Headcanon that the gaangs kids learn about Zuko’s misguided quest to capture the avatar and subsequently make a game out of it.

Bumi steals an air nomad necklace from his dad and whoever wears it becomes the “avatar” for the duration of the game. The “avatar” is given 100 seconds to hide.

When they “capture the avatar” the winner must shout “I have restored my honor!”

Zuko is mortified, everyone else thinks it’s endlessly hilarious.

A Prisoner Situation with a colonel who has some basic decency and compassion. Zuko’s trust lvl is -3 so it’s going great.

Katara unlocks Zuko's tragic backstory, finally gives him the hug he needs, and the rest is history.

Modern atla au where both Toph and Zuko are rich kids who meet the rest of the gaang while backpacking across Europe. Toph is also running away from the people her parents hired to escort her on her trip. Zuko was also originally traveling with Azula but she thought it’d be funny to steal his wallet and phone and abandon him while he was asleep on a train in a country whose language he doesn’t know

I don’t know how the rest of the gaang factor into this. Maybe Aang convinced Sokka and Katara that it’d be fun to follow his favorite band around on tour. Sokka hates the band but he met Suki, who is also following the band on tour, at the first stop and then decided that Aang and Katara needed his protection and common sense.

Okay Today's most memorable ATLA episode (of season 2) for me is definitely the library episode!

The whole episode shifted the mood of the entire season imo. I also loved Wan Shi Tong, his whole vibes is super eerie. It also gave me a whole new perspective on war, the way he said "You think you are the first human to say their war is justified?" It was super eerie to see a non human saying that because it gives you a perspective on the outsider's POV of human war. Also, this episode is where the preparation to invade the fire nation actually begins since the previous episodes where just aang trying to master the elements before the solstice.

Also, the moment the library was mentioned, I knew it was the same library that Zhao broke in to study about the moon spirits.

Now the team actually have a plan. The solar eclipse making the fire nation weak makes so much sense I feel hella dumb for not realizing this sooner lol

I kinda wanted Katara to have a flashback of Zuko saying "You rise with the moon, I rise with the sun" because that's literally the first thing I was reminded of as soon as sokka figured it out tbh, it would've been nice cinematography aswell yknow. Because his line basically foreshadowed this revelation.

Aang is blasian since the inspo for his design was(The son of a black man on the crew with a chinese wife).He still shaves his head since he's a buddhist but in season 3 when his hair grew out he had baby dreads and he's full Air Nomad,just half of their black etchnic subgroup

Zuko calls Aang 'Mittens'.No reasoning,it just feels right

They all share a bed very often as non-sexual intimacy

And steal food off eachother's plates

Zuko and Nia are like.PAINFULLY obvious and unfiltered with how in love they are from the getgo but the Gaang dosen't try to get them together or constantly shove it in their face since they know they needed to go at their own pace

Sokka has an infamous reputation for causing problems on purpose within the Fire Nation but unlike Katara,it's him being goofy asf instead of an eco-terrorist menace

Katara's actually well-versed on Water Tribe slang and it's history because she read up on it a lot

The Freedom Fighters thought Jet was actually dead and he didn't have a way to get back to them but they made a grand reantrance in Sozin's Comet Part 4 and they had a heartwarming reunion

Aang wears tibetan makeup <333

Nia is Otome Kei style wise and never straightens his hair and instead wears it in black styles!!

Kataang's a lot more middle school romanceish than in canon but specifically their dating dynamic because it felt a bit too mature in the comics?No hate to it but i think this is funner!

This urge to draw her probally came from the new atla live action. Idk if it's going to be good becuse my expectations are lowering with every new information we get. And i hate the whole art direction of the series. And don't even get me started on the costumes.

But putting that aside, ever since i watched atla 2 years ago, i couldn't wait to draw all the characters in digital medium ( : And here I am, finnaly doing so.

The patterns, tattos and jewerly are inspired by inuit coulture ( i know its not really accurate).

A fic where Zuko straight up just levels with Aang at the SWT and is like “here’s the deal” and Aang being the naive fresh-out-the-iceberg boy he is is like “okay!!! I’ll come with you to make your dad happy!!! And I can see some of my Fire Nation friends!”

And Zuko is like “wtf is this kid actually talking about but okay whatever a win is a win” And Sokka and Katara are like WTFDOweDoThisIsABadIdeaButWeAlsoDontReallyKnowThisKidYet

And eventually they decide to follow him but not to “recapture” Aang (bc he’s not really a prisoner but to be there when his good intentions inevitably go haywire or when Zuko reveals an ulterior motive (he doesn’t have one, but they don’t know that)
