Realizing Oneness Together: Why Sharing Reiki Healing Matters
Realizing our connection and oneness with each other and the universe, the basic underlying principle of the system of Reiki, is often enhanced in communion with others.
In December 2011, I had been receiving Reiki sessions for about four months and, despite my skepticism, experienced regular benefits and had a series of increasingly significant inner realizations. One night I was sitting in my car after grocery shopping and saw a man on the other side of the parking lot weeping as he was talking to a woman. I felt such empathy with him and had the thought and…

Reiki, Healing with Our Hands
Some time ago, I learned that some people used their hands to heal or relieve discomfort; a Japanese technique known as Reiki (霊気). It is a very soft and relaxing technique, where physical contact is minimal or nonexistent at all, in which it is understood that “ki” or universal energy is transmitted from one person to another to help you heal. In turn, there is a Japanese word, “teate”, which means to care for the sick. The kanji “te” 手, means hand and the kanji reading “ate” 当, which means to put ( 手当、てあて)、意味: (━する) けがや病気などの処置を施すこと。ののぇ
This led me to a curiosity about the subject, which has led me to watch videos and read articles from practitioners recounting their experience. Sharing the practice of reiki as something natural to the human being that brings more benefits than is usually attributed to it.

On May 25, 2018, experience something very special. It was a day before my husband managed to quit smoking.
On that date, my husband was 69 years old, of which he had been smoking tobacco for 50 years. I used to consume a pack of cigarettes in the span of a day and a half. Among its peculiarities, at that time my husband used baking soda to combat toothache, in addition to using it to brush his teeth. My husband says he used a minimal amount of baking soda, but I thought it was a lot.
That day, May 25, 2018, meeting with our neighbor at coffee time, they sat down to talk on the terrace of our house. I offered them a cup of coffee and desserts to go with it. He smoked a couple of cigarettes over the course of two hours. Later we ate as we usually do at noon, nothing out of the ordinary. True to his custom, he took his nap after eating. After his nap he told me that he couldn’t sleep because he had stomach pain. All afternoon he was in severe pain, and at dinner time he had a bowl of white rice with hot water (a Japanese dish called Okayu), perhaps some apple wedges, and a cup of chamomile tea. As the pain did not subside, he went to bed earlier than usual.

Mad Cats is Mad Cap Hiliarity that only Reiki Tsuno Can Realise!
Coming to #FantasiaFest2023 #Fantasia is a feline caper that'll no doubt get catlovers cautious about annoying their fur-ious loved ones. Mad Cats has an agenda! #moviewreview at:
Playing at Fantasia Film Festival Aug 4, 2023 For tickets, please visit the link here. Mad Cats is more than just another absurdist fantasy, and I rather enjoyed how it brought the Egyptian veneration of felis catus to a Japanese film. Here, a cult of cat-women are hell-bent on taking out a mega corporation. While the motives aren’t entirely clear, I would not question it. Although this…

Observations: Virtual versus Real Life Friends
Is it possible to have REAL friends whom you can say, NO to (as in attending various events) and not have them read sh*t into it or have suspicions about my motives? Jesus! No wonder so many of us prefer to work from home, blog, and have virtual relationships. I’m about over this deal to have in-person friendships. Truly! I have a LOT going on! And I don’t need this drama. The person I am…

方と気 Form & Energy
Tumblr media
The poet William Blake proposed that two types of people exist: the "energetic creators" and the "rational organizers", or, as he calls them in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell, the "devils" and "angels".
According to Blake, both are necessary to life. Often both can be found in a single person.
He said we should go to heaven for form and to hell for energy—and marry the two.
When we can face our inner heaven and our inner hell, this is the highest form of creativity.
方 (kata) is the Japanese character for “form” or “way of doing something”. In this Medium article, Alvin T. argues that an obsession with form, rather than essence, is a significant hallmark of Japanese culture. After reading it, I'm inclined to agree.
気 (ki) is the Japanese character for energy. It can mean physical energy, mental energy, or even something like “life-force”. It is found in the Japanese words for breath, atmosphere, energy, weather and spirit. It is the “ki” in “genki”, “reiki”, and aikido”. You can find out more about all the ways in which 気 (ki) is used in the Japanese language in this article from the Japan times.

Visualization is very prominent in the witchcraft community as a foundation for spellwork. This practice stems from The Law of Attraction, appropriative, and misinformed mystic philosophy. New Aged practices permeated actual magical practices through the energetic model. The energy work within New Age scope derived from westernized Reiki, which heavily relies on visualization and consumerism.
Visualization is the act of imagining what it is you’re trying to accomplish, like a vision board. This requires that the headspace is nearly entirely occupied, leaving very little room for much else. Mental visual representations are also imperfect and cannot cohesively contain enough details to be of any use for spellwork. Focus (or headspace) is the aspect of spellwork that is A) Intrinsically required for conscious energy work, which is less taxing than visualization. B) The accuracy of spell & C) The channel for passion to power your spell. Without well distributed headspace, spells become ineffective at best. At worst, the spell could have a completely different effect than desired due to a lack of continuous focus and a faulty imperfect image. Beyond this, those who have aphantasia cant perform any spells that rely on visualization. Which actually gives them an advantage; however, this makes it very difficult to find spells within our community due to the common reliance on visualization.
The Law of Attraction is rooted in classism, systemic racism, and white supremacy. The idea that you can just think about something really hard and you’ll obtain it. The idea also stems from an idealistic and proselytized interpretation of theoretical physical and quantum mechanics. This practice when used for manifestation is completely ineffective. If it works for someone, it is a direct result of confirmation bias and a system that they have a predisposed privilege in. Most practitioners think of The Law of Attraction as a means to escape poverty or find love and will take even the most minuscule financial or social gain as confirmation for their ability to manifest their desires.
This practice also directly leads to other new age practices like Reiki, pseudo intellectualism, misogyny, appropriation, misinterpretations of ancient history, and New Thought. Like Mormonism, the New Age movement was started by Helen Schucman who was a self-proclaimed prophet that was given visions by Jesus Christ. Because of this, it was very easy for fascists to create a pipeline. Through anti-Semitism and New Thought, followers of New Age practice will inevitably begin absorbing fascist propaganda.  The practice also is quick to instill Doublethink, which leads a person to believing two very contradictory concepts at once. As an example, believing that all humans are filled with light and are inherently an aspect of the divine that deserves love and respect; while simultaneously, very prone to believing that ancient civilizations’ wonders were crafted by aliens or believing in reptilian overlords within the illuminati. This belief inherently postulates that ancient POC couldn't possibly have the intelligence or technology to construct these wonders, while reptilian overlords is a redressing of the narrative that Jewish bankers are in control of the world.
Reiki was started in the 1920’s by Mikao Usui in Japan. The practice was immediately monetized. In order to learn it you had to pay a “Master” to “Attune” you to Qi, or the Universal Life Force. While Qi is used in a lot of Eastern Asian traditions, Reiki shares no cultural or direct connection to any of them. Mikao claimed that Reiki was revealed to him during a 21 day fasting retreat at Kurama Temple in Japan, however the temple claims they’ve never held a retreat before. Since he was a Buddhist, a lot of his faith and philosophies were introduced into Reiki. While there are claims that Mikao’s original texts are heavily based in Buddhism, these texts have never been found and authenticated. The practice's reign in Japan was short lived in that period, so Chujiro Hayashi, a student of Mikao, and his apprentice Hawayo Takata Christianized the practice so that it would be more appealing to the west. This was done by claiming that Jesus Christ performed his miracles by the employment of Reiki, or a very similar practice. In the United States, there is absolutely no regulation of the “training programs” that a practitioner must go through, and because of this the societal reflection is very much a pyramid scheme. Due to this westernization and Christianization, the practice has completely lost its original fidelity. The Reiki that is practiced today is nothing like Mikao’s Reiki. IT has since adopted an appropriated form of *Chakras and the *Kundalini. Beyond this, Reiki requires that the receiver of the healing enters a light trance state while the “Master” places their hands on their body. The issue then becomes that physical stimulation often breaks trance and meditative states. Reiki’s interpretation of energy work has permeated into modern witchcraft, combined with Visualization from The Law of Attraction, which hinders the efficiency and effectiveness of the community at large and makes it likely that they’ll succumb to fascist propaganda.

☆.´•`. ☽ .☆, 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲 ,☆. ☽ .`•´.☆
You can call me Cosmic or K, I go by she/her. I’m a Millennial (90s kid). This is my mostly anon blog about manifesting, shifting, and the multiverse. I love all things supernatural, witchy and sci-fi. I love cats, I have two & a bunch of strays. My favorite hobby at the moment (aside from learning about shifting lol) is creating AI art.
I love to learn and share my experience with others. I’m a Leo, and my Mercury is in Virgo so I love to do research, study new things, experiment, and I have a more “logical” mind. I’m not selling anything on this blog, and not connecting it to any of my other socials. I’m just here to help others and learn more myself :)
I got into personal development/coaching around 2016 and found manifestation around the same time. Although it was mostly law of attraction based teaching (which I don’t agree with anymore), I spent years studying different concepts, learning different methods, getting certified in different things.
I found law of assumption and shifting a few months ago and have radically changed my mindset. Although I learned a lot over the years, so many of the coaches and manifesting teachers I used to follow just ended up making up rules and limits where we don’t need them.
If you’re wondering what kind of experience & expertise I do have, here are some of the things I have studied and accomplished in my life:
I have a bachelors degree in language/linguistics from a university in Tokyo. I used to be obsessed with Japan and moved to Tokyo for 5 years on my own. (I live in the US now)
I’m a licensed nail tech & esthetician
I’m certified in life & success coaching, EFT tapping, hypnotherapy, and Timeline therapy
I’m Reiki level 3 certified
I’ve worked as a model for a while, mostly brand ambassador/promo model events, hand & beauty modeling on live TV, and the occasional commercial
I have manifested things big and small over the years, and will be posting some of my favorite manifestation stories here
I don’t do any coaching, but feel free to DM me with questions. No trauma dumping and haters will be blocked.

What is Reiki?
This post will serve as an introduction to Reiki - what it is, its' history, what treatments and attunements are, and how to learn it.
What Is Reiki?
It is a Japanese word that is pronounced "Ray-Key." "Rei" means wisdom or knowledge, and "Ki" (aka Qi or Chi, like my username) is the life-force energy that permeates all living and non-living things and is all around us. Thus, Reiki is typically translated to "Universal Life Force Energy."
Reiki, then, is an energy healing modality that channels this Universal Life Force Energy into an individual, which touts various benefits, including: relaxation, pain and tension relief, stimulating the immune system, promoting natural healing, emotional and spiritual healing, and much more. Fun fact: Reiki is now in over 800 hospitals in the USA!
Reiki is a healing modality and NOT a religion. Anyone of any faith or belief system (or lack thereof) can practice and benefit from Reiki.
History
(In a nutshell:) Reiki was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese doctor in the early 20th century. He spent most of his life searching for an ancient healing modality. At the end of a 21-day fasting retreat, Dr. Usui was apparently struck by a great light. He saw the sacred symbols he had earlier found during his research, and he acquired a deep understanding of them, receiving a spiritual empowerment, and achieving enlightenment.
Reiki was brought to the West by a Hawaiian woman named Hawayo Takata, and the teaching system she used is the one that is still used in the West today. It was thought that Takata's lineage was the only one that remained after WWII, but it was later discovered that this was not true, and that there is a whole different lineage and school in Japan that is unfortunately largely closed to outsiders.
Treatments
How can Reiki help me? What does a treatment look like?
Reiki can be beneficial for pretty much any kind of healing. It is used for physical healing and recovery, and mental and spiritual healing as well. Personally, I tend to specialize more towards the non-physical healing aspects of Reiki. Combined with my knack towards energy work, my style of Reiki is very beneficial for energetic and auric healing. It is also good for emotional healing, like moving through emotions, healing from events and people, developing as a person, etc. It can also facilitate spiritual growth.
Reiki treatments are typically done in person. At these sessions, the client will spend most if not all of the treatment lying down. No clothing needs to come off. Light-contact between the practitioner and the client may occur, those physical touch is not required for the Reiki to work.
If you are receiving Reiki, you might feel a variety of sensations, including: hot/cold flashes, heat/cool/tingling sensations, light buzzing, waves of emotions, deep relaxation/sleepiness, and others.
BUT. Reiki doesn't have to be done in person! It can be done remotely, and there is a special thing in Reiki to facilitate distance healings. It works just as well via distance as it does in-person. The treatments and sensations look the same as it would in-person, except the person won't be there physically (obviously).
How Can I Learn Reiki?
There is a common misconception that anyone can learn Reiki, simply by picking up some books and learning about them. This is not true. In order to be able to channel Reiki, you must be given the ability by a Reiki Master in what is called an Attunement. Without being attuned to Reiki, you cannot practice it.
Think of it like this: suppose that you find out that there is a new color discovered beyond the normal visible spectrum that humans can learn to see, and you want to see it. But how could you find it if you cannot see it? While theoretically possible, it would be VERY difficult. Instead, it would be much easier to find someone who can already see it and show you the color directly. This is how Reiki works; you cannot paint with this new color if you cannot see it, and you cannot see it without a Reiki Master to show it to you.
What Are Attunements?
An Attunement is a special ceremony that connects you to the source of Reiki by someone who is already connected to it. The attunement permanently changes your energy field in a new way that lets Reiki flow through you. In Reiki, there are 3 levels of practitioners, and thus are 3 attunements. Each level opens you and your energy field to more Reiki, with the 3rd, or Reiki Masters attunement, opening you up completely to Reiki.
The Attunement process is a healing journey of its own. Reiki increases your vibration, and causes anything that is below that vibration to filter out of your life. Each level corresponds to an aspect of ourselves - the 1st to the physical, the 2nd to the mental and emotional, and the 3rd to the spiritual. With each attunement, most practitioners find that they undergo healing in areas of their life that correspond to that attunement.
For example, my first attunement led to major diet changes. I suddenly lost a desire for processed foods, gravitating more towards fruits and veggies. I also ended up cutting out sugar and caffeine and other things out of my diet. My second attunement led to some incredible inner healing, including trauma work, removal of relationship blocks, coming out to my family, etc. My third attunement led to some pretty big life changes almost immediately, major spiritual growth, and there is more to come!
It is also common for practitioners to experience intuitive and spiritual growth after attunements. Many become more sensitive and receptive to energy, their connection to their intuition deepens, and some develop spiritual gifts. Personally, after my second attunement, I developed the ability to see and work with auras, and my third attunement so far has deepened that ability and made me much more sensitive to energy. Supposedly it is very common to develop the ability to work with and heal Past Lives at the master level as well.
My Services
When my Paid Services are active, I will be offering Reiki Healing as one of them! It will be distance healing (ofc). I am very good at it though, almost more effective than in-person. I'm very good at doing energetic and aura healing, as well as spiritual and emotional healing. If you want healing with something outside of those, I can do that too! To learn more, visit my Paid Services (available soon).
I will also eventually offer to teach and attune Reiki! As a Reiki Master, I have the ability to attune others, and yes - it does work over distance! This may be a few months in the future, so if this is something that interests you, stay tuned!
If you have any other questions about Reiki, you're welcome to shoot me an ask or a message, and I'll do my best to answer it.
Reiki is wonderful, and I can say with genuine honesty that it completely changed my life. I love it, and I'm excited to share this wonderful gift with all of you.
Blessings!

My Reiki Story, Pt. 2
The next stage of my Reiki journey was the point of no return, although I wouldn't realize it until years later. It was then I began to step into my power as a practitioner, and move away from a career no longer resonate with my soul.
“Do you want to keep going? Because there’s no going back.” Lisa asked me this a few months after she had initiated me to Level I of Reiki training. She had been teaching me the basics of energy work, and about how she approached it as a Mayan/Aztec curandero. I had been advancing spiritually faster than anyone she had ever worked with previously, and she was trying to warn me it could get…
