Jason will think twice about telling B that he's cold in his Robin shorts if this is what it gets him. Sure, Batman's giant cape is warm, but Bruce swaddled him in it like an oversized burrito, and he's having trouble extricating himself.

Bruce takes one look at him—half in, half out, like a kitten lost in a paper bag—and he just melts at the adorable and scoops him up to take him back to the Batmobile.

Jason, struggling: Lemme out, I can walk!

Bruce, endeared but hiding it: Free yourself. Consider that training.

Jason: I'm trying but I swear that cape is sentient and holding me back, what the fuck.

(He's right of course. The cape picked up a bit of Gotham's essence after spending so much time on Batman's shoulders, and the city is very protective of her baby Robin. Bruce doesn't know that, though, and he just thinks Jason is being dramatic.)

The cape feels pretty dejected when Jaybin finally frees himself. It hangs all sadly off B's shoulders when he puts it back on 😔

Meanwhile Bruce is amused because Jason's hair is an absolute rat's nest, and he's panting like he's gone ten rounds with an A lister. Like, he's all curled up on the passenger seat, grumbling about creative kidnappings and creepy capes, and Bruce is just like "aww that's my baby" inside.

The next morning, Alfred is very entertained by Jason's theatrical recounting of his heroic fight against sentient pieces of fabric. And if the cape seems to shudder happily when Alfred pats it down and praises it for trying to keep their little bird safe, well...

That's between the two of them and whatever magic might or might not be hanging around them.

New England Gothic: summer edition

Over the summer some people will go to their lake houses. You will not be able to contact them until late August. They will come back changed.

"did you see the baseball game?" "Yes." You lie. You didn't see the baseball game. Neither did they. No one has. The game happens, but no one watches, they don't want you to watch the game.

There are never life guards. The chairs sit empty. There once were life guards no one knows what happened to them. Some say the sea claimed them. Others speak of sirens. But no one knows for sure.

You can hear the ice cream truck in the distance. It's always just in the distance. You can try and follow the song but it will always remain in the distance.

Around 4th of July pop up stores will appear near the Massachusetts border. They aren't allowed to have fire works, because they might awaken it, but people are always tempted by the things they are forbidden to have. The fireworks cover their screams.

Theirs a reason nothing is done about the sharks on the Cape. The sharks keep us safe from what lies just beyond. Besides it's better to lose an arm or a leg than an entire town.

If someone tells you they live on Martha's vineyard Don't talk to them again. No one lives on Martha's vineyard. People visit. But no one lives on Martha's vineyard.

Just finished a binge watch of this 2011 short lived series. I watched it when it first aired, at least the first few episodes before NBC started preempting and juggling it around.

While the premier and first couple episodes aren’t the strongest, it turns into a really engaging series with good characters and some downright freaky and creepy villains!

Created before it’s time. This was better than much of what I saw on the CW this past decade.

Another show before its time and cut down before its prime.
