Summary: It’s no secret that the Van Der Linde Gang brought together all sorts of misfits of all sorts of backgrounds. Hosea had been a stage actor, Bill had been a soldier, and Javier was once a revolutionary. However, with all these strange yet vibrant histories, yours always made you stand out. Far to off in the eastern side of the country, you had lived a modest but respectable life as a schoolteacher. 

Note: Reader is written as being in her late twenties to early thirties. I only have Arthur, John, Dutch, Abigail, Mary-Beth, Javier, Molly, and Sean in this post. I do intend to write the others, I just didn't want this to be too long. I can also write specific imagines or romantic hcs if requested!

ARTHUR

He’s likely to be the first to develop a crush on you. Honestly.

Arthur finds you comforting. You carry yourself with a warmth and a certain air of confidence that makes him feel safe in your presence. He didn’t have much schooling, so he sometimes gets shy about talking about academic subjects. Still, you do manage to coax him into deeper conversations than just “mornin’” and “lovely day, ain’t it?”

Arthur is softer than he seems and sees more than he’s always willing to say. After cracking through the awkward small-talk phase of your friendship, you and Arthur begin to talk more on philosophy. He’s never considered himself all that smart, but you tell him that he’s insightful. Insightful? Him? It's enough to make him blush sometimes.

As he gets to know you better, Arthur starts to do small favors for you. Nothing too big. Just things like bringing back books from town or little trinkets he thought you might like. If you need help with your chores, he might just join you if Miss Grimshaw ain't around. Certain people in the gang have taken to calling him, "teacher's pet."

JOHN

He hardly paid you any mind, at first.

After you spent a few weeks with the gang, he started seeing you with Jack. Thought nothing of it, at first. Then it became a regular occurrence and despite himself, he got just a touch paranoid. You were brand new to the gang. A stranger. Why would Abigail let you near his her son? He confronted her only to find out that Abigail had asked you to teach Jack as his own private tutor. Needless to say, he felt a bit silly.

From what he can tell, you're not half-bad of a teacher. Jack's learning his numbers, writing his name, and is starting to ask for more books. While a part of him wants to be happy... it only vexes him further. Why would such an innocent civilian such as yourself be all the way out here?

John takes a while to warm up to you, but you proved to be less stuffy than you looked. You have a firm yet gentle way about you. And somehow, you can correct someone without ever making them feel stupid or simple for it.

DUTCH

He enjoys your keen mind and education, but he also resents it.

Dutch won't share with the others how he found you or how you became an outlaw. He likes to say that it's your story to tell. Really, he just like to know something no one else does. His reason for recruiting you was just as simple, he hadn't met someone like you before.

It's not everyday he meets an ex-teacher-turned-outlaw. Dutch found your situation interesting, unique. He does so like to collect outcasts. Especially one as educated and clean as you. Dutch starts to linger by you as you do your chores to initiate a playful debate. Unlike most in the gang, you disagree with some of his philosophies and have counterarguments that make him pause. That's not to say you've ever convinced him to change his mind, oh no. His pauses are more for him to steady himself so he doesn't show how bothered your resistance makes him.

As much as Dutch loves to spar with you mentally, he secretly finds offense in your obstinance. What you see as playful debate may just turn into a case against you as a traitor.

JAVIER

Now, this one may seem odd, but Javier is second most likely to develop a strong attraction for you. 

When he first saw you, it wasn’t precisely love at first sight. You were new, having joined just after Charles. Javier agreed with Bill that you wouldn’t last long. Everything about you just screamed, “civilian.” You dressed modestly, wore spectacles, spoke proper English, and seemed clueless as how to survive in the west. The only reason he didn’t outright resent you was because Dutch had been the one to bring you into the gang. 

The crush started around the same time you got more comfortable at camp. Sometimes you let your hair down, literally and figuratively, both of which he found very attractive. You have a mouth on you, and you aren’t scared of much. Seeing you stare down Bill for swearing in front of Jack was enough to prove that. He likes how tough but fair you are. How you’re educated but you’re not stuck up about it, unlike some he’s met. 

MARY-BETH

Is shy about it, but eventually goes to you for help with her writing.

Mary-Beth finds out that you both like “silly romance,” books and she starts to talk about how she writes her own. With it being so hard to find new things to read, you jump at the chance to read her work. Mary-Beth is quite shy about it, but she lets you read a few pages. Much to her surprise, you praise the work and ask for more. She starts to use you as an editor for some of her short stories. You enjoy her writing quite a lot and encourage her to keep going. 

You and Mary-Beth get on very well. You’re both bookworms and not too keen on violence for violence’s sake. Privately, you talk about what you hope your life will be like some day.

SEAN

Finds the fact that you’re an outlaw to be completely hilarious. 

As he gets more used to your presence, Sean starts to come to you with questions about the world. He does this because, as a teacher, he assumes you must know the answer to at least some of these. Questions like, “Why do we call ducks and geese different things when they look alike?” or “How’d we even decide what to name things? Did we see an orange’n on a trre an’ tink, ‘Oh now that’s an orange!’ or did we already have the color all sorted out? How’d they name colors to begin with?”

Sean will sometimes follow you around camp to ask you these questions, and the gang finds it quite funny. You’ll just be doing your chores with Sean slinking behind you as his mouth runs a mile a minute. What surprises most is that you usually at least try to give him an answer. Some folks didn’t believe you were really a teacher when you first joined… They believed you after they saw how patient you can be with Sean. 

ABIGAIL

First, she was suspicious of you. Then, she trusted you more than most.

Once Abigail was certain you weren’t going to sprint back into town to turn everyone in, she had a favor to ask. Jack was getting older and although Hosea and Dutch offered to teach him to read and write, they hadn’t the time to start. She asked you to teach him whatever you could when time allowed. You were excited to help, eager. Jack being as young as he was, took to your lessons fast. In little time, you were helping him sound out sentences and write his name. This started a new problem for Abigail, however. She never learned to read or write herself. Jack would try to show her his work, or ask her to read him a story, and she couldn’t.

Instead of shaming her, you offered to teach her how to read as well. Abigail refused at first, but relented when you said she could teach you how to sew in return. Through her, you start to feel more a part of the gang.

MOLLY

She only started to have a problem with you once she realized you weren’t some old hag.

When you first joined the gang, you were still dressing like a teacher. Your clothes were bulky and formless, hair all pulled back in a bun, and you were quiet. As you got more into the outlaw life, you started to dress a bit more like the other women. Started showing more of your personality. And more importantly, Dutch started to pull you aside more often. 

Molly can’t help but feel paranoid about you and Dutch. When she spies in on you two, all she sees is you both reading or debating. It’s not as if he’s holding your hand or whispering in your ear… but it feels wrong. Dutch talks to you about things he won’t talk to her about. Books, philosophy, world events, the strange and esoteric. It feels like you satisfy him in a way she can’t, and Molly comes unglued thinking about it.

craig is not the best at physical affection, so you'll have to be the one to initiate it most of the time.

he does sometimes intertwine pinkies and holds your hand, but only sometimes.

its not that he doesn't like it, it just doesn't really occur in his mind to initiate pda and stuff like that.

he much prefers verbal affection or acts of service. telling you just how much he appreciates you and helping you with chores or homework is much better in his opinion.

you and craigs friendship started when you both were in detention, and you threw a paper airplane right on mr. mackeys head while he was napping.

mr. mackey sadly heard craig though, and immediately accused him.

"craig, did you do that? now listen here young man. I am tired of your attitude and games- did you just flip me off?!"

you both got detention for 2 weeks.

but after that day, you started hanging around craig more and more and eventually made your way in his little gang.

hes pretty protective of you, constantly flipping off anyone who talks bad about you. also prolly gatekeeps you from everyone else.

he lets you hold stripe before anyone else, and even lets you feed him! the cute little thing.

craig is a pretty cuddly guy when you both are alone, spooning is an absolute must!

he doesn't mind whichever position, though he prefers being the big spoon. so that he can feel your soft body against his.

hes absolutely down to get married and live a happy life with you if you're down too.

craig will probably be the one working most of the time, but he doesn't mind being a malewife/househusband either.

it honestly just depends on you.

hes not the best cook, but definitely not the worst either.

hes pretty lazy when it comes to cleaning, always telling himself he'll 'do it later'

hes heartbroken, but he knows this has to be done.

he ends up approaching you about 20 minutes after classes, when theres not much people around.

after the breakup. he'll seek comfort in his room and stripe. refusing to leave for the next few days.

he finds it hard to cry, so he'll try to force himself to.

hes not insensitive of course not, its just hard for him since he rarely does it.

after a few days he'll check his phone and text all his friends back, though still heartbroken and sad.

craig struggles with commitment, but he'll do everything in his power to make you feel loved and special. just in his own way.

hes pretty neutral about marriage, but again if you're down. hes down.

he wouldn't want to get engaged too quickly of course- perhaps give it a good 3 years. maybe 4.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

craig is very gentle with you physically.

his touches are soft and careful, and he always asks you before touching you. he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable.

also pretty gentle with you emotionally, but he does struggle a few times since hes not used to emotions.

he is trying though! always reassuring you and making sure you feel special and loved.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

the guy loves hugs. especially from you.

though he doesn't initiate hugs most of the time, he will gladly accept any hug without hesitation.

craigs hugs are short, but warm and cuddly. his hands lingering and ruffling your hair as he kisses your neck.

love is a very strong and meaningful word, especially to craig.

so he takes his time before actually saying it. he needs time to make sure the feelings he has for you (whether romantic or platonic) are real, and true.

but once he does make sure and finally does says it, he says it.

and he'll say it over and over and over again.

you're leaving his house? "bye, love you."

you both bump into each other on the way to class? "love you."

you give him any kind of gift for any random occasion? "I love you."

he starts saying it everyday, all day. and he'll keep saying it till the day that love dies.

craig is a chill and laid back guy, and hes not one to get jealous often.

but on the rare occasions when he does, he gets pissed.

he'll secretly flip off the person thats making him jealous and stick his tongue out.

he'd hold you much closer, wrapping his hands around your waist and kissing your nape as he glares.he'll also ask you random questions like "hey babe, what time is it?" or "honey, what do you want for lunch?" while your talking with said person, just to let them know that you're his and only his.

you'll whisper to him a 'whats wrong?' and he'll shrug, asking what you mean and that nothing is wrong.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

craigs kisses are passionate and meaningful, and when you two are kissing, he doesn't care about anything else.

he kisses you everywhere, your lips, cheeks, neck.

but hes most fond of kissing your nape and hands, something about it just feels so intimate.

he loves when you kiss him on his forehead, his ears and face flushing a bright pink whenever you do.

he just loves you so much, and wants you to feel the same way.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

craig doesn't dislike children, but doesn't exactly like them either.

he'll make a disgusted face and scowl when he sees a child crying or throwing a tantrum and laugh out loud when a child trips and falls, not caring if the parent is nearby.

will also not hesitate to flip a child off if they annoy him.

however he does has a soft spot for his little sister, tricia. and is always there to comfort her whenever she needs it.

when you point it out though he will deny it, saying that he only does it cause he doesn't want to hear her cry and whine. which is obviously a lie but he'll never admit it🤫

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

craig is not a morning person at all. and most mornings spent with him is just you trying to crawl out of bed as he clings onto you.

no matter how much you try to wriggle out of his grasp, he just won't let go. you whine and lightly hit his arm but to no avail.

but when you do manage to get out of bed, he'll frown and pout, using a pillow to cuddle with instead.

some lucky occasions you cave and stay in bed with him, much to the raven haired boys delight. he'll kiss your cheek and mumble about how much he loves you before dozing off again.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

nights with craig are usually spent playing with stripe and watching movies. he'll place the little creature on his lap, petting it while his head rests on your shoulder.

other nights are spent either hanging out with craigs gang, or just playing games together.

but no matter what you two do, the night will always end in you snuggling against craigs chest as he strokes your hair.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

craig is not a very open person, so it will definitely take a while before you can really get to know more about him.

its not cause of any trust issues or anything like that, he just doesn't really think to tell you about him in the first place.

you'll probably have to be the one to ask him about things, and hes more than happy to tell you if you're both close enough.

he doesn't tell you much about his problems, mostly because he doesn't wanna trouble you with it. but if you insist then he will slowly but surely open up to you more.

in the end, hes always glad and feels better after talking with you.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

like I said before, craig is a pretty chill and laid back guy.

he doesn't get angered often, and mostly just resorts to flipping people off when they annoy him.

the only thing that really gets him angry or mad is when someone insults a person he deeply loves and care about (or sometimes a guinea pig)

its rare to see craig get mad or angry, but when he does he immediately tries to cool himself down, he hates letting you see him like this so he either walks away from the situation or just take a deep breaths.

he does calms down fairly quick though, so its not much of a problem.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

craigs a forgetful guy, but not when it comes to you!

he'll remember every small detail about you. your favorite bands and songs, your favorite sweets and candy, he'll even remember all the moles and birthmarks on your body.

he likes buying things he knows you like. stuffed animals, bracelets, figures, etc.

and he absolutely adores the face you make when you see what he got you, your eyes glimmering in happiness as you thank him. he just loves it.

his favorite moment with you was your guys first date. he brought you to a fancy italian restaurant, per cartmans suggestion.

why he listened to cartman of all people was a mystery.

anyways, he asked his best buds to assist him while on the date, and they ended up reserving a table right in front of the one for you and craig.

he was hella nervous, his palms sweating as he looked at his phone over a dozen times to check if he got any messages from you.

once you arrived though, he slightly relaxed abit.

you two ended up having an awesome time. though it was mostly you doing the talking, but he snorted and made a few comments here and there .

once the date ended, he offered to walk you home. to which you happily accepted.

his hand brushed against yours as you talked to him about your interests, though he seemed out of it.

he ended up only staring at your face the whole time and not hearing any word you said.

after you arrived home you thanked him, and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before skipping inside.

craigs bad habit is obviously the need to always problem solve.

sometimes you have problems that you dont want to solve right away. and thats... confusing in craigs mind.

to him, solving the problem as quick as possible is better so that you won't have to deal with it, so then why are you crying and yelling at him for suggesting ideas to help?

he doesn't get it, he really doesn't. hes trying to help you, so then why are you so upset?

he asks all the smartest people he knows about what to do, but to no avail.

he decides to just ask you himself about what you want him to do and what you need to feel better.

you tell him that you just want someone to comfort you, to hold you and talk through your emotions with you. and so he does.

he holds you, stroking your hair as you sob into his chest. he mutters a few words of affirmation here and there, but mostly lets you do the talking.

after you feel better, he'll make you a cup of your favorite drink and give it to you. cuddling you and kissing your puffy eyes as you fall asleep in his arms.

craig never really cared much about his appearance or about how people see him.

it was only until you came into his life, that he started actually putting in an effort to look good.

he started brushing his hair before school and getting into the recent fashion trends. its a bit of a hassle, but its all worth it when you compliment his looks and outfit in the hallways!

very much. when you leave south park for whatever reason (whether temporarily or permanently) it feels like a chunk of him left with you.

he suddenly doesn't have the urge to attend his classes, or dress up nicely. he'll be even more stoic than usual and would get annoyed much more often.

not a day goes by he doesn't think of you, always pulling out his phone to send you a message or to check your social media accounts.

he misses you dearly, and the only thing that really helps him cope is stripe and the gifts you had bought for him.

he'll sometimes cuddle his pillow at night, imagining it to be you. tears prickling his eyes as he sniffles.

11. Which member is more physically affectionate?

By quantity? Prompto is always touching someone. It's 80% over-eager ADHD and 20% genuine expression of affection. Most days he's not even thinking about how many times he's slapped Noct's butt or grabbed Ignis' cuff to get the tactician's attention, but that doesn't mean it doesn't count as affection.

By quality, however, is Ignis. Four out of the five of them had been raised in the 'no-touch' environment that is the Citadel, so idle contact is something most of them don't even consider, let alone do absently the way Prompto does. Ignis noticed this, as Ignis notices everything, and made it a personal challenge to initiate small forms of physical affection whenever appropriate. A gentle hand at Noct's elbow when offering advice, a lingering grasp when helping Gladio up from where he had just thrown him to the floor during a spar, a careful finger pushing back an errant hair that had fallen into Rosea's face; Ignis has a talent for making each and every motion feel 10x more intimate than it has any right to be. His self-satisfied smirk whenever the object of his attentions starts to blush definitely doesn't help the matter.

13. Which member steals borrows the other ones clothing?

Unfortunately, due to the circumstances of wildly varying sizes, some people just can't borrow clothes while others have a wealth of theft opportunities.

Gladio is the unfortunate target of most of it, though none of his clothes really wander that far. It's not like any of the thieves can steal one of his shirts and be able to wear it outside without risking flashing a poor pedestrian due to the over-large neckline. Ignis is the only one who can wear his shirts without it looking like a dress, and Ignis is not the sort of man who would be caught dead wandering around in a Cup Noodles Limited Edition Anniversary T-shirt. Rosea, however, is all about that shit. She just has to use a hair-tie to tighten it up a bit.

Ignis' clothes are likewise highly unlikely to be stolen, less due to size restrictions and more stylistic concerns. Sure, Noct, Prompto, and Rosea have stolen a button-up to wander around his apartment, but other than a spare few Crownsguard kit, the only comfy clothes Ignis' owns are for sleeping. And the consequences for stealing Ignis' sleeping clothes are dire.

Noctis and Prompto swap clothes pretty much all the time, except for when it comes to Prom's muscle-tees. Noctis is not about showing that much arm. Noct is slightly larger in the waist, and tends to wear cargo shorts, so Prompto doesn't usually steal his pants overmuch, except that one pair of jeans that makes both their asses look fantastic. He steals those as much as he can. It's been basically impossible to tell who owns which band-tee or videogame-tee since high school, so those are considered 'communal'.

Rosea occupies the exact opposite of the spectrum as Gladio, in which the world is her oyster and none of the guys can fit into her clothes. Well, Prompto and Noctis can fit her shirts, but they're tight in a way that's awkward rather than sexy, so they don't. Her over-sized sweatshirts are sometimes up for grabs, but Prompto is the only one who is willing to sport a bright-pink sweatshirt that says 'DEATH BY PASTA'. That said, she's not a fan of the muscle-tees either, so she's fighting with Noct for clothing real-estate most days. They usually settle disputes by way of Noct lending her his 'good sweatshirt', which is a black hoodie that matches the sixteen other ones he owns, but is inexplicably softer and warmer despite them all being by the same manufacturer.

Rosea is also the main Ignis-shirt-thief. She has a deathwish.

26. How do they comfort each other?

Gladio isn't the best with his words, especially when it comes to times of extreme stress, but he is confident in his ability to do things for others. You need laundry done? He can put things in a washer. Too tired to buy food? Grocery store is a short walk away. Just need to pretend the world doesn't exist for a bit? He can be distracting, any way you need. Just tell him. Please just tell him what to do to help.

Ignis, similarly, is one to do things for others, but he is going to look for the things left unsaid. He'll schedule doctors appointments, make funeral arrangements, contact school/work. He'll pick up the heaviest emotional load he can find and try to carry it. If it is for his partners, he will move mountains.

Noctis doesn't know how to do the manual things, but he knows how to be there. Just, physically, he will be there. With a video game, a movie marathon, or just a quiet place to nap. Noctis shows he cares by showing up. It's all he ever wants from anyone else, after all.

Prompto, surprisingly, is the one who will talk about it. He spent most of his childhood dealing with the hard stuff on his own. He knows how hard it is not to have anyone to talk to. He also knows how hard it is to start. He'll lead the conversation away from the rough stuff if it feels like it's too much, but he'll try to keep the conversation flowing. And if he can make the other person laugh, then he will count that as a win. Laughter cures all wounds, right?

Rosea is sort of a mix. She grew up around Noct, Ignis, and Gladio, so she knows when to just take over everything and when to not touch things. Her best trait is her ability to feel out what the other person needs, and do that. If she's honest, though, the only thing she wants when she's in need of comfort is a hug. Physical affection, though something she struggles with initiating, would be her go-to.

28. Do they get along with each other’s friends and family?

LONG AND LOADED QUESTION.

For obvious reasons, their relationship is somewhat of a secret. Ignis and Gladio are a known quantity, having declared their relationship long before the polycule had formed and out of necessity for the sake of their jobs. Noctis and Prompto occupy that weird liminal space of; they are are totally dating but Noct is the Crown Prince so absolutely no one is going to say it. Rosea is sort of the odd-man out when it comes to people being 'aware' of the relationships, to the point where she's almost a reverse-beard; her being around them is but not 'dating' any of them pretty firmly cements their whole deal as platonic, even though it very much is not.

Gladio:

Gladio and Ignis' Uncle have an odd relationship. This is because Ignis' Uncle is awkward on purpose, for his own amusement. Gladio is doing his best, and one day will realize Avernettus is fucking with him. Until that day, however? Until that day, being in a room with these two is either extremely uncomfortable or extremely funny, depending on who you are.

Gladio and Noct's Dad have a very good relationship, given that Gladio has known Regis most of his life. It's awkward when Regis stalwartly (ignorantly) insists that Gladio call him Uncle Reggie, a thing Gladio has never done and will never do, but otherwise it is pleasant.

Gladio and Cor have a friendly student-mentor relationship. Gladio is terrified that Cor will murder him if he ever finds out Gladio is dating his daughter. Nyx is a wild-card, operating more as a co-worker than a mentor to Gladio. Nyx is also the only one outside of the relationship that knows Rosea is involved with him (specifically Gladio and Ignis), which means Gladio is maybe minding himself more around him than he might otherwise. Nyx thinks this is hysterical.

Gladio has not met Prompto's parents.

Ignis:

Ignis gets on well enough with Clarus, though it is a rather formal relationship. They don't acknowledge the logistical problems with Ignis' dating Gladio (the need of an Amicitia heir), and being co-workers of a sort makes the situation necessitate formality at most points, but Clarus is admittedly fond of Ignis, even if he struggles to show it.

Ignis also has a very good relationship with Regis, though with the same issues as Gladio has. He also refuses to call him Uncle Reggie, much to Regis' unending disappointment.

Ignis and Cor are friendly, though the relationship has always been rather distant. Mostly, Cor feels weird knowing this kid has been his 'co-worker' since he was six and 'employee' since he was sixteen, but they work it out. It helps that Cor is completely oblivious when it comes to his daughter's relationships. Nyx and Ignis have a much more convivial relationship, though Nyx has given Ignis the shovel-talk and maybe hits him a bit harder in spars than he used to.

Ignis has only ever met Prompto's parents in passing. They are pleasant, if absent.

Noctis:

Noctis obviously knows Clarus, and notably did call him Uncle Clarus when he was much younger. He pretends he doesn't remember this. He still finds Clarus to be somewhat annoying, but they are close.

Noctis and Avernettus are a weird combination, as Ignis' Uncle is considerably more formal with the prince than he might like. This is evened out as Noctis gets older and realizes half of what Avernettus says is a thinly-veiled dick joke.

Noctis is friendly with both Cor and Nyx, but more-so Cor. Nyx is still working his way into Noctis' trust, as the Drautos Situation has left a sour taste in his mouth that he just can't shake. It also doesn't help that Nyx is a bit of an ass. It's growing on him, though.

Noctis has never met Prompto's parents.

Prompto:

Clarus scares the shit out of him. There is nothing the Lord Shield can do to lessen this fear, not that he has done anything to really try and mend it. Clarus feels that a healthy amount of fear is good for the boy. Given his anxiety, however, everyone else agrees this isn't strictly true.

Regis also scares the shit out of Prompto, but less because he is scary and more because he is the King and that's a perfectly valid reason to be concerned thank you very much. Regis thinks Prompto is a good boy, and is glad that Noctis has such a good friend. No one is sure if Regis realizes Noct and Prompto are more than friends. No one is willing to ask.

Cor and Nyx also scare the shit out of Prompto. Are you sensing a theme? To be very fair to Prompto, he does have the worst end of this relationship when it comes to parents. Nyx is doing his best to break Prompto out of his shell, however.

Prompto has never met Avernettus, and Ignis intends to keep it that way.

Rosea:

Clarus and her don't get on. She's 80% sure he hates her guts, and she does everything in her power to stay under his radar. Clarus doesn't actually realize she misunderstands him to such a degree, but he does think she's reckless and a bit childish. In his mind, she's just Cor #2. Which, while not an entirely incorrect approach, does nothing to account for the fact that she has zero positive memories of him to outweigh the 'tough love'. It's going to be weird when this particular bubble bursts.

Regis adores her. He can't help it, he's a father at heart, and he still remembers when she was a little toddler strapped to Cor's chest. Rosea is acutely aware that His Majesty sees her as a baby, and probably always will, and does her best to navigate this despite it being extremely fucking annoying. She has never called him Uncle Reggie, and he's long since given up trying. He's just happy if she calls him Regis, instead of Your Majesty.

Rosea and Avernettus have a silent respect for each other. They can have an entire conversation of dick-jokes without ever seeming like they have said anything crass. Ignis does everything in his power to keep them separate, since he finds the whole thing deeply embarrassing.

Rosea has only met Prompto's parents in passing. They are fond of her, specifically because she helped get Prompto's literature grades up. She doesn't like them, but she's civil.

oh you pair beat around the bush a whole lot. it’s pretty much unspoken for the first year or so. although you never said it to each other, you both knew.

it wasn’t until sunghoon had left you for a little bit while he went on tour (not left as in broke up, just went out of the country lmao idk how to write that in a coherent sentence big sorry) that you realised that you should probably say it. he returned home and it was on that day that you told him you loved him while nestled against his chest in a satisfying hug after such a long time apart. he said it back straight away, looking down at you and waiting expectedly for your lips to meet with his.

he was always waiting for you to say it first, there were moments when he thought he should just say it, but he wanted to wait, he wanted to hear you say it.

usually, sunghoon wakes up before you. he gets up before you wake up too, and sits and stares at the wall with a blank mind, just to wake himself up a bit. once you get up, he’s gonna ask if you wanna go back to bed again and cuddle and/or watch some tv together when he has a day off. if you agree, he’d bring some toast with him for you both to eat. but if not, you’d just grab some cereal together and eat while sat around your dining table in silence because he does not want to talk first thing in the morning (valid,,, extremely valid)

sunghoon is a big fan of evening dates as opposed to going somewhere during the day. everywhere is quieter and this is usually his free time so you have him all to yourself, you can do whatever you want together. as much as he enjoys going to fancy restaurants, bars and what not (which usually take you into the late hours of the night), he’d still rather spend some time at home with you.

on those nights that he can spend at home with you, he likes to just rest with you. chilling on the sofa just watching some episodes of your favourite show, ordering a takeaway. you share your thoughts about the show and that’s all you really talk about while it’s on, but afterwards you talk about your day and head to bed, where you cuddle until you both fall asleep (which is pretty quickly since you stayed up late to watch more tv)

like anyone, he overshares when you first start dating due to nerves. you learn a lot about him through this and he’s actually pretty grateful that you do the same thing. you pretty much know everything about him before actually getting into a relationship. throughout the relationship, he’d never try to hide his feelings about certain things and would be pretty hurt if you used things that he’d told you against him.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

with you, he doesn’t get that angry. you’d have to do something really vile for him to show actual aggression and disappointment. with other people, it’s not so simple. he finds a lot of things that other people do irritating but he wouldn’t show his anger there and then. he’s more likely to go home and get angry there. he’d appreciate someone to talk to about it, a shoulder to cry on perhaps. definitely an angry crier (cries when he’s angry) and likes to slam doors to make a point.

he’s not afraid of confrontation when something that someone did is actually wrong. he will stand up for what he believes in and it’s worth putting a friendship on the line given their opposing opinions.

this bitch acts SO dumb when you ask him stuff but he knows… he knows everything. everything you’ve ever said is stored in his brain, probably written in his notes app as a back up. he’s ready to spring this knowledge on you at any point. he knows exactly what you like and what you dislike, important dates, about your childhood, he even remembers how certain things he did made you feel, so he could do them more or avoid them in the future. but of course, if you ask him, he knows nothing.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

you weren’t even together officially at this point, but when he turned up at your place on prom night. he’ll never forget how stunned he was when he saw you looking all glamorous that evening. you had some photos taken as a pair, egged on by your friends of course because you’d never normally do that, and he looks at them a lot. he can’t help but think how great you look as a couple (and how you two are going to look on wedding photos 🥺). he had a rose prepared for you, a white one because he knew it would go with your outfit, whatever colour it was and also because of its symbolism. he really wanted to confess when he handed it to you, but he over thought it a lot and the moment ended up passing too quickly. that’s his favourite memory. something that he’ll never forget.

i know i said he got jealous a lot, but he’d distance himself when it actually came to it. he’d be jealous in his own space until you two were alone rather than being protective while the act that made him feel that way was ongoing. as i mentioned above, he does indeed want you all to himself, but he’d hate to cause unnecessary drama and have you lose friends over a silly misunderstanding.

if you were clearly very uncomfortable around someone, he’d be there with an arm wrapped around you. you’d both like to think that his presence alone is intimidating enough, but sometimes he has to resort to harsh one liners to get them to back off.

i don’t think he’d ever get into a physical fight. it’s not that you’re not worth it, but he just feels it would make the situation worse.

he really wants to put a lot of effort into your dates, but he finds it difficult because one, he has no time and two, he doesn’t want to disappoint you/organise something you end up hating. most dates are spontaneous and on a whim, but also like… planned in both of your minds. like you know you want to go and you know he wants to go, but it’s not confirmed that it will actually happen until the time of the date if that makes sense. when it comes to it, he gets really shy asking you out on dates, so you’ve kind of just started to read each other’s minds lmao.

he never forgets your birthday or your anniversary. he makes a big deal out of your anniversary because it’s a celebration of you both, he wants to make you feel special and will do everything he can to do so. you pair make your own traditions when it comes to days like that, and he looks forward to them a lot. your birthday is pretty much left down to you (other than his gift for you of course). he doesn’t want to do a poor job of planning anything for your special day so he just leaves it and hopes that you do something instead, if you wanted a party you should have organised it. he would help you plan it thought, anything you want he’d do for you.

his gifts are always things that you like. things that you can treasure and things that you can display and show off are his go to. jewellery is a common gift that you receive from him and every single piece that he’s picked out is so delicate and beautiful.

when you pair are out with mutual friends, he likes to tease you. sometimes he takes it too far without realising it, the atmosphere becomes tense and he becomes even more awkward and wants to leave the situation just to apologise to you but realises it will probably make everything 10 times more awkward.

he’s a handsome teenager surrounded by other pretty people of course he’s gonna have some concerns about how he looks. actually i don’t think concerns would be the right word. he’s very confident in his appearance, why wouldn’t he be, but he also thinks that everyone else should be too, everyone is attractive in their own way. in reality, he’s very humble about how handsome he is despite constantly flexing his visuals lmao.

you do a lot for him, not just as in help him out with cooking or whatever, but his mental state. you’ve allowed him to mature a lot and he’s become more emotionally intelligent with you.

It was a drunk slip when Hongseok said "It's just like Wooseok! He is so whipped for Y/N but doesn't make a move because he's intimidated by her." The words slurred through his intoxicated lips.

You were sure that if Wooseok was there, he would have smacked Hongseok in the back of the head, but everyone that was there just giggled and joked at his expense. But you were also there and you don't think they were aware that you had a huge crush on Wooseok as well. Or they actually did, and letting you know about his side was part of some sort of evil plan.

Either way, since that day you tried to reach out to Wooseok, but there just wasn't a good moment. He probably heard about what happened from some of the other boys and was extra shy around you. You decided to give him some time and just be a normal friend to him, so he would start acting normal again.

It was a normal hang-out day and you went to the kitchen to get everyone some drinks. Wooseok arrived with the food and entered the room struggling with a bunch of bags in his hands.

"Here, let me help you" you took a few bags and placed them on top of the table, making it easier for him to manage around the ones left for him.

Once done with the food, you two stood awkwardly in silence.

"Hey" you smiled shyly, realizing you hadn't greeted him yet.

"Hey, Y/N" he answered just as shyly as you did, it was adorable to see the blush on his cheeks.

You just stared at each other with the dumbest smile on your faces, but you decided that being alone with him while the others played videogame was a good opportunity to come forward with your feelings.

You both spoke at the same time and giggled at the coincidence, but he motioned for you to go first.

"I believe the boys told you about what Hongseok said the other day" you began

"I'm really sorry about that, he's just being silly" he scratched the back of his head, messing with his fluffy hair.

"No, it's fine" you reached up and gently grabbed his hand, holding it in between both of yours. His doe-eyes widened in surprise, but you just continued "are you really intimidated by me?"

"No!" He answered anxiously "I mean, yes, but no" he stumbled onto his words and you giggled and squeezed the hand you were holding, trying to give him some reassurance. "It's just, you're the coolest, you know? I don't know what to do around you, I'm afraid to make a fool out of myself."

"You're cool as well, you idiot" you chuckled at the last word "and you are one of the coolest boys I know, you don't have to be self-conscious around, really."

"Thank you" he said, smiling at you.

You didn't think much, just let go of his hands and reached up to cup his cheek, caressing it with your thumb, and he immediately leaned into your touch. You took a deep breath, gathered some courage, and stepped closer to him. His gaze darted from your eyes to your lips, and his hands shyly rested on both sides of your waist.

You were so close now that you could feel his hot breath against your face, and his eyes closed when you leaned further. You felt your lips grazing his, and your stomach filled up with butterflies of anticipation when suddenly a yell interrupted

"I smell fried chicken! Did Wooseok arrive with the food?!" Shinwon shouted from the living room, and you could hear the other agreeing

You sighed and buried your head on the crook of Wooseok's neck out of frustration.

"Yes, you freaking vultures, the food is here" you turned around, shouting back.

Before leaving the room, you looked back at him, who stood motionless, probably processing what almost happened, and you shot him a wink, making a small grin rise on the corner of his lips.

After dinner, everyone agreed to put on a movie, and you sat on the couch next to Wooseok, who you have been exchanging smiles and secret looks all night long, but unfortunately no opportunity to be alone again.

Under the covers, you gently slid your hand under his, to which he immediately intertwined your fingers together.

Everyone was paying close attention to the movie, eyes glued on the screen, and you decided it was a good opportunity to scoot closer to him without dragging unnecessary attention. Wooseok caught up on you, and also moved closer, releasing your hand only to put his arm around your shoulder.

This time it was Wooseok who made the first step, nuzzling your cheeks quietly, making goosebumps rise on your skin. You leaned into him, turning your head teasingly slow, biting your lip to provoke him.

Your lips actually touched his this time and you sighed in content, but just when you were going to deepen the kiss a jump scare happened in the movie, startling everyone, and consequently startling you. Rather than being frustrated, you and Wooseok started giggling, causing a few curious looks to you two.

Maybe they all noticed you two because when the movie ended everyone acted awkwardly, and they all decided they had to leave, rushing their ways outside and leaving you and Wooseok behind.

The door closed behind them and silence filled the room. Suddenly you felt shy and you and Wooseok stood awkwardly facing each other, neither of you certain of what to do next.

"So," you broke the silence "I guess we're alone now."

"I guess" a small smile lit upon his face

"So what do we do now?" You asked, fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.

"I don't know" he chuckled embarrassedly.

Without saying another word you got closer, smiling shyly at each other. When you moved to end the distance between you, so did Wooseok, you accidentally bumping a shoe against his, almost tripping. He caught you and chuckled, your embarrassment growing.

"Not that intimidating anymore, am I?", you laughed.

"Not much", he laughed with you. "Come here". He pulled you closer, holding you by the hips.

You moved closer, straightening your back to reach him and end the distance between you, only to see him doing the same. Your noses touched first, leaving you with half-closed eyes and confused expressions. You couldn't help but giggle even if Wooseok looked embarrassed about it.

"This isn't working. Seriously, what does the world have against us kissing?", he said with a pout.

"Let's go slow". You smiled, gently moving your hands to his cheeks, guiding both of your movements.

Your lips touched and while it was sweet, it was a bit weird as both of you had your eyes open to monitor how you'd move. Both of you backed away with a laugh but nodded at each other as a mock concentration agreement. When you moved next, it was wonderful. The kiss fit perfectly, a gentle peck of lips first but then Wooseok took the initiative to deepen the kiss, his tongue gently prying your lips open.

You sighed into the kiss, a whole day of pent-up want finally coming out. His hands started to caress your sides, running up and down gently and you smiled into the kiss. Your thumbs retributed the caresses on his cheeks, to which he only took as a sign to kiss you deeper, bodies now moving with the kiss, feeling each other slowly.

It was a sweet slow make-out session and you couldn't be happier. When the air was needed you pulled back, hiding your face on Wooseok's neck, your new favorite place. He kissed your head and gently pried you away from your hiding spot, a sweet smile on his face. Staring at each other in silence wasn't as awkward as it was before but your mind was torn. You had no idea what you were supposed to do now and apparently neither did he.

"I think I want to kiss you more", he said and you smiled wider, not needing to decide anything.

"I do too", you answered.

"Good thing we have time and space now", Wooseok seemed to be way more relaxed now.

You didn't even answer, you pulled him down for another kiss and gently moved both of you to the couch. Sitting down, you managed to hold him close and make out more and more at ease. After a few minutes of not many words and a lot of kissing, both of you just held each other, giving small pecks once in a while.

"We should do this more often", you said.

"I won't complain if we do", Wooseok was smiling beautifully.

"Wanna watch a movie?"

"Won't it end too late? How will I leave?"

"That's actually my goal", you laughed. "Stay". He kissed you again before answering as if he couldn't help himself.

🍄The first date with Law was interesting, nothing really seemed to be going right. Considering he is an ex-warlord. Having both other pirates and even Marines after him, led to a chaotic date which resulted in having to run away from all these people. Eventually when using Room and escaping back to the Polar Tang, Law and {Name} could just laugh at how that went. But luckily, Law just made them some quick dinner and they spent the night just relaxing and spending time together which is not a bad end.

🍄One of the more affectionate gestures was something as simple as holding hands, which was also the first affection the two of them shared as a couple. {Name} was feeling a bit shaken up and scared when Law grabbed their hand to reassure them, using his thumb to caress their hand gently.

🍄The first kiss was actually something that went right for once. They were able to have a little makeshift date with no trouble nor any chaotic interruptions, and when Law felt that it was okay. He lifted their chin, holding their gaze for a few seconds as they registered what was happening and blushed, he smirked as he planted his lips against theirs, soft and gentle movements as he felt them falling deeper into the kiss.

🍄{Name} was actually the first one to say 'I love you', Law felt it, though held back by hesitation to actually articulate it and put it into words. Words honestly could not fully capture how he felt for them and Law considered things like 'I love you' to be both perfect and lacking. For once {Name} saw Law fumbling over his words when trying to convey this to them.

🍄Even though the two had been together for a while, shared hugs, kisses and holding hands. Dates and near death encounters alike, the two had never shared a bed or slept in the same space. It was a bit awkward the first time they shared a bed since Law wasn't one for sleeping all the way through and his rest came in the form of short naps. He was reading a book while {Name} awkwardly laid there just trying to gather the nerve to initiate a snuggle. Law picked up on it, smiling at how nervous they looked. Pulling them into his side and cradling them with his arm. Needless to say, the two were a bit too nervous to sleep around each other the first time.

🍄Sharing a bed was already considered an intimate experience to the two of them and another instance was when {Name} had fallen ill. Law had taken care of them, but due to it being a rather unusual disease caused by a parasite on one of the prehistoric islands, {Name} was left bedridden for quite a few days. Midorima - To your discontent, Midorima made sure to keep a respectful distance from you as you sat down to watch the movie. Now, you’re at Midorima’s place for the first time and it’s just the two of you… separated by an arm’s length of empty space on the couch. Why pick a horror movie with no intention of comforting me? you think of your apathetic boyfriend. A jump-scare flashes the screen, and your instinct jolts you to grab Aomine’s arm, to bury your face in the side of his neck. He doesn’t even flinch. Realizing how close you now were, your flushed face slowly looks up to meet his eye.
