- you knew his about his not-so-subtle crush on your dad when you first met, and decided not to tell him

- you adore him but whose to say he won't just use you as an excuse to hang out with your philanthropist billionaire playboy dad?

- but you'd been dating awhile, and had met Aunt May (who adored you), so why were you avoiding the subject of your dad?

- that was until you were fixing your suit and Peter walked in, gave you a kiss and offered to help. You forgot the little engraving your dad left you on your suit, "be careful and kick ass, love dad"

- "aw, that's sweet," he smiled, "when can I meet him?"

- "you. . .already have," you said, trying to gage his reaction, "he made me my first suit. . .and yours"

- it took him a few seconds but then it all clicked. His super amazing genius girlfriend whose dad bought her a Porsche at fifteen was Tony Stark

- "I'm sorry I didn't say anything sooner, but you idolize him and I was scared and-"

- he does ask if that means he can drive the Porsche now tho

- you and your mom? Best friends

- danny and your mom? Not so much

- being the daughter of Black Widow herself came with a lot of trust, and many secrets so you never intended on dating because of it

- but then this handsome motherfucker gentleman comes along and you're on cloud nine

- you told him you have a complicated past and he respected that, waiting until you were ready

- but he's Iron Fist, King of K'un L'un and an Agent of SHIELD so he took notice when you'd disappear from team sessions

- he admits he got curious and followed one day, and there you were: training with Black Widow herself, and doing it flawlessly

- and at the end of it, his suspicions were confirmed once you hugged and said, "thanks, mom"

- "So are you gonna introduce us or does he always do that?" She made DIRECT eye contact with him and it honestly sent a shiver down his spine

- he introduced himself, remaining calm and collected, which impressed her but she also knows that people can hide how they rlly feel

- she GRILLED HIM

- "where'd you grow up?" "K'un L'un" "who are your parents?" "Heather and Wendell Rand" "if you're a billionaire, why do you wear five dollar flip flops?"

- you knew she approved of him, but she liked to keep him on his toes

- "beloved, I love you, but your mother scares me"

- oh how does one BEGIN to explain to their bullet proof boyfriend that their dad is Thor?

- he knew you had to be other worldly, and not just because he thinks you're a Goddess you accidentally struck him with lightning one time

- you wanted to keep it a secret for a bit before the Almighty Thor comes in and demands to know Luke's intentions

- "babe, why is Thor asking me when I'm proposing?"

- being a God came with perks, so Thor knew not long after you guys started dating that something was amiss with his daughter

- (you stopped remembering to being him poptarts and he got upset)

- "how do I know if he is worthy of your hand?"

- "He makes me laugh :) and he's bulletproof so. . ."

- they get along great

- his first trip to Asgard was a bit intimidating but seeing as you're half human, your mom reminded him that love between you guys was possible

- "I recommend a traditional Asgardian ceremony-"

- "dad we're sixteen"

- talk about overprotective father

- you're a minute late, who were you with? What were you doing? I want their names, addresses, social security-

- if you guessed Winter Soldier a.k.a Bucky then you guessed right

- he knew something was up the moment you two lingered for a bit after training, and watching from the top deck this man SPOTTED your hands brush and asked Fury for Novas' personal file

- but knowing your dad, you were actually able to keep your relationship a secret for two months before he put the pieces together himself

- you both were out on a picnic date, Sam having made a cute cake, and a very threatening man with a metal arm came up sat down, smiled at him, held his hand out and said, "Samuel Alexander, sixteen, last Nova, grew up in Carefree, and 5'8, correct?"

- you were LIVID

- meanwhile Sam was like "omg he knows my name :0!!"

- you had told Sam long before dating that your dad was extremely overprotective, but Sam being Sam was just excited that his badass girlfriend has a badass dad!!

- and Buckys like "wtf this kid isn't even remotely terrified"

- Sam asks question after question, and it even turns into a third wheel - as in they're bonding and you're just there

- Bucky likes him but still tries to be somewhat intimidating, being the infamous Winter Soldier and all

- "Babe. . .baabe. . .when's your dad gonna be back? I wanna ask him if he likes my new helmet look"

- so like where do I even start

- you and Ava had been dating for a couple of months before she started to realize that she hadn't met your family

- you told her that they were just really intense and you didn't wanna scare her

- but who could scare White Tiger? So she insisted and you said "your funeral"

- also how does one explain to their partner that they technically shouldn't exist because your dad is a robot and your mom is a witch?

- your brothers LOVE her

- Billy and Tommy immediately recognized Ava, seeing as they'd work with the team from time to time and said "ooh our sisters dating the smart one"

- and Ava like, "babe I think I kicked one of their asses in training"

- Wanda adores Ava, she thinks she's good for you and might as well have someone mentally stable in your life

- Meanwhile in Avas' mind, "omg omg her mom is Scarlet Witch, her dad is Vision - wait is that why she's so smart? Is my girlfriend a robot?"

- no you're not a robot

- Vision likes her, and he knew about you two before you two even started dating. Why? You rambled about White Tiger during dinner once and Vision CLOCKED that look in your eyes

- needless to say, Sunday dinners with your family are now mandatory with Ava

hi idk if you're still in the usm fandom or not, but i read a few of your spideyfist analysis thingies where you watched the episode them commented on them and pointed out spideyfist or other ships and i wanted to know if you had any spideyfist headcanons or fic recs bc im desperately attached to them :>

Hello! Little bit of context, if I have ever posted about a fandom and am not currently posting about it, I'm still in the fandom or into the show, I'm just not focusing on it at the time. Since you asked about the Spideyfist list, this is as good a time as ever to give an update. I'm still working on them, I'm just not focusing on the fandom/show right now. The hyperfixation will come back around, I'm positive! I'm just not sure when. I'll get to the remaining episodes, though, so hang in there!

Secondly, I have all kinds of headcanons, but my fic recs are sparse 'cause there's not many spideyfist fics out there. I'll dig through my list and see what I find!

Now, as for headcanons!

- Peter can sing and sing well, sometimes he convinces Danny to join him, they duet love songs

- Peter’s favorite hero is Iron Fist, Danny’s is Spiderman

- Danny is always the first to react when Peter’s in trouble, the first to have him back, the first to ask what's needed, the first to be there when Peter needs someone

- Because other heroes are constantly underestimating him, Danny has come up with a Spiderman fanclub and will not hesitate to set people straight on what Spiderman can do, but no one knows how he knows half the things he knows

- Peter taught Danny to loosen up and make the most of the time given, Danny taught Peter about duty and honor

- If given half a chance, Danny and Peter will not hesitate to sacrifice for the other, the Ultimates and the Warriors really wish they'd FUCKING STOP

- Peter complains constantly about the smell of smoke and how it makes him sneeze, but if Danny asks if he wants him to move his meditation elsewhere, Peter refuses to let him

- Danny has chronic pain in his hands from where he's broken fingers, knuckles, and wrists so often, so Peter helps him treat it by buying him hot packs and Tylenol with what little money he has

- Peter gets migraines because of his heightened sensed, he can only stand to be around Danny when he gets them, but not because he's Peter’s boyfriend, but because Danny’s the quietest person of his friends and family

- Danny isn't a trouble maker, but villains always seems to know to go after him first and foremost and if he gets hurt on patrol ONE MORE TIME then Peter will not be held responsible for his actions

- Deadpool once dropped by Peter’s house to annoy him for a while, but noticed almost immediately that the Kung Fu boy was with him, they where napping at the time, Deadpool left with resolve to come back another time

- Heroing is a dangerous business to anyone, but if you hang around Peter long enough, you begin to notice that he's the most dangerous hero in the business

- Danny can cook if so desired, but Peter does most of the cooking for them

- Danny and Peter got together after the season 1 episode 'Freaky' in which Wolverine gave Peter a little push in the right direction

- Danny and Peter are soulmates, regardless of romantic or not

- Danny went back to K'un L'un when his time was up, but he seriously didn't want to. He very much considered giving up the throne to someone else, letting someone else take his place as leader and ruler, but Peter convinced him that they could do long-distance. It worked shockingly well for them

- Peter is bisexual, Danny is demisexual

- EVERYONE knew that they'd end up together, even Fury, it's impossible to miss those puppy-dog eyes

- Danny and Peter never underestimate or overestimate each other, they know each other's limits and abilities as well as they know their own

- Peter has a standing invite back to K'un L'un, but the elders strong suggest he doesn't take it. Ever.

- Peter is Danny’s first real relationship, but he had a small fling with Scorpion when they were growing up. It didn't last long and Danny got his heart broken

- When Peter gets mad, he tends to forget himself. When he starts blacking out is when it gets dangerous. Danny is the only one who's been able to pull him back from this state without the use of powers

- Danny gets angry, but not like seeing-red angry, more like "I'm going to grind you into paste with my teeth" angry and Peter is the only one able to stop him

- In some universes, Danny (and the other Ultimates) are abused by SHIELD and Fury, Peter is always furious when this happens, but most notably because Danny’s usually the one who gets the brunt of it

- Danny is in complete control of himself at all times, it takes a lot to distract or deter him. There are very few things that can manage

- Danny and Peter are in love, this much has always been clear, even when they fight. It takes a lot for them to be upset with each other and a lot for them to actually fight over something, but no matter what they're always in love

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…

December 27th - Iron Fist / Danny Rand

Danny Rand was born in New York City to Wendell and Heather Rand.  When Danny’s father was a child, he happened upon an inter-dimensional portal that led to the mystical city of K'un-L'un. There he ended up saving the life of the city's ruler, Lord Tuan, and was adopted as Tuan's honorary son.

Wendell eventually left K'un-L'un and became a wealthy entrepreneur in the United States. He married socialite Heather Duncan and had a child, Daniel. Wendell later organized an expedition to return to K'un-L'un, this time taking along his family and business partner Harold Meachum. The journey ended in tragedy as Wendell and Heather were both killed and Danny was abandoned by Harold Meachum.  Fortunately, young Danny was found by the denizens of K’un-L'un and provided shelter in the mystical city.

Growing up in K’un-L'un Danny became the student of Lei Kung the Thunderer, who taught him martial arts.  Danny proved an excellent student and greatly excelled in his training.  As a young adult, Danny was offered the opportunity to face the dragon Shou-Lao and possibly gain the powers of the Iron Fist.  Using his guile along with his prowess as a fighter, Danny succeeded and defeating Shou-Lao.  

Having placed his hands in the heart of the dragon, Danny becomes the Iron Fist, bestowed the ability to channel massive amounts of chi energy into his fists and deliver devastatingly powerful punches. Shortly thereafter, Danny returned to New York City to seek on revenge on Harold Meachum whom he blamed for his parents’ deaths.  

Meachum had gone on to become a powerful business man and head of Meachum Industries.  Learning of Danny Rand’s return, Meachum dispatches a number of agents to try to assassinate him.  Danny overcame these foes and finally confronted Meachum; yet choses not to take vengeance, seeing it as a cruelty that would dishonor his parents name. Meachum was killed by a mysterious ninja and his death was blamed on Danny.  

Thereafter, Danny began his career as the superhero, Iron Fist.  Herein he is frequently aided by his friends Colleen Wing and Misty Knight. He later becomes partners and lifelong friends with Luke Cage and the two operate as the Heroes for Hire.  

Actor Fynn Jones portrayed the character in the Netflix series, Iron Fist.  The hero first appeared in the pages of Marvel Premiere #15 (1974).

A good Iron Fist adaptation where Danny Rand doesn't actually get his powers by fucking punching a dragon becos the concept of defeating dragons is a Western one and doesn't make sense given the vaguely oriental setting of K'un L'un. But then again, the OG comics are orientalist from get go.

BUT FOR A GENUINE SHIP, I definetly think that maybe Watami and Iara because consider this: She and Iara used to play with each other outside of K'un L'un and Nanda Parbat when they were kids but then Iara had to do more work as an assassin so Watami stopped seeing her and then when they first meet again, they just stare at each other in disbelief but run in for a big hug (at least Iara does-)

Solid middle-of-the-road comic.

Thanks to Doctor Strange, the search for Iron Fist takes Namor, Colleen Wing and Misty Knight to K'un-L'un.

It lacks an a-story. But various ongoing plots advance. A little. Most of what happens is interesting. It very much feels like a chapter in a much-longer tale.

Heyyy quick question, since Lin Lie has changed some after his death and has matured and acquired some new more trauma, do you think his friendship/mentor-student dynamic with shang chi would change? I think it'd be interesting if shang chi noticed that what Lin Lie needs now more then anything is emotional support more then a teacher (since he has now probably danny and the forces from K'un L'un). So yeah, thoughts?

yeah i think it would !! and yea you're completely right i feel like their dynamic would switch to more of a closer one where they actually consider each other friends/have higher levels of respect since lin lie doesn't rlly need another mentor atm

Sub-Mariner, Misty Knight and Colleen Wing had gone to K’un L’un to find Iron Fist. However, they got imprisoned by the H’Ylthri, just like Iron Fist had been for years. He could hear the other heroes, which caused his will to increase and he managed to break out.

I think Danny does kinda escape the trope a bit. For one he was raised by K'un L'un since childhood. It's kinda like how say Roy Harper is raised on a Navajo Preservation, They're both good but they still respect their culture & are humbled enough not to see themselves as better than everyone else.

With respect, I think that misses the point.

With these sorts of things the finer details don’t really matter. Regardless of the specifics of how Danny grew up, the basics of his origin still maintains the quality of the ‘white savior’ that reflects institutionalized racism.

Which sucks because Danny Rand is a fun character. But lots of stuff sucks when considering the racist aspects of western society.
