I think I would actually kill for a Zelda game from Ganon’s perspective that’s all about holding hyrule accountable and fighting against colonialism n all that but Nintendo is excessively cringe

I'm literally holding zero hopes for that, or even any kind of exploration of Hyrule as less than an idealistic perfect place, but I completely agree that it would be dope to get at least some degree of reframing.

I actually held my hopes up for TotK to... sort of account for that? Like I assumed the name "Tears of the Kingdom" meant that accountability was obviously going to be a major part of the story and the world. Honestly everything pointed towards that: humanizing the shapeless threat from BotW and giving it a human shape with history and motivations (or just with big pecs yes I suppose that's good enough sure whatever), the fact that the characters are trying to figure out how to rebuild their broken kindgom, if at all, the archeology motif as a way to question the past...

I genuinely do not understand why they called the game Tears of the Kingdom. The tears, all Zelda's (because she is the kingdom, apparently???), are a skippable questline you don't actually have to complete, showing you a story that barely even qualifies as a tragedy let alone an exploration of the kingdom's origins and/or mistakes. Thematically it's completely meaningless as a title, and it's such a potent reflection on the fact that this game is fundamentally disjointed and uses cheap melodrama to pretend it has point while actually having... basically nothing to say

Oh i am so mad at Roger. They settled with Rick at least but are still going with Roger.

Redo of a 13-year-old drawing! Emily Windsnap/The Little Mermaid crossover. After constantly comparing these two series, crossover fanart was inevitable. Honestly they have a lot in common...

1) Both Melody and Emily are half human, half mermaid 2)Both turn into mermaids at some point

3) Both have their mermaid heritage kept a secret from them until age 12

4) Both are kept away from the water by their overprotective mothers until age 12 5)Both discover a secret underwater kingdom of merpeople 6)Both feel like a fish-out-of-water ( pun intended!) amongst their human peers 7)Both bring together the two worlds of land and sea 8) They're both 12

9) Both Neptune and King Triton are loud, tempestuous rulers forbidding contact between humans and merfolk...

10)...because both  tragically lost their wives 10) Both Jake and Ariel rescue their future spouses from a shipwreck 11) Both Penny and Eric get brain-washed by a merperson in disguise, into forgetting about their future spouses (and get their memories back)

Celina and Claire: "The Union's Forgotten Princesses,"

The Princesses Celina (Celina Anne Bach-Rodchester; born 10 May 1982) and Claire (Claire Tatiana Bach-Rodchester; born 25 September 1988) are the daughters of Princess Rose Mary and Josef, the Count March.
