I've seen people say you can't compare the QSMP to the DSMP because they're both completely different servers with different starts.

The thing is you can compare them. Not the stories told themselves because of course they're going to be different as they're 2 servers with different starts with 2 nearly completely different sets of people.

You can compare the treatment of the creators by the fandom, players (other cc on the server) and admins though.

Foolish for example. He made SO many amazing high quality builds to use and be shown to people. Ranboo and Tubbo had him build a giant mansion for them to live in! Yet it was entered maybe once after being finished. Foolish was able to use his builds for his own lore maybe once. Only a few people like Bad really acknowledged them by messing around in the area of them or adding something easy to get rid of to them as jokes.

Bad's treatment on the DSMP was frustrating to watch. He was the butt of the joke every time he was around. People would constantly swear on his streams because it was so funny for them! They constantly destroyed his and Skeppy's house and griefed the front of it. No one other than his friends really listened to him about things. And the egg arc was supposed to be something that was a massive danger to the server! But how does the server and fandom not directly involved treat it? Like a joke. Bad and his friends clearly worked really hard on this arc to include more than just the 'main characters' and their small circle, yet it was brushed off as if nothing by the players and fandom, treated like it was stupid.

Quackity's lore just kinda- happened. There isn't much I can say as I don't remember a lot of it tbh which isn't a great sign.

Philza and Wilbur probably got the better end of the stick for lore due to being connected to the main lorr, but it still wasn't great for them either.

A lot of CCs not on the QSMP have mentioned how the communication for the server was terrible too. At the start of lore on the DSMP, it made sense as they were purely doing improve so there wasn't really anyone to run things through. But the fact the issue was bad the entire time made the CCs on the server feel ignored and not want to play on it.

It was rare for people to interact with others outside their already established circles unless they're friends outside the server.

Now with the QSMP

Foolish has built multiple things on the server and has been acknowledged by everyone at this point. Bad might mess with them a lot still and encourage others to join him but you can tell the respect people still have for each one. Vagetta wants a version of the statue Foolish built him on other servers. People and fandom admire his builds and always make sure that if there's any damage to it, it's easily undone. Cellbit has made the castle Foolish built him his home the moment it was finished, he's been using it since. He paid him fully and made sure he was fully supplied and had company while building, staying on for hours to talk to him as he built.

Bad is respected by everyone on the server. He's taken seriously by everyone. Everyone trusts him with their kid's lives. Phil asks Bad to babysit Tallulah and Chayanne if he can't. The french trust Bad more than anyone outside their language group. Forever trusts Bad the most on the server other than Baghera. If someone needs something they'll go to him. All the eggs love him and so does the fandom. He's part of the joke instead of the butt of it. He can laugh along with the jokes made, even ones directed at him. When people swear on his streams and he languages them, they immediately apologize and switch to one of Bad's replacements (fudge being the main one) and no one makes fun of it either! They don't start swearing relentlessly at him to annoy him.

Even though Quackity doesn't show up often, when he does people are happy to interact with him and update him on what's happened if he wants it.

People can be off the server for weeks without being isolated because they're not keeping up with major lore, especially as people are happy to update anyone on anything they want to know. Hell people can be on a lot without being involved in lore but still be included as much as anyone else! As soon as there's a threat to the eggs or a new way to protect them, it spreads to everyone like wildfire and everyone's taken it on within a week.

The new arrivals are always welcomed by the islanders already there. They support them and treat with the same respect they do with everyone else. They merge with everyone else nearly immediately and become part of the community without hesitation.

The communication with the admins is clearly amazing too. Philza has pointed out how appreciated he feels compared to other servers. When an egg dies unfairly they're quick to get back to them within hours. If there's a general issues they're quick to get back to them and fix things. People are allowed to have their own stories alongside the main one. Events are planned and discussed so everyones aware before it happens. Anyone who wants to take part is welcome to if it's a big thing due to how open they usually are (rescuing Cellbit and Felps, travelling to Bobby's death site, etc). Thinfs are adapted and changed when needed and all CCs are in the loop.

Being able to watch the QSMP and not feel like any POV I watch is being mistreated or ignored is great. I couldn't watch anything but lore streams with the DSMP because Bad was my main POV and it made me so uncomfortable to watch him being made fun of constantly and be treated as a joke.

The QSMP feels like a community of people, instead of factions trying to go against each other. DSMP was my first and only smp experience and while it was great at first, it quickly soured. The QSMP treats it's CCs and fandom as if they genuinely matter, making sure everyone is welcomed and no one is isolated.

OSRS is by far the best mmo as far as I'm concerned. You can do literally anything in it. It's so simple. Its just a little medieval fantasy point and click RNG simulator. But that simplicity is what makes it so addicting.

You can literally just do whatever the fuck you want on it. The game doesnt hold your hand at all, and while I can see how that would be overwhelming for new folks getting into the game, its an aspect that keeps me coming back.

It's kind of a single player mmo. Like sure there's content to do with other folks, and it can be social at times, but like your account is yours. Everything takes such a long fucking time in that game, especially if you're playing as any type of Ironman account, that the game feels more personal.

Like I don't play nearly as much as some folks that I know and I still have nearly 5000 hours of in game time on a single account and its not even in the late game yet.

Like sure these stats are pretty decent for an iron, but I haven't even started going most of the end game content like Raids, CG, Nightmare, ect.

No only that but I legitimately that the osrs content creators are some of the absolute best gaming content on Youtube. By far. It is insane what some of these people do with the game, all because of how much of a sandbox it is.

Even if you know nothing about osrs or Runescape in general, I would HIGHLY recommend checking our SoupRS on Youtube and watch his Gielinor Games series. All of them. Start with the first season, and watch them all if you like it. Its like a survivor style game with challenges, voting, bannings, and testimonies, all through the lens of osrs.

Settled is one of the funniest motherfuckers on Youtube and has multiple videos about region locked accounts that are still easy to understand for folks who have never played the game.

Jeporite has a NorthernUIM series that leaves me in hysterics every video.

J1mmy is one of those content creators that turns everything he touches into something good. I cannot praise all of his videos enough, including the ones he makes that arent related to osrs. However, his osrs F2P series is one of my favorites.

Hannanie is a trans woman content creator that just makes some of the most off the wall insane videos I've ever seen. Seriously, she made a fucking 21 part series about cutting fucking trees in this game and managed to make every installment a banger. Hannanie is a treasure and everyone should know her content.

Imo the only gaming content on YT that comes even close to osrs is probably Minecraft, but that is mostly because you can do so much modding that the content stays fresh.

Plus with the RuneLite client, you can make your in game interaction as customizable as you want. My whole client is fucking Miku themed lmao. The community has made so many amazing plug ins for this game including a full HD client with dynamic lighting effects, increased GPU distance rendering, ect.

OSRS is a great fucking game and you should definitely be playing it. I will take full responsibility for the thousands of hours that you lose to it. I could go on but this post is already a lot longer than I was expecting it to be.

As an aside: Ironman does something to you. Why do I have 117k Light Orbs in my bank? Idfk might need em. 20k gold tiaras? Just in case. 10k snake skin? You never know when something might pop up. Hoard Everything.

🐐Death Before Inaction is literally one of the best Peter Parker fics I've ever read, if you want skewed dynamics, no slash, an OP Peter, and really good story telling this is for you.

The Anomaly is an amazing Into the Spiderverse fic that really goes into Miles character and how giving up; doing everything in your power to prevent something and then it happens anyways, can destroy you and change your perspective. And on the other side how choices can make you regret them.

Bound by a Promise to the Moon is an Avengers work that is focused on characters and relationships between people who have drifted apart. It is IronStrange but nothing in your face for the most part 💀 you can skip those parts if you don't like it😁. It really is worth the read though.

Crossovers

Gaming Spider is a MCU fic that is Peter-centric but be warned because they dropped 8 chapters on the same day in 2022 and haven't updated since. It's so entertaining because Peter just has the Gamer Power (basically Litrpg elements) and grows increasingly stronger after every encounter, and the plot makes sense and isn't only based on the system.

All of the heroes and all of the men, couldn’t save Tommy from getting kidnapped again is such a bias rec on my part, I like crossovers that are done correctly and I was a mcyt and dsmp follower (not really watcher, I can't commit to anything) and this is a story changed by the characters, where the original plot is nothing but a memory to help character development. God I love character development.

BNHA

🐐Parallax is a BNHA fic that is SI and I KNOW BUT HERE ME OUT is basically like if Todoroki was haunted by a physics loving astronomer that made him feel more like someone else, but still kept a lot of what makes him, him. It's so good, like touched me so deeply that I have a hard time explaining it.

A Study In Deceit is a BNHA fic (I know) that is SO FUNNY, basically Bakugou is BBC's Sherlock, but has hid it for all his life, he does cases on the side and turns them in anonymously to the police. It's really good if you're looking for Todoroki and Bakugou friendship.

Foresight now this, this is crack. Want a BNHA fic that speeds through the story in ways that are so funny? Want someone doing something without a clue why? READ THIS. If you know the plot of BNHA it's sometimes easy to guess why he's doing what he's doing but the reactions of other characters is sooo good.

RONIN, ronin, ronin, ronin. This thing is the best ever, BNHA, op Midoriya but now you might be scrolling past, but... It's SO GOOD, BOHB_STEVENS IS A GENIUS this fic was made to practice fighting and ohhhhh did they get plently of practice. If you like fighting scenes that are descriptive, easy to understand, and EXHILARATING read this.

Magneto is an amazingly different BNHA SI fic, where really the story stays the same but I'm a simple person and slice of life interactions can be just as fun as fighting and complicated story telling (the storytelling is good btw) . I think I you want a little angst mixed with mostly good times and crack you should read this.

Pinwheel Eyes is a BNHA if Midoriya had a quirk. But once again the story is original they aren't afraid to make unpopular decisions to keep realism, and he has to win to keep people alive, not just have plot armor. I think if you want amazing fights and to be surprised over and over with how good this is you should read it

Crossovers

Be Careful What You Ask Your God is a BNHA and Chainsaw Man crossover where once again (I know I said it wasn't the norm) the characters are the story, here they took a different approach and didn't even focus on the main characters of BNHA and just how the mc's of chainsaw man would live in that world, but the LORE (matpat😭) is interesting.

Harry Potter

Porcupine Quills & Potion Spills A Harry Potter (Snape-centric) work. This fic is pretty good, but it's not TOP top tier. The reason it's here is because I've been looking for another fic that has this same idea but none have done it this certain way and I really like the idea. Now it is on Hiatus but its only been a few months, so they'll probably be back (man I hope so).

Crossovers

A Wand for Skitter is a Harry Potter and Worm crossover (if you haven't read worm and appreciate modern sci-fi/eldritch original works you should read it) but the characters are amazing, nothing seems cheap and the ending, THE ENDING it was so good.

Stranger Things

I really didn't mean to hurt anyone is a Stranger Things story that had Steve as Seven. The choices with the way the story is going makes sense and again the characters are so well written. His powers are original and make the story even better and even gets him into some unsavory situations.

The Saga of Tanya the Evil

The Chronicles of Tanya the Fuehrer is another Tanya fic where it's after the war ends, the beginning is amazing, she does get a bit ooc in some parts but other than that the story itself is so entertaining and how they describe things and paint a picture is so beautiful.

Crossovers

A Young Girl's Guerrilla War is a Code Geass and The Saga of Tanya the Evil crossover. It's if Tanya died and was reincarnated again into code geass (another war so on brand) it's something special because it feels like an AU, which so many crossovers can't accomplish, they just follow the plot of the story with new characters without changing the world based on their characters actions. This story is Amazing and something that should become a norm within the trope.

Blue Lock

A Child's Dream is a Blue Lock fic that is the only reasonabley lengthed fic that isn't slash that I have found. Theres a lot of simping for Isagi but that's normal enough. The development is interesting and keeps you engaged and the interactions are funny and so out of left pocket most of the time.

Déjà Vu is a Blue Lock fic that is probably abandoned, but the idea and execution make up for it, it's also short so don't worry about slogging through 100,000 words then figuring out it's abandoned. It's kind of crack-like but more serious than you would expect.

Miraculous Ladybug

It’s not a stupid question! I’m happy to explain.

The first one is Geralt (witcher) x Jaskier (younger man who is a bard), and most fan-content of them portrays Jaskier the way the Netflix series portrays him. He is an adult, but most people tend to ignore the age gap because fantasy world (Geralt is close to 80 when he meets Jaskier in the show, but doesn’t look it). Plus, henry cavill and joey batey (actors) are close to the same age, so people tend not to think about it.

Jaskier is based off of Dandelion from the original witcher books. In the books, we don’t get to see how Geralt and Dandelion meet, because Dandelion is almost 40 and has reunited with Geralt for the duration of the books.

Another character in the books, that Geralt meets later on, is Regis (the old man). They get along very well, and Regis ends up traveling with Geralt, Dandelion, and a few other people in a group called the hansa. The way they interact is often flirty and sometimes homoerotic. Eventually it’s revealed that Regis is a higher vampire (very powerful and potentially very dangerous), and he and Geralt have a bit of a falling out, but that only lasts about 15 pages or so before he’s back with them.

Regis appears again in the Blood and Wine DLC of the third witcher game (the one I’ve played), where he and Geralt reunite as old friends before advancing the plot together. Regis is not in the Netflix series as of now.

Another character in the games that I’ve been posting about is Vernon Roche (but I wasn’t sure if you were referencing him at all). He’s a major character in the second game and comes back in the third. He’s the commander of the Blue Stripes, a Temerian (country) special forces unit designed to combat the Scoia’tael (a group of elven bandits from the books; they appear in both the second and third games, but much more heavily in the second). I’m not actually sure how old he is, but he’s more middle-aged than Jaskier or Regis.

As for the reasons I ship all of these different couples, it just comes down to a few things:

- I watched the Netflix series first, and therefore started off my witcher hyperfixation and subsequent reblog spree with Geralt x Jaskier. Later on, I learned about the book series, and fell in love with Regis, which led to the beginning of my Geralt x Regis reblog spree, continued vitally by me playing the witcher 3 and loving him even more. Then I made a super awesome friend who shared their love of Geralt x Roche.

- All of these characters, in my opinion, can make Geralt feel safer, happier, and more comfortable with emotional vulnerability. (This is also why I don’t enjoy the ships with the sorceresses, but that’s another post). I enjoy all of these ships because Geralt is an amazing, dynamic character whose relationships with others provide lots of space for good feelings and creative expression.

- I don’t stop shipping any of them when I have a burst of love for one of the ships in particular.

As for who you should ship, I can’t make that decision for you! I’d recommend engaging with at least one witcher series, be it Netflix, books, or the games (or the 2002 Polish Hexer series, which is low budget but made with so much love) and then deciding whose dynamic makes you the happiest! Fandom should be fun, shipping should be fun, so my advice is to just have fun.

I love that Henry, despite all he's been through, remains, at heart, a very compassionate person.

Abe, I love that he remains such a young man in his mind. Still behaving like a teenager with Maureen, or not afraid to try skateboard.

I don't think I like Adam very much, though I guess I did feel sympathy for him when he said he wouldn't do any harm to Abe because they were both survivors of the camps.

Not as much about what people understand or not, but I'd love to explore what it must feel for Henry to witness the world change the way it had in the past 200 years. Those have been pretty extraodinary years to live through (good or bad).

And I wonder what kind of lives Adam lived through those 2000 years...

I think Henry had children before - at least one child - and having to face their mortality, having to live with it with no escape for him, broke his heart and that is why he originally didn't want a kid of his own with Abigail.

Adopting Abe is different (though they've lived together as a family for so long now that Abe's death will break his heart and he knows it and he fears it). But still, adoption is different. Adoption he can do. It's just providing a good life for a lost kid that was already there.

Abe let his dad move back in because in his old age (Abe) he feels like he's become a father to Henry sometimes. Henry needs a sort of father figure, in the sense of someone to rely on, someone to take care of him when he's down. And Abe is that figure for him.

Adam? Hmm, I don't know. Nothing special beyond the fact that I took the pugio thing as him trying to save Caesar, like most people. And with this amazing trend of two, I assumed that immortality is linked to dying while trying to save a life (which also implies Adam used to be a good guy)

I really like the Henry-Hanson dynamic, but with a single season we haven't seen a lot of it. But I do enjoy how Hanson seemed to take Henry's deduction talent as a challenge. He goes from annoyed at that weird English guy to "Henry figured it out, did he?" to "yeah, I figured it too, genius."

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character

Abe found out his dad's weird condition by accident, at a relatively young age. Like maybe 7 or 8. And he just accepted it (as kids do at that age). So it's just been a normal thing to him all his life. He tried bragging about it a couple times at school (despite his parents repeatedly telling him to keep it a secret) but no one believed him, and he was mocked for it. Plus, when he got a little older, he saw how anxious Henry was about keeping it a secret, so he understood it wasn't the kind of secret he should betray.

The less Adam interacts with others, the better LOL

Fandom wise, I'm not sure. I haven't consumed any new media recently except Vol 3. So I guess MCU? (If you don't count my Wandavision and X-Men crossover fic)

As for character, I haven't written anything for my newest OC, Eliška Hasek, and I'm itching to get started on that. Oh, also another OC, Tessa Hayes (Lee Quinn's birth mother) there are things in place I should do first before I start on these projects.

Probably majority of my fics from 2019 or 2020. And the first Kaia fics probably need a revamp.

For Similarities, I enjoy being able to write about Henry and El in a more domestic setting since escaping the lab and writing about their bond growing. Though funny enough I am looking forward to writing more of the future plot and angst with Beatrice.

King and Lionheart, I feel like it's still in its early stages but despite that has shown a lot of potential or progress if that makes sense? I also enjoy writing about Dream having to interact with a character so different than him (Lee) and having them learn to get along and their dynamic.

The Ariel ship! Ok, where do I start? I guess honestly it's a little fun to drag out the fics and have my readers waiting excitedly for when the big confession happens. I'm sorry I like to torture my audience 😈 but also Arith and Iriel banter is so fun and rewarding to write. I feel like they've come a long way. And you know what I still plan on writing stuff for them even after y'know 💀 because people read essentially prequel stuff all the time.

One line from any fic.... oh this is tough. Why do I feel like all my best stuff isn't published yet lol.

Ok so more than a single line (oops) but from King and Lionheart.

I think it just sums up Lee's character so well. She's bold, stubborn, and dedicated.

Favorite trait to give a character? Physically wise I think I either have to say freckles or piercings. Personality wise... I guess unique? Now hold on let me explain, I don't like to write about characters who fit a mold or something like that. That's boring. There has to be a little bit of going against the norm. Not fitting in but rather standing out as an individual.

I really hope that wasn't confusing or too much of a basic answer.

As for the last question, I think I tend to have a dry sense of humor and I like writing characters with a similar sense of humor.

Hm. Well. I don't really feel like it's 'right' to choose a OTP from the things I write with other people, because those moments where we do get to a ship, I usually loooooove it a lot and there's no way I can choose a favourite of those.

I think I can name Wildfire with @aerokinesiiss Hay Lin, though, because I do find myself kinda defaulting to it being a thing - they are very adorable together and it was so amazing to write their first meeting and then all the other things we did; I love them a lot! -- I do have one or two other (potential) ships going on on Wildfire too and those are great too! I'm not sure. Like, taken in account other, like, species or whatever, that would age in a different way of time or something? Plus how, for example, the ages I list on my muse-pages are a rough estimate of some point during the main happenings or something, I feel it's difficult to really put a number to this. (Another thing, I usually just kinda 'assume' our muses are of a close-ish age when interacting with other 'young heroes' for example, as long as we haven't actually discussed like that someone is of a later generation than the other or something)

I honestly rarely pay age that much mind, I think I'm different from most people in how much I care (or, not, in this case) about the number. I kinda more go with a rough feeling of, idk, area of age or something? Like, very rough examples would be 'child', 'teen', 'young adult', 'adult' and 'older' - probably not actually the lines I'd define but, just to try to explain how I think about ages.

It... needs to feel like they are similar-ish in age is all, I think? I don't know.

Uh... I have no idea - again. I would say probably when things are about to get undressed, but then again, I think I've had things there before that were still okay. Depends I guess - let's just say if we do something into that direction, I'll let you know when I can't keep going any further (aka that we then fade or like, if you want, you can write out the scene for both characters or something).

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING? For what concerns romantic shipping?

It's probably obvious that the muses need to mesh well together? It needs to feel right, which, again, is a very vague thing to say, I know. If you come to ask me about shipping with muses that haven't interacted so far, the answer is probably at max a 'yeah we can try', because I can absolutely not predict before interactions. When we did have some interactions with the muses, I think I usually am able to answer.

So... somewhat selective, I guess? Idk.

WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH?

I hope you don't mind me asking for some writing advice, like lots when making fics in the Tolkien fandom. You see, I have tried writing fics of ideas that came to my mind. And every fic I've written becomes unfinished because I feel like halfway through, it starts becoming soulless, like in a way that it looks out of character for the character to say this or that, like I may have gotten the characterization wrong or the context is a bit too weird and distasteful and this discourages me that I never tried uploading it on ao3 because um Idk I think they won't like it so um. How do you do it? I've read your fics repeatedly and I am always in awe because they are amazing af. I wish I could write like you.

That is so kind of you to say about my works anon! 🥺 Would it help at all if I told you I've had the same concern about my writing? In most cases, no one's harder on your work than you.

One of the things that's nice about the Tolkien fandom is that while fanon may have strong ideas about a character's personality, canon (in Silm) has relatively little to say about everyone's personality. So it's really hard to "get it wrong" as long as you don't mind potentially going against fanon ideas (And you should never be afraid to challenge or discard fanon! You might be surprised by how many people find your take refreshingly new!)

I would definitely encourage you to go ahead and finish the fic and then take another look at it when it's totally done. Sometimes you may get these doubts part way through just because you're sort of committed now and it feels a little daunting to commit to finishing the rest of the fic if you're worried it won't be good. But I think having a finished product to evaluate would help you take a more accurate look at your work. Most of us go through fluctuations of "this is great/this sucks/this is alright/this is the greatest thing I've ever written/I'm never publishing this ever" so that's normal.

I would also say, when you're reading other people's fic, really consider what it is you enjoy about their characterizations. If there's something there that really strikes you as true to the character, or just an interesting dynamic, don't be afraid to let that influence how you write a given character/ship/scenario!

When I started writing Tolkien fic, I felt a little lost because there's so little canon information on personalities. I was accustomed to fandoms with a lot more defined characters. So one of the things I do is before engaging in-depth with a new Tolkien character, I try to write out at least 5 traits that I would say define that character, in my mind. This gives you a little manual to return to if you start wondering "Would she react this way? Would he say that? How would they interpret this?" And you can expand and grow more detailed from there as necessary.

As for context--I would say there's nothing too weird for a fanfic audience. You will always find someone who's into this idea! And even if you're really just writing it for you--that shouldn't stop you!

I think it also helps to have fandom friends. Interacting with others on AO3, on tumblr, on Discord, can lead to some great friendships and having a circle of people to share your work with can be a lot of fun. It can help with inspiration, motivation, and all that kind of stuff (with the caveat that you'll need to provide this for other members of the group). If you can count on at least one or two people to have an interest in your work, you might feel more comfortable posting and more motivated to finish it!

Generally speaking, the worst that comes of posting on AO3 is that your work gets no interaction. Sure, there are instances of flames or whatever, but generally consequences tap out at "0 comments." Which is definitely disappointing, but also--you haven't lost anything. And you got the benefit of completing a work! Maybe this one didn't get attention, but each work you create helps you get better.

As someone who's been writing fanfic for a long time (15 years or so!), let my most emphatic advice be this: write what you enjoy. Write what's fun for you. Fanfic is a hobby, and above all, your creations should be geared towards you. If other people like them too, awesome! That's always a good feeling. If they don't--that's alright, you do, and that's what really matters. It should be fun to go back and reread your own work, because it's something you wrote for yourself! And if you write what's fun for you, it will be easier to keep yourself coming back to it, and practice makes perfect. If you put too much pressure on yourself to write the perfect piece, writing will just be too stressful and unpleasant for you to want to keep doing it!

I hope this helps, and I hope you do go ahead and post to AO3 someday, when you feel comfortable doing it. Don't let your doubts tell you you have nothing to add to the fandom!

NCT Dream 230328 London Fan Account

-OH my god I love kpop concerts so much

-I went with a friend. We were seated so we didn't bother going before doors. She had made some cute home made photocards for freebies and we gave them out outside. It was so fun we wished we'd brought more. We also picked up some of the puzzle piece banners that were being given out

-The venue could NOT have been slower at getting everyone seated but oh well. We were in the accessible area and had such a good view of the stage it was wild. The chunk of stage that was built out into the audience was right in front of us and we could see everyone's faces super clearly

-I was in a minority of folk with an old lightstick so mine was green the whole night through lol. Nctzens are extremely unserious people and the number of silly fan signs people brought were so fun. Chenle has succeeded in making all his fans Stephen Curry's fans too. In general people were wearing lots of lime green and white with frog accessories and the vibe was just everyone there for a good time

-Before the concert even started people were shrieking at the VRs and MVs being played on the big screens

-OH my god I love kpop oceans

-We had been chatting with some of the people in our row about who our Dream biases were I was musing on whether or not Mark was my Dream bias bc he's objectively the member of Dream that I like the most but idk if I like him most within the Dream dynamic? If that makes sense? Anyway this was stupid as soon as Mark stepped onstage my jaw was on the floor. He had a variation of the messy blonde braided hairstyle he was rocking towards the end of the 127 tour but with additional blonde and pink extensions. He also had blue contacts. He looked amazing.

-First song was Glitch Mode (I am absolutely not gonna recount the whole set list in order rip). The hits started coming and they simply did not stop coming. Just tune after tune after tune.

-Dreaming is so good and I really really hope they get more discography in that kidlnd of style. Also the choreois clean as hell

-Just to say that Mark was outstandingly beautiful but everyone looked good and I will be fighting Lee Jeno in a parking lot at his first available opportunity

-Wen the mics were on they were ON but Renjun must have insulted the sound engineer's mother or smth because his mics were not calibrated properly the entire night. But yeah the rumours are true NCT singers are men who can sing

-NCT dancers are also men who can dance. Jeno and Jisung and Mark specifically

-They did their first chat with the crowd on the platform but Chenle got bored half way through and wandered off to go wave at fans lol. Haechan started his ment by sternly making us all be quiet

-Our section did NOT spend much time sitting down I should say we were on our feet dancing most of the night

-I knew Jeno's slutty backless shirt plus choker look was coming but it still did not really prepare me

-A fan group had given out lots of banners saying '7dream is our missing puzzle piece' and everyone managed to hide them until they played Puzzle Piece when we whipped them put all at once. It was a cute moment

-I have seen My First and Last live I can die happy. If you are reading this post for some reason and haven't watched the dance practice for this song pls go fix that ASAP

-There was a moment during Quiet Down (which is insane crazy CRAZY like what on earth was going on in the room when they came up with the idea to have half the group in boxes and the other half interacting with the through the glass? Super creative and looks really clean, the Jeno and Haechan pair up specifically) when Mark looked down into a camera and idk it was just... His energy man I would do anything he asked of me

-Better Than Gold was completely electric I had no idea that song had it in it. The shift from Quiet Down to Better Than Gold is really abrupt but the whole venue was shaking ass three seconds into BTG so it clearly worked. They did a 70s inspired line dance thing with prop mics before heading out onto the platform Probs my fav individual song of the night. There was a family sat just underneath us and this was the point when the parents started dancing and did not stop for the rest of the gig - pretty sure they had more fun that their kids who they had ostensibly brought out to see the boy band that night lol?

-At some point I grabbed some confetti that had been fired from a canon and draped it around myself

-Trigger the Fever is SO high energy I do not know how they manage to pull that off on the regular and come back for more tunes

-I lost my shit for Hello Future. It's simply the best NCT Dream song and I will not be taking notes

-Walk You Home my beloved <3

-People started throwing lots of plushies onto the stage towards the end of the show and before the encore and the security team were very obliging in making sure any that fell short of their mark made their way to the stage. While doing Walk You Home the group picked up some of this stuff. A watermelon bag for Mark was a highlight

-Rainbow played during the last big stage hiatus (for the group to change and presumably chug lots of water) and the cameras showed lots of fans and fan signs from around the room it was super cute

-Everyone's final mentions were fun! Everyone tried to speak English but there was a translator on hand. Jaemin is so grandma coded, he was telling us to remember to eat three meals a day. Jisung was super alarmed by us stamping our feet to make a sound like thunder and Mark tried on being British by saying 'blimey'

-Candy was the encore which I wasn't sure about but it's so high energy and fun it was a good send off

-No Dear Dream or Go (boo!) but otherwise the set list was really tight. All told the concert lasted 2 hrs 45 mins so like.. The tickets weren't cheap but we got a LOT of bang for our buck. I danced so much and the energy in the room was so good and I just had a great time.

Hi Liz! Thanks for asking!💕

I know how difficult writing smut can be, especially when you're brand new to it or haven't actually experienced what you're trying to describe. Like a lot of people, I've been reading and writing smut since before I was probably supposed to, so here is my advice:

RESEARCH. It's incredibly important to educate yourself about the types of sex and the dynamics you want to write about. Don't be fooled by thinking something vanilla is easier to write than bdsm. Both require research because you're not just describing the physical acts. You're describing what the characters feel while performing those actions. This is so important because you must be aware of different relationship dynamics between characters for all sexual interactions.

Read other writers' smut and get a feel for the different voice, styles, and types of scenes you want to write. Obviously don't outright copy someone else's work, but it's really the only way to familiarize yourself with the lingo you're going to need to write your own. Don't think that the stuff with the biggest following is necessarily the best, though. I've read so many amazing scenes that have barely any following, and other scenes that were awful that have a huge following. You'll likely pretty quickly get a feel for the flow of the well-written stuff.

If you're comfortable with it. Watch some p*rn. I know this isn't for everyone, and it can be really unrealistic a lot of the time, but it can be helpful if you find yourself lacking inspiration.

First, second, and third (or however many you need) drafts are a must. Your first drafts are going to suck and that's ok. They are essential for you to build off of. You're going to find yourself writing bits you like and bits you don't, but get it all out on the page because you have to sort through it to find what works and what doesn't. Make note of your own spontaneous ideas, too. Like with all writing, you never know when you'll be inspired, so it's important to write it down when you are. You never know where it might lead.

Be descriptive about what is happening in the scene and when. It can be incredibly difficult to follow what's happening if you go from describing one position to describing a completely different position without saying the positions changed. Your reader will get lost and get frustrated. Sometimes I find that it's easier to draft a scene action by action and go back in and add flush out the emotion and dialogue later, but other times it's just the opposite where I will write the actions around the emotion, too. Just remember to describe what is happening and when.

Be mindful of word and phrase choice. You're going to find yourself using the same words over and over. Sometimes it's unavoidable because you're not comfortable with certain words. That being said, don’t think you have to find a dozen different words for “cock” or “cum” etc. It's important to try to change it up to avoid repetition and redundancy when possible. though. To help with this, make a reference list of words you do like when you read other smut. I have a miles-long list of words and phrases I’ve accumulated over the years that I always go back to whenever I can't immediately find the right ones to use.

Know your audience. While you should always write for yourself first, keep your intended audience in mind. Use warnings if your scenes describe stuff that some readers might not be comfortable with, but also use them to attract readers that are. I always recommend going through and using the warning tags that are easier to search for when posting on Ao3 first if you’re not sure what to warn for.

Ok so I’m the anon who was yelling at you about not needing KinnPorsche to become my new Special Interest and damn you! I’m hooked! I meant to come bug you after each episode but I binged all the available 8 episodes yesterday and couldn’t stop lol! So thank you, I hate you 😂

I have so many thoughts but can we please talk about Tankhun and Porsche. I kind of love their relationship. Tankhun was annoying to me in the very beginning but I actually really love his character now. I totally related to him watching the same series over and over again because it gave him comfort. I’d rather do that than go out most of the time because I’m autistic and very introverted so I fully understood why he did some of the odd things he did or seemed to overreact in situations like when his beloved fish were killed. I have a kinship with his character and imo he’s sometimes a much needed comedic relief.

I feel he’s mostly misunderstood and pretty much just tolerated by most of the family and bodyguards/staff, but I feel like there’s so much to him. He’s more complex than I think anyone around him fully understands. I loved that during Kinn and Porsche’s wilderness heart to heart, when even Kinn was saying that maybe Tankhun was faking his mental instability to avoid the responsibility of becoming the head of the major family (which I do think may be part of it but for good reason), Porsche defended him and by doing so exposed his own trauma. I love that he made himself vulnerable in order to defend Tankhun because I think he sees past a lot of Tankhun’s dramatics. Even as out there as he seems, Porsche understood him and was able to get him to try new things and leave the safe space that Tankhun tends to isolate himself in. I also love that, as much as Porsche kind of messes with him, most of what I see is him laughing WITH Tankhun rather than putting him in situations to laugh AT him. He messes with him to try and get him to smile, to enjoy life and find happiness.

I think it’s just another thing that shows how gentle and loving Porsche is underneath his cornball outer layer. Sometimes Porsche has moments where he kind of annoys me but what I like about him and his brother is that they’re loving, honest, gentle, and genuine people deep down and that’s exactly what endears people towards him. This is exactly why Kinn was so drawn to him even after their first interaction and why he fell in love with Porsche before he even allowed himself to admit he liked him. He was screwed from the start.

On the surface this show seemed kind of like a corny Mafia drama but it’s filled with complex characters and amazing acting. I love the main couple, as usual, but I rarely get invested in the side characters and it kind of left me speechless. It was a very pleasant surprise. I personally really like shows that make me question my morals and even though some of the situations could be easily identified as harmful, the way the characters expressed their experience after taking time to process things made it easier for me to forgive right along with them.

Ugh! This was long and probably a little all over the place but I’m still just too excited to get my thoughts coherent. I cannot wait for the next episodes to see where this ride takes us!

I love that you want to talk about Kuhn and Porsche! I haven't really done that yet and I honestly adore that dynamic. The funny thing is that when Tankuhn first appeared I was exactly like you... I basically figured I needed to be on acid to watch his scenes... and then somehow he just weasles his way into your heart and becomes this truly fabulous character?! (Though without even having done acid, I still feel certain it would only enhance 98% of his scenes 😂) I seriously love that you found kinship in him. And also... I never even connected the rewatching series thing to myself because that is so normal to me omg. I'm the exact same too. Serious anxiety (and yes introversion as well) means I do the same 🥺💞. The show actually does such a great job of incorporating in humour (and agreed, Kuhn definitely helps serve that role) without it feeling shoehorned in. It very much feels like a natural part of the landscape and it does beautifully balance out the rest.

And your analysis of Tankuhn's layers??? Holy shit I loved. I agree there is more there than we know just yet. It may play an important plot point or it may just come into things when we get more into the brothers' dynamics (I loved Kuhn’s scene with Kim and I truly can’t wait for a scene with all three brothers). But either way I can't wait to see it. I just loved so much how it was like the two of them vs the interlopers of Kinn and his friends. I loved the whole vibe and dynamic - like, ‘Oh so you wanna hang with us??? 😏’. And, I mean, they're both huge goofballs. So finding commonality in their partying was honestly brilliant.

I also loved the hospital scene between them in the side story too. Because Tankuhn is just being his silly, dramatic-ass self and messing with Porsche. But it just so happens that Porsche is obviously in no mood as he's terrified for Kinn and so he snaps. And I really love that moment of Pete basically being like 'Dude, this is your boss' 😂. Porsche really just never recognized the authority of Kuhn OR Kinn - they're just guys to him - and I love that a lot.

I completely agree re: Porsche's loving, kindness. He's so unguarded and open with the love and affection he gives (to those who warrant it that is... we've seen him withhold it *cough*Vegas*cough*). I love that about his character. When you're in that circle, you're really gifted with the full breadth of Porsche's affection and I think anybody faced with that is doomed to love his dumbass forever (rip Kinn). And Kinn absolutely recognized Porsche's kindness and gentler qualities despite the badass exterior and genuinely worried about the way this life could damage or change that (see: when Porsche shoots that guy the very first time and Kinn is stuck on staring at Porsche's shocked face in the aftermath and then worrying enough later that he actually goes to check on him). What I enjoy in the growth we've seen in Porsche is that even though he has changed and he's really coming into the role of mafia bodyguard, he also hasn't changed and he's still the same gentle, loving, affectionate goofball.

And yeah, I expected corny mafia drama and would have been fine with that. Most BL's lean heavily into the cheese so I was ok with that being the expectation, but this show really took me by surprise. I agree there is far more complexity than you'd initially think. Like the symbolism and art direction alone has left me pretty staggered. There is a lot to unpack and a show I can dig my teeth into like that is one of my favourite things. And as you say, there are some really great and fascinating side characters. And like you, that will really round out a show for me and take it to the next level.

you know what… i don’t know where he’d have acquired that scent, but i can really see it for some reason. maybe he also smells a little of old books— just imagine wrapping yourself up in his cloak and letting the faint scent of pinecones and book pages envelop your senses…

regarding collei, by the way things are looking, and if sumeru’s storyline is split between the rainforest and desert areas, there’s a possibility we might not see them interact… but at the same time, maybe collei’s the one who helps the traveler find cyno or something? then again, cyno did send that letter about collei to tighnari, so it’s possible that he’s still concerned about her or sort of overlooking her training, i guess?

either way, i do really hope to see them interact during the archon quests because it would seem like a waste— from a storytelling perspective as well— to tease them getting to know each other in the manga and then never showing them around each other again.

if collei was like a little sister to him, i can imagine their dynamic being so chaotic— like, cyno’s just trying to do his job and collei’s sneaking around behind him and pulling pranks on him all day, and he’s so tired of it… and then he tells her the most cringe-worthy puns that threaten to make her gag as revenge.

and yeah, i can’t wait to explore sumeru and do all the quest-y stuff, too; there’s a lot of potential in the storyline for bringing up some good moral dilemmas and stuff with this whole wisdom thing (e.g. theories of the storyline are saying that kusanali is purposefully misguiding her people to keep them safe from celestia, in which case we have the dilemma of is it better to be in danger knowing the truth of things or to stay safe and happy in one’s ignorance?)

and also seeing cyno, of course.

i'm not sure what to ask besides what do you think the nayuta + denji + power + aki dynamic would be like? my sister and i were discussing it the other day i think the nayuta + power interactions would be explosive given how needy both are. they definitely band together to dogplie people though there's no doubt about that. aki and denji would not survive it i think. ik some people aren't fans of "everyone lives and is happy" aus but idk love, peace, and, happiness on the planet earth i love em <3

but like fujimoto's works mean so much to me. his work has made me cry more than once. he puts so much thought into his characters and their behaviors. the payoff after all the buildup is amazing.

i bought chainsaw man 1-14 + the csm light novel + fujimoto's one shots in japanese the other day. cus i really want to learn japanese. buying jp manga to read will serve as a motivator. plus i got the complete could you die, my darling? and the tokyo bride story series. since both are favorites of mine. they haven't come in yet but i will be so happy when they do. also i think you can cross reference this with other asks i've sent since i'm kind of frequent in your inbox LOL. will probably fall asleep after sending this

anyways excellent question had to think about it a lot while getting through my post-camping haze. i think in some ways i have to mentally break it down in two camps: does nayuta + aki/denji/power take place in a scenario where shenanigans have taken makima out & brought nayuta in before makima's scheming were able to manifest, or a scenario where makima shows her hand and the plot more or less plays out except aki and power manage to eke out a survival?

this distinction would be most apparent for aki. if we're dealing with the former scenario, where aki can still 'love' makima, he's gonna grieve her, feel guilty about not being able to stop it because he just feels guilty about everything, so he's gonna be really protective of nayuta. a bit smothery. in the latter situation though, where makima's plans have come out and he's feeling shock and betrayal, and probably fear and anger and guilt over how power and denji were in danger? i think aki would be much less open to having her around, even cold and distant. not outright mean, but think how he was with denji and power turned up a notch. not like completely heartless about her, she's still sooooooo baby, but it'd be a rocky relationship. nayuta is gonna think he's annoying probably. but he makes good food. so he may live.

with denji, i think the most important factor to consider in comparison to what we're seeing from the denji+nayuta canon relationship, is that here denji isn't alone with her. while i still think denji and nayuta would still be the closest, but i feel like denji doesn't have to Single Dad it so soon after losing aki and power. like, in this reality has he been forced to confront the truth of his childhood? confront makima's manipulation of his feelings? while i don't see denji like, being less close to nayuta and wanting to take care of her, i do think there's some room where he's less compelled to make her #1 while aki and power are still in his life, or if he thinks that aki can help take care of her the way he takes care of everything.

this probably is of no surprise to anyone but the idea of a power + nayuta dynamic intrigues me the most. i think first and foremost that they would Not Get Along (At First, Shenanigans Can Still Happen). their brashness and pushiness are so similar that i think they'd just fuckin clash. ESPECIALLY over denji. they both want denji to pay attention to them and be their bestie and not hang out with the other. in particular, i think that power would delight in being Bigger and More Powerful (from her perspective) than the former makima, and try to pay back all those times makima intimidated her. this won't work out for her! but then something looney tunes slapstick will happen to denji and they will take a break from their rivalry to laugh at him and all will be well.

the other aspect of power+nayuta i kinda mull over is like - so we see power openly disobey makima, The Control Devil, in chapters 90/91. and i'm going to have to reread the series to recall whether power had disobeyed makima before, because i feel like i had the thought before those chapters came out but i can't remember. we do see power pathetically pushing back or whining when makima tells her to do something, only to be cowed when makima looks at her like :) but it's still different from the more servile or fawning way people influenced by makima. though maybe it's because power is a fiend rather than one of the humans that makima condescendingly dotes on. idk i just want power to be My Most Special Girl and have that 'it factor' that lets her resist makima's direct control or something. and nayuta recognizing this and being both threatened and intrigued by her. it's not a legit theory i have but i do think of it.

but eventually. EVENTUALLY. there will be love peace and happiness on the planet earth. fujimoto would never deny us that.

but yeah 110% agreed on fujimoto's works meaning a lot. csm, fire punch, his pre- and post-csm oneshots, pretty much everything has a spark that i straight up can't resist. i do get extra sentimental about look back and goodbye, eri just because they happened to come out after i was dealing with a loss and it was like, Man He Gets It. and he's a fan of psycho goreman dude has taste.

anyways. wishing you LOTS of luck in learning japanese. i will never be able to do so because i do not have a head for languages (my mom lost the form for doing french immersion and from that point i was doomed) and can only subsist on what my friends share, but there's a lot of value in learning any language. which sounds corny. but it's legit.

How does that work? A fiancé that is. Do like all of you date him, or just the one? I genuinely do not know how it works.

I was laughing over how I got a couple of asks about DID from the curious Moon Knight fandom and had to show him this and he wanted me to reply with a joking "I'm Mormon so I'm okay with having multiple wives (acceptable misgendering for the joke)" which he is not but- obligatory had to pass it on.

It really actually isn't that complicated in my opinion? Maybe I've just gotten really used to it and a lot of my peers that I talk to online also have DID or are partners with someone with DID, but its really just like having individual relationships with different people.

Some of our parts are dating him, some of our parts see him as a life partner / platonic partner, some of us have unclear relationships, some of us have fwb dynamics, and some of our child parts see him something like a big brother / dad of sorts. He pretty much gets to know each part and respects the parts as individuals and at this point into the relationship (6~ years) - and having been 4 years into active treatment for DID with him here - its almost like he is part of the system itself from our perspective.

Plus he has actually gotten amazingly well at identifying each part by simple facial expressions, ways the body is held, minor pitch changes, word choices, snickers, laughs, smiles, and he can pretty much decently accurately guess who is out from far away which is frustrating but really wholesome.

I was the main one that he started dating at first and then it was a blur of like, parts unofficially interacting / talking with him since we didn't know we had DID properly at the time, and then some other parts that formally knew him interacting and all that. Over the 6~ years each part has a unique dynamic with him and its pretty chill. Sometimes he helps facilitate communication between each of us or helps mediate conflict. Like one of my parts has been having a hard time with trauma, dysphoria, and depression to the point he hasn't really had the ability to have the energy to take out the guitar from the bag and set it up which is one of his larger which he commented to our fiance - and he later, when he heard I was out - he reminded / suggested that I should go set that up for him since I can.

He's great and a real amazing help and honestly couldn't ask for anyone better to be my significant other. Things kinda suck cause we are on and off again long distance due to college so we only get to physically be around each other during breaks, but theoretically we should be almost done with that so hopefully we can move in together soon.

Honestly dating with DID really isn't that hard or complex if you have a partner that is good with communication, understanding, mature (in like, responsibility, I would die before I called my fiance mature in personality, he makes fart and poop jokes regularly), and just generally a good reliable person. Its a very different / atypical relationship dynamic, but its a very enjoyable dynamic for the both of us.

A lot of it is probably outdated so do take it with a grain of salt since I haven't heavily used this blog for like a year and a half - but there might be some things that might interest you.
