Prompt 115
“Seriously old man?” the rumbling voice nearly caused Tim to jump, his eyes darting away from where Ras was sitting, the Al Ghul almost seeming to perk. It was kind of hard to miss the man… teen… being? It was kind of hard to miss the owner of the voice what with how their hair looked like it was on fire.
They motioned around at well, everything, crimson eyes looking exasperated. “Really?” They were definitely motioning towards him, interrupting Ras when he opened his mouth to talk. “No, I don’t want to hear it, I swear- Did he kidnap you?” That was definitely aimed at him.
“N-no?” Tim was feeling slightly unbalanced and may be on hour sixty without sleep at this point, if the hour long nap was counted. “I need help finding my not-dad who's lost in time.”
The being let out a strangled noise that Tim could nearly swear was almost another one, but couldn’t vocalize his slurred thoughts as the dude muttered something, motioning around as though he was tempted to strangle something or someone.
Ras cleared his throat, looking almost awkward which was how Tim knew he had to be dreaming or drugged. Probably drugged. “Jordan, how good to see you, it’s been so long-”
“Can it Pops,” the being-named-Jordan scoffed, finger pointing towards the Demon’s Head. “Moms still pissed and isn’t coming back any time soon with you still pulling this shit.”
Tim felt his brain stall, process for a moment, then process some more over what he just heard before his mouth ran before it could catch up. “Ras is married???”

This is the result of me after a really weird and restless night a while back waking up in the morning with just the mental image of Rinne time travelling and deciding his first order of business is grabbing Hiiro and adopting Crazy:B a bit early, and Aira too while he's at it
Niki really hadn't expected Rinne's recent odd behavior to culminate into him disappearing for a week and coming back with three random kids.
Or maybe two random kids and one not-so-random kid, he thinks, noticing how similar one of the boys looked to Rinne. He even has that oddly serious expression Rinne used to wear back when Niki first picked him up, so unless Rinne just imprinted on the first redheaded child he saw on the street, he's going to guess that this particular kid is the little brother he's heard so much about.
That still doesn't explain the other two, though.
"Rinne-kun," Niki says evenly, "did you kidnap a bunch of random kids?"
"Yes," says the pink-haired boy.
"No," says probably-Hiiro, frowning deeply.
"Rinne-senpai said he'll bring me home after I get a band-aid," says the blond, who then holds up his hand to show off his scraped palm. Niki curses and quickly ushers the kid in the kitchen to rinse off the injury while instructing Rinne to get the first-aid kit.
"What happened? What did that idiot do?" Niki huffs as he lightly dabs the kid's palm.
"Nii-san is not an idiot!" definitely-Hiiro exclaims indignantly.
"He kind of is," the pink-haired one says. Hiiro glares at him, but the kid is unaffected.
"It wasn't his fault," the blond tells him, uninjured hand scratching his cheek sheepishly. "I wasn't looking where I was going and tripped. Hiro-kun and Kohakucchi helped me out."
"You have no faith in me, Niki-kun," Rinne complains as he emerges with the first-aid kit. Niki wriggles his fingers at him to get the band-aid and applies them carefully to the boy's hand.
"You've given me no reason to," he retorts. "Kohakucchi, would that be you?" He addresses the question to the pink boy.
"It's Kohaku, actually, but yes," he corrects.
"I'd say it's nice to meet you, but." Niki narrows his eyes at Rinne accusingly.
Rinne gasps in exaggerated offense. "I didn't kidnap anyone! Hiiro is my little brother, he came willingly."
Hiiro nods firmly. "Yes. Nii-san said I'll have a better chance convincing him to come home if I leave with him."
Niki does not let up on his accusing stare. Rinne grins back, unapologetic. There's no damn way he has any intention of going back.
"Kohaku-chan is technically here on contract," he continues, while Kohaku makes a face behind him, "and Ai-chan--well, honestly, he was an accident, but he's a cute kid who loves idols, so I brought him along!"
"Rinne-senpai said he'll give me tips on how to become an idol!" newly-named Ai says brightly, much to Niki's horror.
"Blink twice if he's making you say these things," Niki says urgently.
"Niki!" Rinne huffs.
Niki shoves his finger in his face with a scowl. "You don't get to talk after leaving me alone for a week with nothing but a note that just said, 'be back in a week or so, don't look for me.' I thought you were running from debt collectors!"
"You're a terrible person," Kohaku tells Rinne bluntly. Rinne just laughs and ruffles his hair, earning a swat. Hiiro eyes them like he's not sure whether to be disapproving or envious.
"Sorry, Niki, it was kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing," Rinne says. He almost sounds sincere, but no, that can't be right. "I just... wanted to see Hiiro again." Niki tries very hard not to soften at that. He's not successful. He's painfully aware of how difficult things have been for Rinne recently as an idol. Before he started acting weirdly, he'd just been getting more and more down; it was bad enough he couldn't be just Rinne as an idol, he was hardly even Rinne at home, too. It makes sense, he supposes, why he'd go to see the person he cares most about, even if it meant going back to the place he ran from.
Although...
"That still doesn't explain him," Niki says, gesturing to Kohaku.
Rinne hesitates, making alarm bells ring in his head. "I'll explain later."
"Rinne-kun."
"Promise."
They stare at each other for one long, drawn-out moment. Ai takes the time to shuffle off the couch and go back to standing in between Hiiro and Kohaku, the three of them watching the silent exchange, though Niki doesn't pay much attention. He's too busy taking note of Rinne's expression.
"Fine," he eventually acquiesces, and pretends not to notice Rinne's sigh of relief. "Tell me later. Just promise me you won't be grabbing any more kids, alright?"
Rinne pauses.
"Rinne-kun," Niki says.
"Well," he says.
"Rinne-kun."
"I was thinking of grabbing MeruMeru and MiniMeru too, but--"
"Who the fuck--"

I just discovered your Garashir adoption AU and I ADORE IT!!! i am literally in love with the ideas and your art style and omg sjsnsjksjsnsjsns ✨💖🥰🥺❤️🔥
Anyway my important questions are these: Can you tell me how old the children are? And pls tell me that they whole family has like a gigantic bed on which they can all cuddle together?!
That's it, thank you for your time and the amazing contribution you have made to this fandom, it's utterly beautiful <3
Hope u have a good day!
AWWWGHHH THANK YOU!!! I'M SO GLAD PEOPLE ARE ENJOYING THIS SANDBOX WITH ME!
This was as good an opportunity as any to sit down and sort of get a babby timeline together..
(yea med student handwriting lol)
which would put everyone (at one discrete snapshot in time) at I think -
Jocasta is older than Iskra! but came in to the family later. and is much less.... much. So it's easy to forget that.
As to big nestbed.. when he's younger Idan crawls into Julian and Garak's bed every once in a while because dadek is a sentient warm water bottle, but all his siblings swat him afterward and tell him that it's disrespectful to violate your honored parents' space like that. Nesting is for siblings! A Cardassian social space where you can literally let your hair down and share warmth.
Unfortunately for Young Elim that means that everyone's rowdy and wiggly in the evenings when he'd rather be sleeping, but that's the tradeoff for getting to use the shared comfy bed instead of the one in the attic where he'd have to sleep otherwise.

I hate to nitpick the Atsushi hallucinating scene in the new episode cause it was SO well done otherwise, but I'm still really sad that they cut out Francis being there. Like... it's not entirely necessary, I guess, but it just adds so much to his character and to the scene itself?
The Francis in Atsushi's mind is this looming, intimidating presence, because Atsushi did of course fight against him, he was his enemy at one point, but I think it undeniably says a lot that he's even included here at all.
I'm pretty sure I saw this discussed back when this chapter first came out, but while everything Atsushi's hallucinations say to him are framed as negative, putting him down, they can also be read as letting him know that the burden of responsibility for making such a huge decision isn't on him (hence why he decides to let Fukuzawa decide instead, because he can't make THE choice, but he can still choose to act to let someone else decide, and not simply do nothing), and Francis is no exception in this regard. Since he's naturally haughty and arrogant in his personality, this fake version of him doesn't at all feel out of character, coldly saying that "nobody expects anything of you", but again, I think this line especially can also be read as "you are not expected to do anything". In that way, it feels more reassuring, and maybe even dare I say kind -- the fact that Atsushi even considers him important enough of a figure in his life to think of what he would say to him in this moment means that he counts Francis among his allies now. Yes, they didn't get along at first when Francis lied and told him that he only wanted to revive Margaret just so she could kill Hawthorne (because god forbid he actually admit out loud that he cares about people, smh), and obviously because of the whole almost burning Yokohama down and trying to kill him and Akutagawa thing lol, but I'm pretty sure Atsushi changed his mind about him after he saw the state Margaret was in, and recognized how much Francis cares about her and wanted her to be alright. He probably still remembers him talking about his desire to bring back his daughter and save her and his wife, too. The guy still probably isn't someone Atsushi would want to hang out with and be buddy-buddy with during his free time lmao, but the airheaded vain old sport still has a good heart, deep down, and I think Atsushi has seen this by now, because he's a kind person, and so I think it speaks volumes that he unconsciously looks to him for advice here. Francis is just a really good and underrated character, and this is such a small but meaningful moment that shows his development so well, the only moment with him we've gotten or any of the Guild really in such a long time, so it makes me sad to see this cut 💔
I also just feel like not including him kind of weakens the impact of Akutagawa's appearance here?? Like, there's a progression of the order of people Atsushi hears/sees in this scenes: first, people from the ADA sans Dazai, who are all portrayed as on the same level, because he cares about them all equally, aside from I guess Kyouka (again, sans Dazai, the most important person to him). Then, there is Francis, and not to say that Francis is more important to Atsushi than the ADA, obviously not, but he's one of the last to appear because he used to be his enemy, and so he commands much more of a presence, has more of an impact -- but at the same time, like I said, it's complicated: he's not really his enemy anymore, but something between a rival and a friend, and so for that reason his words carry more weight. He is someone Atsushi, logically, shouldn't trust, after what he did to him in the past, and yet he does, because things have changed since the Guild arc, and he knows he can count on him to be there for him and the ADA now.
And then, after him, there is Akutagawa. Who is basically exactly the same as everything I just described for Francis, but times one hundred. Of course Akutagawa would be last. Of course, if there's someone Atsushi would simultaneously and paradoxically be both intimidated by and yet comforted to hear their advice because of their tumultuous history together, far more than Francis, it would be Akutagawa. The progression of ADA members > Francis > Akutagawa in that order gives Akutagawa's appearance much more weight imo than just going straight to him from the ADA members, especially with the specific framing of him standing in line behind Francis to judge/advise Atsushi.... it's just much more powerful, and I wish they'd kept it like this, for both Francis and Aku's characters.

some people keep saying that bart being hal and barry's child is a bad idea (I mean I really get the idea cuz hal's always away for space missions and barry would end raising him alone for most of the time + hal's commitment issues)
but idk I still can't help myself like It's really cute I like giving my otp a child
😭😭
I LIKE THIS IDEA. Honestly, I feel that as they first start to date, and a good point with Hal's commitment, Hal doesn't exactly see himself as a father? (<- Also I feel this is exactly him though. And not to mention how much I HATEEEEE that they gave HalCarol a kid because none of them would ever actually want a baby because they're so cooped with work and wanting to make it out for each other rather than always forcing themselves to marry, even with Carol wanting to move progressively with a relationship.)
Back to HAL, I mean he's great with taking care of kids and getting along with them, but I don't think he could want kids. This goes with Barry as well (<- They both are deadly afraid of committing to something that means they could lose someone), he's great with goods but he feels he couldn't be a good dad because of Dawn and Don scolding him from the future. Then again if they both had to take care of a kid (such as Bart, which I think is cute but Max is also the caretaker for him ngl... I think they would be great with Wally TOO because of Brave and The Bold shenanigans. One of my favorites <- Hal calling Wally son when he had the green lantern ring :((( )
BUT YES, I think they would be good as caretakers in a way that makes me emotional. Because they would want to try again with what they lacked during their childhood growing up...
