RO’s thoughts when developing/realizing their feelings for MC ?
Aelius: I’ll keep them safe. I have to keep them safe now.
Céline: If what I’m feeling is true then I won’t lose them again. I can’t lose them again.
Gabriel: Why is this happening? I’m not supposed to have any distractions.
Natasha: It’ll pass. It will pass. I can’t lose focus on what I’m destined to do.
Gray/Grace: Why does this feel so right?
Damien/Diana: An interesting development. I better not get too soft because of this.

Little Personal take on the Roman Counterparts for the Greek Titanesses and Titans. Even I myself manage to come up with some Fan-Made Name Counterparts for some of these Other Gods instead of having the same counterparts have the same name as each other.
UPDATED: 11/4/2023; Since I no longer made a concept where Pontus and Thalassa were Titans (which I did regret making up that choice), I’ve decided to now stick with the Other Water Gods (who are the Parents of the Nereids) in my AU as Titans.

FFxivWrite22 Entry #15: Row

FFxivWrite Prompt #15: Row
The Imperial legions once boasted such numbers and strength that their soldiers stretched on and on as far as the eye could see in perfect rows, stiff and at attention. Not a word uttered. Not a wrinkle in uniform. Not a toe out of line. Step out of line, get punished. That was the way of things in the Garlean Empire, and Garlemald's punishments were harsh.
Aelius had always thought himself a diligent and dutiful soldier, but that wasn't exactly true. He was aware of the position his family held, that he held because of them, and the pros of cons. If he had no choice but take the bad, why reject the good? Wasn't that his right to maintain the balance? Some part of him had always felt that he was superior to others, untouchable--that the rules did not apply to him. That notion fell apart once he came to Eorzea, however. No one knew or cared who he was, they only cared that he was an enemy. But his arrogance had long since been bred in him. He learned the reality of things the hard way. Step out of line, get punished.
For so long, he had struggled with where to place the blame for their failed mission–on himself, or Faye and the savage Eorzeans. However, there was another player involved. Aelius was not the only one who had been lost in his ego. Even his father was not infallible, as much as he pretended, as much as Ael had once believed it. Stanislas had his own hubris with which to contend, and in the end, it had burned them all. Step out of line, get punished. No one was above that law.

SO I've been going crazy about this guy in private, made an entire sketch comic about him and everything, all without actually introducing him to the public so here he is!
His name is Aelius Fatum. They used to be a small-town priest before he experienced the onset symptoms of sudden cardiac death on his way home from a service and lost consciousness. He was given medical care, but unfortunately he was not able to be revived and passed away. Well, sort of!! His heart stopped for around 10 minutes and he was pronounced dead, but then miraculously it started beating again. Aelius was never the same after the incident though, going from warm and jovial to withdrawn and emotionally repressed.
Because of the mystique surrounding their recovery, they are offered a seat among The Shepherds of Cinderhallow, since it's clear they MUST be blessed by Solem in some way. They reside there to this day, becoming something of a de facto leader as they say and do things that suggest that Solem speaks with them- or through them often.
They are a strong proponent of the mindset philosophy of Amor Fati to justify the action- or inaction of their god, and they navigate every situation with an unnerving calmness because of it. To Aelius, Solem is an artist, and reality is their art made to express the complexities of their inner landscape. Any tragedy that Solem allows to happen is because sometimes art exists to challenge us and make us uncomfortable. Anything is fair game if it properly communicates Solem's vision, because that is what good art does.
Following the art metaphor, I believe Aelius interprets his roll as Solem's paintbrush/pen/pencil etc, a tool that can be utilized to bend a reality that the artist can exist within in all ways but physical.
