Ceres was an Air Nomad born in 12 BG and the Guardian of her younger brother, Avatar Aang during the Hundred Year War, succeeding Guardian Sora and preceding Guardian Katrina. As the Guardian of her time, she was the second person capable of using all four bending arts: airbending, waterbending, earthbending, and firebending. She was also one of a select few Guardians and one of the first in many cycles to learn the ancient art of energybending as well as the first Guardian known to have actively used the technique.

Shortly before the beginning of the Hundred Year War, Ceres was frozen in an iceberg with Aang for a hundred years; she later emerged, still biologically sixteen years old, into a world engulfed by war. During her absence, the Fire Nation had waged war upon the other nations and managed to completely wipe out the pacifistic Air Nomads. It fell to Ceres and her brother, the Avatar and the Guardian, and the last two airbenders, to end the War by mastering the other three elements and defeating Fire Lord Ozai.

She remained a kind and good-hearted girl at heart throughout her year-long struggle, despite the overwhelming loss of her people, the heavy burdens she was forced to bear, and looking after her younger brother. After her victory over the Phoenix King, Ceres began a romantic relationship with Fire Lord Zuko. The couple eventually married and raised a family of three children: Izumi, the oldest, a nonbender who became Fire Lord later in life; Kuzon, a firebender; and the youngest, Gyatso, an airbender.

History:

Ceres was born to two Air Nomads in 12 BG. After selecting the Guardian relics from among thousands of toys, thereby inadvertently confirming her identity as the Guardian, she was taken away by the monks of the Western Air Temple, who kept her position a secret from her to the Southern Air Temple. As an Air Nomad, Ceres traveled extensively around the world. During her childhood, Ceres was housed, raised, and educated at the Southern Air Temple, under the guardianship of Monk Gyatso, who served as her father figure, counselor, and tutor.

As a child, Ceres was a member of the Air Scouts, where she learned essential skills such as how to tie reins to a bison's horns with the bison horn knot. After some time, she and several other young Air Nomad girls were taken to the Eastern Air Temple where they each chose a sky bison as their lifelong companion. On that day, Ceres named her bison Kaida, thus marking the start of their deep and lifelong friendship.

Ceres was always able to excel at any new bending moves she learned; at the age of six, she was a better airbender than children twice her age, and by the age of ten, Ceres had proven herself to be better than her own teachers. She earned airbending tattoos and the status of an airbending master by the age of ten for exhibiting prodigious talent with her native element, making her the youngest airbending master in Air Nomad history, next to Aang. Later on, she meets her newborn brother, Aang and with Gyatso, Ceres helps raised Aang, forming a strong bond.

As she raises Aang, she discovers that he selected the Avatar relics from among thousands of toys, thereby inadvertently confirming that Aang is the Avatar. Over the years, their bond became deeper as Ceres sees Aang as her son while Aang sees Ceres as his mother, since Ceres sings him songs, dancing with him, play with him and looking out for him to keep Aang safe so he doesn't hurt himself.

In her teen years, Ceres and Aang also visited the other air temples, as evidenced by his obvious familiarity with the Western Air Temple, as well as cities in the Earth Kingdom, such as Omashu, where Ceres and Aang developed a lasting friendship with the good-natured but eccentric Bumi. She and Aang even bonded closely with children in the Fire Nation, like Kuzon, with whom they went searching for a dragon in the mountains and saved a dragon egg from poachers.

Due to the signs of a possible war approaching, Aang was told about his status as the Avatar at age twelve, four years earlier than the traditional age of sixteen, which is similar for the Protector. Aang felt burdened by his status as the other children refused to play with him anymore and he came to spend more time practicing airbending with the monks. Monk Gyatso and Ceres were the only ones who showed understanding of Aang's burden, with Gyatso having been good friends with Avatar Roku and Guardian Sora, Ceres's and Aang's past lives, and tried to help ease Aang through the transition from childhood to adulthood by providing Aang with balance through fun during the upheaval in his life with Ceres, who stayed by Aang's side throughout his entire life, having Aang to never want to leave her and never want to see her getting hurt.

However, Aang and Ceres later discovered that they would be sent to the Eastern Air Temple in order to complete their airbending training far away from Monk Gyatso, whom the other monks thought was too soft on him. Afraid and confused, the two airbenders ran away with their flying bisons, Appa and Kaida, though they became caught in a storm shortly after, which caused them to crash into the water.

Aang and Ceres saved themselves, Appa and Kaida from drowning by semi-consciously entering the Avatar and Guardian States and freezing them both in a sphere of ice through a combination of airbending and waterbending. The Avatar and Guardian States kept them alive, albeit not fully conscious, in the iceberg for about a hundred years while the war raged on.

Trivia:

• Ceres means "Nourishment" in Latin.

• Unlike the color of their Avatar siblings' firebending, the color of the Guardian's yellow instead of orange. But that's only after they're revealed as the next Avatar and Guardian, that's how everyone can tell which sibling is the Avatar and the other is the Guardian, by the color of their firebending.

• Ceres is the first Guardian who can use bloodbending, but vows to never use it again.

• Ceres is the first Guardian who can use metalbending after convincing Toph to teach her.

Summary: Kyouka was a young girl with magical powers and the potential to transform into the Fairy of Lightning. She was playing in her secret cave when a thunderstorm happened, terrifying her. Atsushi came running to the cave to look for her.

A/N 1: The result of me binging Winx Club all the way to Butterflix (bless me idk what season that is, but I hanged on for the unicorn) made me want to do a fairy AU, but I have no idea what other fairies are like so I made a Fairy AU with references to Winx.

The afternoon sun hung in a cloudless blue sky, beating down on her mercilessly. Kyouka squinted into the sun, and found herself smiling. The weather was hot but perfect for a trip down to their special cave. She trekked the familiar path across the forest, a melodious hum flowing from her. The trees grew close with their limbs stretching in every direction to form an interlocking canopy overhead which provided her a temporal shade from the relentless sun. The short trek through the forest brought her to the mouth of the tunnel, and she wiped away the sweat that had beaded on her forehead before stepping into the tunnel.

A draft of wind blew from ahead, cooling the tunnel. She took small and soft steps, not wishing to disturb the silence in the cave. A familiar soft glow emanating from ahead served as her guidepost, leading her closer to her spot - a small rough rock outcropping which served as a small ledge fit for two. The tunnel opened up ahead to her spot and she took her seat. Her legs dangled freely in the air as she took in the magnificent view ahead of her. Crystals of varying shapes and sizes grew on the rocks, illuminating the small cavern with a soft hue of blue. A sense of calm swept through her, and any tension and stress that she had felt throughout the week faded.

She conjured a small ball of bright white light in her palm and flicked it to the middle of the cavern. The light from the ball fizzled and crackled as it reflected on the crystals close to it, and there was a burst of rainbows stretching and filling the small cavern. With another flick, the ball drifted down to the floor of the cave, to the spot where she knew the prettiest rainbow would form. It took a second but the ball never failed. The arc of colours stretched from the cave floor, reaching to the top of the cave, cutting through the soft blue hue from the rest of the crystals, a beautiful mix of colours with the soft brightness of the blue. She felt her lips tug up in a small smile at the beauty of it. The perfection in the arch of the rainbow and the soft glow had stirred a wistful desire in her for him to be here to see its perfection – her masterpiece, before it disappears.

The sound was faint, but it had caught her attention. She froze, her legs stopping in mid-swing and waited, hoping that the sound would not return.

CRACKKKK.

With all her attention on it, she heard it clearer now – the distant crack of a thunder. She shifted back into the tunnel and turned to look back down the way she had come. She heaved a sigh of relief at her realisation that she was too far from the tunnel mouth to see the flashes of lightning. She looked back to the cave and saw that her rainbow had disappeared, leaving the cave bathed in a blue glow again. The unnaturalness of the blue glow brought a slight prickling over her skin as uneasiness crept up on her. Images of the past few days of practice flashed through her mind - the bluish glow to her mother’s bolt of lightning and her own reluctance to shoot a bolt of lightning, her mother’s clear disappointment and her cowering under her blanket. She stopped herself there, not willing to see the next image that came, and pulled her knees to her chest, burying her head in them with her eyes and ears closed.

Time ticked by. The roar of the thunder had been replaced by a soft patter of rain a while ago. Her eyes darted to the mouth of the tunnel and she contemplated if she should take the risk and dash back home. She swept her gaze across the small area, while she weighed her options. If she waited the storm out, at least she would be -

“KYOUKA!”

His voice was loud and it echoed down the tunnel to her. Her gaze flickered back down the tunnel, but the tunnel was too dark to make out his silhouette. She strained her ears, and heard a faint tread of footsteps coming her way.

“ARE YOU HERE, KYOUKA?” He called again, his voice reverberating in the tunnel. The echoes sounded frighteningly eerie, yet it did not mask the concern in his voice.

“ATSUSHI! HERE!”

She stood up and waved wildly. She could make out a dark silhouette some distance ahead of her. He ran down the tunnel, his footfalls loud and hurried in the tunnel, as he called out that he was coming. She felt some of her uneasiness slipped away as he slowly came into focus. He stopped in front of her, his breathing short and raspy.

“Glad… glad you’re … okay,” he croaked out between breaths.

She forced the tear of relief trapped in her throat back down and nodded. Atsushi stood to a side, clutching the wall, as he sucked in deep breaths. His wet hair was plastered to his face, and he trembled slightly from the cold. His blue cape was dripping droplets of water into the ground, forming a dark wet patch. With his breathing finally steadied, he pushed his hair back and drew his hand across his face, wiping it as dry as he could. His eyes met hers and a sheepish grin formed on his face.

“It’s just a little rain, don’t worry, ‘kay?” He paused, his eyes shifting to the glowing space. He took a few steps ahead and stopped at her spot. “It’s still as beautiful as the first time we found it, huh?” A small chuckle followed his words, as he stared off into the space.

She joined him and flicked her hand. The small ball of white light appeared again, fizzing with energy as it hovered in mid-air. The change was quick, and a few small rainbows stretched out from the crystals near the ball. She heard a sharp indrawn breath of awe from him and felt a slight grin tug at the corners of her mouth. Her eyes closed for the moment, listening to his steady breathing and his soft ‘wow’. Her eyes flew open at a slight touch on her hand and shifted down to see his hand resting against hers. Slowly, she closed her hand around his, the heat of her hand warm against his cold hand. Like he was snapped out of a reverie, his gaze turned and locked onto hers. The flash of surprise in his eyes was quickly replaced by what seemed to be shocked happiness, and then embarrassment. There was a tinge of pink in his cheeks and she could feel a flush heating her own cheeks too. An awkward silence stretched out between them as she fixed her eyes on him. Even with his head turned now, she could hear the cogs in his brain working up something to say, and she waited, wanting to give him the chance. She heard a low muttering from him, and bit back a question that was already forming on her lips.

Atsushi took a deep breath and cleared his throat. “Um, actually, I came back to the kingdom, because um… I needed to tell you something.” He paused for a moment, and took another deep breath. “Kyouka, I like you. Will you come -, no wait, will you be my –”

The rock underneath her feet started to vibrate, its intensity increasing by the second. She looked around and saw the cave shaking. The cave was rumbling and vibrating with an intensity she had never felt before, and as the ledge they were standing on quaked even harder, she heard it - a loud crack. In that split second, she felt a hand shoved her backwards and her hand reached out blindly to grasp only air. She stumbled back into the safe confines of the tunnel with her hand still outstretched. She waved the swirling cloud of rock dust away, and looked over the edge. Her eyes went wide with horror.

“Atsushi!” She cried out, before she leapt down after him.

There was a dazzling flash of bright light above his eyes. He saw her, a transformed fairy now, flying towards him with her hand outstretched. He could hear her shouting something, but he was too stunned to react as he continued to fall. “She’s beautiful…” was all he could think of as he stared blankly at her outstretched hand, now inches from his. He could just reach it if he stretched. She was still shouting something at him, though it was getting clearer.

“-my hand, take it! DAMN IT, ATSUSHI!”

Something in her voice jolted him, and he found himself stretching his hand out to meet hers. He felt her hand clasped around his, followed by a sharp pull, arresting his falling momentum. His eyes darted around wildly at the realisation that he was inches from the cave floor and that Kyouka had saved him again. He gazed at her with gratefulness in his eyes, as she set him down on the ground below before falling to an exhausted heap beside him.

She was gorgeous in her fairy form. Her outfit was a simple yellow ombre off shoulder dress with sparkles that shimmered, and it was completed with an orange ankle heeled boots. Her dark blue hair flowed to her waist and a white headband with what seemed to be golden stars sat atop her head. But it was her wings which drew his attention. The wings were a translucent blue with what seemed to be an intricate pattern of forked lightning paths along the edges of her wings ending with a ball of light at each tip. She looked ethereal, like an angel from the heavens descended onto their kingdom to grace him with her beauty.

“What? Atsushi, stop staring.”

He turned away, a blush warming his cheeks. “Sor-sorry. Didn’t mean to.”

She heaved a sigh. “It’s fine. Give me a minute to catch my breath.”

“Okay,” he paused, realising what it was that he had heard from her voice. “Sorry for scaring you, and, and thank you for saving my life.”

Her breathing was loud in the silence that followed, as she settled them into regularity.

“Please, don’t, don’t ever do something like this again.” He heard the trace of fear in her voice, despite her clear efforts to suppress them.

He nodded and took a glance at her. Though she hadn’t complained, he could see the exhaustion in the sagging of her shoulders. He looked up to the small hole, where they had been earlier. It was high, and it would take her some effort to get them both up. He had to look for an alternative way out of here instead of exhausting her even further.

“Kyouka, can you stay here for a moment?” Her eyebrow arched upwards at his request. “I’m just going to take a quick look around, and see if there’s any other way out. I’ll be back in a mo-mo-, what?” He had stopped at the frown on her face.

“I’ll just fly us up later. Just let me rest a little first.” She answered in exasperation, while she shifted to lean against the face of a rock that was jutting out of the ground.

“But-” he started to protest.

“Atsushi, if there is no other way out, you’re going to tell me to just fly up on my own right?” His eyes went wide at her words. “As I expected. Well, I’m not taking no for an answer, okay? So, come sit here for a moment.” She patted the ground next to her, a wide but tired smile stretching her mouth, and he found himself settling into the small space next to her.

His gaze slid to her and he heard a voice in his head nagging at him to ask the same question he had asked her every year. The question tumbled out of his mouth before he could stop them. “Kyouka, do you want to come to Alfea next year?”

A moment of silence followed his words as she furrowed her brows in thought. “No.”

Surprise flitted through him at her answer. “Kyouka, but… but you’ve earned your fairy form! You should come –“

“No. I don’t want this power, I’m just-“ Her words trailed off into silence.

“Just what?” He prompted tentatively.

She bit her lower lip, and withdrew her knees to her chest. She locked her gaze with his, as though hoping to see something in them. When she spoke again, her voice was soft like a whisper and with a hint of uneasiness. “Just… just that I’m scared. I never liked the lightning, and it’s as if the heavens are playing a cruel joke on me by giving me this power. It’s like I’m being punished for what happened back then, that horrible day.”

She looked so small and vulnerable with her eyes closed, cowering in her own fear. He knew of that day, and he knew of her fear. What she hadn’t realised was that she was the one who had saved him that day. Her mind, too young to process the horror of that day that had unfolded in front of her, had sealed the memory in its deepest corners and in doing so, she had suppressed her own magic, limiting it to a small lightning ball. That was what the Queen had swore him to secrecy about a few years back. He looked at her shuddering small frame, and realised that he can no longer keep this a secret. He knew he had no rights to reveal it to her but she deserved to know. With his mind made up, he shuffled toward her to close the short gap between them and put his arm around her.

“Kyouka, listen to me for a moment, okay?” He paused. “That day, you didn’t injure anyone. You saved them.”

She shook her head. “Lies.”

“Kyouka, listen. I was the boy you saw!” There was a sharp intake of breath from her. He held up his hand, and continued, “The lightning... it’s trajectory, it was about to hit the tree I was hiding under. I saw the people running towards me, shouting at me to run towards the bubble that was floating towards me, but I was too scared to. My legs had turned weak, and I fell to the ground. I was so scared of the bolt that was to come, and I closed my eyes, thinking that it was the end. But the bolt never came. Do you know why, Kyouka?” A smile stretched across his face as he looked at her.

“Me?”

He nodded. “Yes, somehow, you, who had been watching the whole thing from the window, had subconsciously directed the lightning away, shooting it to the next tree. The queen had been so shocked when she saw it, but before she could even say anything, you had cried into her arms, and try as she might, she could never convince you to believe otherwise. It was like, you had sealed yourself off to the truth.”

“My mother? So that bolt, it never killed-?”

“Never. The bubble reached me in time and it shielded me from any other lightning attacks on my way back into the palace.”

A shocked silence followed, and he could see her face scrunched up, her mind processing the information he had just revealed,

“But why did she stop telling me about it? Did she lie?”

Hesitation slipped into his voice. “I think... I think she just wanted to protect you. You didn’t want to remember it, and she didn’t want you to hurt anymore, so....”

He let his words stretch into silence, giving her the time to think.

“Atsushi, I can’t say I definitely want to go to Alfea, but if I do… will you… will you help me?”

“Of course, that’s what, us, specialists do.” A smile entered his voice as he patted her.

“Even… if I lose control and become too scared?”

“Especially then.”

“What if… a storm happens and I’m… I’m too scared?”

“I’ll go to you and stay with you until you feel better.”

A small chuckle came out from her. “Are there no rules in Red Fountain?”

A laugh entered his voice, as he replied, “Well there have been seniors who have done it, so I don’t see why I can’t. I’ll risk it.”

Their laughter rang in the resounding silence, filling the small cavern. He looked at her to see that the fear and uneasiness from her had dissipated. He gave her a small pat on the head. “Kyouka, we should go.”

She nodded and got up. He took her hand and she carried them up past the remnants of the ledge and into the tunnel, stopping a short distance away from the mouth of the tunnel. There was another flash of light and she transformed back. Kyouka waited for him to stand before asking, “Ah, Atsushi! I just remembered, what were you about to ask me? You know, before you fell?”

His cheeks flushed red and he walked away quickly, mumbling, “I don’t remember!”

“Atsushi, hey, Atsushi!” She ran the few steps and caught him by his hand, pulling him to a stop. Her voice was a silky whisper as she teased him.. “The answer is yes, by the way.”

She ran ahead, laughing, stopping at the mouth of the tunnel with a bright smile on her face. He stood frozen in shock, his eyes locking with hers as a flush of heat warmed through him.

“Atsushi!” She called from where she stood. She looked so beautiful with the sunset framed behind her, the last rays of the sun stretching to reach her, bathing her in its remaining glow. Her smile was wide and bright, it was as if the storm in the day and the uneasiness she had felt earlier had not existed. She was like a ball of happiness and joy now, waving and smiling at him. He liked that about her, being able to smile with so much warmth. He ran up to her and pulled her into his embrace, just as another shower of rain fell upon them.

YAGAMI “TAI” TAICHI

Hero Name: Villain of Pride: Black-War-Grey Quirk: PRIDEFUL TYRANNOSAURUS Desc: With the power of his trait, PRIDEFUL TYRANNOSAURUS, Taichi can use his own words to boast his power; this power can become manifested into the form of outputted energy--through the means of fire or energy balls. Occupation / Dream: Villain Costume Design: In his youth, he stuck to a more primal style in his wardrobe; though as he grew older he created more for his armor. Having tyrannosaurus features ( his father’s quirk was Tyrannosaurus ), he has the feet of one but hands more human. He is dressed like BlackWarGreymon; armor pieces on everything but his thighs, which are exposed to allow him to move more freely.

Ishida “Matt” Yamato

Hero Name: Villain of Solidarity: BlackMetalGaruru Quirk: SOLIDARITY WOLF Desc: Through his bonds to other people, Yamato can draw on raw physical power to create “Storm of Solidarity”, allowing him to create lightning and electricity. Occupation / Dream: Villain Costume Design: Being part Wolf; Yamato has applied armor pieces across his body. In his youth as BlackWereGaruru, he used to have a more upright fighting style. But as Taichi changed his armor, so did Yamato to keep up with the other. A lot of his power gets stored and is used to power his armor, which in turn allows him to fly and use weaponry across his body.

TAKENOUCHI SORA

Hero Name: Villain of Animosity: Garuda Quirk: ANIMOSITY WINGS Desc: Through the understanding of true hate, Sora can create the “Wings of Animosity”, allowing her to draw on the raw power of “Hate”. Her bonds to others allows her to express hate openly and freely, creating a powerful fire from an overstimulation of her heart. Occupation / Dream: Villain Costume Design: Due to a bird quirk in her family; Sora has massive wings and stretches rather tall--roughly nine feet in height. Like her family, she takes up a more tribal style outfit.

TACHIKAWA MIMI

Hero Name: Villain of Manipulation: Lilly Quirk: MANIPULATION SPORE Desc: Mimi has the power to command those who are morally right into doing her bidding; though the more guilty they feel about an action dictates how well they listen. This plays into her plant based quirk that allows her to Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: Due to a flora quirk in her family, she has buggy eyes and a plant based appearance. She uses this appearance to make herself look more like a fairy. With a budded helmet and a budded armor dress.

IZUMI “IZZY” KOUSHIRO

Hero Name: Villain of Prerogative: MegaKabuteri Quirk: PREROGATIVE RHINOBEETLE Desc: Through the use of his knowledge of bug like creatures, Koushiro can transform into different bugs. Although, due to a family quirk, he finds it easier to transform into beetles. This quirk is mixed with a lightning quirk that allows him to shoot out electricity. Occupation / Dream: Villain Costume Design: Koushiro’s armor comes from molted plates in his bug forms, it’s the only thing he can use that allows him to retain clothing after transforming. He changes forms between a blue form he calls Kabuteri, and his bigger red form he called MegaKabuteri.

KIDO JO

Hero Name: Villain of Deception: Zudo Quirk: DECEPTIVE TESTUDINES Desc: Through the use of “telling the truth”, what he says can become true. However, he is limited to what truths he can tell. Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: Due to his size related quirk, he uses a major shell that belonged to his grandfather; a pro-hero whose quirk was Testudines, giving him a turtle appearance. Though his generation lost most of it’s physical attributes due to the quirk, when Jo gets big enough, his skin gains scales and a greying color.

TAKAISHI “T.K.” TAKERU

Hero Name: Villain of Anguish: Beezlebub Quirk: ANGUISH DEMON Desc: By causing emotional, mental, or physical pain to himself or others; Takeru gets a power high that allows him to grow, he can use this power to boast his defense or offense. Though only one at a time can use this power. Occupation / Dream: 3rd year Student / Villain Costume Design: Originally taking the form of a fallen angel; Takeru now takes the form of a demonic looking being riding a motorcycle. He uses a double barrel shotgun that funnels his power to make a powerful and destructive shot.

YAGAMI “KARI” HIKARI

Hero Name: Villain of Darkness: Lilith Quirk: DARKNESS EMBODIMENT Desc: Through the embodiment of Darkness, Hikari can transform the feeling of “dark” and all that is sinful into raw power. Occupation / Dream: 3rd year Student / Villain Costume Design: Originally, her and Takeru had similar appearances, being fallen angels. However, this soon changed as Hikari decided to become more of a Rated-R hero; though her ideas were rejected, she initially became a villain due to her quirk.

Digimon Frontier (Swap) Episode 26: Zoe's Unbeelievable Adventure (change title as you see fit)

The title should be changed to 'Chiaki's Unbeelievable Adventure', since Zoe/Izumi is nowhere to be found this episode, only Chiaki.

Trapped in the Wind area; a local of a green pasture with loads of wildflowers, Chiaki is trying to get out, unaware that the Honeybeemon -- Fairymon/Kazemon's fans -- are plotting to trap her. They try multiple types of traps, Wile. E. Coyote style -- pitfall trap, trying to trick Chiaki into sleeping when she's trying to get out, getting her regular food in the hopes of her stopping to be captured -- they don't work, up until they end up getting helped by The Honeybeemon then decide that it's not good to fight against Chiaki anyore -- she helped them, and even got them food! Of course, like that meme about consent, there's someon they forgot to ask...

Fairymon/Kazemon! She's actually upset at this point, wanting to get vengance from Chiaki for taking her last followers. Agnimon/Agunimon then proposes the idea to Fairymon/Kazemon: why not try to weaken Chiaki with a specialized apple? Fairymon/Kazemon immediately agrees with the plan, coating the apple into a firey poison that could induce fever dreams, and gives it to one of the Honeybeemon to give to Chiaki.

Unknowing of the purpose of the apple, yet happy to give Chiaki something from Fairymon/Kazemon, the Honeybeemon gives Chiaki the apple, whom bites into it... and faints from the sudden fever. the Honeybeemon are uset, about to get Chiaki something to quell the fever when Fairymon/Kazemon's silouette appears behind them.

In her dreams, Chiaki remembers at how people in her school looked down upon her for how 'unnormal' she was -- preferring more cool/edgy fashion over the more cutesy fashion most girls would prefer. There would be some scenes of her trying to stand up for herself, only to then get told off by teachers about 'try not to be so different instead'. Then, she starts realizing that she nearly became what she called Teppei out before -- a bully. She remembers how she hurt Zoe/Izumi and ostracsized her, and realized that she can't be like that anymore, and transforms into Rananmon in her dream, cooling her body temperature enough to get out of the dream.

Rananmon awakens to find the Honeybeemon being attacked by Fairymon/Kazemon -- all for betraying her, and goes all out against the fairy digimon, up until Fairymon/Kazemon becomes digital code, allowing Chiaki-as-Ranamon to finally scan her. Chiaki returns back to her original form as an eye appears behind her, allowing her to leave the distorted world of Vitramon/BurningGreymon. She pops out to find Teruo, Neamon and Bokomon standing besides the digimon statue, explaining to her how BurningGreymon/Vitramon is putting them into pocket dimensions with the digimon's own fire powers. As they talk about this, Teppei comes out of the portal from the Wood Dimension, having fought against a Cherrymon/Jyarimon.

Meanwhile, Katsuharu himself has just finished battleing a Parrotmon in the Lightning Dimension, and managed to open up another portal further into the dimension.

I finally got around to writing my first piece for @kagehithere‘s new writing challenge! Our first segment is focused on soulmate AUs, and I was challenged with: There’s a black stain where you and your soulmate make first contact.

“Hey, Shō-chan, my family’s going to a park this weekend.” Hinata’s best friend, Izumi, turned around to lean his elbows against his desk. “You wanna go? Kōji is coming, too.”

“Oh, sure!” Hinata flashed him an appreciative smile. “Which one?”

“Tsutsujigaoka,” Izumi replied after a moment of recollection. “Ever been?”

“Only once.” Hinata faintly recalled going there when he was about 5, though he couldn’t really remember it all that well. The only details he could call to mind were the blobs of bright colors from the thousands of blooming azalea trees. Nevertheless, it would be fun to go see it again and bring home some pictures for Natsu.

“Great! I’ll pick you up on Saturday then.” Before the two of them could be scolded for talking, Izumi turned back around and resumed jotting down history notes.

Hinata tried to follow his example, but his mind kept wandering. It was raining outside; a deep, all-encompassing rain that turned the world into a blurry impressionist painting of blues and grays. He always found it hard to concentrate when it was storming, especially so when the wind was howling and the sky was rumbling like the stomach of a hungry god.

He stared out the window and watched an arc of blue lightning flash across the sky and strike a tree, lighting it ablaze for a millisecond before the torrential rain washed the sparks away. Hopefully, this weather wouldn’t last until the next day: Then they wouldn’t be able to go to Tsutsujigaoka.

Lately, the three of them hadn’t had enough time to hang out together, what with junior high graduation and final exams coming up. Since it was the beginning of May and nearing summer break, they only had a little time to relax before finals, and Tsutsujigaoka’s azaleas would be in perfect bloom this time of year.

Another crack of thunder resonated through the air and Hinata jumped, grimacing in annoyance. He wished the storm would let up soon…

Miraculously, the rain stopped only a few hours before Izumi was supposed to come get Hinata. He was standing, halfway through putting on a shirt, when he realized that the thrum of the rain no longer filled the house, resulting in an almost eerie silence.

Hinata paused to look at himself in the mirror, angling his torso to see the handprint on the left side of his waist, then the right. He was usually too embarrassed to look at them, but sometimes he forgot what they looked like and was too anxious to refrain from peeking.

At least they were hideable. The only people who had ever seen them were his parents and Natsu, which was a relief. The prints showed where your soulmate would someday first touch you, and the waist was a mortifying location, at least in Hinata’s opinion. Natsu’s was on her shoulder, and Izumi’s on his wrist, though his had faded into a dull outline as he’d already encountered his soulmate—Kōji.

Hinata could remember when the three of them had first met in elementary school and those two had discovered their connection by accident when Izumi tripped over a pile of books and Kōji grabbed him by the wrist to catch him. It was still funny to remember, seeing how flustered the two of them became, and Hinata snorted thinking about it. Now, though, the two of them couldn’t be closer, and it was hard not to be a bit jealous of their good fortune.

“Nii-chan, Yuki and Kōji are here!” Natsu screeched loudly from down the hall. As Hinata finished pulling on his shirt, she barrelled into his room and attached herself to his leg, nearly taking him down. “Hurry hurry hurry hurry hurrrryyyy!” she insisted, tugging on his jeans to drag him haphazardly down the hallway.

“Stop pulling!” he whined, sliding dangerously on socked feet. “Natsuuuu!”

He barely managed to save himself as she released him suddenly and sprinted towards the door to tackle Izumi and Kōji instead. “Yuki-niichan, Kōji-niichan!”

“Natsu, don’t attack them like that,” their mother scolded, dragging her back by the straps of her sunflower-patterned summer dress. She offered Izumi and Kōji a friendly smile as Hinata pulled on his sneakers. “Bye, boys! Take care of Shōyō, and have lots of fun!”

“Yes, Hinata-san.” Izumi bowed respectfully. “We’ll have him back before dinnertime!”

As the three of them retreated down the steps, Natsu shouting and waving goodbye, they piled into Izumi’s mother’s car and buckled up, chattering excitedly. As they pulled down the block, Hinata settled down a bit and stared out the window, watching the grey rain clouds recede into a clear, crystal blue void.

Izumi and Kōji held hands loosely and Hinata sighed, gazing out at the passing countryside. A strange feeling filled his chest, like cotton surrounding his organs. Even though the lightning had long since passed, a tingly feeling of anticipation lingered in the spring air.

When they arrived at the park, Izumi’s mother left them to their own devices and departed to wander the park alone. After looking at a map, they headed off to the Four Seasons Garden. After taking a lap around to admire the trees, they splashed around a little in the fountain before heading off to the sailing pond.

They hit up every location from the Interaction Center to Large Grass Square and Shirouma’s boat tours. By the time they stopped for lunch, Hinata was exhausted already and his feet were killing him. While the azalea trees were beautiful, blooming in what seemed like a million different shades of pink and red, his shoes were new and hadn’t quite been broken in yet, and Hinata was sure his heels would be covered in blisters when he took them off.

“You okay, Shō-chan?” Izumi asked with concern. “You look pale.”

“I’m fine; these shoes are just killing me.” He gulped down some water and wiped the sweat from his brow with a tired sigh.

“Just take them off,” Kōji said around a mouthful of food. “I’ll put them in my bag for you. The concrete is mostly shaded, so you should be okay barefoot.”

“Good idea!” Hinata brightened up a little as he peeled off his shoes and socks, sighing in relief as the spring breeze tickled his feet. He handed his sneakers off to Kōji and he packed them in his backpack as he Hinata wiggled his toes mercifully. “Ah… much better.”

“Then let’s finish up here and go see the wisteria tunnel,” Izumi suggested, finishing off his takoyaki. “It’s supposed to be super amazing this time of year, plus I’ve heard if you make a wish there, it comes true!”

As Kōji finished his food and went to throw away their trash, Hinata looked at his bare feet under the table and frowned in thought. A wish, huh? But... what would I even want to wish for?

Hinata had been expecting something grand, but the wisteria tunnel was utterly breathtaking. It spanned about 80 meters long, a trellised tunnel overhung with white and yellow wisteria that hung down and tickled their heads as they entered. It felt like entering a magic tunnel to another world, the outside completely blocked by the luscious flowers.

Hinata hung behind Izumi and Kōji, completely absorbed in the scenery as the smell of the wisterias filled his nose and the cool concrete cooled his sore feet. It was beautiful; definitely worth staying for. It was hard to believe that he was really still in Tsutsujigaoka and not in some magical fairy garden.

Even though there were other people on the path, Hinata felt like he was completely alone underneath the canopy of delicate, bell-shaped flowers. The smell was so intoxicating, he closed his eyes and tilted his head back to better absorb it. It was almost overpoweringly sweet, like honey.

I wish for...

He was so mystified, Hinata didn’t realize that walking with his eyes closed probably wasn’t a great idea. It only took him a few seconds to realize this since his foot got caught up on a loose stone in the pathway and he tripped theatrically.

Well, he would’ve tripped. Right as his traitorous momentum sent him careening towards a painful concrete hug, two hands steadied him from behind, literally lifting him off his feet, saving him just in the nick of time.

Hinata, realizing he was quite literally hanging in midair, placed his feet back on the ground and straightened up with a shaky exhalation as the stabilizing grip evacuated from his waist. “Wh-whoa…! That was too close...”

“You should be more careful,” a voice scolded roughly from behind him, reminding Hinata of his manners. He quickly turned around and bowed so fast and so low, he nearly smashed his face against his knees.

“I’m so sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going!” He straightened and gripped the stranger’s hand, giving it a few rough shakes, still slightly shaken from his narrowly escaped face-plant. “Thank you very much for saving me!”

As he released him, the stranger stared down at his hand for a moment before looking up and into Hinata’s eyes—or, rather, down, considering he was significantly taller. His eyes were about the bluest thing he had ever seen, like the ocean during a storm or a starless night sky. The ebony hair framing them made them stand out a thousand times more.

The spots where his hands had been still tingled, as if his touch had never left.

Hinata’s whole world stopped so suddenly and completely, he got whiplash, like someone had pressed pause on his surroundings. The river of thoughts in his head slowed to a thin trickle until a single one remained to slip through the cracks:

He touched my waist.

“Excuse me for just one second.” Hinata turned his back on the blue-eyed stranger and raised his shirt, staring at the sides of his waist in disbelief and slight stupefaction as the black marks faded into a dull light gray on his skin, like the faint outline of handprints on foggy glass.

This can’t be happening.

“This can’t be happening,” he echoed his thoughts aloud, pulling his shirt back down and clutching the sides of his head in an attempt to squeeze out the shock that had him rooted to the spot like a tree, legs shaking and heartbeat echoing erratically in his ears like the frantic drum of hummingbird wings.

“Sorry to interrupt your panic attack, but I think we probably need to talk.”

“Ah!” Hinata jumped, having forgotten about the stranger’s presence in his state of panic, and whipped around to face him. “Oh— oh my God!” He covered his face helplessly as his face heated up to an almost unbearable degree. He finally understood Izumi and Kōji’s reactions from elementary school…

“Hey, you don’t need to be so embarrassed...” His words weren’t too convincing considering the red tint in his own cheeks. “Um, I guess I should probably… introduce myself. I’m Kageyama Tobio.”

Hinata parted his fingers half an inch to glance at him sidelong. “Hi-Hinata— Shōyō...” He covered his eyes again and whined into them, overwhelmed by his own anxiety. “I— I’m sorry, I just r-really wasn’t expecting this at all...” He lowered his hands and gripped his elbow diffidently, unsure how to continue.

“It’s, um— it’s nice to finally meet you…” he began lamely, wishing the hanging wisteria would just descend and bury him alive.

But Kageyama did something that surprised him: He let out a loud laugh, covering his mouth with one hand to conceal the bright sound that drew Hinata for an utter blank. “It’s nice to meet you, too.” His eyes sparkled and his smile left Hinata staring dumbfounded when he moved his hand away. “Sorry for laughing, but I’m just… really surprised.”

“Ah… i-it’s fine…” Hinata tried not to stare, averting his gaze with a nervous gulp. Uwah, what is this? He’s way too handsome when he smiles… “U-um… should we maybe… go somewhere else?” He glanced around to emphasize the several people staring at them, shifting from foot to foot uncomfortably. The scene probably looked even stranger considering he was wearing no shoes…

Kageyama smiled again, nearly sending him into cardiac arrest, and nodded. “Sure… I’d like that.”

As they walked back towards the exit of the tunnel, where Hinata could see Izumi and Kōji waiting, he stared down at the tops of his bare feet and blushed, remembering his silent wish. It had been so stupid, he hadn’t even considered it would ever come true...

I wish for… a fated encounter.

Now I'm considering quirks for the others. Shiro I think would have a minor quirk or even no quirk. I think it enhances his badassery for his skills to not be reliant on a quirk. Plus if he is quirkless it would be one more reason for Rin to believe in Izuku. Ryuji has the same quirk as his father and I think something fire or voice based would fit. Koneko and Shima also have family quirks but not quite sure what. Shura has poison. Angel is quirkless. Lightning got his name from his quirk.

I’m thinking that maybe the clones meant to be vessels (like Shiro and probably Angel) wouldn’t have quirks because they are meant to channel demonic power if successful and the researchers didn’t want anything interfering with that. So it’d make sense for those two not to have quirks.

Suguro, I’m wondering if maybe he and his dad have an ability that let’s their words become real (kinda like Levy from Fairy Tail only it’s what they say, not what they write). So the bindings they say become word chains or glowing patterns in the air that can literally bind or repel demons.

Shima and his family, I’m thinking maybe a flame ability where they can summon flames similarly to Todoroki and Endeavor. Everyone thinks Shima has the standard red flames his family has but when the Illuminati reveal happens, he shows that he really has black flames. (Also, it causes some confusion with Rin because no one’s sure if his blue flames are a quirk [like super hot flames] or actually satanic based].) If not the flame idea, maybe a monkey tail or similar physical quirk since they are the “monkeys” of the Kyoto branch.

Koneko just based off his name I’m thinking a cat-like quirk. Like having better night vision (though he still has to wear glasses) and cat-like reflexes or sense of danger. It’d probably go along with his tactical mind if he has that cat ability to sense when something bad is about to happen. Plus, lots of cat lore says that they can see through the supernatural so that’d also be appropriate.

Shiemi would definitely have a plant-control quirk. Maybe a literal green thumb.

Izumi I think would have something fox based. Maybe a physical quirk or an ability to communicate with foxes? I’m not sure.

Favorite Season: hmmm... I like aspects of all the seasons, but summer is probably my favorite. Mostly because, where I live, the only way to tell the difference between Autumn, Winter, and Spring, is by looking at what the plants are doing. Trees change color in Fall, lose their leaves in Winter, and are VERY green in Spring. Other than that, temperature and weather don’t change a whole lot between the three: lots and lots of chilly rain. So Summer is a nice (if a bit short) reprieve, I get to actually be WARM while I’m outside.

Favorite Book Series: Artemis Fowl, without a doubt. Though Harry Potter and H.I.V.E (Higher Institute of Villainous Education) are up there as well.

Favorite Flower: Based on looks would be Sakura (technically a tree...), Hydrangea (technically a bush...), or Daffodil flowers, but I think my favorite in general are Chocolate Cosmos, they aren’t much to look at, but when the sun hits them they smell like melted chocolate!!

Favorite Color: G R E E N. All shades, but especially ones that have more yellow in them, they just look brighter and more inviting.

Favorite Animal: Frog!! (as I’m sure my url makes abundantly clear). Turtles come in a close second, along with Dinosaurs, Sharks, Crocodiles, Goliath Tiger Fish... and pretty much anything that has scales and/or sharp teeth ^^;

Favorite Artists/Bands: Owl City, 3OH!3, Linkin Park, Circus-P, Hitoshizuka-P & Yama^(I don’t know how to add the triangle), Machigarita-P, Kradness, Reol, Touyu, Mafumafu, Soraru, Last Note, Senka, Mii-chan, nqrse, 30 seconds to Mars... those are all I can think of at the moment.

Average Sleep: I have no sleep schedule. One week I’ll be going to sleep at 9PM and waking up at 6AM. And the next I’ll be going to sleep at 2AM and waking up at 9AM. The only consistency I’ve found, is that I need at least four hours to be able to make it through the day without absolutely having to take a nap somewhere in the middle, and at least six hours to make it through the day without feeling tired from lack of sleep. WHEN I get those hours, however, is completely random.

Number of blankets I sleep with: One thick poofy one, and one thin fuzzy one. I’ve found that’s the best combo to retain heat in the colder months. When the fuzzy one is on the inside, it matches your body-heat quickly, and the poofy one on the outside keeps the heat in :) And in the summer, I switch to just the poofy one, it takes longer to heat up + isn’t as clingy so it’s not stifling.

Last thing I Googled: some of the artist’s names for the fav artists/bands question.

How many blogs I follow: 86 (wow, that many? when did that happen?)

Number of Followers: 36, which is about double the number I had before DGMFanWeek2k17 :) (events like that are a great way to get people looking at your stuff! All the people looking through a specific tag for a whole week)

What I usually post about: DGM pretty much exclusively... especially theories and analyses when I find them! That and my art, but that’s mostly DGM anyway XD Sometimes I’ll post art or writing tips, and rarely, my own fanfiction (but that’s kind of difficult since I haven’t quite figured out tumblr’s formatting system yet).

My Aesthetic: Sunlight filtering through tree leaves!! Underwater, where you can see the ripples of light dance on the bottom!! Falling asleep to the drumming of rain on the roof or watching the ripples it makes in the puddles outside through the window, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, forehead pressed to the glass. Late evenings listening to the rolling rumbles of a rare thunderstorm and running to the window to watch the lightning until the storm has blown too far away to see the flashes anymore. Power outages!! Sometimes lasting for a week!! Playing pictionary by the light of a flashlight with the neighbor-kids, while dad makes breakfast for dinner on the wood-stove. Long car rides, hours spent staring out the window, watching the scenery pass. Fourth of July!! Running up and down the street, constantly turning ‘round and ‘round with a giant grin, trying to catch every single flower of fire blooming in the sky, feeling the booms reverberate in your chest, and the trees are blocking parts of the sky, have to run! run, trailing sparklers and smoke behind you, and move to get the best view of every flash!! The first year with a mortar, finally able to add flowers to the fleeting garden, but accidentally putting the shell in upside down and it misfires, not going as high as it should, and E X P L O D I N G, sparks shooting past on all sides because you’re Inside! Inside the firework! wanting to reach out and catch the stars as they fly by! Watching them hang in the air, for a moment suspended as a cloud a fairy lights, and fading, like the fae themselves slip out of mortal sight.

Taichi has learned to how to absorb the embodiment of courage from others as well, the more courageous someone is around him--the more power he can draw upon. Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: In his youth, he stuck to a more primal style in his wardrobe; though as he grew older he created more for his armor. Having tyrannosaurus features ( his father’s quirk was Tyrannosaurus ), he has the feet of one but hands more human. He is dressed like WarGreymon; armor pieces on everything but his thighs, which are exposed to allow him to move more freely.

Ishida “Matt” Yamato

Hero Name: MetalGaruru Quirk: FRIENDSHIP EMBODIMENT Desc: Through his bonds to other people, Yamato can draw on raw physical power to create “Storm of Friendship”, allowing him to create lightning and electricity. Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: Being part Wolf; Yamato has applied armor pieces across his body. In his youth as WereGaruru, he used to have a more upright fighting style. But as Taichi changed his armor, so did Yamato to keep up with the other. A lot of his power gets stored and is used to power his armor, which in turn allows him to fly and use weaponry across his body.

TAKENOUCHI SORA

Hero Name: Garuda Quirk: LOVE EMBODIMENT Desc: Through the understanding of true love, Sora can create the “Wings of Love”, allowing her to draw on the raw power of “Love”. Her bonds to others allows her to express love openly and freely, creating a powerful fire from an overstimulation of her heart. Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: Due to a bird quirk in her family; Sora has massive wings and stretches rather tall--roughly nine feet in height. Like her family, she takes up a more tribal style outfit.

TACHIKAWA MIMI

Hero Name: Lilly Quirk: PURITY EMBODIMENT Desc: Through the use of Purity, Mimi’s quirk allows her to draw on the power of what it means to be purity, drawing on the idea of Purity through herself and others. Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: Due to a flora quirk in her family, she has buggy eyes and a plant based appearance. She uses this appearance to make herself look more like a fairy. With a budded helmet and a budded armor dress.

IZUMI “IZZY” KOUSHIRO

Hero Name: MegaKabuteri Quirk: KNOWLEDGE EMBODIMENT Desc: Through the use of his knowledge of bug like creatures, Koushiro can transform into different bugs. Although, due to a family quirk, he finds it easier to transform into beetles. This quirk is mixed with a lightning quirk that allows him to shoot out electricity. Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: Koushiro’s armor comes from molted plates in his bug forms, it’s the only thing he can use that allows him to retain clothing after transforming. He changes forms between a blue form he calls Kabuteri, and his bigger red form he called MegaKabuteri.

KIDO JO

Hero Name: Zudo Quirk: HONESTY EMBODIMENT Desc: Through the use of honesty, Jo can use this power to become physically stronger and bigger. All he has to do is confess how he feels at that moment, and those who use honesty around him grant him power too. Interesting enough, being dishonest doesn’t effect him. Occupation / Dream: Pro-Hero Costume Design: Due to his size related quirk, he uses a major shell that belonged to his grandfather; a pro-hero whose quirk was Testudines, giving him a turtle appearance. Though his generation lost most of it’s physical attributes due to the quirk, when Jo gets big enough, his skin gains scales and a greying color.

TAKAISHI “T.K.” TAKERU

Hero Name: Angemon Quirk: HOPE EMBODIMENT Desc: Through the embodiment of what hope is suppose to be, Takeru can draw on the trait to create raw power. Due to his quirk, he was born with Angelic wings. Occupation / Dream: 3rd year Student / Pro-Hero Costume Design: Takeru has decorated his body to play with his more angel-like appearance. As he ages, he’ll add more armor. Changing his name to MagnaAnge and then Seraphi--as Seraphi he dons a full metal armor.

YAGAMI “KARI” HIKARI

Hero Name: Angewomon Quirk: LIGHT EMBODIMENT Desc: Through the embodiment of Light, Hikari can transform the feeling of “light” and all that is good into raw power. She also shares a rare angelic quirk from her family. Occupation / Dream: 3rd year Student / Pro-Hero Costume Design: Similar to Takeru, Hikari decorates her appearance based on her angelic wings. Though only having two official appearances, Hikari will turn herself into Ophani; donning more armor to match Takeru.
