Fun fact: In Barbatos's intimacy storyline in Nightbringer he ends up living with Solomon and MC at Cocytus Hall temporarily. Here's a highlight from his 40 intimacy call:

The way he makes Solomon sit in the corner. 😭 You cannot convince me he didn't raise this man.

Also do you guys think cat Luci wanted to get pet by Satan since Lucifer knows how much he loves cats and this would have been the opportunity to bond a little, or do you think he kept running away because being treated like a cat is beneath him?

~ A Call With Solomon ~

It starts out innocent enough, Solomon asking MC what's for dinner and MC responding to his inquiry by letting him know what they've prepared.

If Nightbringer has taught us anything it's that, even though humans technically don't get drunk from Demonus, Solomon clearly likes to drink xD

But what a nice offer! Solomon is eager to eat our cooking and wants to share a relaxing evening with us.

That should be the end of the phone call, right?

Wrong.

Our devious teacher actually called us and intentionally spoke to us as if we were married in order to deliberately make Lucifer jealous... and it worked! xD

My reaction :

I'm not sure if Solomon was lowkey threatening Lucifer since Lucifer insulted him, or maybe Solomon was simply prepared and willing to show off his abilities.... but either way, talk about an intense phone call to receive (no doubt the tension could be felt through the phone ^^")

Gotta admit, I do think it's funny that Lucifer indirectly called Solomon foolish, especially since Barbatos calls him an imbecile and shows no restraint when it comes to insulting his intelligence ... Poor Solomon lol

Then to rub it in even further :

Solomon just HAS to reiterate that he's the one who is coming home to us.

If there's a war between demons and humans, Solomon will be the cause....

I’m pretty disappointed so,

I saw my Diavolo on intimacy lvl 11 so I went “oh! that’s so low compared to most of my characters, I should really get him up!”

So I grinded this for three weeks straight or more, until 20, and I was actually exited for his phone call because it took me a lot of time and I thought I should get something as a reward, this was the phone call:

That’s it. Nothing else. Just a reminder to meet up with him.

What’s funnier is that his lower-level intimacy phone calls were actually more longer and we had some really nice chats however this, I don’t think it should have been that short even if 20 isn’t so high (in dev terms since they think getting to 30 is easy)

There’s an implied date but instead it should have been after the date and Diavolo talking about it instead would have been better. They could have just done that instead.

It really felt like nothing after I grinded for ages.

I mean to be fair, the game never has been good with these phone calls :/

The birthday calls in Nightbringer are literally so wholesome???

Especially those from Raphael and even Mephisto?!

(If you haven't had your birthday yet but don't mind slight spoilers, there is more under the cut :) )

I love how Raphael cares about our well-being even when we don't know each other well in the OG OM timeline.

Mephistopheles really surprised me the most. I expected some arrogant comments, but he even offered to protect us might we be in danger (which we will, lol ). Never thought I'd say this, but he... might not be so bad after all? He even wants to interview us next year for the next birthday, and he wants a friendship with us 😭 Hopefully MC, meaning us, can help him widen his horizon and be more open-minded toward other beings that aren't demons.

diavolo is such an interesting, multifaceted character but tragically I legitimately feel like I cannot talk about that without getting a ten paragraph essay from lucifer/demon bros fans about how he's an evil abuser actually + secretly the main villain

so anyway he's my little meowmeow and he's never done anything wrong in his whole life
