The hate on Roxy because she's a "bitch" and a "narcissist" and... wanting to get Gregory? (When literally everyone besides Freddy is also trying to kill him???) Is so fucking stupid and just shows how much you people hate female characters. I'm about to go in-
First of all, the bad talk at Gregory in SB was because she was hacked by Vanny, (even her behaviour when you see her through the vents in her room) obviously there was no way she'd actually talk like that to a KID, but alot of you seriously believe that. And yeah, ok, she says a few mean things, so what? SO WHAT? If this was Monty's, or maybe Bonnie's personality instead, would you be spewing hate at them, or continue to simp for them and call their behaviour hot? I know for a FACT that a lot of you would. Not all female characters have to be too sweet or quirky and silly for you to like.
Back to Roxy's bad talk, you may think "Well, none of the others bad talk him!!" Yeah, it's because everything Roxy says to him is actually targeted to herself. The game clearly showed us how she actually feels: crying alone in her room, constantly telling herself that she's not a loser, and questioning if everyone loves her. Her praising herself are reminders to feel like she's still loved more than anything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the one thing that boosted her confidence alot was her looks. Her looks clearly meant so much to her, and we see this in Help Wanted 2 as well, so obviously she would be furious and lose it if someone took that away from her, including her ability to see.
Tumblr media
And before I say anything else, I just wanna say that no I'm not angry at Gregory at all, he is just a child who was doing everything he can to survive, and if I were in his place, I would've done the same as well to protect myself. But at the same time, I understand Roxy's anger too. If I were someone who had very low self esteem that I reassure and prepare myself everyday to hang on, when one day, suddenly someone hits me with a whole go kart that shatters my entire body, and on top of that, they steal my eyes too? Yes, I wouldn't just be devasted, but I'd be very angry as well. Roxy was taken everything away from her, and was left to rot alone, I don't blame her for being angry at all.
Tumblr media
Now more onto Ruin, which shows us her true side all along.
In the dlc, I don't think (Or it's clear at this point) that any of them are hacked anymore, since we assume that Vanny left with Gregory and Freddy in the good ending, and Glitchtrap is gone. But with Chica and Monty, I feel like they've just lost themselves and are completely broken. Even when seeing Cassie, they still tried to kill her. But with Roxy, she was the only one who recognised her when she heard her voice, and even apologized for grabbing her.
Tumblr media
Later on, when Cassie stumbles onto Roxy again, this is where we see her TRUE self. Where she's sweet, soft, and not as mean as everyone made her out to be. (The way she gently speaks to her and holds her hand will never not make me cry) We know that from Roxy's lines, she was one of few who actually showed up to her birthday, since her friends didn't and was the reason why Cassie was crying in one of the cut outs we see. But Roxy was there for her, and she still remembered her special day, her favourite cake, and she was her number one - twice.
Tumblr media
This part CLEARLY shows you that Roxy isn't a selfish jerk who only cares about herself, she cares about the kids, and she cares a lot about Cassie. There's a reason why she's Cassie's favourite, right? And don't forget that she literally went up against the mimic to protect her!!!
Tumblr media
And I do wanna say that, no, this post isn't telling you that you're not allowed to dislike Roxy or criticise her at all, the issue is hating her character and personality when she would've been praised for it and called "hot" if she were Monty, Moon, Bonnie, or if she was Glamrock Foxy instead. (Which is... literally misogyny) Like, even before Ruin, there were people who hated Roxy for being a jerk, but then turn around and praise Monty when we see him being way more aggressive, while theorizing that he was the one KILLED Bonnie over jealousy. Not even because he was hacked, just... jealousy, and that's not him being 10 times worse than Roxy???
Don't forget the details in Monty's Gator Golf minigame, where in some levels, Freddy was always seen separated from the gang, and in the last level, you see Monty performing along side Roxy and Chica, while Freddy was thrown in the trash...
Tumblr media
To me, this is clearly because he's jealous at Freddy, and wants to be the star instead. And along side him possibly killing Bonnie...
I'm sorry, but while I do like Monty, he is literally WAY more of a jerk. Alot of you people believe he killed Bonnie, is extremely jealous, way more aggressive, and yet Roxy is the worst of all for saying "I bet you don't even have friends" to a child when she was HACKED? But yeah, also praise the literal child murderer and abuser for being "interesting" and a cool character, but no, Roxy is the worst because she's a bitch. It's just so ridiculous, and I'm not surprised in the slightest, female characters will always get this treatment.
Alright, it's finally out of my system, anyway stan Roxy.

Okay okay okay a PJO Marauders AU
James is a Son of Apollo because ??? who else could father this man. His conception was a kind of a favour to Effie and Monty - bc they were desperate for a child but couldn’t conceive without help, and Artemis elbowed Apollo and was like ‘bitch I can’t do it?’ so he made James for them - and James is very much in the camp of ‘thank you for the demigod stuff, still not my dad’ every time he crosses paths with his father.
Remus is the Son of Diana - Roman version of Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt and the Moon - and she Actually raised him for a little while, but he’s at Camp Half Blood for ~safety reasons~. He stays in the Athena cabin (because Artemis doesn’t have one, virgin goddess and all that) with:
Lily! Daughter of Athena.  The Annabeth Chase parallels are too many to list. Can we really blame James for being obsessed with her? No, we cannot.
Peter is a Son of Demeter. He is very aware of how all of his friends are inclined toward chaos and heroics while he Literally Just Wants To Grow His Tomatoes Please. Pray for Peter, he is #suffering.
Sirius and Regulus, when they first arrive at Camp, don’t tell anyone who their parent is - Sirius talks whoever asks in circles until they’re laughing about something else, while Regulus just stares the askers down until they go away - and there’s a lot of discussion and debate, until it eventually - probably courtesy of a not-so-accidental slip of the tongue from Dumbledore - comes out that they’re the Sons of Nyx.
Being sons to the primordial Goddess of Night is complicated, even without all their personal trauma - Nyx was never widely worshipped, but the Blacks have worshipped her for generations, and when the decree went out that the Gods were no longer permitted to raise their own children, she put her sons in the care of Walburga and Orion thinking they’d treasure them. Walburga didn’t react well to figuring out that demigods or not, the children she’d been granted guardianship of were still, y’know, children - and Nyx is one of the only Gods Zeus is actually afraid of, so people knowing is a bit complicated.
Especially with the way many of Zeus’ grandkids rally around Sirius post-revelation, and his best friendship with James - Night and the Sun, how apt - while the kids of the less popular Gods circle Regulus, identifying with the more closed off little brother who takes his heritage a little more seriously and still calls Nyx mother in his prayers.
Extra points:
-In the midst of heroic such and such they all meet the Gods, and Regulus calls Zeus ‘nephew’ to his fucking face and James almost passes out from laughing so hard.
-Mary is a Daughter of Aphrodite; Marlene is a Daughter of Nike, Goddess of Victory; Dorcas is a Daughter of Ares; Pandora is a Daughter of Eris (and Regulus calls her niece, and she calls him uncle right back); Barty is a Son of Hermes: Evan is a Son of Hephaestus.
-James only figures out he’s got a special talent for healing when Remus is hurt by one of the Things That Hunt Him. Would it be cute if it was Starchaser? Yes. But it’s my AU and James Potter would move mountains for his friends.
-Regulus and Lily are gently wary of each other, to start, but quickly grow close, finding solidarity in Younger Sibling Trauma - Petunia is not a demigod, and her jealousy is cruel and sharp-edged - and being some of the only sane people in the whole Camp.
-Pandora is a chaos gremlin. Her mother is so proud.
-Nyx loves her sons. It tore her apart to give them up, and she’s still very angry about it. Regulus’ prayers keep her going. When she finds out what Walburga did to her kids, her revenge is nothing to be scoffed at.

i've got @charismabee and i's reverse kindergarten au on the brain again so i'm gonna ramble about it <3
essentially, everyone's personality is the opposite of what it is in canon. for example, reverse-cindy is an absolute sweetheart with no interest in relationships; this carla is a goodie two shoes; applegate loves her job, etc. they're all trapped in a time loop, which everyone is aware of but the new kid.
this results in a lot of wacky hijinks as each of the k1 and later k2 students in turn go to kid for help with something. the time loop still ultimately ends whenever the principals' experiments are stopped, but a lot of elements are changed. take the first principal, for example, who still conducts illegal experiments but does it in the name of the "greater good". his son hates him, so he tries to bond with him through drugs (it doesn't work). monty wants to go unseen, so the principal secretly makes something to make him less noticeable, but it goes a little too far and now everyone keeps forgetting monty exists. nugget is being used as a test subject for the antidote. the mp kidnaps billy as an assistant to help with his experiments to avoid the truth getting out.
we planned out every one of the 150+ possible character dynamics in a separate doc. here, have some of the most chaotic lines from them-
Why is his arm broken? Danner blames science.
Billy doesn't care for the blond twins. He has more than enough twin in his life already.
Like it or not, Kid's a danger to the people around him even if Buggs is aware he's just being used, like a knife. And everyone knows bringing a knife to school is the worst idea ever.
Nugget has told Bob that Billy and Lily in particular are just The Worst, so Bob really doesn't like him, scoffing at the fact that Billy couldn't escape a basic kidnapping orchestrated by a mellow, middle-aged man.
Kid is so good at helping, he's gonna murder Felix so well. He loves being told what to do so much [:
Ozzy's like Cindy but dirtier. Lily is about ready to knock him out, only she's unwilling to touch him.
Ozzy doesn't like Bob. He's mean and rude and hits people with cleaning supplies and one time an axe.
Ridiculous! Cindy couldn't even be bullied right.
Monty is uncomfortable with all this love and validation.
the wip is 35000 words long, we have successfully traumatised and therapised everyone in succession, and things are going great :]

I agree that Sun has every right to talk to OM, he has a looooooot fix in your life and one of them is to conclude your fault and say goodbye brother.
What I love about the episode is how it starts OM starts with his stubbornness and does what he wants while NM chases him to talk. He starts by lying that he doesn't know anything but then mentions recent events.
And at one point you feel the resentment, "resentful of the dog got water", love that metaphor and continue half insulting the NM.
It is unfortunate what happened to OM but personally I do not forgive him for everything because there would be things that could have been avoided but he chose to do it.
But what makes me a little happy is that you feel regret, longing and Blame. I regret everything that Eclipse caused and other things, (and I think it shows a certain level of jealousy of NM Viviera and the positive impact it gave and OM did not give it at all) and obviously the damage that Sun and more.
The longing to not have hate or anger, to have a life with your family and to love the siblings Earth and Lunar even solar, the desire to meet them and really know Lunar, that he really considers Monty his best friend. And he tells him to value what he has and protect it (there is a reason he emphasizes that he continues Being the same, because it is his best version and he could see the life that I can see had).
And the blame goes hand in hand with the resentment, of all the bad decisions and the damage caused to Sun, and cowardice is no excuse to deny talking to his brother. At least he gave good advice to NM And that he recognizes that NM is not inferior, he only holds back out of fear, which is understood when compared to his old self and how he was better in every way except behavior).
I'm glad because certain things don't totally come from OM, but yes, (AGAIN, it doesn't mean that I completely forgive him, but they are details that I liked), with his hypocritical, idiotic attitude and sarcasm, But at the same time those feelings he has and he also owes a couple of words to Sun for what happened, and we hope to have it in the future.
LONG ASK YEY!! yea theres a lot to unpack with both Moons facing each other.. specially all the guilt one has that overpower the other is clear he does feel bad! I felt it too but also, he is still a coward and still looks after himself rather than the others, but that was and will always be a trail of OM we cant just get rid of in a way yes, people loved how much of an asshole he was! hell I did too a bit, I love an asshole that cares too but there were limits he passed many many times that we just cant ignore Is clear he in some way HAS to feel anger his "other life" has everying HE wanted, yet.. he had the chance, and well he mess up, big time, and is good he lets us know he knows he cant change it-he did live his life, and if he goes back to undo his own path then he's not growing up, he's lying to himself and others! I do hope Sun gets to face him too , mostly because , no matter the "I can apologise enough" he should TRY IT. he should SAY IT : "Im sorry I locked you up in the bunker I also hit you in- Im sorry I never let you be part of any plan, and Im sorry I choose to let you aside rather than take your side and actually listen to you" one can only hope Sun gets to hear these words if only for a mere second, not a note, not a recording, not by someone else, by his own brother's voice. also yes, you are right! At least he gave good advice to NM I just hopes he let him talk more but eehh thanks you so so much for your ask! feel welcome to leave me more if you wish!

Theory on Glamrock Bonnie and M.X.E.S
Listen, hear me out.....
.....
What if Glamrock Bonnie is M.X.E.S......
WAIT, HEAR ME OUT!!!!
How many bunnies are really in fnaf? Peepaw Willy/Glitchtrap isn't M.X.E.S, I think we've all figured that out by now.
There is the possibility that M.X.E.S was just designed from scratch and made specifically to contain The Mimic. This brings up the question of who made M.X.E.S. Someone had to know about The Mimic, and they had to be capable of designing an advanced A.I. from scratch. Who would have that tech/programming knowledge? Who would design an A.I. to keep something locked in the basement?.......
My answer: Vanessa
Vanessa is The Tape Girl in FNAF Help Wanted. A woman who was hired to test out a new game and fix any errors she encountered playing it. She didn't start off as a security guard. She was a game developer. A woman capable of hiding code in game files. A woman who tried to trap a monster with said codes and erase it.....
In FNAF Security Breach, Vanessa is in and out of control of her own mind. The Vanny side of her is not always in control. Vanessa, who has limited control of her own body/mind, wouldn't have the ability to sit down and make a new A.I./program. That's time-consuming work. If she lost control in the middle of coding a trap for the very thing controlling her, you best believe, she's going to wake up to the code being completely erased.
So this had me thinking, how would Vanessa be able to make M.X.E.S?
Reuse existing A.I.
Why Bonnie? Why not Chica, Roxy, Monty, or Freddy?
Freddy is the face of the company.
Roxy would see Vanessa coming. She has the ability to see through walls. Roxy would not be easy to ambush.
Chica likes to eat, her A.I. isn't about to unlearn that. Generations of Chica animatronics that eat. Imagine how crazy Chica's A.I. would go if she no longer had the ability to consume food.
Monty isn't in the main band, he would seem like the best option...... right?
Wrong.
Vanessa needed a scapegoat. Pinning the blame on Monty would be easy. He is reclusive and spends a lot of his time on the catwalks in Monty Golf. All she has to do is snip, erase, and edit some security feeds to make it look like Bonnie was last seen in Monty Golf. Monty could even take Bonnie's place in the band! He is a One Man Band, after all. Monty can play string instruments, and he can sing. Fazbear entertainment loves saving money. They'll investigate a lot less on Bonnie's disappearance if they can replace him relatively quickly.
All Vanessa had to do now was decommission Bonnie in a place human workers wouldn't typically go and get that sweet, sweet animatronic brain. What better place than behind the Bonnie Bowling Alleys. A place only staff bots worked, cleaning up pins and bowling balls. Nobody would look for him so far from where he was suspected to be seen last.
Bonnie wouldn't remember who he was once his memory was wiped.
~~~~
Idk, Ruin has me cluched in its grippers right now. I want to know what happened to Glamrock Bonnie so bad and where the hell M.X.E.S came from. I wanna know if Monty decommissioned Bonnie or if he's innocent. I need other opinions.
I think today’s LAES episode really highlights how little Earth—and, to a lesser extent, New Moon—actually do know about Old Moon. Which makes sense, but is also really, really sad.
(possibly controversial rant/analysis below)
I don’t agree with Earth’s assertion that Sun should talk with Old Moon, especially after hearing what New Moon said about what Old Moon might face as a consequence of that conversation… but a lot of that comes down to the fact that we, as the audience, know exactly how much trauma and outright mental torture Old Moon would be facing if he were more consciously aware day to day what was going on. Being bodiless again, with no autonomy? That was at least half, if not more, of why the first October takeover was so terrifying. That entire experience before he and Sun separated goes a long way to explaining why he acted the way he did, in addition to the fact that he had a killcode impairing his rationality.
It doesn’t excuse the trauma he caused Sun, no, nor does it excuse a lot of his more questionable actions after separating… but I don’t think it is right to force whatever still exists of Old Moon into a situation that has a high possibility of lighting that trauma right back up again—both for his own sake, and because of the consequences it might have on New Moon. Like, possibly, reigniting some remnant of a killcode and making him go insane. The same way Old Moon was starting to before KC asserted himself as his own individual AI.
And on the note of KC… That entire bit of the discussion was just piling more undeserved blame for the current situation on Old Moon’s shoulders. Old Moon was not in any way responsible for the creation of Bloodmoon or KC. Eclipse made Bloodmoon—and Lunar!—and KC just evolved from bits of coding the same way Eclipse did by combing the killcode left in Sun with Sun’s own code. If anything, Lunar is more to blame for the Bloodmoon situation since they are the ones who convinced Monty to build them that first body to replace the much weaker one, and then did nothing to curb or help their antics in the lead up to that first Eclipse confrontation. And KC having Moon and his own changing morality as an example is likely a big part of why KC was able to reform.
Not to mention the fact that at one time Golden Freddy was considering asking Moon to take over more of a protective role for their universe akin to what he does when Regular Freddy admitted to not wanting to take over for his dad.
As to the current situation… so many things about it are due to extra-dimensional people and occurrences that have nothing to do with our dimension’s interference beyond the fact that they rebuilt the portal after it exploded the first time and happen to live in a world in which a Creator also exists. It seemed to me, after all, that Ruin basically just picked their world at random to make his headquarters, since I’m pretty sure that neither New nor Old Moon had his dimension on their radars until he literally showed up one day and punched New Moon in the face before fleeing. And they all admitted that Stitchwraith’s entire existence had nothing to do with the Daycare group as a whole—Old Moon included—aside from the fact that most of them happened to be made by the same Creator.
There is also the fact that they are basically ignoring the villains’ own autonomy and ability to make decisions and bad choices. Like. Solar is proof that Eclipses are actually perfectly capable of being rational and even kind. Sure, it might come down a bit to exact ratios and timing as far as killcode involvement goes… but even in our own universe, Moon immediately offered to help Eclipse once he was aware of his existence, and Eclipse turned him down. And then kept turning down subsequent offers. And then kept choosing revenge when he managed to resurrect himself. (Beyond what is happening with the current Eclipse’s situation, since that is a whole different can of worms and involves a lot of outside influence and machinations)
And, like… I get why New Moon pushes off blame like this, since he definitely inherited Old Moon’s self-loathing tendencies, and I get why Earth is saying the things she is because, again, she admits to not having known Old Moon personally and only has stories to go off of… but those stories don’t really have the chance for her to view them objectively given that all the storytellers involved all have trauma relating to the subject at hand—namely, Old Moon himself.
…On the note of New Moon thinking it is strange Old Moon knew about Earth’s existence, part of might just be, as he said, that Old Moon has access to current events via New Moon’s mind while they are more connected and talking, but I think New Moon might also forget/simply not be aware of the fact that the Creator actually did inform Sun—who immediately told Old Moon—about her existence and then she basically just got lost in a flower field and didn’t actually show up until the whole KC and Old Moon getting trapped in his mind and having to choose to sacrifice himself thing was in the middle of going down.
It just… makes me sad. I get it, but… I just wish they would take more nuance into account. That they wouldn’t just reject all the good things Old Moon did in favor of the bad. That they don’t have other morally questionable characters—namely Monty and Lunar—give him more of a defense.
Lunar literally lived in his head and admitted he wasn’t as bad as he’d originally thought and, at one point, offered to stay with him and be his “happy” to help him… and yet never brings that up. Never admits that Moon was the first of their siblings to really accept them and genuinely call them “brother” and give them a home. And maybe that’s just out of their own grief—their guilt at running away and never getting to say goodbye, their possible anger at being “left behind,” their own trauma from dying at pretty much the same time—but it still… it still hurts.
…And its still extremely unclear to me if anyone outside the Daycare has even noticed Old Moon is gone. (Beyond whatever situation Roxanne had/has going on where her memory got messed with and at least partially reset, that is. That at least would make sense if she didn’t know or had otherwise forgotten the particulars of Moon’s situation).
Anyways. On a happier note, Jack’s shenanigans today were fun. It was nice to see him mess around and get to just play happily and enjoy himself the way he was.
His plan to have them leave the cabin in Mammoth Lakes at 6AM so they’d be back in LA just in the early afternoon. While he was on vacation from NCIS, Deeks was working for the LAPD at the Rose Parade tomorrow and then the Rose Bowl.
The undercover unit had to send a few people over every January 1st to help with two huge events so Deeks always volunteered. Showing up for something most of the rest of the squad hated got Deeks some points from all of them. Plus, Deeks liked the parade – his Mom took him every year as a kid because New Year’s Eve was something old Gordo sort of controlled. Now, he was paid time-and-a-half to watch the people watch the parade. Nobody getting hurt means he did his job.
After the Parade, LAPD transports the officers working the parade to the Rose Bowl. He got moved to the VIP area after an old college buddy who worked in sports facility management saw him a few years ago. He’s there undercover – mixing and mingling with the VIPs - making sure nobody who shouldn’t be there somehow got in and making sure those who are supposed to be there behave. With Oregon playing, Deeks hoped to meet Phil Knight. Maybe he could get a pair of Jordans out of it.
But the plan to get back to LA took a turn around 8:30ish when they were on 395. Kensi saw a Denny’s and well, suddenly a Lumberjack Slam was in her future. And obviously his since he was driving. She got it as takeout with what looked like a gallon of orange juice. There was some breakfast sausage for a grateful Monty. He got a muffin, some fruit and a cup of coffee.
Another pitstop to clean out the truck and take Monty for a bio-break had them about an hour behind Deeks’s mental schedule.
“So, do we have a plan for the office?”
“Plan?”
“You know, for when we go back.”
“Well, I guess we go to the office, say hello to Callen and Sam. Ask Sam if Aiden is still home. Ask Callen if Joelle is still in the picture – probably need to find a better way to say that.”
“Deeks, be serious.”
“Well, you didn’t let me get to Nell or Eric yet. Or Hetty. Or Granger. I do wonder how he’s doing.”
“Be. Serious.”
“I. Am.”
“What are we going to tell them about us?”
“As little as possible.”
“That’s not in your nature.”
“That is exactly my nature.”
“Deeks, I say this with great affection, you talk all the time.”
“Thank you for the great affection. And I do talk all the time. But I’m pretty good at saying very little by saying a whole lot.”
Kensi sat for a second, opened her mouth and decided against whatever she was going to say. “So we say nothing.”
“Nobody’s business.”
“So our secret.”
“Not a secret, just not something I want to discuss with Eric, Hetty, Ty in IT.”
“What if Hetty wants to know?”
“Hetty’s not in the position she use to be. For good and for bad.”
“What does that mean?”
“She probably can’t send you halfway around the world again but I could go back to LAPD without Director Vance breaking a sweat.”
“So we keep things quiet.”
“No, we don’t flaunt things. Things were going on before this trip, things will keep going on after this trip.”
“That wasn’t firmed up before.”
He turned his head and looked right at her. “It was always firm for me.”
“Me too,” Kensi said with a big smile.
They drove a little while with the area looking a lot more like the California they knew and a lot less like the mountains.
“So what do I say if Trudy from accounting asks about my vacation.”
“That Trudy is the office busybody. Probably comes with being named Trudy.”
“And if I don’t have an answer, she’s fill in the blanks.”
Imitating Kensi, Deeks started, “Trudy, I went skiing with Deeks and Monty. And snowboarding. I was bad at that.”
“That’s a lie!”
“The bruises on your ass disagree.”
“They’re not bruises.”
“Kens…”
“The rental snowboard was cheap.”
“It’s a poor craftsman who blames his tools,” Deeks chided before going back to his Kensi imitation. “I went skiing and snowboarding with Deeks and Monty. He rented this great two-bedroom cabin right at the foot of the mountain. Two bedrooms are totally the way to go. We had such a great time.”
“We did.”
“And she doesn’t need to know that Monty used the other bedroom because the cabin stove in our room and the fireplace in the living room were bad for him.”
Kensi was quiet for a minute. “You would have been dangerous as a fulltime lawyer.”
He smiled. “The secret is to tell the truth, just tell the truth in the way that is best for your case.”
All right. I'm ranting. By 100% agree with @synthcoyote on the whole ADHD moon thing.
Have ADHD. I also have autism. Now of course everyone has different kinds of ADHD and autism and it's different how much it affects people. But for me at least, ADHD Moon is stupid.
Sure with Monty it's really exaggerated ADHD. But you know it makes sense. Monty isn't impulsive he just gets sidetracked really easily. His friends are trying to talk to him about one thing he'll start talking about it then he'll get distracted by something and the friend has to redirect.
That's how ADHD works. It's not the fact that you are impulsive. It's the fact that you get distracted. Which actually comes out as being very forgetful.
You could be going up to the fridge to get some milk for some cereal. Then all the sudden your brain is wondering about cleaning out the fridge. Then your brain wanders off about some old leftovers you left in there. You then grab those leftovers to clean up the fridge. And it's not until you sit back down at the table that you realize you already had cereal in the bowl!
Moon does not act like this. They keep pressing that moons random acts are because of ADHD. But a person with ADHD can almost always tell you the line of thought that happened to make them do such a thing! With Moon it's usually "because I wanted to" or "I don't know".
Monty does actions with purpose. Sure there's a good chance he'll get distracted and start working on another project. But it's not like he started it without meaning!
Moon makes stuff, because he wants, to make a stuff. It's borderline impulsiveness. Moon fits so much better with the spectrum of autism.
Now my autism affects me less than my ADHD. So I can't count into everything that happens. But my brother has some supreme autism. And what moon does, lines up. Far better!
For some reason the Sun and Moon show has decided that ADHD is a catch all term for doing things randomly. That is not how ADHD works and it's irritating.
ADHD is when your line of thought gets interrupted by other random thoughts. You aren't just doing things because you can. You're doing things cuz in the moment it feels like you got to do it and usually it's connected to a reason. No matter how dumb or simple it is.
Moon does not have reasons for his actions. He has reasons for the satellites and reasons for other projects. But he doesn't have a reason to build a nanite vehicle. And he definitely didn't have random thought process for any of the stuff he did before!
I will admit new moon does carry some ADHD like qualities. He links together a lot of strange thoughts. But previous moon was not like this. He was never like this.
With Monty I could forgive the ADHD claim. It was exaggerated but it made sense. This is just a random claim that they're trying to force into our brains now. Just say that moon has autism!
It matches up much better and you don't even have to be particular with it! Autism is such a wide spectrum. ADHD is a much smaller spectrum with more specifics. You can label autism on something and it will make sense to at least somebody in the world. Not ADHD. I think technically ADHD is a part of the autism spectrum.
I don't know. I don't think this claim is going to change anytime soon especially since it's been mentioned in around 3 episodes. But I really wish they would redefine this. I will forgive new moon for this accusation, But for anything considering old moon it should not be brought up!
Old moon in every way had no ADHD. And I desperately wish they would stop trying to link old moon with new moons actions. They are not the same, and they do not need to be the same. Moon was reset. We do not need some useless reason to compare the new moon and the old moon. They were redoing his character for a reason! So they need to stop bringing it up!
Okay I think this rant is done. Again I blame @synthcoyote for bringing this fury to the forefront.
3. Every Man For Himself
The excitement about the new world was quick to die, replaced instead by new problems. Evelyn didn’t want to go anywhere near the rest of the delinquents as she was pretty sure that they would jump her the second they saw her.
It was complicated.
She wasn’t like Clarke or Wells, because they were stuck up assholes, but she wasn’t like those other beasts either. She just decided to keep for herself until the rest of the Ark came down.
And then what?
She was supposed to be dead in a week, and now there she was, on Earth. All by herself. Footsteps’ sound came from behind her as the girl raised her head from the ground where she had sat, bored out of her mind.
“Something tells me that there is bad news behind the corner, isn't there?” Evelyn asked as she eyed the pair coming towards her. “Yes, there is.” Clarke replied, looking worried “We landed here, and Mount Weather is there.” The blonde started to point somewhere behind the forest, “So we need to make our way there if we want to get that food. It’s probably going to take all day to hike there.” She explained.
Evelyn stayed quiet, the little excitement left from before vanished before she could even enjoy it.
“The communication system is also dead. I went to the roof, heat fried the wires.” Wells added.
Great, just fucking great.
"Well, all that matters right now is getting to Mount Weather.” The blonde stated, not missing the confused glance the brunette beside her shot her, “ See?” She crouched down on the floor to draw something on a map Evelyn didn’t care enough to look at, “Look. This is us. This is where we need to get to if we want to survive." Clarke replied while shooting an annoyed look at the boy. Wells obviously missed it, but Evelyn surely didn't.
“Where did you learn to do that?” Wells asked, as if he couldn’t make the situation anymore tense.
Clarke coughed and shifted on her feets awkwardly.
”Your father…” He realized. Wells looked like he wanted to say something else but Evelyn pipped in, while glaring at him.
“What does this stuff have to do to me? In case you missed it I left the magic wand at home.” She said, getting up and wiping her dirty hands on her discolored jeans, “And sure as hell not hiking in a radioactive forest.”
“We need the supplies.” Clarke sounded annoyed, which made the other girl roll her eyes, “Then let’s go hunting, or the hell I don’t know, let’s go fucking picking berries.” Evelyn shot back. “Half of us didn’t even pass basic Earth Skills’s class.” Wells objected.
“Us?” Evelyn chuckled, “There is not us. These people wouldn’t spit on you even if you were on fire, trust me, as soon as something goes wrong they will blame us.” She spat, “Is every man for himself Jaha, it has always been.”
Wells's face contorted in a mask of worry as he eyed the girl next to him. But Clarke’s eyes were fixed on Evelyn with an unreadable expression.
“Hey” a voice called.
Evelyn shot one last glance to the pair before swiveling around and saw Jasper walking towards her alongside Monty. “I just wanted to say that what you did to that guard was cool.” He said
“Thanks.” She replied. His blood was still stuck on her hand, now dried and peeling off. He thought it was cool, not gross. Sometimes Evelyn tended to forget that not everyone came from the Phoenix, where a thing like that would simply be insane. “Hey, cool, a map.” he continued, trying to flirt with Clarke. “They got a bar in this town? I'll buy you two ladies a beer.” he smirked, leaving Clarke flustered. Evelyn thought it was funny but Wells clearly didn’t agree. “You mind?” He snarled to Jasper, grabbing his arm. Evelyn knew the feelings Wells held for the blonde a bit too well, so she understood his reaction, as idiotic as it was, but before her or Clarke could stop him another boy jumped in the conversation, followed by a lot of other delinquents.
“Hey, hey, hey, hands off him. He's with us.” He barked at Wells.
Mop of brown hair with blue eyes. Crooked nose. Not give half a fuck attitude. Evelyn instantly recognized John Murphy, much to her annoyment. Their cells were on the same floor, so she often heard him fighting with the guards for whatever reason. Her father floated his a few years back for something Evelyn was too young to remember.
He hated her. The feeling was very much reciprocated.
“Relax. We're just trying to figure out where we are." Wells replied, trying to sound calm. But Evelyn noticed how his eyes flickered to look at the crowd that was forming around them. He was scared. The girl sighed, knowing damn well that if it came down to a fight she would have his back. Every man for himself was just an utopia. "We're on the ground. That is not good enough for you?" Bellamy said from afar, making his way with Octavia towards the crowd. "Thanks captain obvious but I don't think that's what Wells ment." Evelyn replied, annoyed. Why couldn't anyone just mind their own fucking bussines, she thought. "Exactly." Wells responded, giving Evelyn a silent thank you which made her roll her eyes, "We need to find Mount Weather. You heard my father's message. That has to be our first priority." He announced.
Great, now that Jaha was brought into the conversation they were going to get beaten up for sure. Evelyn had read enough history books to know what happens to the aristocrats in the middle of riots. The crowd started whispering, worried that they weren't going to survive. What a bunch of sheeps. "Screw your father." Octavia retorted. "What, you think you're in charge here, you and your little Princesses?" Here comes another idiot, Evelyn thought. She had enough of this bullshit, "No one fucking cares about who is in charge. We need to get to Mount Weather not because the Chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we'll get and the harder this'll be." She replied before she could even realize what she was saying. "Evelyn is right. How long do you think we'll last without those supplies? We're looking at a twenty-mile trek, okay? So if we want to get there before dark, we need to leave now." Clarke added, shooting the brunette a confused expression. "I got a better idea. You three go, find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change." Bellamy said, causing Evelyn to roll her eyes. That boy was seriously starting to get on her nerves. "You're not listening. We all need to go." Wells basically begged. The girl was tired of this dumb argument. It was her first day on Earth, she wasn't going to spend it with a group of imbeciles. But just as she was going away, someone pushed Wells from behind.
"Look at this, everybody… The Chancellor of Earth." Murphy said.
As if her day couldn’t get even brighter.
The crowd immediately started cheering, clearly wanting the two of them to fight. Evelyn wasted no time jumping in the middle of the people, shoving a few guys that weren’t smart enough to let her pass away.
“You think that's funny?” Wells spat as the other boy circled him.
Murphy pushed Wells, causing him to fall and twist his ankle. But he immediately got up, even though he was clearly hurt.
“No, but that was.” He said as he came closer to the stumbling boy.
“What kind of coward are you, jumping a single boy while you are what? Ten people?” Evelyn spat as she finally broke free from the crowd squeezing her, “Even a neanderthal like you should know that it isn’t right.”
“No way, we even got the Vice. Did I miss the council memo?” Murphy barked, the crowd around him chuckling.
“Step away.” The girl stood her ground, crossing her arms, “Or it will be two against ten, and I promise that I don't go easy.”
The crowd started cheering and clapping. Evelyn caught a glimpse of Clarke’s disappointed expression among them. She had to fight the urge to scoff. The little princess could be as disappointed as she wanted, but it was Evelyn who stepped up to help a limping boy, not her.
The promise of a good fight was just a bonus.
"Kid's got one leg. How about you wait until it's a fair fight?" Another boy jumped in, getting between Wells and the delinquent. Evelyn recognized him as the spacewalker who wasted a month's worth of oxygen.
A thick silence shifted on the crowd but she didn't care. She shot Murphy a death glare and hurried by Wells’s side, trying to help him get away from the fight.
“C’mon, we don’t have all day.” The brunette hurried in a whisper as Wells stumbled behind her.
“Why did you do that?” He asked once they were far enough from the crowd.
“Survival. Now you owe me.” She explained with a stern tone as she looked around, “Sit.” She ordered once she saw a fallen log near them.
Wells wordlessy obeyed, “You’ll come with us to Mount Weather?” He asked once he had sitten down.
“Absolutely no. That would be stupid.” Evelyn replied.
“Why not? You even have a knife, most of us don’t.” He questioned.
“What?” Her brows furrowed in confusion, “I don’t have a knife.”
“You do, it’s in your pocket I think. I could feel it while you dragged me away.” He explained with a shrug, “Hey I don’t care that you have it, y’know? It’s good.” But Evelyn wasn’t listening to him rambling, instead she reached her pocket and pulled out a shiny cold steel knife. Not one of those rusty boot knives she saw when she worked at the Walden, no, that was an expensive knife for sure.
Evelyn was surprised that it didn’t impale her while she was on the drop ship. But how did it end up there? She was sure that she would have known if she was carrying around a knife.
“Lyn!” A high pitched voice called from afar, snapping the brunette from her thoughts. Her head shot up to look at the source of the noise. A shot, scrawny girl was running towards her. Her hair was a light blonde collected in a ponytail with the usual braid in them. Evelyn was the one to teach her how to do it, because the rich girls in the Phoenix carried their hair like that. But while on their hair it looked elegant, in the girl’s crazy hair it just made her look even more juvenile.
“Charlie!” Evelyn shouted as she got up, tucking her knife in her waistband and hiding it with her jacket. She turned out to look at Wells, her expression cold again as she brought her finger to her lips in a shushing motion. “You owe me.” She mouthed to him, making him nod.
The blonde had now reached them, her big blue eyes looking up at Evelyn as she held her in a crushing hug, “I thought they had floated you.”
“Nah, they knew better.” The older girl shook her head as she looked down at her old roommate.
She didn’t know what having a sister meant, no one from the Ark except for the Blakes knew, but Charlie was her sister. Their bond was stronger than blood.
Suddenly everything shifted. It couldn’t be everyman for himself, because Charlie was there, which made her Evelyn’s responsibility. She was too young, too inexperienced to be out there with those brutus. Too naive, too kind.
Evelyn pulled away to study her face, holding it in her fingers. There was a nasty cut on her forehead, probably due the abrupt landing, and she still looked sick. Her pale skin was sweaty and dark bags stood under her big eyes.
“We are okay now, we are together.” Evelyn reassured the young girl.
Her eyes fell on Wells, who was watching her with a surprised expression. It must be weird to see that caring side of the Kane girl, she thought as she turned to him, “This is Charlie, she was in the same cell as me for a while.” She explained, “This is Wells, Jaha’s son.” She introduced to the young girl.
“Hi.” The girl shyly waved from behind Evelyn as she blushed. A smirk grew on the brunette’s face as she shook her head.
Evelyn felt Charlie pulling her sleeve, and when she looked around to ask her what was wrong she noticed her pointing towards a figure coming towards them. Clarke.
“It’s okay, it’s just Clarke.” Evelyn assured the young girl. She didn’t handle crowds well, so it was quite a surprise how easily she bonded with the older girl.
“Hey.” Clarke greeted, “How’s your ankle?” She asked Wells.
Right, Evelyn thought, she had completely forgotten about his injury.
“Better.” Wells nodded, “So Mount Weather. When do we leave?"
"Right now. We'll be back tomorrow with food." Clarke replied.
"Do you think you can stand up?" Evelyn asked Wells.
Wells was like her brother before she got locked up, and even though they weren’t friends anymore she still worried for him sometimes.
"Yeah yeah, don't worry, I've got this." Wells said, giving her a small smile.
"Don't even think about it. You aren't coming." Clarke instructed, then turned to Evelyn, “Changed your mind?” The girl glanced at Charlie behind her. She could hunt for two, and Charlie was really smart, they didn’t need the Ark’s food, not anymore.
“No, we are staying here, where it is safe.” She stated.
“Safe? Have you seen those guys?” Finn nodded towards Bellamy’s pack, who was also eyeing them.
“You should really come, we need as many arms as we can.” Clarke ignored Finn’s comment, “We have to stick together.”
“I think that we are both capable of making our decisions for ourselves, thank you." Evelyn replied and she felt Charlie shift on her feet behind her. If there was one thing that Evelyn definitely didn't need was following someone else's orders. "We'll need more people." Clarke said, ignoring Evelyn’s comment.
She knew that her and the brunette weren't exactly friends anymore, but she didn't expect her to be so hostile. It hurted a bit, but Evelyn wasn’t nice to anyone so Clarke didn’t take it too personally.
Finn grabbed Monty and Jasper and turned back to Clarke "Four of us. Can we go now?"
"Sounds like a party. Make it five." Octavia said as she got close to the group.
Great, Evelyn thought, now what was next? The other Blake?
“Hey, what the hell do you think you are doing?”
Speak of the devil…
“Going for a walk.” Octavia shrugged.
Evelyn had to admit that she liked her style, if only she wasn’t Bellamy’s sister she would actually find her tolerable.
“Hey, were you trying to take this off?” Clarke’s voice snapped her back from the siblings’ discussion.
“Yeah, so?” Finn asked as he fidgeted with the wristband on his arm. A piece of metal was missing and there were a few scratches on it.
Evelyn didn’t think anything about it. Maybe it was to locate them or something, but she doubted that the people up there cared enough to know where their dear lab rats went.
“So this wristband transmits your vital signs to The Ark. Take it off, and they'll think you're dead.” Clarke replied.
Of course, that was why. They needed data to go on with their little experiment. An idea came in the back of Evelyn’s mind. She also had a wristband. And a knife. And an asshole father that was for sure watching those monitors.
“Should I care?” Finn asked.
“Well, I don't know. Do you want the people you love to think you're dead? Do you want them to follow you down here in two months? Because they won't if they think we're dying.” The blonde replied one last time before turning her back at him and focussing on Wells’s ankle one last time.
Would her father care if she died? Evelyn doubted it. He probably had an expensive bottle of liquor hidden somewhere for when she finally decided to snuff it.
"Ok then let's go." Clarke said.
“Wait.” A voice called from behind her, “I want to come too.” Charlie spoke for the first time.
Evelyn turned around to face the young girl, “No you don’t.”
“I do.” Charlie’s voice didn’t quiver as she raised her chin, “I want to go. I want to be useful.”
“You are already useful.” The brunette insisted, “You can’t go there, what if…” She lowered her voice, “What if you have another crisis?” She whispered so that only the other girl could hear her.
“I don’t want to sit here and wait for the Ark to save us, knowing that I didn’t help.” Charlie said, “I don’t want to be like that for my whole life. Afraid.”
Evelyn studied the girl for a few moments, but she knew deep down that there was no way she could convince her. It wouldn’t be fair. This was also her space odyssey, she deserved to see the world.
“Be careful.” She said as she placed a hand on Charlie’s shoulder.” The blonde threw herself in the older girl’s arms, “Thank you.” She mumbled.
Evelyn just nodded, “Don’t trust anyone. Stay with Clarke. Don’t be a hero. Eat what they eat.” She whispered as she held the girl close, “Your life is more worthy than theirs. Come back alive. Whatever it takes.”
She could feel Charlie shake a bit in her arms, but Evelyn had to let her know those things. If she was there she would put her and Charlie’s lifes first, even if it meant letting the others fend for themself.
So she watched the group disappear in the woods, biting her lip. Clarke turned around for one second to glance at the brunette, and for a second she thought that she smiled, but it was probably her imagination.
The last thing she felt was another pair of eyes fixed on her as she made her way back to the dropship. She glanced towards the margin of the forest and her eyes met Bellamy’s curious ones. He smirked at her and she rolled her eyes before completely disappearing inside the ship.
Fun ask: What are your favorite weapons in RWBY and in what order?
This is actually a pretty easy for me. I'll talk about 4 (see what i did there?) in particular from my least favorite up to my favorite.
Ember Celica: One of the few Gauntlet Weapons in the show & in my opinion, it's the best one. First of all, i like the design. A pair of golden bracelets that can turn into bulky, yet cool looking Gauntless that shoot shotgun rifles by THROWING A PUNCH! (well, until V6, but we don't talk about that scene in the end). I think this is a great representation of Yang's personality & it goes well with her Semblance. If she has to use her BODY to take hits, then she'll use her FISTS to deliver even STRONGER hits. It's a pretty good use of the "The best offense is a good defense" trope, which i appreciate. It's also a good way to show how smart Yang is since SHE'S the one who build it, imagine how much time & effort Yang had to put into making this weapon considering how dangerous it actually is?
Ozpin's Cane (which doesn't have a canon name as far as i can remember): Despite it's simple design, i like the way it's used like a rapier most of the time & above all else, the lore & history behind it. As Ozma passed on from host to host, he imbued his life force into the cane so that when the time is right, he'll use its true power... & BOY, did Volume 8 DELIVER on that front.
Crescent Rose: This probably wouldn't been as high as it is now for it not for V9, especially in the last chapter. I definitely LOVE Crescent Rose, it's an incredible design that's iconic. It made a Scythe that's also a Sniper, 2 things that SHOULDN'T work together, ACTUALLY work. But then we go to Volume 9, where it's used as a way to challenge Ruby's idendity, which i LOVE. I can't wait to see what the rest of V9 has in-store for her, especially Casey's recent tweet about next episode being "Edge City"... Oh boi...
Harbinger: This is LITERALLY Ragna The Bloodedge's Weapon, but with a Shotgun feature, how can i NOT love it?! Whenever i see Qrow fight with it, i ALWAYS think to myself that the writers (especially Monty back when he was alive, RIP) played A LOT of fighting games when developing some RWBY characters & their weapons. Look at Penny for example, she's a CLEAR reference & homage to Nu-13 from Blazblue. Can't say i blame them for it, this shit is lit! I also like how the scythe form of Harbinger itself is rarely used in the show, as if it's only used when Qrow is going to fight seriously, which is always hype. It's not as plot thematic as the last 3, but it's definitely the coolest & most fun to watch out of these 4 weapons i mentioned... & Now i want a scene where Qrow & Ragna are shooting the shit in a bar. Someone write a fanfic about that, i'd read it! XD
Lunnnnaaar! The boy's back! (In a different universe, on a different channel, but come on let me have this let me have thi- (kidding we're getting him back in like a week or two at this point))
Anyway, I like the idea of this! With the existence of an endless expanse of universes to choose from, inevitably there would be one where Lunar got the star. I like this take on what a God Lunar might look like too. He didn't feel so 'evil' to me, even if those first and last lines could have been read as sinister. He just felt like the same ol' funky Lunar.
That's such a loaded line tho. "Oh, also, I know about Eclipse's whole thing. He's not a good actor." Like, Lunar knows and keeps him around anyway. It feels less sinister and more tragic than anything. Lunar could just get rid of Eclipse, he knows he's pretending to be a subserviant robot, and it can't be for any good reason. But then he'd be bored and alone. I imagine right after this, Lunar just used the power of the star to erase Eclipses memory of him telling that to Gregory.
It's interesting because it's, like, the exact opposite of what I imagined a Starholder Lunar would look like, but of course the show's Lunar and this Lunar have lived completely different lives.
I found it especially hilarious that as the episode goes on, some of the shit Lunar does becomes extra funny.
Like, he knows Eclipse isn't a robot robot, but chooses to leave Gregory alone with him anyway.
He knows Gregory is here by accident AND that he want's to go home, but is like 'You know what would be funny? Letting the kid wander around this very unsafe-especially-for-kids environment.' "At least let the kid explore!" and second later being like, 'the adults who let you wander into this unsafe-especially-for-kids environment are bad for letting you do that'.
If Eclipse was pretending to be a robot the whole time, the knock knock segment was Eclipse fucking with Gregory, and Lunar's reaction was genuine
Other notes:
-I wonder what a meeting between Lunar from that universe and God Monty would look like.
-Poor Gregory just getting pummeled with information about shit he can't understand.
-"Minecraft is a staple in every universe!"
-Eclipse just leaping into the Witherstorm, and Lunar tiredly, calmly assuring Gregory he was fine. I feel some way about that.
-"He accidentally tried touching my source of almighty power." Accidentally. On accident.
-"That was gonna be fun to explain." "I don't want to die." Made ME die laughing, mostly just because this is such a tonal heel turn compared to the last time we heard Sun say he didn't want to die.
-Bonus: Moon assuring assuring assuring Gregory that it was NOT HIS FAULT he went into the ballpit made me very happy. Like, super happy. From the very little bit I've seen of RWaGS, characters teeter on treating Gregory like a child and like an adult all the time, and blame him for things that weren't his fault a lot.
do the others ever actually realize how fucked it was that they were blaming Moon so much? Does Moon ever forgive them? Cuz frankly I don't think I would, I'm not sure if I'd feel safe trusting them to actually help if I got into trouble like that a second time after being treated like garbage the first time.
The animatronics did gradually start to realize, though it was months after the fact that the realization started for most of them. I'll be talking about the main band here, as Sun is a whole other category in of itself and is far more complex and this post is already very long. They were all pretty shaken up themselves, and in general the lack of stability from when everything was still haywire still remained. In a way having someone to blame just made things simpler, and Vanessa wasn't around anymore. The one most involved in her plans was Moon, and Moon is also the one who while infected was the most passionate about the role. For some reference even the other infected animatronics were wary of Infected Moon because of his strength, temper, and cruelty. Infected Moon was seriously bad, probably the worst infected animatronic and even before the others got infected he still left a mark when he was on his patrols with his cruelty and generally enjoying to make people scared. Just stating this to make it very clear that Infected Moon was not a good person, nowhere near it, and he had a lot of involvement in Vanny's plans as he was her right hand man so to speak.
People like Roxanne and Monty felt somewhat betrayed as well, because if he had done his job none of them would've had to suffer. Roxanne held a grudge against Moon for a long time because she felt that he could've stopped her plan before anyone got hurt if he just did his job correctly. Meanwhile Monty just felt really hurt that Moon helped spread the virus, even if he wasn't entirely in his right mind when he did it. He knows that he wasn't but it still hurts and he still feels like Moon betrayed him.
Honestly it took really long for them to separate Infected Moon and Moon, as Infected Moon was such a wicked cruel person. He left a nasty mark, and they couldn't really process that Moon was a victim too because they kept associating him with Infected Moon and his actions.
Moon was very conflicted when they started trying to make it up to him. On one hand, he didn't want to accept it. They'd been villianizing him for weeks while he himself was struggling to cope with the trauma he'd been put through. Hell, they made it actively harder for him to handle his emotions. But at the same time, he knows why they blame him for it. He understands Roxanne's point and blames himself for it too, and thinks that it was irresponsible of him to not report it the moment he felt something was wrong. if he'd done that no one would've had to suffer. And he has Infected Moons memories he knows just how awful he had been acting, and understands that it would leave some scars. He also gets why Monty feels betrayed because infected or not, Moon still willingly doomed them all to the same fate by spreading it to them and making sure it went through. She didn't force him to do it which makes him feel even worse about it, even more like he was the one to blame. Though really she didn't HAVE to force him to do it; All she had to do was know her audience. She knew by then that Infected Moon is a spiteful control freak whose majorly jealous of mainly his brother yes but also of the band for being treated as if their so much more important. It really wasn't that hard to convince him to find a way to put the program in them so she could get them on their side, especially with offering him to be in charge of them. The idea of instilling some amount fear in the oh so important golden children of the company with the strange program that they don't know how to control while also being in a position of power over them once it did finish was something he would never refuse.
Sorry for rambling, Infected Moon is a very fun topic to discuss lol. But anyways eventually he would try to forgive them. It would take a very long time though.
Hello, i actually came to ask if I could use Rupes and Pur in a Mer-May fic. I’m putting DJMM in there but I’d love to add them into the story, I adore the personalities you gave them an I know they can help this story pop but I want your permission first. If you wish to know the story please message me when you have the chance.
Oh I would absolutely love that! That sounds so cool and awesome! You can absolutely use Rupes and Pur! There are actually 4 other Mini Music Men that have yet to make it into the comic! Here they are if you are interested! Along with some of their base personalities.
Tumblr media
-Oonops hangs out a lot with DJ and talks quite a bit and will blurt out answer with pure confidence even if they have no idea what he is talking about. This has gotten him into trouble and then he would either hide away or hide behind DJ. (Blind in right eye, decent vision in left eye)
-Pius also hangs out with DJ a lot. She is a lot more quiet but not shy. Usually taking things in before acting. Would rather watch and listen than be on the front stage. But his listening has given them a lot of information to use against others who annoy them. (Decent vision in both eyes)
-Argi is a bit more goofy and high spirited. Tries to crack jokes a lot and cheer people up. Hangs out with DJ, Sun, or Bonnie when Bonnie was still around. Will sometimes help Pur cause trouble but most of the time they are alone and asleep or with the three animatronics mentions above. (Worst eyesight out of the bunch, almost completely blind in both eyes)
-Purpur is very energetic and chaotic. Has a "bite first and ask questions later" mentality. Will ambush and bite the others for fun. Especially if Rupes is with them helping them cause trouble. Will also ambush Roxy, Sun or Freddy, but not Chica, Monty or Moon. Probably the worse behaved out of all the spiders. Fairly independent and only hangs out with Rupes, Dj, and Moon on occasions (Has good eyesight close up but far away is only decent)
-Rupes is more relaxed and likes to help out a lot, but will also be very sarcastic and potentially annoying with how much sarcasm they use. Does tend to bite a bit, but not often. Will follow direct rules given by Moon and DJ, but will also hang out and mess around with Pur. The two get into a lot of trouble, and when things go wrong Rupes will blame Pur to get out of trouble and feel bad if caught by Moon or DJ. Same independence level as Pur but will also hang out with Monty a lot. (Best eyesight out of all the spiders. Can see near and far)
-And finally, Cetia is very shy and reserved. She tends to stick mostly Moon or no one at all. Especially if Moon is playing lullabies. Sometimes he will be seen in the kitchen talking with Chica, but most often hangs around the Daycare. Has accidentally scared kids and feels bad. They are one to hug and hang on people they feel comfortable and safe around, which are Moon, DJ, and Chica. (Has good near sight but bad far sight)
[All Mini Music Men go by any pronouns! So go ahead and use He/She/They/It if you want!]
Chapter 13 - Quiet Realization
Tumblr media
Why did she ask to go outside?
The question kept circling in her brain, beating herself up. She'd figured things out. She'd made her life easy, simple. All she did was tailor her mentality to accept her fate. She made the best of a bad situation for her own sanity, survival. By becoming and accepting the fact that she was going to be Thomas's lover and eventual mother of his children. Not getting attached, keeping her emotions surface level was easy. But the other day, she said something and thought something she never expected. And it had sunk her into a contemplative mood.
Elizabeth sat at the kitchen table, wearing a sleeveless dress that showed the scars on her arms. Henrietta sat to her right, Luda Mae was in front of her, and Luda Mae’s sister was to her left. Elizabeth had no idea what the woman’s name was. When they were first introduced she’d been so surprised by the woman’s weight she’d completely missed her name. By the time she realized it the conversation had moved on. It was far too embarrassing to ask.
Did she care? Not really. She'd just taken to calling her "The Tea Lady" in her own head and "ma'am" out loud. The nickname fit her as they had tea every time she visited. Which had become almost an every other day visit. Elizabeth couldn't help but feel like there was another motive behind the visits. She'd been living with the Hewitts for well over a month and a half. Going on two? The only outside person she met was the doctor when she'd gotten sick. She didn't even know Thomas had an aunt or cousin. The two started coming over with some frequency. But it was Henrietta that Elizabeth had spent a lot more alone time with, besides for Thomas.
Elizabeth glanced over at Henrietta. It was hard, not ascribing motives behind the woman's questions and her "friendliness". The woman was soft spoken, somewhat shy and seemed to be affable. The problem was she was a Hewitt. And, other than Thomas, Elizabeth couldn't trust the family. She still felt as if she were on thin ice.
There was little doubt in her mind that the Tea Lady and Henrietta were aware of what had happened to Elizabeth. Which meant, in a way, both condoned the actions that had been taken.
It's in the past, Liz, she reminded herself as her heart started to pick up its beat with fear. It was hard, pushing herself past the traumatic physical and emotional events that she'd been put through over a month ago. She didn't blame Thomas completely. It was his family she blamed. They raised him. They encouraged him. She even lumped in his aunt with Luda Mae, Hoyt, and Monty. Henrietta, she wasn't quite sure about. It was hard to pinpoint the woman's true personality.
Thomas was a lot easier to read and figure out. A simple man. He loved and cared about his family with a fierceness so strong he was willing to kill for them. And they, in turn, were willing to protect him as well. It was so strange. For as violent and morally reprehensible as they were, the Hewitts were a close knit family. They relied on each other and cared about each other. And, as far as she could tell, they weren't abusive towards each other.
That was a surprise. Once she realized what kind of people they were, she figured their cruelty would extend to their inner lives as well. But it didn't. And that puzzled her. There was a part of her, albeit a small part, that yearned to be accepted. That wanted that kind of loyalty. That didn't want to feel like the only person she could rely on was herself. Thomas, well, she could trust that she was safe with him. But, rely on him?
But, how could she earn the trust of people she didn't trust herself? Thomas was easy. Accepting her role as his pseudo wife was what won him over. It was basically just sex that kept him happy. And the fact that she'd have his children one day. If he was interested in her as a person, truly to get to know her, he never made any hints. That helped. It helped that no one tried to get to know her. That they basically made decisions for her. It kept her emotions in check. Or so she thought.
And then, Handsome Jack had to come into the picture.
"Would you like to go outside with me, Lizzy?" Henrietta asked, interrupting her thoughts.
Elizabeth grounded her teeth for a moment. She hated it. She hated that they took the liberty to call her Lizzy without her permission. But, she also didn't want to voice out her frustration. In the grand scheme of things, it was a relatively small issue. And they probably wouldn't stop anyway. Not like they even bothered asking her anything.
Elizabeth smiled, nodding her head. "Sure," she replied automatically as she got up. She didn't want to. In fact, she wanted to be left alone. She wanted to think, to figure things out. To return her state of mind back to where it was. Unfortunately, even though she seemed to be given options, Elizabeth felt like they were there as a pretense.
Henrietta opened the front door and the two walked out onto the porch. The hot Texas heat wrapped around them. The house was a little bit cooler than the outside thanks to the fans.
“I heard you met Handsome Jack,” Henrietta said softly.
Elizabeth looked at her with a raised eyebrow. The woman’s voice came out all dreamy and wanting. “Yes,” Elizabeth said with a nod of her head. He was true to his name. Quite a handsome man about her age.
Yet, the moment her eyes landed on him and his friends her defenses raised. They were there to check her out. There was little doubt that one of the locals noticed the new girl in town and word quickly spread. Which Jack confirmed that he heard about her from his grandfather.
“He is rather handsome, ain’t he?” Henrietta asked, her cheeks reddened at her words and she looked down for a moment in embarrassment.
Elizabeth titled her head to one side. Was that a trap? “Pretty to look at, but ugly inside,” Elizabeth answered, shrugging her shoulders.
Anger zapped through her, making her clench her fists. Jack didn't insult Thomas. He didn't have to. He insulted the store, but that was an object. It was the way he smiled and laughed as his friends threw out the insults. But worst of all, Jack saw Thomas. She was pretty sure no one else noticed Thomas standing in the corner, just barely within view. If they did, they probably wouldn't have said what they said. However, Jack did. She saw it in the man's eyes. For a brief moment he looked scared. But, when Thomas disappeared into the backroom Jack laughed the loudest.
Elizabeth grounded her teeth in annoyance at herself. On more than one occasion she'd picked a fight with someone who dared to make fun of her brother. She used to be good with her words, good with her actions, good at humiliating people. She lost that somewhere and that frustrated her.
Henrietta sighed. “You give me hope, Lizzy,” she said, staring out at the yellow grass.
"Hope?" Elizabeth asked. Interruptions were good. She was starting to feel sorry for herself.
Henrietta sat in one of the rocking chairs and Elizabeth sat on the bench beside her.
"Yes," Henrietta said with a nod of her head. She gave Elizabeth a small, half smile. “If my cousin can have someone like you fall in love with him, then maybe I could get someone like Handsome Jack,” she said wistfully.
Love. That word.
"You don't want a man like, Jack," Elizabeth stated, a bit of rage sparked through her again. She should have gone to Thomas and kissed him, just to shut those fools up. It wasn't about jealousy. It was about making a statement. Expectations be damned.
"You think I can't get a man like him?" Henrietta asked. Even though her voice was soft, there was something there, a bit of anger perhaps?
Elizabeth shook her head. "It's not that, Henrietta. It's you don't want a man like him. He's not… How do I say this. I've known guys like him. He'll be with you long enough until you're boring and then move on. You don't want that. You want someone who will be there for you. Take care of you when you're sick. Jump to protect you from harm. Accept you for who you are. Let you be you."
"Then a man like Thomas but with your looks," Henrietta said with a smile.
Elizabeth let out a light chuckle. Like Thomas? The man raped her, forced her to stay, watched her every move. And yet he was the same man who protected her, even from herself. He clearly loved and adored her. He was, without a doubt in her mind, devoted to her. In his eyes, she was family. She saw that. She saw that in the way he acted, in what he did for her. In the concerned looks he shot at her if he thought she was upset with him. But Thomas didn't know her. And she was fine with that. It helped her kept that line between them.
At least, that's where she thought it did.
Then Handsome 'fucking' Jack had walk into the general store with his little group of friends. And they had to remind her of that part that was in her. The part that she thought had died when her brother did. Her overprotective nature to defend someone she cared about. They went after Thomas with their words and she, for the first time since her brother's death, wanted to get violent. And that's when she realized her feelings weren't shallow anymore.
"You must be pretty excited," Henrietta mused, interrupting Elizabeth's thoughts yet again.
"For what?" Elizabeth asked, focusing her attention on the woman.
"To have a baby, of course," Henrietta stated as if that were the only answer.
"Yes. We are all very excited," Luda Mae interrupted, walking out of the house to join them on the porch. Her sister waddled out behind her, gasping for breath before plopping down on a chair that somehow held her weight.
"Very excited," she wheezed.
A baby. That's all the Hewitts talked about when she was around. Even Thomas would touch her belly a couple times a day, just in case.
"Have you bled recently?" Henrietta asked.
The hairs on Elizabeth's arms stood on end. "No," she said. "But!" she quickly added as Henrietta and the Tea Lady let out a little squeal. She gave the women a cautious look. "I haven't been here long. And, it takes time. And, I'm not exactly regular."
"You're not?" Henrietta asked in surprise.
"You should have Dr. Hawkins take a look at the girl," the Tea Lady said to Luda Mae as if Elizabeth wasn't there.
"I'm fine," Elizabeth snapped. Her heart pounded in her chest. The doctor would for sure find her IUD. And she wasn't sure if he'd let her keep it and lie for her or not. Either way, she didn't want to find out.
The women stared at her and she forced out a smile, shrugging her shoulders.
"I've already seen a doctor about it. It happens. He said I don't have to worry. I can have kids."
"Just the same maybe Dr. Hawkins should take a look at you," Luda Mae said. There was something about her voice that put Elizabeth on edge. "We wouldn't want to jeopardize the baby by having you work hard if you are pregnant. The way you two have been going at it, I'd be surprised if you weren't." She let out a light chuckle.
Elizabeth stared at the grass, her brain jumping for any sort of excuse. What would they do if they found out? Maybe the doctor wouldn't tell them, but even then she'd be in serious trouble. She wasn't ready to be pregnant. A baby. The ultimate price to pay to be accepted into the family.
A frown crossed her brow. But would it?
"Of course," she said softly, nodding her head. "The baby." Her voice was flatter than she wanted, but she couldn't put any emotion behind the word. It had never been about her. She knew that. It wasn't about who she was. It was about what she could give. Her uterus. A child for them to dote on.
"-weddin'," the Tea Lady's chortle interrupted Elizabeth's musing.
"I'm sorry, what?" Elizabeth asked.
"Must have been a nice weddin'," the Tea Lady repeated. "It's unfortunate you felt the need not to invite family.
"I believe it was more to escape her family than to harm ours. Isn't that right, Lizzy? Although, she is right," Luda Mae said with a little nod of her head.
Escape. Escape her grief was what it was. She ran away to not have to think about her brother's death. She still hadn't dealt with that. It was still back there, urging her to confront it. She hadn't had the time or energy. She had used that numbness on life to her advantage, dealing with her abduction. But now, it was going away. And the emotions she thought she'd nicely locked up were beginning to tangle themselves in her life again.
"The way you two eloped didn't allow the family to celebrate properly your marriage."
Eloped. Marriage. Her mind took her back to that horrible night. She didn't want to relive it. She tried to put it behind her. But, it came back, hitting her hard. Her fear, the off-white old wedding dress she wore. Thomas's clear intent. Her desperation to get away. His insistence, his claim.
Her mouth felt dry and her palms were sweaty. The women's laughter broke through her mind again.
"I don't see why not," Henrietta exclaimed. "How excitin'!"
Elizabeth clenched her fists she needed to pay more attention, stop thinking. Just, let go. Become the object the family wanted. The three women stared at her again, expectantly.
"What?" she asked.
"How'd you like a real large Texan celebration of your marriage?" the Tea Lady said as Luda Mae opened her mouth.
How would she like? The question repeated for a moment in her head. Would she like? They didn't know: Who she was, her likes, her dislikes. Did they really want to know?
She looked at the woman, eyes carefully examining each of their expressions. No. They didn't. She could tell them what she wanted and they'd do things their way. Her opinion didn't matter. She didn't matter. She frowned at the women.
The world suddenly expanded and flattened. Handsome Jack's face popped into her head, the way he winked at her. Then Hoyt, how he leered at her when he could. Luda Mae, Henrietta, the freaking Tea Lady, excited and expectant for the baby to come from her. Thomas. Her parents. The kids in high school. Jason. They all wanted one thing in the end. Yet none of them wanted to get to know her.
"He doesn't even know me," she stated.
She got off the bench, pushing herself away from them and stepped onto the dirt road. The sun beat down on her body and in the background she heard her name being called, but she ignored them and kept walking.
After about a minute, she stopped and stood still. There was a slight breeze, but it was hot and humid. No comfort there. There was nothing in front of her. No town, no house, no civilization. Just grass, a dirt road and the forest in the distance. A vast emptiness and a smoldering heat.
The sun irritated her skin. She should have worn sunblock. But, she didn't care. She embraced herself, suddenly feeling horribly lonely and used.
Everything was going great. Had been going great. She'd been able to successfully fool herself, repressing her feelings. But now… She had attached herself to him. It was clear to her. Her heart had gotten involved at some point. She wanted him to want her, not just because she could have his baby. She wanted his family to accept her. She wanted to stop feeling that with one wrong move she'd find herself in big trouble again.
She should never have asked to go outside. She wish she'd never met that Handsome Jack.
Something pressed on her head, making her look up. Thomas arranged a straw hat to cover her from the sun. He smiled, looking proud then his smile disappeared as he looked at her in concern.
"I'll be alright," she stated, focusing on nothing. "I'm not going to run away."
He nodded, but didn't move. Instead, he stood beside her and waited patiently. His large body shielded her from the sun as best as he could.
Her protector. Even from herself.
"Thomas?" she finally asked, looking up at him again. He cocked his head to one side. She opened her mouth, half tempted to say what was on her mind. "Never mind," she muttered.
He cupped her chin, turning her face to look at him. He gave his head a short nod.
What?
"Do you think?" she paused. Her heart thumped hard in her chest. She uncrossed her arms and gently examined his face. He cringed a little at her touch, probably always would.
Yes, she very much cared about him.
"Your family wants to celebrate our apparent marriage," she said lightly, massaging one cheek with her hand.
His face shifted ever so slightly and she saw the shame wash over him. Thinking about their first night? Good. That made her feel a little bit better.
She searched his face, watching his expression. He told her once, the day her life official shifted for the better, that he saw her as a person. He wasn't a liar, the man couldn't really lie even if he wanted to. He wasn't a manipulator.
My protector, she thought. Dare she? She did her best not to talk about herself because it was just about survival. True feelings, her heart, weren't supposed to get involved.
"You don't know me, Thomas." She dared.
His eyes widened and he shook his head as if to disagree with her.
"You don't know what I like or dislike. What I love or hate. What makes me happy or afraid," she continued. "I don't know you too well either. And you want a baby. You want it soon. You won't have time to get to know me once a baby gets here."
She let his face go and turned to stare out at nothing, crossing her arms over her chest. "I can get past it. I think. I mean. I have to. I mean, I will," she stammered, trying to collect her thoughts. She sniffled, scoffed then growled at herself.
"Sorry," she muttered, wiping her eyes. "I'm such a baby right now. I never used to be. I just had this moment. Bah." She forced a chuckle, wiping her eyes again before waving her hand in the air in dismissal. "I'll get over it," she said with a shrug. Always one to push her true feelings back to pretend she was alright.
Thomas placed his hand under her chin to make her look up at him. His brow had shifted to worry as he stroked her face.
He leaned down, pressing his lips on hers in a gentle kiss. She kissed him back.
The wind picked up for a moment, forcing her hat off her head, making Thomas cry out in distress while she laughed. It was entertaining, watching him struggle to pick up the hat as the wind played with it. A welcome distraction. A way to get herself back under control.
Finally, he managed to snatch it as the wind picked it up again. He walked back to her, dusting it off before placing it back on her head.
She smiled up at him, giving him another kiss. "Thank you," she said.
He beamed down at her then placed his arm around her shoulders, leading her back to the Hewitt home.
She glanced up at him for a moment.
I think I love you.
interesting headcanon, vanny is the one responsible for bonnie's death (probably through hacking monty) and pinned the blame on monty so she can get away with it scott free, she might also played a role in foxy's disappearance/death
I know that @kyot092 has done a few things for what happened to Bonnie by Vanny's hand. Monty got framed for it too it's really nicely done!
Vanny is pretty much the only explanation we have aside from Faz Ent just pulling the plug on Bonnie and Foxy, which is perfectly reasonable to assume honestly. Vanny being responsible for both is a big ouch for everyone. Since I'm pretty sure Moon was her first hacked victim, that would put Moon in prime position to be the one that killed Foxy too so you'd have two animatronics being forced to kill their friends. That sucks for them :(
Honestly, if she didn't make Monty kill Bonnie, she probably would have gotten Roxy to do it. She's canonically the only one that is known to be going around ripping staffbots to shreds, pretty sure her attraction is closer to Bonnie's than Monty's is and apparently the bowling alley was supposed to overlook the Raceway at some point so like... in terms of convenience, she is literally right there to do it.
But yeah, Faz Ent could have decommissioned Bonnie and Foxy, but it's way more dramatic to say that Vanny is the reason they're both gone now. A lot of potential for stories there!
