Listen I’m off anon from this point on lol. These three episodes were stupid. I tried to go the single route so they would send me home, no such luck 😭. They did the Alfie walkout with ole girl like I care about him enough to have any feelings over it. I chose Johnny instead of Nicolas and it didn’t seem to matter. I think they made one script to try and meld both characters personalities so it didn’t matter who you chose and it’s so shitty. Johnny was sweet and I thought that was cute now he’s running around trying to stir the pot like that’s not a 180 for his character.

I knew Gabi was on some bullshit with how “serious” her relationship was with Suresh. Girl, to be called a meaningless fling to your face…to the woman he would have said yes to marrying…ouch. But yeah girl, tell that grown man how he feels after adamantly telling me that you don’t matter to him. Giving delusional.

I found it very telling that when Alfie pulled me for the first chat and I asked him for goss from Casa he basically said that Suresh flew to Lulu and was stuck on her which is weird. Eddie confirmed that it was all for show and here Alfie comes still sly way trying to make sure I don’t get with Suresh. It felt a bit shady to me.

And Meera can kick rocks. I immediately stopped being nice to her after that desperate comment. She clearly has a problem with me so now we have a problem with with other. I never even told Alfie to dump you for me so why am I the one that needs to be voted out?? Insane ass girl. And when she left, excuse me GOT DUMPED, she had to have seen the drama that unfolded and how I was still into Suresh.

Dana…I don’t even know where to start with her. She left Eddie and got WORSE than him. She should have been asking Ginny questions instead of sucking face so she could see what everyone else did. That this stalker ass bitch came here for Suresh and that’s her main goal. I don’t feel bad for her, I told her they won’t last and that I need space from her. No one has been a friend in the villa so I’m iffy about everyone. I could take what she said two different ways. 1. You were coming on strong, begging her back and you DO still want her so duh or 2. That’s cute because you were grafting but it’s over now.

Suresh gave me nothing. But honestly he might just be trying to figure out his next move from here. He probably thought he had this all figured out until he walked back in and saw Gina standing there, looking like every moment he wish he could erase. I mean, if I’m trying to get my ex back and I see the person I fucked up that relationship with I’m gonna be stuck for a minute. Gonna start questioning how I’m gonna work it out with the loml if I also smashed that person for months and ghosted them and yikes, here they are. He’s probably strategizing and trying to figure out how to get her out of the way (make it clear that he doesn’t want her and always having Lulu around so he’s not alone with her) so he can slide back with me and not make the situation any worse.

Not getting much from Suresh didn’t bother me so much because in real life, people do need time to regroup and get a new plan together. Not speaking at all means that man is SHOOK. His mind is probably racing every second he’s awake. And I low key delight in his panic. But Finn surprised me, I knew he felt something but he came across very genuine. He’s my back up because lord help me, I’m still on this Suresh route.

I feel like I just left a book in here lol. My bad!

Loving your posts about ship dynamics

I often end up feeling alone when I start to speak about such things. Because people either ship the opposite of what I think is right ( sn is more popular for some bizarre reason) or claim to don't mind the dynamic ( while in fact preferring the most popular one). Sometimes they even imply that it's wrong to prefer a specific dynamic "because real people are not like that". While in real life most gay people just like hetero people have the preferred position.

I, personally, have a pairings where I tolerate switch dynamic but still have a preferred one. But in those pairings the thing that makes it possible for me is the fact that the characters are both on the somewhat equal footing. There's no psychological or social imbalance between them.

But things like ns or hsmd? No. Clear top/bottom positions to me.

There's even sun/moon symbolism there...

I heard these bullshit things so many times and they make me laugh because probably those who say them aren't even lgbt, or allies, they're just shippers of the other dynamic, or who want to bitch for the sake of bitching, they probably even had s*x before so stfu, gay guys in real life are not even listening to you and they sure don't give a damn about how you portray your characters in your little online world. And the switching thing...ugh. Like you said, some ppl do have preferences irl. Even gay guys. I am not a guy but I do have a strong preference and I had it both when I had a guy and now that I am with a girl. So real life doesn't confirm their bullshit. Also, even if irl it's was they say, we're talking about fictional characters...specifically, fictional characters with supernatural powers, in a fantasy universe. If they can summon magic animals and direct black flames with their eyes, can't they be only bottoms as well? Just sayin'.

And ofc there are the fake switch shippers, who claim they like both but you can clearly see they prefer one, which suspiciously is always the wrong one. They all ship SN but they claim they're open and woke and cool so they like SNS. F*ck them tbh.

I remember some idiot using the sun/moon to prove their OOC point even, i don't remember what was the logic but it was so stupid I blocked them, and it was one of those very popular blogs lol

To think that sun/moon yin/yang should have closed all sort of discussion about top/bottom right? NS and HSMD (which I assume it's hashimada) are pretty clear...and there are many others who are pretty clear, after all if a character like Sas has clearly a passive/yang personality and one like NAr has an assertive/yin personality it's almost impossible to see them in a different 'role'. For me, thinking about top Sas is really OOC. Others can switch, like Kakaobi where I too switch preference for one or the other lol, not being a big fan of the pairing anyway so I go with the mood of the fanart I'm looking at. Or, say, rare pairings as Tobirama/Madara who both give me bottom vibes so who knows. Like you said, when the pairing is really equal I get the switching (even in Shiita I kinda get it) but NS, Hashimada, and all pairings with a power inbalance are clear. And those ppl are wrong.

Timaeus

He’s a little disappointed because he wants to build a family with you (to keep you tied to him, of course), but he doesn’t blame you or put you down for things outside of your control. You’ve been so understanding towards him and all his failings (his sloppy alchemy work, the way he can barely speak a word to people he admires like Albedo, his natural all around awkward nature, etc.) that it’s only right that he reciprocates that kindness.

He wraps his arms around you the day that you tell him and vows that he’ll make your dreams of having a child a reality. Timaeus would give you a child. He wouldn’t let anyone or anything get in the way of your happy ending. The very next day, he talks to Sucrose about looking at her notes, telling her that he’s suddenly developed an interest in bio alchemy.

He pours hours and hours of his time working on his studies, the few spare moments he has left spent with you, reassuring you that you’re perfect and beautiful and that your family will be even more so as soon as he makes his breakthrough.

He slips up, though.

Albedo finds out what he’s trying to do and orders him to stop his research at once. For the first time in his life, Timaeus argues against Albedo. You don’t understand! he screamed as Albedo began to confiscate his research, two members of the Knights holding him back. This research is the only way. You would never understand why we need this. You’ve never been deprived of family before.

Albedo is quiet and cold as he takes the last of Timaeus’ notes. He shows him no sympathy, but more importantly, he shows you and your dream no sympathy.

That night, Timaeus comes home and holds you like the world is crumbling beneath him, legs quaking like a baby doe’s. Let’s leave Mondstadt, he says, peeling his sweaty face away from where it had been buried in the crook of your neck. I don’t need his approval to continue my research. I promised I’d make you happy, Y/N, and I meant it.

You move to a small hut on Falcon Coast. It’s a nice, quaint little place, fresh air for you and slimes for him to experiment on.

Eventually, though, you and Timaeus begin to realize that his research just isn’t moving fast enough. You’re in your forties by the time you can sit him down and tell him -- gently -- to give up. You don’t need a biological child to be happy. All you need is a child that you can raise with him.

He weeps for five and a half minutes before saying -- through snotty sobs -- that that’s all he needs too.

You adopt a child from an orphanage in Mondstadt (Timaeus keeping his head down low in case he runs into Albedo or Sucrose) and the three of you live in relative bliss, Timaeus only getting jealous of your love for your child occasionally.

Heizou

He honestly doesn’t mind much at all. Heizou is an older man with a fast paced life, so he wasn’t really looking to have children in the first place when he entered this relationship with you.

Sure, he’d contemplated adding more serious commitments to your relationship to keep you tied to him, but he was thinking of getting you two a shared cat or a dog rather than a baby.

He’s fairly indifferent when you break the news to him, and it makes you cry. It feels like he isn’t serious about you at all, and that he isn’t as committed to you as you are to him.

When he hears you say that he slams his fist on his desk, (breaking the coffee mug that he was holding and spilling hot coffee all over his hand) and seethes at you in rage. How dare you question my love for you? I won’t tolerate this disrespect, go to our room!

You’re grounded for the whole night and then the next day too for “pouting”.

You end up locked up there for a few days, actually. Not because he’s still punishing you, but because he runs off on another mission and completely forgets to let you out.

You survive off water from the en suite bathroom and the granola bars he thinks you don’t know about that he’s hidden in your mattress.

When he comes back three days later he’s very apologetic, and you just wave them off. Those three days taught you that it’d be best to steer clear of any kind of baby talk from now until the end of time.

Heizou may be a great detective, but he’s not the nurturing type, even if he has a fatherly aura with his mustache and dad bod.

Dainsleif

As soon as you admit your secret to him he gets very still and quiet.

After about 25 minutes of sitting in pure silence he finally turns to look you in the eye and confesses, I’m infertile too.

Though he looks young, apparently he has the same sperm production as a man his age would. He’s not even shooting out blanks at this point, the gun is simply not functional anymore.

The two of you have a long talk about whether the two of you are interested in having a family together and what that family would look like if you were to agree to have one.

He’s a bit opposed to having a child. He likes to have you all to himself and, him being immortal and you being mortal, he knows that your time together is limited. Why on earth would he want to share that time with a child that he doesn’t have the confidence to raise (in all his centuries alive Dainsleif doesn’t think he’s even held a child before).

You, however, want to have a child. Not because you’ve always wanted a child, or because you believe you can build a sweet and tender family with him but because you’re yandere too and you’re scrambling to find a way to keep him tethered to you.

Dainsleif is so beautiful and worldly he could have anyone he wants. And, as a traveler meant to roam the earth for all his days, you’re hoping to find something that will keep him coming back to you.

In the end, the two of you settle on not having a child and instead entering into a black magic soul bond where your life is bound to his. Any time he thinks -- even for a fleeting moment -- of leaving you for good, he will go through an unimaginable searing pain that will affect his whole body and vice versa.

This keeps the two of you feeling very secure and happy throughout your days.

Huai’an

He’s ecstatic by the news.

He’s been keeping your relationship a secret from Verr Goldet for years, and the knowledge that he’ll never have to worry about you blackmailing him with telling her about a secret love child puts him over the moon.

You’re upset though.

You’ve been begging him to leave Verr Goldet for years now, or at the very least persuade her into considering opening up their relationship. And now, when you’ve found out that you can’t have a child with the man you love, he’s practically jumping for joy knowing that he can continue to keep things a secret despite your pleading.

This isn’t fair.

You’ve given him everything. You’d do anything for him. And yet he can’t even pretend to care when you tell him your dreams of having a family will remain just that: just a sad pathetic dream.

He’s about to leave and go home, back to the inn, back to his beautiful Verr Goldet when you smack him on the head with the silver platter full of squirrel fish he brought over to celebrate the news.

You drop the platter when you’ve realized what you’ve done, Huai’an bleeding and groaning on the floor.

You think for a moment.

Well, you think, grabbing a shovel and dragging him out back to your garden. I can’t very well just let him leave and get the Millelith now can I?

You bury him up to his chin in the ground, placing a little chicken coop around his head so no one can see him. He begs to be set free for a few weeks, just like you used to beg.

And just like your begging, his is utterly useless.

He spends years in the chicken coop, learning about the outside world through you.

You can’t help the sly little grin on your face when he weeps upon hearing the news that Verr Goldet -- having remarried the year before -- is pregnant.

You never thought someone else having everything you’ve ever wanted (a loving husband and child) could bring you so much joy, but you feel it as you’re wiping the tears from his dirty face.

Xiao

Though he isn’t happy, he’s very relieved to hear this.

Though he’s a yandere and doesn’t want to share you with anyone, he doesn’t like the idea of hurting children and he just... doesn’t trust himself to be able to care for a child.

He’s a monster. A killing machine. His hands are so stained with blood, he wears his gloves even when touching you. How could he ever hope to hold his newborn with confidence.

This is for the best, he says, staring off into the distance, voice barely heard over Verr Goldet’s loud sobbing coming from the other room.

Her husband has been missing, and the Millelith have finally decided to call off the search and pronounce him dead.

It wouldn’t have been right for the two of us to build a family when those close to us have lost theirs, Xiao says, taking your hand then thinking better of it and just grabbing your sleeve instead. He doesn’t want to put his filthy mitts all over you. We should focus on the family we already have.

For the next few years the two of you work on your relationship and Xiao’s fears while simultaneously telling Verr Goldet that she should put herself out there and find happiness herself.

Despite both of you being yandere for each other, you and Xiao were also platonically yandere for Verr Goldet and only wanted the best for her. Though you would obviously thoroughly background check and threaten everyone who approaches her to make sure she’s safe, you want her to have the life and family she’s always wanted.

Eventually, you and Xiao are clapping at her wedding, a single tear in Xiao’s eye as he congratulates the new Mrs. Ragnvindr, shaking (and trying to crush) Diluc’s hand as he tells him not to hurt her.

In two years the two of you are in your new godson’s nursery, Xiao holding him with trembling hands, flinching when the baby grabs his ungloved finger.

You smile.

This wasn’t the family you had in mind, but you’ve found that it’s the one you’ve always needed.

bottom!mickey nonnie here, i had some more thoughts in response to your reply, if you don't mind? :) i can see where the trust aspect might come into play for mickey re: bottoming and i understand your thought process. the only thing that makes me doubt that is how quickly that trust must have been established between him and ian if that is the case. they haven't been fucking for that long when kash walks in on them (which is the first instance we actually know mickey bottoms). i suppose that there could have been a lot of off-screen developments and interactions, but it's too quick imo. their relationship in season one seems more puppy-love to me rather than a deep bond (which i see as starting to form in season two). the way i see it, the only level of trust that needs to be established is "i know you won't tell anyone because you're also closeted and you won't treat me like a bitch because if you do, i'll beat you tf up and just never fuck you again" which is pretty shallow and something mickey could probably have reached with other guys, too. idk, i just don't see their relationship in season one as deep enough for mickey to start trusting ian with things he's worried or insecure about. it makes more sense to me that he lets ian fuck him because it's not that big a deal, rather than because he's already let ian past his walls. we know that ian is all in by that point, but i just don't think mickey is. he likes ian, is drawn to him (probably against his better judgement), but that's as far as it goes, as i see him. since there are such few scenes between them in season one we have no choice but to make our own interpretations, and those are bound to differ. i've just never seen mickey indicate that he thinks bottoming = being a bitch, or even that it's something he worries about. the only thing to support that would be his attitude to prison, but like i said before, i don't think mickey views sex in prison the same as he views sex on the outside. he probably views everything in prison differently. on the outside, with guys who share his secret? i don't think it's too much of a stretch that he would just do what he wants. the danger is the same either way. just my interpretation of him, of course :)

I don't mind one little bit; in fact, I'm delighted! Apart from enjoying the fun discussion, it's always gratifying to hear back from anons: you usually never actually know if your answer has reached them.

First off, you're damned right it's quick! I personally don't subscribe to the idea that Mickey knew that Ian was gay or had a crush on him preceding their 1x07 tryst (nothing wrong with that notion, btw, it just doesn't appeal to me), so when they suddenly start tearing off each other's clothes that's very sudden. I tend to assume there might have a tiny bit of vague interest prior to this, the proximity and tussling triggers mutual attraction, they both spring boners, and yeah, off they go? You're also quite right in (implicitly) pointing out that we don't know that they had penetrative sex at that time – maybe they moved up from mutual handjobs or just plain grinding to something more a few trysts later. Either way, you make a good point about the danger of sex outside of lock-up would be the same regardless of whether Mickey bottoms or not. I'd never really thought about that before, so thank you for pointing that out!

However, it's probable that the reason I haven't thought very much about it is because when I speak of Mickey's easy trust for Ian I don't primarily mean him trusting Ian not to reveal his secrets to anyone else, but trust him to know Mickey in a way others are not allowed – and here we disagree and that is fine. :) If you see Mickey as unbothered by being into bottoming, you can certainly find support for that in the narrative. We do have the famous ”liking what I like”-line, which absolutely can be taken at face value! The fact that I tend to interpret it as (partly) Mickey being deliberately unapologetic because he feels a bit uneasy about his preferences and is somewhat defensive about Ian's brief allusions to common prejudices around bottoming, has more to do with my assumption that – given Mickey's circumstances – this is something that Mickey's likely to feel insecure about. He's internalized his father's homophobia to some degree; it just seems reasonable to me that he'd have internalized Terry's strong conviction that Milkoviches don't bottom too. (He certainly seems ready to embody that when he attacks Ian's army fuck buddy in season 3, citing the need to kick him straight because he's the one taking it up the ass. However, that could also totally performative or seen as him making a twisted kind of in-joke, so it's hardly conclusive.) Furthermore, I feel that it's not unreasonable to question Mickey's sincerity in regards to the line mentioned above, since we do have instances of him acting seemingly geuninely dismissive even when we know he probably cares quite a bit. I'm thinking primarily about his reaction to Ian's sex strike in season 11; I just don't buy he was unbothered by that, but there's nothing in the way he expresses his lack of concern that suggests it's insincere. This doesn't mean that I think my reading of the line is the correct one, though, just that it's a possible reading given what else we know of Mickey.

But of course, this really is just my assumptions and interpretations. It's very possible to infer from his actions onscreen that Mickey is totally unconcerned about bottoming, and always has been. After all, Mickey is in many ways a genuinely confident person, and I think this extends to his sex life. (I just think there's insecurity and concern, too... Basically, I think Mickey's relationship with his own sexuality and preferences is complicated, a paradoxical tangle of confidence and shame. I find this complexity is fascinating, and if we're being honest that's probably one of the reasons why I'm not so eager to let go of the notion of it.)

That said, though, and regardless of whether or not bottomingrequires any particular trust on Mickey's part, I think we dohave some concrete evidence of Mickey letting Ian past his walls already in 1x07. Not the sex – because we don't know anything about that – but the return of the gun after. That look on Mickey's face just then? That's vulnerability. It might not be logical, but I think it's there, and that this easy, natural understanding is a huge part of what has them coming back to each other again and again in spite of the odds being stacked overwhelmingly against them. Like you, though, I don't see this as a deep bond or anything, not this early. Ian falls in love quickly and easily; for Mickey is a much slower process, because he fights even the possibility of it tooth and claw.

You’re alone, so there isn’t much to be chaotic with besides the younger glass version of the man living in the walls

But boy OOOOOH booy, he’s in for a surprise

of course, he has noticed little hints...

You mumble to yourself sometimes, then laugh with an embarrassed expression, which causes him to wonder if you know he’s there

why else would you be embarrassed? if no one’s there, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about, right?

running through the halls with socks on tho, it’s a must, chaotic or not

there’s many other sneak-peaks he gets of your chaos, but he truly learns about it after he’s revealed and you guys get together

Overall, Brahms is pretty happy with you. Take away the intimidation he feels from you, the need for speed being more chaotic than you, and the grump attitude he’ll give you if you prove to be more of a mischievous little rat than he is, and you’ve got yourself a happy wall boyo

Well look at that-

It’ll take a bit to get Drayton to like you fully, but Chop Top’s better and he’s the supportive big brother, so it doesn’t really matter

Chop Top hangs out with you a lot

Bubba is embarrassed by the fear of what his big brother is telling you

could he be talking about anything personal involving Bubba?

Lets be honest, before the family met you, Bubba was acting off

Chop Top nagged at Bubba to figure out what was wrong, but this one night at dinner, he definitely caught Bubba’s attention

“Bubba? Bubba? Is it a girl problem? Dating problems?”

Bubba’s head flew up from his hunched position, relieved it didn’t fly off with how fast it happened

Chop Top slowly processed Bubba’s actions, then came to a conclusion with a wide mischievous smile

“BUBBA’S GOT A GIRLFRIEND! BUBBA’S GOT A GIRLFRIEND”

his chant was highly annoying, not to mention dreadfully embarrassing

When Bubba finally allows you to meet his family, Chop is the first to speak

“Well that’s a little new-”

He was expecting a girlfriend, but hey, as I’ve said, Chop is the most supportive big brother known to Texas so-

“Which one of yous is the bottom?”

cue Bubba having one of his nervous moments

“Do you even have to ask?” Drayton adds from his chair

Bubba’s even more blushy and squirmy

Dinner goes alright that night, and you’ve managed to hold off the chaos, but the next visit comes around you’ve decided you just don’t give a bloody damn.

All hell breaks lose when Chop and you are together

Drayton: Where’s Y/n?

Bubba: *shrugs*

Drayton: Where’s Chop Top?

Bubba: *shrugs*

Loud clatter sounds through the entry

Basically, if you’re chaotic and dating Bubba, you might as well be Chop Top’s new bestie
