I've gotta say, before round 6 I was dull enough to believe Ivan was the most normal out of the cast. After round 6 it really dawned on me just how many times I've been given hints about his true nature. I never really took into account how much alien stage fucked up these kids until I got bitch slapped with Ivan in round 6 showing just how cracked in the head he is, and the most surprising? is that it was totally in character for him and so understandable. We all know some good and bads that we were taught since childhood, but Alnst cast? they were only taught how to behave how the aliens want them to and how to sing. Generally speaking, their way of thinking is abnormal to most. Inhuman, even. And that was a fact skipped over by some people, including myself. Now i'm hyper aware that alnst cast aren't super human and too not be so rash with theories like I was with Ivantill round so that I don't get my soul shattered thinking Hyuna and Mizi could actually duo against a facility already on high-alert and full of guards on the ready.

i keep thinking about the datamined conversation between halsin and minthara and what gets me about it is that if you side with halsin and turn minthara away, thats objectively the bad choice.
like at this point, you've rescued minthara from moonrise. you know now that she was being controlled to act against her will. you've gone to the trouble of rescuing her from her tormentors, and you've experienced what it felt like as they tried to destroy her mind. you know what will happen to her if you turn her away. and if you do, you're willingly condemning her to that fate. you've essentially allowed her to experience freedom, to regain her sense of self, only to tear that away from her again.
whereas if you side with minthara, and halsin leaves, that's the only consequence he experiences. that he's not a companion anymore. at this point, we've saved the grove, we've saved him, and we've lifted the shadow curse. we've helped him achieve what hes been hoping to do for over a century. leaving your party won't see him lose his free will. he can return to the grove and live his life.
the choice is essentially either condemn someone to a fate worse than death, knowing exactly what that entails vs not letting someone travel with you anymore. its pretty clear cut to me.
its just interesting to me that they've switched the morality of it around given that minthara is considered the 'evil' companion by so many.

It is kinda funny seeing people talk about Seungmin lately because he definitely has gotten more bold and confident for sure. He's also just getting opportunities to be perceived as an individual on his own as well for the first time in a while but it's still jarring to see people be like Aw he was always such a quiet goodie two shoes little nerd and it's like...... he was the one to leave and seek out his own vocal coach and blatantly talk about it, which of course lead to I.N and Lee Know also doing the same, he was the one to go on bubble and tell off sasaengs who used to camp outside their old dorm for invading members privacy but also because it effected other residents and staff at the complex, something that i'm certain upper management wouldnt have been happy about, and he wasn't curt or nice about it either. like he's never actually been a wallflower, he's always had a pretty strong backbone and seems to stick to his principals, its not really new.
