Police in Smiths Falls, Ont., are investigating after the town's recently installed rainbow crosswalks were vandalized Friday night.

The police force said they were looking for a person wanted in connection with a "mischief" committed around 10 p.m. at the corner of Beckwith and Church streets.

A photo posted on a local Facebook page showed the words "paint it black" scrawled on one of the crosswalks, along with a vulgarity.

“CHARGE FOUR MEN WITH THEFT OF CAR,” Ottawa Journal. February 12, 1930. Page 4. --- Said to be the fourth man in the quartet alleged to have stolen an automobile belonging to William R. Sproule, 203 Fourth avenue, on Sunday night, John Foley, aged 18, of 56 Bayview road, was arrested by Constable Frank Myles at his home shortly before one o'clock this morning.

The other three, Thomas Sullivan, 17, of 118 Arthur street; Howard Perkins, 18, of 945 Wellington street and Russell Dawson, 16, of 99 Rochester street, were brought back by Detective Jean Tissot from Smiths Falls where they were held by police. In Police Court today all four pleaded guilty and were remanded one week for sentence.

The men were taken into custody by Chief of Police Phillips of Smiths Falls who had seen them near the automobile which had been deserted at Lombardy. He captured two at once but two others ran away and only after a chase was Chief Phillips successful in apprehending one of the pair. The other got away.

I was thinking about giving Bilbo a therapy animal. The animal being ofc a bunny. I think losing his parents at a young age had a big toll on his mental health, and Gandalf suggested Bilbo to get a therapy pet for company. Radagast was obviously the one who suggested a bunny lol.
