Aaliyah performs her hit song “Try Again” July 21, 2000 on the British music charts program “Top of the Pops” in promotion for the soundtrack to her debut 2000 film "Romeo Must Die".
The song was written by Static Major and Timbaland. "Try Again" features an intro in which Timbaland pays homage to Eric B. & Rakim by rapping the duo's opening verse from "I Know You Got Soul". The song was released as the lead single from Romeo Must Die on March 21, 2000.
In 2000, "Try Again" won "Best Female Video" and "Best Video from a Film" at the MTV Video Music Award and was nominated for countless others. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Female R&B Vocal Performance" but lost to Toni Braxton "He Wasn't Man Enough".
Speaking of Grammy, did you know Aaliyah was a 4 time Grammy nominee before she passed? She was bound to win eventually.
Alliyah as #Storm and Mariah Carey as #emmafrost I kinda feel like aliyah was supposed to end up being an idol. But like storm she was part of the industry , she was never meant to be a role model. Watching Mariah and the company's keeps, as far as partners, I had to turn into Miss Frost. What's cool about Mariah is her product is like a drug. What if Mariah Carey was a drug dealer? #ezikiosk #hiphopartist #hiphopmatters #hiphopmarvel #317universe #xmen #Queens #RnB #tryagain https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnkav01uDl-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Giving up implies acknowledging fatigue, while choosing to rest and retry signifies determination. It's not about surrendering; it's about recognizing the need for rejuvenation. True strength lies in embracing challenges with renewed vigor. Rest is a strategic pause, a testament to resilience—a commitment to rise and strive again.💪🌟
Hora de limpar um pouco a poeira aqui e recomeçar a postar tudo que preciso, e recuperar um pouco de tempo perdido que deixei abandonado aqui, espero que gostem! E nesse processo, vou reencontrando comigo mesmo...
