I just did a photo reveal today with Sheri Halfon Where she was pleasantly surprised with her photos. She said, "Nothing against you Goldy, I wasn't sure what I would get."
This is one of the best compliments I can get from somebody who was out of their comfort zone booking this 40 over 40 Women's Portrait Experience. Sheri was super chill and cool to deal with the entire process but I know this wasn't something that she normally does. This woman was the furthest thing from a narcissist! Even though she is so beautiful on the outside, inside she remains so humble and kind.
She comes from California just like I did and we had a lot in common. She told me she had one of the most amazing men she was married to for many years. He became suddenly ill and had a very short time to live. She spoke so highly of this man, his career, friends, and life. It was beautiful to hear and it was as though I was right there in her memories. She was left with two children to raise on her own and figure it out. There's something very special and dangerous I should say about women who are out there doing things on their own. They become invincible and unstoppable because they have no choice not to be.
Sheri was so easy to work with and so much fun. We did a lot of laughing and it shows through on her photos because there was so much joy present in the shoot. I'm so blessed to meet such wonderful and solid women through this project. I was even more excited to find out she was friends with one of the first women to sign on for the 40 over 40, Joni Werthan. "Hell on Wheels" Is my nickname for Joni as she takes names and numbers and gets the job done right the first time. She's just a remarkable human being which makes only perfect sense she would be friends with Sheri.
Woman! You look FIERCE! Thank you for bringing such beautiful outfits and having your friend Lorri help out as your personal wardrobe stylist! She nailed it girl and so did you.
I can't wait to see you all at the Gala. It's going to be a really fun night just celebrating everyone's beauty. Thanks for trusting us with your photos. XOXOX
