I don’t know if we can ask twice but now I’m curious on what your space Trioholders headcanons are :)

You're fine! People are allowed to send more than one ask, and you send this one before I closed the ask game. (I closed it less than a day ago.)

I'm going to base this roughly in the same universe as your space Trioholders headcanons, so Yoichi is a prince, Second is a space pirate, and Third is just some guy dragged into their nonsense.

1. Yoichi is the prince of a planet of people with psychic powers, but he's an anomaly because he has no powers. All for One is the emperor of the local solar system and uses Yoichi's "weakness" as an excuse to keep him locked up in the palace. As a gift to his little brother, AFO and his doctor create a drug that is supposed to give Yoichi powers like everyone else. They can't be bothered to ask for Yoichi's consent before giving him this experimental drug. Well, it works, and Yoichi now gets visions of the future. Yoichi sees that his brother is planning to attack the peaceful neighboring planets and conquer the galaxy. AFO believes people with powers are superior and deserve to rule. Horrified, Yoichi flees the palace. (In yet another AU, AFO forced a power on his brother and it backfires. He never learns.)

2. Again, following your AU, Yoichi stows away on a ship belonging to Space Pirate Second. Although Second would argue that he's more of a rebel against the tyrant AFO who censors the information his people receive. Second smuggles in supplies and media. AFO thinks that Second has abducted his brother for ransom. (Despite a fair bit of evidence including a handwritten note, AFO refuses to believe Yoichi ran away without someone mind-controlling him.)

3. Second is exasperated at a stowaway but takes pity on Yoichi, believing he's fleeing a fascist regime like many other people. Initially Second offers to drop Yoichi off somewhere in the neighboring solar system, but then Yoichi gets a vision of Second's ship blowing up. Since Yoichi is new at visions, he thinks it's a structural flaw rather than realizing AFO is bringing enough firepower to destroy an army at them. Thus they take the ship to the closest mechanic.

4. Third was just minding his own business as a mechanic's assistant. Then an elite strikeforce of super soldiers (led by Gigantomachia) showed up to rescue their prince. Or they came to kidnap the prince themselves, if you ask Yoichi. Either way, Third ends up aboard the ship when Second flees the planet and he is NOT HAPPY to be dragged into this mess.

5. Second thinks that AFO is chasing after him for his rebellion. (AFO did not know who Second was before this.) Yoichi nearly tells Second the truth, but he's scared of being turned over, and the fate of the galaxy depends on him getting out word of AFO's invasion. Third overheard Gigantomachia accusing the prince of being a rebel and now thinks Second is a prince. Complicated misunderstandings ensue as this disaster team tries to make it to the nearest solar system to sound the alarm.

Why would Nate take 20/20 though? Surely in that 21 fight time he's renewed his contract at least once? Why would he still accept that when I assume he would have made more with another promotion?

A bunch of reasons. The landscape of MMA in 2012-2015 was . I don't know where fight 21 was on his contract (first, last, middle whatever) at the time but the MMA landscape was changing around this time.

1)_There was NOTHING else at the time. Strikeforce was gone. Pride was long gone. DREAM was gone. Affliction imploded on landing. Bellator was still doing 100k tournaments at the time, where three wins would net you 100k in a year. Bellator signing former "main event" UFC talent was just becoming a thing around that time. I think Rampage and Kongo had JUST gotten there in like 2013. WSOF had literally just appeared and paid the former UFC heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski 60k to headline a card.

2) Nate's manager during that period was Mike Kogan, around the time of his 21st fight. Kogan didn't last long and actually talked about a lot of the issues he faced trying to manage UFC fighters, including Nate. (ALSO FUCK MMAMANIA)

3) Nate actually got a 40k signing bonus. As far as I know, that was a one time thing. But it is worth noting that Nate sat out for a year before his 21st fight, complaining about his pay and asking to be released.

4) This was around the time that Nate fought for the UFC LW title. UFC makes contenders sign long term deals ahead of title fights. And they made Nate sign an 8 fight deal to fight for Bendo for the title.

I honestly forgot all about this until just now.

This is about to be barely coherent but I think you need to hear about it.

I just recalled a movie I used to watch and a particular scene in which 2 revolutionaries are spending a rainy night in a hut. I can't find a clip to confirm, but as I recall it, Jean, who is the captain of the whole revolutionary dealio, pauses mid-makeout to talk about revolution stuff while her partner in the scene just sort of nods along and continues to kiss her. (Don't question the logistics: it's a comedy from the 50s)

Again, I'm sure I'm not sounding very coherent, BUT THE POINT IS pausing mid-makeout to talk about revolutionary stuff while her partner nods along and continues to kiss her is an incredibly Edelgard thing and I thought you need to hear about it.

I want you to know this inspired me so much I am now writing a fic. I wanted to finish it before answering this ask but this'll probably take a while so here's a preview:

After their initial engagement, their partner and them had not been able to properly ease into the newly romantic character of their relationship; the threat of Those Who Slither Through The Dark, ever-present and all consuming, had been at the top of their minds. If they really were to be the light that shone upon Fodlan, they first needed to get rid of the pesky shadows underneath it; only then could peace truly reign, only then could the continent be truly united under the Emperor’s leadership, only then could they truly be together in the world they had created.

And they had done just that. Finally, after a thousand years, the head of the snake had been cut off. Agartha was well on its way to being reintroduced to the rest of the Fodlanese population now that the iron rule of Thales had finally ended, which had not come without its lot of issues. It certainly wasn’t easy for everyone to realize that people had lived underneath their very feet for centuries, nor was it to share their land, a land which fate they were still uncertain of: but after months of negotiating and peacekeeping, the Black Eagle Strikeforce had managed to install a semblance of peace, laying the foundations for what would hopefully happen to be a bright new future for Fodlan.

Now, however, Byleth wished to focus on their and Edelgard’s future.

They had decided to learn how to flirt.

Their first instinct had been to go to Garreg Mach’s library. They still remembered their first time there like it was yesterday: back then, they had been absolutely blown away but the sheer massiveness of the shelves filled to the brim with the knowledge they clearly lacked about the world around them. It also happened to be the first time they had felt intellectual emulation coursing through their veins- and before they could completely understand that sensation, they had found themself with their nose buried in books for the whole morning, feeding on all that new information. After they had officially been nominated as a professor, they had gone back, trying to find ways to convey their thoughts and expertise to their students in an organized, more academic manner- and whenever they visited, the contents of the books would most likely always hold an answer for them.

These romance books were no exception.

"she said she'd like to be in here after school she tried the other stuff, hope that's still alright" Nick I now learned "oh sorry it didn't work out but i'm more than happy to have her after school!" I said "thank you...and i'm gonna try a be here on time it's just in case" I nodded.

"okay guys before you go out for pick out, If you're family member sighed up for teacher day put the papers in the bin" I said as the kids lined up "here just in case my dad come on time" Natalie handed me the paper "you're dad wants to come to class," I checked the paper "tomorrow?" "yep that's what he said " she shrugged.

"what does you're dad do?" I said while we colored "he's a fighter" "a fighter?" "yeah he did UFC, Strikeforce and few other stuff...My Uncle is too!" "that's really cool" she nodded. I knew her mom most likely wasn't around cause she wasn't on any of her papers. "you should watch some of his fights" "I will when I go home" "hes really good" "i'll bet!" "My uncle was on TV before" "mm" "you should watch that too," she smiled "Daddy!" she ran to Nick in the door way.

"why are you so tired?" Nat asked Y/n "stayed up" she replied with a yawn "watching what I told you?" she nodded Nat smiled, then came next to me cutting pieces of green paper "what did you tell her?" I whispered she moved and sat on my knee "I told her to watch you're fights" she whispered in my ear with a smile "you did not" "Uncle Nate told me to tell her, he said you think she cute" she giggled "Natalie don't".

M: Your a dead man Nathan: you'll thank me later

"Guys to the floor" Y/n said today she had on a long light yellow dress her hair down "now who think thinks Mr.Diaz should read our story today" I shook my head as the kids said yes "I don-" Natalie cut me off "daddy please?" she pulled on my arm "they're five i think it will be easier than fighting in front of people" Y/n whispered handing me the book I sighed and opened the book "No you have to sit in the reading chair" one of the girls Sophie said I looked at Y/n and she smiled nodding her head to the chair.

"Ms. Y/n?" one of the kids asked as she wrote on the white board, the kids were doing free time "yes?" she turned "how do you spell husband?" "why do you need to spell husband?" "cause" the girl gigged, Y/n sighed and wrote in on the board "Y/n?" "yeah" "have you had a husband?" "I did" "why not anymore?" "I think it's time for lunch guys!" she said louder to the class.

I sat across from Y/n, Natalie next to me "daddy?" "yeah?" "can you open this?" I nodded opening her chips. "we gotta go to the gym after school" i said moving a piece of her hair "okay!" she shrugged with a smile. I watched as Y/n walked around helping all the kids "you're staring dad" "am not" I looked down at her, she nodded and took another bite "you are".'

"ask her dad" Nat said while I helped her with craft "I don't know what you're talking about" she sighed. "you guys can go, I can do the clean up" Y/n said with a smile "no it's fine we don't mind" I said "well thank you" she smiled. "Natalie i'm going to pick up some copy's down the hall, you want to come?" Y/n asked standing by the door, Nat looked at me and I nodded "yeah!".

"can I tell you something?" Natalie asked "yeah!" I smiled she sighed "my dad thinks you're cute" I laughed "does he?" "yeah and he told my uncle and he told me to tell you.. you like my dad?" "..yeah.." I smiled "i'm gonna tell him" "oh no you-don't have to do that" I shook my head "i know but i'm going to".

"sorry I just gotta grab this" Nick said putting his hands on my waist slightly moving me when I looked up at him he was looking down at me looking up and down before looking in my eyes "um yeah" I smiled with a nod.

"I told Y/n you think she's cute" Natalie said as I put papers on the desks "you're joking......What did she say?" "she likes you" she moved head side to side "she does?" Nate nodded with a smirk. "thank you guys for helping clean up and coming today " Y/n smiled "for sure" I said grabbing the pink backpack from the cubby "Bye Natalie!" she gave a wave "you're not gonna walk out with us?" Nat asked "no I have more worksheets to make" "okay!".

"Take your bag i'll met you outside" I told my daughter "why?" "i'll be two minute" "okay" I went back to Y/n Classroom and slightly opened the door sticking my head in, she turned and looked at me "you free tomorrow after you teach?" "yes" she smiled "want to go on a date?" she giggled blushing "yes I'd like that" "okay! talk to you tomorrow!" I smiled and she nodded.

Average Saiyan Soldier?

Average Saiyan Soldier.

We can use contextual cues from various characters to get a sense for this range, and it’s probably a bit weaker than you might suspect.

For the sake of contextualization we’ll be using annoying nerd scale and some annoying nerd articles (search them for the same wiki) to interpret annoying nerd scale relative to power level scale. We’ll be ignoring Movie Pamphlet numbers (ftmp, specifically pamphlet 6) and relying on Daizenshuu values, as well as those otherwise explicitly established. The original Broly scaling will also be largely eschewed, alongside the Bardock special, due to them coming off as “big number” and being given even less thought than normal.

SO!! Here are some ballpark values w/ context given to them: -2,000 is explicitly said by Freeza to be “impressive” in regards to snipers who are trained on him (hard to say if it’s impressive by Cold/Freeza Force metrics, saiyan standards, both; we know it’s not to him)

-Broly’s range of 920-10,000, we know at the high end it’s an unbelievable anomalous value that prompts saiyans to believe that it’s the result of a malfunction in a reading, w/ 920 he’s considered “remarkable” and 1,840 was considered powerful enough to pass Vegeta’s natural power level, which had surpassed all previous recorded child’s natural battle power. This means that, by adulthood, we can probably assume that most saiyan babies are expected to grow by about 10x to adulthood. At the low-end he’s roughly three times as strong one of the strongest 5-C characters (Piccolo @ resting 260).

-Roshi 139-180, based on context from other listings (here) an empowered Kamehameha seems to draw about anywhere from 2-3x the user’s Battle Power. This means that it takes about 280-540 (likely on the low range) is suitable to entirely destroy the moon. Given that Roshi’s blast was able to vaporize it without causing large portions to hit the surface of earth (presumably) this would be a significant excess of the power needed.

-Raditz appears at about 1,500 which carries some controversy as it applies to this. While high-quality Saibamen (stronger than normal) used by Vegeta and Nappa were about 1,200, Raditz was considered impressive enough to serve alongside Vegeta off-planet during the destruction of Vegeta. Assuming some degree of growth during this time, it’s safe to assume that Raditz was considered strong enough to join an elite caste at roughly the range of 1,000-1,200.

-Goku was 334-416 (lower end) when Raditz met him, was strong enough to be one of the only power levels at this level on the planet for Raditz to detect, and was not so weak that he was totally written off by Raditz upon arrival.

-Nappa was at 4,000 and seemed to consider everyone beneath 3,000 utterly trivial (though this might be a character factor)(Probably Low 5-B to potentially 5-B)

-Vegeta was 18,000, above average in the Feeza Force, seemed to be the strongest recorded saiyan to that point. (Low 5-B to 5-A)

-Foot Soldiers in the Freeza Force are sub-1,500 in the Namek strikeforce, meaning the average and median are probably also lower than this for the force at-large. Meanwhile, Kiwi was 18,000, the same as Vegeta’s resting power level, and considered an elite member.

So with the above values in-mind, and some of the context we’ve given to it, what can we figure? Well: 1,000 is considered enough to compatriot alongside elites, so 1,000 must be considered very strong, regardless of potential among saiyans. 300-400 is a moon-buster and considered salvageable for a mission. 1,800 is roughly the upper limit of what saiyan babies have ever been. Meanwhile, 900-1,000 was still powerful enough to be exceptional enough for elite caste, and worth a conversation regarding The Legendary Super Saiyan. 2,000 is considered exceptional for saiyan adults (who are broadly considered weak in the Freeza Force)

If the likes of Raditz is willing to see a 300-400 power “weakling” as worth consideration for such a mission, then it’s safe to assume that he expected some growth over time, and that the value wasn’t able to be construed as dead weight. By the perspective of Vegeta and Nappa, an average saiyan warrior would probably be dead weight, so the potential for growth showcased by Goku must not be that, a secondary Raditz isn’t great but worth something.

We could assume this 300-400 range to be the ceiling for typical saiyan warriors. This value tracks if you assume that they need to be able to bust a moon in a pinch during a mission, to prevent uncontrolled oozaru warriors and children from rampaging. This is consistent with the outlook of warriors in the Freeza Force disregarding saiyans usually, particularly in the case of the Ginyu Force, who probably exist in the 50,000+ range of power levels. 5-C is the typical roundabout for a saiyan soldier in this case, though likely in the lower end for that, and that’s for the majority of them, but likely even a weak saiyan is around 6-A, or 6-B at the absolute low end (thinking Gine).

Yes, even a weak saiyain is about as powerful as a strong Viltrumite.

Oh, you beautiful Brazilian boy.

If we haven’t already mentioned it, one of us is an Everton fan. And the tournament has been lit up by the club’s former legends.

Strikes from Valencia and Klaasen were nice to see, but a double from Richarlison for Brazil was a little raw. What could have been, if only the Toffees weren’t shit...

Still, a spectacular moment from a man who kept his promise to keep them up and it helped deliver BIG CASH MONEY for two of us.

It was a day of wins all round for two out of three of us. The Swiss rolled over the Cameroonians (sorry) as their front line worked like clockwork (sorry) to cut through the African’s defence like a Swiss Army Knife through hot chocolate (sorry, mainly because I don’t think that one even works). That was good enough for Tom and Neil to win, but Swiss indiscipline meant Alex’s bookings inspired bet didn’t work out. Neil’s £3 is now the biggest of the tournament so far.

A slightly dreary 0-0 between Ukraine and South Korea meant we all drew a blank but Ronaldo’s antics meant better fortunes. The unemployed striker hit the target twice and led his team to victory to give Tom and Neil another win - but the corners dried up in the second half to block Alex’s return.

Finally onto Brazil, and an impotent Serbian strikeforce meant Alex finished the day without a penny, the first QUAD loss of the tournament. Neil just needed the South Americans to win, which they duly did, while Richarlison’s double and a few early fouls gave Tom a win.

Here’s where we stand after day five and the first 16 games.

Alex: £9.38 DOWN Neil: £0.12 DOWN Tom: £4.83 DOWN

I know I like my stats, but these games are coming too thick and fast to work them out properly, thanks to the unique schedule of this year’s tournament. After 17 games at the last world cup, Alex was doing a few pounds better, while Neil is only pennies worse off. It’s a much worse showing for Tom, who was several pounds up in 2018 at this point.

Last summer in the Euros, after 15 games Alex was our leader on just over £2 down. Tom was 2p worse off than now while Neil is performing much better. But honest to god, who knows. Incredibly, we’re just four days away from the halfway mark... Here’s what we’re after today.

Alex:
