Second Class (She's Too Good for Me) [Instrumental Take] - The Move

How you could record something so in the goddamn pocket and then just abandon it is beyond me. The drums and bass on this are out of the damn stratosphere-- ticks all the boxes for me.

Roy Wood would (wood?) eventually finish this track off with a vocal, etc as part of the Rock Medley on Boulders in '73, but that version doesn't really have the same vibe or drive of this early take.

Absolutely gutted to hear about the passing of Move/Wizzard bassist Rick Price. Such a fabulous player and songwriter, his style suited Roy Wood’s music so perfectly and I always considered him severely underrated. RIP.
