Friday August 15th

approx 9:25pm

“Ani if you dont place them right , it’ll ruin the cookies” you whine as your (secret) boyfriend wasn’t putting his back into making the dessert you two planned for the movie night as much as you were.

Anakin places cookie blobs on the tray and you shape them to look like actual cookies

“How the fuck do you place it wrong, its just putting them on the tray ” he replies countering your complaint about his skills at baking.

“ugh you don- back up back up, i’ll do it myself. You just sit there and look pretty” you huff and push him to sit on the stool that overlooks the kitchen table.

“see now THAT i can do just perfectly” Anakin winks and lets out a chuckle at his own comment as he sits down on the stool.

as the two of you stay in the kitchen , placing the tray of cookies into the oven , a call comes from your home phone.

You pick up the phone but dont answer , looking at the name you hesitate to answer. The ringing echos for a few minutes, “whats wrong? who is it?” Anakin asks curiously.

“its uh- its GB/N” , He stares at you softly understanding your hesitation. “what do i tell her if she asks where i am?”

he comes up with the excuse of “just say your busy thats all” , nodding at his idea you answer the phone.

“Hey whats up?” , “ah nothing much , just wanted to see if your free. are you?”. “not tonight sorry GB/N, got tons of homework.”

Anakin smirks at your excuse of doing “so much homework”. Suddenly an idea springs into his head, he makes his way behind you and starts cleaning up the baking supplies, waiting for the right moment to pounce.

“ah its alright , we’ll go out another night. Man how is everyone busy but me!? even Anakin went out at 5 and still isn’t back!”

“Anakin still isn’t back and he left at 5? i wonder where he could be” you say trying to make it sound like you dont have a clue where he could be.

This was his moment.

Anakins arm snakes around your waist and travels your whole body , the sudden touch makes you gasp but right away you shut up to avoid suspicions.

“what happened?? why’d you gasp?” she asks on the other side of the phone. You clear your throat and let him continue with his little ruse.

“uh- umm nothing , sorry thought i saw a spider. it was just a piece of lint” you say sounding unsure but you could care less anyways. Anakin was distracting you too much.

His deep chuckle is heard prominently from your other ear as he rests his head on that shoulder.

“ew , but yeah Anakin’s still not back! he said he had some important business to attend to but that just makes him sound like a serial killer” she replies.

Absolutely none of her words registered properly into you head because Anakin kept going on with his little game. His giant arms travelled down to your thighs and just teasing your inner thighs as he takes his thumbs and gently grazes it back and forth.

His lips kiss your neck from behind , slow and one kiss at a time, making you yearn for more on the inside.

“i- i uh wouldn- wouldnt worry much abo- about him. He’s a ye-year old-older thannn uss so he-hes doing teenage boy th-things” you stumble on your words barley able to form a proper sentence. How could you? you were so drunk on Anakin. You needed him more than anything but you couldn’t blow your cover, not this early to your GB/N.

“are you sure your okay?” you sound really out of it” she questions your odd behaviour, concerned about what’s possibly going on , on the other side of the phone.

Anakin takes his sisters suspicions as a loud ringing bell that tells him to continue. His arms move from your upper thighs to inside your shirt. His hands move to your bra and fiddle with the outline of it

“ye-yeah , im uh perfect-ly fine” You gulp half way through what you could finish of that sentence.

“are you absolutely sure cau- i think im not feeling well. ill talk to you tomorrow after i get some sleep?”

You cut her off because you genuinely cant deal with the embarrassment of trying not to make it sound like your enjoying your boyfriend who happens to be her older brother straight up groping you right now

“yeah yeah sounds good , get some rest N/N. love you” , “yeah goodnight , Love you too”.

The call ends and you immediately (attempt to) smack Anakin on the head

“Ani! what the hell was that for. were you trying to get us in trouble ??” you scold the brown haired male for his antics. “At this point i dont care if the world knew we’re together, God i cant stop myself from being near you N/N”

“you dont mean that Anakin” you weakly say as you turn around and look down from his gaze.

Even though you two always liked it each other secretly and then finally fessed up not that long ago. You still had doubts about your relationship and Anakin has tried everything he could to prove himself. Its not that you dont trust him, its that you feel unsure about the whole sneaking around thing.

He pushes your chin up with two fingers “of course i do. i always have meant it” he sternly claims as he presses his forehead against yours.

the two of you stay quiet for a moment.

“Maybe soon okay? i just need to figure out how to tell her” you propose meekly to Anakin hoping he’ll be okay with it, “whenever your ready baby.” he replies with ease.

You couldn’t believe your dating the most perfect man of all time. The man only poets write about , the man women fawn over and men get intimidated of. The man of your dreams is holding you in his arms reassuring you of anything you want.

its a dream come true.

You pull back from the forehead touching and lean in for a deep kiss with him. Nothing could pull you two apart, not now and not ever.

Ding!

well except for the oven and the cookies you two made.

To say nights were hard was a bit of an understatement for you. Sleep didn’t come easy - not when it was majorly plagued with painful projections and stalking memories, haunting you throughout the night when they couldn’t tear at you through the day.

So, you being up at god-knows-when at night really wasn’t too alarming. You didn’t even mind it that much anymore, it was a bit like a routine. The exhaustion was annoying, and the daily naps were a pain, but it was easier than attempting to face sleep.

Usually. Usually, your waking mind was clearer and safer than your sleeping one. Not tonight.

Tonight? Tonight, the thunder rolling through the air practically sent shockwaves through your room, sending your mind reeling into that fogged, not-quite-here, am-i-there haze, making your chest ache and stomach knot painfully. You wished your mind would surrender you to sleep, even if it was just trading one hell for another.

It wasn’t long before you ended up at Farah’s door like a little lost puppy. It seemed pointless - your hand was heavy with the fear of being a burden and you couldn’t even remember how you’d gotten there. The throbbing weight in your chest seemed to ebb into the air, the thickness slipping from your lungs before you could really get a full breath in.

Farah opening the door almost into your face was actually blessed coincidence, the empty glass in her hand somehow assured your oblivious little mind of just how much of a problem you were to her.

She didn’t even need to see the tears verging on spilling over your cheeks to know.

“Oh, hon, come on, lovely. I can’t have you out here by yourself, can I?”

You only just brought yourself to nod, lower lip wobbling involuntarily. Hands slipped across your back before you could burst into tears, softly guiding your listless form into her room, what little awareness you had left trailing behind. The gentle click of the door shutting only just stood out from the blood rushing through your ears, trying to shield from the growling of the thunder outside.

“Are you.. Are you warm enough, قلبي?” Her words were so motherly it hurt.

“How about I get you something warm to drink, alright? I’ll make your favourite, promise. Then we can snuggle up here and have a movie marathon, or something. How does that sound, love?”

A cosy, toasty drink and snuggles with your favourite girl? It did sound nice.

Farah’s smile widened. You must’ve nodded, or something. You didn’t quite know.

“There. I’m glad you like that idea. Just hold up one second, right?”

And then she plodded off again. Her absence made you hurt primally, fear creeping across your chest and up your throat, latching onto you with an iron grip. No, no, she couldn’t leave, it wasn’t safe, how did you let her go all alone what if-

“Hey, حبيبي, hey, it’s okay. Come here, shh.”

She was back. It felt like some kind of emotional whiplash, your feelings being pulled apart and moulded back together again, moving too quickly for you to really react.

Gentle, familiar hands guided you to sit back down - when had you stood up? - and cradled your cheek in their careful hold. Something slipped up over your ears, and the world went quiet again. Almost disturbingly so, the lack of input, of reassurance to your senses, it was scary.

It was like Farah read your mind as she leaned back in to whisper right next to your ear, just loud enough for you to hear, “It’s alright, sweetheart. Come on, you’re alright. We’re safe right now, we just have to let this storm pass. Literally, for once.”

The relaxed humour brought a weak smile to your face. It didn’t quite reach your eyes, but that was alright. You needed time and reassurance, only one of those had you received a decent amount of.

Her bed creaked as she joined next to you, worn, homely springs groaning with effort. Your hands were enveloped in her touch once again, substantial warmth coating the back of your hand, branching out over your palm and peeking up your wrist.

Farah didn’t hesitate to ease you down against the headboard, tucking a hand down against the small of your back as she fumbled for something she’d placed on the bedside table.

“Do you want that drink, love? I made your favourite. Same way as usual, don’t worry.” The mug was held by your hand, supporting it as you took it in your shaking ones. Her lips puckered softly as she puffed over the hot liquid, a little plume of steam flowing up to your face, the warm flash dragging your mind back somewhat. You idly noticed the seeds of a headache taking root against your temple.

“Careful, غالي, it’s hot.” It took a few moments to drag your eyes up and take her in, but you got there in the end. “Oh, hello, sweetheart. Popped back in, have we?” The light bags tugging at her under eye were engulfed by the soft plush of her cheeks as she smiled. To say she looked relieved was a bit of an understatement. One of her hands slipped from the mug, ensuring it was stable before coming up to give your cheek a little squeeze, thumbing gently at your cheekbone.

At your slow nod, her smile widened even further, gratitude pouring into her gaze. The mug was, once again, eased from your grasp at your seeming disinterest. It was probably going cold, but she didn’t particularly care.

“How do you feel about taking a nap, lovely? Just you and me. We can put on a movie too, like a little cosy movie night - does that sound nice?”

“Yeah..” Your words were almost too shaky to be intelligible, but seeing Farah’s warm glow at the attempt made it worth it.

Hands roamed gently under your thighs, easing you down into her shockingly comfy covers - ‘commander’s privileges’ - and proceeding to tuck you in, fussing over you all the while. It was a win/win, really, she got to look after and fuss over you, and you got a little bit of well-deserved spoiling.

After you were sufficiently smothered, Farah pulled herself up off the bed, calling out a soft ‘one sec’ before jogging out of the room. It was quiet. That wasn’t that bad anymore, though. She’d be back, soon.

Your mind barely wandered in the time it took for her to swipe the laptop off of the coffee table and speed back. She knew better than to leave you alone with your thoughts right now, though your semi-calmness when she got back was reassuring.

“Here we are..” Farah murmured idly, clambering up next to you, placing the laptop on the bedside table by your head. You were softly eased onto your side and pulled to a firm, pillowy chest. One arm was laid out under your shoulder, simultaneously supporting you and reaching out to the laptop, opening up her downloads and mindlessly scrolling through her library of movies. Her other arm was laid over your side, kneading at your tummy before moving slowly up to your chest.

The next few minutes were spent with Farah idly chatting into your ear, bouncing movie ideas off of you as she internally preened at each and every response you gave. Together, you decided on a movie, and cuddled into each other’s safe warmth as the opening credits rolled.

By the halfway mark, you were fast asleep. By the end, Farah was too.

you could only admire the look of your boyfriend’s face as KAZUHA starts reciting another poem that he wrote just for you under the maple tree of his yard, feeling relaxed from your surroundings — until there was one phrase from the poem that made your eyes widen in surprise. the man above you lets out an amused chuckle when you pointed the certain line out. “yes, i was asking if you want to go with me to prom… i do hope you’re planning on saying yes.”

nothing is as shocking as the sight of many roses that forms a phrase “be my date to prom, y/n?” in the schoolyard. you could care less about the fact that your schoolmates are seeing such a surprising sight, how could you say no to your boyfriend, KAEYA, who’s standing a few steps from his work with a grin etched on his face?

you could watch in awe as you watch EULA dancing on the center of the dance floor as though no one is watching her (in reality everyone else was watching in amazement). your awe expression immediately turns to shock when she suddenly came up to you and reach her hand out towards you, gesturing you to come dance with her as a slow song starts playing.

you and TARTAGLIA were simply swaying in each other’s arms as an ed sheeran song in the background, enjoying each other’s presence throughout the song. it wasn’t until the song suddenly changed to a dubstep when your boyfriend suddenly switched up from being whispering sweet nothings to you into challenging a nearby dancer with a smirk on his face. “hey you! come and have a dance off with me!”

the ones with the food — raiden shogun, itto, and zhongli

in comparison to slow-dancing and sit with the one and only RAIDEN SHOGUN, you pretty much prefer sharing each other’s tricolor dangos with her as the both of you watch people dance in the dance floor, listening as your prom partner talks about whatever comes in her mind and let you get to know her as more than the cold and mysterious student of your batch.

you honestly wish that you take back what you said when you told ITTO that it’s impossible to eat ramen upside down as you currently watch him trying to prove you wrong. unnoticed to you both, some people around you were watching the scene as well in surprised, only for them to cheer loud when itto actually finished the ramen upside down. you could only watch him with your mouth agape as he sends you a proud smile. “what’s my reward for proving you wrong?” my heart it seems, you thought to yourself with a smile.

you paid no mind to the fact that your meal is growing cold as you continue to listen to ZHONGLI ranting about history, nodding and adding comments here and there to let him know that you’re listening attentively and definitely not simping for his super nice voice. your cheeks then warmed when he suddenly grabbed your meal and scooped some of them towards your mouth. “as much as i appreciate you listening to me unlike most people, i wouldn’t want you to starve on such a peaceful night, hm?”

the ones with the crown — jean and diluc

you immediately cheered when your girlfriend is announced as the prom queen, watching as her jaw drops down to the ground in shock and became unsure on what to do. you couldn’t help but feel amused when everyone started chanted JEAN’S name much to her embarrassment as she continues to stay on her seat and not take the crown. it wasn’t until you offered to escort her there when jean had the courage to go up to the stage with you on her side.

when DILUC was announced as the prom ruler, you could only laugh your ass off from the look of his tired face. however, your laughter only lasted for such a short time when you too was announced as the other prom ruler, causing his mouth to twitch upward from the turn of events. it truly was a sight to see you and diluc defeatedly accepting the crowns.

the ones with the getaway car — thoma, itto, xiao, and albedo

you weren’t sure if your palms was the one that’s sweating or THOMA’S as the both of you run down the stairs towards his car, grinning from ear to ear from the fact that you dipped out from the school’s prom night party. your smile could only grew wider when the both of you thought out loud of going to the same place together. as thoma starts the car and instantly drives away to the night, you could only hope that the school didn’t choose you or thoma as the prom rulers right now.

when you and ITTO have grown bored of tonight’s party, you casually asked him if he would like to visit your place and order some pizza together, only for him to immediately accept and offer to drive you there. it’s safe to say that you did not regret spending the whole night watching rom-com movies with itto instead of partying with your schoolmates.

you immediately said yes without a second thought when XIAO asks if you want to ditch the party and come with him to a nearby arcade place that he found while driving his way to the school. you later on found out that your classmates did not lie when they said that your prom partner was a god in games. by the end of the night, you and xiao walk out from the place together with prizes in hand and feelings perhaps.

you honestly don’t know how you ended up talking to ALBEDO about your experiments in your laboratory in the corner of the gymnasium— you don’t even know the guy much and yet here the both of you are; talking to each other as though you two are old friends reuniting. you then realized that you automatically said yes when the mysterious man asked if you wanted to see some of his experiments, feeling your cheeks warmed when he suddenly grabs your now-sweaty palm and head towards the exit of the gym, ranting about the experiment that he’s planning to show you, not noticing how his mouth suddenly twitches upward that his plan on talking to you worked.

i live in peru in the coast so its very humid but rn its summer so its super hot, i live in front of the ocean but not technically that near to it. you can go to the beach by car and its a 30-40 min drive (of course not right now bc of the pandemic all the beaches are closed 😭) but i usually go to visit my grandma’s beach house in summer or i just stay here and go for walks. right now im teaching english online to some kids but i cant do it in person bc the covid cases are still high... but yeah i love summer and the heat isnt unbearable rn thank god 😥
