Huntlow Grom Redraws (The Aftermath)
Huntlow Grom Masterpost:
Previous: The Dance
Video:
Bonus: Overview + The Aftermath
IM FINALLY DONE THANK GOD. NEVER ASK ME TO DRAW THIS MUCH FOR THIS LONG EVER AGAIN.
Anyway, admittedly, this will look a bit more awkward on tumblr since I'm not including the overview shots. But I'm only combining them on insta out of nessecity since I can't make the combined posts I want to make on there due to the 10 images limit. If I can only make one version on insta, I'm gonna post the combined version. You can go up to 30 images on tumblr on PC, so I will be making extra tumblr exclusive posts where I combine redraws from the overview into other parts to make everything flow even better. Yippie!
As for usual I changed some expressions. First panel I made Willow less happy (but still happy) and changed Hunter's mouth from :O to a smile.
Second panel I made them blush because its cute, but I made Willow a bit more flustered due to her being nervous for what she's about to ask Hunter.
Third panel I made Hunter have an "Oh shit" face... because idk I felt like Amity's expression in the OG was weird for the situation.
Mainly changed Willow's face in the 4th one because Luz looked really bad in the OG screenshot. Also slightly older King design I had to make up on the spot.
Last panel, they're more flustered because... I think you get the jist. Every time I add blush or flustered expressions, it's because It's cuter, damn it!

The Owl House Is A Bit of A Mixed Bag When It Comes To Ships
The Owl House is a show that I love a lot, but when it comes to relationships I have some mixed feelings. Now, I don't hate ships in TOH but I do have some issues with them.
The Good
First let's start of with the good; one of the things I like about how TOH handles its ships is how they don't overtake the plot or anything, which is a pretty easy trap that any show with romance can fall into (looking at you Star vs). There's also no bullshit romance drama in the show (the closest thing we get to that is Luz not opening up in S2 EP11 and EP14 but that was about it and its also executed in a way that's not absolutely insufferable).
Lumity is also the show's best relationship; it's gradually built up over the course of season 1 and the first half of season 2 and they are legitimately pretty cute together. Ships like Veesha and Aladraius are also pretty neat. So now let's get into...
The Problems
NOTE: Any issues I have with TOH's ships are most likely due to the shortening, so take my critiques with a grain of salt. Also there will be some criticism levidied towards Huntlow and Reada, if you don't like that don't read the rest of this post.
I think my issues with TOH's ships have to come with the ship's themselves, mainly Raeda and Huntlow. Lumity is good as I already said but the other two have a few issues. First I'ma talk about Huntlow; I don't hate Huntlow as a ship, It's OK, I just think it could have been done a bit better.
The ship mainly suffers from being less developed than Lumity, as Willow and Hunter don't really have that much-developed chemistry with each other. There is one interesting thing about the ship though, that being how they are both young witchlings that were shunned for not being born strong and called a "half-a-witch". That is an interesting parallel, but I don't really think the show develops they're relationship beyond that. The ship is just kinda underdeveloped which is my main problem with it, they're relationship just isn't that fleshed out to me, and as a result, it feels a little bit rushed.
I WILL say though, the moment they had in FTF is cute, it's neat harmless little fan service that doesn't take away from the plot or characters, which is nice.
But overall Huntlow isn't terrible but I have my fair share of issues with it. I honestly feel like this ship has more developed chemistry in fan works than in canon. Like, seriously, Willow and Hunter are incredibly cute together in a lot of Huntlow fan works more than in the actual show.
Anyways, now let's get into...Raeda. I've already talked about this ship before and why I personally don't care for it so I won't go too in depth here, but Raeda to me just suffers from how Raine, as a character, is heavily defined by Eda, and they don't have much depth outside of that. If Raine as a character had more independence from Eda I would have liked this ship a lot more, but they don't.
Again, my issues of Huntlow and Raeda are purely there because of the shortening. If the show wasn't shortened than Huntlow would've definitely been more developed, and Raine would have been a better character with more actual development beyond "Eda's ex".
Conclusion
So ya, that's my thoughts on TOH ships. The shipping in the show isn't bad but I think it could've been better, though again, it's worth mentioning the show got shortened so these problems aren't necessarily its fault, buuuuuut my points still stand. So....bye.

HUNTLOW WEEK FIRST PROMPT!
HALLOWEEN/HOOTY!!
//TIME FRAME//:THE HALLOWEEN AFTER WAD//WARNINGS:
Luz is American and therefore would use American English words, but I am a British English (mainly) speaker, so if I mention something that is not American or does not exist in America, I apologise. Example: Lollies VS candy. I use lollies and America (apparently, not gonna assume) uses candy. I’ll try to use the correct terminology, but in all due respect, this is Fanfiction, not a published novel from the greatest writer in the world.
References: MOVIE: A Quiet Place//NETFLIX//M RATED//HORROR/SCI-FI//(Recommend, good 👍)
Hunter picked up his scroll as a notification pinged on the screen. Luz.

HALLOWEEN PARTYYYY!
___________________
Hunter cursed himself under his breath. Why did he say yes because Willow was going to be there? He knew now that his feelings for her were called ‘romantic’ and ‘a crush’, but all he’s going to get is teasing and he knows it. He sighed, getting off of his computer that Camila had given him. He walked downstairs, still cursing himself.
“Uh- Darius?” Hunter asked cautiously. Not his first time asking about something, but something about this made him feel nervous.
“Yes, little prince?”
“Uh, Luz has invited me to a ‘halloween party’. Can I go?” Hunter twiddled his thumbs together. Darius gave him a blank look.
“Yeah sure,” Darius replied. “Not like we are doing anything.” He placed a glass of Clawhey’s Extra Strong Boor on the table. “I’m having someone over anyways. Not like it’ll inconvenience that.”
Hunter nodded as if taking this very seriously. “Right. But uh, you were a teenager once right?”
Darius gave him a confused stare. “No way.” he snorted. “Thought I was born at forty-five.”
Hunter blushed. “That’s not- I mean-” He spluttered frantically. “How do you like… wow someone?” Cringy jazz hands were displayed to Darius in hope of them somehow increasing the knowledge to the situation.
“You want to impress someone?” Darius’s curiosity arose, despite having a very good idea of who.
“N-no! It’s like.. Hypothetically…?” Hunter stuttered awkwardly, his tooth gap showing as his face progressively turned a brighter hue of red.
“Well your Captain likes flowers so-” he cut himself off to admire the beautiful shade his son’s face, ears and apparently arms had so quickly turned to after the mention of his captain.
“Ex-excuse me!?” Hunter spluttered. “Who said this had anything to do with-”
“Hunter, I’m not stupid. You talk about her twenty-four/seven. There are pictures of her on your desk. And I found one under your pillow. Don’t play dumb. Like… everyone except her knows you are soft for her.” Darius continued, purely to annoy Hunter to the point where the boy’s body turns the same shade of crimson that his ears had. Hunter’s jaw had dropped so much that Darius could stuff Hunter’s ‘secret’ bi flag in it. Darius’s lips curled into a smirk.
“What, little prince?” his smirk only grew, Hunter becoming speechless. The blonde boy made a series of intelligible noises, each one being understandable in every way possible to his adoptive father’s ears. Darius shook his head.
“Go get ready.” he instructed the stuttering, hormonal teenage boy. Hunter shut his eyes and just accepted this.
“Will do.” he squeaked.
______________________
Hunter turned up at The Owl House cautiously. He knocked.
“Hooty, who is it?” Luz’s voice yelled. Hooty stuck his head out the window.
“Hoot hoot! It’s the weird blonde kid with the crush on Willow!” Hooty shouted back to Luz. Hunter blushed furiously.
“HOOTY!” he hissed. “My name is Hunter!” Hunter paused. “And I don’t have a crush on Willow.” he flushed, rubbing his arm. He looked down.
“Suuuuuuuurre!” Hooty mocked him. “I read the thing you wrote.”
Hunter’s head whipped up, flashback of the notebook he’d written his feelings in. TITAN! Hunter panicked.
“What writing?” he faltered, failing to hide the fact he had, in fact, written something a little bit… hormonal, to say it one way.
(:O Not like dat you dirty mind >:O)
“Don’t try to hide it with the names ‘O’Bailey’ and ‘Lily’. We aaaaallll know it’s just Hunter and Willowww!” Hooty nodded. Hunter sighed in relief. Hooty had only found his O’Bailey X Lily fanfiction. Not his diary. Hooty continued to babble on about his fanfiction, while Luz came to the door and let Hunter in.
“Even Hooty knows you have a massive crush on Willow, Hunter! How does she not realise it?!”
“Shhh Luz!” Hunter snapped.
“She’s not here, stop worrying.”
Luz complained impatiently. “Why can’t you just ask her out! You’re worse than me and Amity!”
A small gasp was heard from the room beside them, just as they were about to walk in.
“We weren’t that bad!” Amity’s lip wobbled fakely. Luz just smiled and shook her head. Hunter and Luz sat down with Amity, Gus and Vee. Now they were only waiting on Willow.
*WILLOW FINALLY TURNS UP :D*
“Willow!” Luz greeted her friend with a hug. Hunter smiled adoringly, watching from just beside the walls to the next room.
“Whatcha lookin’ at, kid?”
Hunter whipped around and smacked Eda in the face in a fight response.
“EDA!” he snapped. “You frightened me!”
Eda gifted Hunter with a rude stare. Raine showed up beside her.
“He’s looking at Willow.” Raine explained. “Haven't you noticed his extremely noticeable crush?”
Eda looked at Raine blankly. She shook her head. Raine sighed, abandoning any plan to try and help Eda understand. It wasn’t going to work. Hunter proceeded to turn what now seemed to be his face’s normal colour. He dismissed them both, walking back to the room. He could hear Willow’s footsteps as her and Luz approached the room. While Willow came in and sat down, Luz walked straight past the door. She started into a sprint, quite quickly coming back with small black boxes. She handed one to each of them.
“I got us all a little something. I know Hallween is a one-night thing, but you can use these whenever you want!” she exclaimed excitedly. Gus went straight into ripping his open.
“Oh, cool!” Gus grinned, pulling out a pair of bat pyjamas. Willow’s eyes lit up at the sight of Gus’s present. She opened hers as quickly as Gus had opened his. But in a more calm manner. She pulled out some black pumpkin pyjamas with vines all over the sleeves.
“Awww!” She held the cloth up to her face. “Thank you Luz!”
The rest of them, now intrigued, opened theirs. Amity pulled out a pair with black cats on them, while Vee found a witchy themed one in her hands. Hunter was the last to do so, and he took out his own one, which had werewolves on them. Forgetting where he was, and only caring about the fact they had wolves on them, Hunter’s eyes became wide as pans and seemed to shimmer. He hugged the pyjamas. The rest of the group giggled, and Hunter snapped back to reality. He coughed.
“I mean they’re cool I guess.” Hunter mumbled. Willow giggled softly and Hunter turned to her. His face returned to the carmine colour it has been so frequently this week. Willow thought that was cute.
“Heh, your face is all red.” she giggled. Hunter went a brighter shade of ruby. Luz clapped her hand together loudly, snapping everyone’s attention back to her.
“I wanted to go trick-or-treating but I decided that if I just bought the candy and we had a halloween sleepover it would be cool?” Luz explained.
“Yeah!” Hunter smiled, still ecstatic about his new pyjamas. He’s adorable… Willow thought. Without any warning, Luz pulled out a bag from under her bed and then proceeded to pull out bags of candy. Starbursts, Skittles, M&M’s, random chocolate bars that nobody bothered to read the label on. Though it probably wasn’t the best idea, Luz put on a movie on the TV she’d managed to shove through the portal, and they watched a movie while eating tons of candy. Luz had found a horror movie called A Quiet Place. They all huddled together on the couch.
“This might be a bit scary.” Luz announced quite loudly. Hunter, not waiting to show fear even though after reading the description was terrified, he smirked.
“The only one who would be scared is you, Luz. I’ve lived as the Golden Guard on the Boiling Isles for as long as I can remember.”
Luz grinned. “Of course, Hunter.” she nodded solemnly. “You are the strongest of them all.” she bowed to him. Hunter did not appreciate the mock. Luz turned the lights off and they sat down, facing the TV, Vee was on the very far right end, then Amity, Luz, Hunter, Willow, Gus.
“Whatever Luz. I guess we will see when the movie starts.”
*ABOUT 10 MINUTES IN*
Hunter was tense. Not a little bit, he was really really tense. The suspense of the movie scared him. The fact that there was no talking was freaky. The blanket Hunter had somehow acquired at some point during the movie was only allowing his eyes to be shown.he was wrapped up in it, but Luz being the sibling she is, decided to steal it.
“Hey!” Hunter whined. “I was using that!” Luz just snickered.
“Lol do not caaare!” she sang. Hunter whimpered. That was his safe space! He turned back to the movie, curling up timidly. A minute later, he got a tap on the shoulder.
“We can share if you want.” a small, soft voice whispered. Hunter turned to see Willow holding her blanket open. He blushed furiously, hoping the fact that the lights were off hid it.
“Itsfineiamok.” Hunter mumbled quickly. (It’s fine I am ok). Willow beckoned him to share with her. He tried to say no but she didn’t give up. His blush did not calm down as he finally agreed. He moved over a little bit. Willow noticed he was shy, and moved the rest of the way for him. She wrapped the blanket around him and moved a tiny bit closer. Their shoulders were touching, and Willow decided to close the small gap they had between them. She leant on him, unaware of the dark scarlet colour that had just overtaken the small ruby hue that dusted his cheeks. Slowly, due to the lack of noise, Willow fell asleep. Her head rested on Hunter’s shoulder. Usually, she’d be snoring. But she’d knocked herself out with sugar.
Oh my Titan… Hunter whined inwardly. She looks so peaceful and beautiful when she sleeps… maybe I should… hmm…
And to that thought, Hunter’s mind shut down and sleep overtook him. His head fell onto Willow’s. Absent-mindedly, Hunter’s body decided that Willow was a stuffed toy and he hugged her firmly.
MEANWHILE>>>
“OH MY TITANNNNN!” Luz whispered urgently. “EEEEEEEEEEE!”
Amity looked at her girlfriend, then saw the scene behind her.
“Ew.” Amity retched quietly.
“QUICK AMITY WHERE THE TITAN IS MY PHONE?!” Luz panicked. She fumbled the blankets as quietly as she could to find it.
“Hehe blackmail.” was the last thing she said before taking the photo and falling asleep with Amity.

may i ask why lunter shippers often criticize and/or dislike lumity so much ─ as in, the pairing itself, not the fans? it's extremely frustrating because i'm a multishipper (lumity main, but i very much love lunter too) and i don't understand why the shipping war over which one "should be true canon" isn't just one-sided from biphobes/antis/etc., because i was always under the impression that was the case. i've only ever experienced the fandom mainstream and i'm still new to spaces where shipping luz with boys, especially hunter, is acceptable. i'm curious as to why each side has negative shit to say about the other as if their opinion is absolute. hell, i'm still confused by how much people passionately hate huntlow this bad for being boring and unoriginal at worst; if it's problematic for the age gap then surely lunter is too (rhetorical)? anyway, i hope this ask comes across okay and respectful enough. i read your blog's description and pinned post so i hope i can find some answers through you.
~ bi-ship
Thank you for being so respectful!
There’s many reasons as to why Lunter fans dislike Lumity as a ship. It’s mainly due to a difference in shipping taste or out of spite since a handful of Lumity shippers are toxic (I like Lumity, it’s cute, but I fall under the difference in shipping taste category).
Lumity and Lunter are two completely different ships. One falls under the cutesy, wholesome, loving couple (Lumity) trope and the other falls under the angsty, heartbreak, storyline, and lore-based (Lunter) ship trope.
Many Lunter fans are mainly in the fandom and watch the show for the lore and Wittebane brothers, which is why they ship Lunter (for the Evelyn/Caleb parallels). If Lunter was canon, TOH would be a completely different story and have the Wittebane family as a major key to the story. But with Lumity, the story doesn’t go much into the brothers and just has a cute loving couple.
That’s where most of the criticism comes from. Lumity isn’t a ship that’s there for the lore, it’s just there for sapphic representation and normality. Also, since it was the first Disney sapphic couple involving a protagonist, it would be difficult to add it into lore-based angst since it would probably be passed as “too toxic” or whatever. That’s why they’re so lovey-dovey. Keep in mind this is just a thought. Lumity is not toxic at all, they’re just a normal couple.
With Huntlow, Lunter fans mostly hate it and criticize it for being boring and unoriginal like you said. It was rushed a lot and could have been dropped since it didn’t bring representation or relevance (Willow was never confirmed as Evelyn and they were never in-show confirmed or coded as bi/pan. I headcanon them as such but all they ever had were popular color palettes). It also depends a lot on perspective. It’s toxic to some and not toxic to others. I have a deep hate for it just for the unoriginality (bad boy turns into malewife for the shy girl that turns into a girlboss) and irrelevance but I don’t actually view it as TOXIC toxic since in my viewpoint, it’s just two normal people pushed too hard into a malewife x girlboss ship. I don’t like how Willow does sometimes resemble Belos but she’s far FAR better and healthier than Belos.
To sum this up: Lunter fans often dislike/criticize Lumity and Huntlow for being lovey-dovey, unoriginal, and not relevant to the plot. It all boils down to a difference in shipping interest. None of the ships are actually toxic (it’s mostly just people looking far too deep into them) but some people can view it as such and that’s fine as long as no one gets harassed. We all have different views.

The Web House
Full disclosure—I did not have this all typed out before today, but this won the poll, and I do nothing if not deliver.
*cracks knuckles*
So, this is kind of an inverse to my already well-established AU, The Wittebane Archives, over on AO3—Luz is the Archivist and going through the horrors, there’s an equal amount of deep character moments as well as incredibly chilling encounters, it’s great, it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever written, please go check it out. You got tragic Lumity, tragic Huntlow, wholesome Veesha, Skara and Boscha content, and Belos being much more morally grey than you’d expect. Also, there’s some fucked-up monster content.
ANYWAYS!
I finally decided to do an AU where a young Jon ends up on the Boiling Isles, and I took a similar approach with the tone that I did with Wittebane Archives. In that story, while I still highlighted the horror of the world they live in, I decided to make it more manageable for the characters and give them chances to still find ways to feel human, reflecting the fact that TOH is a more gentle and optimistic show (and I much prefer happy endings to sad ones). So, with The Web House, I decided that the Isles in this world are the Isles we would’ve gotten if Dana had been allowed to do her original vision… which is to say, all of the scary and horrific parts are kicked up to their extent. No sugarcoating here, the demon realm is explicitly referred to as Hell.
Now, to the characters!
Jon: He is, of course, in the role of Luz. Rather than being a naive ray of sunshine from Connecticut, he’s a prickly, anxious, and socially awkward kid from Bournemouth who gets in trouble for his constant refrain of correcting the teacher, having no interest in the assignments, and his habit of reading during class. This eventually leads to him nearly getting sent to a camp for “troubled kids…” until his habit for wandering off and getting distracted by things that are out of the ordinary leads him to stumble in through a portal to the Boiling Isles. Once there, Jon is absolutely blown away by the wonder and horror of the world, and he finally finds something that he’s truly passionate about—though, time and time again, he’s told that he can’t do magic because he’s a human, and he gets very defensive about it. It takes him a while for his walls to come down.
Gerry: He’s Eda—a snarky, anti-establishment, laid-back criminal with a lot of trauma and a habit of unintentionally adopting kids. Instead of an Owl Beast curse, he has a Spider Beast curse, and is referred to as the “Web Witch” by the denizens of the Isles. Gerry was actually pretty happy pre-curse, mainly because his mother died before she could do a lot of real harm… but after getting cursed, everything came crashing down, culminating in Gerry accidentally blinding his father and running away to hide in the woods. Since then, he has a hard time really letting people in, and the fact that he’s a wanted criminal doesn’t help. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t regularly take in strays. (Also, the curse turns his hair black, but it’s naturally red. You’ll see why in a sec.)
Annabelle: She is a slightly more mature version of King—a spiderlike demon child that Gerry found and took in at a young age. Knowing full well that she’s adorable, she takes advantage of the fact that people think she’s sweet and naive to get what she wants, which leads to a lot of shenanigans in the first-season arc. As the story goes on, and she finally takes the push to learn more about her past, she starts learning how to be responsible and to be more honest with herself and others, though she never loses her talent for deception. She’s a curious and devious little kid.
Helen: She’s a Hooty equivalent. Just a sassy door being who helps keep the Web House in tip-top shape.
Agnes: She’s Lilith—Gerry’s older sister and the head of the Emperor’s Coven. Of course, Agnes being Agnes, she’s a lot less tightly wound than Lilith at first and is genuinely sweet and caring, just deeply misguided. She truly believes that Gerry joining the EC is the best option for him, and she’s always been tormented with guilt over cursing him. After leaving the coven, Agnes tries her hardest to make up for lost time, both with Gerry, Eric, and their great-aunt Gertrude, even if she really has no idea how to interact with people outside of being the polite and perfect role model. It’s a learning curve.
Basira: She takes the place of Willow, though her character development is less about being insecure and slowly gaining confidence and more about being stoic and apathetic and learning to express her emotions and fight for what she believes in. Basira has natural talent in both Beastkeeping and Plants, and while she initially thinks that switching to the Plant track would be better for her, she eventually decides to take both classes once it’s approved. She’s painfully logic-minded and has a lot of internal doubts about the coven system, though until she meets Jon and hears his casual breakdown of how valuing certain types of magic over others just doesn’t make sense, she doesn’t yet have the courage to voice it. On her end, Basira turns out to be just the friend that Jon needs—someone who believes in him, but isn’t afraid to tell him when he’s being an ass.
Georgie: She’s in Gus’s position, though instead of being a prodigy at Illusion magic, she’s a prodigy at Abominations magic… and is more than a little terrifying as a result. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a wonderful person, but her keen interest in both humans and in subsects of magic that are more than a little macabre can be a little off-putting to some, which is why Basira’s her only real friend at first. After their initial meeting, which consists of Georgie excitedly asking Jon for a blood sample and him being incredibly spooked by her amazement at meeting an actual human, the two end up getting along like a house on fire, and are basically enablers in each other’s chaos. Georgie’s family doesn’t have a lot of money or social standing in the Isles, so she works twice as hard in order to prove herself and get better opportunities. This leads to burnout. Frequently.
Melanie: She’s… okay, so, she’s Matt in that she’s a fellow member of Georgie’s human appreciation club and a new student at Hexside, though she and Georgie don’t really have a rivalry beyond friendly ribbing. However, she’s also Viney, in that she’s a member of the Detention track who helps kickstart multi-track studies. She and Jon don’t get along immediately, mostly due to the fact that he unintentionally ratted her out for studying both Oracle and Construction magic the first time they met, but the two form a begrudging alliance during a basilisk attack and later become actual friends. Melanie’s a sucker for drama and conflict, and she carries that with her—whether she’s in the Human Appreciation Society, the Flyer Derby team, or just hanging out with Georgie and the rest of the gang. She’s fun.
Martin: He’s Amity, in that he’s a depressed rich kid who’s severely isolated due to parental expectations. Due to his incredible talent at Illusions, a lot of kids end up coming to him when they need to cheat, though they never actually become friends with him due to everyone seeing him as a quiet weirdo who never had to work for anything. When Jon comes along, Martin is distrustful of anybody claiming to want to be his friend, and he doesn’t help things by accidentally demeaning Jon’s interest in magic—which, in Jon’s eyes, cements him as a rival. After a string of miscommunication and failed interactions, the two eventually reach a middle ground and become friends… which later leads into Martin developing a gigantic crush on Jon. Which is later reciprocated. Aside from the romantic drama, Martin learns to both become more open and to stand up for himself, becoming the kind yet bitchy individual we all know and love.
Tim & Danny: They’re Edric and Emira—Martin’s class-clown yet charming older brothers who love teasing their little brother and getting into general mischief. Tim’s the oldest, and he’s usually the one who shows a lot of actual worry towards Martin, though he’s still a very flashy individual and tends to do a lot of crazy things just for the hell of it. Danny, on the other hand, has some identity issues that stem from being a middle child who doesn’t quite know who he is outside of his family, and he tends to throw himself into something if he thinks it’ll make him stand out. They’re both illusionists, like Martin, and while Tim and Danny are biological brothers, all of them are adopted. (Also, Tim eventually starts taking Bard and Beastkeeping classes, while Danny starts taking Potions.)
Daisy: If my decision to make Basira Willow hasn’t tipped you off, Daisy is Hunter—the Golden Guard of the Emperor’s Coven, praised as a teen prodigy yet possesses no magical talent of her own. She’s loyal to the emperor and genuinely believes in everything she’s been taught, and she is absolutely horrible at expressing any emotion other than smugness or anger, believing fear and sentiment to be weaknesses and being deathly afraid of being perceived as anything other than strong. Daisy is a very vulnerable person underneath her hard exterior, and she can be incredibly soft with people she cares about… though, of course, she’s not given much opportunity to connect with anyone outside of the castle, or inside, for that matter. In the canon of TMA, Daisy is a truly fascinating character to me, and I knew that the only character she could feasibly be is Hunter—hey, person who did bad things for a cause they believed was just and had that illusion stripped from them, meet other person who did bad things for a cause they believed was just and had that illusion stripped from them. And they both love wolves. So, yeah, she’s a very traumatized child soldier who makes the gradual evolution into a protective big sister friend and a disaster lesbian.
Sasha: I had to make her Vee. I had to. Even if you take away the whole fact that she was NotThemed and how similar that is to the basilisks, the fact that she was almost made the Archivist makes her perfect for that role. Her general story is pretty much the same as in canon—she’s a basilisk who was created in a lab for the purpose of studying magic draining and ran away to the human realm, falling in love with it almost as soon as she arrived. Once in the human realm, Sasha develops a love for computers and manages to make friends with the people she meets at the camp (I’m not sure who they are yet, though I’m leaning towards making them Sam and Colin—Alice already has a role), and when she and Jon actually have a chance to meet, they almost immediately bond as siblings after the distrust and animosity is thrown out the window. Also, Sasha’s existence helps Jon finally fully connect with his grandmother, so… bonus!
Oliver: He’s Raine. As much as I love Doorkeay, I have a different role in mind for Micheal, and Oliver’s dynamic with Gerry as two gorgeous witchy goth men connected with The End is something that I’d love to see more of. Anyways, um… so, Oliver and Gerry’s story is pretty similar to canon—they met when they were in high school, were best friends from that point on, and eventually started dating, though they broke up due to Gerry being tight-lipped about the curse and Oliver eventually making the decision to join the Bard coven. Oliver didn’t start being a rebel leader right away, though, since he initially believed that the best way to fix things was by changing it from the inside, but after years of that not working, he finally caved and started the BATs. He’s very practiced at pretending that he’s just an unassuming workaholic, and he often claims stage fright in order to continue operating under the radar. Oliver’s a smart dude.
Trevor: He’s… well, he takes the position of Eberwolf as the Beastkeeping coven head, but he also acts as Darius for a lot of the story beats—mostly because he takes the role as Daisy’s actually decent paternal figure. Trevor comes off as an old grump who doesn’t like people or fun, and he’s seen many a Golden Guard die in his time as a head of a coven… so, when he sees Daisy be rebellious for the first time in her life, his wolf dad instincts kick in. Not quite sure where Julia fits in yet, but she’ll fit in. Somewhere.
Jane: Terra. She has to be Terra. Gross plant woman who pretends to be sweet but is actually psychotic. She’d definitely suggest turning children into mulch as an apt punishment for failing a small challenge.
Nikola: Same deal, she’s Adrian. She can’t be anyone else.
Peter: He’s in the position of Odalia—an antisocial yet jovial businessman who reeks of old money. He also deals in security and weaponry, though he primarily uses oracle magic instead of Abominations, and he’s very interested in studying the effects illusion magic has on the mind. Of course, he can’t actually practice illusion magic, so he has to turn to other avenues for research… such as adopting three gifted illusionists. Needless to say, Peter is not a good parent by any measure,  and he kind of holds the fact that he adopted his sons over their heads so they don’t step out of line. Unfortunately, the kiddos don’t have an Alador equivalent (as far as I’ve decided), so the only person they can really go to outside of each other is Peter. Not a good environment, really. And it’s definitely complicated by the reason why their dad has all this standing and power, beyond just the family connections…
Elias/Jonah: So, he is in Belos’s place as the emperor who’s secretly a human witch hunter, but his motivations aren’t the same. Rather than planning on killing witches simply because he hates magic, his intention is to drain the magic from them and take it for himself—well, for humans, but mostly himself. Elias is also a lot more… shall we say, lax about interacting with other witches, which is why he has zero qualms with having an on-again, off-again relationship with Peter Lukas. And several other men throughout his time on the Isles. Yeah, Philip may be too deep in a Puritanical mindset to claw his way out of Narnia and admit that he’s not straight, but Jonah is a harlot and that’s a part of his character that stays constant. I’m not gonna go into his backstory, for spoiler reasons, but I will say that Gwendolyn is a Caleb equivalent, and Alice is her Evelyn. I’m riding on the Dyhard train and you can’t stop me.
Micheal (Distortion): And last but not least, I couldn’t make our boy Micheal anybody other than The Collector! I know that technically, he and Helen are kind of the same character, but she just doesn’t have the silly vibes that he does. All I can really say is that his story is… well, it matches up with in canon, except he’s more of a preteen than a kid. We know so little about Collie’s past outside of the events that led them to be trapped, and what we know about Micheal himself—pre-Distortion, of course—is equally as murky and unclear, so… yeah. He’s a funky neon star kid who originally manifests as a funky shadow kid.
And yeah, I think that’s it for now.

Spider-Man upside down kiss... But make it huntlow if Hunter and Willow met before the events of ASIAS.
I may have drawn something like that (exactly that) on my main blog and yes I'm selfishly asking for a fic... I can't help it I absolutely adore your writing... Your fics are my life force... ❤❤❤💚💛
OMG OF COURSE. I’m sorry the Spiderman references are non existent it’s mainly vibes and fluff
amazing art for reference
Hunter couldn’t help but notice her at the market place, as he was questioning the shop owner about a noise complaint they had issued. She had picked a rather big but lovely pot and was struggling to get a hand free to open the door. Instinctively, he rushed to the door to open it for her, flabbergasted as to why no one else did.
She murmured something he couldn’t quite hear as she struggled to balance the pot which was so large it covered most of her face. Despite the obstruction, Hunter could still tell she was beautiful. Her face was covered with specks of dirt and her hair was littered with twigs, but that didn’t distract from the way her peridot eyes reflected the light that shone through the door as he opened it.
“Oh, here.” He said, reaching out to adjust her glasses which had become askew in her struggles. Her eyes offered gratitude and Hunter suddenly felt hot for some reason. There was something about the way she didn’t act afraid or overly formal of his presence that made the simple action seem even more grand. Maybe she just hadn’t been able to see who he was but regardless he wanted to do a million little things for her, but sadly he had other duties to finish.
When he finally finished what he had come there to do, he had abandoned hope of seeing the girl again. Not that he wanted to. But he should make sure she didn’t require assistance. The Emperor’s Coven was supposed to help all citizens of the Isles, right? He never should have let her leave the shop in the first place!
The next weekend, he found reason to wander by the shop again. There was no reason to, and what were the odds she’d be back again anyway? He got his answer when he opened the door to enter and nearly ran into her standing in the doorway, holding an even bigger pot than last time. Apparently, the odds were very good.
“Oh, uh, watch your step,” he said quietly, holding the door open for her and hovering his hand under the pot to guide her safely down the small steps which she clearly could not see over the flower pot. There were even more twigs in her hair this time. She mumbled something again that Hunter could not hear, and he wondered why she needed another comically large pot so soon.
Normally he’d offer to carry the pot for her, never one to turn down a chance to show off his strength but he suspected the girl was stronger than him and he didn’t want to risk embarrassing himself by not being able to carry it without struggling. Normally he wouldn’t care about what a citizen thought of him but something about her simple mysteries intrigued him. At the very least he could offer her an escort.
He decided to follow her, but she was surprisingly fast even with such a  heavy burden to carry. When he finally spotted her again, she was talking to another girl. Or, rather, the girl was talking to her and not too nicely by the looks of it. Her face was sour as she seemed to prevent the girl from the shop from getting past her for a reason Hunter could not understand. Even under the weight of the large pot, she managed to summon a small vine with her finger to pull the girl from her path, clearly having no time for such foolishness. Hunter laughed at the three-eyed girl’s angered expression, marveling at the way the girl with glasses composed herself. He had to admire her dedication and focus.
The three-eyed girl was less amused, and stomped herself free from the vine and continued her mission to bother the girl from the shop. Taking advantage of her full hands, the mean girl reached forward and removed her glasses, stopping the plant girl in her tracks. Hunter could tell she demanded them back but the bully only laughed at the request before throwing them to the ground. He could tell she considered stepping on them, but changed her mind at the last minute perhaps saving the act of cruelest for the future as she kicked them into the mud before walking away in delight. Hunter could see the girl from the shop struggling to summon another vine to assist her in picking up her glasses, but could not find the right balance. He assumed she did put down the pot out of fear she would accidentally crush her glasses. So Hunter acted as though she was summoning him and rushed to her side to pick them up for her.
He carefully wiped the dirt from them with his cape before deeming them worthy to return to her. He looked up at her confused face, as she squinted at him and smiled, in spite of himself. “I uh think you dropped these.” He said as he slowly leaned in to place them back on her face.
She recognized that voice. It was the same boy who opened the door for her last week. Such a unique voice, she could hardly forget it. She hadn’t gotten a proper look at him last week, she hadn’t even been able to properly thank him. As he came into view, Willow couldn’t help the pink tint that graced her ears when she realized who the owner was. Were her eyes playing tricks on her or was the head of the Emperor’s Coven really adjusting her glasses for the second time that day?
“Sorry, I think the frames are a little dented,” he said, as though he had anything to do with the damage. “I can look into getting them repaired and get them back to you- though wait no you probably need them all the time. They’re not too broken are they?” He asked once they were as balanced as they could be in their current state.
“You’re the Golden Guard,” she said in awe once her vision fully returned.
“What gave it away?” He asked playfully. “Um, sorry about your glasses, by the way.”
She blinked, adjusting to the slightly altered view and half expecting him to vanish as though he was a trick of the light. “It’s okay,” she sighed, as this was not the first time this had happened. “I’ve been meaning to get new frames anyway.”
“Oh well, that’s good,” he said, clearing his throat. “If I may, I think gold frames would suit you nicely.”
“Gold huh?” Willow asked with a smirk. Of course he’d be a fan of the color.
“Yeah, it’d go great with your eyes,” he said, leaning on his staff. “Personally, I’ve always been a fan of green and gold together.”
“Well, it’s nice to have a fan,” she said, using the oversized pot to conceal her blushing face. Did he always do such detailed follow up with the people he helped? Surely such flattery wasn’t a normal part of the Emperor’s Coven. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Yeah uh well,” he stood up straight, as though realizing he had gone off script and didn’t have another line prepared. This was quite possibly the longest conversation he had ever had where someone wasn’t trying to get something from him. Willow waited for him to say something else, though she didn’t know what. She wasn’t used to positive attention, thinking surely if he knew the reason why Boscha had thrown her glasses on the ground he would’ve left them there. Or maybe the mask wasn’t the only golden thing about him.
“So, do you have a- woah!” He apparently put too much weight on his staff and he fell to the side, losing his balance and bumping into the pot. He quickly reached out to address the mistake, accidentally touching her hand in the process. Even beneath gloves, the contact proved too much for some reason and he teleported away, leaving Willow confused and grateful and still wondering if she had dreamed the whole thing.
She had heard of the Golden Guard, but he seemed almost too good to be true. She would’ve thought he’d be scary and pompous but it turned out he was actually kind of sweet? He was mysterious too. As she continued her walk she wondered why he wore a mask when none of the other Coven heads did. Was he living some sort of double life? He was around her age, maybe he went to school, did things outside of Coven work. He was a public figure, one of the most powerful witches on the Isles, yet he had taken the time to fix her glasses and compliment her.
She wondered what he had meant to ask her. Probably just her name. But still, she wondered why he would need it. It seemed unlikely the Golden Guard had the time to remember the name of everyone he helped, why would he care so much about a clumsy witch he met in passing?
He had left before she had the chance to thank him.
He had no business to excuse his presence at the shop, but managed to keep it in his sights as he flew patrol from above. Up so high, it was difficult to decipher individual faces but he couldn’t help but feel he’d be able to spot her.
She must have enough flower pots by now, he thought. Not that he cared. But perhaps she was shopping elsewhere today, if she was shopping at all. Not that it mattered.
But he did manage to find her again.
And somehow, much to his dismay, so had the three-eyed girl. He noticed the girl from the shop had with her another large flower pot, somehow even larger than the previous two. This time, she had brought a wagon to help her transport it as this one was nearly as tall as she was. Once again, the other girl seemed bothered by this for some reason.
The shop girl looked more annoyed than frightened, clearly having better things to do than entertain the tyrant. While the three-eyed girl went on about something, the shop girl had taken out her scroll and was reading something, paying no mind to her pursuer. Hunter couldn't help but laugh at the twisted face the girl made when she noticed she wasn’t being paid attention to, the plant witch clearly growing tired of her presence.
The plant witch picked up her wagon handle and moved past the girl, running over her toe with the wheel when she refused to move aside. In retaliation, she reached out and smacked the heavy pot from her wagon and sent it flying towards the ground.
Before Hunter knew what he was doing, he teleported over to where they stood and caught the pot before it hit the ground. The girls gasped at his sudden appearance, one from disappointment the other from astonishment. Hunter was relieved to see which reaction was hers.
“I think you dropped this.” He said in the coolest tone he could muster despite the pot being extremely heavy as he returned it to an upright position. “How funny you seem to keep dropping things.”
“Ugh,” the other girl scoffed, clearly telling by the tone of his voice that he was not amused by her little prank. Instead of apologizing, she rolled all three of her eyes. “It’s a ugly pot anyway, smashing it would be an improvement.”
“Well I happen to find it quite endearing,” he said, trying to seem intimidating to the rude girl but appealing to the one in glasses who he couldn’t take his eyes off of. Thank the Titan for the mask she couldn’t tell he was staring. “Try and be more careful with it? I’m rather fond of it. It’s...pretty.”
“Pretty? Yeah, it’s pretty something alright,” she laughed, clearing thinking he would join her mockery. But he responded with a silence that spoke even louder.
“Were you prepared to reimburse her if the pot did happen to shatter?” he said, summoning the low, serious voice he used to make arrests.
“Oh please, she’s a klutz who will only end up breaking it anyway,”
“I’ll take that as a ‘no,’” he said, cracking his knuckles. “So listen here: from where I’m standing, you’re guilty for several accounts of harassment, public disturbance and damage to personal property. Now, I’m feeling generous today so if you were to apologize to the young lady here I would-.” He turned to where the plant witch stood only to find she had left. “Wait, where did she-?” His eyes darted around and he saw her walking along the path, her wagon behind her. “Hey! Wait up!” He called, vanishing from sight.
Boscha was speechless. Did the Golden Guard just leave in the middle of arresting her to chase after half-a-witch Willow?
He slowed his pace as he got closer, not wanting to appear too eager. He hopped on his staff and tried to act casual as he flew beside the mysterious witch.
“Hey,” he said as charmingly as he could, but she did not respond. He cleared his throat and tried a different approach. “I don’t think she’ll be bothering you again any time soon,” he declared proudly.
“Seems unlikely,” she said, picking up her pace. She expected him to leave, his job was done, but he continued to fly by her side.
“So… what kind of plant are you gonna put in there?” He asked after a moment, too genuinely curious to be cryptic at the moment.
“A Venomous Flytrap,” she said. “The one I have has already outgrown two pots this month.”
That explains all the flower pots, he thought.
“A Venomous flytrap huh?” He was clearly impressed. “That’s a hard plant to maintain, let alone grow into adulthood. I bet that girl wouldn’t have messed with you if you had that in your pot.”
“Are you making fun of me?”
“For what?” He asked genuinely. He had to assume she was the subject of ridicule out of jealousy. Clearly any witch who could handle such a dangerous plant large enough for this pot was talented and capable and showed restraint by not lashing out.
“I dunno, people usually find a reason,” she shrugged, unable to help being somewhat skeptical of his intentions. But at the same time she didn’t want to lose his company.
“Well maybe you just need to spend time with better people,” he said.
“Like you?”
“I mean, people tell me all the time I’m too good of a person.” he said, shifting to lay horizontally on his staff, placing his fist under his cheek as he attempted to seem effortlessly aloof in his flying.
“Oh, he’s modest,” she giggled to her palisman who buzzed in response as she rolled her eyes affectionately. Hunter felt as though he had never heard such genuine laughter in response to something he said. It was addicting.
“Yeah, I’m great at modesty,” he said, not knowing what else to say, only knowing he wanted to say something.
“Clearly,” she laughed. “You’re a man of many talents.”
“That’s me, your friendly neighborhood Golden Guard,” he said, giving her a small salute. “At your service.”
“Well, aren’t I lucky?” she said, a warm feeling bubbling in her chest.
“Well, the Emperor’s Coven is always there to serve you,” he said. “Well, not just you. Everyone. Of course, not just you.”
“Oh, you mean you’re not my personal bodyguard?” she teased giving a fake pout.
“Do you want me to be?”
“Do you think I need one?”
“Well,” he began flying above her and turned upside down so his face was on her level, continuing to showboat his flying skills. “You do have a knack for getting into trouble.”
“Well, maybe you just have a knack for helping me,” she said, spinning her finger playfully at him. “That or I have a golden stalker.”
“It’s my job.”
“Stalking me?” she said with a smug smile, unbothered by the notion.
“I mean, I was in the neighborhood.” He said with a shrug. “But… I was actually kind of hoping I’d run into you again.”
“Why?”
“Just... wanted to make sure you...r pots were safe,” he said, his mouth suddenly dry and his brain screaming. “I meant it when I said they were pretty.”
She stopped and quickly turned on her heel to face him, and he stopped himself before he crashed into her. “Well, aren’t you sweet?” she asked, brushing her hair behind her ear.
“Most people don’t think so.” he said sheepishly. He had never been called sweet in all of his 16 years of living.
“Well, you are.”
“Well, it’s nice to have a fan.”
Something about the way he said that sent a chill up Willow’s spine. She knew he only said it because she had, but not far beneath the surface of the sentence she could tell there was a touch of sincerity. She knew nothing about this boy and yet he made her feel special. Seen. Bold.
In Willow’s experience, people only used this tone for two things: mockery and flirting. And if he truly wasn’t mocking her, then that meant…
Willow tried not to read too much into it. Surely flirting was a way he passed the time on dull uneventful days. With a mask to hide behind it just be easy to speak without consequences. Calling his bluff was simply too tempting.
“This is my house,” she said, gesturing  with her head. “Looks like your mission was a success.”
“Oh, yeah,” he said, wishing she lived further away. “So I guess… I should be going then.”
Willow smiled at the disappointment in his voice and took a deep breath before summoning the courage to speak her next sentence. “Well, can I at least give you a proper thank you this time?”
“Oh, actually we’re not allowed to accept tips.” He said modestly, viewing her company as thanks enough.
“Well lucky for you, buying this oversized flower pot ate the rest of my allowance,” she said with a sigh as though it was a great injustice of the world. “So look like I’ll have to find another way to express my gratitude.”
She stepped closer to him and Hunter forgot how to breathe as Willow placed her hands carefully on his mask. Despite its shine, she was surprised to see how many scratch marks it had, as though it was a cutting board. She slowly pulled it down just before his nose, exposing his lips which were pursed in a confused expression.
“What are you-?”
She tilted her head to the side, seeing if he’d pull away but instead he waited. She was close enough to see he was holding his breath and she took delight in his anticipation.
She noticed he had a gap tooth and it made her smile. It was adorable. She imagined him fighting back a lisp to ensure the crispness with which he delivered his noble words. Such a thin mask carried such a large persona, yet she felt as though she could see right through it if she just stood close enough.
She rose to her tip toes and leaned forward and gently pressed her lips to his. With one hand she held his mask in place and the other she placed gently on his cheek. Hunter tightened his grip on his staff, certain he’d fall off and ruin the moment. It wasn’t a long kiss, but Hunter still managed to kiss her back, lest she think her gratitude was expressed in an unwanted way. The blood rushed to his head and he had a feeling that would be the case even if he wasn’t upside down.
As soon as she pulled away and returned his mask to its proper place, he vanished from sight before she could say anything more. She stood in place for a moment, processing what had just happened. She hoped the vanishing was due to a prior commitment and not because she had done something wrong. But he had proven he did not hesitate to speak up when he felt something was wrong, so hopefully the fact that he had moved closer to kiss her easier wasn’t all in her mind.
Hunter watched her from behind a nearby tree, his heart racing as he scanned her face for a trace of regret or disgust. He did not see one and chose to end their interaction on that note. He couldn’t risk her finding out he wasn’t as cool as he led her to believe.
Willow shook herself out of her daze and picked up her wagon handle to head inside, the moment replaying in her head. She didn’t know how to explain what had just happened, and didn’t linger to read too much into us as she had an irritable and hungry plant to attend to inside. She would probably never see him again anyway, and who would ever believe her if she told them?
She didn’t even know his name. But she hoped she would have a chance to thank him again soon.

just a quick thing i wrote. it has spoilers for thanks to them and is mainly surrounding huntlow.
-------------------------------------
The sky of the Boiling Isles looked as if fire had burned it. Its usual soft pink color blazed a deep red color. Around them it looked as if everything had been burned. Maybe it had. It had been months. Who knew what had happened. If anyone was even alive.
Willow felt herself swallow a lump in her throat. She couldn’t think like that. She mustn't. She was the optimistic one. She was the one who lifted everyone's spirits. Even in the Human Realm when they all had no clue if they would ever be able to build a portal back home, it didn’t matter. Even if she could be sad she wasn’t going to let anyone know. Not even Gus or Hunter. If her pretending everything was okay gave them even a little piece of hope that’s all that mattered. Even if she had to hurt and pretend she wasn’t hurting just so the rest of them felt a little bit better so be it. Willow was the one who salvaged the broken pieces and made something of them. Willow was the one who quietly helped and comforted others. Willow didn’t care what happened to her. As long as her friends were happy nothing really mattered. No matter how much she hurt.
They had all decided to rest for the night in the remains of one of the nearby buildings that had been destroyed. They were taking watch in shifts while the others rested. Willow and Hunter had both volunteered the first shift. They sat outside the remains of the building watching the familiar yet unfamiliar world around them.
Willow looked over at Hunter. He seemed lost. She didn’t blame him. After everything that happened she didn’t know how he was able to even stand up properly. Everything had been ripped from him. Just when he had finally started to feel okay, some sense of normality the universe had ripped it away from him. When would this poor boy stop being hurt? Could he ever catch a break?
Willow walked over to him. Her hand hovered over his shoulder but she decided against touching him. He seemed a bit on edge after everything that had happened. He hadn’t said anything to her. It hurt a little but she didn’t want to bother him. Too much anyway.
“Hey.”
“Hey.” He didn’t turn to look at her. He just kept staring at the sky.
“What are you thinking about?” she asked, trying not to push him too much.
“Not much.”
“Really?” She said laughing a little, “Never would have expected that from you.”
Hunter didn’t respond. He traced the new scars that led up his arm. Willow flinched a little as she looked at him. His eyes had changed color and his hair had grown longer. She knew how much he hated the curl of hair in front of his face. She knew how horrible long hair made him feel. She couldn’t even begin to imagine how much these new scars on him hurt.
“Are you going to cut your hair again?” she asked him.
“I don’t know,” he mumbled “Seems kind of stupid to care about my appearance after everything that’s happened.”
“It’s not that you look bad,” Willow reassured him “I just know that you prefer having shorter hair.”
“Yeah,” he admitted softly, “but I don’t want to prioritize anything other than defeating Belos and the Collector.”
Willow reached for his left hand. He didn’t flinch. He barely reacted to her. He let her intertwine her fingers with his own.
“Well if you’re not going to prioritize making you feel better than I’m going to.” He looked at her, surprised by these words. She held his gaze fiercely. His face flushed. She wasn’t backing away from this decision. Nothing he could say would change it. Willow wasn’t even going to let him try.
“I’m not worth your concern,” he whispered softly as he tucked a loose piece of hair behind her ear, “I’ll hold you back.”
“Hunter, since when has caring about you made me less powerful?” she asked, taking his right hand in her own as well. She wasn’t going to let him run away from her, he needed her. He needed her help, her to give him hope and she was willing to do so. So why did he keep pushing her away?
“I-” He stopped and looked at their hands and linked his fingers with hers holding them close to his face, “Sorry, you’re always powerful no matter what.”
“Well then let me help comfort you,” she hated how her voice cracked “why won’t you let me, why do you keep running away from me?”
She felt her eyes become hot as tears boiled in them. Hunter reached forward, softly brushing the tears away while not letting go of her hands. She leaned into his touch before drawing back a bit. She wasn’t the one who needed comfort. He was.
“I’m always here Captain,” he said gently, “I promise I’m not running away from you.”
“Then tell me what's wrong, let me help you, let me listen to you.” She said, pulling his hands closer to her.
“I will,” he said leaning closer to her, “but only if you let me do the same for you.”
Willow pulled back with surprise. No. She couldn’t let him focus on her. She wouldn’t let anyone try to take time to help her. They all mattered more. Isn’t that what she kept telling herself?
Isn’t that what you keep telling Hunter not to think?
She pulled gently on the hood of her costume trying to ground herself. Did she even know what she felt? What was she supposed to feel? Was she allowed to be sad? By her own logic she knew that she was. Normally her heart didn’t believe it no matter how much her head said otherwise. No matter how much anyone tried to convince her otherwise.
But Hunter wasn’t just anyone.
And her heart really believed in Hunter.
A lot.
“I’ll tell you,” he smiled a little when she said this, “but you have to tell me first.”
“Looks like you’ve got a deal, Park.” he joked, his lips quirking up into his usual goofy smile that she was so fond of.
“So, Flapjack.” she said quietly.
Hunter's smile fell quickly and he let go of her hands.
“He shouldn’t have done that.”
“Hunter you were dying-”
“I don’t matter, he did.”
“You both matter a lot.”
“Are you saying you're glad he died?” He said sharply. It stung that he would even think such a thing about her.
“No,” she said sharply, “Flapjack is- was important to me.”
“You said ‘was.’” He countered crossing his arms.
“Hunter, c'mon you know what I meant! You know I feel horrible about the fact that he had to sacrifice himself for you!”
He didn’t say anything. He caved in and rested his forehead on her shoulder.
“Flapjack should have let me die.”
“Hunter-”
“Willow please,” He whispered, “Just stop caring about me, nobody should.”
She pushed him off her softly, holding his shoulders so he had to look at her.
“Hunter,” she said firmly, “I’m not nobody and I'm not going to stop caring about you.”
“Sorry I shouldn’t have said nobody-”
“Hunter.”
He looked into her soft green eyes that seemed to pierce through him.
“You matter a lot to me, nothings going to change that no matter how hard you try.”
He didn’t say anything. Had she messed up? Was he upset? Was he going to argue with her? What if-
Hunter wrapped his arms around her waist and gently pressed his forehead against hers.
“Same to you Captain.”
Willow blushed fiercely, pressing her face into his chest so he wouldn’t notice. He didn’t say anything. They didn’t need to. Willow and Hunter. Hunter and Willow. They mattered to each other immensely. Even when the other trapped themselves in a void of nothing but self hatred the other would always be there to help them out.
“Does my hair really look bad?” he asked her with a small laugh.
She glanced up at him quickly before holding him tighter. She looked up and smiled at him, amusement causing her eyes to glimmer slightly. Hunter blushed slightly as she started to ruffle up his hair softly.
“You’ve never looked bad,” she said gently combing his curly piece of hair back behind his ear with her fingers, “but I also know you don’t like your hair like this.”
“Hmmm,” he hummed softly, pulling her slightly closer to him, “It does remind me a lot of Belos.”
“I’m going to burn that lump of slime into dust the second I see him.” Willow growled angrily.
“I don’t know if fire works on him.” Hunter said thoughtfully.
“Well I’ll find something that does then.” she decided.
Willow noticed how the sky had turned purple while they were talking; the night slowly claiming the land. Maybe this world hasn't changed too much. She looked up at Hunter. Though his eyes had turned a soft brown and his face was covered with even more scars the expression on his face was familiar. She smiled as she gently placed her right hand under his chin tilting his face slightly so their noses almost touched.
“I’ll cut your hair as soon as we get the chance.” Willow said.
“Okay.” was all he managed to say as she leaned into him.
Willow closed her eyes and pressed her lips gently against his. Hunter blinked, surprised by her actions but closed his eyes leaning towards her. Willow ran her fingers through his hair again, completely lost in their kiss.
—----------------------------------------
Gus woke up and rubbed his eyes trying to remember where he was. He was supposed to take the next watch. The moon was shining and the sky was a deep purple. Hunter and Willow had clearly extended their shift. Why did they have to be so stupidly selfless all the time? Gus got up to go tell the both of them to get some rest.
“Hey both of you, I’m going to take my shift now.”
He peaked out of the remains of the building to see Hunter and Willow quickly move their heads away from each other. They held each other in their arms and the two blushed a red almost as deep as the color of the sky had been earlier. Gus rolled his eyes.
“If you two want to keep making out or whatever that's fine but someone should really be keeping watch.”
Willow pulled her hood over her head as much as she could out of embarrassment while Hunter quickly brought his hands to his sides and awkwardly sat down on the ground next to where Willow was standing.
“You guys should sleep,” Gus said gently, “I can keep watch.”
“Nope,” Hunter said, “You can both go to bed, I can keep watch.”
“Oh my titan Hunter, how many times are we going to have to tell you that you shouldn’t sacrifice your sleep?” Gus asked, crossing his arms.
“Well I-”
“Hunter, I think it would be best if you went to bed at some point.” Willow said gently brushing her fingers against his left shoulder.
He looked up at her and sighed, “Fine but make Amity take this shift or something, Gus shouldn’t lose sleep.”
Willow laughed, “I’m going to tell her you said that.”

Have any Episode 5 predictions?
Oh...just a few...
Zava and Shandy out Colin. As in, Zava posts an image of Colin and Michael from the end of ep3/sends it to the press, but Shandy encouraged him to. We know Shandy wants a big "scandal" to blow Twitter up and we know Zava left the restaurant a few moments after Colin and Michael. Zava will claim he posted the image because Shandy said he should "show some love on his socials" but it would definitely be at least partially due to his anger surrounding the West Ham match. This allows a segway into two issues being resolved - Keeley will get to tell Shandy off for basically jepordizing her company and her job, and Zava will get to be put in his place. Maybe he'll leave. Can you leave halfway through a season? Apparently it's to do with your contract, so since Zava signed with "You're welcome" he could probably leave. So yeah. We'll get Zava and Shandy problems because. I want that.
On the subject of gay, Trent and Keeley will be gay. I'm not saying "canonized" because, as you can probably tell, it fuckin pisses me off when people say that bisexual Keeley is a headcanon. It's not. It's canon. Anyway, Trent will be canonized as queer and Keeley will revisit her bisexuality. Obviously it will be mainly Trent but I think Keeley deserves to get fuckin pissed off at Shandy for outing someone.
Okay enough self-indulgence. Aside from the episode dealing with three issues - Colin, Shandy and Zava - I think it will also deal with Rebecca in one of two ways. Firstly, it could deal with her whole green-matchbox-prophecy thing which I am now going to explain my theory of because it's my blog and I can.
-What if it wasn't a green matchbox. What if it was a green matchbox soldier. Something Ted is well-known for having and giving out. I'm not even a Tedbecca shipper but I can see when I'm wrong (ignore my huntlow denial). Rebecca's not going to get back with Sam, just like Keeley's not going to get back with Jamie. She's going to get together with Ted. Okay theory within theory is over-
Okay now that I've explained that, that's option one. Option two is that she deals with her issue with Rupert. In that way, I mean her bestie arc with Bex begins in full swing. Perhaps they bump into each other in the shops, perhaps at a game, but the point is they bump into each other. I think Bex is genuinely a nice woman who respects and likes Rebecca. Anyway, maybe Rebecca mentions the assistant idk. But those are the options.
BUT I think my first option is correct because the episode is literally called "Signs". Which brings me to my fourth point-
4. The match against West Ham will be addressed. I mean, come on, three red cards? It's got to be addressed. Again, the episode is literally called "Signs", so the Believe sign is coming back. The team are obviously going to be very ashamed of themselves (Dani is going to need more therapy lmao) and I think they'll opt not to disclose the information of why they went batshit crazy.
5. HOWEVER, I think Nate will begin to wake up, maybe even apologize to Ted. Ted will explain what Nate already knows and they might even part on good terms. I want this for two reasons. Number one, Nate was my BOY for season 1 and part of season 2 and I miss that teeny lad. Secondly, I think putting a good word in with Nate s what Ted needs. He needs to be reminded that his way of life does work. So far, he's got yelled at by Rebecca, had his request gone against by Beard and Roy, been embarrassed by the team and found out about Michelle and J*cob (fuck him) (and her actually). He needs to be reminded that he actually does so much good. He changed Nate's life. He gave him to opportunity to coach, something I don't think Beard would do and something the old coach definitely wouldn't have done. This is something he needs to remember.
Anyway. I know not all of this can happen, but the synopsis is "With their season in a tailspin, Richmond try to right the ship against the mighty Manchester City. Off the pitch, everyone faces their own setbacks." These setbacks 100% could be Keeley's issue with Shandy, Zava's anger at the match, Rebecca's increasing concern over the matchbox or Bex, Colin's problems with coming out. Of course, my thing with Nate and Ted isn't exactly a setback for Richmond, but it definitely is for West Ham. So there are my options. I hope you enjoyed them.
Also, where are these asks coming from istg-

Hey there! I’m Katta! This is my INTRO!!
Hii!! You can call me Katta or Rose/Rosie/Rosalie, whatever.
I am a MINOR! Please, don’t make any sexual comments to me or any people on my page, as it makes me uncomfortable and most likely the other person.
I am transgender, pansexual, and asexual. I go by He/She pronouns! I look more feminine, but I act more masculine! (I prefer the ‘He’! Pronoun!)
I am a multishipper! This means I ship characters and people with multiple others, an example: I ship Huntlow (Hunter x Willow from The Owl House) and I ALSO ship Willuz (Willow x Luz from The Owl House)! I am NOT a proshipper. Proshippers are VERY different from multishippers. Some can be both! Proshippers are people who ship problematic ships! Such as, adult x child, sibling x sibling, abused x abuser, any incest in general, such and such. I do NOT promote that and do NOT promote it.
I am in plenty of fandoms, yes, but I am mainly an Owl House blog! I have plenty of fandoms, though. The Owl House, Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, Anne with an ‘E’, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Hunger Games, Ramshackle, Ride The Cyclone, Waitress, Heathers, Gravity Falls, Amphibia, Delicious in Dungeon, and a buncha others I can’t really think about right now!
I am a WRITER! You can find me on AO3 as willowsz_plants , you can find me on tiktok with the same user name! I’m more active on tumblr, though.
I have two current WIP’s and many other ideas, but I’m focusing on two! Both being Hunter-centric, yet being a Willow fan lmao. New Beginnings is a Human AU, and so is my other WIP, ‘Discord’. I just so happen to love AU’s, thank you very much.
I use hashtags to categorize my account, for example! #katta rambles for my rambling, #katta reblogs, for reblogs, blah blah blah you get the gist!
I am have autism, so if I don’t pick up on things sometimes, please don’t blame me! I also have OCD and PTSD.
My lovely girlfriend, @karinkamcstinka , will make her appearance sometimes! We love Kari <3
Anyways, I use tone tags a lot! So, if I don’t pick up on things, PLEASE, use tone tags. Very much appreciated!
Okay, BYEEE!!!

The anti’s have found me so I just want to say I’m a biromantic/bisexual on the ace spectrum. I didn’t add any “anti-huntlow” tags to the og post which means they literally go through the huntlow tag looking for shit to stir up this is legit so funny.
Anyway, Hunter was literally confirmed bi in TTT because of the bi patch on his sweater. Why does it suddenly become moot when Eda and Sasha have been confirmed to be bi in the same way? We don’t constantly need Word of God--you’d know this if you had a shred of media comprehension skills. As someone once pointed out, if he was supporting Luz and Amity he would’ve also placed a lesbian patch on it.
Sure, we have no real confirmation for Willow otherwise, but why does it matter? Bi4Het happens all the time irl and is a dynamic that should be represented. (I think Willow is pan, before anyone says anything, but since there’s no confirmation there’s wiggle room for literally anything to happen).
As someone who is ace it pisses me off that people ignore that both aromanticism and asexuality are a spectrum. If you have a hc that Willow or Hunter is aro/ace and are uninterested in romance that’s cool. But stop fucking being rude to others and understand that Dana nor anyone on the writing team does not have to adhere to your headcanons. In fact they shouldn’t. No one should. And don’t say “oh I’m not shoving this down anyone’s throats” because you are when you do shit like this. You’re falling directly into stereotypes. And you’re going to the point of thinking about writing to Dana and her team to “critique” them about their writing choices--mainly Huntlow??? Have we learned NOTHING from the toxic Voltron fandom?? Hello???
And yes! Being awful about the fact that Huntlow is m/f is literally biphobic!!! And transphobic!!! YES, I KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT! BECAUSE GUESS WHO IS BOTH TRANS AND BI!

How To Train Your Dragon: Hiccstrid, Rufflegs. Not sure about any others. 🤷‍♀️
First Ship Ever: I guess probably Rufflegs.
I love Ruffnut and Tuffnut, the Thorston Twins.
Last Song You Heard: Would you believe? The end theme music from The Owl House Season 3, Episode 3, Watching And Dreaming. On Spotify. 🙂
I play this a lot, especially if I go walking anywhere...
Favorite Childhood Book: Definitely the Hiccup Series of books by Cressida Cowell, starting with "How To Train Your Dragon".
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Train_Your_Dragon_(novel_series)
These books served as the inspiration for the Dreanworks "How To Train Your Dragon" movies and series.
There's a lot of the books in the series.🙂
Currently Reading: Apart from the books connected to my education...
For myself, as research for writing...I've been reading a lot of fan theories about The Owl House Universe. The maps, timelines, calendar, and lore, especially those penned by Marztheincredible.
https://marztheincredible.tumblr.com/?source=share
Currently Watching: When I can, I'm mainly re watching The Owl House. Mainly for research, to help with my writing projects. 🙂
Currently Carving: (Should this be Currently Craving?)
Hmmm. More Time, I guess? I've got a lot going on just now, educationaly and home life. 🤷‍♀️
Currently Consuming: Given the choice of food...
Meat and Salad Grinders...
These are also apparently known as Sandwiches, Subs, and other names in various States!
Plus Wraps, Pizza, and all sorts of Human Realm Food!
It's mostly very tasty! 😉😋
I hope that this is what is required?
Best wishes.
Em.

wip -- this is part of a bigger project I may get around to developing. It’s mainly Hunter neglecting to focus on his personal issues by forcing himself to experience “normal things”, like having his first kiss, etc., etc. (and then that all eventually backfiring on his mental health). avoidance tactics, amiright?? I’m the queen of them. I never thought i’d post this, but i saw another anti-huntlow post and thought eh, fuck it.
anyway, it’s a wip, and still not even like a first draft, so it’s unedited with a bunch of grammar mistakes, like most everything I ever write. Please don’t go into this expecting anything good lol
note:  With everyone seemingly turning 15 in the show, and Luz being shown to have completed at least one year of high school, I’m assuming the group (Gus, Luz, Amity, and Willow) are 10th graders (sophomores? years 10s? why does everyone call it something different?).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Luz! Luz!” Amity screamed, backing away, “Luz, no!”
“Luz yes!” Luz cackled, aiming the water gun at her girlfriend, “Luz very much yes!”
“No!” Amity squealed through a smile, “Truce! Truce! I’ll give you whatever you want!”
“Whatever I want, you say?” Luz quirked an eyebrow up, lowering the water gun.
Amity shook her head vigorously, clasping her hands together, “Anything!”
Luz thought about it for a moment, tapping her cheek before giving Amity a smug look, “What about a kiss?”
Amity’s cheeks pinkened, but there was no mistaking the way her ears perked, “I think maybe I could manage that.”
“Okay, but now, I want three!” Luz snatched Amity up by the waist.
“Three,” Amity mock cried, allowing Luz’s to dip her backward, “that wasn’t the deal!”
Luz laughed before pressing her lips to Amity. When she leant in for the second one, she smirked against Amity’s own smile, “Doesn’t seem like you’re putting up much of a fight about it?”
“Oh shush,” Amity cupped the back of her neck, closing the distance between their mouths.
With simultaneously happy sighs, the pair fell into a deeper kiss, until thankfully, in Hunter’s fucking opinion, Gus saved them from the disgusting display of affection.
“Ha!” the younger boy yelled, rounding the corner of the house with the garden hose and spraying the lip-locked girls.
Luz and Amity didn’t break completely apart as Luz shielded Amity from a majority of the attack. With one arm around Amity’s waist, Luz aimed her water gun at Gus and haphazardly started shooting.
“Gus! Betrayal!” Luz yelled over Gus’s cackling and Amity’s screeching, “And during Pride month!”
“It’s almost August!” Gus cried as he sprinted away, Vee on his tail.
“Don’t worry, sweet potato!” Luz pressed a kiss to Amity’s cheek before turning to chase after the others, “I’ll avenge you!”
“I’ll always remember you!” Amity cried out after her.
Hunter huffed, sticking his tongue out in disgust. Those two were always hugging and kissing on each other, and honestly, he didn’t understand the appeal. It was just mouth hole flesh touching another person’s mouth hole flesh. There was no way they’d ever catch him doing anything so vulgar. He ripped his gaze away and stubbornly set about unlacing his boots.
“Boop!” Something hard and plastic nudged his cheek as Willow bent down into his field of vision with a giggle, “Gotcha, Hunter!”
He fought off the urge to jump, eyes widening slightly in surprise, and let his hands fall away from his boots. Willow, like everyone else, was soaking wet. Her braided pigtails were dripping and her glasses were dotted with water. She gave him a warm, amused smile that he sourly could not find it in himself to match.
Instead, he glared at her, batting the little toy water gun off his face, and pointedly ignoring the way the front collar of her shirt dipped down, exposing areas she likely didn’t want expose. Under any other set of circumstances, the task would have been more difficult, but his socks were wet and he hated that.
“Aw, don’t pout,” She laughed, “I wasn’t gonna actually shoot! All empty, see?” She shook the gun, showing that it was in fact out of water, and plopped down next to him on the steps.
“I wasn’t pouting,” He snapped, going back to tugging on his shoelaces.
She clicked her tongue a few times, shaking her head, “I told you you’d want to take those off, didn’t I?”
“You could have warned me a little better!” Hunter huffed, trying in vain to blow limp wet hair off his face, “It’s on you if my library books end up ruined!”
She had the audacity to laugh, and Hunter’s body had the audacity to respond. He felt his ears heat up at the sound.
“Don’t laugh,” He commanded, but it came out as a whine even to his own ears.
“In my defense,” Willow threw up her hands, “I really didn’t know they had that whole bucket attack planned out.”
“My socks are wet,” He complained, pulling off one boot, and then the sock.
She shrugged with a good-natured smile, giving him a sympathy pat on the shoulder, “So’s my bra, which is totally worse, so I think, by comparison, you’ll be juuusst fine.”
He fumbled with his other shoe, trying his hardest to pretend he hadn’t heard her say that as he thought about the human store at the “MA-all” that unabashedly advertised the women’s undergarment, and his heart picked up speed. Without being asked, his mind conjured up image after not-so-regrettable image of Willow, and lacy bras, and Willow in said lacy bras, and wondered if this meant he was a bad friend.
He scowled at himself and tried pushing the thoughts away, focusing instead on the uncomfortable feeling of wet clothes on his body. The sticky texture would drive him insane soon enough. He shook his hair, trying to rid himself of some of the wet.
“Hey!” Willow chastised, ducking away as the water splashed up on her.
He combed his fingers through his hair, pushing sections of it out of his face, save for the stubborn lock that knew no rhyme nor reason. Water still dripped down as his temples as he turned to glare at her once more.
“Serves you right.”
Willow sputtered, “I haven’t even sprayed you yet!”
“Yet!” He echoed, throwing his arms into the air.
Willow’s face contorted and she covered her laughter up with her hand, shoulders shaking. He continued to fume while she settled down.
“You know,” She snorted once, then twice, “I think I kind of like your hair like that, all slicked back and stuff. Makes you look older.”
“You can’t sweet talk your way out of this one, Captain,” He glared at her, watching the way her tongue licked at the corner of her mouth, catching a stray drop of water.
He ripped his eyes away the moment he realized he was staring, clenching his fists.
Flesh hole, he reminded himself, it’s a flesh hole!”
“Oh, it’s not really sweet talk, don’t worry,” Willow smiled at him, “more like me saying it’s interesting seeing you with a normal sized head for once.”
Illicit thoughts of Willow disappeared for a moment as he let out a mirthless laugh. He pointed to the hose Gus was waving around, “I swear, I will commandeer that and make you suffer, so chose your next words very carefully.”
Willow’s eye gleamed at the challenge, “Oh, it is so—”
A shrill scream cut through the yard, and this time Hunter really did jump. His panic flared in his gut, and a steady hand on his arm kept him from jumping into action, pulling him back down into his seat on the stairs.
“Hunter, Hunter! It’s okay, calm down,” Willow cooed, her voice gentle, sweet, and grounding, “it’s just Amity, she’s okay! Take a breath!”
Past the thundering heart beat in his ears, Hunter looked across the yard towards Amity, who was again in Luz’s clutches. A large smile split across her face as Luz’s twirled her around, nuzzling into her neck.
Hunter rocked back into the steps with a sigh, massaging his temples, “her and the screaming.”
“She’s just having fun; she doesn’t mean it,” Willow hummed, letting him go, “but why don’t we go inside and take a break, huh? Make some lemonade like Ms. Camila showed us?”
Hunter knew what she was trying to do, and in some ways, he appreciated it, but guilt stabbed him through the gut. If he went inside, and brought her with him, that meant he was ruining the fun again. He didn’t want that.
“No.” Came his clipped response, and then he cringed at his manners. Correcting himself, he added, “I mean, no thanks.”
“Don’t worry, I knew what you meant.” Willow smiled at him as she leaned back on the stairs, “I understand.”
Together, they watched the others in what felt like awkward silence. He felt the same dreaded feeling he always felt when it seemed like someone wanted him to dive into his feelings. He racked his brain for literally anything else to say when Luz and Amity started kissing again.
Curling his lip, he looked away, “Ugh, do they ever stop?”
“It’s sweet,” Willow argued.
“It’s never ending,” He countered, relieved they had something else to talk about besides his…issues, but not happy it was about this.
“You know,” She leaned into him with another smug look, “you sure do get grumpy around them when they’re like this. Are you maybe—” She wiggled her eyebrows, “—jealous?”
“Jealous!” He spat, offended, leaning away from her, “Why would I be jealous?”
“I don’t know, Hunter,” Willow shrugged, “you tell me.”
His eyebrows furrowed together at a loss as what to say. What else was there to say? He wasn’t jealous! Especially not of them!
A short laugh escaped Willow, and she bit down on her bottom lip to hold it in. His eyes followed the movement, watching her teeth sink into the plump flesh, and his breathing shallowed as he pictured the way Amity and Luz had smiled when they kissed, replacing their faces with Willow, and mortifyingly, himself.
Hunter unclenched his jaw and ripped his gaze away from her mouth.
“I’m not jealous,” He repeated, keeping the idea that he may have been feeling slightly envious to himself. Something in his tone dimmed her smile and he felt his frustration bubbling back up.
“Aw, don’t worry, I know you’re not.” Willow nudged into him with her shoulder, “I’m just messing with you, but I promise,” She held up one hand and placed the other over her heart, “no more teasing Hunter tonight.”
That didn’t make him feel better. She was doing it again, accommodating him for something no one else needed to be accommodated for. He bit down on the inside of his cheek to stop himself from snapping at her, and instead, took a deep breath in and out.
“You can keep teasing me,” He muttered, looking away, red in the face, “I don’t care.”
She looked back over at him slightly surprised, “You want me to keep teasing you?”
He huffed, “It’s what friends do, right?”
“I guess it is,” She agreed with a smile and nod.
“Then it’s whatever.”
“Well, then, okay, I’ll keep teasing you.” Her smiled only got bigger.
“Good,” Hunter nodded, “and I’ll…tease you back? Uh, right?”
“Right.”
“Good.”
The conversation lapsed once more into silence, but this time it was comfortable, and he was glad the matter was settled. Just when he thought about moving on and testing out the dryness of his socks, Willow spoke up once more.
“Hey Hunter, now that we’re friends who can tease each other, can I ask you an embarrassing question?” She asked, not looking at him.
“Is this, like, a trap?” He squinted his eyes at her.
“Heh, no,” She shook her head then thought her answer over, “well, maybe, but it’s a trap in your favor, depending on your answer.”
“Then what is it?”
“It’s just, uh, have you ever kissed anyone?” Willow asked despondently, resting her cheek against her knee as she watched Luz and Amity.
His pulse quickened, nervous all the sudden with the direction their conversation was going to take them.
“Uh, not really, no,” Hunter answered honestly, simmering with slight embarrassment as he stole another look at her mouth. In truth, he hadn’t done anything with anyone, but he was at least socially competent enough to keep his mouth shut and not admit that much. The most physically intimate contact he had ever shared with another person were Willow and Gus’s group hugs, but it wasn’t like he could admit that to her; it sounded pathetically lame even in his own head.
She sighed and shot him a smile, “that’s good!” Willow froze for a moment before shaking her head and blinking, “I mean, in the sense that at least I’m not alone, heh. I’ve never kissed anyone before either.”
“So?” He quirked a brow up, “Is that a problem?”
He didn’t think it was. In fact, he was relieved. The idea of Willow kissing someone like Luz kissed Amity made his heart clench uncomfortably.
Another despondent sigh left Willow’s mouth, “Well, no, I mean, at least, that’s what everyone says, but—” She shrugged, crinkling her nose, “—still a little sad, right? Like I’ll be an 11th grader next term, and I still haven’t been kissed.” She slumped further, “I’ll probably be the only one, it’s embarrassing.”
She did look a little glum about it, but Hunter didn’t know how to console her. He hadn’t considered his kissing dilemma to be a dilemma until this exact second. Up until this point, he had just sort of floated through life under the general assumption that if he was ever lucky enough to get kissed or laid or any of that stuff, it wouldn’t be until, like, he was married or in his forties or something, if he even lived to be that old in the first place.
So, instead, he nodded his head towards Gus and said, “uh, but what about Gus? It’s not like he hasn’t either, right?”
She gave him a look, and his brows furrowed as he tried his best to piece it together. Sheesh, what had happened to their celebration of solidarity a minute prior? Had he said the wrong thing again?
“What?”
“Take a wild guess, Hunter.”
“Wait—” He gaped, “has he—?”
“Mm-hm,” She nodded, rolling her eyes, “it was accidental—” she finger-quoted, “—but it happened.”
“But, he’s like barely even thirteen,” Hunter pointed out.
“Yep.”
Hunter was silent for a beat, turning this revelation over in his head. “Wow, that is sad,” He blinked, suddenly feeling worse about himself.
“Yes,” She rocked her body into his with a snort, “but at least we’re sad together.”
“Yeah,” he laughed, shaking his head in disbelief, “I mean, a twelve-year-old beat us! If things get much worse, we’ll just have to resort to kissing each other.”
The joke was out of his mouth before he could stop it and the moment he heard it, the moment his brain had registered what it had allowed him to say out loud, he clamped his mouth shut so fast his teeth clanged painfully together.
“Joking, of course!” He blurted out only seconds later, feeling his pulse in his ears as he tried to save the meager situation, “Like, ya know, like, ha! Us kissing, like, last resort to get it over with, you know, because who knows what’s going to happen! But, like, I was joking! I mean, we may die, tomorrow, so wow, dead without a single kiss that would suck, so, wow, this is, I just keep talking! I really just keep talking!” He jumped up with a maniacal laugh, almost content with the knowledge that later tonight he would be drowning himself in the toilet, “I’m gonna go inside now!”
“Wait,” A hand grasped his wrist, pulling him back down, “wait, no, you’re right.”
If he had a soul, it left his body.
“I am?”
“We could die,” Willow mumbled, looking away with a distant stare as if she were adding something up in her head.
“Well, it’s not a matter of could, just when, really.” He corrected, because he had this magical inability to shut up.
She looked up from the ground and searched his face (currently on fire; unattractive), and he watched as her face (pinkened cheeks; very attractive) hardened as she came to some sort of decision, nodding to herself.
“Hunter,” her hand slipped from his wrist to his hand, “will you be my first kiss?”
It wasn’t often his mind was reduced to nothing. There were events he chose not to remember. There were times where he purposefully choose to tune the bad things out. There were safe places he had created in his mind that he could retreat to. This, however, was not like any of those times. This was probably one of those times he’d remember for the rest of his life, and he had no idea how to respond because he had never thought he’d make it this far, or be in this position, especially with Willow, who made him blush just sitting there.
Somehow, some part of him--the little part that screamed and cried and longed for the chance to fit in and do normal teenager things--pushed aside all the other little Hunters working the controls of his brain, and slammed the big red button that made Hunter nod yes.
When Willow’s face lit up in response, Hunter swore his knees turned into abomination goo. He stole a glance at Gus and the garden hose and wondered if the water was still ice cold, the heat on his face was making him whoozy.

My favorite thanks to them moments (part 2)(cause this episode is to good to not)
Tumblr media
Willow in this episode 🤣💕
Like she's always been seen as the more responsible one but this makes her so third dimensional and I love it!! Amity and vee are just like "you are not going out in public like that" but willow and Gus are all here for it, and oop is that some huntlow I see 🤨🤭 this gives friend group vibes, and Wich they are but it's not always shown like this. it's great to see them being actual teenagers.
Tumblr media
I love amity I swear!!!!!But you can't deny it's funny when she falls. 😂
This little montage is just cute, also you can't blame amity here she used to work at a library, she usually knows what she's doing and is a natural in scenarios like this but human library's are things she's not so used to.
Tumblr media
I think Gus has dropped his mission on reconnecting with giraffes.🦒
It's funny how they're all terrified of going to see the giraffes, it's also sweet to see all of them remembering they're families when seeing a dad with his family in the distance it's something they all(except vee) relate to. Gus and his dad willow and her dads and then of course amity with her dad and siblings, And any/all moments like that hit my heart ❤️
Tumblr media
Bye bye Jacob!!! Hello Masha!!! (I thinks that's they're name right?)
Oh vee you adorable ball of cuteness!!!! You just faced a giraffe you got this!! Also another non-binary character woooooo!!! Vee is adorable and I really hope these two connect more off screen.
Tumblr media
Gskshvjsiebsuehebe
Why.........just.....*sniff*.*sniff*... Get my owl family together please 🥺 ok so like what do you think luz's palisman is going to be, I've seen theories of it being a bird, bat, snake, and otter. For me it's between bat and snake. Also the glyph doing something had me very intrigued the first time around.
Tumblr media
Found family is one of my favorite Troupes.
If you haven't already guessed from the way I freak out over Luz, Eda and king I love found families. Now I see hunters found family being mainly with Darius, of course with his sibling dynamic with Luz and Gus, and a bit of a connection with Eda and Raine. But this is amazing, hunter finally has a family that will only grow with time and it's too sweet for my heart ❤️🥺
Tumblr media
Is that a Garfield mug or just me 🤔
Y'know with these sorta scenes I usually feel a whole lot of second hand embarrassment, but in this I didn't instead I found it quit entertaining. Camila having a fandom she was in just like Luz does, along with a whole closet filled with merch, cosplays, etc. Is adorable and I just enjoyed her reaction here.😌
Tumblr media
Sarah Nicole-Robles I am honered to share a name with you.
Idk why but the way she just says "wow" just felt so real. And the whole video entry had me scared of what Luz was planning to do.
Tumblr media
*Sigh* hello Jacob.
I'll admit I was a bit worried when Gus first intervened but my worries were quickly brushed aside. Also Jacob how do you know about them were you stalking them! I mean like it's Halloween filled with many others doing similar things but you decide to specifically target this child? Hmmmmmm suspicious. Ah well the cops got him anyway. 😌
Tumblr media
Evelyn.....really.?
Ok so my personal headcanons where pretty correct on the Wittabane backstory l, but it's still nice to see it be shown. Now if anyone doubted that Caleb's lover wasn't an ancestor of Eda da and Lilith, your wrong. It doesn't flat out say it but it's obvious. Evelyn,Edalyn they changed two letters, that isnt enough? how about the similarities in carving, and or birds huh. Hello again Masha nice to see you, that last line of yours has you on belos's list though.

I post about a lot of stuff, but mainly The Owl House (Nocedas + Clawthornes my beloved)! I'll also occasionally make art / fanfic, once I get the courage to put it up here :)
I'll probably update this as time goes on, but... Anyway, my system for tagging stuff is below :)
[Tags]:
CW/TW Tags:
#cw [...] | General warnings for content that may upset people.
#tw [...] | Specific triggers.
CW/TW Tags will always come first.
Fandom / General Tags:
Fandom / General Tags will come next. If the post doesn't pertain to a fandom, I'll include a few general tags about the content of the post.
#the owl house | Posts about The Owl House
#toh spoilers | Posts that contain spoilers about The Owl House.
#toh promo | Posts that contain or discuss promotional material about The Owl House. I tag this for people who like to watch as blind as they can be.
[Character Tags:]
TOH Example: #luz noceda, #camila noceda, #vee noceda, #amity blight, #willow park, #gus porter, #hunter toh, #eda clawthorne, ...
[Ship Tags:]

Category Tags:
Pretty self-explanatory here...
#reblog | Not my content, instead something I've reposted.
#art reblog | #reblog, but for artistic media I did not make.
#my post | Posts I've made.
#my art, #autumn's art | Artistic media I've made
#autumn writes | Fanfic / Artistic Writing I've made.
Final Tags:
After category tags, I'll put any extra thoughts / ramblings / things one could charitably call jokes.
