🥳🥳🥳🤯🤯🤯🥳🥳🥳😏😏😏😃😃😃😃😃
STOOOOOOOOOOOKED 😆😆😆😆😆
THEY'RE DOING A CHUCKY HOUSE I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER BEEN ON A YEAR THAT THEY DID A CHUCKY HOUSE??!! (though i did go that one year where he took over the Terror Tram lololol that was so much fun ☺️☺️☺️)
Also can we just appreciate them doing not just the Phantom of the Opera, but also Jekyll and Hyde, the Invisible Man, and the Hunchback of Notre Dame??!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Like yes they always do a classic Universal Monsters house, but it's usually some combination of like Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Bride of the Monster, the Wolfman, with something like Creature from the Black Lagoon or The Mummy thrown in every now and then.
THESE ARE ALL UNCOMMON ONES THEY'RE DOING THIS YEAR THOUGH, GOOD FOR THEM!! 👏👏👏🥳🥳🥳👏👏👏
Unrelated note, not super excited about the Terror Tram theme (like these mutated bugs who are people exterminators or something??) but I appreciate that they're doing something different, I'll give them credit for that 👍
#hhn#hhn 2023#shitpost lol 😆#can't wait can't wait lolololol 😆😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣#this is like the opposite of last year lol last year was almost all original houses whereas this year it's almost all#how would you call it#licensed houses??#pre-existing IPs??#i actually kinda like their originals though it's kinda cool to see what they come up with#and it's kinda cool since it's not based on a movie/tv show you don't know what's gonna happen lol#but the pre-existing ones are cool too especially if you're a fan of the franchise 🖤🖤🖤#it's really cool to see one of your favorite movies come to life like that ☺️☺️☺️🖤🖤🖤#but last year they had one that was like this 1920s hotel that was cursed or haunted or something i forget lol but it was hella cool lol#i kinda like those ones#like the mystery/noir kinda style#knotts berry farm did a really cool one like that awhile back#the premise was this detective was tracking down this serial killer who was basing all their murders off of edgar allan poe stories/poems#while you waited in the queue line to go through the house they were playing these true crime documentary-style videos about the murders#it was really cool they did a lil extra like that it added to the ambiance lol 😆#also i know it's doubtful but i reeeally hope they do some sort of trick/special effect/animatronic for the Invisible Man#and not just#y'know#some dude in a trench coat and hat with a bunch of bandages on his face :/#like can you imagine if you see that and then this dude pulls off the bandages and then there's just *nothing there* 🤯🤯🤯😱😱😱#they're not gonna do that though 😮‍💨 but it's still cool that he's being included in the big show lololol 👍👍👍😤😤😤👍👍👍

Losing My Cool
Pairing: rockstar!joel miller x actress!reader
Author’s note: shortie short but I’ve already got another part half finished 🤠 fic named after this song
Summary: What do they say about all good things? [1.1k]
Warnings: yearning idiots, probably incorrect interview technique, idk what else
Tumblr media
A PA brings you over to your mark and instructs you to stay there until your name gets called, which seems simple enough, but she stays nearby to make sure you don't wander. It feels a little silly to always have to be babysat, but you brush it off, smoothing your hands down your blue dress and taking deep breaths. You've done late-night shows before, but they still make you nervous, especially since you know just how many people watch them. Ryan sent you a video of Elizabeth sitting in front of the TV, watching an ad for tonight's show, and cheering when she saw your name and face. So, who knows who else might be watching if your five-year-old goddaughter is?
You can hear the introductory remarks, laughter, and applause that come with them, but you miss the voices whisper-arguing behind you. They die down by the time your brain wraps around the sounds and decide to stay focused. And you do. You run through what you want to say about the movie, fun anecdotes, and easy ways to skate around questions about Joel. You feel settled and prepared until familiar hands wrap around your middle, making you jump and turn in his arms.
"You're gonna get me in trouble," you say, and Joel smirks.
"I had to convince the production assistant to let me come kiss my girlfriend for good luck."
"You're getting fast and loose with that term, huh?"
"D'you want me to stop?" He asks, his thumbs swiping over your hips, and you shake your head.
"I kinda like it."
"Good," Joel says as the band starts playing, and you push at his shoulders. He quickly kisses you, his hand lingering on your lower back for a second longer than necessary, before rushing away with a mischievous look on his face. "Kick some ass!'
You laugh at the sentiment as your name gets called from the front of the stage, and the curtain opens enough to let you walk through. You smile and wave to the audience members as you walk over and shake Jimmy's hand. "Thank you so much for being here," he says so only you can hear, and you smile. The band vamps until you sit in the plush chair beside his desk and accept the applause when he repeats your name.
"It's so great to see you! You look fantastic!" He says, and you smile as you run your hands over the skirt of your dress.
"Thank you! I'm so happy to be here."
"Well, we are very lucky to have you. You've been a very, very busy lady these past few years. When was the last time you were in New York?" He asks, and you puff out your cheeks as you think.
"At least four or five years."
"And you went to school out here, right?"
"Yeah, I graduated from NYU. I was lucky enough to earn a full ride on a merit-based scholarship which doesn't happen very often, and once I graduated, I did a few projects here in the city before getting my first movie deal out in LA."
"That's amazing! And since then, you have been nonstop. I mean, you are everywhere. And you have a new movie coming out called Red Dirt Girl," he says as he holds up a picture of the movie poster, and the audience cheers at the image. You reach out to boop Lilly's nose and feel yourself smiling so hard that your cheeks hurt, but you're so happy. For once, it feels genuine. "What was it like to work on this film?"
"It was just the opportunity of a lifetime. We filmed out west around the Colorado-New Mexico border, and I hadn't even been out there, so it was so fun getting to know that area and working with the cast and crew. I mean, it was just like coming to work and having fun for twelve hours a day, and then we all lived in the same building, so we would just keep hanging out, and we got to be really close."
"And the girl who plays your sister, Lilly Porter, is just phenomenal for someone as young as she is. Did you find yourself getting protective of her?"
"Oh, absolutely. Lilly just turned sixteen about a month ago, but when we were filming, she had just turned fourteen, so she was really young, and I hadn't worked with someone that young that closely. And we had a day where we just sat down and talked for hours, and she's such an old soul, and she's so smart, but, I mean, we both know how hard the industry can be. So, I set her up with people I trust and gave her advice I wish someone had given me. I got really close with her family, and, of course, they are fantastic people as well. So, it was a learning curve for both of us, but she is an amazing, beautiful person, and I'm so lucky that I got to work with her. I totally consider her a little sister now."
"Which is ironic considering that you guys butt heads so much in this movie."
"Oh, yes, we do."
"Let's take a look at this clip here," he says as a short clip from the movie comes up on the screen behind you. Lilly's character, Sabrina, is arguing with your character, Jo, about getting sent home from school because of her behavior. Lilly perfectly portrays the annoying little sister as she stomps through the house, making sarcastic comments and driving you up the wall. The clip ends with Sabrina telling Jo that she's just like their mother, which obviously, hits Jo right where it hurts. You smile and clap along with the audience as the clip ends. "Wow! I mean, just fantastic! Were those scenes hard to shoot?"
"The scenes where we were fighting were really hard to film because I just love her so much, and I never wanted to yell at her, but Lilly was absolutely brilliant because she would do a new thing each time we shot the scene that would completely throw me off. So, like, one time she knocked over a chair or slammed the door so hard that pictures fell off the wall, and it would startle me each time, and then it was pretty easy to access that anger after that." You laugh, remembering the time you accidentally did raise your voice because she scared the shit out of you.
"And did the director tell her to do that?"
"No, she just did it! And Peter, the director, was just sitting there like," You cross your arms over your chest and lean back in the chair, copying the famous Peter Jankowski slouch, and nod, pretending to chew gum. "And like, that's it! Which is great! You always want a director that will let you try things, but I was given no warning." Jimmy laughs at the story and seamlessly transitions into a commercial break.
The rest of the interview goes smoothly, with you promoting the movie and even playing a game where you had to answer New York City trivia facts. Appearances like this can actually be really fun when they're done right, and you always have a good time when you're on the Tonight Show. As you're leaving the stage, Jimmy tells you that you and Joel have to get dinner with him and his wife the next time you're in the city, and you agree, knowing that it will probably never happen.
You're excited to see what Joel will say about how things went, but when you go backstage, he's nowhere to be found. You don't find him immediately in the wings where you left him or in your dressing room. You almost ask the PA if she saw him leave, but she's dealing with five million other things, and you doubt she would've noticed even if he did. You furrow your brows as you fish your phone from your purse and type out a quick message to Joel.
Hey! Where are you? I just got done.
The message delivers even though his phone is on Do Not Disturb. You think about calling him but figure he might've just gone back to the hotel room before you. Paparrazi gets pictures of you leaving the studio alone and shouts questions at you, wanting to know where Joel is. You don't answer. You just get in the car and try to get back to the hotel as fast as possible. Truthfully, you're a little embarrassed. You looked around for him like a lost puppy backstage, and now you're just dutifully returning to the hotel to look for him. It also doesn't help that you were photographed arriving with him but not leaving with him. You can feel Melanie's migraine from here.
When you scan into the hotel room, all of Joel's stuff is gone. His clothes, shoes, and even his razor have all disappeared. You were there for an hour, maybe less, and he just left? Your phone buzzes in your purse, and you quickly pull it out to see a text from Joel.
Ellie had an emergency. On the first flight back. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you.
You sigh, plop down on the now too-big bed, and kick off your heels.
No worries. Take care of your baby. I'll see you when I get back.
Thank you. I owe you.
You don't owe me anything, Super Dad. Just text me when you get home, and keep me updated. Let me know if you or Sarah need anything.
He starts typing something before deleting it and then typing again. For a moment, you two stare at the same screen, waiting for the other to say something even though he's at the airport and you're in an empty hotel room. Your heart clenches in your chest as he types and types and types, just for the bubble to disappear as fast as he did.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon | S1E2 Thoughts
⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️ do not read below the cut unless you’re okay with spoilers
Positive Thoughts
The opening scenes in Paris at the start of the outbreak? Genuinely got my heart pumping and my adrenaline rushing. I was actually freaked out. I wish TWD would have shown the outbreak actually happening more than they did. It would've been really interesting to see how each character ended up at the quarry, going all the way back to season 1 of TWD, but that's irrelevant lol
Camerawork is crazy good??? I mean, I don't really know anything about cameras but I thought that there were some really cool dynamic shots, especially in the flashbacks.
Isabelle is growing on me a LOT. I am so glad she is turning out to be her own character so far. I mean, I don't completely trust her because I think she definitely has her own agenda (can't really blame her), but I like her character. She hasn't annoyed me once which is crazy because even DARYL has annoyed me a few times in this episode lol
I loved the little detail of Sylvie being at the abbey when Isabelle arrives with Lily. Just a cool little detail where we see a little bit of Sylvie's story, too
The entire concept of Laurent being born to a walker is cool as hell and idc what anyone says. I wonder if him being born to a walker actually has some kind of effect on him. Of course, my first thought goes to maybe he is immune or something, or he carries the cure to the virus in his blood. I am so excited to see how that pans out. Idc if it's "ripping off" TLOU (I don't think it is tbh)
Speaking of Laurent, I have a newfound appreciation for him. He's so cute and sweet, and I felt bad for him when the children were picking on him
Lou's group is SO COOL. I love that they're a little group of children who raised themselves. Kinda reminds me of Jocelyn's kids from season 9 of TWD, but less evil. MUCH less evil. Not evil at all, actually. They remind me of the Lost Boys from the movie Hook, which is based on Peter Pan. That dinner scene was especially reminiscent of that for me
Daryl being undercover as a priest LOLIONGJWKDS
Daryl has some amazing sassy/cute moments in this episode. I think my personal favorite is when he loudly slurps down the soup at the dinner table. I also loved the little detail of Daryl starting to eat before everyone else/before they said grace, signifying how Daryl doesn't really have good table manners (which I love). It's so cute when he starts saying the prayer with food already in his mouth lol
And Norman's acting in this episode was once again so good. There's a scene when they're watching the TV where the camera slowly zooms in on Daryl. His smile begins to fade and you can just see in his eyes how much he misses home, and how much he wishes he could be with his family, even Merle, who he is probably thinking about, too, since he used to watch the show with him.
DARYL USING A MORNINGSTAR DARYL USING A MORNINGSTAR DARYL USING A MORNINGSTAR DARYL USING A MORNINGSTAR DARYL US--
That annoying American was slightly entertaining. Mostly annoying but slightly entertaining as well
Daryl and Laurent are very cute. I love how Daryl sort of relates to him in that they were both outcasts as children
Negative Thoughts
There are a few things Daryl does in this episode that rubbed me the wrong way just a tad bit. Of course I still love him but I just don't understand some of his decisions lol. Like when he let the mule go instead of just getting off his ass and taking out those walkers. He could've done it! Especially with the help of Isabelle and Sylvie. They probably could've taken out that herd without sacrificing the mule. Just kind of a stupid decision imo. Unnecessarily cruel too. I also didn't get why Daryl locked Lou in that shed. Kinda not cool? He could've just said, "hey, you stay back and I'll handle this." I didn't really see the point in having him do that :/ and he lies a lot to Lou and the kids in order to get what he wants. I mean, I get that he doesn't owe anything to these kids, but still... just seems a little callous. It's giving Carol vibes lol. They're basically making Daryl do things the way Carol does them—by lying, manipulating, and being cruel to children. I like Daryl because of his kindness, not this weird deceitfulness that he has going on suddenly. Again, I get that he is in a foreign place and these are all strangers to him so why should he care, but it just really doesn't seem like our Daryl. Other than that, I liked Daryl a lot in this episode, but there were just some little things I didn't vibe with
This episode did seem to veer away from the main plot quite a bit. I wonder if Lou's group will return later to help Daryl and the others in his group, or if they were just a one and done storyline. While I loved this little adventure, it did seem to not really add to the overall arc, and the little scene at the end with Codron walking around the abbey did seem a bit shoehorned just to remind us of the actual plot, but who knows?
Neither Positive Nor Negative Thoughts
So lets talk about the bed scene. Idk. I didn't hate it because I didn't see anything romantic there between Daryl and Isabelle, BUT it was a little like... can't you guys just have there be two beds lol. I really just think it's baiting, once again. I don't feel any romantic connection between them, and I don't think the show is necessarily trying to get that across to us, but I do think that they're like "well if people do think this is a romance, it will get them to continue watching the show and see if they get together!" So basically I think it's just a way to get people interested, but I don't think anything will happen. I think they will stay friends, otherwise it would be very awkward, at least from the way their relationship is so far
That's about all I have to say I think! Thanks for reading my thoughts. Hoping to get Chapter 2 of Begin Again out before the next episode, but no promises <3

Omg I am so freaking excited for the next chapter of slow down (you’re doing fine). Like frothing at the mouth, jumping up and down and squealing loud enough to scare my roommates type of excitement. I love, love, love that fanfic and it makes so unbelievably happy to just read the sample, especially from Bradley’s perspective. It’s so much fun to learn a little more about Hangman, Rooster, Ice and Maverick every chapter. I am dying for the reveal at some point that Maverick is in fact The Godfather and that the COMPACFLT is Maverick’s husband. Hangman and the other Daggers won’t know what hit them, they are so clueless.
Also I just recently discovered you other fic ( sometime I feel like) a monkey pilot and I am once again in love with your characterization of Bradley and how supportive Ice and Maverick are. It’s such a beautiful story with so much emotion and I don’t know how I managed to miss seeing it for so long. I feel so bad for Jake as well because it must feel like he’s some how switched realities with all the changes that are hitting him right now, but I also kind of want to punch him for being such a dick.
Finally, I just have one quick question. I noticed that you head-cannon that Maverick is older than Ice and was wondering why that was? I am not against it or anything I am just curious to see how other people determine ages for characters when they are not officially stated in the original movie or book. For movies and tv shows, I just usually base it on the actor’s age unless this is like wildly off for some reason.
Oh my god I'm so sorry it's taking so long, adhd and life hits you at the worst moment I'm afraid...
this is going to be a technical spoiler but I'll just say that there's part two of the series that will be called I took the good times (I'll take the bad times) that will show the sixteen weeks after slow down and Bradley and Jake navigating how to actually be together -- this is where the funny family meeting stuff and first breakdowns would happen.
there will be a small 5+1 fic about Mav and Ice that's, well, that's the summary: five times Ice waited for Mav and one time Mav was ready for him. will be called we have all the time in the world (all the love). Because, a bit of a spoiler even if it was alluded in slow down, Ice and Mav haven't actually gotten together until Bradley was, like, eleven in this 'verse
also i'll say I'm glad you're enjoying monkey pilot! that fic is my ugly child and honestly, I have not expected such warm reception for it... I think I'm incapable of not writing Mav as a parental figure and since I'm also incapable of killing off Ice, he's going to be babytrapped in most of my fics 🤷‍♂️
as for Mav and Ice's age, I either headcanon them as of the same age (born same year) with Mav having his birthday in September and Ice in November/December, or that Mav is actually a year older. I think this is a cultural thing since in Poland some people believe the month you're born would define your personality. It's especially more common in the region I'm from and present mostly in the more superstitious older generation - I was mostly raised by my grandma and still kinda believe that people born in Sep are more temperamental, impulsive, wild but also fiercely loyal and people born Nov/Dec are more cool-headed, calculating and goal-orientated. It doesn't make much sense I'm afraid, it's just me finding the months suitable to their personalities?? As for the 'Mav is older', I assumed that could be a possibility as it's implied that he went to the OCS after college (either in the top gun novel or the movie??) since he wasn't able to get into USNA and I thought that could set him back a year -- and since he seems to have the same amount of experience as the rest of the NAs and RIOs, I thought he might actually be older.
Thank you for your kind, kind words, you don't even know how nice it feels to read your asks or comments. Hope you're doing well 💙

Okay. So you like superheroes. So, could you please recap Flashpoint for me? I know it's important, and basically a reboot, but I have no idea what happens in it
So I don't actually read many comics but I read up on stuff alot and watch basically every animated movie and tv show and this is the structure of what Flashpoint is about from what I understand.
So Flash one day figures out he can run so fast he can go back in time. So he uses that to go back in time to save his mom from being murdered (his mom was killed by somebody yellow and his dad got blamed and went to jail for life) he succeeds but upon returning to the present he finds that everything is radically different (butterfly effect type of thing) and he also doesn't have his powers anymore (in this timeline he never had the accident that turned him into the Flash) so now he has to try and fix things with Batman's help (except Batman is Thomas Wayne in this timeline) they try and recreate the accident but it fails and Flash is severely injured but they try it one last time even though it would kill him if it failed again and it succeeds. Then they get involved in some big war between Atlantis and Themyscyra (I think that's how you spell that? Wonder Woman's home) and during this Flash meets Eobard Thawne, who's dressed exactly like him except his colors are reversed (yellow where red would be and red where yellow would be) and turns out Thawne (known as Reverse-Flash) is from the far future where he became jealous of past superheroes (especially the flash) so he travelled back in time to kill Barry's mother (remember the guy in yellow?) So Flash defeats him and goes back to stop himself from saving his mother returning the timeline to normal, kinda.
From what I gather after Flash "fixed" everything there was still alot of stuff that was changed, most things were obviously the same but little things could be different like certain people may have not died or have slightly different backstories. This was how DC rebooted their main universe.
I'm going based mostly on my offhand knowledge of the event so I may be missing parts or misremembering things but that's the gist of it, you honestly don't need to know alot about it anymore I think they've rebooted since then again as well. So while it's a cool story that's pretty much all it is anymore. It's by no means required knowledge

Springys guide to finding new songs (spongs)
I was inspired by @pastamansta's post on finding new movies and according to my last fm account I have 24,576 scrobbles which is quite a bit. So I will give some tips on how to find new stuff as well as general tips to listening to music. Note I am more of a songs guy than an album/disography guy but I will try to give tips for that kinda stuff too.
Finding new music
Spotify
Most of my music discoveries come from spotify, so I will list tips for that first.
First, don't limit yourself to discover weekly/that weird AI DJ thing they have now. Find some more playlists to listen to! Here's ones I have saved on my discover folder, for example.
Tumblr media
As you can see, not only do I have spotify's Discover Weekly, but I also have three based on record labels, one based on a random radio station I once found, two reddit ones (rip reddit), and one based on a music review website I like.
There's also websites that can hook into your spotify account and make your music discovery more interesting.
Skilley is a website that has sadly locked a lot of their functions behind a paywall over the years. But the functions that are still free are very good, most importantly, the search function to find new songs based on old favorites.
Obscurify is a website that checks how obscure your tastes are, then recommends a few songs based on your tastes. Pretty fun.
Radionewify is a website that claims to find new songs you haven't heard yet based on your tastes. I think its pretty accurate.
Sort your music is what I use for my discovery playlists. I like to first make things alphabetical, use sort your music to make each alphabetical playlist go from most energetic song to least, then save it all in one big playlist. Because I'm too organized for my own good.
Spotify dedup finds duplicate songs in your playlists so you never have to listen to a duplicate song ever again.
I also suggest making one playlist for your "top favorite songs" to add and remove from over time. This has helped tremendously in my discovering.
(Online) radio stations
Sometimes old school is cool! If you don't know where to start listening to radio, see if you can listen to your local college's radio station. Somehow, colleges tend to have the best stuff.
But if that isn't an option, online radio stations are your next bet. There's a ton of databases where you can search and gain a ton based on your favorite genres. A lot of them are local radio stations!
I curated a bookmarked folder of some databases/stations, so I will list some links of ones I checked out and can confirm have good stuff.
tunein | jango | accuradio | streema | radio.net | laut.fm | onlineradiobox.com | somafm
Now you may wonder "why not iheartradio/siriusxm"? I can't tell you to not listen to those, since I tend to default to iheartradio when I am doing chores and I am unsure what to listen to, but their selection tends to be extremely limited compared to the indie stations you can find online. Plus they are huge companies, so it's good to branch out and listen to the smaller stations.
Listen to some stations! You may find some songs you love, or at least have an interesting experience by the end of the day.
Youtube/Xite music
What the hell is xite music, you may ask. Well my friends xite is...vevo's app on roku. Why they renamed their app is anyone's guess. Besides iheart, when I am cleaning, and don't know what to listen to, I default to Xite and have found some good stuff from it. They tend to repeat a lot of the same songs, a ton, but also come out with the occasional surprise.
TV Shows + the shazam app
TV series writers know their BOPS. I found so many songs off of shows it's insane. Even my guilty pleasure America's got Talent got me some bops. Rarest event of all 4 of these those.
Listening Tips
Don't be afraid to admit you no longer like a song/artist/genre
As I get older, I realize I like a lot of songs/genres/artists a lot less than I did when I was younger, and that's ok! For example, I used to be really into vaporwave during 2018 - 2019, but now I can't stand most of it. I wonder why I liked it a lot of the time! There's still some vaporwave songs I still cherish, but most of it is not for me, and that's okay!
2. Don't be afraid of getting outside your comfort zone
Initially, I stuck to only indie/alternative/pop music, but decided to branch out to other genres I knew very little of and found myself surprised by how much I either liked what I found or how much influence those genres had onto other genres. Try to find music from different eras and different genres, you may like what you hear, or at least learn more about the music you do like from the experience.
3. Don't be afraid to take "music breaks"
It's okay to not listen to new music for a little while to relisten to old favorites or listen to things that aren't music such as podcasts, youtube videos, tv series, or nothing at all! Sometimes I have troubles with this mindset myself, but I found taking music breaks makes me more excited to find new music later on rather than feeling like I have to like it's my "job".
4. Spice up listening to albums to make it more fun
When discovering new albums or relisting to old favorites, find ways to spice it up to make it fun and invigorating each time. My favorite things to do are take walks, do chores, or mute a movie or tv series and see how that album syncs to what's on screen. I found it a lot more fun to listen to albums this way than to scroll mindlessly online and listen to them. Plus it helps add more perspective to the activity your doing while your listening, especially if its a movie/TV series. I am not sure how, but it helps me find little details or figure out weak spots in movies.
5. Don't be afraid of being a "songs guy" like me.
I love songs more than full discographies most of the time, and that's ok. If you find discographies tiring like I do, don't feel left out because everyone's doing tier lists and stuff. Instead share your favorite songs with others, talk about them, and maybe if you have enough songs that share an artist, then try to see if their discography is worth it. If you decide you like their hits more than their whole, that's okay! At least you gave it a decent chance, and hey, maybe some of their fans might agree.
So there you have it. Feel free to ask me if you have questions. I will try my best to answer, usually I am not this wordy, but I like songs lol.

Did you base the catalyst vampires off of other vampires in the media? Or, whats some catalyst universe specific vampire “quirks” or design choices? Lol sorry, got brain rot
the vampires in catalyst aren't really based off of any particular piece of media. they're sort of a strange amalgamation of every vampire au i've ever read, any tv shows or movies (aka twilight and first kill), plus my own little quirky details for the sake of plot.
any of the details i'm going to list below are catalyst specific according to me, but if anyone else has ever done them that's cool, i just didn't know.
vampires can go 2 years without drinking a drop of blood before they die of starvation, similar to how humans can go 2 weeks without food, just elongated to match a vampire's lifespan
most vampires feed once every month, which is less than twilight (i think) and most other vampire au's i've read, although i don't think many of them had specific hunger schedules. oh yeah it's also less than in the sims 4, if the vampire pack counts as vampire media lol
vampires aren't immortal. i gave them an age limit of 1000 because immortality is overrated anyway plus death is kinda nice sometimes. gives you a time limit. idk there was vsauce video about it that i watched once and haven't really stopped thinking about.
humans cannot be turned into vampires. if i were to implement that, though, the turning process would be drain all human blood, replace with a bit of vampire blood, yipee ur dead but also not, which just wasn't conventional and wouldn't be used in plot so i threw that whole concept out the window
vampires sleep during the day and wake up when the sun sets. i've read this in another vampire au, but am including it in this list anyway because twilight went "yeah vampires can chill during the day." however, if catalyst vampires could go out in the sun, i think all the sun would do is drain their energy and make them tired lol
for the first 40 years of a full vampire's life (20 for half-vamps), they can't fully see. i have another ask somewhere on here explaining how the process works, as well as other details.
fangs showing up only when needed isn't super original i don't think, but the whole warming of the skin when hungry thing is just a catalyst thing, i'm pretty sure.
also, like, vampires with eating disorders. i've never seen that anywhere else lol.
vampires being able to give birth (technically, minus all the issues that come with it) is also a catalyst thing i think??? idk i've only seen the first twilight movie so if vampire birth is in there.... whoops
vampires being entirely dead pretty much. no working organs, breathing isn't necessary, can't eat human food (unless the specific food holds essentially zero nutritional value), are also things i haven't seen in au's or media
vampires are just straight up a completely different species; they're not a subspecies of human. now, this would be a little weird for vampire-human... uh... breeding (i'm so sorry) but since vampires look so much like humans it's not really a big deal i guess
long story short i pretty much just went "what if we had humans and gave them fangs and a really long lifespan and then we gave one of them a shit ton of mental illness" and ran with that.
as for design choices, they're very similar to the typical vampire: pale skin, human-looking, fangs sometimes. eye colour doesn't really change if they're hungry, their pupils just get a little wider. skin tones can range from white as white can be to a dark grey, and eye colour can be anything, it just depends on the vampire and their genes, however the fuck genes work (i didn't take biology lol)
i've been meaning to write all this vampire lore out for a while, so i may be missing a few things in my list. catalyst (just like syzygy, another c!beeduo au of mine) was supposed to be a 2k one shot containing a silly little idea i had. instead, it bursted into this big, multi-chapter story, which isn't something i do often, so little things like specific details about the setting and all that other stuff aren't really thought out, because initially they really didn't need to be and i was too busy working out the plot to go back over and add those things. i'm a bit of a mess when it comes to writing longer pieces tbh.
now while catalyst may be my magnum opus, i am still– at my very core– just a silly little guy writing about minecraft men.
all the love and support has been insane, though, and i have appreciated it more than anything. it's the thing that keeps me going honestly. all the asks have helped me develop the world just a little bit more, and the insight i've been able to get, like how well my foreshadowing worked and how suspenseful i made each chapter, has helped tons as well.
the mere concept of people actively perceiving the things i put out onto the internet is crazy enough to me, so to have people thinking about my silly little fic and brainrotting about it makes me feel a little less silly (dw anon, i am also heavily brainrotting).
ty for the ask, and sorry for the essay of a response. the only vampire media i've consumed is twilight, first kill, and about 2 or 3 other fics, all from different fandoms (i'm not a big media consumer tbh), but i hope this suffices :]

The Game (Kotesu & Barnaby)
"How did you get me dragged into this, Kotesu?" sighed Barnaby.
"Believe me, Bunny, I'm still trying to figure it out myself," said Kotesu. "So, can you put it in."
"Okay, let's do it."
So, Barnaby goes to Kotesu and puts in... the wires for the PlayMaster X game system.
A few days ago, Kotesu accidentally sighed up to be a tester for a new video game. Agnes and Lloyds were really furious about it. But when they found out that the new game was based on Hero TV, they changed their minds and decided to let Kotesu test the game's authenticity... And they told Barnaby to help him do it.
"Because you're partners," Agnes said.
And so, the game and it console were delivered to Kotesu's place. But since Kotesu never played a video game in a long time, he asked Barnaby to also help him set it up.
"That should do it," said Barnaby.
"Good," said Kotesu.
He turned on the game, adjusted the system, and put on the game.
"So what kind of game is this?" asked Barnaby. "I know it's based on Hero TV, but that's just it."
"The designers told me everything," said Kotesu. "Hero TV Brawlers is a knock-'em up fighting game where we play as heroes and beat up the bad guys and even each other in arena battles. Not very accurate since we're not allowed to fight each other, but I think they just wanted to make this game as exciting, fun, and cool as possible. Since we're testers, they said that all of the features have already been unlocked."
"I wonder if they'll let us keep the features after the official release."
"No. They said that as soon as we finish testing it, we have to send the game back and wait until the game is in stores to buy a copy and unlock them ourselves... But they did say I can keep the console."
"I guess that's a consolation. The PlayMaster X is the latest after the PlayMaster IX. It can connect to the Internet allowing have video chats, play music, make presentations, watch shows and movies, and can even get live events like sports and of course Hero TV. It can even connect to your phone."
"I take it you have one."
"No. I was never much of a gamer. Back in the orphanage, someone got us the PlayMaster VII. The other kids asked me to play, but kept losing because the controls were complicated. I only know about the PlayMaster X from what I've read online."
"Well, I was told that the controls for this for this were made a little more simpler for new gamers. So it should be easy for both of us."
"Have you played video games before?"
"When I was a kid, yes. I was there when they released the GameSphere. I remember asking my mom to get me one. She said if I want one, it'll have to be with my own money."
"Did you ever get it?"
"Believe it or not, yes. I did some odd jobs around town to earn the money. It wasn't easy since everyone was a little reluctant about hiring a NEXT. But I convinced them to give me a chance. I even ended up using my powers in some places. In the end, all the hard work paid off."
"I see. How fun was it? The GameSphere was discontinued when I was still a baby."
"I didn't get to play it much. Mom told me to share with Muramasa and he ended up playing it the most. Then again, I didn't really mind. Actually, I don't I ever liked playing it. I just wanted GameSphere because I was afraid I'd be left out. Kinda silly now that I think about."
"It's good you wanted to follow the lastest trends. I've been a little up to hitting up the newest styles."
"I can see that. In the end, I decided to just let him have it. Besides, I couldn't find any room in my room for it. I learned that sometimes, you just can't get swept up in the latest fads unless you know you may like it."
"I see. Though, it never hurts to try so. Although... I think there was that time I got caught up in that craze involving some new haircare products."
"I remember that... Your hair turned pink. You really did look like a cute little bunny!"
Kotesu was laughing hard which made Barnaby frown... But he was happy Kotesu was having fun.
"I guess it goes to show you that no one's perfect," Kotesu continued. "You can't be anyone but you. You are beautiful in your own way... Unless you have to keep your identity a secret as a hero."
"... Everyone already knows you're Wild Tiger." Then Barnaby smiles knowing he and his partner have a lot in common.
Then, the game announces that it started.
"Okay, let's get to it!" said Kotesu, picking up the controller and searching the character selection. "Let's see. It looks like they have alternative costume features, too. Hey, my character even has my old costume. We probably shouldn't let Saito know about this... No way, they even have me dress up a Mr. Legend!? That's so awesome! They even have Mr. Legend!"
"I wonder what my character is like," said Barnaby.
He goes to his character on the game and looks through the costume selection... One of them was Barnaby's suit from when he was brainwashed by Albert Maverick. Barnaby looked a bit grim.
"... Actually, think I'll try that customizable character."
"Probably a good idea," Kotesu said, also looking grim at that suit.
With that, the partners test the new game for the rest of the day.
The end.
1 Day Left!
Tomorrow is the big day. We're all just so excited to see what will happen to our heroes. I know I am.
This Buddy Week was so great. It's almost like Tiger & Bunny Appreciation Week, which I couldn't hold this year because of Tiger & Bunny's 10th Anniversary and the premier of the second series. But I'll see if I can try again in the future.
Let's believe HEROES

tagged by @zaegreus💜 (miss talking with you, I should come bother you more and thanks for the tag, I love these stuffs, I'm just hellishly slow)
last song/album: I'm lately going through many mood-vibe types of playlist (mostly villains or green-nature-medievalcore playlist).
Last song song was probably Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa) by Jagwar Twin, cool to vibe on. (Scratch this, 'cause suddenly wanted to listen to Toss A Coin to Your Witcher, by Joey Batey, aka Jaskier in The Witcher.)
favorite color: Green and purple are the base, but I love everything on the shade from green to blue and from purple to blue, I like pale colors and dark colors more than bring ones (pale pink and dark green for exemple).
sweet, spicy or savory: Sweet, spicy AND savory together. Like a good bao with sriracha sauce or wasabi and sweet soy sauce or a bag of chips, choco-biscuits and sriracha, or pineapple pizza with sriracha- How dare you judge me???
last tv show: Lately I had a "medical show" craving, rewatched Dr House and gave a try to Grey's Anatomy, but those are just the show running on background as I do stuff. Real show I watched were Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss 💜
last film: Damn, sounds like years since I watched a movie... I need to check- Maybe it was Jennifer's Body...?
last thing i looked up online: uh..? I think it was 'Dark Academia' for my thesis research...
relationship status: I'd say I am a lucky one. I think there's many ways of love in a life, and I am blessed with two healthy and sincere kinds of love.
current obsession: Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, kinda, but mostly Baldur's Gate 3 and DnD universe. I also try to connect again to my thesis theme (Dark Academia) and more largely, I find the creative inspiration again, drawing and painting again and more often, feeling good enough about it to share it. It makes me very happy. I don't know ppl to tag so, see this? please yourself, I am curious to know ppl

Hi again, friend! I'm the anon who asked if I could talk with you about Julieta. I'm autistic and this movie has become my hiperfixation and Julieta my comfort character so I can't help but take it personally when people come from her but I feel better now. I still feel like I could talk about her four hours. And about the whole movie! I just love these characters so much.
One of the comments that made me angry yesterday was that some people kept saying that Julieta is actually a bad mother because she didn't care about her other daughters since she never interacted with them but we don't know how their relationship is??? The movie was about Mirabel and we only see scenes with her in it, so they didn't focus on the others relationships but that doesn't mean she didn't love them as much as Mirabel?? Even in the art book the director says her kids (plural) are her number one priority so I thought it was unfair to say she didn't care about Isabela and Luisa. And yeah both Isabela and Luisa were going through stuff but I think the point of their songs is that they were hiding it?? No one knew Luisa was feeling so pressured and I actually think Julieta had felt the same but because of the generational trauma, she just sees it as how it's supposed to be (but that's another conversation) and Isabela, I don't know if this is wrong take on my part but I don't think anyone was forcing her to marry Mariano? Because no one knew she didn't want to! I wonder what would have happened if she said something because the director said on Twitter that actually Alma didn't like Agustin for Julieta but Julieta loved him so she still married him it wasn't always what Alma wanted then.
But yeah I think people assume things based on the events of the movie but forget that no only the movie was about Mirabel and that it was only a couple of (very stressful) days so what happened there doesn't dictate how the characters are all the time, including the relationships they have with each other. One of the reasons I would do anything for a tv series is just that, to see all the characters interacting more. The kids with their parents, the cousins, the siblings, the triplets!!! I would love to see more of the relationship between Julieta and Pepa! The only thing we got was Pepa telling her the secret about Mirabel and the vision and then calling for her help after casita was destroyed but I would love to see how they get along on a daily basis. I would love to believe they're really close, and also I imagine their relationship is very different to their individual relationships with Bruno. There's so many posibilities that could be explored and there could be fluff and angst and flashbacks and so much character development!
I just feel like I just consumed everything there is out there about the movie and now I just want more!!! I wish there had been more promotion for it with the voice actors and the people bts so we could get more insight into the characters and their lives. I want to know more about their rooms! I was watching the kind of deleted scenes on YouTube and in the one with the powerless madrigals they show Dolores's room when she was supposed to have Julieta's powers and it was like a lab! It was so cool, I wonder if the concept would still be the same for Julieta. Also in that same scene they show Pepa with a different power and she's sooo different, still an amazing character but I'm glad we have the version we have now.
But now I just want more content! For now I just have rewatched the movie a crazy amount of times, both in Spanish and English, and have seen and read everything oficial there is out there so my next step is fanfic, since I went to look for more content on Twitter and TikTok but there's many different opinions and it's kinda driving me crazy a little bit so time for fanfiction!! I haven't searched any but I guess most of it will be about Camilo or Bruno so I'm sure there won't be much focused on the triplets or the entire family in general but I also seen that there's amazing people out there like you that do write for the characters I love so I can wait to read those!!!
Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble over here! It feels good since I got no one to talk to about this in real life! You're amazing, hope you're having an amazing day!!
Yeah that’s pretty much the only critique I’ve seen of her as well, and like you’ve said, the movie takes place over 3 days & 2 nights, it’s a very short glimpse into their lives. It’s not great that Isabela and Luisa probably were very good at hiding how they felt, cause I mean that is a sign that somewhere in their lives they learned that that was the best thing to do. It’s clear they’ve all been taught not to be upset about what they’re given by the miracle, so when parts of their lives are impacted negatively because of those gifts, they probably feel really selfish for thinking badly about it. Luisa is at a point where she literally can’t say no to people, and while Isabela may not be “forced” to do anything, she definitely still feels trapped. But they could never complain, because complaining means looking ungrateful, and that seems worse to them than just shoving their feelings down. I’m incredibly doubtful that Julieta would’ve taught them this, but Julieta still listens to her own mother (who knows, it’s not impossible that Julieta may feel trapped in it all as well), which sets an expectation and that can be part of how these problems develop and last through generations. Julieta does love all of her kids, but just like any mother she’s bound to make a mistake or wrong decision here or there.
Also, I do know a lot of people headcanon Julieta as the golden child of the triplets, just like how Isabela is the golden child of all the kids, and I can totally see that! She’s the most level-headed and responsible of the three, as well as the eldest. And she has the least disruptive gift, with no presumed drawbacks to it. But her gift is also incredibly practical, just like Luisa’s strength is, and just like how so many people took advantage of Luisa’s strength , I could imagine a lot of people took advantage of Julieta’s healing as well. To me it seems very likely that Julieta had both the perfection and the pressure on her, so if she did even notice this happening to her kids, its possible that because of her own experience, she’s relieved more than anything that neither one has to deal with as much as she had to.
Additionally, Mirabel is a kid who does need more attention from her mother. She pretty much went through a traumatic experience at the age of 5, and afterwards there were members of her family that wouldn’t really look at her or treat her the same way again. Whereas some of their family lifts up the two eldest daughters, some of those same people are putting Mirabel down whether they realize it or not. It makes complete sense that Julieta would feel the need to give extra attention to her.
You’re so right too that a tv series would be great!! There’s still so much to all of these characters that has yet to explored. There’s so much to them that can be expanded upon and fleshed out beyond the film. The end of the film shows us this promise that they all want to go forward and learn and be better for each other, and I for one would love to actually see the result of that happening!! And also yes I absolutely would want Pepa and Julieta interacting more, or at least more triplets content!! There’s too much stuff to explore still with this movie to let it go to waste. Also yes, I also want to see all the rooms!! Dolores’ room in the deleted scenes surprised me because I wouldn’t have expected that for that gift. (Also on a side note, if Dolores was supposed to have healing through food, it makes me wonder if Julieta once had super hearing because that ALSO feels like a very mom gift to have, literally always being able to hear if you’re up to no good lmao). Julieta wouldn’t strike me as having such a mad scientist room, but then again it could just be that because she puts so much time forward in fulfilling her own responsibilities and doing things as always, that her room could be the one place where she could actually experiment and have fun with her own gift!!
You’re not wrong in assuming a lot of fanfic is about Bruno or Camilo, but there are still plenty of triplets or family ones. There’s definitely a tag that exists on Ao3 for the triplets relationship so you can filter with that and it should help narrow it down for those fics at least! (“Bruno Madrigal & Julieta Madrigal & Pepa Madrigal” is what it would be).

Hey! I'm fairly new here and I have a pretty uncommon take on Kaylor. But I just wanna start off by saying I try my best to be as supportive of LGBT people as possible and if they're both bisexual, then I would be 100% okay with that! I'm not trying to "defend their heterosexuality" or anything, I think that's really weird
Okay, so my personal theory is that Kaylor did happen, but that Taylor and Karlie are both straight. I know that might sound contradictory, but I say this based on my own personal experiences based on how I am with my best friend. I think Karlie and Taylor's relationship might have been similar in some ways to ours
Right, so I'm straight and I'm not into women in the gay kind of way (but it's completely cool that some girls are), and I have this roommate who's gorgeous. Really gorgeous, she's like a 10/10 "I would sell my kidney to look like you" kind of girl. She's very attractive, she has like tan skin and long legs and gorgeous brown hair and pretty eyes and nice lips and just like… she's just very good looking. I'm definitely jealous of her body, I won't even pretend I'm not 😪 I lowkey hate her because of it (jk)
We've been living together since not long before COVID started, and we're very good friends. There were three of us before, but our other roommate went back home to stay with her parents until in person classes are back on and we agreed to it and worked something out because she has really bad anxiety so we understood her reasoning for it
Anyway so it's just been us two and because we've been at home a lot during this time instead of out for most of the day like before, we've gotten to know each other a lot better and have become a lot closer. We were already friends from before, but now we're like super close besties, we've been hanging out a lot together and playing board games, watching movies, helping each other with essays, just having long conversations about anything and everything, etc
Like it's been so nice having a best friend that I can be this close to now because I haven't had a best friend since I was a kid
So my friend and I were having like a conversation last year about how hard it's been in quarantine not being able to go on dates and how we miss kissing people, and so we decided to just like, make out for fun you know. I mean, there's not really anything that's inherently romantic or sexual about making out, that's just society that says that. But tbh I think making out with your friends if you want to should be normalized, it's fun and it can even be emotional sometimes. It's not that different from hugging people
After a couple of weeks or so, I think we got bored of just making out with each other and decided to like, fully hook up. It started off because we were modelling lingerie for each other for banter and were pretending we were each other's runway judges and then I think we just decided to hook up with each other as like part of the whole "game". I can't remember who initiated it now, I think it might have been me as a joke lol
Like just in a platonic way for fun, as a kind of substitute until we can go back into society
And tbh I always expected hooking up with a woman to be like mediocre and boring and awkward, but although it was a bit hard to get the hang of at first and there was a learning curve, it's actually very enjoyable. Like I was very surprised actually at how hot it can be, I think I can maybe see why bisexual women and lesbians like doing it
Anyway we both liked it and we just carried on hooking up on the regular and it's been like 8 months now and tbh I just think it's very sweet and heartwarming, like it actually makes me feel a little emotional how we're close enough and care about each other enough that we can even help each other out with the physical intimacy side of things so that we don't get sexually frustrated while we're stuck in lockdown
I just think it's really cool and we even sleep in the same bed most of the time now because tbh what's the point in sleeping alone when you can sleep in the same bed as someone else? It's nicer, like you can cuddle and stuff
Anyway, I think that maybe Kaylor's relationship might have been similar. I think they're both straight but they became really close friends in a short space of time, and that their friendship was so intense that it became physical but in a platonic way
I think lesbians and bisexual women are amazing and I have so much respect for you guys for accepting yourselves in a society that tries to erase you, and I think there definitely needs to be more wlw representation on TV and in movies
But at the same time, I would also like there to be more close female friendships like the one that me and my friend have where you can just talk about everything together and do things that society usually reserves for romantic partners, but in a platonic way. Because female friendship is really important and beautiful, whether that's between straight women like me and my friend who I think is probably straight too, or between queer women because one thing I've learnt during my short time on this blog is how queer women can have very close platonic friendships with other queer women too
I think society just has overly strict ideas of "straight" and "gay". Like for some people, they would hear about two women sleeping together and think "Oh that's gay", but not necessarily because straight women can enjoy sleeping with other women too, like it's normal 🤷‍♀️
I think it's just a result of women being a lot more physically beautiful than men are, like straight women really got the short end of the stick tbh compared to straight men
I also think it's because women are so oversexualized in the media, and obviously straight girls see that too and so we sort of internalize that attraction to women because we're so used to seeing women being presented in a sexual way? Except it's not real attraction with us like how it is for queer girls
Like I'm very much "attracted" to my friend, she's genuinely stunning and just very hot tbh. But I still identify as straight because it's just a case of what I mentioned above, it's a "fake" attraction. And also because men are afraid to compliment other men because it's seen as "gay", but women can be fully confident in their sexuality and still recognize other women's beauty and sex appeal. You see it all the time in instagram comments, and I really love how we're all so supportive of each other like that
Like I can be fully confident in my sexuality and yet still say that some women like my friend are gorgeous as hell and also 100 times better looking than most men I've seen. I'm very much obsessed with some women's appearances but in a platonic way
And I just love the concept of "girl crushes" and I think that from a feminism viewpoint, it's beautiful that we're focusing on other girls and showing love towards other girls too, instead of just to men who, let's be real, don't even fully appreciate it half of the time
I am going to be sad when we all have to return to life as usual and my friend and I won't be able to spend as much time together anymore. I'm dreading it tbh, I don't want it to end yet. And it really sucks that the physical side of our friendship will probably have to stop too once our other roommate comes back because I think she'd definitely misunderstand the situation and think it's something different than it actually is if she ever saw us kissing or something. I really am going to miss it a lot though, I really like how things currently are and it's just really really nice and I don't want it to change :/
Btw I'm sorry if I sounded fetishistic or offensive with any of this, I just get a bit jealous sometimes that you guys get to date girls and we're just stuck with men. Honestly if it wasn't for all of the homophobia and the struggles that you all have to face and the fact that it would feel disrespectful to the LGBT community, I would probably really wish I could change my sexuality to be bisexual or gay instead because I just think women are better. Sometimes I really do wish I was into women in that way because dating girls just sounds so much more appealing to me (in a non fetishizing weird way) but unfortunately I'm stuck with dating men 🤦‍♀️ But I also know I'm lucky and privileged to be straight even though most men are mediocre and kinda gross and I don't mean to be disrespectful because I know you all have to face homophobia and other LGBT difficulties and it really sucks, people are awful. There's nothing wrong with women dating women or men dating men at all, society is just ugly and bigoted
Anyway, does anybody else have a similar sort of take on Kaylor where they think they could have both been straight and just had a very close friendship with a physical side to it? I think it would explain a lot. But like I said, this is just a theory of mine based on my own situation, and I'm also open to the idea that it was an actual relationship and that they're both into women for real, not just fake "into women" like I am.
Also pls feel free to call me out if I accidentally said anything offensive towards LGBT people, I tried my best but if I made a mistake anywhere pls let me know and I'll avoid it next time!
You’re not offensive. Please stop apologizing. And we’re gonna come back to the Kaylor stuff another time because... Honey. You and I need to have a conversation for a bit.
So firstly, I’m not trying to like “diagnose” you and at the end of the day it’s your choice what you want to call yourself but... tbh you might not be straight. Sexuality is fluid not static and exists on a spectrum not in absolutes. It’s not like it’s straight, 50/50 bi, gay and you’re born knowing and there’s no room for anything else. That’s not true. There’s a lot of room in between all of these and labels can change over time. We’re people, not cereal brands, and sometimes we don’t even KNOW the word for what we might be. I’m tagging a tag for you from when we asked people to share their label journeys for you to see. It’s not simple or easy and it’s not just because of external stuff - it’s because figuring this out internally is HARD. If you found yourself having such an intense friendship it became physical, repeatedly, you liked it a lot, you still sleep in the same bed and continue to share all your thoughts and you don’t want any of that to end... I’m not sure you’re Kinsey 0. And I think you might lowkey have a girlfriend dude.
You can obviously prefer men but like... hun I reaaallly don’t think you’re completely straight.
Also: it’s okay to say “I see myself winding up with a man and this is a situationship for right now!” but that doesn’t make you straight because again, sexuality is a spectrum and you can manifest a particular kind of endgame while experiencing other things along the way.
But here’s where you really got me: “most men are mediocre and kinda gross” and “women being a lot more physically beautiful than men are, like straight women really got the short end of the stick tbh compared to straight men” because that’s the kind of thing I used to say in my Bi 1.0 era before I ID’d as a lesbian for a bit and before Harry Styles (KING 🥺) made me bi for real. Hun, no. Straight women like men. Tbh BI women like men. I genuinely, unironically, find Harry and Timmy and Matt Smith to be sexy beasts and I would do dirty things to the former two but maybe not the latter irl in 2021 but yes also him if I could be on that Spain trip with him and Karen where they got sloshed and which I think of often. These men are genuinely fucking beautiful to me in the same way Taylor is and Di Silvers is (okay she’s prettier than all of them but like same ~vibe) and like Megan Thee Stallion is and Indira Varma in everything but especially GOT and Gillian Anderson and Keira Knightley. Like those women are HOT to me and SO. ARE. THE. MEN.
Straight women find SO MANY DUDES hot. So many. Starting from objectively pretty options I just cannot personally understand like Chris Evans all the way through to bitches who are outchea simping for wrestlers and Cole Sprouse. Do I understand? No. But like... that’s straight girl culture and ours is not to judge.
If you’re struggling to find men hot then... you might be gay.
Also, I’m not sure what you mean by “fake attraction”. Like queer women - especially femme women which I assume you very much are - experience the same kinds of feelings straight girls do. We have women we want to be like and look like and find enviable (me and Oenone Forbat) and women we find aesthetically gorgeous (me and Anya Taylor Joy) and we have extremely close female friends who we can spend hours on end spilling our guts to - as you say female friendships are truly special - and without going into personal people that you don’t know, that’s me and Cam and Sim right? I literally talk to them for hours. Like those are not gay feelings. And yes we can chat about those kinds of feelings with straight girls and call them “girl crushes” and not immediately get “caught out” because they experience this exact shit too.
But here’s the thing. They never do and I don’t want in the cases above to fuck these women. It’s not sexual.
The moment I can actually imagine fucking the women in question that’s... gay.
Like it’s not “fake attraction” it’s literally just gay. That’s how we desire women. We want to fuck them. Not all women. Not always. But sometimes we want to get under or on top of one and just really truly fucking make each other moan with pleasure.
I have no idea if Karlie or Taylor are into women. They could both literally be straight. I have no idea.
But I have a better idea about you.
Hun, you’re fucking your roommate/best friend and don’t want to stop.
You’re not “into women”.
You’re into this woman.
And possibly into women more generally.
So I know it’s weird to have to be the one to tell you this, and if you want to keep chatting via anon or in my DMs or if you want me to try collate resources for you from around the web but...
Like.
Dude.
You’re a whole ass part of the rainbow.
Welcome to the community you thought you weren’t a part of earlier today 🌈 ❤️
It’s nice here, sure there’s homophobia, but at least we get to fuck girls and man is it good.

The Signs as things I wanted to be when I grow up
[This has literally been in my drafts since December because I wasn't sure if each option matched with the sign I chose but whatever (it's also a long post again, oof)
Also I didn't really post anything related to 2020 so... Happy New Year, let's hope something good will happen this decade!! 💖]
♈ Aries: Be part of the army. I was quite fascinated by the idea of guns and protecting the nation and actually getting my life together. I was actually thinking about it for quite a while until I realized that in order to get accepted (at least according to the Greek system) you need to have excellent grades (especially maths/physics), to be taller that 165cm and to be excellent in sports. Guess what, I don't understand physics/science/chemistry, I've been about 158cm for the past 3 years and the only two sports I'm good at are badminton and tennis (while you need to be good at running, swimming and things like that I guess 😕)
♉ Taurus: A chef/baker. Cooking and baking always seemed pretty fun. I would always sit by my grandma whenever she cooked/baked goodies and observe the whole process. I also got inspired by the movies "The Princess and the Frog" and "Ratatouille" and thought that one day I could possibly come up with my own recipes and open my own restaurant. But while growing up I realized that I can't cook properly when I'm stressed/multi-tasking (I'm capable of burning the food AND the kitchen if I get slightly distracted, ooof)
♊ Gemini: A TV presenter or a weather woman. My mom told me that from the age of three I would always pretend to talk to an audience and answer questions from the callers or announce news/talk about the weather. Maybe that explains why I talk to thin air (as if I was a YouTuber) about anything and everything when I'm alone. Though it sounds cool, I don't really think I could do it now because I have social anxiety.
♋ Cancer: A writer. I really like writing, I don't know why. Authors have been inspiring me since my childhood, I remember I used to read so many books and try to write something of my own based on it. 😅 I like taking notes and then re-writing them more neatly. I like re-doing old homework in a different style and see if I have improved. I really like writing in a diary/a bullet journal too, I feel like it's much better than bothering others with my problems anyway. I also love coming up with random scenarios/stories/characters and writing about it but I don't know if I should share it. Idk, sometimes I feel like my writing is a bit boring or that it's nothing that impressive. So, honestly, if more people took writers seriously instead of thinking it's a hobby as it doesn't always pay well (when did the world even start revolving around money that much, oml) and if I was more confident about my work I'd definitely chose to become a writer/author (I'm still keeping it as a hobby no matter what I end up doing, lol).
♌ Leo: A model. Omg, I honestly don't know why I even thought of it. Probably because I really liked watching ANTM when I was younger (and I specifically chose the American version because the one we have in my country makes me cringe a lot, just hearing girls from my school talking about it is painful). My friends also liked the outfits that I put together or how I would always pose for pictures (a few years ago, I'm too awkward now asdfghjkl). Looking at it now it's just so funny. There's literally so much competition in the name of beauty, the community can get kinda toxic sometimes and the standards are pretty high. Also I'm way too short and I still can't walk like a normal person when wearing high heels lol.
♍ Virgo: A teacher. Specifically, a teacher for elementary or even kindergarten. Back then, the concept of teaching seemed pretty fun to me and I had lots of ideas about how to make class more interesting. The thing is that I have good chemistry with most kids and I actually kinda dislike teenagers because of how rebellious we can get when it comes to school (idk but like teens in my country are like pretty rude to everyone 😐). I'm not so sure about it now, though it's still an option.
♎ Libra: A psychologist. I always liked helping others out and offering advice when they're having a tough time and I was also curious to see what makes each person feel angry, sad or stressed and the way they respond. It's also interesting because you can learn a lot about someone's personality, preferences and way of thinking or understand what caused someone to commit a crime. I still really like psychology and it's one of my main options for uni. The only problem is that psychology is pretty much overrated in my country so people say it's best to choose something else. 😒
♏ Scorpio: A criminologist. And, surprisingly, I still want it. I was always intrigued by things that required research, was interesting in learning what caused a murder/crime to be committed and I would always watch crime thrillers with my dad. I also like it because it's a field of Sociology which is one of my favorite subjects. I'm just hoping finals aren't super difficult so I can get accepted in the college that I want on the first try lol.
♐ Sagittarius: A flight attendant. Back then I found it kinda fun, as I was always curious about what going on a plane is like. It could also be because of their outfits (like the ones you see in movies or in Britney's MV for Toxic, idk why 😅). Plus I would get to travel around the world without paying as much as the passengers. But then, at the age of 14-15 I got on an airplane 4 times and I saw that it wasn't really like the movies and that literally everyone ignored the flight attendant so yeah, it's not an option anymore. ✈️
♑ Capricorn: A fashion designer. So because I would always draw and constantly ask for new crayons/markers and other art supplies, my mom bought me a few coloring books that focused on fashion. It came along with stickers, stencils, ideas for Victorian dressses, advice for how to design lace or mermaid tail dresses and I was so impressed. A few years later, my grandma showed me a few dresses that she had made for my mom when she was younger (which were so gorgeous like I'm definitely going to wear one of them on my graduation day) and taught me sewing. I also got to see these small floral designs that you usually see on lingerie and it was so pretty, I wish I could do it as perfectly as her. I decided to follow my grandma's advice and keep it as a hobby instead (because she ended up doing nothing but designing clothes and repairing them which she regrets 🧵🧶).
♒ Aquarius: An astronaut. This was pretty random, I have to admit. I guess I really liked space and looking at at the stars in the night sky. I read a few books about space and learned a few things about NASA back in elementary too, though I realized that it's something I could never really do, as you have to sacrifice a lot. I'm still fascinated by this profession but there's no way I could ever do it, since I can't even understand basic physics or mathematics. 🤷‍♀️
♓ Pisces: An artist. Honestly I didn't really care if most artists didn't get recognition/fame or if they didn't earn enough money, I just wanted to make art because I liked it. It's also fun because while you are expressing your thoughts through an art piece, another person might interpret it differently, based on their likings and thoughts. Art also plays an active role in my life: I've been drawing and painting since I was 5 and I would always watch the show with Bob Ross on TV with my grandma. Instead of completely giving up on this idea, I thought that I could choose another profession (also my family didn't really like the thought of me doing art for a living 😐) and keep art as a hobby.

Hey this is your asoiaf rarepair santa, just as heads up I'm going to send you a lot of asks on anon, some related to your present some not 😋 I have a few ideas that are very different from each other and I want to get a bit of intel on what you like or don't like 😁
What kind of present would you like to get? (e.g. mood board, fic, a fan vid, gifs etc) Is there something you would not like to recieve?
What are your howarts headcanons for Dany, Robb and the ppl around them?
Do you remember/ know that fanvideo of modern game of thrones called ‘westeros the series’, that was in the end a trailer for that america first, netherlands second tv show? Did you like it? If yes what did you like? If no what didn’t you like?
If you like superheroes: What is your favourite dc and marvel superhero? what is your favourite superhero movie of all times?
rarepair santa here again: what are your thoughts on horror movies?
Do you like videogames?
Hi! It was a pleasant surprise to see all of your asks in my inbox, I’ll try to answer everything the best I can for you. I would gladly receive anything you decide to make honestly lol, which might not be the most insightful answer. Just do whatever you would feel like is the most fun!
I have basic headcannons: Dany is placed in house slytherin for being cunning and creative Robb in Gryffindor for  honor, bravery etc, and I picture a kind of enemies to friends situation but you know,  lol it can honestly be anything
and woooww I’ve never seen the westeros series trailer but I looked it up and holy shit it is fantastic! I love it and the sort of ‘candidate’ race based upon lies. It’s awesome!
I used to be  soooo into superheros in middle school! I still love them but I’ve kinda cooled off on them if that makes sense lol I’m sure another phase of obsession will surface soon. I really love the teen titans and ‘batfam’ drama and for marvel I love the daredevil series and the second captain america movie, winter soldier.
I only love horror movies if I’m watching them with other people, if I’m alone then HELL NO, I get too scared haha I think ghost stories scare me most, paranormal shit really gets to me
and I love video games, albeit I’m shit at them. I don’t really play multi player games, but stuff like the last of us and Uncharted I love. I’ve been playing Uncharted since sixth grade and now I’m in highschool and I still love it lol and the only consoles I’ve ever really known growing up are all the playstations.
