Always, Lexa has loved her.
In every lifetime. In every iteration of her.
Forged in the fires of hell and phosphorus embers of perdition, Lexa, a demon, walks among them. From the dawn of man crawling from their caves on bended knee, to the concrete skylines of the new world, she watched them flourish, thrive, and crumble. Smelled the smoke of their burning Eden while sipping their sin like the finest opulent wine.
"Kiss me harder," Lexa whimpers against the heat of Clarke's milk and honeyed mouth as hands work their will below.
In every lifetime she is different. A different face. A different name. Golden blonde bleeding to silver, burnt amber to black. A village healer who seeks to comfort. A coven leader who works her incantations in vain. A conjurer, a shawoman, a witch by so many shifting names. From the days when beasts roamed free and she, only a nomad protecting her clan through a veil of ancient mystics, to Clarke Griffin of the new age, the midwife with a strange knack for saving lives already thought lost to this realm.
"Fuck, Lex," Clarke sighs, rolling her hips into the thrust of Lexa's fingers hard enough to rattle the bones.
From the beginning, Lexa has watched her hone her craft, over decades and centuries and long lost millennia. Has watched her conjure and harness death in the smoke of fire-stoked chants, as her beating heart burned at the stake. Has kissed the choked, 'May we meet again' from the blue of her lips, felt the cold of her skin as she drowns on the riverbanks by their righteous hands in the never ending cycle of loving her, and losing her, and patiently waiting for that someday when she is reborn again.
"I've missed you." Lexa feels her tears turn to ash in the chalice of Clarke's kiss; quenching and searching and chasing after so many years without.
Hell doesn't burn quite so lovingly in the lifetimes when she loves her back, returning Lexa's kisses and aching for her touch with equally wicked smiles. When she breathes her passion and pleasure against the warmth of Lexa's lips and lays her body among the ruins of their blasphemy. Back arched and legs spread as she pants for Lexa to fill her more, to take her rougher. To pour her sinister lust into her. The lifetimes where Lexa gets to hold her, taste and touch her, to feel her wrapped tight and wet around her fingers… Those are lifetimes that bring color to the grey of Lexa's damnation. When power seeps from her like a sieve of midnight fury, tasting of blood and summer sweet dandelions on Lexa's tongue.
Clarke gasps in pants and sacred salt, hands breaking the circle upon such consecrated ground. "Don't let me forget, baby. Don't let me forget you."
Beyond her earthly bindings, the truth of her remains. The unwavering essence that calls to Lexa from the four corners of the Earth whenever she returns to her.
Her soul remains true in every lifetime, in every iteration
And always, Lexa has loved her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or, Demon Lexa falling for every reincarnation of Witchy Clarke over the expanse of eternity, but mostly I'm just here for the aesthetics 🎃
Girl, you might not realize it, but you got it bad if a man's fully clothed upper back evokes that look on your face...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love how he - I don't want to say accepts her issues - because he wants to fix them - but accepts she has them and acts within those confines, if it makes sense. Like he makes her coffee and then takes the first sip to show it's not poisoned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His modesty cracks me up.
Tumblr media
The dinner thing is more of the same accepting her issues and trying to nudge at them but not in a way that makes her uncomfortable - he's made her dinner and tries to tempt her and show it's safe etc but ultimately (and I loved it because it's not something that can be fixed quickly, a tiny sip of coffee was already a big deal), she still doesn't touch it one bit and after showing her it's safe and going mmm delish to tempt her to try he basically drops it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also love that while he's clearly head over heels, he keeps making jokes and defusing the situation so she can comfortably go with her assumption he's odd and also it's a business arrangement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bwahahaha, he's barely able to keep a straight face when he says he wants her for stock tips but what really gets me is that even though he's not even covering his feelings much, any sense of desirability has been beaten out of her - it genuinely isn't even in realm of possibility for her that a man, let alone a catch of one, would just genuinely want her for her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His reaction to her term of their contract convinces me he's been reborn too, since this is the time on her wrist, ticking away, and it must be on his too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know he prepped like crazy. But also OMG she will finally have a safe space that is just hers!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is probably the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for her!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I love that her room is cute and sweet and not that soulless jail cell she has at home. No idea if it's her taste or not, but what she is moved by is not the aesthetics per se, but the fact that someone clearly tried to please her, to compensate for what she said was her room at home. And honestly, it's heartbreaking that this is the first time - because at the orphanage they obviously couldn't and her adopted family obviously wouldn't, and this is the first time and she's an adult!!!!
Tumblr media
He may say it's his secretary who picked out the clothes but we all know he's a lying liar who lies right here. Look at his face!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Woman, if he could, he'd glue himself to you literally, of course it's OK!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is this story utter wish fulfillment? Of course. But the world is a cold and brutal place and a little wish fulfillment on my screen goes a long and glorious way in helping.
Do you need a new Hermicraft fic to read? Do you love unseen horrors and unknown pasts?
Well, my friends, look no further than my fic, vertitatem dies aperit! (It's got a Latin title, that's how you know it's good.)
It has all you could ever want and more! Including...
Past lives!
Past loves!
Nature symbolism!
Dreams that can't just be dreams...
Alternate dimensions!
Seeing things that aren't there!
Hearing things that aren't there!
An eldritch horror forest monster!
A charming 1900s aesthetic setting!
References to music and books that actually tie into the plot!
A love triangle that (spoiler!) ends up in a polyamorous relationship! (FINALLY!)
AND SO MUCH MORE!
The only warnings for this fic include the nongraphic death of an animal (a bird), hallucinations and unreality, and violence (no heavy gore, but I can't promise it won't get graphic).
If that isn't enough to convince you, here is a short snippet from Chapter Eleven: Chord. (Oh, by the way, each chapter has a name derived from something important in it. Just another easter egg for you!)
Some sang, some yelled, some cried. They sounded as if They held every emotion all at once, yet nothing at all. They were everywhere, bouncing off nonexistent walls and floating through the fog. They were in his head, yet incomprehensible in his mind. “We are proud of the progress you have made. You are doing well.” The air was warm, then freezing, then burning. It hurt. “You will return to your divinity in no time. Come back to your senses.” Grian tried to draw in air to speak, but he could barely keep his breathing steady. “Go back to the forest.” Voices weaved in and over one another, braiding noises in the thick air. “Leave behind this inferior realm. Find your purpose and be reborn again.”
There's also an official playlist for this fic that I'm still updating and plan to make a web-weaving type of post later! Feel free to check it out and send me song suggestions in my inbox!
You also get an author who is VERY happy to entertain theories in his inbox, and will always at least acknowledge your questions (because xe obviously can't spoil what happens) and give updates under the #TCC update tag below!
And if all of that is exactly what you're looking for in a fic, then you should check out chapter one here!
CHAPTERS POSTED AS OF AUG 23: 11/18
Feel free to reblog if you have any mutuals that might be interested in reading!
A lot since the last update, I know, but here I am!
What happened?
I finished A Realm Reborn, I cried. A lot.
I became an Au'ra, I wanted a more edgy look and I love the aesthetic.
I started Heavensward and I got all the healers to level 60 so I became a Ninja. I tried other DPS classes like Red Mage, Pugilist and Samurai but none hooked me, while Ninja is one of the funniest experience I've had in the game, I also LOVED the job quests for it.
The journey is still long, I'm playing every day, I'll keep updating Tumblr more often from now on! See you <3
A Blog’s (Re)Purpose
Yo. So this blog has always been about Vy’thanis Felbane, nosy netherdrake extraordinaire. But I haven’t played WoW in several years and this blog has languished. However, the character has not! He has been (a realm) reborn as Vy’thanis Lusignon, nosy Duskwight stone-shaper in Final Fantasy XIV.
I’m kind of sad that my sideblogs with all their fun aesthetics and RP and answers have lain disused for years. I think I’m done with that. From this point forward, I’m keeping all the things that made up Vy’thanis Felbane, but I would like to introduce you all (and any new followers) to Vy’thanis Lusignon.
Please look forward to it.
On the 30th of September, twelve years ago, Final Fantasy XIV Online was released for Microsoft Windows.
Set in the fantasy realm of Eorzea, players took control of a customized avatar as they explore the land and were caught up in both an invasion by the hostile Garlean Empire and the threat of the primals, the deities of the land's beastmen tribes. Eventually, they were embroiled in a plot by a Garlean Legatus to destroy the primals by bringing one of the planet's moons down on Eorzea.
Tumblr media
The game had been in development since 2005 under the codename "Rapture", and was announced in 2009 for Windows and the PlayStation 3. It ran on Square Enix's Crystal Tools middleware engine, which was adjusted to suit the game's specifications. During development, the team carried over multiple aesthetic elements from Final Fantasy XI while attempting to create something that stood on its own. Due to several factors, the development was beset by problems that would later have drastic effects on the game. Attempts to bring the game to Xbox 360 fell through due to disagreements with Microsoft about the use of Xbox Live.
After its alpha test and a delayed beta test, the game went live on September 30, 2010, remaining active until its servers were closed on November 11, 2012. At launch, the game was met with a negative response: while the graphics and music were praised, other aspects were unanimously panned, including the gameplay, interface, and the general impression of the game being unfinished. Critic and fan backlash caused Square Enix to suspend subscription fees, indefinitely postpone the PlayStation 3 version, and replace the development team leadership, with Naoki Yoshida as producer and director. Yoshida decided to make marginal improvements before the game's shutdown, ultimately replacing it with a new version initially subtitled A Realm Reborn, which met with a favorable reception upon its release.
