Shiika Lycara

The Shiika Lycara are the most brutal cohort of gladiators in the bloodthirsty empire of Urakkad. The gladiator school has been in existence for over ten centuries under the continued stewardship of the wicked Ruhat family. The school acquires its gladiators from the massive slave population of Urakkad as well as occasionally contracting free gladiators that have established a name for themselves. The gladiators of Shiika Lycara hail from the four corners of Arkera including exotic locals such as Domera, Huria and Suukim. The exotic menagerie of warriors from around creation draws morbidly curious spectators from around Arkera.

One in ten slaves purchased by Shiika Lycara survive training and then their first bought afterwich they earn the title of gladiator. Their physical training is nothing short of cruel as is the mental indoctrination they are subjected to on a daily basis. The most famed Shiika Lycara gladiators are those who kill without compunction, give no quarter and have no fear of death.

A skilled gladiator with a penchant for pleasing the crowd is worth more than his weight in gold. The best warriors bring in unimaginable revenue for the school making the Ruhat family one of the wealthiest in Urakkad. Upon attaining a certain level of success gladiators are able to buy their freedom though many having attained celebrity status choose to remain in the bloody arena. It is also not uncommon for the Black King to recruit Shiika Lycara gladiators to serve in his personal guard or elite military units.

A more concrete idea of what a mixed medium approach to this assignment would look like is this animation by Shiika Okada. She mixes rotoscoping with what I imagine, is a vector with keyframes.
