📽 The Longest Yard (2005)

My dad told me this is considered one of the best sports movies ever (he may have been mistaken and the original is considered one of the best instead of this one, I’m not sure). I thought it was supposed to be a comedy 😬 The whole time, I was like “huh, usually Adam Sandler’s funnier than this.” Besides the fact that I was in the absolute wrong genre of movie, I actually liked this. I’m not opposed to sports movies, although they wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice. I’ve seen my fair share. This probably wasn’t my favorite, but it’s still pretty good. I’ve never seen the original, so I can’t speak to how it compares to that one. Still, I’d probably watch this one again.

Sex/nudity: 5/10 (quite a bit of innuendo and sexual joking - both homosexual and heterosexual, homo and hetero kissing)

Language: 7/10 (2 f-words, A LOT of pretty much everything else)

Violence: 3/10 (prison violence, sports violence, broken bones, some blood, etc)

Overall rating: 7/10
