Will I ever expect Nintendo writing a Ganondorf who's trying to break the curse and end the cycle? No. I simply think their faithful adherence to the nature of fairytales about the knight rising up to face evil and save the princess is simply that strong. It's a classic (in the most literal sense cite Perseus and Andromeda). It's why I don't believe in a playable Zelda until I see it with my own eyes.

While the earnest nature of providing interesting spins on this millennia old formula is rather endearing, I would welcome earnest breaks in turn as well. Yet until I see it, I simply won't be holding my breath for when it comes.

#no slight to anyone wanting either thing in totk but 35 years of narrative precedence is pretty strong #that being said if you ask me my ''dream Zelda game'' much of the plot involves something regarding either one #i think a zelda game where the king of hyrule is zelda's elder brother. a game where link and zelda have long since been married #and the main villain isnt ganon but say an invader of another kind. #but ganondorf is present. a young traveling mercenary informed of his fate to become the king of evil and trying for a cure from that fate #zelda is not taken but an active participant; frequently joining link traveling around hyrule or breaking off to buy more equipment #and do some scouting of her own #it has botws exploration but maybe some linearized pieces of development like a dungeon thats a fortress wall blocking off parts of the map #random encounters against Ganondorf who's time is running out and desperately trying to find zelda #until the two of you are travelling and he ambushes you. #you can lose and must rescue her from his lair. you can fend him off. or you can defeat him and track him down #the first has minimal changes to the ending of the game. the second has a surprise ganon fight. and the third reveals a quest #one where he explains his plight and help break his curse #and in the end the three of you face the villain side by side #i think that would be a cool game #zelda #legend of zelda #tears of the kingdom #totk #loz

Alright. Here's the family tree...part 1. There are so many parts and I'm not doing it all in one post. We're just gonna split them up and slowly get through them. (Also I tend to forget some features in Comic Creator.)

Let's start with some families that have not changed.

First off, we have the main family, Pure Lily Family. We all know the story: Pure Vanilla and White Lily have six kids (four boys and two girls) and that they have the insane adventures.

Next up, we have the Custard Family. We have Elder Custard (Or just Custard), his ex-wife Light Cream, and their three sons, Royal Margarine, Clotted Cream, and Custard the Third (Custard Cream). Also, Buttercream is not suppose to be inside since she sometimes brings mud in the house.

Thank you anon for making me remember about corpse bride AU and hastily writing shit down in order to provide you with answers--

The setting of the story is split between Musutafu (for the convenient park location where Yoichi’s body was interred) and Yomi [黄泉], the land of the dead referred to in Shinto mythology. Yoichi references Izanagi and Izanami re: Izanagi sealing the entrance (and his wife away) with a huge boulder, but otherwise, I’m not incorporating any demons or folkloric creatures. A lot of pseudoscience will be handwaving the existence of Yomi.

Yoichi died first, of course, but the most recent death among the dead is actually Third (Sanjuro), hence why he looks like much older than the rest of them. Second (Kenji) has one foot in the grave, but he’s holding onto life for as long as possible to find proof of Yoichi’s death, and is generally making himself a nuisance to the local law enforcement. 

Toshinori loves Captain Hero so much, he sort of forgives Gran Torino for being an asshole just because of the costume similarity. Kotarou, on the other hand, has high standards and gives Sorahiko the evil eye for wasting so much time re: saving the Shimuras from losing Toshinori.

Banjo and En are Yoichi’s hype-men, like how the worm and spider were for Emily. Regardless of how they died on the job, they did like being heroes, and they don’t see why Sorahiko had to be such a jerk, saying that Yoichi couldn’t be one.

All for One is aware of the world of the dead, and he fully intends on using Toshinori to access it. Does he know how he’s going to do that? No, but that’s what Garaki is for.

Wish me luck everyone I’m currently being forced to update my Skyrim. I don’t have nearly as many mods as some people do (think I’ve got less than 10) but lord if THIS is the update that breaks my game I’m going to be so beyond pissed
