get too flirty with you. He says he can’t makes any promises (that is, until, Raph knocks him upside the head)
- “They ain’t for ya, Mikey.” He says.
- I headcanon Raph is protective over Donnie- and he’ll help him out on date ideas.
- Anyway, Raph is pretty chill with you being around. If it brings happiness to Donnie, he’s more than okay with it.
- Splinter takes his time getting to know you. You tell him the story about how you met his son per his request. It’s sincere, and with due time, he accepts you as Donnie’s first. He’s betting that based on your aura and the way you talk about his son, you’ll be his only.
- Long nights up with your boyfriend. Donnie isn’t the best at keeping anyone but himself entertained with his work, but you find excitement in being his helper. If you wish to help him, he’ll be more than happy!
- You wind up cooking for him. Long gone is the pop tart diet, and in with some small homemade meals for him. He appreciates it everytime.
- You sleep in Donnie’s room, which is very clean. It looks as if he isn’t in there at all from how spotless it is, and that’s because he spends his time in the lab so much.
- Persuading Donnie to come to bed. He often will fall asleep in his lab, in an uncomfortable position. So, you sort of beg him to come sleep in the bed, like one normally would. He complies most of the time, because it means he gets to cuddle you.
- The months you spend in the lair fly by, and as soon as you know it, the turtles have taken care of the Foot. They won’t be bothering you anymore.
- But, is it bad that you sort of want them to? So you can stay longer?
- Donatello couldn’t be more happier spending this large chunk of time with you. He tells you while you’re packing to move back up in your apartment that they’ve been the best couple of months he’s ever had. He loves you.
- “It just showed me how easy it would be to live with you in the future. If we…have one that is…was that too much?”
- It’s not too much at all. You let him know this with a chaste kiss on the lips. It’s always hard to kiss Donnie because he’s so tall- but on your tip, tip, tippy toes, anything is possible.

Michelangelo
Tumblr media
- Like Raph, Mikey takes it upon himself to help you unpack and get settled into your new apartment. He wants you to rely on him for help, not his brothers.
- You were actually going to be roommates with April, since she sort of scared her other one away.
- She offers to help you unpack, but Mikey overhears this and yells to April that he’ll help you himself. After all, that was your boyfriend! What kind of boyfriend would he be if he didn’t help you unpack those heavy boxes?
- Anyway, April goes to visit Casey for the weekend, so that leaves you and Mikey having that time to unpack and goof around.
- You guys order pizza every night after a long day's work. Forget the calories, you deserved it. Plus, all that unpacking and lifting definitely was a workout.
- After Friday is spent opening everything and taking out the essentials, you plan for tomorrow.
- Saturday, Mikey helps you Mount your TV in your room. It’s nothing massive, just a small flat screen.
- He knows nothing about mounting TVs- that’s more Donnie’s and even Raph’s, it’s handiwork.
- So, as he tries to help you out (and fails miserably,) he calls up Donnie, who tells him that YouTube is the savior for all projects at home.
- After spending 1 full hour trying to read the instructions and getting nowhere, he gives in. He opens the YouTube video, and you guys follow along.
- It’s not a long process, but between Mikey losing the small screws around the floor and you putting the pieces in the wrong place, yeah, it takes longer than the YouTube video says it should be.
- That project alone took up the whole afternoon; so you spend the evening on the couch with Mikey splitting a pizza and watching a movie until you fall asleep.
- Sunday. Ugh.
- It was unpack everything that you didn’t do the two previous days, day.
- Michelangelo could tell you were exhausted from the previous two days, that he thinks about how he could alleviate your stress about today.
- “I got this Angelcakes, just sit your pretty self here while MIKEY takes care of it.” He says as he kisses your cheek. You can't say no to him now can you?
- Mikey takes it upon himself to do the rest of it. Honestly, he’s a ball of energy, so it’s only natural he’s not tired.
- He makes you sit and not help while he asks you where you want certain items placed. When you get to the rest of your clothes, you take the job of folding them while Mikey puts them in your drawers.
- You put the undergarments away yourself. Lord knows how that boy would act if he even caught a glimpse of them.
- He tells you what pieces of clothing he thinks look the cutest on you
- Spoiler: it’s all of them
1 Double spoiler: he really exaggerates which ones he thinks you should wear more often.
- “Wowwwww what I would give to see you comin’ down to the sewers wearing this babe! It’s cute!” He exclaims as he holds up a dress shirt. You take mental notes of what he likes a lot to make him happy.
- When he sees you smile at his antics, he can’t help but stop what he’s doing just to look at you.
- You were his- and between you and me, Bayverse Mikey always thought he would be alone. He always thought out of his brothers, Raph would be the one to get into a relationship first. He doesn’t know why, but he thinks it’s because of his personality. Some people like a bad boy. He never thought you would go for him. When you became friends with the turtles, he always thought you wouldn’t see him like that.
- Until you tell him. You confess to him, because, what do you have to lose? The worst Mikey could’ve said was no.
- But, he says yes; that he likes you too.
- And that dear readers, was the start of a very fun relationship with the Orange banded turtle.
- He remembers the events leading up to your confession that day, and he walks up to you sitting on the bed and just kisses you.
- He kisses you often, it’s actually something he really likes to do, because you let him.
- He saves the long and sensual kisses for moments like these, when he’s in the lovey-dovey mood more than usual.
- You just looked so cute sitting on the bed like that with your cute little smile and, God, he had to.
- You stay like this for a while. Mikey’s lips on yours, and you couldn’t ask for anything better than this.
- Anyways, the clothes are put away, the posters are up, the shelves are in place, and most importantly, it’s done.
- The annoying move is done! Thanks to Mikey, it wasn’t nearly as stressful as you thought it would be.
- So, you thank him.
- “I can always rely on you, Mikey. Thanks so much for helping me through all of this.” You say as you pull him in for another kiss just before he leaves to go back home.
- You hope April and Casey become a thing, so you’ll have the apartment to yourself more often. It means you and Mikey could have proper date nights alone together, and you couldn’t wait.

➤ ➤ ➤ PRE-SERIES
An Act of Yokai Kindness by BiographyDivider
2,834 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Splinter & The Boys
Genre: Fluff, Angst
“Okay, boys,” Lou Jistu said, kneeling down to look his gaggle of sons in the face. “What are our Topside Rules?”
“Hats on all the time,” Blue said, pulling his beanie down a little further.
“Or hoods,” Purple chimed in, scowling at his brother for forgetting that he liked a big hood, not a tight hat. Lou nodded.
“And jackets buttoned up too, right? To your chinny-chin-chins?”
A darling little fic about Splinter taking the boys on a trip to the local library—what might be their last trip, as it’s become increasingly difficult to pass them off as human. Features both Turtle Tot goodness and some absolutely on-point Splinter characterization, and is just all around wholesome.
Coming of Age, Coming to Terms by Drifting_Andromeda
4,018 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Leonardo & Splinter, Ensemble
Genre: Family Bonding, Fluff
“Huh.” Was all he said, which made Splinter chuckle.
“That’s not the reaction I was expecting.” The rat admitted.
“Really? What were you expecting?”
“Oh I don’t know, maybe some more denial? I was definitely in denial when I first realized I was attracted to men.”
Leonardo realizes something about himself on his 12th birthday, but struggles putting those feelings to words. Thankfully, his dad is there to both offer support and help him sort it out.
Cradled Close by Poppyseed20
2,903 words, 2/2 chapters
Character Focus: Splinter & Leonardo, Ensemble
Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Fluff
He looked up to the ceiling. “Can you believe it, mother? Your crazy little Yoshi who ran around causing trouble… and thought his call in life was to be a stupid movie star... He’s—” He again looked down at the little one in his arms, warm tears beginning to blur his vision.
He hiccuped. “He’s a father. And he loves his babies so much. Isn’t that crazy?”
Just Splinter reflecting on fatherhood and how much he loves his sons, while he tends to a sick Leo at two different points in time. The first chapter is pre-series, while the second flashes into the present.
It’s a Lovely Evening in Your Former Home, and You Are a Horrible Rat by nimagine
2,494 words, 1/1 chapters
Character Focus: Splinter & The Boys, w/ a cameo from Marcus Moncrief
Genre: Humor, Action
“Oh, my poor rat spleen,” Splinter wheezes. He sucks in his stomach, but he still can’t get himself unstuck from the window of the second-story bathroom.
Sure, he may have recently gone from being a tortilla chip on stilts to a bowling ball on much shorter stilts, but he can’t be blamed for that. He can probably be blamed for putting all his children in a hard plastic cat backpack, though, which is contributing to his current predicament.
Splinter exhales until he’s dizzy and slithers down onto the floor like a disappointing tsuchinoko, groaning. The bathroom, like the rest of the house, is full of official Lou Jitsu merch, from shower curtains to branded toothpaste.
“Okay, that was mortifying,” he groans to the tiny turtles peering out of the cat backpack’s porthole window. “The hardest part is over. Papa will be done with his heist soon, and then you can go back to destroying the truck’s upholstery.”
Set shortly after being mutated and escaping Draxum, Splinter brings his kids along on a daring heist—robbing his own house. I about bust a gut the first time I read this, this fic captures Rise’s chaotic energy to a tee.
Trust is a Thing With a Shell (and a paintbrush) by Chaos_Breeds
2,647 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Michelangelo & his brothers
Genre: Fluff, Family Bonding
Mikey lit after his task with unparalleled joy. He traced the crevices with broad strokes, painting each scale a different color highlighting every little crack and imperfection. He was sloppy, of course, but it wasn’t too different than painting on the brick walls or the rough floors.
In fact, the hardest part was-
“Leo, quit moving!” Mikey whined, though he couldn’t stop smiling. Leo fidgeted in place again, raising one hand to cover his mouth.
“Sorry,” he giggled, muffled. “It just tickles so much!”
A story that explores both Mikey’s love of art and how perceptive he can be, as he convinces his brothers to let him paint their shells over the years. This fic is as fluffy as it is insightful, and sure to put a smile on your face.
➤ ➤ ➤ NEBULOUS TIME
brothers = den mothers by Werepirechick
3,510 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: The Brothers
Genre: Fluff, Family Bonding
“Ey! Wall breakers!” Raph bellows at the vehicle. “Who the hell are you, and what the hell do you want?”
“We really don’t have anything decent to steal, if that’s what you’re here for,” Leo adds, cupping his mouth to get his voice to carry. “Well. Donnie’s lab has some okay stuff. You can have that.”
A disgruntled green and purple head pokes around the corner of the broken wall. “Excuse you,” Donnie says irritably, “we do not offer my lab’s contents to hypothetical robbers, Leo.”
“Hey, guys!” Mikey cheers, popping out next to Donnie. He beams at them, covered in dust and band-aids. “We’re home!”
Raph and Leo welcome Donnie and Mikey home after their long adventure during the events of “Repo Mantis”, and much joy ensues. The whole of the fic is built on heartwarming sibling interactions that nail their mark.
Consequences by Chaos_Breeds
1,514 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Donatello & his brothers
Genre: Humor, Family Drama
You’re about to sneak out - because forget this, honestly, you don’t get enough overtime to be worth it - when a loud crack splits the air. Whirling around, startled and on edge, because that can’t have been-
It was.
The fourth turtle grinned from the doorway, eyes flashing white against the nighttime background. His purple armor practically glowed with something otherworldly, humming in the air around him.
And in his arms, aimed towards the ceiling, was a shotgun.
“I’m here for my brothers,” Purple announced, deadpan.
To borrow the author’s summary: ‘The one in which you’re a henchman, Donnie’s brothers have been kidnapped, and Donnie’s got a shotgun.’ Need I say more??
The Disappearance of Donatello’s Eyebrow by Monobrobe
881 words, 1/1 chapters
Character Focus: Donatello & his brothers
Genre: Humor
“Actually, Donnie, there’s something you should know…”
Donnie turned his head towards the youngest with a strained smile. “Yes, Mikey?”
Mikey pressed his fingers together sheepishly. “Leo didn’t steal your eyebrow. It left.”
Donnie’s nonexistent eyebrows (he refused to wear his mask with one AWOL) twitched. “I beg your pardon?”
One of Donnie’s eyebrows goes missing, and the cause behind it has the energy of a soap opera. This fic is pure crack, and I mean that in the best way.
family game night by Werepirechick
3,182 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: April & The Family
Genre: Humor, Family Bonding
“Soooo, Donnie raised an undead thrall, again,” April says in a slightly loud voice, getting them all back on track. “You’ve defeated multiple enemies to get to this point, have burned up your only map of the tunnel system-”
“Sorry,” Raph says sheepishly, the cleric responsible for that fireball attack which burnt up a previous enemy, who’d had the map.
“-and unless you rescue the mayor’s wife and return the Stone of Spring to the village, you’ll probs never be allowed in this hood ever again. Whatcha gonna do, boys?”
The gang plays D&D! It’s impressively unhinged, and how they got as far in their campaign as they did is anyone’s guess. An absolute riot.
Five Thousand Pieces Jupiter Jim Movie Poster Jigsaw Puzzle by ReptileRuler
2,753 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Raphael & Donatello, w/ Leonardo
Genre: Family Bonding
“Sure!” Leo said, “Tell on us to Raph! We still didn’t take your stupid puzzle!”
Donnie’s eyebrows drew together. “We’ll see about that…”
He backed away with his weapon still pointed at a very annoyed Leonardo. As soon at he was out of sight, Donnie turned and rushed to Raph’s room.
“Raph! Leo stole my puzzle box and he won’t give it ba-“
Donnie froze. Raph froze, too, sitting on his floor, with approximately five thousand puzzle pieces strewn around him in a big mess.
“I can explain!”
Donnie teaches Raph all the tips and tricks to solving a jigsaw puzzle, and then they stay up all night working on it together. A sweet fic that makes you look at Raph as more than just the brawn, as well as showcases Donnie’s softer side.
Hermano de Mierda by BiographyDivider
2,788 words, 1/1 chapters
Character Focus: Donatello & Leonardo, Donatello & Michelangelo
Genre: Family Drama, Family Bonding
“Get some sleep,” he said, palming the top of Mikey’s head. “You know Raph’ll have us up for training at seven.”
“You’re gonna make up with Leo too, right?”
“Right…right.”
He would, probably without ever bringing the fight up again. Leo would just hand him a video game controller, or bring up some old in-joke they had, and that would be that.
“Sleep well, little brother.”
“Nighty night. Donnie?”
“Hm?”
“You’re not a shitty brother.”
After a squabble with Leo, Donnie gets stuck on being called a selfish weirdo, and sets to prove his brother wrong. Features some subtle, but thoughtful introspection into Donnie’s character, and a truly adorable moment of him doting on his baby brother. The resolution is also pitch perfect.
High Expectations by McGoogleheim
4,114 words, 1/1 chapters
Character Focus: Donatello & his brothers
Genre: Family Bonding, Hurt/Comfort
"Oof, back of the line," Leo patted Donnie's shoulder. "Sorry, bud."
"Are you kidding?" Donnie beamed. "With nobody behind me, I'll have all the time I want with Atomic Lass!"
"You sure you're gonna be ok here by yourself?" asked Raph, tucking his space helmet under his arm. "Cuz we could wait with you—"
"Affirmative. Now go! Shoo shoo! I'll be finished faster than the half-life of Ununtrium!" Donnie waved off his bros, teeming with excitement. He watched the fans climb onto the other autograph stages, where they shook hands and snapped photos with their favorite artists and performers. Soon, that would be him and Atomic Lass; the very thought of it made Donnie absolutely jazzed!
When a meet-and-greet with Atomic Lass’ actress goes poorly (to put it lightly), it’s up to Donnie’s brothers to cheer him up. Seeing Donnie get so excited just for it all to come crashing down is a genuine ouch, which makes the way his brothers show how much they care about him all the more heartwarming.
To Carry You Home by McGoogleheim
1,503 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Raphael & his brothers
Genre: Fluff, Hurt/Comfort
"Hey! He's waking up!" Mikey called over his shoulder, "Raph? Can you hear me? Blink once for 'yes' and twice for 'no'!"
Raph could've sworn his eyes crossed before he managed to blink slowly in response, "Ugh... how're you guyss s-standin' on the ceiling like that?" He slurred, dazed yet impressed with their latest ninja ability.
"Well, for starters, we aren't on the ceiling," Donnie informed, "You are upside down."
A role-swap, of sorts. Raph is always carrying around his brothers, so the author gives them a turn to carry Raph. Just some old-fashioned, big brother gets a turn to be mother-henned goodness.
➤ ➤ ➤ SEASON 2 (SET DURING OR AFTER)
Crumbling Cardboard Box by Drifting_Andromeda
3,061 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Michelangelo & Leonardo (Mikey-centric), Ensemble
Genre: Hurt/Comfort (of the emotional variety)
For the first two weeks his plan was working well, then all of a sudden it wasn’t.
He was unsure if the dread and anxiety had been building and he hadn’t noticed or if one nightmare on a Tuesday night jolted his senses when he woke up. Either way, he was now battling with his own negative emotions.
Everyone was so worried about a million other things though, so he did his best to deal with it himself. A bit hypocritical, considering how preachy he had been to his other family members about sharing their own emotions and asking others for help, but he was Dr. Feelings! He could handle this on his own.
In the meantime he continued to cook and hug and make sure everyone else was feeling better than he did.
In the aftermath of Shredder’s attack, Michelangelo struggles with moving pains. This comes to a head when the family finally gets a chance to go back to their old lair to see what’s salvageable. Some gentle hurt/comfort, for when things aren’t okay but will be—eventually.
Letter of Recommendation by swordfright
4,311 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Draxum & Michelangelo, Draxum & Splinter
Genre: Humor, Fluff
“What?! Baron, c’mon, this is no joke! If you don’t pay your rent, you’ll be back on the streets!” He shook a green limb one final time for emphasis. “The mean streets of the city!”
Draxum raised one eyebrow. It was an impressive skill, even by warrior scientist standards. “I have already paid the humans their paltry tithe.”
Michelangelo facepalmed. “No, dude, the rent is due every month. You gotta keep paying it.”
At that, Draxum felt the familiar sting of incredulity. “What, over and over again with no end in sight?”
Michelangelo gave him a thumbs-up sign. “Welcome to capitalism, babeyy.”
Draxum clenched his fist in defiance and fury. “I see…” he rumbled, “...we live in a society.”
“Nah,” said Michaelangelo, cheer recovered. “You live in a society. I live in a sewer.”
Oh Draxum, my beloved. I have a soft spot for reformed goatman, and this fic helped scratch the itch. Set between “Repairin’ the Baron” and “Mystery Meat”, Mikey helps Draxum craft a resume in a plot that could be ripped straight from the show, and their banter is perfect—as is Splinter’s indignation when he’s called in as a reference. If you’re looking for a good time, you’ll find one here.
playtime by mad_and_thick_as_thieves
2,707 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Donatello & Leonardo, Ensemble
Genre: Horror, Crossover
Mommy's arm stretches, not once letting the Leo puppet go but lowering him down enough to meet their eyes. This close, the wooden carving and glossy sheen are clear. It's not Leo, not quite. But—
“Obey the rules,” he says darkly. Still smiling. Staring into Donnie. “Or we'll tear you apart and eat your insides. While you're still alive.”
And then they're gone, giggling manically into the shadows.
Donnie makes a vow.
The pink bitch dies.
The turtles walk into an abandoned toy factory from hell, and Donnie’s on a mission to save his brother. This is a light crossover, but you don’t need any knowledge of the other series (Poppy Playtime) to enjoy it. In fact, I’d say not knowing even adds to the horrific ambiance; not knowing anything about the villain used from it only made her more terrifying to me. Puppet!Leo is also delightfully creepy.
Sweet Sixteen by JustAndrea
1,961 words, 1/1 chapter
Character Focus: Raphael & Splinter, Ensemble
Genre: Fluff, Family Bonding
“Hm? Oh yes yes, I’m fine... So, how are you feeling, my son?” Splinter asked, “Sixteen is a pretty big milestone, after all.”
“Heh, I’m good. ...Honestly, it doesn’t feel all that different from fifteen” Raph replied. Thinking about it, he added, “Maybe ‘cause a bunch of stuff has already happened in the past year?” He was now officially a year older, yeah, but it felt like he had already done plenty of changing and growing before then.
Who would’ve thought that he would be given mystic weapons (and later mystic powers), learn about his dad’s past, take down several city-ending threats, meet the spirits of his ancestors, and become a hero alongside his family and friends all before his next birthday? That whole situation was... pretty crazy to think about. Amazing, yeah, but definitely still crazy. In that sense, maybe a more normal and lowkey birthday was just what he needed.
Just a sweet moment of reflection, as Raph celebrates his birthday and spends some quality time with his father. Set post-the Season 2 finale.
what’s left of the candle without its ends by catatonicatnap
3,210 words, 2/2 chapters
Character Focus: Michelangelo & Leonardo
Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Family Bonding
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, Mikey would like less than to draw right now. But he needs it. Needs the pen, needs the paper, needs to make something. Needs to make. Needs to make sure he still can.
Just draw, he wills himself. Just do something, you’ll warm up, and the rest will come easy like it always does.
But every time he puts pencil to paper and starts scribbling, it comes out stiff, and unfeeling, and a shadow of the work he did at the lair— the work he’s never going to see again, not ever, because it’s gone.
Mikey goes through artistic burnout, and Leo helps him work through it. Just a little bit of angst perfectly balanced by brotherly support, and a great exploration of the creative process.

It is good, the creature knows, to be Kraang.
There is no conflict, no struggle, no search for identity or meaning outside of being Kraang. The creature is Kraang and its family is the Kraang (no they aren’t) and its sole purpose is to protect and serve (no it isn’t) and kill for (they’re not my family) and die for (not for them never for them) its family (they are not my family my family is not them) the Kraang.
An exploration of Raph’s time as a Krang enforcer, and how he comes back from it. The events are all from the movie, but reframed through Raph’s perspective as he’s being controlled and it’s a nice study of his character.

There's a popular myth that twins are 'linked' from conception to death. They can read each other's minds, feel the other's pain etcetera, which is all bullshit. Leo, again, had insisted otherwise until Donnie had tested that theory with the business end of his staff against Leo's skull. He hadn't brought it up again after that.
Then Leo disappears through a portal in the sky.
And Donnie feels him leave.
A small collection of snippets throughout Leo and Donnie’s lives over the years, as the latter reflects on the benefits and drawbacks of being twins. Fluffy and bittersweet all at once, with a happy ending.

The people that Casey loved were real. They raised him, and risked everything to save him—to send him back to a better, brighter place. And he carried their hope and determination with him every step of the way here. Now he can put all of that down, but that just leaves him with nothing but his empty hands.
Raphael has cried a lot today already, but this just about sends him over the edge all over again.
Set immediately after the business on Staten Island, the family drives home and Raph looks after a too-quiet Casey. A lot of tender family moments ensue, and the author has a great grasp on everyone’s voices as the rest of the family flits around in the background.

With everything that’s happened recently, the invasion, saving the world, almost dying, Leo has become more and more aware of how little he hangs around Donnie, just the two of them. With the knowledge that Donnie died in Casey’s future, that he lost his twin, it hits him hard. Especially in the middle of the night, when his thoughts can linger and his mind can spiral into an endless torrent of misery.
Leo doesn’t know what to do with that knowledge. Leo doesn’t know what to do anymore, besides set it aside and hope, pray to whatever God there may be that he doesn’t conjure up any more unnecessary images that will haunt his dreams.
Donnie has withdrawn somewhat since the invasion. Leo’s love language is physical affection, and he misses spending time with him. They have a hear-to-heart and are there for each other, and I am so soft for this fic.

“Hey, D?” His big brother leaned in close. “Thanks for always believing in me.”
Donatello pressed his lips together, forcing the tears back into his eyes.
“Seriously, thanks.” Raph continued. “You’re right, I did always want to do this hero thing, and I insisted on dragging the rest of you into it. That entire time I kept questioning it. Like, was I really cut out for this? As a big brother I was always in charge of you three, but it’s so much different when you get out there. I was never good at coming up with plans, or thinking logically or—”
“You’re not stupid.” Donatello interrupted and finally looked at Raph. “Maybe you aren’t good with math, or physics, but who cares? You’re smart about the stuff that matters.”
Donnie has a problem with Leo’s leadership—or is it so simple? An exploration on love, loyalty, and change.

The funny thing is, Raph barely remembers.
He has... feelings of the time he'd spent as a zombified slave, intents and ideals fed into him like sludge through a straw—the Krang are superior, you are the proof of our might, you will serve us well, squash them, kill it, kill him, KILL HIM—
(He thinks, sometimes, he can still hear it; the sweet nothings of violence the Krang had promised, a seat by the throne built over the bodies of millions, the corpses of his family.)
His left eye saw flashes of what his body was doing, moving to the whim of another, smashing and slicing without restraint, but nothing concrete.
Not until he had Leo struggling to speak, to breathe with his hand (tentacle) wrapped around his throat.
That part is crystal clear.
Weeks after the invasion, Raph and Leo finally talk things out. If you came out of the movie loving it but wishing the writers had given us a little more resolution between the two of them, this fic is a must-read that pulls on the heartstrings and absolutely delivers on the emotional catharsis.

One of Raph's quirks, one he had never deeply considered, as second nature as it was, was biting.
Whenever he’d become so overwhelmed with affection for his family that he felt like it was going to get too big for his body, he’d clamp down on the closest available body part, squeezing enough for his family to feel the pressure of it, but never enough to break their skin. Never enough to actually hurt them. It’s just something that Raph did. A quirk that no one even blinks at anymore.
So yeah. It’s a harmless quirk, Raph’s affectionate biting.

“Ah but wait a second Leo I didn’t tell you about the game!!” Donnie blurted out.
Leo stopped. “Game?” he asked, looking back over his shoulder.
“Yes, uh – yes yes yes, the game,” Donnie babbled, lunging at the PopMeister and grabbing a bottle to gesture with. “The game we can’t play without you. The rules…are…that we each make a soda for another member of the team. A bespoke drink, catered to their exact specifications – flavours, carbonation level, whatever you feel like your team partner would prefer. We, uh – yes, we mark them out of ten. Whoever makes the highest graded soda wins!”
He beamed at his brother – too widely to be real, a bead of sweat already forming at his temple. Raph and Mikey looked between the two of them, gaze ping-ponging back and forth, breath held tight in their chests. Leo turned.
“One game,” he bargained, walking back towards Donnie, prodding his finger in his brother’s chest. “One, okay?”
After the invasion, Leo pushes himself to become a more serious leader. The rest of the turtles just want their brother back, though, and resort to desperate measures to get him to spend some quality time with them again. A light-hearted fic about the road to recovery.

The sigh Donnie let out was so long, so tired. “Dad, I know what you’re doing.”
Splinter bit his cheek. “What do you mean?”
“This whole… thing.” He waved a hand around. “Reading to us, skateboarding, training, painting… like what? Did Leo almost dying make you realize how distant you’ve been lately?”
He raised an eyebrow. “Yes?”
Donatello glared at him and pulled his goggles back over his eyes.
Splinter sighed. “Donatello, I’m not sure what you want me to say.”
“I want you to just go back to normal.” His son snapped. “You don’t have to… pretend to care about all this stuff. It just hurts more when I know it’s not genuine.”
Splinter’s not immune to trauma leftover from the thwarted Krang invasion. After realizing how close he came to losing his boys, Splinter strives to be a better father and close the distance between them, but with Donatello, is it too little too late? “I’m not-” he doesn’t know what he’s not. Not going back down? Not being dangerous? “I’m not angry.” Oh, he thinks. He hadn’t really meant to say that, it doesn’t feel quite true either.
Don sits beside him, not looking at him which is nice. Donnie doesn’t like emotional stuff but he’s still always there, just to make sure they don’t feel like they’re dealing with it alone. It’s so sweet, his brothers are the sweetest. He’s so mad at them, he realizes. He’s furious.
“It’s okay to be angry,” Don says half on an exhale. “If you are, anyways.”
He’s not, but he’s also livid. He’s shaking with it but he’s sad. The big bright things in his chest are clattering stars and they’re making riptides of gravity wells and mini apocalypses. There’s too much noise in there, it’s impossible to pin down or think around.
Leo nearly sacrificed everything for his brothers, and Mikey’s not okay with that actually. The exploration of Mikey’s anger and hurt is expertly done, and nails the whole quiet fragility that can sometimes come after a traumatic experience. Very well done; very bittersweet.

It’s a nanosecond of pure nothing. No sensations, no sight, no sound, no touch, taste, smells, nothing. It should hardly register as a period of existence but it slams into Donnie’s mind with an ugly ferocity, a horrid split second of not being anything, of ceasing to be at all in a way his analytical brain cannot comprehend.
And then, quite suddenly, he is everything.
Donatello struggles with the aftermath of having been fused to the Technodrome; it’s putting it lightly to say he doesn’t like the way it makes him feel about himself. This fic is all hurt, no comfort, but it’s a fascinating bit of character introspection.

Mikey sighed. "Listen, Case. I’m not Leo. Wanna tag along on this field trip—fine. I won’t stop you. But that one?” Mikey licked his lips. Widened the mirror so Casey could get a glimpse. “That one’s mine, capiche?”
Casey was a second too late—rule number 4: always assume there's more; he kept forgetting that one—as another Kraang speared its body between them, some half-alien, half-machine horror. Mikey’s face remained unchanged. He flicked his free wrist once, and chains snaked around the Kraang’s hissing face, its torso writhing as muscle and cable alike bulged out.
We spoiled the hell out of him, 'specially Raph—the things he got away with, Case, I swear, like one time—but that's the baby brother, you know? It's in the baby brother contract. He could doom the world with his freaky mystic stuff—Leo gripped an invisible ball in his hands and squeezed—and it'll be just another Tuesday . . .
Finally, Casey found his voice, which cracked wonderfully down the middle. “We shouldn't—Leonardo-sensei said not to go alone." Chains tightened. The Kraang made a panicked bleat. "It’s dangerous to engage without—”
“Tell Leonardo-sensei,” Mikey said, the weight in his eyes sharpening into a spearpoint, a wild throw, “finder’s keepers.”
His fist closed. POP! Leo was saying, booping a young Casey’s nose.
A dark, but fascinating take on Leo and Mikey’s relationship in the bad timeline, and how the death of their brothers may have fractured it. Grief can do terrible things to people, and seeing the way it warps Mikey and turns his best qualities into his worst is deeply gripping.

The two of them are roasting rats over the fire—one of Splinter’s old recipes, in fact—when Casey says “Hey. Asshole. If anything happens to me, you’re godfather.”
Leonardo, preoccupied with looking over Kraang patrol patterns, grunts an affirmative. And then the words penetrate all the way and he almost drops the map into the flames.
“I’m what? You’re WHAT?”
“Whozzat?” Raph demands, lurching up from where he’d been dozing against the wall. “Who’s dying?”
“No one’s dying,” Leonardo says, still staring at Casey and her evil gremlin grin that says she knew exactly how much this would fuck with him and is living for it. “The opposite, I think?”
“What?” Raph adjusts his eyepatch to squint at him. “What do you mean, the opposite?”
“Casey’s pregnant,” Leo says and he’s still kind of waiting for Casey to laugh and call him a sucker because ha ha what the fuck.
This fic follows Leo in the bad future, starting from when Cassandra announces her pregnancy and to the bitter end. Everyone gets a bit of well-done screentime, but the fic is particularly focused on Leo, Cassandra, Raph, and little Casey, and how the bond between all four of them changes over time—something stronger than blood and deceptively fragile in the face of time, but never broken. Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)- Chapter 11
Tumblr media
The weekend when your parents are away feels like the perfect time. You couldn’t believe a great opportunity had just dropped into your lap.
There’s a light tap on the window, and you slide the four packets into your pocket. You move to the window, and there he is. He offers a little smile.
“Hey.”
“Hi.” You greet.
For a moment the both of you just stand there looking at each other. He hasn’t been around for a couple of days and it now hits you just how much you missed him.
“Do you want to come in?” You ask.
“Actually, I was hoping you could join me tonight.” He holds out his hand.
“Where are we going?”
You ask after you’ve already taken his hand.
He smiles.
“I want to introduce you to my family. I trust you, and you’re important to me.”
The statement brings a new type of warmth.
“I’d love to meet your family.”
Leo pulls you right into his arms and you both take off.
~~~~
The trip is awfully quiet.
You aren’t really sure what to say. Leo also seems very nervous. As he tracks through the sewers with you in tow, you try to work through a decent conversation starter.
You should say something.
Anything.
“Le-”
“We’re here.” He interrupts as you break the corner.
You aren’t given a chance to say much, because the three pairs of eyes are now trained on you. Mikey is the first to sprint over.
“Wow, you’re that chick!! I can’t believe you’re Leo’s girlfriend now.”
Leo looks bashful, and Raph joins, looking down.
“I thought you’d be taller.”
You frown.
“I’m average height.” You retort.
Donnie shuffles in nervously.
“It’s nice to meet you.” His awkwardness is kind of adorable.
“It’s nice to meet you too.”
Your eyes track movement in the background, and to your surprise it’s a huge rat. You aren’t really sure what to say. To be honest, you shouldn’t be surprised. They are giant turtles.
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet. Leo has told us a lot about you and your situation.” Splinter states.
You turn to Leo, and there’s a strange sense of gratitude.
“You told them?”
He nods.
“You saved my life. How could I not. I’m grateful. So are they.”
When you look back they are all wearing smiles.
In the past you’d never truly done much for anyone. But when you gave of your time, not once did you regret it.
It feels nice to receive their thanks.
“Well, we’d love to stay and chat but we gotta go.” Mikey speaks. They all nod in agreement and you’re a bit confused. So is Leo.
“W-Wait where are you going!!” He asks.
~~~~
“We’re heading to April’s to watch the game. Have fun with your girlfriend, “ Raph says.
Splinter looks as though he’s about to join.
“Y-You too Sensei!”
“I do enjoy a good game.”
Leo isn’t given another chance to speak, because they are all filing out of the lair. Pretty soon it’s just the two of you.
Leo looks a bit uncomfortable.
“Sorry about that. How about I give you a tour of the place.”
You agree with a nod, and Leo leads you around his home. You spot the dojo, Donnie’s working station. Mikey’s gaming spot. Even the feared Hashi.
Leo gets to his room and you follow as he continues to talk. He’s showing you his little bonsai tree and it’s then you feel like you should ask.
“Leo, do I make you uneasy?”
He stops abruptly.
“What?”
“This entire night you’ve been acting weird. I thought that maybe you were just nervous for me to meet your family but it feels like more than that. What we did that night…did I force you?”
Peter’s words on consent are ringing in your head. You realize at that moment that you hadn’t stopped to ask if it was something he wanted.
“I’m sorry if I made you do something that you didn’t wa-”
“No.”
He interrupts. Leo shakes his head.
“You’re wrong. You didn’t force me into anything. I wanted it just as much as you did. I..I like it when you touch me (Y/N).”
You just gaze at him.
Leo swallows.
“I was hoping that you being here would keep me in check because I wanted to do so much more. I’ve wanted it since that night. I just felt guilty because we haven’t even defined what this is. It felt disrespectful for me to make a move on you when I can’t even take you out properly.”
You understand now. Your fears were pretty much the same. You both had uncertainties. It’s a relief. Now you just need to be incredibly clear going forward.
“I want you to be my boyfriend Leo.”
His eyes almost glimmer in the light.
“I want that too.”
It’s a bit of a whisper, and he moves closer.
You swallow.
“I want to have sex with you.”
Leo’s gaze reflects desire. He nods.
“I do too.”
Your heart is hammering, and you reach into your pockets, pulling out the small packs.
“I have condoms.”
You say it with such a straight face.
“I-I also took the pill i-in case they didn’t fit.”
A smile makes its way on his face, and he begins laughing.
“You..really are too much…sometimes.” He says between his laughter.
“What would you have done if I said no.” He teases.
“Then I would have big breasts. I heard the pills make them huge. I’ve been on this earth for centuries and they’ve always been the same size. It’s disappointing.”
He fights to hold back his laughter this time, shaking his head.
“You’re perfect.”
He coos, leaving a kiss on your cheek. You grip the packets in your hand, looking up as he pulls back slowly.
“So..you want to..?” He nods, this time leaving a kiss on your neck. You melt into his arms when he pulls you closer.
“This is one hundred percent what I want to do.” You giggle when he leaves a little kiss behind your ear.
“Me too.” you mumble.

Okay, okay, I had to calm down after reading that last request you answered cause WHOOO- 😅
But for another idea, how about one with Casey ii and Leo? We didn't get too much of them interacting other than a tense moment or when a argument takes place and since you did marvelously with the other brothers.....
I cant think of a scenario for them but I know to definitely not doubt that magic writing you currently pocess ✨️
First of all, flattery will get you EVERYWHERE with me XD
Second of all, I'm sorry this took so long, but I really enjoyed the challenge! Here ya go!
---
It's April's idea to drive the whole clan up to her old family home in Southampton for the summer. The turtles were beside themselves with excitement, and with no leg to stand on, Splinter had agreed.
Plans were made, an ex-warring warrior scientist was kidnapped, a caravan was 'acquired' (and modified by their resident genius to fit Raph and Draxum), and they were off. Crammed in what had become a tiny house on wheels, drivers switched between pit stops. All nine of them.
Casey remembers hearing of April's old farmhouse in the rare moments of quiet in the main base. She'd sit down with him after a nightmare or a failed mission—there was plenty of both—and talk about the early days before the war, before the Krang, before mutants or Yokai had been more than a myth or a story in what she called a 'comic book.' She'd get a look on her face, worn with wrinkles and hardened by years of conflict that was softened by the stories of her early youth. Of her parents and the time they had before work took over. Streams and forests unspoiled by pollution (or blood or Krang fluids), singing birds, blue skies and trees that changed with the seasons. It sounded like a dream, a fantasy, and he'd said so aloud.
Commander O'Neil had smirked, a sad thing she rarely allowed, and threw an arm around his shoulders to bring him close. “One day, baby,” she'd said, kissing his cheek, “it won't be.”
As they pull up in the dirt driveway, Casey wishes she was here now to rub it in his face how she was right.
(Technically, she is here, whooping and hollering with the rest of the family as they pile out of the van with their luggage in tow. But it's not her at the same time, and now it never will be.
He ignores the pang in his chest.)
The farmland itself is beautiful. Wide, spacious, green and free of prying eyes that would have the mutants and Yokai in hiding. The air and the skies are clear, the sun beaming down on them in glares of warm, unspoiled midday gold. He can hear the stream nearby over birdsong and Mikey's laughter as he and Donnie persuade Raph to spin them dizzy on the tire swing they discovered hanging on the branch of a sturdy tree.
Casey drops his bag on the grass. He shuts his eyes, breathes in deep and sighs.
He loves it.
(It terrifies him.)
Once they're settled in their rooms, April gathers everyone in the front yard to pick berries in the brush so Mikey can make pies for dessert tonight. Casey and Leo make up one team, leaving Mikey with a mildly reluctant Draxum as he tugs their stepfather by the hand. April steers Donnie away from poisonous berries, and Raph wrangles a dangerously competitive Cassandra—
“Come, Raphael! We shall acquire the ULTIMATE AMOUNT OF BERRIES! We will be the reigning champions of Berry Pickers in the history of the Hamato Clan!”
“Cass, yer gonna rip off my arm!”
Splinter hurries to supervise and ensure the safety of the forest under Cassandra's... eagerness.
“God,” Leo says with feeling, watching them go. “I'm still not over her being your mom.”
Casey gulps. “How do you think I feel?”
Berry picking goes about as well as Casey expects. He and Leo fill their baskets, casual conversation flowing naturally—about Casey's online classes, adjusting to big city life, his new favourite food joints with the greasiest hot dogs known to man that he adores—and it's fun. Foraging for food isn't new to him, but the berries look delicious, far more than rats or leaves that reeked of rot and mould. Plus, the routine is comforting. A good distraction from—
From what? How good things are? How much fun you're having while everyone from your timeline is dead?
If Leo notices anything off once they rejoin the others, he says nothing. He gives Casey a searching look, but it's gone after the boy smiles and urges him along, losing themselves amid Cass and Raph's victory screeching, having 'bested' Donnie's team in berry picking with their baskets overflowing. Donnie quietly seethes.
Dinner is more the same—loud, chaotic, messy and everything that comes with the Hamato family. Casey remembers moments like this when he was small; back when the Resistance was stronger, more than just the fractions of the family left in the aftermath of hell unleashed. Master Michelangelo would gather them once a week for a meal between raids, missions and rescues, sit them down in a quiet corner of the base and just—be together.
In those small moments, Casey saw a glimpse of who the Hamato's used to be. Seeing them now, whole and everything they are, and will be, as this timeline thrives, Casey's chest aches with a whirlwind of emotions he can't pin down long enough to name.
That's not true. One is grief.
He excuses himself after several helpings of Mikey and April's delicious pies, shutting himself in the room he's sharing with Raph and Leo. He flops onto his sleeping bag and stares at the ceiling fan. The sunset filters through the window in shades of vibrant red and gold, bathing the room in its warmth and Casey with it.
He's too angry to enjoy it, and that only pisses him off more.
Damn it, why can't he stop thinking? His future (past? Present? Freaking time travel) is gone. The Krang are gone, defeated, and the Key is safely hidden. Everything Casey had feared and despised is gone, replaced with the warmth, love and care of everyone he knew and everyone he never had the chance to meet. He has a family, a life, a second chance.
But he had a family before, too.
The future he came from may not exist now, but the people he'd known since birth were real. His memories, the scars from training accidents, missions and close calls, are real. His Master's dying words were real.
And he misses them.
He adores his new family, these mismatched outsiders who have given him everything he never had and more. But he misses Master Michelangelo and Commander O'Neil. He misses the mother he barely knew but loved anyway. He misses—
“When you're done saving the world, do me a favour... grab a slice!”
He misses his dad.
The door creaks on rusty hinges as it swings open, Leo strutting inside like he owns the place (technically, he does, but only for a few weeks, and he has to share). Casey startles, wiping tears off his cheeks with a half-baked excuse on his lips as to why he's crying on the floor, but Leo doesn't give him a chance. The slider is on the floor with him, pulling Casey into a hug. One arm curls around his shoulders, the other cradling the back of his head and pushing his face into Leo's solid plastron. Casey lets him, confused, blinking hard—
“Breathe, Casey,” Leo says. “It's okay. You're okay.”
That's when Casey realizes he's hyperventilating. Crying and hyperventilating. Leo must have heard and come running.
Great.
But he breathes in time with Leo, the turtle's heartbeat strong and steady under his ear, and it helps.
Just like always.
Because Sensei used to hold me just like this when I was little.
The floodgates burst, and Casey's sobbing in Leo's chest, clutching him for all he's worth, weeks and months and years of grief, fear, loss and guilt pouring out in heaving cries.
Leo doesn't say a word. All he does is hold him tighter, both curled up on the withered floorboards of an old family home Casey had dreamed of seeing with the aunt who'd spun its tales, with the father and teacher he'd adored, now years younger. History repeats itself in the strangest ways.
(It's as he's calming down, feeling Leo's fingers card through his hair, that he realizes he's seen Leo do this with Mikey not long after the invasion when they were all still healing. He'd done it with all his brothers, with April, and he'd seen Splinter do it in the rare moments of vulnerability that Leo lets himself have.
It's a family thing, familiar and loving in every way Casey remembers. It's different. But it's not bad, doesn't invoke the same guilt that's been following Casey like a shadow since the night he arrived in this timeline.
They're still family. Casey's family.
This Leo isn't his sensei, his father, and he never will be. He's gone forever. But Casey has gained a brother in his younger self—four amazing big and little brothers, a sister in April, fathers in Splinter and Draxum, and... well, they'll talk about Cassandra.
It's a strange feeling. But a good one. A really good one.)
Even once he's cried himself out, Leo doesn't let go until after he uses his mask tails to dry Casey's cheeks—which nearly sets him off again, but now he's too tired to cry. Then they sit up, and Leo smiles at him.
“I may not get what you're going through,” he says, bracing a hand on Casey's shoulder, “but I know what it's like to feel like you've lost everything while trying to save it. And no matter how good things are here and now, what you lived through won't go away. The memories of the people you left behind will still hurt. And that's okay. As long as you remember that you did everything you could.”
He lifts a hand to cradle the back of Casey's head in his palm, smiling bright and wide. “You saved us. You saved me. And no matter what, you're not alone. You'll never be alone.”
Casey's chin wobbles with his grin. “Right. Anata wa hitori janai.”
Leo's eyes go wide with surprise. Then his smile, touched, awed and proud, returns. “... yeah. You're Hamato, alright,” he says, bringing their foreheads together.
Casey shuts his eyes and smiles through the last few tears.
Then when they part, Leo is grinning.
Uh oh.
“Hey,” he says, and Casey feels fear. “Y'know what's a surefire way to cheer yourself up after a moment of emotional vulnerability?”
Casey blinks. “... that's very specific, but, no, what?”
Leo jumps to his feet, hands on his hips. “Help me grab all the pillows from the bedrooms, Jr. We're gonna start something.”
~0o0~
When they return downstairs, precariously balancing the biggest, softest pillows Casey has ever seen or felt in his life, the others are gathered in the comfortably cramped living room. They're settled on the couch, both armchairs and the floor, watching a movie with a dinosaur chasing a jeep full of people. It looks interesting--even Draxum seems invested--but then Leo grabs one pillow and taps Raph on the shoulder.
The snapper turns, smiling automatically at his little brother. “Hey, Leo—”
WHAP!
Leo slaps Raph full in the face with the pillow, Raph's head snapping to the side. All heads whirl to stare as feathers burst from the case and drift lazily down.
Raph blinks into space, stunned. Leo bites his lip hard against laughter.
On the floor, Mikey giggles madly. Donnie's face flattens as he stands and grabs a pillow from where Casey had dropped them. Draxum pinches his brow. Splinter hurries the cutlery and china back into the kitchen. April scrambles for her phone.
Then Raph shakes with a dangerous chuckle. “Ohohoho, little brother,” he says lowly as he stands. Leo's giggling hard now as Raph makes a show of cracking his neck and rolling his enormous shoulders. “You wanna be startin' somethin'?”
Casey grabs one pillow and throws it to Mikey's grabby hands, holding another up to his chest as a shield.
Raph grins sharply, yanking the pillow from Leo's laugh-weakened grip. “Cos you know,” he says idly, “if you're gonna start somethin'. I'm gonna finish it. How am I gonna finish it, Leo?”
Draxum accepts the pillow April throws at him and holds it over his head, hunching low on the couch with a groan.
“I dunno,” Leo giggles. It's infectious as Casey snorts behind his pillow. Cassandra is standing on the arm of the couch with two pillows at the ready, grinning like a shark.
“Ask me, Leo. Ask me how I'm gonna finish it.”
Leo doubles over with breathless laughter. “How—snrk!—h-how're you gonna finish it—?”
“LIKE A BOSS!”
Raph charges, Mikey hollers “Pillow fight!” at the top of his lungs, and all hell breaks loose. Pillowy, feathery hell.
And Leo was right. It's freaking amazing.
It escalates until they're taking the fight outside, the sun fully set behind the trees and the stars glittering in the night sky as their laughter and shrieks fill the air.
In the middle of the chaos, Casey is laughing. Tears prick his eyes again from the ache in his gut (and face from April's eager swings) rather than his chest, where a new (old) warmth sits comfortably.
He leaps from the trees to ambush Raph with a bellowing cry—
“GOONGALAAAA!”
—and Raph catches him against his plastron, falling back to the grass and laughing his heart out as Casey pummels him with his pillow. “Okay, okay, I'm dead, I'm dead, staph, mercy little brother—!”
“Turtle pile on Raph!” Leo shouts, and that's how Casey ends up crushed between four turtles, April, Splinter and Draxum when Mikey yanks him by the arm to land on top of Cass, who wheezes under his weight.
(Casey understands, now, why Commander April had loved this place.
The clean streams, flowers, untouched grass and acres of unspoiled land are beautiful, Casey's dreams made real. But it's laying in the grass, sweating in the muggy summer heat with dirt and feathers on his face and hair, crushed under his brothers and sister(s?) and wheezing through heaving laughter...
That's what made it magical to her. It's magical to Casey.
He loves it.)
He meets Leo's eye in the tangle of bodies, and the slider winks at him. His heart swelling fit to burst, Casey winks back and says, “thanks, brother.”
Leo stares at him.
You're not my Sensei, but that's okay. You don't have to be. You can be someone just as inspiring, just as amazing.
His crooked smile wobbles slightly even as he shoves Casey in the shoulder. “Anytime, bro.”
And just like that, Casey finally feels at home.
I'm home.

For the fanfic ask game: 3 and 17.
19: In Underdark some of my favorite moments are Leo tripping and falling on his face. Feverish Leo cuddling up to Mike twice. In the shaft after they've fallen and Mikey hears Leo scream and goes "oh god, what happened??" Towards the end when the tunnel floods and Mikey's desperately trying to keep Leo upright when he just keels over. The comfort part in last chapter, love tired but relieved Donny and gruff Raph. And the heart to heart in Leo's bed.
In general I enjoy how Leo is written. He has a very calm and quiet presence. I'm not sure what makes the difference in this fic, but in my head I hear him as more soft-spoken than what he's usually portrayed as.( And I mean even before he starts getting sick.) I like it, feels fitting for him.
Ah, I'm glad the shaft scene seems to be well loved, that was definitely one of the high points of it for me. :D ...Leo being a little softer was actually mildly deliberate, because he was with Mikey and thus really being in Calm Big Brother mode because the situation was something he figured Mikey would find terrifying and he wanted to keep things on an even keel. (And then after that he got sick so...) It's also why he cuddled up to Mikey in that last part in sewers because he was feverish and like I can't leave him alone in the dark so I will just octopus so he knows I'm here, basically.
Anyway!
3. What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?
Hmm. There are the two teasers I put up for TMNT, both being somewhat in medias res-- one is for '03 TMNT, in which there is a huge ambush meant to collect all turtles in one sweep; Leo escapes it only because he falls off the roof and they presume him dead (instead of merely Very Unhappy) and he needs help to track down his brothers and Casey and Splinter is unavailable for Reasons, so he goes to the only person left who can help him, which is April. He needs answers about who the ambushers were and she's a hacker. And then he still needs her for Reasons so the two of them go and try to break into a deathtrap (while meanwhile everyone else tries to break out, they'll meet halfway).
The other is '07 verse, based on events in the Leo prequel in which he tries to hitch a ride on a ship in Portugal and realises it's full of trafficked children, and he uh. Goes and slaughters every trafficker on board he can find. Which is all well and good, and never mind his hypocrisy when he goes home and lectures Raph about vigilante shenanigans, but doing so canonically starts the legend about the wrath of Enugu the Turtle God against these traffickers and the leader of the ring suddenly finds it's really hard to get people on board to work for him. So he sets out to track this so-called Turtle God down and prove to his remaining men it's just a freak that can bleed. Great! The problem is, none of them expect there to be more than one giant mutant turtle and so they track down and take the wrong one. Whoops. Anyway, Mikey has a Very Bad Day. I also threatened at one point to write a Rurouni Kenshin/TMNT crossover due to the amount of flak I got back in the day of switching from one fandom to another (I could even do it canonically, Renet sure is a character that exists). I had a whole slew of Ruroken ideas that I will now never write because the Ruroken author is scum, so alas.
In other fandoms, just briefly: The Untamed, where Wei Wuxian goes missing presumed dead in a small village where people have slowly been disappearing, only there's flute music in Them Thar Hills that's been playing steadily for days, so Lan Wangji and Wen Ning investigate. Supernatural, in which Dean fetches up in a small town on an investigation and gets supernaturally drugged out of his mind and vanishes, and there's a whole plot to bring back not quite Lucifer but the echo of him, which is good enough for those involved (it's SPN v fae); Tiger & Bunny in which Tiger apparently goes on a rampage for as much human and collateral damage as possible and everyone races to work out why; and FFXIV where the Empire find a way to tap into the Echo and drive it haywire, thus doing their best to drive the WoL mad and the scions close ranks to deal with that issue. One Piece, in which Nami steals the ship for unknown reasons (totally known reasons, she's under a compulsion laid by a Navy Devil Fruit user) and tries to do it while everybody else is offshore. Only Zoro is still sleeping on board, so. That goes down well when he wakes up. ...these will probably never see the light of day, but they are fun to think about. (The two teasers, tho. Those will get written.)
17. Are there any writers and/of stories that you consider an influence?
Not in fandom, in any specific sense. I will absolutely get some kind of osmosis inspiration from reading a whole bunch of extremely well written fics because it will affect how I write if that's what I've been soaking in all day. The Untamed is full of extremely talented writers and I channeled some of that energy to finally finish my Snowblind chapter, which had had me stuck for 13 years because I couldn't quite reach the melancholy introspect I needed for it (but The Untamed writers have that in spades). Published authors? Definitely. I can spot my writing patterning after Janny Wurts and Guy Gavriel Kay, and I picked up Janny's ellipses and Kay's Dramatic Short Sentences, and I probably got my tendency to bracket small phrases from Stephen King, as you do. Thank you! These were fun :D

Leo and April
Out of all the 03 turtles I feel like April had to earn Leo’s trust, he was always gonna be polite to her but there was a wall there, and that kind of makes it all the more precious when he does come around.
Leo doesn’t like change. A big part of his training with the Ancient One was learning how to be okay with it. And the very first episode is literally called “Things Change.”
Some of those big changes for the turtles are losing their home and gaining a new one, and meeting a human who actually becomes their friend. Both huge deals for teenagers.
Leo doesn’t initially like sharing his space with April. He even seems a little jealous when she gets along with Splinter. April has some reservations about sharing her space with five new people, too. The issue really does seem to be the space and not anything against each other, but still it takes them a little time to warm up. However, when they do. Neither of them do anything halfway.
The Auggie’s artifact episode I think is a big step. They’re on friendly terms before, but in this episode Leo starts teasing April. He doesn’t show his sense of humor to most people right away. I headcanon this is where he starts seeing her less as a civilian and more as a friend, because he’s vocally impressed by her gymnastics and the thing he teases her about is her whole “jungle girl” routine. Which is, uh. The exact flavor of dork that we’re used to seeing from Leo. He sees Her being a leader, taking the situation seriously, and really getting into her role (having fun being serious) and he’s like oh! That means it’s my turn to be the annoying brother! And then she throws mud at him, fighting back which he respects. From that moment on they’re equals. Later in the H.A.T.E. episode he pauses his favorite activity (private training with Splinter) to help her impress Casey’s mom, and during his big arc she’s the first (only?) person he confides in.
Side note, while I think he does see Casey as a friend, he never gets as comfortable with him as he is with April. Side side note, Leonardo never seems as comfortable with Any of their other friends as the rest of the guys, exceptions being April and Usagi. Guess you have to show yourself competent at leadership and/or ninjitsu to unlock the highest level of Leo’s friendship.
Something especially precious about these two is that they take each other seriously. Like, they tease one another, same as the other guys. But they’re both a bit more sensitive and serious, and because of that they’re also more careful with each other. Leo deserves one sibling who really buys his serious ninja routine, and April deserves friends she can have calm conversations with (her life became such chaos so fast somebody get this girl a pedicure—)
And speaking of pedicures, because they are both more serious and calm, Leo having gotten over his initial jealousy, I totally think they would have self-care nights together. Let April teach Leo about facials and ice baths for their feets. Let them eat chocolate and listen to relaxing music and enjoy not having to say anything to anyone for a whole evening. They’ve beyond earned it.
I think I kind of already covered favorite moments—uh. Fave concept, Leo April and Mikey have a book club. They would take turns picking because they all have such different tastes and IMAGINE APRIL AND LEO BOTH accidentally getting really into comic books and trying not to admit it to each other—dang it I have to write this now—

Okay so I can't watch RTMNT on mobile with parental controls apparently, so!!! I'm wondering!!! Do you have Tumblr/DeviantArt fanfics and or comics that take the cake. (This is such a niche sorta content rec ask but if I know someone's got me it's you-)
I mean you can throw AO3 stuff too, but I'd have to get my switch for it later ^-^
Hehehehehe
Post-Apocalypse Healing
Mikey & Leo, Turtle Tots
Piebald(?) (I think that’s how you spell it)
Favorite comic moments There are actual comics to this show but I don’t know where to find them tbh
Crossover with 2003, 2012, and Bay Movies
Now, onto the fanfics where I have decimated most of them, and hunger for more.
Hanging by a Turtle: “It happens almost too quickly. One moment Don has both feet on the ground, fighting some new wacko mutant trying to blow up the city, and the next? Wacko mutant does something Don can’t really process, and the ground is giving out beneath them.
Wacko mutant gets away. Donnie and his brothers? Yeah, they don’t.”
We’ve cleaned our wounds but the pain doesn’t fade that soon: “A post-movie look at how the Hamato family deals with the what happened after they've had a chance to recover.”
Operation: rest day: “Mikey gets an art block. Leo steps in.”
(SEE ALSO: Raph & Donnie (the same author wrote both and I’m recommending them.))
Baby Blues: “It seems like no matter how hard the boys try, trouble always finds them.
Apparently, going to a yokai festival is no exception. Sure, they probably should have seen this coming; if trouble always finds them, then going to the Hidden City is just wearing a giant neon sign plastered to their backs saying "Hey! Right here!" But they had tried so hard this time not to screw this up. They even listened to Splinter's orders about sticking together
Well, for the most part. But everyone was fine in the end. Leo's fine!
Except for the fact that he's five years old.”
(This is supposed to be a multi-chaptered fic, and I’ve got it on good record that it’ll come back with a chapter two soon, but it’s a really good oneshot too.)
Turtles, meet Turtles: “First it was Sacks, then it was Krang, and now it’s... themselves? Or at least, the mutants they find certainly look like them!”
(Bay Movies/Rottmnt crossover)
On Understanding Caring Hearts: “Leo was injured, badly, during a mission gone wrong. One moment he was on lookout duty with Donatello, the next he was on the ground, trying to make sense of everything as the world moved around him.
Fortunately, his brothers are there to help him through, at least, Leo thinks they are.”
Like Father Like Son: “Draxum wasn't quite ready to give up on his plan to use the turtles as his ultimate weapons just yet. When Leo is taken by Draxum, it's up to the other three turtles to get their brother back before it's too late.
Post episode The Evil League of Mutants.”
(Mind the tags on this, love)
save your tears (for another day): ““Oh my god?” Leo asks, staring at the weird, other fucking mutant turtles in the room, accompanied by two of the strangest humans Raph thinks he’s ever seen. “Are you guys - are you guys us?”
-
orrrr a crossover btwn 2012 and 2018 :)
(now with a sequel 😌😌)”
Panic Buttons: “It feels like he’s dying. His air is being ripped from him and his eyes are drooping and he’s dying he’s dying.”
A Singular, Bloody Mattress: “Dammit, he needs to think! Raph isn't the greatest at coming up with plans; he's always been more of a "smash first, talk later" kind of a guy.
And look where that got them. Raph's baby brother is bleeding out to death, they're being pursued by the stupid flame-heads with deadly (well, deadlier) paper ninjas with nowhere to go, and they're stuck in a mattress store of all places.
Leo would have known what to do. Hell, he'd have gotten them home by now with one of his portals, where they'd be enjoying the rest of their evening with pizza and a movie.
But they're not home. They're stuck with no where to run to, and Raph can't think.”
This is all I’ll give you for now :D. Read ‘em, and then let me know when youre done so I can give you more later on. And if I find any way to get the comics free, I’ll def let you know too!!

Time Swap (ROTMNT)
Time Swap AU created by @teetlezhere
Chapter 10
Tumblr media
TW: minor mentions of death, really mild chapter
Beginning / Previous / Next
( Enjoy my shitty doodle for this :D This chapter was really cathartic for me. I feel like I healed a very big hole in my heart writing it. I listened to Mess by Noah Kahan on repeat the whole time I typed it out. And I know I always say I cried while writing, but that's not true, I’m just being dramatic. It takes too long for me to write to get thoroughly emotional. However, writing the park scene for this chapter actually made me have to take a moment to cry. More at the end of the chapter! Take a deep breath with this one. )
~*~*~*~*~
In the present…
“So I went out with a bang, huh?” Splinter’s belly bounces his resting hand around as he chuckles softly. He and his now equally old son are perched atop the billboard that sits several stories high above their sewer home. Leonardo dangles his legs over the edge as he takes in the view. A half smile crosses his face bitter-sweetly.
“Of course. A total Lou Jitsu move. You were always so theatrical.” His smile fell. The mutant turtle sighed and hung his shoulders. He watched a pigeon flutter below them on the street. He sits in quiet for a minute before feeling small, thin fingers reach out to his knee.
Splinter’s voice came out gently, fatherly, “Leonardo… I’m… sorry I couldn’t prepare you all for this… And I’m sorry I wasn’t there to guide you through… you know…”
Leo gulps and releases a shaky breath, “I know it’s been five years, but I just… I don’t think I’ll ever be able to believe he’s gone, Dad. They could lay his body out right in front of me and I still wouldn’t believe it…”
The rat rubs his thumb in a calming circle motion on Leo’s leg. “You two were always very close… But perhaps it’s time to let him go?”
Leonardo wrings his hands together, “I can't. I still feel him…”
“Hm?”
“Donnie… I still feel his… I’m not sure… his presence?” The tall warrior puffs his cheeks and sets his head in his hands. He covers his tired eyes with the heels of his palms and purses his lips. “When… my husband was killed; I felt it. I wasn’t there, but I could feel his… energy… dissipate? A-and when you-“ He winces, “-died, I could hear your heartbeat fade out. I was too far away to press my ear to your chest, but I knew.” He drags his fingers across his cheeks as he looks forward again. His eyes water as he stares across the city-scape. It was early fall, and the sun was just rising. He could smell the mix of baked goods and breakfast foods wafting up from the street below. He melted into the orange light and the feeling of being here, in his home, in this timeline. He never got to see this day; It was beautiful.
“I still feel Donnie. I still hear his heartbeat and I can sense him. It’s like he’s behind me constantly.” He laughs bitterly, “It’s almost worse! It’s worse than not knowing. Mikey… He called it ambiguous grief; Since I never saw his body, it may just be difficult for me to recover and accept. But I swear, Dad! I swear I hear his stupid voice sometimes! Making jokes, telling me about some smart thing he’s working on, calling me an idiot… It's like I’m stuck in believing he’s watching us from far away or- or planning to come back, but…” He runs his hands across his scalp. “But he’s gone,” his throat scratches as he utters his words, “isn’t he?” Leo’s chin and brow both scrunch as his lips sit somewhere in purgatory between a frown and a smile. “He told me that he loved me. Don told me that before he… “ He shakes his head and looks outward. After a minute he mumbles, “I don’t want to talk about it anymore.”
Splinter moves his hand to the back of his son’s neck and leans in, “You have been through much grief, my son… You need to heal at your own pace…” He gives his boy and side-hug and smiles up at the sun, tears dotting his vision. “I know what loss is. I understand…”
The two old men stay seated for several silent minutes. They listen to the cars below, honking and humming. The people of New York wake and get to work. Children run through the park, playing with their dogs, with loving parents watching over them. A crazed man stands upon a block and yells about the end of the world, and a couple tourists watch in humor: How ironic.
Leonardo remembers dashing over the roof of the surrounding buildings with his brothers, observing the high schoolers outside the large, brick building, chatting and messing around. Donnie would always wish he could be like them, and Mikey would try to convince them that being a turtle was more fun. They’d talk about everything from movies and memories, to their futures and how they’d eventually have families and lives apart from each other; but of course they’d stay close. Leo always wondered about moving out of the city. Even in his middle age, he never left NYC. He and Raphael always hoped to go see the mountains in the west, maybe even take a trip to Japan. Mikey wanted to go to San Francisco and paint the streets orange. Donnie, on the other hand, had his sights set on Mars; He was definitely capable. They were all so capable.
Leonardo focused on a young girl who’d fallen and scraped her knee. She clutched her leg and sobbed, probably mostly in shock. Her cry was answered by an older girl- he assumed her sister. The taller girl picked up the child and brushed her hair back. He couldn’t hear them, but he knew the words like the back of his hand. “That’s why you should be more careful where you’re running…” and “You’re okay… I’ve got you…” He grins as she even manages to get the younger sister to laugh again. His heart steadies and he thanks god that they’re alive.
His thoughts are interrupted as someone approaches them from behind.
“Hey. Mikey wants to… hang out or something.” Donnie’s arms are crossed defensively over his plastron. His eyes stay focused on a pebble nearby, avoiding Leonardo’s gaze. “Said something about a park in the Hidden City. He’s getting ready so he begged me to get the other Leonardo…”
Well, it’s an upgrade, I guess. The taller of the two turtles smiles sweetly, “Oh- sure! I’d love to hang out with you guys-“
“I’m not going. Just you, Mikey, and Raph. Maybe April if she’s free. I have stuff to do…” The teen turns and disappears as quickly as he showed up.
Leonardo frowns and looks to Splinter, who shrugs. “He’s quiet. He just needs time…”
Leo nods. I know.
Michelangelo drags Leonardo over to a stand selling lemonade. “It’s not as good as Todd’s, but I figured since you don’t have lemons where you’re from, you’d appreciate it anyways!” He slaps some money on the counter- definitely his dad’s- and snags a strawberry lemonade for himself, and a watermelon one for his older brother. He watches with wide eyes as Leo takes a hesitant sip.
“Damn! This is good!” The older mutant’s smile takes up his whole face. “Great pick, Michael!”
The compliment gives Mikey a great sense of pride. He decides to continue the good streak and guide his brother over toward a mystic arcade. “Glad you like it! Donnie says it’s too sweet, but I think his taste buds are just wrong. Leo never came with me. He always ran off to go do whatever when we come down here.”
Leo frowns a bit at that. He slows and looks down to the pinkish drink in his hands. “Do… Does he spend enough time with you?”
Mikey stops when he notices the red eared slider’s change of pace. His confusion is replaced with a grin. “Totally! Donnie probably spends the least amount of time with me, but I don’t take it personally. He just likes to be alone. All of my brothers are great!” He lays a hand on Leonardo’s wrist, “Especially Leo! I know I might irritate him- er- you… But he still lets me follow him around. Just last week he took me to get pizza and we pranked Raph by tying a slice to a stick, and we got him to chase it around the hideout!” He pulls his hand back and continues toward the arcade, laughing and bouncing around, “He knocked over So. Many. Shelves! Splinter and Donnie were so mad about all of the stuff we messed up!”
“I remember that.” Leonardo’s smile returns and he chuckles, “Raph and Donnie paid us back by hiding fake tarantulas in our beds.”
Mikey squawks, “So gross!”
The pair approaches the arcade, finally. “Whatcha wanna play?” Mikey lets the taller mutant make a pick as they enter.
Leo smirks, “Bet I can beat you on that one game with flying pigs.”
“Super Hog Race 3?! You can’t even remember the name; I so got this one in the bag!” He playfully shoves Leonardo to the side and races toward the game.
“Hey! That's not fair, you- What?! No! Don’t pick the hardest track!” He stumbles a bit more slowly after the youngest brother, beaming from ear-to-ear.
~*~*~*~*~
( Hey guys. I just wanted to give a little PSA. If any of you are experiencing ambiguous grief, please seek out help. It honestly usually doesn't correlate with death. For me, for example, I had a horrible falling out with a girl I consider my sister. It was that feeling of having something there for so long, and then it’s suddenly gone (sometimes it feels like As If someone died.) In the longterm, if not dealt with, it can cause severe mental distress. Please reach out to someone, write it down, read about it, and remember- I’m going through it too, I’m here if you need someone to just talk to. I know that a lot of time, the characters we latch onto and build around are so important because we relate to them so much. This story is very heavy, and I want you all to know how important it is to understand why these characters mean so much to us. Make like old Leo- give yourself time to grieve, time to recover, and surround yourself with love. Anyways, I love you all, please continue to read and enjoy. <3 )

Little Blue Hearts Update - Chapter 17
Happy Tuesday, Turtle Doves! 😍
Today's chapter is near and dear to my heart. I poured a lot of my soul into it.
I hope you are enjoying the fun ride on my emotional rollercoaster, and I hope you all have a wonderful week!

The Book of Liv
~Leonardo~
It's Ashley Time.
Master Splinter has decided to have us all sit around every other day while Ashley tells us a story about her cousin - Liv.
He had said it would help her feel less lonely. Perk her up because she misses her cousin so much. Make her feel more like a part of the family- Ashely, not Liv.
But I knew better from the moment he suggested it - what it really meant.
Ashley needs her cousin to be in on our secret.
I agreed to his request; to sit in and listen, to keep an open mind. I had zero intention of ever letting her down here.
Little did I know that Ashley Time would become something I looked forward to, maybe even becoming my favorite part of the week.
This woman? Amazing.
I mean, if all the stories are true, that is.
She has a heart of gold. She's brave, kind, intelligent, a great leader... Hell, after the second story, I was ready to throw it all away for her.
We've heard about how she saves animals that are stuck or hurt. On a regular basis -like she's Cinderella or some shit.
She, apparently, voluntarily takes all the "Bad" kids at a camp she works for and gets to know each one of them, finding their strengths and interests. Then she uses this information to help them feel like an integral part of the group. She'll give each one a special privilege and a job that utilizes their strengths to help the group and to help them realize they aren't bad kids.
One of her jobs has brought her into contact with many sleazy men, who target single women and harass them; thus, the woman needs help in the form of an escape. While everyone else walks by, she steps up. She will walk right up to the woman in trouble, pretend she knows her, and take her to a security officer or a manager of the closest business. And she'll STAY! Until she knows that the woman is and feels physically and emotionally safe.
She works hard alongside her employees. She saves them from upper management. My favorite was the story about the laundry attendant. Liv worked in a hotel where she was the minority- all the workers were Filipino and Asian - most of them speaking English as a second language. The upper management liked to take advantage of them. They would also punish the employees for the smallest reasons. One day she was sitting at her desk and heard her boss screaming and belittling one of the laundry attendants because the laundry attendant had made a small mistake. The things being said were so cruel that the attendant was sobbing while the director continued the onslaught of demeaning words. Liv got up, went into the office, and put her arm around the girl. She looked at the director and said, "We're going to go to HR. If you have anything else to say or discuss, please feel free to meet us there." Then, she not only brought the girl to HR, but she stayed with her and made sure HR had a full account of what happened and what was said, written and signed by both her and the laundry attendant—Freakin hero.
And I mean, she's done the good Samaritan stuff, too- first aid on an elderly man who fell walking as she passed him. She has gotten out and helped push cars out of an intersection. She gave a single mother and her son a ride home from the grocery store in the winter during a snowstorm. She paid for an elderly woman's ENTIRE cart of groceries when her food stamps card didn't go through - and never thought twice about any of it.
But I think the winner, for me, was the story about her siblings and her mother.
A couple of weeks before she graduated from high school, Liv's parents decided that their marriage was completely over. It had been over for years, but her mother had enough of her father's alcohol and drug abuse, and told him to leave. It took a toll on her mother- her father leaving, that is. A couple of months after she graduated high school, she was off to college- a seven-hour drive away from her home, her siblings, and her mother.
Everything seemed fine for the first few months until one of her siblings started calling her. First once a week, then gradually every day. It started off as "Mom is always tired and sleeps a lot." It turned into "We have no clean clothes to wear. We have no food in the house. They've turned the electricity off. Mom won't go to work; she won't even get out of bed to make us food anymore. The sheriff came to the door again and said we have to move out in 30 days."
At this point, Liv packed up her essentials and had one of her friends come to get her and bring her home.
When she got home, it was worse than she thought. Her mother was in a complete state of depression. Her siblings were dirty, skinny, and hungry. The cupboards were barren. Her siblings hadn't been to school in weeks...
None of the bills hadn't been paid since she graduated and her father left.
So at just barely 18, she started working... Five jobs. Two full-time and three part-time. She also took over her mother's business and was running that too. She made sure the house was clean, that her siblings were fed and cared for, and that they went to school. She helped them catch up on the schoolwork they had missed and ensured all their homework was completed correctly. She did the grocery shopping and all the cooking. She paid off the outstanding balances on the electric and water bills. She caught up on the mortgage. And finally, she got her mother the help she needed. She did this for three, almost four years. She dropped her whole life for the love of her siblings and mother. She had no time to do anything for herself. She barely slept! She only napped in-between her jobs for 45 minutes to 3 hours at most. Incredible. Admirable. And very honorable.
"I want to meet her," I blurt out as Ashley finishes telling her story.
Everybody turns and looks at me in shock.
"Oh, come on. You can't tell me you don't want to meet her after THAT," I say, feeling heat rise to my cheeks.
"I think it best that we continue to hear more stories, while we have Donatello do some research into her and her life before we invite her to stay with us for a while," says Master Splinter.
"Stay?" Questions Ashley.
"Yes, child. We need her to stay with us until we feel she can be trusted," he says, standing up from the Tatami, Raph right behind him, helping him.
"I would like you to work with Donatello and tell him everything he needs to know about your cousin. He can begin working on his research when he has some free time."
"Whatever you need, Donnie, let me know. You can skip patrols for a while if you need the time," I say, quicker than intended.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see Ashley and Master Splinter smiling at each other.
Donnie stands up, stretching his arms above his head. "Well, if you aren't busy, we can actually start on the research now," he says, looking at Ashley, who is being helped up by Mikey. I love that she's turned him into such a gentleman.
"Yes! Definitely! I will tell you anything you want to know!" She says enthusiastically.
"Alright, I'm gonna grab some coffee. Meet me in the lab?" He asks.
"We'll meet you there after we grab her a sweatshirt. It's always a bit chilly in there, and I don't need my angel getting sick," says Mikey as he pulls Ashley in for a kiss, her smiling from ear to ear.
I can't help but smirk and roll my eyes, Donnie doing the same.
"I'll clean up in here and meet you guys in the lab after," I say.
"Actually..." says Ashley, looking to Master Splinter, then back to me, "I would like for it to be only Donnie and me doing the research. I want you guys to get to know her on your own."
"But..." I start.
"She's right, Leonardo," says Master Splinter, "It will give you things to talk about. So you have a reason to truly trust her."
I can't argue. One, it's coming from Master Splinter. And two, it's a good reason.
"Will we at least get to see a picture?" I ask, sounding more like a little kid complaining about wanting hints for their Christmas presents.
Mikey giggles, and I shoot him a look. Little shit. I should throw something at him.
"I think that's doable," says Ashley with a smile.
Lord help me. I should've never asked for a picture.

Rottmnt headcanon:
The boys with an S/o that’s terrible at basketball
Raphael:
-sweetest boi when he finds out you’re terrible at basketball
-surprised you hadn’t even mentioned it before
-“did you think I’d make fun of you? Raph doesn’t make fun of people for not knowin’ how to do somethin’!”
-offers to teach you one on one
-denied every time
-basketball isn’t something you felt you could learn!
-“please let me teach you!”
-“no.”
-“pleaaaaaaseeee?”
-“no.”
-after weeks of bugging and bugging he finally gets you to say yes
-Definitely invested in making sure you learn how to play right
-this guy will pull up YouTube videos and NBA clips just so you can become an expert on the game
-will take you to the basketball court at night
-brings water for the both of you to every practice
-is the type of guy to stand behind you and correct how you’re holding the ball before you try to take your shot
-does whatever it takes to make sure Leo isn’t there while you’re learning and progressing
-will even hide that he’s teaching you in the first place
-trust him, Leo can sniff out amateur basketball players
-“Leo’s just gonna rub his skills in your face! Trust me, you don’t want him to know.”
-loves how far you’ve come and will celebrate every little victory you make
-will go easy on you when you have your first 1 v 1
-he’s the biggest cheerleader whenever you score, even if it’s against him
-never once makes fun of you for tripping over your feet or for your lousy aiming
-after a few more games against him, you finally won
-sure it was by one point but that’s okay!
-this boy lifts you off your feet in a huge bear hug to celebrate your victory
-finally, you’re ready to be involved in a turtle family game
-Raph will make sure you’re on his team so he can pass you the ball and let you show off how good you’ve gotten
-feels a sense of pride whenever you get a basket
-especially when it’s YOU dancing in Leo’s face once the game has been won
Leonardo:
-oh boy you’re really in for it
-you knew from the start of your relationship that Leo was amazing at basketball
-you ALSO knew he was a huge gloater and loved teasing people
-you didn’t need to be Einstein to figure that out
-you didn’t want him to know that you were terrible at it!
-“wanna play with us? You can be on myyyyyy teaaaaaam~”
-“Sorry can’t play! I twisted my ankle earlier!”
-“hey we need another player!”
-“I just remembered I have to be at a birthday party in like, two minutes.”
“Donnie quit wanna take his place?”
-“I think Splinter needs help organizing his ‘do not touch’ shelf. You guys go ahead!”
-it never bothered Leo
-well... not at first
-you would stay and watch their games only to jet once he invited you onto the court!
-he began to pressure you to play
-that includes begging, dragging you to the court, and even picking you up and physically placing you there himself
-it was easier just to give in
-you decided you’d just play a game and get it over with
-maybe even just sticking to passing it to other people
-...until Leo picked up on it and started passing you the ball more often
-especially when you were close to hoop
-“you got this babe!”
-he realized moments after you took the shot that you very much did NOT
-the ball fell short of the hoop by about three feet
-oh you never heard the end of it from there
-at the next game you guys played, he made sure to be on the other team
-“ready to smoke y/n, Donnie?”
-“you mean ‘am I ready for you to bounce the ball off my face again?’
-“yeah!”
-“then no.”
-“that’s EXACTLY what I wanna hear!”
-Leo made sure you were involved in the game the whole time
-it didn’t help your pride when he assigned himself the position of guarding you
-lots and lots of showing off
-even jumping over you to slam dunk it
-you, Mikey, and Raph didn’t stand a chance
-you had enough when Leo won and started dancing
-“I’m just... I’m just gonna head home. It’s getting late anyway.”
-he ran after you right away
-“hey what’s wrong? You didn’t have fun?”
-“kind of hard to have fun when you’re constantly shoving how bad I am in my face!”
-“it’s just how I play the game!”
-“Leo, I love you, but when you act like that then I don’t enjoy playing the game.”
-trying to walk away from him after that proved an impossible task
-“look, I’m sorry okay? I didn’t mean for you to feel that way! I just wanted you to see how good I was. That’s all.”
-turns out it’s very hard to stay mad at Leo
-especially when he’s got your hand in his and giant sad puppy eyes
-“alright, I forgive you.”
Donatello:
-initially thought you were just being humble when you said you were terrible
-you were probably just trying to make him feel better about himself
-you saw how he played!
-but...he was very very wrong
-he first found out how bad you really were when Leo invited you to play a game with them at the court that night
-you really were terrible
-he watched you shoot the ball only for it to go about five feet off course
-torn between feeling bad for you when Leo gloats and feeling happy that he’s not the only one that sucks at the game
-pulls you away from Leo before you can deck him in the face
-“hey hey hey there’s time to punch him later.”
-doesn’t bring up how much you suck at basketball
-he knows it’s not fun
-“oh I didn’t even notice! No, not even when you accidentally passed the ball to Leo. Nope.”
-instead, will try to draw the attention away from you
-everyone already knows he’s terrible at the game, and since they’re brothers, he’ll be an easier and more desirable target for teasing
-won’t even bother trying to aim when you’re around
-shouts “transfer it!” Even if he’s being guarded
-you know what he’s doing though
-“are you doing that on purpose?”
-“why would I do such a thing? I would never!”
-“you totally are!”
-“I’m offended you would suggest such a thing.”
-becomes a silent competition to see who can be the worst at basketball
-knowing Donnie, he’s not gonna go down without a fight
-but neither are you
-everyone feels bad for Mikey for always being stuck on a team with you two
-well, sucks to be him
-maybe Mikey should actually figure out how to play Rock Paper Scissors when you’re all deciding teams
-all that matters to your two though is that you’re both having fun being terrible together
Mikey:
-didn’t even realize you were bad at it to be honest
-sure, you missed the hoop by like a mile every game, but he never said anything about it!
-only realized your terrible when you actually bring it up
-“did you see the way Donnie practically tripped over his own two feet last night? It was INSANE, baby!”
-“I didn’t, I was kind of too busy tripping on my shoelaces.”
“Oh I didn’t see that. Are you okay?”
-“yeah I’m fine.”
-“how’d you trip over your shoelaces anyway? Weren’t they tied?”
-“they were... but I somehow found a way to trip over them. I’m terrible at the game, babe.”
“What? Psh, no way!”
-loves being on your team anyway
-it’s bonding!
-he’d never miss out on an opportunity to bond
-adores being on the opposite team and purposely dropping the ball for you to grab
-he’s just giving you an opportunity to get better!
-but, what he loves more, is working with you on the same team
-you’re both shorter than the rest of the turtle family, so naturally you both decided to create a technique
-he gets to crouch down, you jump on his back, and he launches you toward the hoop for you to slam dunk!
-it works most of the time
-key word: most
-the rest of the time in ends in a couple bruises and a lot of laughter
-this boy won’t let Leo even get a word out about you being terrible
-and Leo knows better
-he’s had too many run ins with doctor delicate touch in past experiences
-Mikeys always there to listen to you complaining about Leo as well
-even makes ‘after game snacks’ for the two of you while you rage about Leo’s dancing
-looks like Leo has another appointment booked with doctor delicate touch

Cosmo’s TMNT Masterpost
(Rise, 2003, 2012, and others)
Here’s where you can find pretty much everything I’ve ever made for the TMNT fandom! Fanfics here[haven’t gotten the courage to post fanart here yet], hope you guys enjoy my work. Reblogs are appreciated!
Fanfics
1. Finding my way home(and moving forward)
Out of sheer curiosity, Leonardo and Donatello looked up, and there it was.
A portal.
Had the Universe really taken pity on them? Had it really heard his desperate prayers for one more chance?
It was not like the ones they had seen before, it was an irregular circle made up of several shades of blue, completely different from the perfect and symmetrical pink triangles of the Kraang.
Leonardo and Donatello looked into each other's eyes for a few moments, "Should we go in?" Donatello asked, almost shouting, drawing the attention of the others, who quickly turned to the portal and to see each other, then the two brothers in question.
"It's our best bet, and our only chance," replied Leonardo.
Or rather, with the 2012 kids' home gone, they end up in the Rise verse after a strange portal shows up. Therapy is needed, and start the slow process of healing from their trauma.
(Rise/2012, Work in Progress, written with @keeryd )
2. Strawberry Cookies:
"Mikey here was just about to tell me what we could do to cheer Raph up while he's sick," Donnie says. "Mikey continue?"
Now that Mikey had both of his older brothers attention, he grins. "I was thinking we make strawberry cookies!" He does his jazz hands as he says this and is met with looks of something that he can only put as disapproval. "What?"
"You do know that everytime that we have tried to make it-" Donnie starts.
"We mess it up and Raph has to come in and save our butts from burning the cookies?" Leo finishes, "What would be different this time?"
Mikey huffs, "We are doing this so we can cheer him up and to prove that we can do something on our own!" he says, "That's what got Raph sick in the first place!"
Or rather, Raph gets sick after helping his brothers recover from the poisoned pizza puffs. Mikey, Donnie, and Leo take a shot at baking cookies for Raph while trying not to burn their kitchen down.
(One shot, complete)
 3. Chicken Fried Rice:
“I only poured in half a pot of rice,” Donnie complained.
Mikey stared at him, really stared at him before he spoke. “You do realize that rice expands when cooked right?” he said, “You do realize that?”
Donnie was silent, looking away from Mikey.
“Donnie!”
Donnie makes chicken fried rice. Mikey watches over. Shenanigans and brotherly fluff ensue.
one shot in which Donnie is in the kitchen, cooking rice and Mikey, Mikey is positive he should have gotten Donnies braincell.
(One shot, complete)
 4. Tea Time with Hortense and Patty:
"Sooo," Raph starts. She's always been weird with awkward silences. "Are these grandma kinning hours?"
"Grandma hours!" Mikey exclaims excitedly. "Grandma time!!!"
"Ah, if it isn't our favorite girl and her little brother!" Hortense tilts her head over in their direction slightly. "Are you going to join us? We were just about done arguing," she says.
---
Today is Tea Time. Two old ladies have a tea party, one of them forgets to bring the food, and they are joined by Mikey and Raph. A good time is still had.
(One Shot, Complete)
5. One of those Days
When Donnie woke up this morning, he woke up with the familiar thrum of anger and irritation running through his body with more intensity than normal. Rubbing the crust out of the corners of his sleep-addled eyes, he jerkily grabbed his phone and turned off the alarm. It's one of Those Days, Donnie noted. Those Days where Donnie isn't capable of handling Mikey's over-enthusiastic optimism or Leon's chaotic trickster nature. His safest bet is to hang out with Raph, his calm and mellow demeanor always helped calm down before Donnie went on a rage fest and say anything he couldn't take back.
Or, Donnie and Raph help each other out, balance each other, and make things a little less difficult.
(One Shot, Complete)
 6. Gift Hunting:
“It’s Leo. Tiny Leo,” the voice answers. “I need your help with something.”
“What is it?”
“I can’t say until you say yes first,” Leo says. “It’s really important though.”
Angelo is silent, weighing his options. He could say no, he really could-
“Please, Angelo, you’re the only one who can really help me with this,” Leo pleads.
Rather, Angelo and Leonardo go out in the streets of New York to help the blue banded turtle find gifts for his brothers' sixteenth mutation day. Bonding and fluff ensues.
(One Shot, Complete)
 7. Aftermath:
“Raphie bear?” Mikey called out, gently tapping Raph, with relief washing him when Raph turned his head to face him. “What’s the matter teddy bear?”
“Th-thi-this doesn’t feel real.” Raph stuttered out, his voice cracking as a sob broke through. “I’m not really here. Neither are you and everyone else. I’m still alone with Draxum and his minions. No one’s coming to save me because I was stupid enough to get captured and no one wants such a worthless turtle like me.”
In which Raph was kidnapped and tortured by Baron Draxum and his family has to deal with the aftermath of it.
(One Shot, Complete)
 8. To Be the Eldest
Donnie, the second youngest in his family, wishes he was the eldest for once. Then one night, Donnie gets his wish granted and now he was three small turtles in his care.
Donnie adjusts to being the eldest, comes to some realizations, and makes a promise to his (now) younger brothers.
(Work In Progress)
 9. Wanted: Snaggletooth
Dr. Noel bent down on his knees in front of Raph, a manic smile that showed too many teeth coming about on his face speaking of pain and suffering that has yet to come. He stretched out his hand towards Raph’s face, placing a thumb under his mouth, pressing into his snaggletooth. “Beautiful. Just as I expected,” he crooned, pulling out a syringe and injecting it into Raph’s neck, pushing the contents of the syringe into his system.
Raph’s eyes fluttered as he started losing consciousness, watching through hooded eyes as Dr. Noel's smile grew even wider, with his last thought right as darkness consumed him being that he hoped his family would find him before it was too late.
Post S2 Finale, Dr. Noel remembers Raphael, his snaggletooth, and manages to find and capture the red masked turtle. It doesn't end well for Raphael.
(Work In Progress)
 10. Dimensional Differences:
They bow. Not like one of those pretentious bows like she would do at Yokai parties and not like the ones she would do with her brothers when they hosted tea parties. They bowed deeply, heads stopping at her stomach, one hand closing around their fists. This spoke of respect and honor.
And that unnerved her a little bit. Why are they bowing so deeply?
“Thank you,” they said in unison. It’s unnerving to April and she felt the uneasiness coming from her brothers too.
“Why are you thanking me?” She said finally, voice sounding foreign to her.
“You saved my life?” Baby Leo said slowly, voice tinged with confusion. “That was an honorable thing to do?”
April blinked, “It shouldn’t be considered honorable for doing what any big sister would do,” she said. “That’s not honor, that’s just being a good older sibling.”
In which April, Sunita, Casey, and the turtles end up in the 2012 verse after a mishap with Leo's ōdachi and stay with the 2012 turtles until they can go home. They find out a lot of things that don't quite jive with them. Some things are the same, some things are different and they're not quite sure how to handle those differences.
(Rise/2012, Work In Progress)
 11. Mind Meld Part Deux:
“Oh thank Galileo that you all are back to normal!”
“What do you mean we’re back to normal?” Raph questioned, pulling back from the hug. Mikey and Leo also pulled back to stare at Donnie. “We’ve-we’ve always been like this?”
Donnie went quiet. He shouldn’t have said that.
“Donnie, what did you do?”
The brothers found out about Donnie’s Mental Intelligence Reprogrammulator. Arguments are had, words are said, words that tear a rift between him and his family, and it’s up to Donnie to earn his brothers’ forgiveness. The only thing is, will he get it?
(Work In Progress)
 12. I'm a little kid and so are you(don't you go and grow up before I do):
The 2003 turtles somehow, someway ended up in the Rise verse, with Rise Splinter and his turtle tots, and stay with them while the boys try to figure out their way home. 2003 Raphael got attached to his tiny counterpart the moment he laid eyes on the tot. (Raph centric)
(Rise/2003, Work In Progress)
 13. Dimensional Self-Isolation
Post S2 Finale, Raph finds himself trapped in the 2012 universe and has a difficult time coping with all of the differences that this world has in store for him. From new villains, unfamiliar familiar faces, and the way the 2012 boys and Splinter treat each other and him, Raph has a heavy plate on his hands during his long term stay.
(Rise/2012, Work In Progress)
14. A Collection of Turtle Thoughts
A collection of drabbles and ficlets about Turtles I've been writing since October 2020. Ranges from humor to hurt/comfort, I have it all.
Requests are open. SFW only though.
(All Iterations, Work in Progress)

Leonardo x Reader- Oneshot (TMNT 2014/2016)
So in honor of black history month, I decided to write this Fanfiction.
As a black woman, it is important to recognize and be proud of who I am. And to all the beautiful black women out there, be proud and thankful for all we’ve achieved. I hope my readers will enjoy this little fiction as much as I liked writing it. There is also a little information about my hometown in this.
Enjoy!!
Tumblr media
"Hey Leo did I leave my.."
"Right here."
Leo was holding your pack of hair ties in his hand. He smiled, and you flushed, taking it with a small thanks.
"You saved my life, I always lose these. Just bought them too." You were so excited for the movie night yesterday that you came right from the store with everything that you shop for that evening. So of course when you got home and couldn't find them, you assumed you left it with the turtles.
"Alright guys quit flirting." Raph buzzed passed, and at that moment you were thankful for your dark skin, because it would be that more embarrassing if Leo could see you blush. Leo brushed off the comment, just shrugging his brother off.
"Don't mind him, he's just mad cause Mikey beat him again in Mario Kart." you giggle, following Leo to the living room.
Easy days like this were nice. Saturdays were what you looked forward to. Friday nights you'd all get together and watch a movie, and Saturdays were reserved for pure relaxation. You moved over taking a seat next to Mikey, and his grin grew wide as he looked at you. You smiled, despite your slight confusion. "Do I have something on my face?" you chuckle.
"Nah brah, it's just your hair." your eyes widened, and you reached over wondering if maybe it was getting unruly again. "Oh crap is it crazy!" you asked, self consciously. You had it loose today, curls falling at the sides. It was puffy and curly at the same time. Almost like a kinky afro. Generally you'd pull your hair back in a high bun, or even a side one. But you couldn't find your ties earlier, and you were really not feeling it to comb through it today.
"Are you kidding! Your hair is amazing, everytime you come it's like in a different style." This time, you were surely blushing. "O-Oh..thank you..." It was no secret that you had untamed hair. You loved it though. Growing up there were people that made you feel a bit insecure about it. Most of the kids at your school had such tamed and straight hair, while you had curly kinky locks. At times it was a challenge styling it, and it did take a while on most days just to get it under control, but it's what made you, you. Your hair was your heritage, your strength.
Leo was watching you from his spot, and he couldn't help but agree with Mikey. It wasn't just your hair that was different, it was everything. He remembered the first time he asked Master Splinter about the differences in humans. He was a kid, probably nine or ten. He didn't know much but what he'd seen Donnie show him when they'd sneak to the surface to peek through the drains.
Looking back he realized just how everyone varied. Hair, skin, eyes. It was so fascinating to him. He loved it all. The diversity, to him it was incredible. As sad as humanity was sometimes, there were occasions that they would surprise him. The world was far from perfect, but there were moments where unity just inspired him to fight harder for the citizens.
You were a clear example of that. Meeting you was not just eye opening but also educational. He'd forever be willing to learn new cultures. So whenever you gave him or his brothers a small history lesson when they questioned something you did or said, he found that he was that more intrigued by you. They'd known you for just a few months, yet it felt like years of friendship. They were still learning more about you, everyday. Now that he thought about it, you weren't born in New York.
"(Y/N), you said you were born in the Caribbean right?"
The way your face spark to life never fails to make his heart pick up.
"That's right, I'm surprised you remembered that. Think I told Mikey the second time we met. He wanted to know why I talked so funny."
"Yeah, what was the name of your country again." Raph questioned from across the room. He was presently doing pull ups on the metal bar.
"Trinidad and Tobago. That's where I was raised, I moved here with my parents four years ago."
"Dude say that thing you did last time." Mikey called excitedly. You rolled your eyes.
"What thing?" Leo asked curiously.
"The way they say what's up is so cool. (Y/N) says it's english but it sounds completely different."
Now Leo really wanted to hear. His sapphire gaze turned on you, and you nibbled on your lip.
"I-It's isn't anything great it's just a greeting."
"I'd like to hear, if you don't mind of course."
You didn't mind at all. Leo was your weakness.
"Wais de scene."
"Seee!! You can't tell me that's english!"
Mikey was jumping up off the chair laughing and now so were you.
"You sounded different too." Leo notes. Your accent was different from the New York drawl he used too. It was nice.
"Can you tell us more." He really did love to learn, and maybe just between him, he kind of liked your native tongue.
~~~~~~
The boys were on patrol, so you figured you'd have more time to yourself. You opted for taking a shower. You'd gotten out a few minutes ago and now you were spraying your hair with olive oil as you ran your fingers through the curls. Your hand shifted to the small container of hair food, dipping in and placing it on your scalp, making sure to get it through the roots. You were glad Leo placed this mirror in his room. You had no idea why though. He didn't seem like the self absorbed type.
"I knew it would come in handy." His voice startled you a little. He closed the door on entry, and you dropped your hands. "H-Hey, I'm sorry I didn't think you guys would be back yet. I wasnt messing with your stuff or anything I just need to use the mirror and yours is so big so I thought why not and I-"
"You don't have to explain yourself, I asked Donnie to set it up here for you." you raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Really?"
"Yeah, you're here a lot, and I know girls like styling their hair. I was hoping I'd finally get to see you actually doing it. I've always been curious about how you get it to look so beautiful."
He really did know what to say to make your heart flutter.
Damn that smooth talker.
"Gosh, are you guys on a mission to embarrass me today, you've been complimenting me since this morning and it isn't even my birthday. " you pulled your hair up into a high bun, reaching for a hair tie to keep it in place.
"Wait!" you froze, looking at him.
"S-Sorry I just...I like the way it looks when you leave it down. It's so puffy, kind of cute..." his words trailed off, and you slowly dropped your hand.
"W-Well I guess if you like it then I don't mind. " you couldn't maintain eye contact, so you turned to the items in front of you. Closing the lids of both hair products, you shift over to the sink you wash your hands from the oily substance. When you were done, you reached for the hand cloth, before you could grab it, Leo was behind you, and his hand rested gently over your palm. Your body stilled, pulse increasing.
"Leo.." it was said with so much uncertainty. You weren't sure how things got to this, heck, you weren't expecting it, but you weren't complaining. His hands ran down your arms slowly. With your back still facing him, there wasn't much you could do but hope your breathing wasn't too labored. You'd spent so long trying to keep your feelings for him under wraps. If nothing but to ensure you didn't risk your friendship. Right now though, friendship was far from your thoughts.
"I wasn't being completely forward earlier, it isn't just your hair that's beautiful. " Your heart gave a thump, and when he urged you around slowly, you couldn't bring yourself to look away from him. "Your hair, skin, eyes, lips.." the last word was said longingly, and you swallowed the lump in your throat. "It's a challenge for me sometimes, I envy Mikey's ability to just say what's on his mind. I can barely look at you for too long, otherwise I'm afraid how much harder it'll be for me to hold back." So he was holding back too, geez, and here you thought this attraction was purely one sided.
"What if I..don't want you to hold back Leo.." His blue eyes glimmered, and you swore your knees would buckle just from the intensity of his stare. His hand raised to your cheek, and you released a sigh. How many times did you imagine this scenario in your head. Hundreds? Maybe thousands.
"Then I won't." he closed the space with those three words, and you leaned into it. Leo's arms were secured around your waist as his soft lips covered your own. Your hands gripped at his shoulders, and you tried to keep them from venturing. If they strayed, you weren't sure you'd be able to trust yourself not to grope every inch of his taunt muscular body. The kiss started off slow, innocent even. It was your first one together. You were both trying to savor it. Having longed for this, it felt like a dream.
After a few moments, that tentative demeanor changed to one of dominance and hunger, one that needed to be satisfied. Leo backed you up, not breaking the kiss for even a mere second. Leo's hand around your waist moved to the small of your back, and you gasped when it landed on your butt. He heard the sound, pulling back.
"Should..I..stop.." he forced out between pants. You shook your head, diving back in. Leo groaned, giving your cheek an appreciative squeeze. The action made you open your mouth, and his tongue slipped in. You moaned, and Leo took another step forward, this time he turned, and you let out a soft sound when he fell back in the bed, pulling you with him. He barely seemed affected, taken by the sensations.
You straddled his body, parting to admire his hazed look. Your chest was still heaving, and you wanted nothing more than to join your lips again, but you just liked looking at him. Those azure orbs that were almost penetrating you. His hand ran up your thigh, and he smirked at the way you bit down on your lip.
"Did I mention that I like chocolate?"
You giggle, "I sort of figured it out hotshot." you snark back. You squeaked when he suddenly switched positions. You were now bound to the bed, literally. He pinned both your wrists, that confident smile never leaving.
"I also like being in control." That comment did wild things to your body. You didn't mind at all. He pressed into you, and you whimpered needy. "L-Leo.." you wanted him, needed him now.
"Don't worry, I'd never leave you all hot and bothered, no matter how arousing it is to watch."
"Stop talking and kiss me!"
"So bossy." He taunted.
"Leo!"
He leaned down, giving your neck a soft kiss.
"Save your voice, you're gonna need it."
You gulped, and Leo took your breath away before you could fully think about it.
You were in store for a very...busy night.
