Realized during my last read of king's men that the reason neil is so good at accepting andrew's boundaries and not touching him without consent? Is because he couldn't touch his father without being punished. I can't get pictures right now but there are multiple quotes in the scene with neil and his father where neil indicates that this was a reoccuring thing in his childhood. Where he says he knows what would happen if he touched his father. Where neil almost grabbed his arm to stop him from hurting him but jerked his hand away at the last second.

truly videogames are such a good medium for stories where Something Is Wrong With Time... every game with a saving mechanic has a time travel function, be it acknowledged in universe or not. games can give you the option to experience pieces of story in a non-linear fashion or skip them entirely. time and timing is no longer bound to the confines of a movie's runtime or pages of a book...!

#yes of course this is inspired by isat and insertdisc5s Comics about this topic #but im currently playing the new prince of persia game and essentially Time Is Broken #you could even say SOMETHING IS ROTTING... FAILING........#and by playing i mean im Dying; Constantly #but im actually having so much fun. i never would've gotten it if it didn't have a demo so i could see if it's playable to me at all #and it's Challenging but i Can play it AND there's a lot of settings and accessibility features!!!!#so that if it does become too hard for me i can change that and that's a big comfort to me #this game is so pretty btw.

Sorry if you've gone over this before but I was curious as to what you'd think it would take for Leo to finally break in front of his brothers?

We’ve actually seen Leo break his persona multiple times throughout the series! And pretty much each and every time has a common theme present: his family being in danger.

#non au ask #probably the biggest break he has is immediately after Raph protects him from the Krang and forces him to leave Raph behind #not once in the series has Leo shown a greater horror than the moment he’s out of the pod knowing Raph was left behind #and he makes that break KNOWN #he shovels it down again soon enough but yeah #also noteworthy is his reaction to losing Gram Gram #and(less of a sad break but a still a break of his lackadaisical persona) when he IMMEDIATELY gets serious when Raph’s missing in the sewer #actually I think of Leo being serious about Raph missing in the sewers a lot #luckily (or not lol) for his mask these breaks happen mostly when everyone else is ALSO freaking out #so more focus is put on to the entire situation than simply Leo’s reaction to it #but yeah Leo loves his family SO MUCH so of course they’re consistently his breaking point #tbh tho all of them share that breaking point #cannot BELIEVE I didn’t mention it but his ‘I’m nothing without them’ speech ALSO HAPPENS WHEN HE THINKS HIS BROS ARE IN DANGER #it’s all fun and games until plot armor loses its durability!

#She's so cute <3 #WPP #Portal #Ellen McLain #If you haven't played through the audio commentary I would Absolutely recommend it it is So fun #I clicked out of curiosity - kind of just expecting like a movie's audio commentary y'know? Like a video that highlighted specific scenes #No it's just the whole game again but with trivia pop-ups! I love that!!#It reminded me so much of like trivia track or the pop up fun facts from special editions of movies I would watch as a kid #But you can play through them!! You have to click on them and they spin! I love that!!!#I always love hearing the design and development process - fascinating how the playtesters reacted to this new game!#We take it for granted now but yeah I imagine it would've been very confusing at the time #And I was like ''Well it was such a small team and Ms. McLain was such a large part of it - surely she'll have a few bubbles?''#She does lol - as soon as I got to her first one (it was a slow burn! They buried the lead with her lol I'm already invested!) I had to go #I saved-quit the game out of sheer excitement and giddiness lol I had to sleep on it before I was ready to come back #It is so cool to hear her natural voice ah <3 And the kinds of direction she was given! Other bubbles also talk about her vocal direction :)#Very cool! I wonder what TTS they used for reference :0 #But to hear her real laugh without the audio processing over and and she still sounds like GLaDOS! I mean of course she does but just jfdksl #That's /her/ laugh! They share a laugh! I wish Batman would fuck with the Joker more. I know he can't. Scratch, I know an important piece of their core dynamic is that he is above it, which opens the way to great contrasts when other characters (ie icon Terry Bats) do. But come on, it would be so easy. It would be free.

During a teamup in Gotham, Bats could dreamily remark that he likes Superman because he makes him laugh. What options does the clownfucker have now? Try to jealously kill fucking Superman or simply dive backwards into the Hudson River. The whole thing would take ten seconds of work, and I don't think there'd be collateral damage. Superman's already there.

#now of course this would have to be done on a completely random day offhandedly so no gotham rogue had any green or red K prepped...#hm ok i do see there are holes in this plan. and injustice really does make the world feel truly helpless before superman #so mabey i'm the dumb one to think it would all be fun and games to see joker try to show gay crime dominance to SUPERMAN #invulnerable superhunk #like you got no way out here dude. kys ig

An interesting little fun thing with team 7 is that you assume that Sakura's gonna, like, woobify and simplify Sasuke by putting him on a pedastal,cause her goal is centered around him and shes a 12 y/o fangirl so like of course her understanding of him is skewed cause she doesnt see him as a person, just an object of affection, right? She's can't get Sasuke, can't imprint on and/or traumabond with him like Naruto and Kakashi do. They don't see him with rose tinted glasses, because they've lived through their own Horrors and empathize with Sasuke's experience.

......right?

WRONG lmao!! They have too many ghosts!! Naruto's single-minded codependent ass won't get out of his own way long enough to see Sasuke for who he actually is, only able to empathize with the parts of his trauma Naruto relates to and not really capable of understanding him outside of the context of himself (because Sasuke is. His other half). And Kakashi is far too jaded to be fair to him!! He can't decide if Sasuke is gonna end up as a mini-him or a mini-Obito or maybe a mini-Itachi, but either way he ALSO is too traumatized to see Sasuke AS SASUKE.

meanehile SAKURA'S autistic ass may have dogshit empathy, but you know what she does have? A special interest in sasuke. Nothing better to do then give herself a degree in Uchihaisms. She can write character studies about him. she can read his soul. Whenever she says something about him she is right. Every fucking time! She is RIGHT!!!!

im sliding right into that kind of art slump where you cant get past drawing a few blocks of color without getting bored and frustrated already, your head is empty, theres nothing that makes your brain go OOOH! DRAW!

like everything is uninteresting and nothing matters- i know very well this feeling passes but i hate that it is now, again, when i have a little more time than usual AND want to do nothing but draw
